AN: Not much to say. Enjoy
I have to admit, for a person who usually is all into clubbing and partying, I am very nervous right now. Usually, when I go clubbing, I know what I'm getting into with ones from Hell or even Earth. But this is different because this club will cater to demons and angels. Even after Collin assured me that A, the club would accept me and B, angels do know how to party, I still felt like I had stomach flip-flopping. Don't get me wrong, I'm just as excited to see it as I am nervous about it. But I'm the Queen Bee. The party always centers around me.
So it's going to be awkward not having that happen this time. I don't even think I can use my usual tricks unless I know I'm not gonna get my furry ass burned for it. Still, no guts, no glory.
We get to Dionysus, and I have to give points for the design. It is clearly designed to look like a grand cathedral in terms of structure, but there aren't any religious designs for it. Instead, the glass windows are enchanted to show various people dancing to the music that can be heard from outside, the bells were replaced with speakers giving announcements to any new songs, drinks, or deals, and the multiple flowers and vegetation decorated the doors and entrances as if welcoming you to a garden of partying. I even see outdoor sections sealed off by gates for those who want to party under the stars.
But the best part? I'm feeling the vibes like mega vibes.
Suddenly, I'm ready to burst in there and sing a song myself.
"So, are you ready?" Collin asks as I grin and give the devil horns with my finger.
"Ready to party it up and kick some ass!" I shout as we head towards the door. The good news is that Collin got us a reservation, so we can skip the line.
Once we get to the front, I feel everyone's eyes on us as demons quickly recognize me as the Sin Lord of Gluttony and proclaim such out loud. In less than a second, everyone gets out their cellphones to take photos and videos. Well, might as well make the front page of every social media in the afterlife. I give a few peace signs and winks while Collin tries to hide his face by flying close to me.
The angel bouncer, who reminded me of Vortex a bit but with white fur and blue eyes, looks at us as he raises an eyebrow. "You? With her?"
"Uh, yeah?" Collin blushes as he rubs the back of his head.
"...My man," He grins and holds his fist out, which Collin bumps after a second of surprise. "Head on it. Enjoy the fun."
I give the guy a wink as we do, and holy shit, do I love this place already. It's your standard two-floor inside club design, but what stands out is that what it lacks in height, it makes up in width, and I suspect there is some angelical dimensional placement design to make it happen. It's nearly a hundred yards of action with a huge dance center filled with human souls, angels, and demons. For once, none of them are at each other's throats and instead are dancing, grinding, and shaking to the beat, which is a bit more techno than I usually like, but it's not bad.
The lights ensure the place is lit and the bass is cranking. Cherubs fly around with drinks to give to people, as multiple bars can be seen around the club's walls, while a few areas are designed for sitting and eating whatever food you order. There are also these strange, glowing large balls of light that everyone bounces around with their hands, like party balls; only these seem to unleash positive vibes when you hit them. Like auras of positive feelings that aren't too different from how I influence the food and drinks I make. I have to see if I can make something similar. Or steal one before we leave.
The second floor is more of a social gathering area as it's mostly just the outer ring of the club. The clubers there mostly chat and drink, but a few are making out. Naturally, most are with their own kind here, but you see small groups of demons and angels interacting on friendly terms. I don't know if they are dating, but that makes this thing between me and Col more unique.
"So, what do you want to do first?" Collin asks me as I rub my chin.
"I would recommend getting to know the host first."
We turn around, and approaching us is an angelic being with blue skin and bright yellow eyes, wearing an all-white Edwardian Era suit with a top hat. He has a silver cane in his hands and four angel wings behind his back. A pair of shades decorate his face while he holds a martini glass in one hand before sipping it and tossing it away where it poofed into dust. "When my doormen told me that the Sin Lord of Gluttony herself, Beelzebub, was coming inside, I thought I was past drunk already. But low and behold, here she is in all her honey-foxy glory."
Heh, figures. Well, might as well make friends.
"And I take it you're the owner of this establishment?" I reply in a relaxed pose. He holds out his hand. I let him hold mine as he kisses it and nods.
"Indeed. Dion is the name. Welcome to my club. I must say I've had VIPs here before, but none like you." He then turned to Collin. "Your date?"
"Yup," I tell him as I bring Collin closer, which makes him blush. He also works for me at my club."
"Ah, the rumored cherub that is working in Hell. Guess I got two VIPs to please tonight," He said as he tapped his cane on the ground and snapped his fingers. Two platinum-colored club passes appeared, and he handed them over. "Consider yourselves welcomed to my club as top-ranking members. Shall I show you the VIP lounge? We could get drinks."
Sounds like we found our first thing to do here.
The VIP lounge was on the other end of the establishment, where high-class-looking angels and a few apparently recently dead human celebrities were hanging out. It reminds me of my VIP lounge, which has only a lot more purple, fluffy cloud designs for the furniture and mostly angelic alcohol instead of demonic. Naturally, I am the only demon here, with everyone staring at me, but I handle it with my usual charm. I snap my fingers, summon a double tequila shot, and drink it before turning to Dion. "Nice place. You should get a fire pit, though. Marshmallows go great with chocolate wine."
"Hmm, good idea," He said as we sat down and ordered a few drinks and appetizers. "So, what brings you two here?"
"I, uh, thought Bee might like seeing how angels have clubs compared to her own as part of our date," Collin says, and I have to admit, I'm impressed how easily he's letting it be said that we're dating.
Well. On a date. Not dating dating.
...Yet.
"Oh, interesting," Dion leans forward with interest. "You two are on a date? You're not the first Angel and Demon I've seen romantically, but a Sin Lord and a Cherub? Didn't see that on the bingo card. Has it been going well?"
"Very good," I tell him as I drink my cocktail. "So, how long has this club been around?"
"About thirty years," Dion says as he leans back. "She's been my pride and joy since I made her. Purgatory can get so busy that I decided to make a place where people can relax and have fun. Granted, a lot of people didn't like the idea that I opened it for demons to come in, but it's about having a good time. Not where you were born."
"Amen," I tell him as I finish my drink.
"Anyway, whatever you guys want is in the house. Just tell your friends about this," Dion said as he got up and twirled his cane. "Gotta get the DJ to play something more pumping. You two are interested in dancing?"
"Uh, I'm not the best-"
"Hell, yeah, we are!" I said with my tail shaking.
"I'll make sure he puts on something rump-shaking," Dion says as he snaps his fingers and vanishes in a white blink.
A few minutes later, a catchy and foot-tapping beat goes off, and I can already tell this is a jam I'm gonna get loose on. My face grins as I grab Collin, who yelps. "Come on, Sheep boy. Let's dance."
I pick him up and fly us to the dance center as fast as possible. Once I find a place, I let him go and hold his hand. For a moment, the beat echoes around us as we stare at each other face to face. Knowing the song that starts playing, I start first as I bop my head and slowly walk towards him, swaying my tail a bit to make him blush as he backs up.
Slowly, I shake to the music, and he soon joins in. He's got an awkward but cute motion that I can't help but giggle at. Then, when the chorus hits, I break out the better moves and let my party self unleash. Collin just stares a bit before giggling and pumps his hands up. For a moment, there is nothing but two of us dancing side by side as strobe lights go off, and the two of us aren't demons or angels. Nor boss and employee. Just two people who like each other having a chance to cut loose.
I decide to tease him by turning around and getting low with my rear raised. I sway my rump in a circle with my tail going with the flow to ensure he sees the goods I got below. I think he's going to just blush as always, but to my shock, he smirks and starts actually grinding behind me. He gives me a wink and holds both hands on my haunches as he moves his shoulders.
Okay, I like this daring Collin. A lot.
Shimming up, I let him wrap his arms around my neck as he nuzzles me and then, surprisingly, kisses my cheek. "That's for the surprise kiss."
I can't help but laugh as I feel...really happy...a happiness I haven't felt in a long time.
Oh, fuck me. I'm really falling for him, aren't I?
After having fun on the dance floor, we both go to a bar, get a few drinks, and order bar food. A few demons and even angels have approached us asking for photos or shaking my hand, to which I oblige. With his permission, I even took a selfie of Collin and me on our date, featuring us holding drinks. Immediately, I got hit with social media attention and a few messages from friends ranging from asking how I got to Purgatory to whether I was doing a concert there or banging Collin.
I swear, if it wasn't for the fact that I respect his request to wait until marriage, I would have found a hotel and ripped that wool off. Because I am impressed with our date and might like him like him. So much so that I want us to have a second date after this. Was he boyfriend material? Maybe he's winning me over. But I have a rule. Three dates to make me want you as your girlfriend was the limit. If you managed to get my heart thumping after all three, I would be your girlfriend.
"So, how has our date been?" Collin asks with a smile as I kiss him on the cheek in response. "That good, huh?"'
"Totally," I tell him as I finish my drink. "I didn't think you'd be this good at dating, but I guess you really know how to please a lady."
"...Well, I gotta be honest. This plan was originally for someone else before I met you," Collin sighs as he looks at his glass with a sad smile. "When it didn't work out, I figured I'd use it for you, and I'm glad I did. This has been a great night, and I'm happy to spend it with you."
"Who's the unlucky girl that I should be glad didn't get this awesome night?" I ask with a smirk before I see a saddened frown and instantly feel a wave of anger and sorrow. "Collin?"
"...I guess I can talk about it," Collin said as he ordered another drink, a heavy one, which means this is gonna be tough shit to talk about. I get serious and wait for him to start after a few sips.
"So, you know that I used to work for the group my friends and I started, right? C.H.E.R.U.B?" He asks as I nod. "Well, for the longest time, I had this crush on one of my friends, Keenie. She and I had known each other for a long time, and I always wanted to ask her out, but I got the feeling she wasn't interested in me. This led me to dating other girls instead. I did tell my parents and my other best friend, Cletus, about my crush, though."
"So what's with the negative vibes? 'Cause this sounds like more than unrequited love," I tell him.
"...It turned out that both my so-called best friends had been dating behind my back for years," Collin whispers as he lowers his head, and I wince. Oh yeah. That's bad. "Worst of it was that both knew of my crush on Keenie but never told me they were dating. Cletus, I told him, and he went around me to date Keenie. Keenie figured it out a long time ago but never said anything. They didn't want to hurt my feelings, but I was devastated nonetheless. Not because they were dating, I could have accepted it, but they refused to tell me and went behind my back. I would have been hurt, but I would have accepted it. They were my best friends. I would have been happy after some time to grieve. But...they lied to me...and that led to an argument..."
"How bad?"
Collin closed his eyes and wiped a tear. "Some things were said...that should not have been said..."
I slowly wrap my tail around him and bring him close for a hug. Poor guy. Hurt by his best friends and one of them even his crush. No wonder he left. I wonder what they said that broke up their friendship? I don't dare to ask. I can tell this is still all hurtful for him. "You know what? Fuck them. Their loss. If they weren't honest enough to be upfront with you, then that's their problem. Me? I'll always be honest."
"Yeah, I know. You're the kind of demon who isn't afraid to say what they want," Collin chuckles.
"Damn straight," I say with a grin as I finish my drink. "So, what have you got planned for our second date?"
"Second date?" He looks at me with a surprised look.
"Yeah," I chuckle, "after a night this good? You can't tell me we're not having a second one."
Collin smiles warmly before wrapping his arms around my neck. "I'll think about it later. Right now? I want to think about something else."
"Like what, handsome?" I say as I bring him closer.
"I want to think about your honey-coated lips," He whispers before pressing his against mine.
Mmmmm.
Divine.
So fucking divine.
It's official.
This angel has my heart bouncing more then any bass has ever done.
I'm so glad I fucking hired him.
