In The End, We Stand Tall: Ch. 21

Usagi smiled while her eyes glistened ever so slightly with heartfelt emotion, "Hah," she scoffed, "you know what? I didn't even realize it until just now."

"Realize what, exactly," asked Mikey while Usagi housed a fond expression on her face, her cheeks flushed a rose-pink, and her lips tugged themselves into a soft smile.

Usagi sat back until her body pressed against the bubble. Mikey pouted in anticipation before she began to speak. "Y'know, I've never been able to use the Silver Crystal's full power, unless he—my soul, my body, my mind, my true love—was near."

Mikey puffed his cheeks in frustrated confusion as began to chuckle slightly. "Aw, that's…romantic. Cute, in a way, I guess," he made a quick gesture to reintroduce their predicament, "But, uh…dosent that mean we're doomed because Mamo isn't here," he started slowly not realizing what his friend was letting on.

Usagi giggled as she playfully pushed Mikey's right shoulder. "That's not my point!"

Mikey raised an eyebrow clearly indicating he didn't catch the girls drift.

Usagi huffed childishly, "What I mean is," she paused before pouting sadly as she considered letting valuable information slip from her lips, "y-you may not know it, but you also contain a powerful Crystal. My crystal's counterpart. We can't wait to be rescued, that'll waste too much time. If we combine our Crystals-"

Mikey didn't let her continue because he cut her off by interlocking their hands. Slowly but surely, the world around them began to shine silver, gold, and white. Symbols began to appear around the two: showing their respective guardians…both of theirs (subtle foreshadowing?).

Usagi gasped as she quickly averted her eyes from the sudden burst of fire that surrounded Mikey along with the outburst of colorful constellations; but the human-looking yokai didn't seem frightened, he seemed pleased, which confused the sailor, very much so.

Once the male opened his recently closed lavender and brown eyes he looked at the glowing, newly clothed—surrounded briefly by constellations of the solar planets: Usagi over before grinning, "Lookin' good, Sagi," Mikey chirped as he playfully winked at his friend and gave her a thumbs up.

If Usagi wasn't in shock, she would have blushed at the compliment he gave her, but she simply gasped at what she saw once the fire died down, "Mikey…" she mumbled slowly.

Mikey scrunched his lips in concern, 'Why is she looking at me like that,' he asked himself before looking down to see that Usagi was not the only one to undergo a costume change. "Usagi," Mikey asked in a shaky voice as he too looked himself over.

The two briefly closed their eyes and thought the same thing. 'Why do we both look so…so knightly?!'

"Guys," started Makoto as she raised a trembling hand to point upwards, "look!"

"What now…" Rei trailed off—her jaw dropped slightly as she looked up.

The others gasped at what they saw.

Ami raised a shaky hand to her mouth before speaking causing her Boyce to be muffled slightly, "How…what is this? That power…ima made mita koto no nai monodesu!"

Minako tilted her head to the side in confusion, "Saturn?"

King Endymion shook his head, his bangs moving about as he did so—Minako nearly laughed at that, "Īe, Sailor Venus, close but still not quite right. That's the constellation of Phainon," he corrected as they all looked up at the constellations that formed four—colorful—symbols in the sky.

A purple constellation, which formed the sign of Phainon.

A white constellation, which formed a lighting bolt.

A silver constellation, which formed an isotoxal star.

A rouge constellation, which formed a compus.

Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion looked at each other knowingly.

The Queen smirked, a nostalgic yet youthful expression on her face, "It would seem that they have awakened in the past."

The King nodded in agreement, "It would seem so, my love. Their power somehow showed itself all the way into the future."

Mamoru raised an eyebrow, "What?"

Rei placed a firm hand on the prince's shoulder, "I second that. What?"

The rulers of Crystal Tokyo just smiled and held back a laugh. Their daughter looked at the sky as if she were just now realizing something, "The Stellar Knights!"

Ami gasped like if she just remembered something, "That name…"

"Why does it sound so familiar," continued Minako while she looked at her blue haired friend with curiosity.

Rei hissed, "Does this have to do with the Princess and Prince of our kingdom disappearing?"

"Rei," scolded Luna and Diana as Artemis sighed.

Neo-Queen Serenity smiled gently as she looked at her younger friend, "Don't be rash, Sailor Mars. Be patient, trust in my past self along with my past brother."

"Yeah," added Diana, causing the others to giggle as Makoto grabbed Rei and forced her to bow, "Sorry, Queen," Rei said sheepishly while Makoto laughed.

The queen chuckled, "All is well, Sailor Mars," she turned her attention to her daughter and her past lover, she looked at the two in thought before smiling, "Hm- You two…"

"Us," asked Mamoru as he tilted his head in confusion while Chibiusa continued to happily stare at the colorful constellations in the distoriented sky of a destroyed Earth, "I don't follow."

Neo-Queen Serenity's eyes glowed with youthful mischief, "How do you two feel about paying Sailor Moon and Sun Knight a visit?"

Chibiusa finally looked at her mother in stunned silence as Mamoru gaped at her, "My Queen," he stumbled, "I-"

"Of course he is! But what of me," Chibiusa cried as she interrupted the teenager, "but what help can I be?! Tuxedo Mask is a hero! What am I?"

The Queen's gaze softened, "You are my daughter. The heir to this very kingdom. You, my dear, are a future sailor Senshi. You just have to believe in yourself and what you're capable of!"

"Believe," Chibiusa repeated hesitantly whilst the Queen and King sighed before speaking once more.

.

Usagi's lip trembled as the two finally made eye contact, her eyes shook, "Otōto…" she whimpered with uncertainty as her eyes held unshead tears. Her eyebrows furrowed in thought. 'His eyes…they're not Mitsuki's but their not Mikey's either…"

Mikey gasped as he looked into the girl's unfocused eyes, with confusion, "What…what did you just call me? I…"

'Only my brothers call me that. Even, sometimes April...Why would she call me little brother? Did she confuse me for Shingo,' Mikey asked himself while Usagi was having a mini crisis involving the reincarnation of her past brother who dosent even remember their past life and is internally crying.

"Such a powerful display of strength! However, you two are still no match for me," the skull rumbled as he interrupted the twos thinking process.

"But we are," exclaimed a glowing green Mamoru as he and a glowing pink Chibiusa suddenly appeared—floating. Looking closer, the two teenage omega's saw that Chibiusa held her own little pink rod; one very similar to Usagi's and on her sailor belt, there were the time keys.

The little girl gasped as she saw her past mother and uncle, she happily smiled, "Sailor Moon! Sun Knight!"

Mikey gasped in return, he grinned largely. "Chibiusa?! Tuxedo Mask?!"

"In the flesh," Mamoru chuckled as he looked into his lover's eyes. "Are you alright," he asked a flushed Usagi.

"She's fine. She's just shocked to see her soulmate here," Mikey teased when he saw Usagi wasn't going to answer any time soon.

Usagi flushed before childishly crossing her arms, pouting, "Hey!"

"Ahem! We've come here on behalf of Neo-Queen Serenity," Chibiusa explained impatiently white taping her rod against her free—open palm—hand.

"The Queen," Usagi and Mikey yelped in unison as they looked at each other in shock. 'She's awake,' they both thought.

"Yes, the Queen," Mamoru stated as he tried to break (more like pop, but whatever) the sparkling and glowing yellow space-bubble.

"I may be small," Chibiusa continued, "but I can help! I know that now."

Usagi's gaze lightened, she smirked encouragingly yet playfully, "Of course you can help! In fact," she made eye contact with Mamoru and Chibiusa, "you are the ones outside of this bubble!"

The skull began to evilly laugh causing everyone to flinch before looking at Nemesis.

Mikey scoffed, "Dude, they were having a family reunion," he yelled as he gestured to three humans.

Usagi nodded in agreement as she pouted, "Let us be for ONE moment!"

The skull named Nemesis but liked to be called Dark Phantom scoffed, "I take orders from no one. I will be defeated by no one."

"What a big fat lie," Chibiusa scolded as she raised her free hand, "I am the Pretty Guardian Trainee who fights for love and for justice," she twirled around in a similar way Usagi did, "I am Sailor Chibi Moon! And now, in the name of the future moon, I'll punish you!"

"Petty and pathetic little princess. You don't even know what true power is," the skull chuckled.

The comment made Usagi hiss protectively as she reached for her tiara—she was about to throw the tiara at the skull if it weren't for the boy sitting next to her.

Mikey, being as empathetic as he was, somehow knew Usagi's thought process was darkened by the comment, he placed a comforting hand on her shoulder before nodding over to Mamoru who nearly had the bubble popped. Mikey made a 'shush' gesture.

Usagi nodded in understanding as she let her hand drop to her side. Usagi tried to fiddle with the ruffles of her skirt but realized that she no longer wore her signature skirt—she blushed bashfully as Mamoru looked at her with leisure; Usagi stuck her tongue at him.

"Now," continued the skull with forced amusement, "the little pathetic princess is CHALLENGING me on her own," he chuckled teasingly.

Mamoru looked up, his mask framed his enraged expression. "She isn't alone," he said through gritted teeth.

"Nor is it implied that Chibiusa is any amount of pathetic," Usagi huffed, raising her head high in a show of authority as she scowled at the skull.

Mamoru blinked repeatedly at his girlfriend while Mikey tilted his head to the left in amusement, "Who says 'nor' other than Dee," he whispered to himself as he attempted to contain his laughter. He grinned. 'He's always trinna act all poetic and mysterious, my brother. Dummy.'

Usagi shook her head, "Chibiusa, believe in yourself," she exclaimed as the bubble suddenly popped (curtsey of Mamoru).

Mikey stood up and helped Usagi stand, "Let your passion fuel your mystical powers," Mikey stated.

Usagi smiled before pulling out her own pink magical rod, "Hit that planet with all ya' got," she pointed the rod suggestively at her future daughter with an uplifting tone.

Mamoru stepped next to Mikey and Usagi before saying: "Send your power of the Legendary Crystal inside you onto Nemesis!"

"I…" murmured Chibiusa before whimpering.

Usagi's smile faltered. "I'll be here with you the whole time."

Chibiusa pursued her lips before forcing her face into a smile. She looked at Mamoru, then Usagi, then Mikey.

All of them smiled at the little girl with encouraged expressions. 'I can do this! We can do this,' Chibiusa thought with enthusiasm. She closed her eyes for one second…two…three- "Moon Princess…" she trailed off as she raised the rod.

"Halation," Usagi finished as she similarly raised her own rod.

The two girls began to twirl before pointing the rod towards Nemesis. A bright white light flashed and surrounded them as Nemesis screamed, when suddenly the rod's shattered.

The two girl were instantly pushed down by Mikey who had also grabbed Mamoru to protect them (by spinning his kusari-fundō really fast, creating a shield like barrier around them) from Nemeisis colliding within himself.

When Mikey finally lowered his kusari-fundō, the group could see that Nemeisis was no longer.

"Is it over," Mamoru asked slowly as while he got up, he bang to look around.

"I…I think so," Usagi replied.

"Uncle," Chibiusa asked when noticing that her past uncle was staring at nothing.

Mikey's eyes shook for a revelation had come to light within his mind. He looked down at himself before blinking slowly. "I need to talk to Barry now," he murmured to himself.

Usagi squinted her eyes. "What," she asked.

Mikey looked at Usagi before concentrating hard and Usagi's outfit suddenly turned back into her sailor uniform.

"Nani," Usagi yelped once she saw she was dressed like a Senshi again.

Mikey stood. "We need to get out of here. Have any ideas Sialor Moon? Guardian of Mystery?"

Usagi gasped as she also stood up. "I don't-" she began when a heart shaped compact adorned with gems appeared infront of her.

Chibiusa's eyes had starts in them as she realized this was her mothers doing.

"The cosmic power I feel," Usagi murmured while looking at Mikey. "How did you know?"

Mikey leaned closer to her and made a shush motion. "I heard the stars whisper," he said as if that was the normalist thing to say.

Uaagi smiled nervously before hugging him. "Oh Suki…"

Mikey shrugged cluelessly as to why she keeps calling him that before returning the hug.

"Not to interfere with your moment but shouldn't we be getting back to Earth," Mamoru asked.

Chibiusa nodded. She raised her hand which held a small key. "Time to go home!"

.

.

.

"Nemesis has been destroyed. 30th-century Earth is back to normal," reported Minako.

Usagi nodded before gasping while feeling her brooch. "It's renewed! So it wasn't all a dream?"

Mikey chuckled as she shook his head.

"I wish it were," Rei muttered as she huffed causing a hair to move form her face to the side of the ear.

"Where's the Queen," Chibiusa asked while looking around.

"She's safe. She went back to the palace," Minako replied as she placed her finger to her bottom lip in a *I'm think* gesture.

Ami nodded. "Time has started to flow naturally again."

"We have to go back now, too," Makoto added.

Chibiusa stood up, "Let's go," she chirped. "I'll take you back to the past on behalf of Pluto!"

"What about me," Mikey asked.

"You were implied Uncle," Chibiusa scoffed.

Mikey blushed. "Oh!"

Usagi started to look back towards the palace until Rei placed her hand on her shoulder. "You know it's forbidden to see your own self, Princess."

"I know. I just wanted to thank her."

"Trust me, she wanted to thank you too," Mikey stated.

"Wha-"

"Oi! What's the hold up," Chibiusa screamed before pushing the three teenagers infront of her. "We're limited on time so move your bottoms.

"Hai~"

.

.

.

Usagi woke up suddenly in her room.

Usagi looked around until she saw her magic mirror given to her by a mysterious stranger after her first day as Sailor Moon.

Usagi looked really hard at herself.

'How can I be queen one day?'

Usagi put the mirror down and look at her hands. 'Maybe it was all a dream? Queen and Chibiusa too."

"Morning, Usagi! Time to get up," Chibiusa exclaimed while Usagi flinched.

"I just don't want to be late!"

Usagi frowned. "Late for what?"

"To go back to the 30th-century of course!"

Usagi gasped as she buried herself in her beg sheet. "Oh. I see. Go on without me. I-I don't feel so good!"

Chibiusa pouted. "Gomen…"

"No! Don't apologize!"

"I…please don't be mad at me for being so selfish."

Usagi whimpered into her bed.

Chibiusa walked closer as she spoke. "I really want to stay here longer…but Usagi, having me here annoyed you, didn't it?"

"WHY WOULD I BE ANNOYED?!" Usagi cried as she sat up. "It's true you alwasy do whatever you please, and you don't care how I feel."

"That's…" Chibusa began before speeding into Usagi's arms as the both wailed.

A few minutes passed before Usagi pulled away, smiling, "I can't be crying. I'll see you off," she whispered.

.

.

.

The two walked back to the place were it alls started for the two. Back when they first met when Chibiusa fell form the sky.

"You're leaving, Chibiusa," asked Mamoru who had just walked over.

"Mamo-chan," Gapsed Chibiusa as Mamoru knelled inform of the girl.

"You forgot this," Mamoru stated while holding up a Tuxedo Mask plushie. A plushie Chibusa accepted with open arms. "Don't cry," Mamoru assured as he patted Chibiusa's head.

"Mamo-chan, you were my prince," the girl declared, "Thank you."

The two teenagers eyes softened as they looked at Chibusa.

Chibusa pouted when Luna-P started beeping. "I gotta go now. Dad and mom are calling me over."

The fountain began to glow silver.

"Here, Usagi. This is form mom," Chibusa said as she handed Usagi a larger rod. "It's your new Heart Moon Rod!"

Usagi smiled when she held the rod for the first time.

"I really liked it when everyone would call me Chibiusa!"

"Chibiusa…"

"Staying at the Tsukino household and playing with everyone was really, really fun. I'm glad I got to come here."

And with that, Chibusa began to run into the fountain. Without looking back she yelled, "I loved everyone I got to meet but I loved Usagi most of all!"

Once the light disappeared Usagi began to bawl as she leaned into Mamoru who was saying assurance words to her.

.

.

.

"It's like we had a very long dream," Usagi stated after an hour of talking about random things on a bench around the fountain.

"Is that so," Mamoru asked as he lent back.

Usagi nodded. "A dream that felt like riding on a roller coaster."

"It was no dream. It'll be here before you know it," Mamoru replied.

"I hope so."

The two teenagers made eye contact and soon they began to kiss when suddenly Luna-P hit Mamoru on the head and Chibiusa was landing infront of the two, giggling.

Chibiusa bounced around while holding a letter. "I'm back~"

The two teenagers started at her with their jaws open wide form shock.

Chibiusa waddled over to them while waving the letter. "Heres a letter form Dad and Mom!"

Dear all, I'm glad to hear that you volunteered to train Small Lady. Please take care of her, but don't worry we sent in a small reinforcer! Best regards, the hottest queen of all!*

"…"

"That does sound like something future Usagi would write," Mamoru sighed, exasperated.

"It's so nice to be with you guys again," Chibiusa cheered as she danced around on the bench.

Usagi stood up. "What did I…uh, future me mean by reinforcer?"

"Erm…"

Suddenly a bright yellow light flashed and an unknown young sailor scout appeared infront of the three.

Chibiusa blushed a dark shade of red. "No way mom sent you," she yelped as she pointed an accusing finger at the female.

The female giggled with a slight snort. "Auntie Serene and Uncle Endy seemed it was a good idea, cuz!"

"Cousin?!" Mamoru and Usagi screamed.

"You can understand slang, good for you," the female gasped mockingly as she stepped forward.

The female had dark—tanned—brown skin, long white yet delicate eyelashes that complimented her almond shaped bright red eyes that seemed to glow in some angles along with star shaped freckles around her nose.

Her combination seemed to complement her sailor form.

Her outfit was a white and pink sailor fuku uniform with a butterfly's pattern engraved; she wore a pink butterfly insignia on a white choker; white arm-warmers (gloves) with light pink butterflies on them—her boots followed that pattern too; her front bow was a light pink with white ruffles; she also wore rose-gold sun earrings; along with white & pink butterfly-like wings attached to the back.

The females hair was black hair and faded into a light pink with azalea colored fulani braids (box-braids w/beads).

But the most eye catching thing about her was the rose gold tiara was placed on her head. Her forehead was exposed. There it was. A sun.

Usagi walked closer to her skeptically. "Who are you?!"

"Oh ho ho! What sass," she bellowed. "I am Sailor Papilio Butterfly, also known as Princess Inara of the UnderSun kingdom!"

"Under…SUN?????"

"Did I stutter?"

Chibusa pouted, "You've barley been a sailor Senshi for a year though!"

"Oh shush! Be glad your parents didn't send Kousagi. The sibling rivalry would've been wild."

"Don't bring my sister into this," Chibusa shrieked.

"SISTER?! HOLY-"

"WHAT THE FU-"
