The Experiment

Charlie sighs to herself. As she walks with Ruby and Millie down the halls of the school, she could see the sympathetic looks her teachers and classmates were giving her. Charlie was able to handle things at home by ignoring them, but school always seemed to remind her, remind Ruby what happened. She wanted them to stop. They reached the front door, other kids leaving as well. Charlie held Ruby close on her right as they walked. Millie walked with them from the left of Charlie.

"I wish they'd give it a rest." Millie says, annoyed.

Charlie smiles at Millie. "Me too." She agrees.

Millie smiles back. "So how's your Uncle doing?"

"Qrow's fine." Charlie says with a shrug. "He said he was going to start teaching me how to be a Huntress soon if I wanted too."

Ruby pouts. "He said I had to wait until I was Charlie's age." Ruby says.

Millie laughs before looking to Ruby. "Don't worry, you'll get there Ruby." Millie then looks to Charlie again. "Would your uncle be against training me too?"

Charlie shrugs. "I don't see why." She states. "He's the one picking me and Ruby up, so we can ask him when we get to him."

Millie nods. "I'd appreciate that."

When Kali woke again, she found herself strapped to a metal table. She tried struggling, but nothing happened. She starts to cry again feeling complacent helpless, useless. Her baby girl, her perfect baby girl was killed by these two men. Her body stuffed into a animatronic for kids birthday parties. Kali looked around to see the robot on a similar table, however unlike her, it had some odd thing above it. The robot was shuddering and shaking. It's eyes we're looking at her, and Kali swore she could hear it crying ever so faintly. Kali didn't see her tormentors, but she could guess that they were nearby. Then she heard the robot speak and she froze.

"Mom..."

Kali's eyes widened with horror. "Blake? Is that... you?" Kali knew it was impossible. There wasn't any way. She had to be hallucinating, or her tormentors had done something to...

"It's Me." The robot's voice was definitely Blake's. Kali was about to say something, but then she heard clapping. Looking over she saw a man in the shadow of the room, his silver eyes almost glowing. She could see that he was wearing a white button up, and jeans, his sleeves rolled up.

"How touching!" The man says. "A reunion! Oh but we can make it better. Tyrian?"

"With pleasure!" Tyrian's voice came from the other side of the room. Kali looks over to see Tyrian standing by a lever. Tyrian pulls it and the thing above the robot containing Blake activates. It's roar shaking the table she was on, sounding like a jet engine. Then bright blue fire began to engulf the robot as Blake's echoing screams were heard sounding as if screaming from a void.

"BLAKE!!!!" Kali screams. Her tears falling as she struggles against her restraints while the men laugh together manically as if this was the funniest thing they'd ever seen. Kali felt sick, horrified, and angry. Her baby girl had just come back to her, and now these men had taken Blake from her a second time.

After a few moments the robot was Liquid Metal. The man who was seemingly in charge steps up to the table where the robot had been with a metal syringe.

"Now for the moment of truth." His silver eyes turns to Kali. "Now it's time for a perfect reunion."

Kali couldn't understand what he meant. He steps closer to her syringe in hand. He then grabs her restrained arm and forces her wrist to turn to him. Kali's eyes widened as she realized what the man was doing.

"Tyrian, begin the recording. Let's see if this experiment works." The man orders. The man holds up the syringe, pressing the plunge a bit so some of the liquid would be visible, but instead of metal, it was some glowing purple liquid. The man smiles before setting the syringe down for a moment. He then wipes her wrist with a wet wipe and then pressing down on her wrist a few times.

"No... please don't." Kali could here the desperation in her own voice. The man smiles at her.

"Don't worry, your daughter will be with you soon." The man says. He then grabs the syringe and carefully aims it to one of her veins on her wrist.

With a prick of pain, Kali screams. She then felt her wrist burning as she wreathed and shook uncontrollably. Her eyes rolled up as she started screaming. She started to see things she did and didn't remember. Remembering reading books she'd never even held, and holding her own hand. Kali realized she was seeing every memory her daughter had.

"MOMMY!!!!" The voice of Blake echoed in her mind and she couldn't tell if she herself was screaming that word as well. The man's silver eyes came to her view again. She could see it now. Blake had seen the yellow rabbit in the ally across the street from the Pizzeria. Those sliver eyes had lured Blake close.

"We're going to have so much fun back here!" The rabbit had said. Then everything started to fade and Kali felt herself slipping. She could see the room again.

"A success." Was what the man said with a smile on his face. He was leaning over her. "Now let's see if this will kill them both." The man pulled out a knife and held it to Kali's throat.

"I'm sure it will." Tyrian says.

"I'm not. Besides, even if we kill them, it's not like we don't have more test subjects." The man says. Tyrian laughs.

"Oh I agree." Tyrian says. "But May I do the cutting? Her annoying crying was getting on my nerves. I think this would be... therapeutic."

The man with Silver eyes laughs. "Very well. She is all yours." The man says.

The man stepped away as Tyrian leans over Kali. "Oh what a beautiful face." His hand began caressing Kali's cheek and he gave a mocking pout. "Such a shame." He then smiles widely as blades unfolded from his wrists.

Summer and Raven enter the rather small workshop together just as a Faunus woman was leaving. She bumped into them accidentally.

"Oh I'm sorry!" The woman apologizes. The woman bows deeply. Summer noticed that the woman had a new prosthetic arm even though she hardly looked like she could actually afford one.

"It's fine." Summer says stepping aside. The woman apologizes again before leaving. Summer notices Raven raising an eyebrow at her. Summet rolls her eyes before continuing inside. They soon saw a middle aged man with brown hair and wearing a white lab coat over his soft brown skin. He smiles at them standing up from a stool.

"Why hello there!" He greets kindly. "How can I help you?"

Summer steps forward. "I'm sorry to bother you sir, but I'm looking for someone." Summer holds up her scroll showing her Huntress License. "You are Pietro Polendina, right?"

The man straightens and frowns. "Oh. Yes, that's me. Have I done something wrong?" Pietro asks.

Summer shakes her head. "No Mr. Polendina. I'm actually looking into someone else. His name is William Afton. I believe you know who I'm referring too?"

Pietro nods frowning deeper. "Yes I do. He was a brilliant man. He comes around from time to time, helping me with my research, and I in turn help him with some of his own."

Summer nods accepting the answer. "Well my teammate and I are looking into him, and wanted some information about him. We were hoping you'd be willing to provide that for us."

"Absolutely." Pietro says. "I'm always willing to help out the Huntman and Huntresses. Though I'd like to ask, is he in some kind of trouble?"

Summer grimaces. "It's... best I don't say. Do you know if he has an relation to a Henry Emily or the new Freddy Fazbear Pizza chain?"

Pietro thinks for a moment. "Yes, I believe he is the owner to Freddy's. Though I don't recall him ever mentioning someone named Henry."
