Chapter 2: Luffy Gone?
(with Ace)
Ace was alone clutching Luffy's straw hat.. as he cried tears.. why did that magma bastard target Luffy!? Why couldn't Luffy move!?
He lost so much... he lost his pops Whitebeard to teach.
Yes. Marco had told Ace that the old man was finished off by Teach and his crew. And that his devil fruit had been taken by Blackbeard. Ace vowed that he will avenge his pops... he just needs to figure out how to counter Teach's dark dark fruit since it negates devil fruit users. Meaning he will have to rely on Haki which is a logical choice.
Then he lost his brother Luffy. Who came to marineford just to save him.
Only for him to die at Akainu's hands.
He gazes up at the sky... what about Luffy's crew..? How will they react to know their captain died...?
(With Zoro)
Now on Mihawk's island struggling with those mandrills. Zoro would encounter the Mihawk.
"You... what are you doing here?" Zoro growled
"This is my Island... i take it you haven't heard have you Roronora..." Mihawk states with a calm cold look.
"Heard what?" Zoro asked
"Your Captain Monkey D. Luffy is dead." Mihawk gives him the news. As Zoro widened his eyes in shock at what was just said.
"Wh-What did you just say?!" Zoro asked making sure he heard right.
"Monkey D. Luffy died on marineford." Mihawk told him again
"WH-WHAT?!" Zoro screamed in his mind as a pained expression spread across his face.
(Vegapunk's factory)
Franky could only stare in disbelief and shock... at the newspaper... his captain is dead!?
(Giant bird island)
A certain reindeer doctor gripped the newspaper struggling to not rip it... as he cried tears...
"Lu-Luffy... is Dead!" Chopper cried with tears appearing in his eyes.
(With Robin)
Nico Robin had just been saved by the Revolutionary Army, until they told her the news.
"No... no... tell me your lying! I refuse to believe Luffy is DEAD!" Robin yelled
"I'm not lying Nico Robin." Says the revolutionary soldier who handed her the newspaper to see for herself as she immediately grabbed it and stared into it.
She was trembling when she saw what was in the newspaper...
"No... this is a lie... this is a lie!" She tells herself she always believed in Luffy's strength she refuses to believe he died!
Tears begin to form in her eyes... as she shedded tears..
"No... NOOOOOOOOO!!!!" Robin screamed to the top of her lungs ripping the newspaper in half.
First the world government took away her home... her mother... her friends Saul... and Professor Clover.. now they took away the one person who fought the world for her! And saved her from dying!
Monkey D. Luffy was her savior... he was her only reason to LIVE!
Now she'll never see his smile and carefree attitude! Or his antics! Luffy always made her smile.. and laugh.
Her Sadness and grief.. would suddenly turn to that of Anger... anger at the world government and navy for taking away the one person who given her a reason to live!
(Ivankov's island)
Sanji could only stare with wide eyes... his shitty captain is dead!?
"L-Luffy...!" Sanji yelled in shock at the newspaper
(With Brook)
"Lu-Luffy-san..is dead!?" The skeleton says with shock in his voice gripping the newspaper tightly
(With Ussop)
Ussop would be staring at the newspaper in shock, horror and sadness... his friend... someone he saw as a brother is DEAD!
"Lu-Luffy... no.. no way! It can't be!" Ussop denied seeing this with his own eyes.
(Weather island)
Nami... shook when she saw the news... as she shed tears that her captain is dead...
She couldn't believe Luffy is dead!
"No... not Luffy!" Nami cried tears.
(Baltigo)
Dragon was silently grieving for his son.. staring at the newspaper in utter silence.. his revolutionary soldiers stared at him apologizing for his loss.
"We are sorry about your loss Dragon-sama..." says a revolutionary soldier
"I can't believe it.. Straw Hat Luffy was killed.." says another
A blonde haired man paused in his footsteps as he heard that name... as he grabbed a newspaper and looked right into it.. showing an image of Monkey D. Luffy.
Reading the headline that says: Monkey D. Luffy dies..
The blonde haired man gasped as tears fell from his face.. he was beginning to hyperventilate and tremble. As flashbacks would come to him as a child.
He sees himself with two other boys and one of them had on a straw hat.
He trembled more... crying softly.
"Sabo-kun are you okay?" Says a girl.
More tears fell from Sabo's face as he continued to stare at the newspaper
Dragon looked at Sabo.
Sabo looked up choking on tears as he let out a hysterical scream and cry of agony falling on his knees screaming
"Sabo-kun!" The girl ran to him.
"Lu-LU-LUUUUFFFFYYY!!" Sabo cried in his mind. His brother is DEAD!
And with that Sabo had passed out.
(Back with Ace)
Ace would currently mourn for a bit...
Luffy never even got a chance to achieve his dream.. Ace wanted to make Whitebeard the king...
But now... he will inherit Luffy's dream... he must find the straw hats and become the new captain of the straw hats.
"I'll inherit your dream Luffy. I'm only one still standing.. with Sabo and you both gone... I'll find your crew and reunite them!" Ace declared
(Alabasta)
Vivi was a crying mess when she learned Luffy had died. She hadn't left her bedroom after learning of his death. She hates the world government for taking away her friend.
(Foosha Village)
Makino was sobbing her face in her hands. Crying. When she heard what happened she cried and mourned for Luffy who was like a little brother/son to her.
The mayor of the village would be at her side consoling her. He too was hurting at the loss of luffy.
Pretty much everyone in Foosha village was.
Along with a certain bandit who took it the hardest.
Dadan was very much angry at Garp, angry at him for not helping or doing anything to help Luffy or Ace.
It broke her heart when she learned Luffy had died. And had vowed to beat Garp... for allowing Luffy to die.
(The red galleon)
Shanks's expression darkened... as he stared at the newspaper emotionlessly.
He wasn't in his cheery attitude when he learned of Luffy's death..
He gave his arm up for nothing...
How could this have happened...? Luffy promised him...
Shanks closed his eyes grimly.
As a lone tear fell from his face.
"Luffy..." He said softly..
(Egghead)
"You want me to what ?" Says A man with an apple top for a head. Wearing a scientist coat.
"You heard me. Dr Vegapunk." Says Saturn the elder as he held his cane firmly and snapped his fingers. Marine soldiers would walk in with the body of Monkey D. Luffy in a casket.
"The world government and Navy will need new power. I want you to clone Monkey D. Luffy into your project you've been working on.." Saturn says with Vegapunk looking at the dead body of Monkey D. Luffy.
"If possible... see if you can extract his devil fruit from his body before it vanishes. And when you do send the fruit back to me." The elder says turning to walk away
"I'll be wanting updates on that project as well.." Saturn says walking away leaving Vegapunk alone
who solely gazes at Luffy's dead body...
"Dragon... i hope that you can forgive me for what I'm about to do..." Vegapunk says grimly as he had some robots take luffy's body to his laboratory and operate on it along with taking Luffy's DNA sample.
