Chapter 16 regaining lost memories in the chaos

Mino looks confused at the man, "who are you?"

Kurumi laughed as his light childish nerd voice turned deep to sound like a demon, he removed the bandages exposing his whisker marks, his hair became messy as he took off his glasses to expose his blood red eyes.

"Surprise! Don't expect me to be out of your brother?" Kurama said with a sinful smirk on his face.

Mino froze as she couldn't believe it, "no way, the demon fox!?"

Kurama smirk, as he transforms, his hair grows longer going down his shoulders, Is wearing an Orange and black kimono, an orange fur scarf, a long red cape long tails and fox ears.

"Ironic isn't it? You all thought I was still sealed away in your twin brother? Too bad to disappoint you but I've been free for the last 3 years thanks to what he did!" Kurama said as his tails came flying at Mino.

Mino jumped away but the tails broke the chains, "you owe me one for this Naruto!"

Kurama yelled out, "STAR BALL!" Jumping up under his feet a glowing orange ball with a four point ninja star spinning around it.

Now standing on it, kurama used it, headed directly at mino, kurama smirk as mino summoned more chains but they were blocked by a barrier in front of kurama.

"Nice try mino! But it's not going to be that easy!" Kurama said as he reached her and then punched her right in the face sending her flying.

Kurama flew off, in the direction of Mino was heading.

Naruto's eyes went wide as he started to remember what happened.

Flashback three years ago

Naruto was sitting under a tree crying, "just not fair? Everything I've been trying to do it never works! I'll never be able to get what I want!"

Suddenly a glowing light appeared and it was a silhouette of a woman having a glitchy effect appearance, Naruto couldn't see her face due to the glitchy appearance as it was more like a silhouette.

"You poor thing? I have watched over you all this time, seeing how that builds treated you and all you want is a family to love you?" She asked Naruto.

"Huh? Who are you?" Naruto asks looking scared and confused.

"My name has no importance I am here to help you, so tell me you poorsorrowful boydo you wish to have true power?" She ask.

naruto looked up at her, "huh? what?"

"Do you wish to have true power with a truly happy life?" she asked again.

Naruto looked down and nodded, "yes I don't want to feel this way anymore, I'mtired of being weak, they even took away myability to usechakra, it's been sealed away."

the woman of light pulls out her handgolden Crysta, "then here take this, it's all yours for the taking."

Naruto reached out his hand and touched the crystal, the moment he did it came to his chest and was absorbed.

The woman chuckled, "a wise decision to make, I shall make this even better by taking away the creature that's been cursing you."

The woman reached out her hand and the seal broke, Naruto's eyes rolled back into his head.

Inside of Naruto's mine

The nine tails cage broke along with the seal, the woman hand tried to grab kurama, he looked furious at Naruto, "you traded me for this!?'

Kurama pointed at the crystal that was hovering over both of them, he went to grab it but Naruto flew up and grabbed it as well.

"NO! ITS MINE!" Naruto cried out and the Crystal broke into two.

The one that kurama had, it was absorbed into his body as he was pulled out of Naruto's body.

Naruto snapped back into the real world to see the woman had successfully pulled out kurama but he was now in human form with fox ears and a tail.

Kurama looks at his hands and looks so disgusted, "what is this? You turn me into a human!?"

The woman let go of kurama, "no, you both are now spirits, powerful beings far more powerful than what chakra can offer."

Kurama looks disgusted at his new form, "either way this doesn't change the fact that you decided to do Naruto!"

Naruto looks pale, "wait! what did I do!?"

Kurama looks furious, "you traded me for this! You think you can just discard me like trash all because you found something better! HOW DARE YOU!"

Naruto's eyes went wide as the woman disappeared and kurama yelled out, "STAR BALL!"

Naruto panicked but called upon his own power, "STAR BALL!"

kurama was orange with a light red four pointed ninja star as Naruto was yellow with a six-point gold ninja star.

Both clash.

The combined energy of two spirits going at it with each other cost a spatialquake.

After the explosion

Naruto found himself on the ground and completely naked.

The woman appeared, "good job Naruto, don't worry I got rid of the fox we wouldn't be able to hurt you again."

Naruto was exhausted and tired, what was able to keep his eyes open and look at her, "what did you do to him?"

"I sent him far away so he couldn't attack you, but for now it is best you forget everything, there will be people here that will soon come for you and will become your family, I made sure they will be able to find you, goodbye Naruto, we will meet again," she said before her finger snack and everything went black.

Flashback over

Naruto's eyes widened, he remembered he could only have a small part of that dream but now he remembers it all, "that's how I became a spirit! I accepted her gift!"

Naruto wanted to go after them as there were still questions that were not answered about what happened, but he turned his head back and saw origami and Kotor fighting along with tohka and yashino joining in.

Naruto turned his head back where the two had flown off and looked back at the spirits and origami and shido.

Naruto was struggling with his decision he should make but realized as he looked at all of his friends, they were in danger and needed his help.

Naruto ran up as fast as he could towards both Kotor and shido, with lightning speed he grabbed them both and got them away from origami and got them behind a building.

Kotor was scared as Naruto never saw her afraid before, "it's all right we got you."

Shido was surprised how fast Naruto got them out of the mess but knew origami was going to find them.

"You save us?" Kotor said her voice filled with a mix of surprise, scared and relief.

"Yes I did, because I care about you, I care about both of you, Kotor no matter what happens I will always be here to help you alongside shido because you're important to me," Naruto explained as they heard the cannons fire.

Both new origami were coming and they had to do this quick, "I love you Kotor!" Naruto said as he and shido kiss kotor.

Kotor passed out and Naruto held her close to him as shido went to confront origami, shido turn and look at Naruto, "get her out of here!"

Naruto nodded and ran away as fast as he could using his speed.

Certainly they were teleported back to fraxinus.

Naruto looking surprised as Reina came in and took Kotor, "it's all right Naruto you're safe now and so is Kotor."

Raina took Kotor to the room to give her a checkup to make sure she was all right, Naruto join and sit down next to Kotor to make sure she was fine.

Later

Shido had come, Naruto and everyone else were in the main room, Reina looks sad, "I'm so sorry, if I had known this was going to happen I should have you both seal away kotor Spirit power from the beginning.

Naruto look confused, "but we had to go on a date with her to get her happy level high enough first."

Reina sugar head, "that wasn't even necessary when it came to her," she pointed at the screen and it showed both kotor happiness levels and what she thought of the whole entire date with Naruto and shido.

Both couldn't believe it, shido was completely max out from start to finish, Naruto on the other hand wasn't but they were high enough and they went up slightly at the moment when Naruto said he didn't need fraxinus as well the important moments what Naruto said to her.

"No way!? she really did love us?" Naruto said as faint and fell backwards.

Later

Waking back up, Naruto went to Reina for some questions, he found her small office but she wasn't there but there was a book.

Looking down at it, it was a book about reincarnation and there was a bookmark and it started to explain about the human soul being split into two.

Reina came in, "what are you doing here Naruto?"

Naruto walk over to her, "I honestly need your help, what does Kotor really think of me?"

Reina took a seat, "I know it might be a stupid question with the happiness level being high but she always really did hide how she felt, she acts me but she's really not, why does she pretend to hide it?"

Reina looks away before looking back at Naruto, "that's complicated, some people have self-doubt about themselves, she always believed even before meeting you when it came to her brother she always had this fear of her being weak and scared her brother went want her, so when she pretends to be the way it is she thinks shido wouldn't leave her because she's not a defenseless girl that can't take care of herself, deep down though she's just scared."

Hearing all this it only made Naruto remember things from his past, "you know I actually was there, both me and shido, we overheard you two during the date, and it made me remember some things about my past self, I remember being such a loud mouth act like people what they did to me I didn't care but on the inside I did and I felt very miserable but I didn't want to show it."

Naruto went on explain what he remember when origami arrive along with Mino, "I also remember how I became a spirit but I don't remember that much before it happened, I don't remember me being banished at least not yet, but I now know my memories were taken away by that spirit."

"We are going to find out who the spirit is but I believe this fear could be the same one that shido and kotor met five years ago," Reina said as she began to explain.

Naruto swallowed a lump in his throat, "so it could be possible that me, shido and kotor we're all turn into spirits by the same person?"

Reina shook her head, "I'm not sure, we're still trying to look for this spirit, for right now we call her phantom, until we can learn more about her, things are still going to be a mystery."

Somewhere else

Kurama was holding Mino by the throat in the middle of an alleyway where nobody could see them in the darkness, he came up to her ear and whispered, "listen to me and listen well, I will spare your life if you agree to leave this city and don't come back, I have slaughtered all previous Shinobi who had dare try to come for Naruto, no matter what happens he's not going to come back after what you guys did to him."

Kurama let go of Mino and let her fall to her knees, looking down and smirk, "it's best you stay in your place, you can keep all that chakra of mine I no longer need it now what I have."

Kurama went flying off.

Mino sits there completely afraid of what she witnessed but she knew she had to go back home and tell her parents about this, knowing the fox was out and free with new powers this wasn't good.

Not too far away, a few buildings there was kurumi standing on top of a building with some corpses, "hmmm, at this rate this is not going to be enough."

So tell me guys what you all think about this so far?

There are some important questions I want to answer.

One not every spirit naruto and shido are going to be sharing with, like how yashino and kotor we're.

Although personally I see yashino to be like a little sister to both Naruto and shido, kotor definitely could become one of Naruto's girlfriends but is still going to remain a little sister too shido and nothing romantic.

I know there are parts in the story I cut from season 1 or some scenes.

I will be honest I'm not good at describing fight scenes, especially when it comes with the spirits with their angels and all the names that come with it.

I had only recently come up with the name star ball recently only because I needed to give it a name but it is actually a reference to a kitsune I'll let you guys figure that one out though.

When I first made this I made the first two chapters back in 2021 and all the others recently have been made this past month.

I want to get back into this story and actually completed it ever since season 4 and 5 came out.

There were some changes made from the story idea from when I used to come up with this idea 4 years ago.

However I can't go into details about those cuz those would be spoilers.
