The Tennysons were in the middle of trying to stop Tim Buktu once and for all, after they exposed his acts they started chasing him all over town. Then...
FWOOSH!

"Agh!"
"Up-up-up-up! You're not goin' anywhere."
Ben managed to capture him as Wildvine. He tied him up using one of his vine arms, before ripping it off and growing a new one in place of it. "Urgh! Urgh!" groaned Tim as he tried to break free, but couldn't.
"Your acts have been cancelled!" said Ben, before his friends came. Then, Ben reverted himself back to human form. "You seem a lil' "tied" up at the moment, maybe we can wait 'till the authorities arrive to help ya with that." said Ben, before he and his friends went off in the Rustbucket. -And that included Catherine.
A Few Minutes Later...
WOOO! WOOO! WOOO!
Soon, the police came. When they saw Tim, they stopped near him. Then, they took off the vine arm Ben had used to tie him, put handcuffs on him and took him inside one of the police cars. Then, they went away with him.
A Few Hours Later...
The Tennysons and Catherine were listening to the radio inside the Rustbucket. All of a sudden, a reporter started taking about the supposed "crimes" Ben had committed.
"...is there no end to the one man rampage that is Ben Tennyson?! He's causing destruction everywhere! He is a danger to every citizen in Bellwood and the world! This is Will Harangue, reporting to you live from Channel 5."
"Wh-What?!"
Ben was surprised. Why was he being accused of being a criminal? And hadn't the public and this reporter caught on that he's a hero yet? Something's wrong with this reporter. He definitely has something against him.
"What's wrong with this guy?! Why is he taking this so personally?! And why is he accusing me of being a criminal?!"
"We don't know, but we're about to find out."
After Max said that, he started driving. Then, he started researching about Will Harangue. He's good at multitasking. After a while, Max stopped driving. He managed to get enough information about the nasty reporter. Apparently, Will Harangue likes to make up controversial topics for publicity. He's not a real bad guy, but some of the people didn't like him.
A Few Minutes Later...
Max had managed to find enough data to prove to the public that Will Harangue isn't as good as he seemed. He leaked them online. Soon, people began to find out about these newly-created articles and discovered that Will Harangue wasn't the good guy he made himself out to be. Soon, people were against Will Harangue even more. Rallies were held against him and some of them even trashed his office.
Meanwhile...
Another "superhero" was preparing for an act. His name is Captain Nemesis, but his real name is Carl Nesmith. Just like Tim Buktu, Carl staged his own "heroic" actions. However, they were more extreme compared to Tim's. Not to mention Carl has better equipment, like an orange power suit. Ironically, his nickname fitted more for a villain than a hero.
A Few Minutes Later...
Captain Nemesis' act soon started. He had some of his crew set a building filled with people on fire. Then, he was going to pretend to save them. You'd think Will Harangue would hate Captain Nemesis even more than he hated Ben. But no. The nasty news reporter was actually friends with the fake hero. The fake hero would pay him money to sponsor and support him. As this act was going on, the Tennysons and Catherine saw it. Max stopped the Rustbucket, before he, Ben, Gwen and Catherine came out. "It's hero time!" said Ben, before he slammed on the Omnitrix.
FLASH!
FWOOSH!
Ben turned into XLR8, before he got everyone who was in the burning building out. Will Harangue and Captain Nemesis saw this. They were angry that someone stole their spotlight. Then, the people cheered for Ben after he managed to save the other people who were trapped in the building a while ago.
"What is this?! Someone is interfering with the job of a real hero!"
"Hey, uhh... I think we need to get outta here."
Carl said those words to Will, before he pointed at who was on the scene. When they saw who it was, they snuck away and ran while the camera wasn't pointed at them. Soon, Ben and his friends were finished taking care of the problem. Gwen put out the fire using the Sonoris Bumbargos spell, Max and Catherine had also helped in saving some of the other people along with her helping Ben.
When Ben, his family and Catherine got down from the building, they tried to find Will Harangue and Captain Nemesis only to find that they were both gone. They tried finding them, but they couldn't.
Soon, Will and Carl realized that they needed a better plan than just defaming Ben. So they went to a certain crazy scientist to help them out.
"Welcome Mr. Harangue and Mr. Nesmith. Come in. Come in."
"This place looks like a zoo."
Will and Carl were going to get the help of Dr. Animo, who had a sinister plan. He was going to try and get something with Ben's DNA (like a strand of his hair) so that he could clone him and turn him into an evil copy. "That's an excellent idea! This will surely keep Ben away from the public for good!" said Will, Carl just smirked. "Now, I need you to go and get something with Ben's DNA Carl. Like a piece of his hair or something. Because I've tried to beat Tennyson, but he's just too strong. None of my mutants or inventions are a match for him. But you, you might have a chance." added Animo. "Excellent idea." Carl replied, before he flew off using his rocket boots. "Hahahaha!" laughed Animo as he watched Carl fly away.
A Few Hours Later...
The Tennysons and Catherine were chilling in the Rustbucket, when...
BOOM!
CRASH!
"WHOA!"
Something hit the Rustbucket hard! It caused it to topple over! Ben was able to protect Catherine from hitting herself on things too much since she was the nearest to him. Then, everyone came out. "Wh-What the-" said Max, before he saw the people he, Ben, Gwen and Catherine were looking for.
"It's them! It's them!"
"That's it!" said Ben, before he slammed on the Omnitrix again.
FLASH!
"Ghostfreak!"
Ben turned into Ghostfreak, before he ripped his outer skin off. Inside revealed an even scarier version of the alien, with an upside-down head, crooked, jagged teeth and really long claws. Then, he started flying towards Captain Nemesis.
FLASH!
Captain Nemesis tried firing a huge laser towards Ben. However, Ben went intangible and invisible. Then, Ben went behind Captain Nemesis before trying to knock him out. However, one of Captain Nemesis' devices could detect ectonurites (Ghostfreak's species) like Ghostfreak. So he got out of the way and flipped on top of the Rustbucket. "Ha!" said Captain Nemesis. "Wh-What?!" Ben said confused, how did Captain Nemesis know he was there?
"Soralis Eratanichia!" yelled Gwen, before she blasted huge bolts of electricity towards Carl. Her plan was to short-circuit his suit. However, Carl used his rocket boots to get away from the flashes of lightning. Max then used his blaster's grappling hook to bring Carl down to the ground.
FWOOSH!
BAM!
"Agh!"
While Carl was down, Catherine flew high into the air before swooping down and trying to stab Carl with her sword. However, Carl managed to get out of the way.
FWOOSH!
CHAKK!
FWOOSH!
Catherine tried to catch Carl, but she was unsuccessful. Ben managed to knock Carl down using Ghostfreak's ghost powers. After that, Max tried firing some power net shells. But Carl kicked Catherine off before doing another flip to avoid them. Just then, Ben opened up his chest. Blue energy and striped tentacles came out! The blue energy managed to hit Carl, damaging his suit a bit. But he wasn't down yet. Carl tried to run, but Ben caught him by extending his chest tentacles. However, Carl was soon able to get free by using he heat his suit could generate to burn Ben.
FWWSSS...
"Agh!"
Ben yelled in pain, before he changed forms. This time, he turned into Fourarms. He jumped high, before he smashed Carl into the ground.
FWOOSH!
SMASH!
After Ben smashed Carl into the ground, he started beating him up. Unfortunately, Carl could fight back and used an energy punch against him sending him flying.
"RAAH!"
BAM!
"AAAHHH!"
CRASH!
Ben flee high into the air and ended up crashing into the ground, Catherine then dashed towards Carl fast before stabbing him a few times. This put more cracks in his suit and gave him injuries. "Racta Buoga!" said Gwen, before medium-sized rocks started flying towards Captain Nemesis.
BAM!

BAM!
"Agh!"
THUMP!
The rocks damaged his suit partly and gave him even more injuries. Just then, Max used another power net shell. This time, it managed to capture Nemesis.
BANG!

KZZT!
"AAAHHH!"
The net electrocuted Captain Nemesis. Then, Ben and his friends surrounded him. "Alright, talk! What's your deal?! Why the hell are you trying to defame me?!" shouted Ben. But Captain Nemesis didn't respond. Instead, he used an energy blade to slice through the net before kicking Ben's friends away. Ben tried to do something, but before he could...
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
FLASH!
The Omnitrix timed out, Ben had used so much of its charge a while ago while he was taking care of something with Catherine, Max and Gwen. "Oh man! Not now!" he said. Then...
"HEEYAAH!"
FWOOSH!
SLASH!
"WHOA!"
"Gotcha!"
Suddenly, Captain Nemesis slashed his blade towards Ben. Ben was able to duck, but Captain Nemesis managed to get exactly what Animo suggested him to get. A piece of his hair. With this, he started flying away using his rocket boots again.
FWOOSH!
"Hey! Get back here! What the hell?!"
Before Ben and his friends knew it, Captain Nemesis was gone. Soon, they all tried finding him. But he managed to escape. Why did Captain Nemesis just try to slice his head off with an energy blade from his suit and then fly off like he's surrendering? Something was fishy, possibly even more than whatever aquatic mutants Animo could create.
Soon, Animo began working on his evil clone of Ben. It took a while, but eventually he managed to complete this. Then, when he pulled the machine's lever...
CRUNK!
FLASH!
"Hahahaha! Soon, Tennyson's power will be mine!"
The machine soon began to create the evil clone of Ben. Animo had made a few alterations to him so that he would be suited for his purpose. Then...
FLASH!
Finally, Ben's evil clone was complete. This was one of Animo's "greatest" projects. After the evil clone of Ben awoke, Animo gave him a device he called the "Animerger". After Animo saw the Omnitrix in action, he was inspired to create something similar to it. So he created the Animerger. It looked like the Omnitrix, but was wider and turned people into mutant animal hybrids instead of aliens. Animo didn't really have any weird DNA in his lab, so these were the best he had.
"Soon, we shall take down the brat known as... Ben Tennyson. Ahahahaha!"
A Few Hours Later...
Ben, Gwen, Max and Catherine were relaxing in the Rustbucket again, but they kept on high alert. They didn't know who the hell was going to attack next. Just then...
SMASH!
Something was smashed up outside! When everyone checked what it was, they saw... -Ben?! "Wait... -what?!" Gwen said in surprise, "Wh-Wh-Wh-What?!" Ben said in even more confusion. Just then...
"Ben Tennyson, I am your evil counterpart. And I have come to fulfill my purpose. To defeat you!"
After Evil Ben (that's what I'll call Ben's evil clone from now on) said those words, he twisted the Animerger's dial before slamming on it.
FLASH!
Brown fur grew on Evil Ben, before a thick, brown mane grew around his neck. A tufted tail appeared on his back before he grew sharp teeth and long claws. The Animerger then appeared on his chest.
ROAR!
Evil Ben had transformed into a... -lion?! I suppose animal DNA was the only DNA in the Animerger. Evil Ben then roared, before trying to jump towards Ben. "This must be Animo's work!" said Gwen, before she threw a magic blast at him. "I don't know why, but I feel like Captain Nemesis had something to do with this!" replied Ben before he transformed as well.
FLASH!
"Heatblast!"
Ben turned into Heatblast, before trying to blast fire at Evil Ben. However, Evil Ben managed to dodge before he turned into a peregrine falcon and flew high into the sky.
FLASH!
FWOOSH!
"Get him!" said Ben, before he turned into Stinkfly and flew after Evil Ben. Max, Gwen and Catherine also helped on the chase. Catherine used her wings, while Max started driving the Rustbucket with Gwen in it.
FLAP! FLAP! FLAP! FLAP!
VROOOMMM!
A Few Minutes Later...
Soon, Evil Ben was terrorizing Bellwood using his animal forms. He could use two animal DNAs at the same time as well, so that added to his level of dangerousness.
FLASH!
FWOOSH!
BAM!
"Ow!"
Evil Ben turned into a cheetah and ran fast towards someone before slamming into him at full speed causing him to flip over. Then...
SCREEECCCHHH!
"Alright! This is your stop!" shouted Ben, before he switched to a different alien.
FLASH!
"Fourarms!"
Evil Ben tried dashing towards Ben as well, but Ben smashed the ground causing him to be sent flying. Evil Ben crashed into a wall. Then, he turned into a bald eagle before he flew up again. "He needs to be stopped! He's causing lots of destruction! Even if his forms are only animals!" said Gwen. But then...
"You'll have to worry about us first!"
Three people came into the scene! They were Will Harangue, Captain Nemesis and Dr. Animo! "Wait, what's Animo doing here?!" said Ben. Then, Animo replied "Time for another appointment with the genius that is Dr. Animo!".
With this, Ben switched to Cannonbolt. Then, he curled up into a big ball before rolling towards the three enemies. It was hard to deal with Evil Ben and these three enemies at the same time. "A-Agh!" groaned Catherine as she tried to fight back as best as she could, but there were too many enemies to deal with. Will Harangue was dealing some damage by spreading misinformation about Ben and his friends. This was not going to look good.
Meanwhile, Evil Ben had already destroyed lots of property. He even managed to kill some people using the poisonous and venomous animals in the Animerger. From black mambas komodo dragons.
"They're too powerful! There's three of them! And one of them is spreading misinformation about me!" said Ben, "Maybe I can help." replied Gwen before she spun around and started throwing magic blasts in different directions.
"As you can see, one of Ben's friends is causing destruction! There truly is no end to the menace that is Ben 10!"
Catherine swooped down to try and grab Will. However, Will managed to avoid her and start running. "Come back here!" yelled Catherine as she continued to chase him.
Meanwhile, Max was fighting with Animo again. He was using his blaster, but Animo was putting up quite a fight. He grew tired of constantly being beaten by the Tennysons. Just then...
BAM!
"Agh!"
THUMP!
Max was taken down by Captain Nemesis, Captain Nemesis punched him in the back. Gwen saw what had happened, "-GRANDPA!" she yelled before throwing a huge magic blast towards Carl.
"RAAAHHH!"
BOOM!
"Agh!"
THUMP!
Carl ended up crashing into the road hard, leaving cracks and a hole on it. Meanwhile, Dr. Animo tried finishing Max. Luckily, Catherine appeared out of nowhere and swooped down before punching him and making him fall.
FWOOSH!
BAM!
"Agh!"
THUD!
Some gullible people watching TV actually believed what Will Harangue was saying, but there were some people who knew the truth. Soon, Evil Ben managed to wreck a whole part of Bellwood. Then...
WOOO! WOOO! WOOO!
Soon, the police arrived. One of them was in a black and white unusually-designed Corvette C6. The man who owned this car was named Jonathan, but everyone knew him as Sergeant Cross. Cross and the other cops soon got out of their cars, before they started firing at Captain Nemesis, Dr. Animo and Evil Ben. Unfortunately, ordinary cops wouldn't do much against 3 supervillains. Soon, the cops found themselves running while their cars were being destroyed. Including Cross. "Not again!" Cross said as he saw his car get wrecked and flip over.
Luckily, one of the other cops managed to hit Evil Ben flying as a bald eagle with his pistol. Evil Ben screeched, before he ended up crashing on the road.
BANG!
SQUAAAWWWKKK!
FWOOOSSSHHH!
BAM!
Evil Ben groaned, before the Animerger timed out and reverted him back to normal. Ben saw this and took the chance to turn into another alien.
FLASH!
"Grey Matter!"
Ben turned into a small, gray alien he called "Grey Matter". Grey Matter was small, but for his small size he sure had a big head. His eyes and clothes were blue, and the Omnitrix was located on his back. Ben went over to his evil counterpart, before climbing on his left wrist. Then, he disabled and took apart the Animerger using Grey Matter's intelligence.
CLANK! CLANK! CLANK!
After Ben took apart the Animerger, he looked to the side. He saw that his friends have already managed to defeat Captain Nemesis and Dr. Animo as well. "It's all good now, Ben." said Catherine, before she threw Dr. Animo on the road. "Ungh..." Animo groaned.
Some Time Later...
Soon, Captain Nemesis, Dr. Animo and Evil Ben were gone. Evil Ben was destroyed using Animo's Transmodulator, Ben didn't appreciate that a piece of his hair was used to clone him. And he did find out that Captain Nemesis did indeed have something to do with that. It happened when he almost hit his head with the energy blade from his suit. Meanwhile, Will Harangue was sued for attempting to defame Ben. He was then taken to court for his actions. In the end, he was temporarily suspended from his duty as a news reporter. Ben and his friends thought that he should've been placed behind bars for helping criminals, but since the court didn't find enough proof that he was he received a temporary suspension instead. Sometimes the justice system was so unfair. But that's how it goes sometimes. Not to mention Will Harangue is rich, so he probably bought his way out of his case.
A Few Hours Later...
Ben, Gwen, Max and Catherine were lying in the grass outside the Rustbucket in the woods where they lived in. They decided to relax and get some fresh air after everything that happened. Ben wondered about why some people still think he was a "threat" and why some people just outright hated him, but Gwen told him not to worry about it and just enjoy the rest of the now villain-free day. She was right.
