After Vegeta ordered Goku to exterminate Nashi, the girl finds herself with no way out. Both alone in a room with a balcony. Nashi thinks about jumping, even though she knows Goku will chase her.
Goku: Ready?
Nashi: Do you really think it's fair for me to die like this?
Out of nowhere, someone opens the door. It's Lali. She's wearing a raincoat covering part of her face. With the excuse of cleaning, she opens the door with a master key.
Lali: Oh, I didn't know you were here! My apologies.
Nashi: Lali?
Lali: Miss?
Nashi: Is lunch ready?
Lali: Huh?
Nashi swallows nervously, hoping Lali will understand her. Goku watches everything with confusion.
Nashi: Is lunch ready?
Lali: Not yet, ma'am. The rice is still cooking. It's not ready.
Nashi: When the rice is ready, serve it immediately. Even if I'm not here anymore.
Lali (shocked): Huh? Ah... I understand. Okay!
That conversation wasn't about food. Lali leaves the room and closes the door behind her. She runs out desperately. Meanwhile, Goku steps forward toward Nashi.
Goku: It'll be quick.
Nashi: What if I fight back?
Goku: I'll defeat you easily.
Nashi looks at him. Goku raises his hand in front of her face. A powerful Ki ball forms in the palm of his open hand. Nashi then kneels, waiting for the attack.
Goku: Aren't you going to beg?
Nashi: I have no one left in this world. It doesn't matter.
Goku is surprised but hides it. He tries to launch the attack, but something inside him stops him. A bunch of flashbacks flood his mind. Goku can't attack Nashi.
Goku (whispering): Huh? How can this be? I can't. All because of these memories.
Nashi: Come on! Finish it already!
Goku grabs her face with his hand and realizes he remembers all the help she gave them in the underground prison.
Goku: You took care of me in prison. I remember, you gave me water, food. You took care of us.
Nashi: You remembered?
Goku: Damn. I've grown fond of you.
Nashi cries, and Goku steps back, deep in thought. Vegeta was wrong; Nashi wasn't like the King.
Goku: Vegeta was wrong. Not everything your father did was bad.
Nashi: Are you talking about me?
Goku: Yes. I can't kill you.
Goku looks at his hands in disbelief at the helplessness gratitude for her causes in him. In a moment of sanity, he points to the window.
Goku: Run! Before I regret it!
Nashi: Vegeta will kill you.
Goku: I'll handle him. Go!
At that moment, Vegeta, who had been listening with his arms crossed, back against the door, enters the room calmly.
Vegeta: You'll handle me?
Goku: Vegeta?
Vegeta: You were planning to betray me for this one?
Goku: No. You misunderstood.
Vegeta: Oh, really?
Goku looks at Vegeta, unsure how to explain himself. Chaos had already broken out. Vegeta then points his hand at Nashi, preparing a deadly attack.
Vegeta: Then you won't mind if I end her here.
Goku: Go ahead.
Nashi looks, questioning why Goku is doing this. Vegeta then fires the Ki blast. The room is partially destroyed, and from the dust and smoke, a silhouette forms in front of Nashi. Someone had appeared and blocked the attack from hitting the girl.
Vegeta: Gohan?
A flashback shows Lali waking Gohan to save him from the fire set by the soldiers under Vegeta's orders. Thanks to her father, the leader soldier, she had managed to wake Gohan and save them from the flames.
When Vegeta realizes what happened, it's too late, and Goku appears behind him, applying a chokehold and immobilizing him.
Goku: The antidote! Quickly!
Nashi starts rummaging through the room desperately, searching for vials of antidote. But Gohan had already brought doses with him and quickly administered them to Vegeta, who passed out.
Goku: He'll be fine.
Gohan: Dad, you're next. I'm glad you were able to control your insanity in time.
Goku: It was thanks to the good memories.
Goku offers his arm and receives a dose of the antidote. He leans against the wall and slides down, passing out with his face turned to the side.
Goku and Vegeta are finally treated with high doses of the antidote. They are taken to separate beds and treated as they should have always been.
Gohan: They're responding well to the treatments.
Nashi: Soon they'll be ready to wake up and return to Earth with you.
Gohan: Huh? But I won the fight. Shouldn't I stay?
Nashi: Of course not. My father was killed. All that madness has been canceled. There won't be any wedding, family, or children running through the kingdom. It was all a lie.
Gohan: I'm sorry. Do you want me to stay and help clean up the mess?
Nashi ponders. The kingdom was completely overturned. Disorder and chaos had taken over the population. She would certainly need help to rebuild the kingdom.
