Welcome to the Double-Dealer(Part 1)
Bullet Town
In the mountains, ones in no relation to Mount Paozu, was a small town with a population of 5 thousand or more people. Established many years ago, this town ran every modern road that ran through the rough the rugged dangerous mountains that were filled with dangerous plant life, wild animals and even some deadly strangers waiting among the trees. It was like a small hub for travelers, tourists, and the like. The town itself was full of life; truckers passing through with unknown cargo along with tourists who managed to stumble on the town. Residents of many generations living happily among each other in the rustic town an dold and refurbished buildings. Shops of all kinds. It also had danger.
GUNSHOTS*
"RUN, SHE'S CRAZY!"
"I DIDN'T EVEN SAY ANYTHING BAD!"
Two men run out of what appeared to be an a bar, styled like a saloon although it was far bigger than most bars were. As they ran out the double doors they were met a hailstorm of bullets nearly killed them as they ran. No one could see the gunman but it was clear that these two men were the targets.
RATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATA*
"CAR! CAR! TO THE CAR!" yelled one of them with tears in his eyes.
They ran toward a red hover corvette that was now being riddled with bullets as they jumped in. The Driver; wearing a pair of broken sunglasses, a bloodied nose and messy spikey hair nearly dropped his keys as he put them in the ignition. His friend, wearing a hat that was torn at the top allowing some of his long burnt hair to spill out ducked down in the passenger seat as his friend did his best to start the engine.
"GET US OUTTA HERE! BEFORE SHE KILLS- huh?" the man in the passenger seat took a quick look around at the town, expecting police and panic to ensue, but instead everyone was calm. Children were walking with their parents, some even having ice cream, elderly couples were walking hand in hand, people were eating, at other resturants, shopping, some where driving nearby and even walking in the bar they ran out of.
"What the hell is going on in this town!?" he asked. "Don't they see whats happening?!" he looked and saw a what looked like a sherrif or a deputy; portly, dark-skinned with a gray handlebar mustache with light brown uniform, and a silver sherrif's badge that read Bullet Town in the center of it. The apparent sherrif wasn't responding to the chaos and if anything he was drinking a cup of coffee.
"What the hell! NO ONE'S REACTING!" yelled the Pasenger. The driver tried their best to get the Sherrif's attention. "HEY YOU WITH THE BADGE!:" The presumed Sherrif looks at the two in the car, acting like nothing was happening. "ARE YOU GONNA HELP US!?"
The Sherrif just shrugged, with not a single stray bullet hitting him or anyone or anything else for that matter. In fact no one went to help them or called the police.
"THIS TOWN IS CRAZY!" the driver yelled, "THAT'S IT, WHEN WE GET BACK WE NEED CALL UP THE OTHERS AND WIPE THAT PSYCHO OFF THE MAP!" With a stroke of luck, they they could hear the humm of the engine and the car float above the ground. "YES, GET US OUTTA HERE!"
The driver put the car in gear and drove straight into the main road and away from the bar as fast as he could. They could see the accursed place shrinking in the distance. He didn't care if they ran any red lights, they didn't care if they ran over a dog or even killed anyone. Their main goal was to get as far away from that bar and Bullet Town as soon as possible.
"Is she chasing us?!" asked the driver in a panic. His passenger friend look at the rear-view mirror and saw no one, he then looked behind them and saw no one coming after them. Even more he thought the gunfire had stopped completely.
"No-No, we're in the clear!" he said happily.
"Good, now lets-"
However before even reaching the outside of the town, the driver could see something in the rearview mirror coming their way. He turned around to see his friend flabbergasted and he saw why. The a missile from an RPG was heading their way.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Several Minutes Later
"Now which direction?"
Bonyu slowly walked out of the cave she managed to hide herself in, covered in a very strange looking cloak that covered all of her body aside from her head. She looked up at the sun and wondering how much time had actually passed by Earth's standards.
"It hasn't been long since I was discovered, so its best I hurry along," she put her hand to her chin, "Can't attract too much attention since I won't know who else the Sayains are associated with, like that Yamcha bloke," the small memory of Yamcha made her smirk, but she got back to work. "Now, to get a better look at things," she then put on the hood of her cloak, covering her entire face. Bonyu looked over through the forest and saw a small clearing She walked past the trees and into the clearing to discover a nearby cliff that looked over some of the mountain.
"Nice view, this will do nicely," said Bonyu, she could see much of the mountain from the cliff; some more of the mountain, forest, birds, animals and more She could feel the wind hit her face, it felt cool and relaxing.
"This planet does have some sights, the wildlife might make it entertaining for some buyers. Course that won't matter if I can't complete my mission." she thought. "First I'll try and find more populated areas to get info about the Dragon Balls or even the Sayains,"
Bonyu put her hand to her scouter and turned it on revealing mulitudes of circles that made up the entire forest. Bonyu then made several adjustments to that of the recorded power-level that was recorded in the Freiza force records from when Raditz, Nappa and Vegata first used them on Earth. The countless number of power-levels were filtered down to though not to many.
"That'll have to do, now to find the ones that'll be clustered together," said Bonyu. She scanned the area that she could see, slowly turning right and admiring the view. Then she saw it, a large cluster of, people in one place. "Ahh, just over that mountain, won't be trouble getting there and asking so-" then Bonyu noticed something "OH? Whats this?" she uttered curious. Bonyu saw what seemed to be a black trail of smoke that reached above the trees and for some reason it seemed to be moving in a strange path.
"Something burning, might be something I should investigate or just a waster," said Bonyu. "Guess I can't leave too much to chance and that town will still be there," she jumped down the cliff.
When Bonyu found the source of the smoke she found something she half-expected; it was a ruined vehicle or something that was on fire, going down the road that went through the mountain, and in it were two men who were injured. that seemed to have its entire back blown away by something, it was riddled with holes, and the men inside were much more worse for ware.
"Is this one of transportation vehicles on this planet," Bonyu thought as she watched from the trees as the car passed by. She followed it fairly easily, it wasn't moving very fast."A bit standard compared to most, suppose there's more intelligence on this mudball than I thought, but who bunged it up is the question," The car then stops for a moment, the engine seemingly died. The passenger and driver get livid
"Come on, start! START!" yelled the driver.
"I-I can't believe this, we might get stuck out here, plus almost died and for what?!" yelled the Passenger.
"Stop yelling damn it, its not gonna get us home." said the driver, "Did you call the others?" the passenger nodded.
"Yeah they it'll take them an hour or so for them to get here," said the passenger, "But there's not telling when were this deep in the sticks,"
"Its your fault this happened in the first place, you should've just kept your mouth shut," said the driver in frustration.
"All I said was I hoped they killed that big monkey monster thing!" said the passenger. And it was at that moment that Bonyu's ears perked up. "Besides its not worth shooting us over,"
"Monkey Monster." she smirked and put her hand to her chin. "This may bare some ripe fruit, and no sooner did I pick up another trail,"
"She did go crazy when you said that, I wonder if that other girl died in there, the one that was supposed to be ar- AAHHH!" the driver jumps seeing a cloaked figure, Bonyu, appear on the passenger side of his car. His friend turned and to see her as well, disturbed by not being able to see her face.
"AAAH!"
"Stuff it," said Bonyu. "I need to talk to you lads,"
"Uh- a woman?" asked the driver by the sound of her voice.
"A big one, or wide?" said the passenger. Bonyu folded her arms under her cloak and rolling her eyes.
"Where'd you both come from?" she asked. "And I'm interested to know who or what did this to you, plus I'm looking for some lodging," The two looked at each other and then at Bonyu with agitation clear on their faces.
"Look lady, we almost died and our car is busted," said the driver, leaning against the wheel or what was left of it,"And I don't want to think about that damn town or that crazy bitch that tried to kill us,"
"Yeah, just buzz off fatty!" he pointed off the to forest with his thumb, "We've got enough problems than some freak who won't show their face to us! We don't even know you," said the passenger.
Bonyu inwardly sighed, she then put her hand on the hovercar and walked to the from engine sliding her hand onto it as she did.
"*Clears Throat* "Listen lads, I'm not in a particular mood to be tested or annoyed," she gently gripped her hand onto the hood of the car's engine, "So I'll give you one warning,"
"Warning?"
Bonyu then made a fist and rose her hand into the air, and less than a raindrop's worth of her power.
SMASH*
She swing her hand down, crashing into the car's engine nearly destroying it then and there. The metal bent and warmed from the strike leaving a giant dent. The two idiots looked in shock as this mysterious person was able to do that to something made of strong metal. Then a spark of electricity ran through the vehicle and the engine, or what was left of it exploded creating an even bigger pillar of smoke and fire that would have consumed the car if Bonyu did waive her hand scattering the smoke and extinguishing the fire.
Bonyu then walked over to the driver's side and gripped the car door, watching the two men shudder and shake in pure fear on their faces, too afraid to even speak. It was something she had seen and expected in all weaklings she came across, although this was much less messier than need be.
"Weaklings never change, on any planet," she thought " A little bit of force and th e dumb-dumbs talk ,"
"Now about that town and the woman that shot at you, I'd like the name of both of them and an apt description of the latter," said Boynu,
SNAP*
Bonyu tore the driver's side door off of the car with no more trouble than tearing a piece of paper out of a notebook. She then folded it like a piece of paper, and then again and again and again until it was nothing but a ball of metal and junk.
"But if your still miffed about being nearly killed, then I can end your horrid day and finish that woman's job," her tone was more casual. Both men had panicked instantly seeing the result of her strength just roll around in her hands before she dropped it on the road. "Course I'll be very quick about it, so if you want to keep your heads then I'd advise you talk faster than I can kill,"
"W-W-Wh-Wha-Wha-WHA WWAIT! WAIT!"
"DON'T DO IT, DON'T DO IT!"
Both men grabbed each other for comfort, trembling and shaking together.
"Oh, willing to talk now?" she uttered.
"Bu-Bullet Town! the place is called Bullet town!" said the driver "Its up in the mountains, only place around fo-for miles! This is the main road through the mountain that isn't a mess, just follow the opposite way we came and you'll be there!" then his friend spoke up.
"The place we nearly got shot at is bar called Double-Dealer, most famous place in the whole town, its near the center square! Look for the sign with a purple haired girl; she's got one hand with an Ace of Hearts and a plate of food in one hand and Ace of Spades with a gun in the other! But its crazy there, one moment we're trying to get drunk with some blue haired cute serving us drinks,"
"And the next some blonde haired ogre's appeared out nowhere, armed to the teeth, ready to kill us! WE DON'T EVEN KNOW HER NAME!" said the driver.
"All I said what that monster should've been killed!" said the
"THAT TOWN IS CRAZY, THEY DIDN'T EVEN REACT TO ALL THE GUNFIRE! WE EVEN GOT A MISSILE LAUNCHED AT US! IF YOU WANNA DIE THERE GO AHEAD BUT DON'T KILL US!"
"Bullet Town, Double-Dealer, and woman with purple hair on the sign ." thought Bonyu "That's enough for me to go on, although its a shaky lead at best,".
"Cheers lads."she dropped the piece of scrap. "Good luck with your car," Bonyu then walked away but not before giving their car a small kick which somewhow causes the trunk to pop open, broken.
"Any piece of information is good, if this one of the Earthlings that knows about Goku then they might also know about the Dragon Balls too since the Namekians have an association with him and the other Sayains," Bonyu smirked as she walked away, "I might even find a way to locate them myself,"
Bonyu then made use of her speed and quickly vanished. The two men she threatened were just relieved not to see her anymore.
"AHHHH! Why the hell is this happening to us?!" asked the passenger.
"I-" *RRRIIIIIIIINNGG* "Huh?"
The driver's phone began to ring, he immediately answered it.
"Boss?!" the driver's tone was immediately respectful and the passenger braced themselves, "Yeah we're okay, were out in the mountains but we can't make it any further." The call continued with the driver slowly grinning and his eyes lighting up with glee, a positive sign to his friend.
"Right we'll ditch the car and we'll wait here so we can burn that place to the ground,"
"Yes!" said the Passenger.
"Before we do I need to warn you about someone else, a freak in a cloak,"
Bullet Town
"So this is the place," said Bonyu,
Rather than flying or taking the front entrance Bonyu sat a top a buidling looking over the old town. From what Bonyu could tell it mimicked many towns that she had conquered whilst working under Lord Frieza and now as she worked for Lord Cooler. It was the same to her; simple weaklings of all shapes, sizes, colors, age and to her surprise species that strut along without a care in the world. She saw buildings that could be so easily toppled by a mere push that said weaklings decided to call home, shops that sold clothes of the planet's indicative style, vehicles like the one she damaged. She wondered how much of the planet was like this; populated by people whose lives could change by whim of people who could shatter their planet with a waive of their hand.
"Reminds me a little of home, except buildings are smaller though, less desserts, and more trees." Bonyu thought to herself. She looked out into the city, scanning it ever further, "Now, that bar those two nameless idiots spoke of, the Double-Dealer,"
Bonyu continued to looked around from her vantage point for the building of description and in no time she saw it. A bar that looked like an old saloon, there was a neon-sign that read: The Double-Dealer, with the words "Come for Guns, Grub, Girls, Gin, Games, Guns and Glory" And above the sign was a large sign of woman; with an Ace of Hearts and of Spades, food and a gun.
"Ahh there we go," she said Silently. "Now lets meet my new 'informant',"
Bonyu then vanished from the rooftop and reappeared in an alley just a block or so away from the bar. She saw what looked like bullet holes in buildings, street signs and the sidewalk. There seemed to be pieces of scrap they were cleaning up without a car, even replacing some of the signs. Bonyu walked out into the street and started to walk toward the Double-Dealer but then,
"Oh 'scuse me?" said a kind elderly voice.
"Huh?"
Bonyu turned around to see an elderly woman standing beside here. She was shorter thant Bonyu, she had wrinkly skin, a bulbous nose and gray hair style into a bun with a lotus hair pin and a pair of bangs going down her cheeks with small lotus hair pi. She seemed dressed in a small red cheongsam, with small shoes that matched, and in front of her small eyes were a pair of round glasses. She didn't match the, albeit little, description of the barkeep she was looking for.
"Oh what do you want old woman?" Bonyu asked impatiently. "I don't have time for you," the elderly woman then kicked Bonyu, though she couldn't see her shin she was able to hit it. It didn't hurt but Bonyu felt disrespected.
"Who are you callin' old you giant walkin' beed-sheet," said the elderly woman, she quickly dropped her sweet tone of voice for an angry mountain woman "Name's Féngrèn girly, got a name or are you the wandering mountain spirit with no name,"
"You don't need to know my name," said Bonyu, "Now off with you, you shriveled thing." Bonyu was then about to walk away but Féngrèn grabbed her cloak.
"Now hold on you," Bonyu was generally surprised that she was able to stop her, "That garb ya got on is fine if your keep away the bugs in the mountains," she then pointed at what looked like a boutique located further away from the Double-Dealer, "See that place, its called "Devil's Stitch," and its mine,"
"OH got yourself a little shop?" said Bonyu, though she lacked interest.
"Thats right, selling and making clothes for years and since your a stranger in town then you get your first outfit free," Féngrèn started tugging on Bonyu's cloak. "So you can get out of this stuffy thing, feels like it's made outta porcupine spikes it so rough"
"I'll keep that in mind," said Bonyu. However, she had an idea; more information about her lead would be more benificial than just wandering in with nothing. "But can I ask you a question, elder," she used a more respectful tone, something that brought a wry smile to Féngrèn's face.
"OH so now I offer you free clothes you want to act all sweet, even using 'elder' instead of "old lady'," Féngrèn's . "Okay ya got me, whatcha want?" Bonyu pointed at the Double-Dealer.
"What can you tell me about the woman that owns that establishment?" asked Bonyu.
"OH you want to know 'bout the Double-Dealer," she smiled showing her jagged smile, "Best place to drink, been here ever since Hercule defeated Cell all those years ago," said Féngrèn's face.
"I have no idea who either of those people are," Bonyu thought.
"It was just an old saloon before she came; now its filled with good food, strong drinks," Féngrèn grinned, "And hot girls,"
"You don't say," said Bonyu with a bit of interest, "I already got some good sights in already, I could use some more," she remembered Yamcha, "Now about the owners name,"
"Her name's Launch, girl one of the sweetest kindest women on this mountain, a soft gentle face with the blue hair….. sometimes" said Féngrèn. Bonyu raised an eyebrow.
"Sometimes?" she questioned.
"Eh, I let you see that for yourself," said Féngrèn with a shrug, "She's usually telling stories to anyone who'll listen, serving drinks or anything really," Féngrèn then made a finger gun and pointed it at Bonyu. "*Chuckle* But you make her mad or sneeze and she'll send your ass straight to hell,"
"So this Launch has stories," said Bonyu, "Anything about a man with a tail?"
"Oh that, I think she said something about that once or twice," said Féngrèn as she scratched her chin, "I think it was some kid who killed King Piccolo all those years ago, but I'm a little hazy on the details from that."
"Right, best take a gander," said Bonyu with her hands on her hips.
"You do that girly, hey if your lucky you'll get a two treats to to look at," said Féngrèn, blushing. "Launch, and a very handsome man who comes by to see her," she started drooling with hearts in her eyes. "And golly he's a looker; nice face and muscular too, I swear if I was a few years younger I'd just throw myself at him," Bonyu couldn't stop herself from laughing,
"*Chuckles* Nice to know where your mind goes, elder," said Bonyu.
"I'm too old to just be about work anymore."
"I best be going now, thanks," said Bonyu
"Remember now, come by Devil's Stitch when you want some free clothes," said Féngrèn as she walked away, "You enjoy yourself in Bullet Town,"
"Hmm, another earthling it would be a shame to have to kill," Bonyu thought, "Now for this Launch woman."
Double-Dealer
Walking inside Bonyu saw the place had a rustic look to it; it was somewhat big on the inside with a second floor. There were an abundance of tables, round and rectangular for people to sit in, booths by the windows with red cushions, some with people sitting in them. The floor was hardwood, it looked old, but was very clean and matched the walls. Although there were bullet holes in some of the furniture, more signs of a fight. Hanging from the ceiling were lamps that were turned low for the day and a few ceiling fans that were turning. There were some slot machines off to the sides, Bonyu paid them no mind since she didn't have money. Their were two sets stairs up to the second floor that had a wooden hand-rail. the smell of food and booze filled the entire bar and entered her nose like a trap enticing her to stay. She noted a large set of double doors that more than likely led to the back rooms and then there was the bar, or counter with many stools for any willing to sit near the bartender for a drink.
"Hmm, SO this is the Double-Dealer?" Bonyu said as she walked toward the bar, "Not bad, I suppose, but could use a touch more class," she heard the eating, drinking and laughter from the others in the bar "Bit rowdy too,"
She noted the waitresses, some were women as young as their 23 years of age, others were as old as 40 years or older. They were all dressed in uniformed; some dressed in light red tank tops that showed their belly buttons and a name blue spade name-tag over the hearts of their tank-top with a pair of matching red shorts and shoes. The other outfit was a deep blue tank-top with matching shorts and shoes, with a red heart nametag on their chest. Some of them had their own accessorizes; glasses, a bandana over their hair, one of them wore pants instead of shorts, ear rings, gloves and more. Although waitresses seemed to have a particular air around them, something that made Bonyu more wary compared to the customers.
"Hmm, they seem a bit off," she thought, "Might be nothing,"
Bonyu walked further in, heading to the bar in hopes she'd find Launch. She notices the other patrons eating, drinking and partying as she did. Thought the further she made it into the bar the more attention she got. Some didn't just watch Bonyu could hear them
"Whose that?"
"They're wearing a cloak, I can't see their face,"
"Think its another bounty hunter?"
"Oh I hope so, I missed the shootout earlier,"
"Probably a big gun under that cloak,"
"Well if they fight her then it'll be Launch's pretty soon,"
Bonyu stopped walking and turned around to look at the people talking about her. They were shocked, in reality they were whispering all of their comments and didn't expect her to hear them. They shrunk back to their eating and drinking. When Bonyu turned her back they kept their mouths shut but kept watching and waiting for something to happen,
"Squawking Hens, this mudball really isn't no different than any other." Bonyu thought. She walked over to a bar-stool and sat down in it, " Although the gravity is lighter,"
At the bar Bonyu saw a cascade of mugs and classes, bottles of alcohol she didn't know the names of, there was T.V. but it was off at the moment. She saw the taps for beer and other drinks and more. She noted at few Photographs but the glare made them hard to make out. What she didn't see was the Double-Dealer's owner.
"Great, I have to wait for this Launch woman to show herself." Bonyu said. "Well the only problem is that I'm left open, but if I leave I'll lose my chance."
Luckily for Bonyu, she didn't have wait long. Out of the double doors walked a spry kind woman walked out of the double doors letting the noises of the kitchen leak out, and with her was one of the waitresses who seemed to have one of their arms in a sling, and her hair styled in a bun with a butterfly hairpin.
"Thanks boss, I'll head home right away." she said with a pained look. "Sorry for the trouble."
"Hmm?"
Bonyu's interest peaked when she saw this supposed "boss". She noted her big curly blue hair with a red and blue cap, big blue eyes that looked pure and kind beyond what Bonyu had seen before. Instead of being dressed like the waitresses, she wore what looked to be a black shirt with green pants and a brown belt. Over her black shirt she wore a jacket that had a Red heart and a Blue Spade in a circle on the jacket's left side, in the circle red the words "Double-Dealer". And she wore a name-tag that read, "Launch,"
"its her,"
"Its okay Yan, its not your fault," said Launch with a concerned tone that could make the devil cry. "You don't move around too much, and make sure to call for the doctor,"
"I'm fine, its just sprained," said Yan,
"Let the doctor decide that, at let me drive you home," said Launch, "Or get someon-" she looked around for one of her employees and noticed one collecting dirty dishes of a table who wore a bandanna over her red hair, "Tong, can you drive Yen back home for me?"
"Oh come on do I-"
Tong noticed Launch's look, pleading with pure eyes filled with love and hope. There was also a sense of authority coming from her too. Tong saw Launch give a small gesture to Yan, who was clearly in pain.
"*Sigh,Let me get my keys," said Tong. She hurried to the back room while Launch set Yan down on a table. "Now just stay here unti-" Thats when Launch noticed the cloaked stranger sitting at the bar, waiting for their drink for who-knows how long. Tong returned with her keys and noticed Launch looking at the stranger.
"Got my keys, lets go," said Tong. Launch helped Yan off the chair, despite not needing the help. She looked at Bonyu, unable to see her body and with no clue of what this person wanted. So naturally she responds with a smile.
"Oh a new customer," she said happily. "I wonder what their name is, oh maybe they want a drink or something to eat!"
"A bit excitable this one," she looked around, " That's Launch, a cut blue haired woman," Bonyu eyed her up and down" "Very fair description, but where's the blond woman ?" thought Bonyu. Tong looked at the cloaked Bonyu and whispred something before leaving with Yan.
"It might be someone trying to cash in on you," said Tong, "Don't hurt them too much," Launch's smile sunk a little with some nervous laughter.
"*Chuckle* I-I won't," watched Tong take Yan out of the bar, "Call me when you get home Yan!"
"I will !" Yelled Yan as she left with Tong. "OW! Watch the arm!"
"Big baby," said Tong.
When both of her employees were gone Launch quickly walked over to her bar and went behind to counter as fast as she could. Bonyu almost thought she was going to trip going in, instead Launch brought herself in a composed fashion, her hands on her hips, smiling. Launch quickly tipped her hat and said.
"Welcome to the Double-Dealer!" said Launch, "Sorry about that, there was accident in the back, and I needed to help my waitress," Bonyu held up her hand and shook her head.
"I don't mind, luv," said Bonyu. "I just got here so I didn't wait long,"
"Oh, well okay," said Launch/ She got out a notepad and a pen, "What can I get you; food, drinks, oh if you get drunk we have a room you can stay in, but they're used by women only,"
"Nice to know since I am a lady underneath this shoal," said Bonyu, Launch giggled at Bonyu's choice of words, "But I don't want food or drink, I can't pay for-"
"Oh that's no problem," said Launch. She picked up a beer mug, clear and clean and tilted it under the tap, Launch the filled it up with delicious yellow beer. Launch readily placed it on the bar in front of her newest customer. Bonyu watched as the foam of what would be her nearly spill over onto the table, she hear it fizzle as it slowly revealed Launch had filled her mug to the brim. The smell invaded her nose and she couldn't help but take it in.
"*SNIIFFF*" Bonyu's eyes shot open, not expecting the powerful smell, " Wow! Now that's a pint," she thought. However she remembered her mission.
"You can have that pint for free and a burger too!" Launch smiled as bright as the sun ,"Ooh, or I can make you some pot-stickers instead, or maybe even some ramen," Bonyu raised an eyebrow, "A friend of mine gave me his recipe an-" Bonyu held up her hand, revealing her white glove
"I'm not hungry, and your the second person who offered to cook for me," Bonyu pointed out. "I'm not hear for food or drinks, I came to see you,"
It was then that Launch's demeanor changed; the light gently smile that she wore turned downcast into a frown. Her eyes happiness slowly melted away and were replaced with sorrow and sternness. Bonyu had no clue what was about to happen. Then Launch pulled what appeared to be a shotgun out from from under the counter.
"I see, then I know why your here," Launch's tone changed as well, matching her demeanor. Bonyu wasn't afraid but she was wary. She also heard the murmurs of the other customers as they watched it all go down. They waited and watched for anything to happen. In just a few movements, Launch created tension so thick you could cut it with a knife.
"Does she know who I am, that lad must have tipped off more people than I realize." thought Bonyu frustrated. . "Damn, am I going to have to start from square one again?"
Instead of picking up the shotgun and using it on Boyu, Launch instead gently pushed it forward and brought it closer to Bonyu and gently placed her forehead on the bar with her hands down as well.
"I'M SO SORRY!" yelled Launch with regret and sadness. Bonyu's couldn't register what was happening in front of her, the mere shock nearly made her fall over.
DON*
Unfortunately that couldn't be said for the customers who were expecting bullets to fly. They slowly got back in their seats with Bonyu mentally thrown.
"W-What are you-'
"I'm so very sorry that I shot you, or robbed you," Launch then brought her face and hands from the counter and started counting with her fingers as she was crying, "Or made you take your clothes off and run down the desert naked cause you made fun of me, or killed your parents, or killed your grandparents, or hijacked a train, threw grenades at you," She needed to use her second hand, " Robbed a bank and stole all your money, broke your nose with the butt of a gun, set you on fire, broke your di-"
"Okay!" Bonyu quickly put both of her hands up, "Stop! Stop! STOP!" demanded Bonyu. Launch quickly stopped listing her past sins and looked at Bonyu confused. "What are you on about woman, this is the first time we've met,"
"Oh, you mean you're not here for revenge?" asked Launch, "Or the bounty?" Bonyu put on hands back down and pushed the shotgun back to Launch.
"Listen Dumb-Dumb, I don't give a toss about your past sins" said Bonyu. "Although it is an extensive list,"
"That's just the small stuff," said Launch shamefully.
"I'm here because I wanted to know about your stories, the ones about the monkey monster, and maybe a person with a tail," said Bonyu, She then put up her fingers as she listed things off, "I don't want your food, drink or your apologies, just what you know," Launch wiped her tears, a smile returned and she felt happy again
"Oh, sorry I sort of jumped the gun, *Giggle*" said Launch. She put the shotgun away, "Of course I can tell you some stories," she reached for the glass, "Let me just po-"
"AH" Bonyu grabbed the top of her beer mug as Launch had put her hand to the handle, "Although, I'd hate to waste a good pint," Bonyu pulled it closer to herself, "I'll drink while we talk,"
Bonyu then picked up her beer mug, she grabbed the hood of her cloak and gripped it with her other hand to make sure that it wouldn't fall off her head. She put the mug to her lips and drank. When the beer hit her tongue Bonyu's eyes shot open, she immediately swallowed the amount that she had drink with its taste and aroma burned into her mind.
"DAMN! That that's amazing!" said Bonyu, shedding what composure she had. Bonyu then drank the rest of her beer like she had been denied water for months.
GULP* *GULP* *GULP* *GULP* *GULP*
Launch watched happily as Bonyu drunk every last drop of her beer, nearly tiling her self back to so nothing was left, not even the foam. Bonyu then put her glass on the bar counter, having drunken every last drop. The sight of the empty glass filled Launch's heart with nothing but glee.
"*SIGH* Now that was a drink! I was smart not waste it," said Bonyu. Launch smiled at that remark.
Heading into the mountains there were a group of red hover-cars that rode along the winding road. They each seat was filled with a men armed to the teeth with guns and explosives that could level a city block, or flatten a town. As they rode up without slowing down, a man in the car leading the pack noticed two men standing next to a ruined vehicle.
"There they are!"
"BOSS!"
The cars slowed down allowing the two nameless idiots to run up to their boss's car. They saw him, a man who wore a black suit with red buttons and a matching tie. Most of this man's gang were dressed the same as him. His face riddled with scars and, wearing an eye patch. On his lip was a thick bushy mustache that connected to his beard. He had one hand on the steering wheel, showing his assortment of rings while his other hand held a cigarette. He looked sternly at the two members of his gang, the ones who got stranded.
"Bullet, we-"
"Shut up," Bullet spoke with authority, "Wheres this town with the yellow haired woman?"
"D-Down the road, just keep going and you'll get there,"
Bullet smiled and pulled out a wanted poster showing Launch with a gun offer 750000 zeni for her capture.
"SO she looked like this, right?" asked Bullet. They were speechless, meanwhile the other members of this gang were all smiling,
"Hope in boys, we're making a quick buck!"
Unbeknownst to them, something flew high above them, already beating them to their destination.
