*Chapter 37: The Confrontation with Tomura*
Class 1A ascended the final set of stairs, their breaths heavy and hearts racing as they approached the 200th floor of the towering facility. Each previous battle had tested their strength and resolve, leaving them bruised yet unbroken. Together, Izuku and Melissa reached a massive reinforced door, stopping to listen closely as muffled voices breached the barrier.
"Finally, now I have what I've been searching for," came Tomura's confident voice, dripping with satisfaction.
"Shit, we're too late," Melissa muttered, panic creeping into her tone.
"Not if I have anything to say about it," Izuku replied, the determination in his voice unwavering.
With fierce resolve, he channeled 40% of One For All into his right leg, feeling the power surge through him like electricity. With a forceful kick, he shattered the door, sending splinters flying in every direction.
"Stop right there, Tomura!" Izuku shouted, his voice echoing in the cavernous space.
Tomura turned, his eyes narrowing as he laid sight on Izuku and his classmates. A sinister smirk crept across his face, revealing a chilling confidence.
"Well, it seems my underlings couldn't contain you after all. Nevertheless, you've arrived too late to thwart my plans."
In his grip, he held the ominous Quirk Enhancement Device, its ominous glow pulsating like a heartbeat. With a swift snap of his fingers, the atmosphere shifted, and an army of Nomu—grotesque, hulking figures bred for combat—materialized from the shadows, ready to engage in battle.
Yet, Class 1A stood firm, their hearts steeled for the impending conflict. Izuku and Kenshi channeled their enhanced strength into powerful attacks, while Katsuki unleashed a barrage of explosive blasts, illuminating the dimly lit room with bursts of fiery light. Ochako utilized her Quirk to make objects around her weightless, transforming them into makeshift projectiles, while Kirishima steeled himself, his body hardening to shield Mina from an aggressive Nomu's strike.
"Melissa, you need to get to the control room! We'll handle these guys!" Kenshi shouted over the chaos, his voice resolute amidst the fray.
With a determined nod, Melissa sprinted toward her objective as Kenshi prepared for his own special move. He smashed an item block that appeared nearby, causing a dazzle of light to erupt from it. Out of the glowing chaos, he pulled forth a distinctive hat belonging to a legendary fighter: the iconic hat of Jotaro Kujo. Placing it upon his head, Kenshi felt a rush of energy surge through him, and with it, the presence of Star Platinum manifested at his side, ready to join the fray. The battle was far from over.
Melissa made her way to the control room. She managed to shut down the defenses, freeing all of the heroes once more. After the battle, Izuku led the class to the top of the tower. Tomura grabbed the device and put it on. However instead of decaying everything in sight, he had a different quirk. He was creating some kind of giant Kaiju monster out of metal.
"This guy must have multiple quirks!" Kenshi said.
"That's right," Tomura said, "And now it's time for me to bid farewell, and finish you off for good!"
The giant monster threw its fist at the Class. However, before it could reach them, some giant green whips grabbed it.
"Nice going Deku!" Ochako said.
"That wasn't me," Izuku said.
"Look!" Momo said.
She turned everyone's attention to see… Django. He was using his quirk to save the others.
"It's been a minute since I've done some hero work, so now I get to stretch out my bones!"
Kudo had arrived, using his quirk to launch objects at Tomura's creation. Bruce had arrived using Fa Jin. One by one, the past users of One For All, including Nana assembled and prepared to help Class 1A stop Tomura! Tenko and Hana had just arrived.
"Looks like you're outnumbered bub," Hana said.
"Outnumber yes, but not out of options!"
Tomura slammed his hand on the ground, creating more Nomus from the objects around the area, some made of metal, wood, and various other materials.
"Someone's been playing a lot of Minecraft," Kenshi remarked.
"I'll handle this beast," All Might declared.
He lunged toward Tomura, who defended himself by hurling spirals of metal. All Might fought his way through the projectiles. Inko assisted by attracting objects for All Might to land on. Melissa helped out her peers by fighting on the Nomu. One Nomu grabbed her and pulled the helmet off. However it quickly regenerated.
"That's no way to treat a lady!" Melissa said, "Photon cannon! INFINITE!"
She fired a huge energy beam at the Nomu, destroying it. Tomura spotted All Might trying to get to him.
"Why don't you just DIE ALREADY!"
He threw more metal tendrills All Might's way. However, before they could even hit, someone else destroyed them. All Might looked up to see Hisashi. Tomura was shocked.
"You," he said, "You're supposed to be dead!"
"Yes, but as you can see, I am looking quite alive and not bad for 210," Hisashi stated.
Hisashi noticed Alll Might was approaching his limit. He decided right there and then to help out.
"Let me help you with that Toshinori," Hisashi said.
Using a healing quirk, he managed to increase Toshinori's time limit tenfold. He felt like the limit had been raised, and he had more time. Seeing his students fighting and protecting people motivated him to keep going.
"How about we teach this man a lesson," Hisashi asked.
"With pleasure!" All Might said with a smile.
They both smashed their way to the top, destroying anything that came their way. Izuku was in shock, seeing All Might, and All For One working together to take down the villain. Izuku noticed something coming their way. He channeled 100% of OFA into his body and zoomed over to the giant debris, destroying it.
'I just used 100%...' Izuku thought in shock.
David stood at a distance, observing Izuku as he trained with intense focus. The way Izuku moved, filled with determination and an unwavering spirit, suddenly reminded him of All Might during his glory days—strong, confident, and a beacon of hope. A wave of reassurance washed over David; he realized that he need not fret about what would happen when All Might finally hung up his cape.
Across the training ground, All Might approached Izuku, who had just stumbled during an intense sparring session. With a warm smile that contrasted against his formidable physique, All Might extended a hand to help him back on his feet.
"I truly appreciate your eagerness to help, Izuku, but you must understand this is far too reckless," All Might cautioned, his voice tinged with genuine concern. "I wouldn't be able to live with myself if you were to get hurt!"
Izuku, brushing off the dust from his costume while catching his breath, looked up at All Might with earnest eyes. "But… isn't it a hero's duty to lend a hand to those in need?" he replied, his voice filled with a blend of youthful conviction and unwavering belief in heroism.
Hisashi, standing off to the side with a sense of pride swelling in his chest, chimed in, "He's absolutely right. Your son embodies the very essence of what it means to be a hero. That passion and heart? He definitely gets that from you."
All Might's bright smile widened at the compliment, a spark of admiration shining in his eyes as he looked at Izuku.
"Can I count on your continued support?" All Might asked, his tone turning serious yet hopeful.
"You've got it, Dad!" Izuku replied enthusiastically, determination igniting in his voice.
Izuku and All Might channeled OFA around their bodies, prepared to stop Tomura once and for all. Hisashi helped from the sidelines, destroying anything Tomura created in order for Izuku and All Might to push forward.
"You're both fools, and you don't know when to lie down and be crushed!" Tomura said.
He threw more objects, however, Katsuki threw explosions to stop him from hurting his friend.
"You're the one who doesn't know when he's been beaten!" he shouted.
Kenshi summoned the Gunship from Metroid to blow up any objects Tomura created while Shoto used his fire and ice to help out. All of Class 1A were giving assistance to help Izuku and All Might defeat the villain and save the day.
Izuku started running at fast-paced speed and punching anything that got in his way, All Might following suit, amazed by how far his son has come with One For All. They made it to Tomura, and channeled One For All's full power within their fists.
"To overcome the crisis in front of you"
"By giving everything you've got!"
"And save people!"
"No matter the cost!"
"That's what makes…"
"A HERO!"
Tomura used all of his strength to create a giant block, in hopes of crushing the heroes.
"I'll bring down this entire tower!"
"Double Detroit SMASH!" All Might and Izuku said.
Their punch was strong enough to hold the block back and keep the others from getting hurt. Ochako looked up and saw her boyfriend giving it his all to save the day and be a true hero. Soon enough Izuku and All Might punched through the block and made their way to Tomura.
"DEKU!" Ochako shouted.
"Stop him All Might!" Momo, Inko, Jiro and Mina shouted.
"Go Yagi!" Iida, Kirishima and Kaminari said.
"Destroy this guy!" Kenshi, Katsuki, Shoto and Hayate said.
"Let's go!"
"Beyond!"
"PLUS ULTRA!"
They dashed forward and punched Tomura hard. An intense explosion was seen. The dust began to settle and Izuku and All Might were still standing. Tomura however was nowhere to be seen. The power of the Quirk Enhancement Device proved too much for him. The battle was finally over, and the air was thick with the remnants of tension. As the dust began to settle, Melissa sprinted across the battlefield, her heart racing with relief and pride. Izuku stood amidst the chaos, panting but triumphant, and in an instant, Melissa was wrapped around him in a fierce embrace.
"Izuku, you did it!" she exclaimed, her voice a melody of joy. The warmth of the hug radiated between them, a small sanctuary amidst the aftermath of the fight. "You were absolutely incredible out there!"
Izuku managed a sheepish grin, his green hair tousled and damp with sweat. "Thanks," he replied, glancing down at the remnants of her prototype gear, now battered and a little worse for wear. "But I think I may have broken your invention."
Melissa let out a light laugh, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm despite the situation. "It's okay!" she reassured him, gently pulling back to meet his gaze. "As long as you're safe, that's all that matters to me." Her relief was palpable, and she couldn't help but appreciate the bond forged in the heat of battle.
A wave of relief washed over the gathered crowd as they celebrated the victory of their friend over dark forces that threatened their world. All Might, with his broad smile and unmistakable aura of strength, shared a tender glance with Inko, whose eyes sparkled with pride and emotion. They both looked at their son, Izuku, standing tall in the aftermath of his hard-fought battle. The weight of the moment hung in the air, thick with admiration and respect. In that instance, it became crystal clear that Izuku would forever be etched in the annals of history, not just as a hero, but as The Symbol of Hope for generations to come.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the ornate gates, Iwata approached the majestic mansion nestled in the heart of Japan's countryside. The grandeur of the estate was undeniable, with its intricate woodwork and sprawling gardens hinting at the wealth and power of its owner. As he stepped onto the polished marble floor of the lavish foyer, Iwata felt the weight of the moment ahead.
The man he was scheduled to meet turned towards him, his sharp features illuminated by the soft glow of opulent chandeliers.
"Leave us," he ordered, his voice steady and authoritative. He gestured dismissively at the two burly men flanking him. They nodded and exited the room, leaving Iwata alone with him.
The man introduced himself with a slight nod, revealing his identity as Howard Norstein, Kenshi's formidable father. The tension in the air was palpable, as Iwata regarded him with measured intrigue.
"It appears Tomura has ultimately failed in his mission," Iwata remarked, his tone laced with a mix of contempt and curiosity. "It's quite a surprise considering how useful he was."
Howard, however, remained unfazed. A flicker of irritation crossed his face before he composed himself, addressing Iwata with steely resolve. "I trust you didn't come here just to gloat about your subordinates' incompetence."
A sly smile crept onto Iwata's lips, one that hinted at deeper intentions. "Oh, not at all, Howard. I actually came here with a rather enticing proposition for you." His eyes glinted mischievously as he continued, "How would you like the opportunity to have your wife and son back?"
At these words, a slow, calculating smile spread across Howard's face, revealing a glimmer of hope entwined with shrewd ambition. "I'm intrigued," he replied, leaning forward ever so slightly, his interest piqued. "Go on."
