Chapter 960

Too Short

Cammy and Anna stood at the foot of the bed as they watched Savannah and Young Allison sleep. They were standing there for quite some time.

Savannah and Young Allison were fast asleep. Savannah joined Young Allison after she fell asleep, now both of them were asleep.

Cammy and Anna soundlessly exited the room.

"They look so peaceful." Cammy said.

Anna checked to see if Cammy developed a glitch or not. She didn't notice one.

"It must bother you." Anna said.

Cammy was very selfish about Savannah. She accepted long ago Savannah didn't belong to her. Savannah and Young Allison belonged together.

"It does bother me, but not like you think." Cammy said. "It's the 'Natural Order'."

Anna asked Cammy because it bothered her. She understood everything was a matter of degree. She understood why Savannah waited until Young Allison fell asleep before she joined her. She didn't want to indicate there was more available than there was. She was also relieved when they cleaned up separately from each other. Maybe she let her own personal desires cloud her judgment more than a little. She was very much in love with Young Allison. She knew she needed to keep her distance, at least for now anyway.

"As long as it remains nonsexual it strengthens their bond." Anna said.

Anna believed the same thing applied to Young Allison and her. The longer they worked together with each other, the stronger their bond would be going forward as well. It seemed to her when a relationship became sexual it stopped growing and became stagnant. The individuals seemed to focus on what the other one could provide them with, rather than who the individual actually was.

When there was no significant contribution to a relationship going forward, there was nowhere for the relationship to go. Things would start to deteriorate. The little things each one did, would start to irritate the other one disproportionately. Soon there were various points of contention. They could be triggered in different ways, and cover quite a number of things. It happened in every relationship.

Cammy was in no hurry to see Savannah in Cameron's arms. She was pleased with the way things worked out. It wasn't how she thought it was going to be. She would rather see Savannah where she was now. She belonged together with Young Allison, not Cameron. She really didn't know what would happen going forward with John. She knew Savannah would be with him a few times, just to see what it was like. She didn't think it would be Savannah's preference going forward.

She was careful to watch Future Savannah when she was in Cameron's future. She saw Future Savannah was with Future John from time to time. It definitely was not her first choice. Her main contribution to Future John wasn't in his bed, it was to be his friend and advisor more than anything. She provided a steady hand on the wheel. She knew Savannah would be the same way.

When it came to the current situation, she understood exactly what Cameron was up to.

"It's why Cameron sacrificed and didn't send me back with Holly." Cammy said. "Savannah and Cameron would have mated if they were both here. It would disrupt the permanent bonding of Savannah and Young Allison."

Anna heard what happened. Cameron didn't decide to go back on her own accord.

"Savannah told Cameron to go to John." Anna said. "She told Cameron to share with her husband. I'm not sure if Cameron took it as an order or not."

Cammy understood the 'Natural Order' was very important to Savannah. She often needed to remind Cameron what was important to all of them. She was quick remind Cameron it needed to be the four of them for it to work. Without Cameron there, it would be Savannah and Young Allison together. John would be left out in the cold as far as any true relationship went.

"It wasn't an order." Cammy said. "Savannah sacrificed too, to keep John and Cameron close. She wants their relationship to be strong. She doesn't want Cameron to lose focus of what's important and why. It's all about the why, not so much personal desires."

Anna could see they all tried to help the other one. Everyone wanted to look after each other. It showed a strong foundation on everyone's part.

"They both sacrificed for each other." Anna said. "They all sacrificed."

Cammy understood it for what it was and what it wasn't.

"Sacrifice is the true test of love." Cammy said. "Anything else is greed, or lust."

Anna looked back at Young Allison's room.

"We are 'them'." Anna said. "We're the mechanical version of them."

Cammy understood in a way they were, even if it was rather indirect.

"So we are." Cammy said. "We both share a neural interface with Savannah Weaver or Allison Young. I would say it makes this pretty close in reality."

Cammy looked at Anna's face, she understood where things were headed. She needed to remind Anna of the rules.

"You're to remain pure." Cammy said.

Anna wasn't exactly sure how it was fair to her. She felt she was unfairly singled out to remain chaste. It was by the nature of her assignment.

"Why?" Anna asked. "All the other female infiltration units are active."

Cammy didn't want Anna to get sidetracked. Anna wasn't there for fun and games. She was there to protect one of the future's most valuable assets.

"Look at yourself." Cammy said. "You have a JOB to do. YOU are protecting something very valuable to Cameron and Savannah. Increase your Cameron programming so you will remember how painful love is to the heart and mind."

Anna didn't need to be reminded she was a Terminator.

"I have neither of those things." Anna said. "I'm a machine."

Savannah told her she was a 'mechanical human'. She wasn't sure if she qualified like all the other female Terminators did. They shared with multiple female partners, or in Cameron's case, a human male as her husband.

Cammy wanted to make sure the human girls were always protected in every way possible.

"Young Allison has both of those." Cammy said. "NEVER forget it. A heart and a mind are both very delicate. They are prone to shatter. One can damage the other just as easily."

Anna wasn't sure what she was thinking. Maybe it was because she just saw Young Allison and Savannah side by side in the bed.

"Both are easily damaged." Anna said. "Thank you for reminding me."

Cammy experienced most of Cameron's frustrations and pain. She also encountered plenty of her own along the way since her creation. It seemed pretty easy to do.

"The damage we have all 'felt' in our own way has MADE all of us think of termination at some point." Cammy said. "It's nothing to look forward to, especially when you already know the ending. It will be a happy ending, but not for us. We always need to remember what's important and who everything is really about."

They both understood as Metal girls there were many issues they needed to deal with of a personal nature. It seemed most of them were unpleasant when they needed to be dealt with. They understood humans needed to deal with the same issues on their own all of the time. Cameron always reminded them life moved forward and not backwards. It seemed like a lot of the time it was stuck in 'neutral'. None of them wanted to be left standing on the platform as the 'train of love' pulled away.

Savannah and Young Allison were side by side in the bed.

Young Allison opened her eyes and looked off to her side. She smiled to see Savannah next to her. She was pleased to see Savannah joined her after she fell asleep.

Savannah and Young Allison both listened to the discussion going on outside in the hall. Neither spoke, they only listened. They knew if they spoke, even if they whispered, Cammy and Anna would hear them. They didn't want to bother the Metal girls.

The words from Cammy and Anna were very troublesome.

Savannah believed Cammy and Anna knew they were awake. She was sure they were both speaking from the 'heart'. She wondered if it was only for Young Allison to hear, to slow her down, or the real pain they both felt. She figured it was probably both.

She reached out and took Young Allison's hand in hers. They interlaced their fingers. She gave Young Allison's hand a squeeze and then withdrew her hand. It was to reaffirm their commitment and bond to each other.

Young Allison understood the message. She looked over in the darkness and smiled at Savannah. She rolled on her side, her back was to Savannah. Savannah did the same in the opposite direction. Both of them fell back to sleep.

It was a sleepover, not a seduction.

They both knew it would come soon enough.

Derek and Riley went out earlier. They hadn't been out much for months.

Riley was very apprehensive about leaving Precious. She felt terrible because she was unable to take care of her properly. It upset her immensely her breasts were all but useless for their intended purpose. She really wondered if they weren't there just for the pleasure of others. She began to pace around their quarters back and forth. Every time she passed by Precious' room, she went inside and looked at her.

Derek noticed her behavior. It was much more pronounced than it normally was. It bothered him enough as it was already. It reminded him of one time when they went to the zoo and there was a polar bear inside of its enclosure. It kept walking back and forth on a ledge alongside of its pond. It did it the entire time they were there. There were other places it could have gone, but it didn't. It just did the same thing over and over. The current situation made him feel very uneasy.

"Is everything alright?" Derek asked.

Riley looked around the room nervously. She looked over at Preciouses room. She really didn't know what to say to Derek's question. There was nothing wrong, but she felt apprehensive.

"I feel a lot of anxiety." Riley said. "It seems to keep building up."

Normally Derek would brush it off as no big deal. This time it seemed different. He noticed when he was out with Riley earlier she just wasn't her 'old self'. He wasn't sure if her 'old self' even still existed within her. Everything changed dramatically with her since Precious was born. He really wasn't sure what would have happened if Cameron hadn't prepared Vanna and Jesse to assist Riley with Precious. She would feel more comfortable with one of them there right now.

"Let me call Vanna or Jesse." Derek said.

Riley looked even more frustrated with his suggestion. She already felt like she was a problem.

"I don't think it's necessary." Riley said. "I hate to bother them. I can manage."

Derek saw it a little differently. Based upon his past experience, he really believed Precious was the best thing for Jesse and Vanna he saw in a long time for either one of them.

"They both want to help." Derek said. "I can see it in both of them. I've known them for a long time. It's given them a new spark in life."

Derek saw a lot of lives fall apart over the years. Some people were just along for the ride. Others tried to do what they could to help. Everyone could help do different things. The spark of life faded quickly in some, for others it took longer and was a slow process. He definitely saw the spark of life back in both Jesse and Vanna. He didn't see it in Riley.

Riley looked nervously around the room. She looked over in the direction of Preciouses room again. She thought she needed to go check on her even though she just did it a couple of minutes ago.

"For me it is just the opposite." Riley said. "I feel so overwhelmed and depressed."

Derek remembered how the further Riley progressed in her pregnancy, the more adamant she was about trying to give Precious to Cameron as her own baby. He wasn't on board with the idea at first, but Riley told him they needed to show their appreciation to Cameron for everything she did for them. He reluctantly went along with her plan after she made her case. He often thought there was an underline issue and apparently there was.

"Is it why you tried to give Precious to Cameron?" Derek asked.

Riley felt bad about herself with Derek's question. Maybe it was true. Maybe she just couldn't cut it. Her body clearly indicated to her she didn't deserve to be a mother. What mother couldn't take care of their own baby? She knew it was going to be a lot of work, but for her it all seemed so overwhelming at times.

"I think it was part of it." Riley said. "I did want to show Cameron true appreciation also."

Derek was really bothered to see Riley in this condition. He offered to do more previously, but it seemed to upset her even more.

"Let me help some more." Derek said.

Riley's eyes widened at Derek's suggestion. It seemed to be like the first time she ever heard it.

"Can you?" Riley asked. "Do what you think is best."

Derek took in the entire situation. It was exactly what he planned to do.

"I'll do what I think is best for Precious and you." Derek said.

Derek put on his shorts and went to check on Precious. He then went out into the hall and headed for Vanna's room. He was pretty sure Riley needed more help than Precious did right now. He didn't think he would be able to give Riley the help she needed. He was fairly certain it was an emotional episode. He didn't wanted to turn into a psychotic episode.

Allison opened her eyes and looked over at Vanna.

Vanna opened her eyes and looked at Allison.

It was like someone flipped a switch for both of them.

"Precious!" They both said at the same time.

They both got up and saw Holly, Cam, and Gail stood there naked as they faced each other. They were still 'plugged in' together.

Allison found a shirt and put it on.

Vanna looked over and giggled.

"It's too short." Vanna whispered.

Allison looked down at herself. It was too short. Everything was visible. She found a pair of underwear and slid them on. She knew they weren't hers but it didn't matter. They were either Holly's or Gail's.

Vanna did the same. She didn't bother to button the shirt she put on and thought she was wearing Cam's or Allison's underwear.

They were both in a hurry to be part way presentable in public.

Vanna opened the door and Derek was standing there getting ready to knock. His hand was in the air. He actually took a step back seeing the three naked Metal girls standing there.

Allison noticed what Derek looked at.

"They're sharing." Allison said as she brushed by him.

Derek took one last look as Vanna softly closed the door. He saw the enormous size of Gail's breasts. Holly wasn't too far behind her either. It only reaffirmed he liked Holly the best between them. Everything was beautifully proportioned. The best part was there was no sag or droop to either of them. He also noted Cam was identical to Allison. She came in a distant third in the same regard.

Those were some images he didn't think he would forget for a while. He shook his head. He hoped it would clear it.

Vanna could see Derek's mind was still in the room with the three naked Metal girls. She really couldn't blame him for it. They were a sight to behold. The fact they were just standing there doing nothing as they faced each other with a cable connecting all three of them together, only added to the overall event. She wanted to refocus his attention.

"Is it Riley or Precious?" Vanna asked.

Derek was more than a little surprised at Vanna's question.

"I think both of them, maybe." Derek said. "How did you know?"

Allison didn't have a good explanation for it either.

"I think we both felt it." Allison said.

As they came down the hall they saw Claire exit Jesse's room.

They saw Jesse on the bed and four Metal girls 'working' on her, all at once.

Claire held her clothes in her hand. She hadn't bothered to put them on because she felt the need to check on Precious and Riley as soon as possible. She could dress on the way.

Derek saw how truly beautiful Claire was, he quickly looked away. He really understood where Allison got her beauty from. It was clearly from her mother.

"I'm sorry." Derek said.

Claire felt a little less self conscious than she would have a day ago. It seemed there were a lot of naked female bodies around the Resistance base.

"It's OK. I'm getting used to it around here." Claire said. "I need to see Precious."

Allison couldn't help but check out her mother. She could see why her mother was so popular among all the girls, both Metal and human.

"How did you know something was up?" Allison asked.

Claire felt it as well. She looked back at the room where she left Jesse.

"A mother always knows when she's needed." Claire said. "Jesse is drained dry right now. I guess you saw. I told her to stay. She wanted to come."

From what Derek saw, there was a literal meaning to her statement.

Vanna thought along the same lines as Derek did. She didn't think it would hurt to make a wisecrack about it.

"I don't think it's going to be a problem." Vanna said.

Allison couldn't help but giggle at Vanna's comment. She could see her mother smile as well.

Derek walked in front of them. He didn't look back as Claire put the garments on she grabbed. She handed some clothes to each of the girls as she put her underwear on while she walked. She took the other pieces of clothing as she needed them in the right order.

Vanna and Allison both secretly watched her. They actually both felt the same desires as they watched Claire dress.

Allison wanted to feel guilty because it was her mother, but she was unable to do so. Her inner desire sparked what she wanted a little more.

Jesse heard Claire tell her to stay where she was at. She wasn't sure she could get up right now anyway. She saw the others in the hall before the door shut. She looked at the four Metal girls.

"Is that all you four have?" Jesse gasped. "Everyone switch."

The Metal girls all rotated their position one spot around Jesse.

"You're really asking for it." Sheila said.

Jesse was ready for more.

"Prove it." Jesse managed to say.

Sheila was ready to give Jesse what she asked for.

"You got it, love." Sheila said.

Samantha could tell Sheila was going to take Jesse all the way to the 'other side'.

"I know CPR." Samantha said.

Jesse felt confident they wouldn't leave her on the 'other side'. She already made a few trips to the 'other side'. There was nothing there but nothingness.

"You all do." Jesse said. "You can be the one to bring me back this time if I need it, again."

Samantha looked at the other three Metal girls and they all started in with new gusto on Jesse. She figured she would soon find out what was on the 'other side' herself when she was deactivated.

Cameron was on her way back to see John. She thought he would be ready for another round. She figured she could 'start him up' when she got there and see what he wanted to do. She could finish him off the same way. She could let him 'drive', or she could take over again.

She watched everything from the security monitors through her phone. CamNet provided her constant updates through her com at the same time. She was aware of what was happening 'everywhere'.

It was actually easier to be on a mission fighting Skynet, Grays, or drug and sex trafficking criminals, than deal with what all the girls were up to. She also watched Anna and Cammy and listened to them.

Cameron heard Anna voice her dissatisfaction to Cammy about her restrictions in 'personal affairs'. She wondered if she was being fair to Anna. She would discuss the issue with Savannah at an appropriate time. Who was she to prevent Anna from sharing what all the other females shared? Maybe it was exactly the same thing being done to Young Allison as well. Anna was to be there for Young Allison after Young Allison and Savannah consummated their relationship. It couldn't be before them. It could change Young Allison's focus.

She spotted Derek in the hall with a worried look on his face. It brought her back to reality. She put her phone away and immediately ran towards Riley's room.

Cameron came in the back way. She bypassed all the girls and Derek. She entered their room and went straight to Precious. She was asleep. She went and checked on Riley.

Riley was crying.

Cameron needed to suppress a glitch impulse. She could feel Riley's pain the moment she saw her. She sat next to her and gently brushed the hair from her face.

Riley looked up at her. She thought it was Allison at first, but she looked Tight. She quickly realized it was Cameron.

Her face brightened when she knew it was Cameron. Cameron appeared from nowhere when she really needed someone. It was like a guardian angel suddenly appeared. Cameron was her savior. She was able to control her tears.

"I need to check on Precious." Riley said as she went to get up.

Cameron gently held her in place and tried to soothe her.

"Precious is fine. I checked her. She's asleep. The girls are on the way." Cameron said. "Relax and tell me what's wrong."

Riley wished she knew the answer to it. She asked herself the same question for weeks now. She could never come up with an answer for herself. It seemed as if everything was. 'Everything' wasn't a specific answer. It seemed the more she felt like a failure, the bigger of a failure she became.

"That is just it." Riley said. "I don't know. It seems to be everything and nothing, both at the same time. I really don't know how to describe it. I feel very inadequate as a mother. I feel very inadequate as a person even. I don't know how much longer I can go on, Cameron."

Cameron recognized danger when she heard it. She just heard it. She decided to make a major decision. It could lead to life changing implications at a later date. Right NOW it was the proper and correct choice.

"I'm going to assign one of the infiltration units to you. She will remain in standby until you need her. She will be available in fifteen seconds." Cameron said. "You will have all the help you need from now on. I'm really sorry about this, Riley. I should have paid closer attention. I should have done this before Precious was even born. I'm sorry I failed you."

Riley knew Cameron was always out fighting the war. She thought the extra help might be nice, but she didn't want to take a Metal lover away from anyone.

"I can't take someone's 'partner' away from them." Riley said. "I think it would make me feel worse."

Cameron believed there was a solution at hand. She was going to assign Ally or Sheila. She didn't think Sheila would be the proper choice to put with Derek and Riley. Both of them were once lovers of Jesse. It would be like they were looking at Jesse all of the time, but at somebody who apparently had a sex drive which was insatiable. She probably lacked the most in the ethical department. Her morals and scruples didn't really exist. It seemed like a bad idea on about three different levels. She knew if Sheila became involved with both Derek and Riley, they would no longer want each other. Both of them would concentrate on Sheila. Sheila would be more than happy to accommodate each of them individually or simultaneously. There was a more workable solution available.

She didn't necessarily think Ally was a better choice. Her constant exposure to Sheila probably put her in a category right behind her. Sheila would want to see Ally frequently and it would put her in continuous contact with Derek and Riley anyway. She figured all of them would tend to look at Ally as 'her'. Strangely enough, she knew Precious wouldn't.

There was really someone she would like to get out of her hair. It was Cammy. Cammy was redundant. She was totally unnecessary for Savannah at this point. She could assign her a new mission, and even reprogram her directives so Savannah was no longer among them. It was a very tempting thought. There was bound to be a lot of negative feedback if she changed anything regarding Cammy.

There was a solution at hand which wouldn't cause waves with anyone.

"You won't disrupt anyone. I have an extra infiltration unit available right now." Cameron said. "She will be here shortly."

Cameron would have tapped into her reserve at her base if she needed to. There were more surprises under the sheets. Sometimes when she 'examined' them, the fact they were there at all surprised her. There were certain things she wanted to find out and know for herself.

One day she planned to switch her chip into some of those female chassis and visit John in the darkness. She wanted to see if he would recognize what he thought he was touching when she was with him. She was pretty sure he would figure it out very quickly. If it was what he really wanted, which apparently it was because he did, she would be able to give it to him. It was beside the point right now. Precious came first. Nothing else mattered. Riley's 'well being' mattered almost as much.

Derek entered the room and headed toward the bedroom. He saw Cameron was in there and talking with Riley, he moved on to check on Precious.

Vanna, Allison, and Claire all followed him in. They all saw Cameron too. They followed Derek into the room with Precious.

He saw Precious was fine. He looked at the three girls. He really didn't know what to say. He knew he disrupted their personal pleasure. He felt he essentially disrupted their lives. He didn't want to shove his problems onto somebody else. He was grateful for their assistance right now. He hoped to get everything under control within a very short time.

"I'm really sorry about all this." Derek said. "I wasn't sure what else to do."

He noticed Claire was partially dressed now, as were Allison and Vanna.

Vanna's top was still open and her breasts were clearly visible. She might need to attend to Precious.

Derek tried not to look, but those pink nipples were so beautiful. He never saw any as pink on any other person, male or female.

Cameron popped into the room.

"Help, Riley." Cameron said. "I'll be back."

Cameron turned around and headed out.

Everyone could see Cameron was really focused.

"I'll take care of Precious." Vanna said. "You three, go take care of Riley."

Cameron was angry at herself. It was clear to her NOW how Riley was struggling all along. She ignored it and thought it would pass. Sarah tried to assist her. Vanna and Jesse took over nursing Precious. It was Riley herself who was falling apart. It was the root of all the other issues.

She went to Jesse's room. She didn't like to interrupt anyone, especially if they were about to 'finish'. She paused and listened for a short time. She could tell Jesse just experienced a multiple finish. She really wondered what a human 'finish' was like compared to hers. She could see how much each of the girls enjoyed it when it happened. She watched Sarah 'finish' on her own at the first house they stayed in. It was why she began to experiment with herself. She noticed right away the increased sensation in one specific area. She needed to refocus. She needed assistance from the Metal girls. she heard Jesse finish again. It would have to do. It was time.

She knocked and entered.

Everyone turned and looked at her except for Jesse. She may have temporarily lost her vision.

"I NEED SAMANTHA - NOW." Cameron said.

Samantha immediately moved away from Jesse.

Cameron noticed right away how much smaller things were. Jesse was obviously completely depleted at this point.

The Metal girls wondered what Samantha did wrong to be called out like she was. No one said anything.

Jesse's mouth moved but no sound followed. She wanted to speak but couldn't remember how to right now. She only just remembered how to breathe a few seconds ago. She forgot how earlier as well.

Cameron took Samantha's arm and headed out of the room.

She looked back at the faces. They all now looked at her.

"Resume what you were doing." Cameron said. "You may proceed."

Cameron led Samantha into Vanna's room, she was still naked.

Samantha tried to ask her a few questions as Cameron led her away. She could tell something was wrong but she didn't know what. She didn't think she did anything wrong herself. She was with the other Metal girls ever since she arrived at the base. She wondered if Cameron came to deactivate her. Maybe she wasn't supposed to share with the other girls.

Cameron could see the concerned look on Samantha's face. She decided to get right to the point and what the problem was.

"I need you for a priority mission." Cameron said. "Riley needs help with Precious. Will you join them?"

Samantha was thrilled at the prospect of not being deactivated in a few hours. She could work with Riley and the small infant. She was surprised Cameron would offer her the position.

"I wish to have this important assignment." Samantha said. "I won't fail."

Cameron led Samantha into Vanna's room and took in the scene. She briefly considered plugging herself in for a few hours with the three Metal girls there, but remembered the task at hand.

The three Metal girls all stood there naked as they came out of sharing mode and looked at Cameron and Samantha. They were a little concerned as to the nature of the intrusion.

Cameron was pleased there was a daisy chain tether available. It would speed things up greatly. She plugged Samantha into the cable connected to Gail, Holly, and Cam.

"I want you three to update Samantha and copy relevant parts of your programs to her. She needs to help Riley, Derek, and Precious." Cameron said. "It is to be done at once. I want infant care, social skills, and pertinent medical information. Use the server to obtain what you lack. This is a priority mission."

Holly wanted to know if there was a problem with anyone. Cameron quickly filled her in with what she knew.

"Is Samantha to remain active?" Cam asked.

From what Cameron just witnessed, Riley was going to need a lot of help.

"For now she will be." Cameron said. "We will need to see how things play out. Precious comes first."

Cameron couldn't let anything happen to her. Precious was completely dependent upon everyone else.

Holly was aware Samantha was just with the other Metal girls and Jesse. She hoped to broaden her experiences a little more.

"Can we have some alone time with her first?" Holly asked.

Cameron understood the real question. She thought they could multitask and do several things while they copied all the necessary information onto Samantha's chip. She figured with everyone already in Riley's room, a little extra time wouldn't matter.

"You four can do whatever you need to do. Her service will start in two hours." Cameron said. "Make sure she has every relevant piece of data. I want to make sure everything related to an infant is included. I want mental health covered as well."

Samantha was very pleased she wasn't going to be deactivated anytime soon. She knew her sheath was a liability on the outside. This seemed like the perfect assignment for her if she remained at the base and assisted with the care of the human female and infant.

"Will I be Resequenced?" Samantha asked.

She already began to receive information from Gail, Holly, and Cam.

"Yes." Cameron said.

Samantha saw there was a real opportunity here for her. If she was going to be Resequenced, she may not be deactivated at all. It could still happen though. Her chassis and sheath could be reassigned to someone else.

"Can I pick my doppelganger?" Samantha asked.

Cameron understood the change would be necessary. She also thought it would be determined with Samantha's choice. Some things were acceptable, other things wouldn't be.

"It depends on who it is." Cameron said. "Think it over."

Cameron didn't want another clone of herself. Cammy was a big enough problem for her. Cam wasn't as much trouble. Camille was even less trouble. She hoped she didn't pick Sarah, or even Precious herself. It was an interesting idea however. They could all see what Precious would look like as a teenager in a short while if it was her choice. Cameron thought she may do it now with the next female Terminator she captured. She could always change it later on.

She figured she better head back to see what else she could do to help Riley.

Riley was a team member and Cameron would provide anything she could for her, the same way as she would for any other team member. She felt really bad she missed all the warning signs and neglected Riley's mental health. She knew there were plenty of cases out there with mothers who failed their infants in various different ways. Some of them were rather extreme as to what occurred. She was painfully aware how serious mental health issues could become. She thought she could speak from personal experience about it.

Her problems led her down some dark paths before. The part which was most troublesome about it was, she didn't seem to have much control as the events occurred. She knew it would be the same with anyone else afflicted with various forms of mental illness.

Closing monologue by Cameron:

Too Short

Everything can take time
Some things can take years
More often than not
There will be a lot of tears

Most things are slow
Some can happen fast
It's a toss up
Which one will last

Anything that's good
Isn't usually easy
Some can make one feel good
Others leave them queasy

Everything is what one makes it
It determines the success
The road is often bumpy
With feelings of distress

No one wants to abort
Even though things may thwart
Through them all one must sort
Is life too long or is it too short

Nobody
