Huddled over his stacks of papers Katsuki Bakugo irritably rubbed his temples when he realized what time it was. Normally he wouldn't clock out a minute before his shift was over but today was a little different.

Scribbling down his name on the bottom of the report he'd been working on, he wasn't sure whether it was a curse or a blessing when he felt his phone buzz, and he saw the name on the screen. Silencing it, he slid it back in his pocket before it started up again. This went on for a good five minutes before he decided to finally answer it.

"Sorry, got the wrong number."

"Katsuki you little shit! Why did it take you so long to answer a goddamn phone?!"

"Could be because I knew it was you." He cheekily smirked when he heard his mother shouting at his dad.

"See I told you that brat was doing it on purpose!"

"Hey Katsuki!"

"Hey dad." He responded back when he heard his dad in the background. "Kinda busy right now. What do you want?"

"Busy doing what?" Mitsuki asked in an accusatory tone that told him she was calling for a reason he probably wouldn't like.

"Helping an old lady and kid across the street." He could practically picture his mom rolling her eyes by now.

"Seriously? You expect me to believe you have the patience to do that?"

"I'm talking to you, aren't I?"

"Katsuki…"

"Alright fine if you really want to know, I was ringing that stupid bell people ring in front of supermarkets to help raise awareness of people who refuse to take their medication knowing firsthand what it'll do to people you know who don't."

"Oh, you think that's funny?"

"Kinda is."

"Look Katsuki, I'll let that slide because after all I still consider you my son."

"Yay to me."

"But!" She sternly cut in. "I also understand that doing what you do does take a lot of your time and stress."

"How? From all your years working alongside All Might as one of his sidekicks?" He silently chuckled when he heard his mother let out an aggravate groan.

"Wow you're seriously extra shitty today." She acknowledged. "But would you just hold off and listen for once?"

"Fine but you better make it fast, I'm helping a bunch of handicapped people try and get up a ramp."

"Are you done?" Mitsuki asked, placing her hand on her hip while Masaru quickly covered his face with the newspaper he had been reading to hide the smile on his face when she shot him a look.

"For now."

"When are you coming to visit?"

"Not sure yet." He rubbed his hand on top of his spiky hair as he glanced at the clock.

"Why don't you come by today and I'll make you your favorite dinner?"

"Who are you and what have you done with my mom?" He smirked into his phone as he leaned forward. "Whoever it is that's holding a gun to your head say the word Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis."

"How I put up with you I have no idea."

"Trust me…I'm sure you're not the only one thinking that right now." He muttered remembering what had happened with his partner earlier and how much of an ass he made himself out to be yet again. Pinching the bridge of his nose he tried not to let it bother him the way it still did. And hopefully he'll be able to make up for it later. "Alright listen I'll try and swing by later tonight, but right now there's someplace I need to get to."

"Where?"

"To the hospital to teach a group of blind people how to paint." He snapped back. "Look it shouldn't take me long, so I'll let you guys know when I'm on my way."

"Fine." She huffed and was about to hang up until he added.

"You said you were going to make my favorite?"

Smiling Mitsuki placed her hand on her chest. "We'll see you then Katsuki." When she got off the phone, she held the phone a moment longer in her hand with a warm smile before turning to her husband who was now cautiously peeking his head up. "He has that from you."

"Shh quiet!"

"No you be quiet!"

"You guys!" Kirishima whisper shouted at Mina and Kaminari as he cautiously looked around the apartment's hallway.

"With you two shouting, it's any wonder we made it this far." Jirou said as she walked up to them.

"Alright be quiet! Now the hard part will be to check if she's even home." Kaminari whispered as he handed his crutches over to Sero before carefully crouching down and pulling out a poppy pin. Meanwhile Jirou made to walk towards the door to place her earphone jack against it to listen for any nose coming from inside.

"Why does this feel like we're entering and breaking?" Sero nervously asked.

"Because we are." Kirishima said.

"But is it technically breaking and entering if nothing gets broken?" Mina pointed out.

"It's still entering without permissions though." Sero added.

"Who are you? The police?" Mina frowned. "Besides, you knew what you were getting into when you signed up for this."

"No I didn't!" Sero argued. "You told me this was for Uraraka's surprise! Not that we'd be committing a crime!"

"Really? Hmm I guess I left that part out." She dismissively shrugged before returning to watching Jirou and Kaminari.

"I mean…could you imagine if someone happened to walk by and find five public heroes trying to break into an apartment?" Sero nervously grinned before all their eyes widened and began pushing against Kaminaris' back.

"Would you hurry up!"

"Stop pushing! I can't work under pressure!" he snapped back as his own panic began to rise. "You can't rush perfection!"

"It's still clear." Jirou impatiently said looking both left then right. "Denki…"

Sticking his tongue out he focused on getting the front door unlocked until finally he heard a loud CLICK!

"Ha! I got it!" Proudly grinning, it was only short lived when they saw Kenzo in the doorway with his hand on the knob a second before they all fell forward.

"She's not here." His deep voice let them know how annoyed he was as he looked down at them. "I find it hard to believe that you're the same ones I had to fight against."

"Damn it I should've known." Jirou groaned as they slowly began raising themselves up. After working together all this time, her and Kenzo had made it a habit to train her quirk whenever he turned into an animal who she was having a hard time getting a lock on. So, she should've known to expect him out of all people to know how to evade her quirk.

"Anyone could hear all the damn noise you were making, and I could smell your scent from a mile away."

"Wait are you saying I stink?" Mina offensively frowned as he turned his back towards them and walked over to his room.

"Wait we've fought before?" Kaminari and Sero exchanged puzzled looks, they couldn't remember seeing him before other than when they heard this guy was working with Hawks's team since the overgrown beard did a good job in disguising who he was.

"Long story." Kirishima loudly exhaled before there was a loud knock on the door. "That must be the delivery people." Swinging the door wide open he happily grinned when he was met with a scowling Bakugo who already had a few large boxes lined up against the wall in the hall. "Hey anyone order a cranky delivery man?" he asked before turning back. "How much do I owe you?"

"Funny." Bakugo mockingly squinted his eyes as he walked in carrying a large rectangular box. "How about you morons make yourselves useful and bring in the rest."

"Why so muuuuchh?" Kaminari wailed.

"Hey don't blame me. Bakugo was the one who almost wanted to buy the whole dang store." Kirishima nodded his head towards the blond.

"Yeah, why is that again?" Mina asked after placing a box inside. "I thought we were just buying a crib."

"Well…" Kirishima looked back to where Bakugo was still bringing boxes inside. "Bakugo seemed to think that it was necessary…"

"It is. Now come help with this shit." Bakugo grunted as he placed another box inside.

"Ok well how much do we owe you?" Sero asked as he along with everyone else began pulling their wallets out.

"Just hurry and get to putting this shit away!"

"Yeah but-"

"Forget it alright. Let's just…" Aggravatingly running his hand through his hair he made it a point to look away when he felt them all quizzically stare back at him. He just wanted to get everything built and done before she got home. And hopefully forget all the damn questions while he was at it. "Let's just get this done."

"Wow…Bakugo actually doing something nice." Mina hummed before adding. "Are you sure?"

"That I will kill your idiot's ass if you don't get moving? Yes!" The threatening glare he send them seemed to do the trick as they began moving around.

"Are you sure?" Kirishima quietly asked when Bakugo started unpacking some of the larger boxes.

"It's fine."

"Hey Bakubro, what's this?" Kaminari questioningly eyed the small plastic bottle in his hand that was attached to a larger funnel type thing he couldn't quite understand. "What even is this contraption?"

"Oh dear lord." Jirou snorted as she covered her mouth along with Mina. "Denki-"

"Hey! Maybe it's like a hat!" Sero chimed in as he looked down at it right before Kaminari placed it on his head.

"Really? I don't think so."

Slowly inhaling through his nose Bakugo wasn't sure whether he wanted to shout or laugh at how ridiculous the known hero Chargebolt looked right now with a breast pump sitting on his head.

"Dude…" Kirishima embarrassingly shook his head. He remembered being there when the saleswoman had a hard time explaining to him and Bakugo what it actually was.

"Take that shit off. Now!"

"Fine." Kaminari pouted as he began unpacking some of the other boxes. "Hey where should we put these?" He pointed at some neatly stacked blankets.

"We're going to put all of this in the nursery." Bakugo said while he and Kirishima were already on their way bringing in the pieces to the crib.

"The nursery? You mean like for plants or the type for kids?" Kaminari saw Bakugo briefly stop before staring blankly at him.

"You're cute." Jirou fondly smiled at her boyfriend before placing a sweet kiss on Kaminari's cheek as she walked by.

"How your species is not extinct… I have no fuckin idea."

"Come on man." Kirishima chuckled as they walked into the room.

"Well, my girl seems to think I'm cute." Kaminari sheepishly grinned as he rubbed his cheek.

"Yeah well…" Bakugo couldn't help but stop in the doorway as his eyes took in the baby's room. The room was definitely different than the last time they saw it. The room felt comfortable, warm and inviting with the silver white moon hanging up along one of the light blue walls with small little stars littering the ceiling with warm puffy clouds. He could only guess that they'd light up the room when the lights were off the same way they did for him when he was just a small child. He remembered when his parents decided to do that for him and how upset he got when they did that without his permission, mentioning that he thought it was something meant only for babies. But when they offered to get them taken down, he secretly wished they wouldn't since staring up at the ceiling at night surprisingly calmed him and helped him fall asleep faster at night.

Something about that memory just made him more eager to get this all unpacked and build for them.

Checking the clock on the wall again Uraraka desperately continued to mentally count down to the end of the day. To feel exhausted wasn't even a close enough word to describe how her day had gone, not to mention the close call she had today. It was only thanks to Bakugo that she made it on the ground safely. But everything after just continued to pile up to the point where all she wanted was a nice warm bubble bath after picking up her son and heading home.

The sooner she had Kiseki in her arms the sooner she knew she'd be able to relax somewhat.

She had heard that Bakugo took off earlier than expected which had her both feeling grateful that she wouldn't have to face him after his embarrassing outburst but at the same time was curious to find out what lead him to that silly conclusion.

Shaking her head she decided that it was best to put that aside for now and focus on her work instead.

"Wait…" Furrowing his brows Kirishima continued to cluelessly scratch the top of his head when he switched between looking down at the instruction in front of them and the piece he was holding. "Where does this go?"

"Give me that." Bakugo scoffed as he checked the paper sprawled in front of them as they sat cross legged inside the frame of the crib. "It goes over here idiot."

"I knew that!" Kirishima snatched the piece back to put it where it goes.

"You know…despite them taking longer than I thought." Mina grinned as she continued to aim Kirishimas red phone in their direction. "You can't deny that this doesn't look hot."

"Really?" Jirou frowned, not quite understanding why.

"I mean look at them!" Mina pointed a stern finger at both Bakugo and Kirishima as they continued working. "Two hot guys building a baby's crib? That's gotta be like the sexiest yet sweetest thing I've ever seen!"

"I don't know…" Jirou thoughtfully hummed as she looked back over her shoulder where she could still see Kaminari fiddling with trying to build some toys. "I guess, you have a point."

"OK, I'm officially not cut out for this!" Kaminari defeatedly raised his hands before reaching for his crutches and walking over to the two girls.

"It's only three pieces dumbass!"

"Yeah, but I think I'm better off supervising." He answered ignoring Bakugo's mumbled reply. "Um why are you recording?"

"Kirishima asked me to." Mina shrugged not entirely sure herself but didn't mind doing it.

"Then you do realize he could probably hear what you said in the recording." Jirou smirked.

"I know." Mina happily grinned.

"Newsflash alien freak we can hear you either way!" Bakugo shouted back as he turned to see Kirishima flusteredly looked down as he continued working like he hadn't heard anything.

"My bad! Don't mind me just keep working, you're doing great!"

"I fuckin swear…" Bakugo shook his head but frowned when he realized he was missing a piece. He knew it wasn't one of those situations where you started building shit but then ended up missing one of the important pieces that the company happened to forget to add because he made sure to place them all down and double check before building. When he felt movement next to him, he turned to see that same damn black cat judgmentally staring at him before it placed its paw on the metal part, and he slid it over to him.

This was the fifth time he did that, and it was the damn fifth time Bakugo was seriously debating on throwing the damn thing out of the window and checking if cats do land on their feet. "Would you stop that?! I know what the hell I'm doing ok." He glowered at the cat who only tiredly tilted his head as he narrowed his own green eyes at Bakugo. Something about him just made Bakugo wary of letting his guard down-and around a damn cat too!

"You wanna scratch my eyes out, don't you?" Upon the cat rolling his eyes and walking away Bakugo incredulously frowned before turning to Kirishima. "Did that damn cat just roll his goddamn eyes at me?"

"Maybe…. wait you seriously don't know who he is do you?" Kirishima smiled when he saw Bakugos confused expression. But then again, his other two friends also had no idea that it was an ex-villain who seemed to be keeping his eyes on their work.

"Hah?" He blankly stared at him before Kirishima shook his head. "Oi could you two stop fighting long enough to make yourself somewhat useful?!" he barked at both Kaminari and Mina dismissing any previous thoughts about the cat.

"Ever so bossy." Mina pouted as she walked over to the boxes, placing her hands on her hips she gave them a once over. "Alright you heard him Kaminari. Get rid of these empty boxes."

"What why me?!" He angrily shouted. "I'm the one supervising and unavailable at the moment!" he pointed as the crutches.

"Well I'm the Manager. That outdoes a supervisor any day."

"Guys are we seriously discussing this?" Sero frowned.

"It's best to just let them be." Jirou tiredly said next to him.

"How do you figure that?!" Kaminari annoyingly got in Mina's face.

"Hmm?" Bouncing his eyes between both of his friends, Kirishima couldn't help but smile at all the ongoing noise behind them while Bakugo remained focused on building this crib.

"Look…" Frustratingly placing his fingers on his forehead Kaminari took a deep breath to calm himself. "Look I don't wanna get into another hair pulling fight with you!"

"What? You're the hair puller!" Minas raised her voice as the memory of what happened on that fateful first day of school during their third year, had her trying to keep from laughing. "And besides…everyone knows I won."

"Did not!"

"Did too!" Just then they could hear talking down the hall.

"You see what you morons did!" Bakugo frantically began working on the finishing touches as he and Kirishima checked to make sure it was good and sturdy before throwing the mattress inside and began putting the sheet cover and blanket inside. "What are you doing?!"

Freezing Kirishima looked from Bakugos aggravated face and back to the blanket he still held in his hands. "Um making a bed…?"

Rolling his eyes Bakugo sternly pointed at his hands. "You're putting it the wrong way Shitty hair!"

"It's a blanket dude." Kirishima slowly blinked back. "I'm sure Kiseki won't know the difference." Upon Bakugo's twitching eye Kirishima only happily sighed. "Or maybe he does."

After hearing a knock the rest of them eagerly began racing to the door all at once while Kirishima and Bakugo remained standing inside the nursery.

"Don't you fuckers dare open the door yet!" Bakugo shouted as he stopped by the bedroom door only to see Mina trip and fall against one of the boxes before lifting herself up. It wasn't until two more steps that she fell again and began staring at the boxes next to her.

"The freaking disrespect. How the heck did I trip over empty boxes?"

"That's why you morons supposed to clean the damn boxes…" Vigorously shaking his head Bakugo walked back inside the room to make sure everything was in place. "You deal with them."

Frowning Kirishima only had a second to realize something. "Wait, why would Uraraka knock on her own-"

"SURPRISE!" They all shouted only to find both Deku and Todoroki standing there with the latter emotionlessly staring back.

"You're not Ochaco." Mina pouted before turning to the other two still in Kisekis bedroom. "It's not Ochaco."

"Gee what was your first clue." Bakugo sarcastically smirked as he stepped back to admire the work they did on the crib.

Confused, Todoroki carefully leaned towards Deku. "Should I say something?"

"No, I um just think there's been a little misunderstanding." Deku nervously grinned. "Sorry we're late guys, hope we didn't miss much."

"Miss much of what?" Uraraka teasingly smiled from behind, fining it funny when both of her friends briefly shook in surprise whereas Kiseki happily squealed away in his car seat.

"Surprise…?" Mina scrunched her eyes as the other followed suit. "Dang it."

"What is all this?" She asked as she carefully stepped into her apartment to find the place now filled with many empty boxes. There were various things neatly put away such as a child's playing mat, stroller, even a nursing pillow was nestled on the couch.

When she looked up, she could see more things lining the kitchen counter that included bottles, little, tiny spoons and bowls for when her child would start eating other things besides breast milk-was that a breast pump?

When she looked back at Mina and Jirou, Mina was the first to answer. "Well, we wanted it to be a surprise. But Midoriya and Todoroki ruined it."

"Hey!"

"Surprise?" Uraraka was still having a hard time understanding what this was all for. "But…why?"

"Because we're your friends." Mina wrapped her arms around a startled Uraraka who allowed her eyes to bounce from one face to another as they fondly smiled back at her.

"You guys…" Her voice trembled with emotions she no longer could contain before wiping a small tear from her eyes. "Thank you…thank you all so much. You don't know how much this means to me." She sniffed before giving them an appreciative smile. "But this is too much."

She didn't want to sound ungrateful because she really was thankful for all they'd done, but she really didn't need all this and definitely never wanted to feel like a burden to any of them or make them feel like they had to.

Sensing her hesitation Jirou quickly walked over to her and linked her arm with hers. "Hey, it's fine. We know you'd never ask for any of this yourself so consider this a thank you for always being there for us too."

"But-"

"Oh for the love of god just take the damn gift and be done with it."

Hearing that familiar gruff voice had Uraraka as well as everyone else's attention slid to the door of Kiseki's room where Bakugo was already standing with his arms and legs crossed.

The instance her eyes locked onto his she automatically looked away finding her cheeks flush.

"What Bakugo means to say is that we hope you like it." Kirishima answered as she busied herself with removing an inpatient baby from his car seat.

Mina bend down after Uraraka unbuckled him, and picking Kiseki up she began to have a full-on conversation with the infant. "Here, you can leave him with his aunt Mina while you check it out." She offered.

Timidly fidgeting with her hands Uraraka slowly walked up to her son's room just as Bakugo stepped aside to allow her to see for herself. Gasping, she placed her fingertips to her mouth as she looked from the toys almost littering the room, the changing table, and to the closet that was left slightly left a jar. Glancing back over her shoulder she saw him nervously rubbing his head before looking away to see what the others were doing.

Smiling to herself she cautiously walked over to see the closet stacked with wipes, bibs, boxes of diapers in various sizes as well as any other necessities she might need. "This is too much." She whispered while shaking her head and turning to him.

"Oi what's your problem? Just let them do something nice for you and we'll all be happy." At her reluctance he quickly lifted a box up for her to see, it at least gave his hand something to do when she remained eerily silent. "Here, even got you this." He held up what appears to be a baby monitor. "That way it'll help you when you're both sleeping."

"Oh." Now she looked away and towards the small window, finding the thought of Kiseki not sleeping close to her unsettling.

Pressing his lips together, he quietly placed the box back down on the dresser before talking. "Hey listen, about today…I had no right to say what I did." When she still didn't turn, he figured she was probably still mad about it.

"Then why did you?"

Her voice was soothingly calm and had him questioning what he should say until he decided to just go with the truth. "Honesty…I have no clue. Just a long day I guess."

"Yeah." She gave a small smile before looking down. "I guess."

"I just know that if someone asked me about my personal life I'd be pretty pissed."

"Bakugo…" Shaking her head it was the first time that she looked at him after he'd apologized, and the warmth that radiated in her eyes made him unable to look away even if he wanted to. "I could never hate you."

He opened his mouth to say something but found himself speechless, so he just settled for a faint nod. It was almost as if everything she was feeling at the moment bounced off her in waves so strong that it left him feeling it too.

"As for Sora…I'm sure he would appreciate an apology too."

"Forget it. I'm not apologizing to that damn extra." He quickly shook his head silently thanking her for snapping him out of whatever the hell just happened to him. But the way she had been staring at him just… made his heart nervously thump in his chest and he didn't know why.

"So, why'd you apologize to me?"

"It's different with you."

"How so?" she quizzically blinked back at him while he seemed to struggle to find an answer.

"It just is ok." Licking his lips he quickly looked away before continuing. "You're my partner. Hence, we have to work together alright. There's no need to continue the way we were before, remember?"

"I remember." she nodded before another thought crossed her mind, and he seemed to catch onto it.

"How are you doing by the way? With what happened earlier today."

Lightly grazing her fingers against the sleek design of the crib, she gave it some thought. "Still a little shook up…" she admitted. "But nothing I can't handle. I guess it was a pretty stressful and long day for me too."

"More like long week." When he saw her snap her head up in surprise, he knew she understood that he meant what he said before. About how he was aware of how off she'd been lately. "Just make sure your ready next time so it doesn't happen again."

"It won't." she would make sure it wouldn't. "It's pretty." She remarked as she smiled down at the crib.

"Yeah. It's a little more modern than the others they had and once the brats starts to grow, you can convert it to a toddler and regular bed if you want."

Raising her hand to stop him, she took a moment to process this. "Wait, there's other types of cribs?" She was embarrassed to even ask that question and knew that he'd probably found that stupid of her to even ask. But instead, she was stunned to see him secretly smiling at the stupid question. "W-what?" she anxiously asked.

"Nothing Round face."

"I-I just didn't know there were that many."

"You know what? Me neither." He confessed with a genuine smile, which only made him turn to see her now gaping at him.

It had been a long time since she'd seen that expression on his face. Too long. And she still loved it. Loved every second of it and it reminded her of simpler times.

"Ok here we go. Little man's getting a little antsy to have his mommy back." Mina quickly dashed in with a fussy Kiseki who was already turning to his mother.

"Hey you." Uraraka chuckled softly when Kiseki briefly buried his head against the crock of her neck before turning his curiosity eyes to the crib. "Look what we have here."

Bakugo couldn't help but observed the way Kisekis eyes widened the way his mother usually did when he laid eyes on his bed.

"Oh, looks like he wants to try it." Her smile widened when he began kicking his legs to try and get in, which she found amusing since he could barely raise his head without her support.

Once she placed him inside, he began letting his shocked wide eyes look at everything around him as he began trying to raise his tiny legs up in the air.

"I think he likes it." She lightly giggled.

"And you?"

"It'll definitely take some getting used to it." She admitted, wiping another small tear from her eye.

"Good." He simply said before hearing his name being called. As he turned to leave, Deku walked in and let his eyes approvingly look over the room.

"Looks great."

"It does." She said with a faraway look now as she continued to glance down at her child.

"I know that look Uraraka." Deku made sure to watch the way her eyes flickered outside the door. "And don't worry. Everything will be fine. Kacchan's safe and so is Kiseki. And there's no way Kacchan will find out right?"

"I don't know how he would. No one knows who the father is except for you, Kirishima, Shinso, Hawks, Kenzo and me…possibly Toga." Snapping her eyes shut she rather not think about it right now but couldn't stop the nagging feeling of fear eating away at her.

"Don't worry about her." Deku placed a reassuring hand on her holder. "And as for Kacchan…you honestly don't think he can see the resemblance?"

She could hear the same concern in his voice, and it made her feel more anxious than she wanted to admit. Especially with the last few days.

"I don't think he can, and if so, he hasn't said anything." She quietly said. "The more I try to keep him away, the more it just becomes harder when all these same feelings I have only get stronger the more I'm here…around him."

Deku didn't want to argue that Bakugo was a pretty smart and observant guy, and it kept worrying him knowing that there would come a time when Bakugo would ask questions, but he honestly didn't want to worry her more than she already was. And he knew that she was aware of that fact too. "I bet being partner up with him isn't helping."

"It's not. But I just have to deal with it for a couple of more days." She raised her chin hoping those days would come and go sooner rather than later.

After all the boxes were cleared out, Todoroki found himself frowning down at the small boy vigorously kicking away at one of the toys that was on the far end of the crib. "What's he doing?" he asked her.

She noticed that his feet were kicking out like he was fighting with something. "He um…" Rubbing her head she couldn't help but smile when she saw her son continue until the toy finally moved further away. "He likes to kick his legs out like that when he's either excited or doesn't like something."

His frown only deepened when he glanced at the small toy clown that the child seemed to almost knock out of the crib, and Todoroki made a mental note to get him something else. Feeling better that he at least wasn't the only one not fond of clowns.

While Uraraka was busy reading over some of the things in the living room, Bakugo, Sero and Kaminari were in Kiseki's room taking a small break before they were to leave. Glancing down at his phone Bakugo shot his parents a quick message like he said he would before turning to peer down at the crib where he could see the little boy playing with a familiar looking stuff animal.

When the boy met his gaze with an equally curious look Bakugo quickly looked away to see Sero pointing a shaky finger inside the crib. "I think he needs something."

There was no warning, not even a silent alarm as Kiseki began wiggling and let out a small scream. His arms stretched out into tiny little fists before opening and closing again.

"Hey dude I think he wants you to pick him up." Kaminari said.

"Yeah, either that or punch you." Sero snickered but stopped when he heard Kiseki let out another small scream. "Pick him up!"

"You pick him up!" Bakugo bit back while glaring at the two before apprehensively looking down at the boy who had his lips puckered out.

He stood there in uncomfortable silence as he thought about what he should do. When Bakugo's eyes flicked back down at his chubby little face that always reminded him of Uraraka, Kiseki only continued to stare back with what he could only describe as a pitiful yet cute attempt at a scowl.

His hands quivered as he slowly leaned in and carefully picked up the baby from the crib. He began to lightly bounce on his feet when he couldn't think of anything else to do at the moment other than having the small boy still staring at him.

"Dude…"

"I swear if I so much as see a damn flash, I swear I'll make sure that both of you will be out of hero duty for at least a month." He said between grit teeth because the last thing he wanted was to frighten this kid and hear the crying that would surely accompany it.

As Kiseki continued to frown at him after both his friends left, Bakugo was at least thankful he wasn't crying bloody murder by now, so he figured he was doing alright for now.

"You're holding him." Her voice was so soft he barely heard Uraraka as small tears began to gather in her eyes, and she could be seen clutching her chest.

"Shit was I not supposed to?" He began to outwardly panic. Was he not supposed to pick up a baby when it did that?! It always seemed to help with his younger cousins when they wouldn't stop crying. 'Shit!'

"No it's just…" Taking a shaky breath in she saw him carefully place the child back into the crib before giving him the stuffed animal again. "Never thought I'd get the chance to see it, that's all." Glancing down at the now cheerily squealing infant she froze. She found it hard to swallow when her throat suddenly tightened. "Mr. Snuggles…"

"He seems to like it." He chuckled when Kiseki tilted his head and gave them both a lopsided grin as he continued to hug the small penguin.

Everything was still the same as when she left it behind in her bed back in UA…everything down to the small red tie.

"I can't…" shaking her head she was about to take the stuffed animal back when Kiseki frowned and only hugged it tighter as if the boy knew what she was planning.

"Figured you'd want it back after you forget it."

"Forgot it?" There were so many questions running through her head that she had to grip onto the crib to stop them all from overwhelming her. Why did he still have it? How did he manage to get his hand on it? And why oh why did her child feel the need to shoot her those beautiful puppy dog eyes as he clutched the penguin? Didn't he understand much that simple toy meant to her -that cute little traitor?

"I can't…I can't take this."

"Oi what's the big deal." He quizzically frowned not understanding the reason for her sudden mood change. "He likes it."

When Kiseki looked from one to the other, Uraraka couldn't stop the small smile grazing her lips.

"Look if he doesn't end up liking it you can always take it away, right?"

"I guess." She playfully narrowed her eyes at her child who tore his eyes off the penguin long enough to smile up at her, all while waving his hands up and down. "Traitor."

It wasn't look before he found himself parking his motorcycle in front of the familiar house that used to be his home and let himself in. He was of course instantly greeted by his dad after taking off his shoes and following him into the kitchen where he could see his mother cooking before she wiped her hands and wrapped him up in a long overdue hug.

"About time you come visit." She smirked up at him, no longer being the little boy he was she now had to proudly look up at the man he was becoming.

"Told you I'd be here." He settled himself into one of the chairs in the kitchen. "You need a hand since I know how you like to burn shit."

"When have I ever?!" she gaped right before smacking the carrot out of his hand. "You can't wait a few minutes until dinners ready?"

"Hey in my defense I had a long workday."

"Yeah doing what?"

"Busy answering annoying question all day." He settled her with a pointed look which only made her roll her eyes as she turned back to the pot.

"Can't blame a mother for wanting to know what's going on in her favorite son's life."

"Tch, I'm your only son." He scoffed before muttering. "Despite what Shitty hair may think."

"Yeah? Well at least he answers my questions."

"True." Masaru said as he sat himself down next to his son. "Other than hero work you know there's more to life than that."

"What? So I can be as happy as you two?" He chuckled regardless of the fact that he knew his parents really loved each other. He couldn't see the same thing happening to him. "I'm happy with my life thanks. Don't need anything changing."

"Ok so tell me then, who was this person you went crib shopping for?"

There it was. He knew there was a reason for his visit, or at least part of it since he was meaning to for visit anyways since he hadn't. "What about it?"

"Who is she?" Mitsuki began preparing the food in their bowls before placing them in front of them.

"An old friend."

"And?"

"My current partner."

"And?"

"And what?!" he snapped putting his spoon down. "She's just a girl I knew back in school who now just so happens to be my partner for now. That's all."

"Oh." He could literally see his mother deflating right in front of him but at least it gave him the chance to get things straight.

"She's Ochaco Uraraka. Shitty hair and everyone decided to surprise her with getting her son a crib."

"Oh."

"We just finished getting it delivered and built today before I came here.

"Oh."

"Oh? What the hell does that mean?" he wasn't sure whether he particularly liked the way she said it. It could be taken in any number of ways. It could mean that she'd drop it or that there was a little more to it. Either way he didn't like it.

"I just mean oh as in I get it. That's pretty nice of her friends to do." She smiled before raising the spoon to her lips.

"Ochaco Uraraka…why do I know that name?" Masaru mumbled out loud.

"Ooh wasn't she the girl who kicked your ass at the sport festival?!" Mitsuki shouted as if it just occurred to her. "I'm practically her biggest fan!"

"You're my mother you old hag! You're not supposed to- you know what nevermind." He vigorously began digging into his food and couldn't stop the small hum of appreciation that escaped him after not eating his mother's cooking in so long.

"Glad you approve." Mitsuki proudly smiled.

"Whatever." He thought about it for some time before finally asking. "By the way…I wanted to ask you something."

"Oh?"

"Could you stop it with that?!"

"Oh…" Both Mitsuki and Masaru shared an amused look.

"Katsuki you've been working too hard. You need to give yourself some time off." Mitsuki leaned back in her seat as she watched her son ponder how to say what he wanted to. "What is it?"

"Do you still have that box in the attic?"

"Which one?" Mitsuki curiously eyed him and it didn't take her long to realize what her son was meaning to ask but couldn't. "I think so. I could check and let you know."

"Great."

"If you take some time off." She briskly added. "Maybe if you do, you'll finally find-"

"Jesus Christ…" he groaned as his dad placed a hand on his shoulder. "I don't need anything else!"

"What's wrong with finding a girlfriend?" She frustratingly raised her hand. "Has it ever occurred to you that I might eventually want grandkids? I don't want to die grandkidsless!"

"You might die either way as soon as water touches you you old hag!"

"This was supposed to be a happy dinner." Masaru quietly continued eating away as the two continued to argue. So, in a way it really felt like old times.

"Because like I said before, I don't have time for that meaningless shit. I'm perfectly happy the way things are."

"Are you?" Mitsuki asked. "And don't you dare lie to me Katsuki."

"Yes!" he firmly stated. "Has it ever occurred to you that I actually like being by myself?"

"Alright fine I'll drop it."

"Good."

"As long as you take some time for yourself."

Chuckling he walked over to the sink before washing his bowl.

"I'm just saying…either one and I'll be happy." Mitsuki shrugged. "Ooh and if you ever get the chance, bring that baby around so I can see him or her."

"Him." Wiping his hands he leaned back against the sink. "Names Kiseki."

"Oh that's so cute!" Masaru's eyes suddenly lit up.

"Taking care of a child is a lot of responsibility." Mitsuki acknowledge. "Look at you, you were near damn a handful."

"And you're such a peach." He sarcastically squinted his eyes.

"Either way you should bring that kid around one day."

He was about to tell her there was no way he would ever allow her to get her scary claws on that boy, but then found himself agreeing no less. "I guess one day I could ask her. It'll at least be a nice memory before you die."

"Ever the loving son."

"Ooh and I'm really good at calming babies too!" Masaru's smile grew at the thought of hearing the wonderful sounds of a child's laughter in the house again.

"Now about that girlfriend situation-"

"I'm leaving!"

It was already late when he finally made it home. After his shower he collapsed onto his stomach, barely able to keep his eyes open before he lazily flipped onto his back and began making himself ready to call it a night.

Laying in bed like many other nights, Bakugo pulled out his phone setting up his alarm, and scrolling through it, only stopping to stare at the same screen as he did every night. Furrowing his brows he just stared at his phone where a picture he had saved on there was staring back at him. A picture he didn't remember ever taking. A picture of him and Uraraka sitting on what he guessed was a train while another person took their picture. And what confused him more was that in that picture he looked…happy.
