It was a rather quiet night as Uraraka pressed a hand to her mouth to suppress another yawn as the news channel continued to play in the background. She continued to multi-task after coming home, feeding and giving her child a bath before bedtime, which turned out to be more troublesome to get an overly hyped up Kiseki into his little jammies as he made a protest by kicking his little legs.
"Oh, so it's going to be that kind of night huh?" She giggled as she stared down at her son who only let out a cheerful squeal as he smiled back when she playfully rubbed his tummy.
"Tonight, an explosion could be heard in front of one of the police precincts after they arrested a man who attempted to flee while under their custody. " The news report said as she kept a stern expression towards the camera. Uraraka tried to keep one eye on the TV after she successfully managed to zip him up.
"There's been no reports of any casualties as of yet and thanks to some of Japan's up in coming heroes they managed to catch the man before he could escape." The woman said as she began slowly towards Todoroki and Bakugo who were still talking to the police with the latter angrily grinding his teeth as he impatiently continued to tap his finger against his biceps.
The smile that quickly edged its way into her face wasn't something new to Uraraka anytime she heard the names of one of her friends being mentioned on the news.
"I am here now live with heroes Shoto and Dynamight…" The new reporter eagerly smiled when their gazes looked towards the camera. "…hoping that they'd be willing to give us an overview on tonight events."
"Get lost!"
"Sure." Todoroki answered, receiving an even angrier glare from the blond before the reporter began asking her questions.
When she heard her son cooing, Uraraka gently picked him up before placing him against her chest and lightly patting his back as she continued trying to listen in.
"We were just lucky that you both showed up when you did." The woman said.
"I suppose." Todoroki stoically said as he looked straight at the camera. "We're just happy to help."
"Happy?" Bakugo scoffed but his frown only deepened when the woman moved the microphone towards him. "You've got about three seconds to move that crap out of my face."
"I'm sure the fans would love to know more about the two of you." The woman continued talking over him. "Luckily we'll be able to see it all tomorrow during your interviews."
"Yes. We had to move it up a little since some of our colleagues would be otherwise preoccupied." Todoroki replied to which Uraraka was well aware of since she knew that Todoroki himself as well as Deku wouldn't make it otherwise. She knew because she was lucky enough to have Deku as her interview partner instead of doing this alone.
"Well, I for one am looking forward to see what the both of you have to say." The woman said before turning to Bakugo. "Especially Dynamight since we are aware that this will be the first interview you'll be giving ever since you hit the spotlight."
"Yeah, so what?" he mumbled.
"Well as one of the rising heroes I'm sure I'm not the only that's curious to know more about our very own Dynamight." She smiled ignoring the way his eye had already begun to twitch.
Anyone who knew him would've known to back off by that time, but the reporter seemed completely oblivious to his temper, or maybe she knew and was just trying to get something on camera. Frowning in annoyance Uraraka wouldn't be surprised if it was the last.
"The only thing we happen to know is from what your fellow heroes tell us, as well as what might be going on between you and pro hero Urav-"
"Alright let me stop you right there since obviously you don't have the brains to understand when to back the fuck off."
Clearing his throat Todoroki could be seen stepping a little further away from the blond when he saw him snatch the microphone from the womans grasp.
"The only reason why we're here is to do our goddamn jobs and catch a poor excuse of a damn criminal who should've been locked up a long time ago."
"Oh, so you're saying that the police is to blame for tonight?"
"Fuck yeah!" When he heard Todoroki clearing his throat again, he quickly backpaddled. "No!"
"Oh boy." Uraraka breathed out knowing this might not end well.
"I see. And you don't deny your involvement with Uravity? Since it is odd to see-"
"What? Two people eating together?" he frustratingly glared at the woman. "What kind of fucked up friends do you have?" When he heard Todoroki clearing his throat again, he was about to ask him what his problem was until he realized it was actually directed at the woman.
"I believe what Dynamight is trying to say is that dinner between friends is not a crime." Todoroki tone became surprisingly hard.
"Listen I'm going to make one thing clear." Bakugo sternly stared back at the camera. "Whatever the hell I do with my free time or with Round face, Shitty hair or even Deku or…" Reluctantly turning to Todoroki, Bakugo had a hard time getting the words out. "…or Icy hot here is none of your business."
"We are friends." Nodding Todoroki quickly added. "We're best bros."
"What?! No we're not!" Bakugo quickly flipped over to Todoroki who confusingly blinked back at him.
"I thought we were. We said so during our last year-"
"SHUT THAT DAMN MOUTH OF YOURS YOU DAMN ICY HOT BASTARD!" Bakugo angrily shouted as his palms sparked to life right before the news reporter franticly waved for the cameras to stop.
Softly smiling, Uraraka turned to look down at her son who tiredly let his mouth make a small 'O' as he yawned and stretched his arms out. "I guess we've all had a long day." She said before turning to walk to her room.
"Hey mouse."
"Hmm?" Looking over her shoulder she was startled to see Kenzo walk out of his room while wiping his face with a towel. His beard or lack of now since he decided to take this time to shave off the beard he'd grown out during their time away. Was nowhere to be seen. What was left in its wake was a clean-shaven face that she could now recognize from their time fighting before.
"What?" he angrily snapped when he could feel her watching him with an amused expression on her face.
"Finally decided to get rid of it?"
"More like tired of my brother giving me shit about it." He shrugged as he walked over to the door. "Like that damn runt could grow one himself. Probable's jealous or some shit." He lowly chuckled as he began shoving his feet into his shoes.
She didn't say anything but instead heard her phone in her room alert her of a new message she'd received.
"I shouldn't be long just gotta head out to meet Hawks then Riku."
Nodding she was about to turn to go to her room but stopped half way when her eyes flickered over to the TV. "Ok be careful."
"Need me to pick up anything for the kid?"
"No, we should be good. But thank you." She smiled appreciatively.
"You know I could hear that damn heroes voice all the way in my room." Kenzo frowned, referring to Bakugo. "Hopefully that kid of yours won't pick that shit up."
At that Uraraka couldn't help but grin down at her baby as he laid his thick head of hair on her shoulder. "I don't know, but either way I'll love him."
Shrugging, he made to leave but stopped when he remembered something. Before he could even open his mouth to ask, he saw her raise her wrist along with her sons exposing the blue bracelets before he let himself out.
After placing Kiseki down for the night and hearing Kenzo leave, Uraraka barely managed to land on her pillow before her eyes closed after another tiring day. How Bakugo managed to pull double shifts was beyond her. She just hoped he and their friends would continue to stay safe while working.
Lazily turning, she let out another loud yawn before finally picking up her phone and scrolling through all of her notifications.
Deku: We're still on for tomorrow, right?
Deku: For the interview I mean!
She couldn't contain her smile when she thought about one of her best friends probably freaking out by now on how that message may have sounded to anyone else.
Uraraka: Of course just try to relax this time
Deku: And yet sadly I can't make any promises…
Quietly chuckling she turned her head enough to see she hadn't disturbed her son's sleep since the last thing she wanted to do was stay up all night trying to get him back to sleep. After shooting Deku one last message that she would meet him there, she reopened the last massage she'd received the other day from Kirishima.
Affectionately smiling down at her screen she couldn't help the single tear that fell down her cheek and into her pillow as her eyes stayed glued on the small clip Kirishima had sent her when building the crib.
She gave a little giggle when she watched Bakugo work. Glaring at the parts of the crib like they were specifically made just to piss him off. The way his jaw worked as he tried concentrating on putting the thing together, and mumbling some curse words every so often which only made her eyes crinkle with silent laughter. And the way he would momentarily bite his lip before it curled into a triumphant smile.
He was truly beautiful and anytime she would see it, it would make her heart ache, longing for something that could not be.
To anyone else Bakugo's foul language would always surprise them or make them turn the other way, but growing up in the construction business due to her parents made her grow used to that kind of language, tough behavior and hard work. But the way he looked the other day couldn't stop the soft smile that appeared as she thought about the way she watched Kiseki in his arms. Watching him like that with their child was something she never thought would be possible, a memory she would forever hold in her heart.
After it finally finished, she stared down at the message that was attached to the video.
Kirishima: Hey I knew you'd want to have this…even if you say you don't.
Uraraka: Thanks Kirishima
She quickly shot him a message after checking to make sure it wasn't too late. Not a minute later he wrote back.
Kirishima: Anytime and good luck tomorrow.
Tomorrow. With one last glance at the sleeping baby, she decided to call it a night.

"Ok I can do this…I can do this." Deku nervously continued biting his nails as he watched the two pros on stage being bombarded with more questions. It seemed that Bakugo's outburst last night seemed to spark more headlines for the hero that he didn't need.
"Deku you'll do fine." Uraraka tried to reassure him by patting his back with a confident smile. "It's only an interview."
"Only an interview?!" he squeaked back as if what she just said made things worse. Which she didn't know how to be honest. Deku was a well-known name by this point so she still had a hard time understanding how someone that big still managed to get this worked up over a simple interview. "Everyone will see it!" The way his eyes widened as he stared at her made her pivot her head enough to see both Bakugo and Todoroki exiting the stage.
"Well, those two seem fine." She shot the One for All user a friendly smile until she heard Bakugo's last comment as he brushed past them.
"That was a complete waste of time!"
"I thought we did rather well." Todoroki stopped next to them as he watched the blond stomp over to a table full of water and various snacks.
"You bet!" Uraraka cheered on as she pumped her fists in the air, which rewarded her with a faint smile from Todoroki.
"Well maybe next time Kacchan should leave the talking to you…" Deku sheepishly grinned.
"THE HELL DID YOU JUST SAY DEKU?!"
"Nothing! Nothing!" he feverishly shook his head when Bakugo stomped back over with a water in one hand and rice ball in the other. "Great job out there Kacchan!"
"Tch." Tilting his chin upwards, his gaze momentarily stopped at an anxious Uraraka whose attention remained on the stage. "What's with you?"
"Huh?" Turning her head it was clear she hadn't expected him to ask that. "Oh, just a little nervous I guess." Her gaze dropped down to the ground as she felt her heart accelerate, not entirely sure if it was from the upcoming interview or the person standing directly across from her as he took another bite from his Onigiri.
"Hey no sweat, you guys will do great!" Kirishima suddenly walked up to them with Tokoyami both munching on food.
"I concur." Tokoyami replied before turning to look over his shoulder. "Although I don't agree with this…Hawks seems to think it's a good way to get some exposure."
Scoffing Bakugo couldn't help but agree with him. "At least bird brain gets it. Why waste our time being here when we could be out there working right now?!"
"What, don't tell me talking with a room full of people has got you spooked?" Kirishima playfully grinned before Bakugo shot him a threatening glare making the red head nervously gulp.
"Why does that suddenly not make me feel better…?" Deku miserably asked as his shoulder sagged further down.
"Come on Deku we can do this!" Uraraka's head snapped up full of determination when their names were being called next. She dragging a hyperventilating Deku along with her, but stopped right before she realized the many people already sitting in the audience. "Um…." Glancing over her shoulder she could see Kirishima holding an encouraging thumbs up.
The fact that Deku became even more of a nervous wreck right next to her didn't seem to help matters when she felt the sweat on her forehead slowly building up. "I can't do this…"
"WHAT?!" Deku outrageously shrieked, turning to face her like she'd lost it and dragged him down with her. "What happened to everything will be fine-that it's only an interview?!"
"W-well I didn't know it was going to be that many people…" she sheepishly rubbed the back of her head knowing she was far from being a comforting interview partner right now. "I'm sorry Deku."
"Urara-AGH!" Whatever responds was on the tip of his tongue quickly vanished along with the last piece of confidence when he felt her frantically shaking him by the shoulder.
"What are we going to do?! What if we mess up?! What if t-they ask questions I don't know how to answer?!" She alarmingly asked.
"Uraraka…I'm getting a little sick…with you shaking…meeee!" Deku grabbed his mouth, thankful when she finally stopped.
"Ok ok…we'll be fine." She tried to reassure herself as well as Deku who was still a trembling mess. Placing her hand on her chest lightly tapping it, she calmly inhaled before they were being called again and her and an overly stiff Deku made their way to sit down on the two chairs opposite the reporter.
"The hell?" Swallowing down his food Bakugo had to cover his mouth when he felt himself laughing at how painfully uncomfortable the two looked right now.
"Erm…are they ok?" Kirishima confusingly asked as he and Todoroki shared an unsure look.
Scoffing Bakugo began trudging back to the table. He knew they'd do fine and probably would have it easier than he did, especially after the whole stupid fiasco the previous night. She was after all very well liked as well as Deku, which is something that he couldn't disagree with.
So when he remained standing in front of the screen backstage after a while, form ridged and arms folded over his chest the way he usually did, Kirishima curiously walked over to his friend. "How's it going so far?" Wanting to know for himself how their interview was going.
Silently shrugging his shoulders Bakugo felt his phone BUZZING again before he pulled it out seeing that it was his PR again before turning it off and shoving it back in his pockets, allowing himself to continue and watch the interview.
Watching this was like watching paint dry, dull and boring. So he wasn't sure what made him stay there, thinking he just wanted to see how Deku would hold up doing one of these things so he'd have something else to brag about afterwards.
"Having All Might in you're corner as well as being one of your former teachers, I'm sure it had a huge impact on you as well as some of your previous classmates back in UA." The woman mentioned to Deku who was still gripping his knees as he continued shaking.
"Y-yes. All Might has been a great inspiration for all of us. I-If it wasn't for him or any of the great teachers we had, with all their support we wouldn't be here in the first place." When the camera zoomed into his face, Deku could be seen giving an awkward smile which only made Bakugo's lips curl into a smug smile, but stopped when he could see Uraraka shooting Deku an encouraging nod which only made Bakugo roll his eyes.
"We have heard rumors circulating around the internet about a potential love interest between you and the daughter of the famous scientist back in I-Island David Shield. Which she herself now is one of the top researchers and inventors on the Island as well."
"Oh um…" Scratching his head Deku thought about what she said and Uraraka could see the emotional struggle in his eyes. "Melissa and I are really good friends." He began saying, any previous anxiety becoming a faint blur at the moment. "And if anything, we'll always be first and foremost friends. And as for being romantically involved with anyone at the moment…I can't say that hero work has left me with much in the way of…that." His voice held that familiar nervous squeal at the end that made Uraraka fondly smile at him.
Nodding the woman now interestingly turned to Uraraka. "And as for you Uravity I'm sure I'm not the only one happy as well as surprised about your unexpected return. Care to explain the reason for your return to Japan or why the sudden departure?"
Inhaling calmly, she knew eventually this question would come up, it always did. So she was at least glad she had gone over her answer over and over again in her head anytime someone would ask her after she had left Japan to start with. "I can understand why my sudden departure would confuse a lot of people. Especially having just graduated from one of Japan's top Hero schools." She began to say. "Which is one of the reasons I was actually offered to work in Europe by the pro Hero Hawks in the first place." She confidently said. "Together, along with so many other great heroes we were able to do as much good over there as the heroes here. And we'll only continue to be better as we go. I'm just glad to be home."
"Woah." Kirishima hummed approvingly while Bakugo merely frowned at the screen. Not that that wasn't a good answer, but somehow it just seemed more rehearsed than anything. Like there was something more to it that she wasn't being completely honest about.
"Speaking of other heroes…you must've worked with some of Europe's greatest heroes too. Any romantic bells we should be aware of?"
This woman was desperately trying to pry into their personal lives, and this made Uraraka wonder if any of the other guys had to go through the constant dissecting of her personal life too. Was this what Bakugo was referring to before?
"Oh." Mustering up a sweet smile she shared an uneasy look with Deku before she responded. "I did have the honor of working alongside them as friends."
"So, no potential love interest then?" The woman pursed her lips in a sympathetic smile which only made Uraraka agitatedly fidget in her seat. "Being Japan's sweetheart I'm sure you must have quiet the list of suitors lined up."
"Oh I wouldn't necessarily say that…" She nervously began playing with the ends of her hair as a small blush creeped its way onto her cheeks.
"Urara-Uravity is a great hero." Deku quickly added, sensing his friend's unease. "And I'm sure you are right. Anyone with Uravity would be lucky to have her."
"Most certainly." The woman wholeheartedly agreed, allowing her lips to curl into a sly smile. "There are also those out there that would consider you two to be the perfect pair. Any comments on that?"
Raising a questioning brow Kirishima couldn't help but look at his friend from the corner of his eyes. Remembering how during their first year everyone thought she always had a thing for Midoriya including Bakugo, which turned out to be pure admiration.
But right now all the explosive blond did was continue to watch the screen with an eerie calmness that Kirishima could only name a handful of times seeing.
"No!" Deku franticly waved his hands in front of his face while Uraraka feverishly shook her head with an equally flustered expression. "Friends! Friends, that's all! Not that I don't find her pretty much…"
"Is that so?"
Inwardly groaning, Uraraka prayed for Deku to just stop talking during his panic in hopes that it didn't make things worse or that they would surely take this compliment out of context.
"So?" Quirking an eyebrow, the woman's eyes bounced between the two. "Just friends?"
"Yes!" Both shouted a little too loud, which made everyone stare at them in surprise.
"Yes." Uraraka calmly clarified. "Best of friends actually. Without Deku none of us would be here today. I along with everyone here owe him our lives and respect." Uraraka shot him another warm smile before the woman continued.
"Of course." The woman nodded tapping her pen against her cheek. "We did also interview both Shoto and Dynamight earlier on, and the things that were being said were pretty impressive."
That seemed to pique their curiosity as Bakugo tried to take a deep breath in through his nose.
"Speaking of Dynamight…" The woman's eyes briefly flicked between both of them. "Some say that his way of helping people…" She carefully worded. "Might not entirely align with the way other heroes present themselves. Any comment on that?"
"Well Kacchans always been Kacchan." Deku nervously rubbed his head thinking of the many times the both of them got into one altercation or another. "But that doesn't change the fact that he is a great hero." He confidently said. "Without Kacchan helping to pull me back with the rest of our friends when I thought I had no one to turn to…he was there. And although he and I may not see eye to eye sometimes…he's someone I know will always have my back." He lightly chuckled. "Even when he doesn't want to admit it. I'm glad to have had him in my life."
"Aww Midoriya." Kirishima grinned as he playfully wiped and invisible tear from his eye, he could tell that Bakugo hadn't expected him to say that either but quickly masked it with one of his irritated scowls.
"And you Uravity? What do you think of the hero Dynamight?"
"M-me?" she repeatedly opened her mouth, unprepared to be even asked that. What was she supposed to say?! That he was the love of her life? That he was the only man she'd ever been with? That they have a child together? That he is one of the most amazing and caring man she's ever met despite the way he may seem to others? That he was amazing and beyond plus ultra in bed and had magical hands that- 'Oh my gods Ochaco stop!' she quickly stopped her raging thoughts, her eyes grew wide when she lost her sense of speech when the whole audience continued staring at her.
Just when she thought her face couldn't get hotter, she seemed to proof herself wrong after every second of waiting.
"Uravity?" The woman confusingly frowned when the hero slowly turned to look at her as if just realizing she had been sitting there the whole time.
"Huh?"
"Well I'm as well as many of the viewers are dying to know what you think of Dynamight." She explained.
"D-Dynamight?" Swallowing down her nerves. She tried not to let the ongoing silence overwhelm her since she hadn't been expecting that question.
'Dude she looks like she's about to pass out!' Kirishima worriedly stared on in shock, and Deku seemed to think the same exact thing when he slowly leaned closer to whisper to her.
"Uraraka are you ok?"
Looking away, Bakugo was just about to turn to leave when her voice broke through the silence.
"Y-yeah Dynamight I…" Playing with her finger pads she allowed herself this one moment to answer. "What is there to really say?" Her voice grew so soft but held a hint of amusement before she looked up and the brown eyes that became lost in her own thoughts began to melt away any worries he might have felt at the moment. It threw him to them, made Bakugo wonder what it was that suddenly made the rosy tint to her cheeks brighten in a color even more so. "He's Bakugo." She softly giggled and he wasn't sure whether to take that as an insult or compliment until she continued.
"And there's nothing that will ever change that. And I for one am glad he hasn't. If it wasn't for him then I would never have thought of reaching for something more, for something I myself had no idea I could achieve. Thanks to him he made me understand that I am capable of doing more than just being a rescue hero. That I could fight for what I wanted. That I could stand here in front of people like you and be proud of the person I am today." She briefly paused to look at the audience before continuing. "Now I know that sometimes he might be…rough around the edges." She warmly smiled at nothing in particular as the blush on her cheeks refused to leave. "But he can also be very sweet, courageous, and cares a lot about people too."
She recalled the many times she's got to see a side of him not many people did, and she knew that if they did…if he allowed them to see it too, then they could see that wonderful hero inside him. Snapping out of her daze she furrowed her brows at the woman. "You don't have to understand him. You don't have to like him since he's not doing it for that. He's doing this to help people. He always has. And that doesn't change the fact that he's damn well at doing what he does. He gives you results. And results don't lie. So if you know anything, then you should know that he would do anything to help those in need. And we should count ourselves lucky to have someone like him as a hero."
Whistling Kirishima tilted his head back never having heard Uraraka curse before, but the smile on his face refused to leave, even as the interview continued.
For a long moment Bakugo just stared at the screen, frozen in awe as the words continued to ring loudly in his ears. The unexpected answer that came out of her mouth so flawlessly made him continue to watch with astonished wide shaky eyes until he had to drag his eyes downward. Anything else that was being said in the interview became nothing but muffled noises to his ears.
"Um Bakugo?" Kirishima confusingly asked when he saw his best friend swiftly turn without so much as a word. Any expression being hidden behind his thick ash blond bangs as he walked past Kirishima and out the door.
