It wasn't until the next day that Bakugo found himself barely able to keep his eyes open as he leaned back against the counter in the break room, absently staring at the steaming cup of coffee in his hand. He'd been restlessly tossing and turning all night, barely able to get more than a couple of hours of sleep as his mind continued to ponder over the interview.

That stupid interview.

In the event that he did manage to close his eyes he was haunted by the ongoing dreams he'd been having until the sudden alarm on his phone alerted him that it was time to get up.

He didn't know why her comment the other day still shocked him so much. She never made it a secret that she valued all of their classmates the same way. But given how much things seemed to have changed when she returned, he never once thought that she still thought of him that way. Or any way in general for that matter.

If anything, he only expected her to say something along the lines of being great teammates or possibly diverging the conversation elsewhere since she seemed to have a damn neck of doing that with him lately.

Hence his surprise visit to her apartment -which only seemed to make matters worse when he found out that the guy she'd been living with this whole damn time wasn't someone she'd been perhaps seeing but none other than one of the villains they'd fought before he apparently reformed.

He didn't like the thought of working anywhere near him. He even liked the idea less of that guy being in the same place as her and her child but in the end, he knew not to stick his nose where it didn't belong.

Taking a much-needed drink of his coffee, he pulled out his phone to check the time again.

It didn't matter. By this time tomorrow everything would transition back to the way it was supposed to be, and he'd be patrolling the streets again with Kirishima. Tiredly rubbing his eyelids, he sometimes wondered if the ongoing dreams he's been having were the cause of something more. That maybe something happened in a past life that continued to remind him of things that he'd never had or will ever have. Like some sick joke that seemed never ending after the asshole he'd been through his young life and that now…these were the consequence of his own actions.

Or maybe Kirishima was right, and all this overworking was just messing with his damn head.

Burying her face into the softness of her pillow Uraraka tried to hold onto the last bits of sleep as her phone's obnoxious buzzing continued to echo through her room. It took her a while to finally fall asleep last night, but anytime she did it was like her brain was telling her that it somehow knew she tried to get some sleep and said 'Here you go Ochaco, may I offer you a selection of your worst memories from the last ten years?'

"No fair…" She pouted but it changed into a triumphant smile when she felt herself being dragged back down into the blissful slumber that is sleep. But as life would have it, right before she was able to take that wonderful plunge between sleep and awareness her phone began to buzz again.

"Noooo." She groaned, blinding reaching for it. She contemplated grabbing it and hurling it out her window and maybe…just maybe there'd be a chance that it would hit whoever this was on the head. Perhaps that would give her some extra minutes of sleep, especially since Kiseki seemed to have the same idea when his lips turned down into a small pout when he felt his sleep being disturbed too.

When the phone continued to alert her of an incoming call she let out a silent sigh, trying not to wake up her sleeping baby who was curled up in his bassinet.

Yawning she allowed herself to snuggle in more under her warm covers as she answered her phone. "Hel-"

"Round face are you still sleeping?!" Bakugo irritatingly frowned on the other end, snapping his eyes to check the time again. There was no way this idiot could still be asleep.

Jolting upright, Uraraka completely forgot about her blissful slumber when Bakugo's gruff voice still echoed loudly in her ear. "Um n-no?" she sheepishly cringed.

"Out of bed NOW!"

"But…" Furrowing her brows she checked the time to see she still had some time left before needing to go into work. But this was Bakugo, and she knew he always made it to work earlier than most. Almost unnaturally so. What's more was that she was even surprised to hear him still talking to her after what happened yesterday.

"If you don't get your ass out of bed I will personally see to it that you do and drag your ass out here myself." He threatened as he glared down at his phone.

"You wouldn't." she silently gaped.

"You sure about that?" He evilly smirked on the other end before hanging up and lightly thumping the back of his head against the wall. Shit, trying to wake her up in the mornings was like trying to baptize a damn cat as far as he remembered from school whenever their class was forced to train in the early mornings -courtesy of one Shota Aizawa.

"Ugh, he's just as grumpy." Growling she cautiously looked around her room before peeking outside to make sure he wasn't anywhere near here before burrowing under the sanctuary of her blanket, not wanting to leave the coziness of her bed. 'There was no way he'd come all the way out here.' She tried to convince herself. 'Would he…?'

When she heard her phone alert her of a new notification, she cracked an eye open and frowned down at the phone in her hand.

Bakugo: Ass out of bed now!

Bakugo: I mean it. You really don't want me to come get you.

Groaning she placed her face into the pillow who was still calling out to her before she realized something. During her delirious state she completely overlooked a very important detail.

Uraraka: How did you get my number?

She saw him typing for a good minute before he erased whatever he was about to send until settling with simple responds.

Bakugo: Don't be late.

"Seriously?" Frowning she was just about to write a good angry essay back but stopped when she heard Kiseki stirring in his sleep. That was all she needed to know before in about four seconds her baby would be up and crying for some attention thanks to her partner. "I'm going to kill him..."

Sluggishly getting ready for the day, the reality of her current situation wasn't lost on her and knew that this was another day where she would have to spend most of her day with him again. Which was why she had been also worried the previous day. The last thing she wanted was for another awkward patrol like the first day together.

She could understand why he'd be so upset. So when she found out that he may not be as angry as she initially thought, she quickly made it a point to not be more late than she knew she would be.

This man was still rude and grumpy as ever, but that didn't stop her feet from lazily moving towards the Agency after first dropping Kiseki off. Just the sight of Bakugo could still make her heart flutter and feel like a complete teenager even if he didn't know it.

All while at the same time wanting to throttle him after having woken her and Kiseki up.

"Hello Dynamight. Wonderful day we're having right?"

With a look that would tell anyone to fuck off he quickly cut off the receptionist's annoying ramblings. "Would you quite your damn yapping already and tell me if KFC is here yet?"

Confusingly blinking, the receptionist Honoka wasn't sure who he was referring to until he frustratingly rolled his eyes.

"Hawks, is he here?"

"Oh no. He won't be here until tomorrow." She quickly informed him.

"Great." He mumbled before hearing the familiar clicking of heels which only made him surprisingly take a deep breath in and shove whatever fucking tingling nervous feeling way down.

"You're early." Uraraka's voice was light, but her expression said Kill.

"No you're just late."

"But I'm here aren't I?" Her cheeks puffed out as she leaned against the front desk pursing her lips.

"Just because the fact that you're here doesn't mean that punctuality goes out the window idiot." He scoffed.

Ok so maybe he was still sour about yesterday she confirmed.

Inhaling deeply she looked at him enough to see the tips of his ears turning a deep red. "When do we start?"

"An hour."

"What?!" she whirled around gawking at him. Did he just realize how much sleep she lost out on just to come here and get lectured on punctuality?!

"Don't get snappy with me Cheeks, Shitty Hair and Raccoon Eyes are supposed to patrol with us this morning to check out an abandoned building or some shit." He shrugged. "Shitty Hairs already upstairs waiting for us."

"Oh…" she slowly nodded letting her eyes wander over to the elevator doors before remembering her earlier question. But before she had the chance to ask how he got her number she was interrupted when the doors to the agency burst open.

"Sorry I'm late!" Mina breathlessly said as she ran up to them after barging through the doors. "But I got here as soon as I wanted to."

"The fuck?" Bakugo's eye began to twitch as he stared from one clueless face to the other. "How hard is it to be on time?!"

"Surprisingly very." Mina answered quite honestly as she looked back at her friend as if not understanding what the problem was.

"Shitty hair said you were on your way." He argued as he turned to stomp towards the elevator not bothering to check if they were following.

"Yeah." Mina agreed as they watched him slam the button to their floor. "That translates to I'm just now getting ready." She casually explained. "How do you not know this?"

"Because I know how to talk normal." He shot her an irritated glare before the doors DINGED open and he stepped in. "By the way have an of you tardy people seen Bird shit?"

"No." Uraraka shook her head. "Hawks won't be in since he's back at his own agency today." When the automatic door closed she turned to see Bakugo quickly averting his eyes.

As Mina walked over to her office when they stopped at their floor, Uraraka decided that she may as well wait in the break room with him since they weren't leaving just yet all while he continued to mumble under his breath about their lack of understanding on how to read time.

"You know, Mina did make an effort to come early." Uraraka barely managed to hold back a yawn as she spoke. "Usually, she would still be sleeping. Like the rest of us." she mumbled the last part as she entered the small room. Instantly the sleepy fog that still clouded her mind began to lift as the aroma of fresh coffee filled the room.

"Here." He said as he handed her a cup.

"Hmm?"

"It's coffee Round face. You drink it." He annoyingly squinted his eyes before he grabbed his second cup that day on the counter, finding the way her shocked expression made him want to look anywhere else right now uncomfortable.

The way she continued to raise her eyes from him and back down to the cup in her hands made him understand that she wasn't expecting him to do something like this. "You look like shit." He explained. "And the last thing I need is for you to tap out in the middle of our shift."

Snapping her mouth shut she bit back a smile to look down at the hot beverage once again. "Thanks. I just thought you were still mad about the other day."

Taking a sip of his coffee he mulled over his answer. "Still am. And trust me when I say I'm still having words with that damn pigeon." He shrugged indifferently. "But frankly, I don't give a damn what you do. It's none of my business either way."

"Oh." Her tone came out more deflated then she meant to.

Clearing his throat he finally turned enough to face her. "In the end I trust you enough to know what you're doing. But that doesn't mean I have to like it."

With a simple nod of her head, she hesitantly raised the cup in her hands and slowly sipped it. "Oh it's so yummy!" she happily beamed up at him, surprised that he still remembered exactly how she liked it which made it hard for him not to want to proudly smile into his own cup as he took another drink. Happy that she didn't seem to notice after she began drinking that damn cup of coffee like her life depended on it. "If you consider that shit even coffee." He gestured to the cup in her hand that was swimming in pure sugar. "I don't do that shit for Shitty hair so don't ever mention it."

"I won't." she quickly said between gulping down another sip.

"I mean it Round face." Throwing his cup away he settled her with a stern look before briskly walking out as she waved him off, too engrossed in her little cup of happiness.

Not two minutes later Kirishima came in happily singing a tune he must've recently heard. Merely shooting her a smile in greeting while he continued singing and rummaging through the fridge to get his shake out. Every word coming out louder and louder until he playfully winked at her when she began to giggle at his attempt at singing. "Glad to see you're doing great this morning."

"Now I am." She fondly stared down at the cup in her hands that made a shy blush appear on her cheeks but stopped when Bakugo's words finally sank in. Surely he was just kidding about the coffee or that she wasn't supposed to say anything. "Um Kirishima…?"

"Yeah?"

"Does…does Bakugo make you coffee?" she timidly asked only remembering that he had made her coffee back in UA.

Snapping the refrigerators door closed, he carefully eyed her when she wouldn't look at him. "Why do you ask?"

"Can you just answer the question?" When her eyes finally met his he decided to answer.

"Well…no. Not really unless you want to call picking up a cup at the store on the way-wait!" When he saw the cup clutched in her small hand and the heat rushing to her cheeks only confirming his suspensions, his mouth dropped open. "Did he make you coffee?!"

"What-no! No!" her eyes grew when he bend down to sniff her cup. He actually sniffed her cup to confirm for himself. "Don't be silly."

"Liar!" he dramatically gasped while playfully stumbling back in shock. That only lasted a mere seconds before his smile slowly faded. "Wait a minute…"

"Alright Raccoon eyes is just about done riding on her broomstick or some shit." Bakugo said as he momentarily stepped inside the break room to peek his head in.

"YOU MADE HER COFFEE?!" Kirishima bellowed in indignation. "You never make me coffee!"

"Way to keep that mouth of yours shut Pink Cheeks." Rolling his eyes he blankly stared back at Kirishima who now held a look of hurt on his face.

"Bakubro!"

"Oi don't get sappy with me! It's not my fault she showed up looking like hell alright!"

"Um excuse me!" she frowned while looking up from her cup.

"Or that you don't know how to wake up early enough to make a decent cup of coffee for once!"

"Hey!"

"What do you mean by that?" Uraraka threw her cup away after finishing it off.

"And I do too know how to make coffee!" Kirishima folded his arms over his chest,

"One brainless idiot at a time!" Bouncing between the two Bakugo didn't even know why he decided to come in here instead of just leaving without them. "Alright look…" he pointed his finger in her direction. "Clearly you look pretty much out of it today. And I need you good and ready to watch my back because if you so much as fuck up, it'll be my ass on the line. And you…!" he whirled around at Kirishima. "You've got two damn hands! How about you make your own goddamn drink for a change and stop complaining?!"

Gasping Kirishima and Uraraka followed his movements as he angrily stomped out.

"What was that all about?" Kirishima asked her, just as surprised by his outburst. "I guess everyone's pretty tense today.
