Chapter 998
Did You Sleep Well
The surveillance at the port location continued. The teams waited for a follow up attack, but it never materialized. Nothing else arrived either. They didn't know if it was actually supposed to or not. It was only speculation on their part.
It was almost daybreak. Cameron communicated with John Henry, CamNet, and the other four teams on station. It didn't look like there would be any further developments.
The two teams of Cameron's Terminators set up a few surveillance cameras before they left after policing the area. Maybe it was time to pull out and see what happened. It was possible someone may 'have eyes' on some of them and it prevented any further action. They didn't know. Perhaps it was better for everyone to roll before it became daylight and they were actually identifiable in the vehicles.
Sooner or later someone was going to snoop around and find the area was shot up and the wrecked vehicles inside of the building. They were pretty sure whoever sent the attack force was going to want to know what happened to it. It not only included the port facility, but also the old supermarket and the cryogenics lab as well. All of the vehicles associated with those three locations never returned to where they originated from. Someone would come looking for them at some point.
John Henry backdated all the files to show the location was used for a 'science fiction action movie' film sequence. That was to help mask what the drones actually were if anyone spotted them. Since there were no bodies left there, it looked like a sloppy film crew left a mess.
If nothing happened in two weeks, John Henry would contract with a local demolition firm and have the structure torn down. They used the tactic previously at locations where they dealt with Skynet before. They only left a vacant lot where whatever building they destroyed once stood. It helped to make sure all traces of Skynet were removed and the area was never available for use by Skynet again. They would slip a few members of the team in with the demolition crew to allow them to see if anything else turned up as the structure was torn down. Their main concern was if there was something hidden underground. No access points were ever located during the demolition.
Cameron provided accounts with millions of dollars in them for John Henry to use for the Resistance. He wondered how much she controlled herself. It was in the billions. He knew in the last few months Cameron seemed to come across billions more in 'clean' money somehow. He was sure there was some 'temporal financial management' involved in it. He knew not to ask. Nothing seemed disrupted in the timeline. There was no 'temporal malpractice' he could identify.
It would be hard for him to know if anything was different in the current timeline anyway. If things would have been changed half a century ago, they would seem normal to him and everyone else.
Cammy and Sheila were in the past for eight years. There were hundreds, if not thousands, of changes they could have made. There more than likely were quite a few terminations during the time period. Exactly who those individuals were and what effect they would actually have on the future was unknown. They never made it to the future.
He was sure there was a lot of stock manipulation along the way to acquire the funds in the present with a clean history. There were never any investigations into anything they did. There were plenty of records to back up anything they needed to show anyone.
John Henry needed to push the thoughts from his mind. There was no need to worry about what was done, or not done. Things were just the way they were, and it's how it was.
Cameron, Gail, and Savannah waited in the SUV. They were one of several teams waiting near the port facility which was taken down earlier. They waited for something else to develop. So far there were no new developments.
Savannah moved to the backseat under Cameron's urging, and attempted to get a little rest. She laid her head on Gail's lap. She soon drifted off.
The darkness was only lit by the faint moonlight. She moved along the side of a wall. There was a figure in front of her, and a figure in back of her. She wasn't quite sure where she was going. She wasn't even sure of where she was at. The voices she heard were familiar. She couldn't quite place them.
She could see a red dot on one of them. It was on the back of their head. She went to issue a warning and take action. Her feet felt as if they were mired in molasses. She could barely move. It was like everything was in slow motion. Even her words as she attempted to call out, started very slowly.
There was a bullet impact into the figure in front of her. In the darkness it appeared as if the individual's head disintegrated. Strangely enough their body continued to walk forward in the direction it was going as if nothing happened.
'This is a dream.' Savannah thought. 'This isn't real.'
The sky was much brighter.
The water lapped up against her feet. She could hear the sound of the waves as they crashed down on top of each other. She looked out over the ocean. She wasn't sure when she got there. She thought it must have been a while. The next wave came in a little higher. The water was up to the level of her knees. It seemed to happen very quickly. The next wave came in and the water was above her waist. Things started to feel dangerous.
Wait.
The sound of the next wave was even louder. It sounded as if the wave was below her. She realized she was on a pier. She looked over the side of the pier at the waves below. She wasn't in the water.
She could see a figure at the end of the pier. She started to walk towards it. The figure turned as she approached and opened their arms. She rushed forward for the embrace.
Savannah awoke. She opened her eyes and looked up. Gail smiled down at her.
It was still dark out. There was a glow to the east. The sun would show itself soon. The morning coastal air was cool and crisp.
Gail noticed some movement with Savannah right before she opened her eyes. There seemed to be quite a bit of REM.
"Did you sleep well?" Gail asked.
Savannah could see it was almost morning. She was surprised she slept so long. She was a little relieved to still be where she last remembered being earlier on.
"Yes. I think I slept too well. I'm sorry I didn't wake up earlier." Savannah said. "I was only going to rest my eyes for a few minutes. I guess it turned into a few hours. I was very inattentive."
Gail didn't think so.
"Cameron and I were attentive so you could rest." Gail said. "The other teams, and the drones overhead, didn't report any contact. There was no reason to wake you earlier."
Savannah sat up and stretched a little. She noticed right away someone was missing.
"Where's Cameron?" Savannah asked as she looked around.
Gail was a little surprised with Cameron's actions earlier.
"She's out on patrol around the vehicle." Gail said.
Savannah would have preferred if she stayed with them. She wondered how long it was.
"Has she done it all night?" Savannah asked.
Gail wanted to switch with Cameron several times. She thought Cameron and Savannah should be together. She still felt like an interloper, even if Cameron urged her to remain where she was at.
"Yes." Gail said. "She checked on you to make sure you were soundly asleep before she got out. I offered to switch with her four times. She wouldn't do it. She's very stubborn at times. Maybe we all are."
The driver's door opened and Cameron slid back into the driver's seat.
"I'm back." Cameron said. "I just stepped out for a few short patrols."
Savannah smiled to herself. She could see Cameron's clothing was damp from the ocean air. It was a good indication it was a little longer than a few short patrols.
"Hi, Cameron." Savannah said. "I take it nothing happened while I was asleep."
Cameron would have liked for something to happen so they could get some resolution and wrap the operation up completely. It didn't look like it would happen. Right now everything would remain a loose end. She didn't like loose ends. She wanted to focus her attention on Savannah right now.
"Hello, Savannah. Did you sleep well?" Cameron asked. "I think we're going to call off the operation. It doesn't appear anything further is going to happen. I believe it would have happened in the darkness if it was going to."
Savannah looked around. It seemed as if a few things happened in the darkness. There were a few fleeting dreams still floating around in her mind. All the details were gone. The sun would be up in a short time.
"Yes. It's still early yet." Savannah said. "We can only do so much. The next move is really up to the enemy at this point. We know we have two of them based upon what happened at the port facility. Maybe it was more."
Cameron considered the possibility there could have been a third group. They didn't have any proof if there was. She wanted to wait, but they didn't know what they were supposed to be waiting for or who. She decided everything should be as they normally do it at other locations they dealt with the enemy.
"I'll leave two teams of my Terminators in the area. We've set up surveillance at all the locations we've operated at in the last few days." Cameron said. "Everywhere we've been is now listed as a 'set' for a 'science fiction action movie' where filming was done. Everything else afterwards will be a standard follow up."
Savannah was aware of the current policy. She wondered if the Resistance was the only one who put a 'ringer' in with the demolition crew. If there was, they were very careful about it. No one was ever detected looking for anything Skynet related in the rubble.
"In two weeks the wrecking crews will move in for the final cleanup." Savannah said. "It's now our standard procedure."
Cameron looked at Savannah. It made her feel bad about keeping Savannah out all night. She wanted to get Savannah back to the base. Since nothing further developed where they were at, there was no point in waiting any longer.
"It is a good one too. I'm glad CamNet came up with the idea." Cameron said. "I'm going to call the girls and we will caravan back to the base. It will provide you with the maximum amount of protection if we do."
Savannah didn't want to feel like a presidential candidate. She didn't see the need to tie everyone up on her behalf. There was something in the back of her mind. She may even have dreamed about it a little. She remembered she was about to meet someone. She couldn't quite remember where it was. It was often hard to remember everything which occurred in a dream. She needed to do something else too. She didn't want it to be an issue with Cameron. She decided to spell it out. It wasn't something she wanted to do behind Cameron's back, or make it seem like it was a secret.
"I need to see CamNet." Savannah said. "I was going to do it when I left Palmdale. It didn't happen. There were other more urgent pressing Resistance matters which took precedence."
Cameron was aware of Savannah's plans. She also knew why it didn't happen when it was supposed to. They ended up as part of the operation. They were still there now because of it. She wanted to discuss a few things with CamNet herself.
"I do too." Cameron said. "I need to have a talk with her."
Savannah was glad it wasn't going to be an issue with Cameron. She figured Cameron wanted to find out why the girls went to see CamNet. She was aware it was a violation of CamNet's visitor policy. CamNet wasn't allowed to have visitors except for Cameron and her.
"Is it about Vanna and Allison visiting CamNet?" Savannah asked.
It was a thought which didn't sit well with Cameron. She felt there was some deeper or sinister motive to CamNet doing it. She wasn't sure what happened or what issue CamNet tried to force to happen.
"Yes." Cameron said. "It shouldn't have happened."
Savannah didn't want what happened to develop into an issue or problem.
"They ARE Allison Young and Savannah Weaver." Savannah said. "She was only curious to compare us. I think she wanted to see how Young Allison and I are as adults."
Cameron was well aware of it. Since CamNet knew everything she did about Vanna and Allison it reinforced her fears CamNet was up to something different.
"She already has all the information." Cameron said. "She knows everything I do. I don't like it."
Savannah didn't want any trouble or hard feelings to linger over this issue. You didn't want any negative repercussions to come back on Vanna and Allison either.
"Please don't yell at her about it." Savannah said. "It's not something which needs to turn into a major issue or problem."
Cameron still wasn't convinced CamNet wasn't up to something.
"We'll see." Cameron said.
Gail sat silently through the exchange between Cameron and Savannah. She could see Savannah tried to 'look out' for both Cameron and CamNet. It didn't look like she wanted any problems for Allison and Vanna either.
She also kept a vigilant watch around them. She spotted the other two teams of Metal girls headed towards them.
"Here comes Cammy." Gail said. "Cam is behind her."
The other two SUVs pulled up. One was in front, and one in back of them.
The sun was just about to creep over the eastern horizon. The sky was much brighter now. It seemed to happen very quickly.
Cameron made a final check with John Henry and CamNet. There was no enemy activity detected on the ground or in the air.
"The drones are all headed back to fifty thousand feet to remain unobserved." Cameron said. "I'm not sure if we still need all of them or not. Maybe we should leave things the way they are for now until we know more."
Savannah looked up and then around the area they were in. She could see the silhouette of a large bridge. It towered over the harbor area. The size of it intrigued her. She wondered what all she could see from it.
"Can we drive over the big green suspension bridge?" Savannah asked. "I'd like to see the entire port area before we go. I don't get down to this area much."
Cameron wondered why Savannah wanted to look around more. She wondered if she missed something. It wouldn't hurt to see things from a different perspective.
"We can do it." Cameron said.
Cameron told Cammy and Cam what they were going to do. No one questioned the decision. The team would stick together for now.
The three SUVs headed out.
John Henry monitored everything as always. He was curious as to why Savannah wanted to look further around the port area. It didn't occur to him she just wanted to look around to see things. The fact it was a beautiful morning at the port was lost to him.
He noticed John was on his way to the Command Center. He arrived a short time later.
"Hello, John. Did you sleep well?" John Henry asked. "You're up early."
John experienced a very uneasy sleep. He really wasn't sure why.
"No, I seemed to have a lot of trouble staying asleep." John said as he looked around. "It's early."
John Henry went over all the events which occurred since John went to bed. There was nothing of significance. The current operation seemed concluded for all practical purposes.
"The operation seems to be over." John Henry said. "For now."
John thought about Savannah spending a cold night in an SUV while he slept in a warm bed. It didn't sit well with him.
"Let's get our people home." John said.
John wondered if he should have made the call last night. Since nothing actually happened, he really wished he would have. They could have kept a group of Terminators on alert with the Blackhawk. The drones could have remained over the port area. There were surveillance cameras set up to observe everything. He looked back towards the hallway and thought about where his room was at. Maybe he should have thought a little bit more about the others. He was sure it was Cameron's doing to keep everyone there.
John Henry was aware Cameron already made the decision to bring everyone back.
"They've rendezvoused and are about to caravan back." John Henry said. "All standard protocols are in place."
John understood what would follow. He believed it was a good policy.
"If nothing develops in two weeks, everything will be gone." John said. "The 'movie industry' has been good to the demolition companies."
John Henry didn't think the demolition company cared what industry was involved as long as they received their money. It was the sole purpose they were in business for. They offered a service and expected just compensation for it. They needed to pay their employees and turn a profit. It was just business. There was no need to discuss the economics of it.
"Indeed." John Henry said.
John was glad to hear the girls were on their way back. He didn't think there would be much traffic on their return route. He figured they could make pretty good time.
"How soon will they be back?" John asked. "How long will it take them?"
John Henry knew there was no traffic currently. He figured the girls would probably drive about twenty miles an hour over the speed limit. With light traffic, it might attract the attention of a bored Highway Patrol officer. He would make sure there were no law enforcement personnel around.
"At this time of the morning, fifty minutes." John Henry said.
John wondered if he could get lucky with Cameron when she got back. He wouldn't mind a little morning 'trim'. He really would have liked to have acted sooner. There were other things he could have done as well.
"I should have sent the Blackhawk for them." John said.
It seemed unnecessary to John Henry.
"They'll be back soon enough." John Henry said.
John Henry figured why John would like to have the girls back earlier. He'd noted last night John didn't view the usual images he often did on the internet. It was a shame because he liked to review them as well. He really wondered how things could be so different with all of the females when everything was exactly the same. The function was the same anyway. He wondered if John gave 'Rosie' the night off.
It seemed like a few subjects he shouldn't bring up for discussion for a couple of different reasons. It would be business as usual soon enough anyway. Cameron always needed to be out to fight the war on her own.
Anna was displeased with Young Allison's choice of sleeping quarters.
She noticed Young Allison was on the move.
"Did you sleep well?" Anna asked.
Young Allison yawned and stretched a little.
"Yes. Well enough." Young Allison said.
Anna thought she still looked tired.
"You need to get some more sleep." Anna said.
Young Allison slept in one of the beds in the bunker. She wanted to be close to the action if it developed. Nothing developed during the night. She was as relieved as she was disappointed. It meant it was a little safer for Savannah, even if it would have been uncomfortable for her. Sleeping in the SUV was better than dodging bullets. She already needed to do it once in the night as it was.
"I'm fine." Young Allison said. "Fill me in on what went down."
Anna monitored the Resistance base. She knew there were several things which went down at the location. She knew Young Allison would like to hear about it, but she wasn't going to hear about it from her. She would stick to the operation. She went over everything which transpired. It wasn't much.
Young Allison was glad there were no incidents but she thought something would have happened. It seemed very anticlimactic for the way events appeared they were going to play out. She really thought there would be a little more action before the night was done.
"That's it?" Young Allison asked. "What's next?"
Anna didn't want to get into any specifics. She kept it simple.
"They're on the way back." Anna said.
It made Young Allison think of the discomfort Savannah must have gone through during the night. It didn't sit well with her.
"Savannah needed to be in the SUV all night." Young Allison said. "It would have been cold and uncomfortable. She must be sore and stiff."
Anna was aware Savannah needed to do Similar things many times before. It was really nothing new.
"She's done so multiple times." Anna said. "Some of them were in the future. Two futures to be exact."
It was true. Young Allison knew once she entered operations like Savannah, it would happen more often. It wasn't something she wanted to do just to do it. It was something she wanted to do to help share the burden with Savannah. She didn't like to see Savannah always draw the short straw.
"I guess I will too, soon." Young Allison said. "It's going to happen no matter what."
Young Allison felt they could only hold her back for so long.
Anna didn't look forward to it. She hoped it was delayed as long as possible.
"Maybe in this timeline, but not in reality." Anna said. "You need to remember things are going to be different in the past."
It was possible once Young Allison was in the past, she could become soft. There would be minimal threats to her and life should be easier and safer. She would need to stay vigilant. She would probably end up being sidetracked anyway. It was all something to think about. There was always a lot to think about. She tried to prepare herself for the events she would encounter. She wondered if she would actually influence any of those events. Maybe what she knew as history, was something she helped, or caused, to happen.
"I know." Young Allison said. "I've studied everything I can get my hands on."
Anna followed what she could as to what Young Allison looked into about the past. There were some interesting things she wanted to observe.
"I see you've picked out quite a few 'cultural events' to attend, and places to visit." Anna said.
Young Allison didn't see it as a big deal. They should see some history as it was made. It gave them a perfect chance to witness them first hand.
"If we're going to be there…." Young Allison said. "I might as well see them. I can be a 'teenybopper' at all of the great concerts which happen during the time period."
Anna knew she would be busy trying to keep Young Allison from getting into trouble on several levels if they did. She didn't want her to get caught up in events. She wasn't sure if she was worried the most about sex, drugs, or rock and roll. It seemed as if it was the cornerstone for the fall of Western Society. Skynet just made everything happen a little quicker. It was the fall of every society. They were still going to need to be a heavy hand on the tiller, as well as a heavy foot on the brakes.
"I'll have to closely monitor you at those events." Anna said. "I need to enforce your 'directives'. You will not be able to do the same things as the others around you do."
Young Allison wanted to remain pure for Savannah, Cameron, and John. There was another part of the era which bothered her. She wondered if there was something they could do about it in the past but she knew they couldn't. If they did, things would be different than they were now. So it didn't appear anything was done when they were there, even if they hadn't left yet. She didn't want to end up drugged and abused against her will. She didn't know it was exactly what happened to her mother in high school.
"I want you to enforce the rules." Young Allison said. "I don't understand the drug use which seems to have exploded in the era and continues to this day. What do the individuals think is happening, or going to happen?"
Anna was aware since the beginning of time people sought different vices.
"People seek many forms of escape from the world and its problems." Anna said. "Most of the problems are self induced. Any escape they find is usually very temporary. The problems they're involved with or created, are still there when the effects of the drugs and alcohol wear off."
Young Allison believed it was the result of a character flaw more than anything else. It seemed to her the people buckled under the normal pressure of everyday life. She believed they were weak and spineless. She didn't plan to run with the herd because she didn't care for those who did. She knew what her destiny was, and she tried to remain focused on it.
"I guess they don't all know their future, or their place in it, like I do." Young Allison said. "The bottom line is, they know what's right and what is wrong. They can make up whatever they want, and dance around the issues, but reality still exists at the end of the day."
Anna was very confident Young Allison knew her place going forward, even if there were millions who didn't.
"No, they don't." Anna said.
Anna spent two hours reminding Young Allison of her future last night as she slept. She didn't like the fact she slept in the bunker, but it did make her nightly conditioning much easier since she was close by. She always made sure Young Allison knew what her place was and what awaited her. It was a future many would envy, if they knew what it was.
Samantha checked on Precious. She could tell she would wake up soon. She would need to be changed and fed.
She decided to see if Jesse was awake yet. There were no sounds of 'activity' which still emanated from the room. They died down a few hours ago. She quietly entered the room next to Riley's room.
Jesse and Claire were both naked. They were half covered by a sheet. She stood there and took in their beauty for a few seconds. She knew she would look like Claire at some point in the future. She liked what she saw, even though it wasn't much.
Jesse stirred and opened her eyes.
Samantha decided to get ahead of the game.
"Did you sleep well?" Samantha asked.
Jesse thought any night she didn't need to hide from a group of men in the Wastelands was a good night. It was nice to be able to close her eyes and actually sleep without fear. When she went to sleep in the Wastelands, the fear wasn't if she wouldn't wake up. The fear was she would wake up and need to live through another day in the Hell of the Wastelands. All the bad things could happen again and again. It wasn't the issue right now.
"Sure, love." Jesse said. "I did."
Jesse glanced over at Claire. She was still asleep. She reflected on the love they shared several times during the night. She needed to refocus. Samantha was there for a reason.
"Does Precious need me?" Jesse asked.
Samantha knew Precious would need Jesse soon.
"Yes." Samantha said. "I'm sorry to disturb you."
Jesse noticed the way Samantha looked at her and Claire. It never hurt to send out an 'advertisement'.
"No worries, love." Jesse said. "Jesse has something to offer everyone…."
Samantha glanced at Jesse then at Claire.
"Indeed." Samantha said.
Jesse sat all the way up in bed.
"Let me hit the loo and I'm good to go." Jesse said. "I want to get cleaned up a little for Precious too."
Samantha tilted her head slightly as she referenced the unfamiliar term.
"I understand." Samantha said.
Jesse allowed more than one Terminator to watch her do her bodily functions before. She really didn't think it was a big deal. She thought it could actually help them learn what they would need to do and simulate, if they were on some deep infiltration mission.
"I'd offer to let you watch, but I don't want to get you deactivated." Jesse said. "One thing always seems to lead to another."
Samantha tilted her head slightly to the other side.
She wondered about it. She would need to study those 'procedures' more at a later date. It was time for business right now.
"I can bring Precious here." Samantha said.
Jesse didn't want to inconvenience anyone else.
"I'll go to her." Jesse said. "Give me a few."
Samantha was very pleased with Jesse.
"Thank You." Samantha said.
Jesse got out of the bed. She made sure Samantha saw all of her naked body as she headed toward the bathroom. She looked back over her shoulder and smiled at Samantha.
Samantha was even more pleased with Jesse.
"Thank You." Samantha said again.
Vanna was awake and stared at Allison. She missed having Allison by her side all the time. She hoped things would return to the way they were before Allison moved 'home'. Even as much as it upset and hurt her, she understood Allison's desire to be with her parents again. It was something she couldn't do.
Allison stirred and the sheet slipped down and exposed her naked breasts. Her beautiful eyes opened.
Vanna and Allison looked at each other for a long moment. Words were unnecessary to convey how they felt about each other.
"Did you sleep well?" Vanna asked.
Allison thought about the love they shared on and off during the night.
"Yes." Allison said. "I always sleep well with you by my side. Just to be next to you is all I need, anything else is a bonus."
Vanna smiled. It was what she wanted to hear. She wondered if Allison really meant it.
Allison wondered what Vanna was thinking about. She thought it was about her.
"Did you sleep well?" Allison asked.
Vanna always slept well with Allison at her fingertips.
"Yes." Vanna said.
The two long time lovers embraced and shared a slow gentle kiss. If deepened into a prolonged kiss.
"You can tell what we were doing last night." Vanna said when the kiss ended.
Allison giggled.
"It's one of the finer things in life." Allison said. "You can use the restroom first, it's your room."
Vanna looked at Allison. It wasn't how she felt about it. Allison owned her heart. She owned it for years. It would always belong to Allison.
"It's our room." Vanna said. "It's always been OUR room, even before you came back from the future."
Vanna told her how she always thought of her in her absence. Vanna told her to be in Paradise without the one she loved, was anything but Paradise at all.
"You told me before." Allison said. "You wanted to give it up to come back to me."
Vanna touched her hand between her breasts. She wanted Allison to know how she felt about her. It was more than just a feeling. It was her entire being.
"You're always here with me…." Vanna said. "I wanted you here more than anything. If you couldn't be, I wanted to go back."
Allison smiled and touched Vanna's cheek, the covers slipped all the way off of them. Vanna was fully exposed now as well. She was impressed at what she saw. Vanna and her were almost the same size in the future. Vanna was already fully developed because she was older than her. She wasn't when they first were together. She always wondered if she would get bigger than Vanna or not. She ended up the same size. With the recent addition of hormones, it was clearly no longer the case.
"Wow!" Allison said. "Look at the size of those things."
Vanna cupped her breasts.
"If Precious doesn't need me, you can have 'breakfast in bed'." Vanna said. "You can go ahead and use the restroom first while I contact Samantha. I need to find out if I need to go. I don't want her to bring Precious here. Precious should stay by Riley."
Allison took off and Vanna made the call. She found out Jesse tended to Precious as they spoke.
Allison returned and Vanna took off to use the restroom.
"It's breakfast in bed for you when I get back." Vanna said as they passed.
Allison thought life in Paradise was good and offered a lot. She freshened herself up and knew Vanna would do the same.
"Life is good in Paradise." Allison said.
Vanna looked back at Allison with love in her eyes. Life was only good in Paradise since Allison was with her again. It did make her wonder though what would have happened if Allison wouldn't have returned to the past when she did. She was pretty sure Cameron and her would have consummated their love for each other. Now it was doubtful it would ever happen. The honor would go to her younger self. She envied Savannah greatly.
She glanced back at Allison as she entered the bathroom. She knew she should be thankful for what she actually possessed. She planned to work on Allison real special when she came back out. She was very grateful they were reunited. She didn't ever want to be separated again, no matter what the situation was. If she was ever in a situation where she was going to die, it was who she would want to die with. What better way to spend eternity together, than to enter it together.
Closing monologue by Cameron:
Did You Sleep Well
When one feels a desire
It's a feeling they want to quell
It's actually a subject
On which they shouldn't dwell
It soon becomes more
Than someone ringing their bell
They want more and more
As they fall under their spell
Perhaps there are things
At which they excel
The writing's on the wall
The future is easy to foretell
The passion becomes a prison
The bedroom is now a cell
Everything falls apart
It becomes a living Hell
They want to break away
But the lust continues to compel
They are intoxicated
By the touch, taste and smell
It soon becomes impossible
For the other one to expel
The mind wants freedom
But the heart won't rebel
Like everything before
It soon becomes a parallel
It does no good
To scream, cry or yell
The more they tried to climb
The further they fell
They can never crawl back
Into the isolation of their shell
Is this really the story
That one needs to tell
It's worse than a nightmare
Did you sleep well
Nobody
