Chapter 1028
Start Me Up Again
The waitress arrived at the table to take their order. They previously discussed what they were going to do. John would eat the majority of both meals, but didn't want to look like a pig by ordering two things, and Cameron nothing. She would order one for him as her order.
John ordered the Swordfish steak with extra tartar sauce. He really liked the way tartar sauce tasted. It gave the fish some extra 'zing'.
Cameron ordered the lobster. She was only going to try a tiny taste of each one and let John have the rest. She didn't want it to look strange at the table.
They shared some small talk, but didn't talk shop. There really wasn't a lot of small talk to talk about. Cameron never liked to talk about 'work' when they were alone. She always wanted their alone time to be about them.
There were a lot of things which happened on and off the books when she was out on an operation. She preferred not to discuss them and certainly didn't want any feedback about it. It was usually negative feedback she received from John about her actions out in the field. She was the one who carried the load. She thought it should count for something. She knew they didn't always like the way she did things. The whole point was, she actually did the things. The burden didn't fall to anyone else other than her. It wasn't all fun and games in the bedroom. There were things which needed to be done and they didn't get done thinking about them. There was more to protecting the future than just stopping Skynet. It was true Skynet was the key, but all the other factors would play into it. Skynet didn't seize control and maintain it on its own from the interior of a metal box. It received plenty of assistance in different ways from a multitude of individuals. Maybe some of those dupes didn't know who their real boss was, maybe some of them did. Maybe some of them didn't care as long as they got a paycheck. Either way they became a Gray or at least a collaborator by association.
Savannah taught her people knew the difference between right and wrong, even if they didn't know exactly what they were doing. They could quickly pick up the overall gist of whatever it was they were involved in. It was the point where each individual chose to continue to do what they knew was wrong, or walk away from what they were involved in. The majority of people wouldn't walk away, but look the other way instead.
Everything was about money. It all came down to money. It still fascinated her how green paper with numbers on it indicated value to people. At the end of the day, it was still green paper with numbers on it and absolutely nothing more. It was almost like mass hypnosis to her. If for some reason everybody believed a penny was worth a million dollars, and they all went along with it like they did with the green paper, then a penny would be worth a million dollars. It was little wonder why Skynet was able to take control. Humans lived outside of the realm of reality in their own little self created dream worlds. The center of each of those dream worlds was the individual who dreamt it. She wondered sometimes if it's where she went.
"...switch plates…." John said.
Cameron blinked her eyes twice and smiled at John. She realized she missed whatever he spoke to her about. She was lost deep in thought about the irrationality of humans. She was aware that sometimes they lost track of a conversation as well. She quickly replayed her files.
"We can switch plates halfway through." Cameron said. "You can just keep what's left of the main course and slide it to the other plate when we switch. It won't look like I'm not eating if we do. I don't think it's an uncommon occurrence where two people who are deeply associated with each other will share their food. Often the male will finish some of the female's food as well."
John didn't think it was going to be a problem. Since he was in the restaurant and could see and smell the food the others were eating, it seemed to increase his appetite. He actually didn't even know when the last time was when he had a solid sit down type meal. He wasn't even sure where the last restaurant he visited was. It seemed like it was quite some time ago. The few times he was out, he normally just grabbed some fast food on the way back to the base. It was simple and easy. It's why I could turn into a bad habit.
He did like the quality of the food on the food cart in the room at the casino hotel in Las Vegas. He was sure a meal at the restaurant there would have been excellent. He knew they usually contained more than one fancy restaurant as well. He was just thrilled to be out at a semi-fancy location with Cameron. He couldn't help but admire her beauty with her form fitting dress.
Cameron checked around the room one more time. It didn't seem anyone paid much attention to them. She often was able to observe people as they watched her. She wasn't really sure why they always looked at her, but they always did. She noticed they didn't look at other individuals like it very often. When she was out with any of the other females from the Resistance, people all looked at them as well. Savannah told her it was because they were all beautiful and people liked to see beauty.
The food came and John ate a hearty meal, two of them.
He noticed Cameron looked a little bit out of it right now. He thought it earlier as well. He figured it must be boring for her to have to sit there and watch him consume organic matter as fuel for his body. He thought it would be pretty boring if he needed to sit around and watch someone else eat. He knew the other end of the equation would be even worse for her to witness. What went in, needed to come out. She told him before it seemed to be a very inefficient process. He couldn't really disagree with her, but animals of all types needed to do the same thing, even if it was only plants they consumed.
It made him wonder about the time they shared in bed. He couldn't imagine how boring it would be just to lay in bed and stare at the ceiling as someone snored next to them for hours. It was really wrong for him to expect Cameron to spend the entire night with him while it occurred. Why did he want it? It was in case he woke up during the night so he could knock one off. Whenever one of those happened, it would only be for his sexual gratification. One of those sessions never produced any results for her. He realized it was pretty selfish on his part all of the way around. He wasn't even sure if Cameron tried anything to taste yet.
"Try some tartar sauce with your bite of Swordfish." John said.
Cameron looked at the gooey cream colored sauce. It was thick but kind of runny. She wasn't really sure if she wanted to try it.
John dipped a bite of his Swordfish into the tartar sauce. There was a lot of tartar sauce he picked up on the piece of fish as he ate it. Some of it dripped and ran down the side of his mouth towards his chin.
The tartar sauce reminded her of 'something else'. She looked the same way more than once with John.
She was in the position plenty of times to make it happen. It did nothing for her. She liked to please John. When John was happy, she was happy, at least she tried to tell herself it was how it was. She wasn't really sure. Right now the tartar sauce on John's face sort of turned her off to anything..
"Maybe later…." Cameron said.
The way the tartar sauce was on John's face only reinforced the thought. She leaned over and wiped it off with her napkin. She knew she must have looked quite similar on more than a few occasions. Normally she tried to contain whatever John delivered to her. Sometimes it just didn't work out. It could happen because of the position or the intensity of the event. She could have done without the laughter after it occurred. It took her a while to get everything out of her eyes. There were times when she wondered if it wasn't actually what John wanted to do. She quickly pushed the thoughts from her mind. They still tended to creep up from time to time based upon her observations of John and some of the things he looked at, or viewed.
Cameron asked if John wanted anything else to 'drink' and he declined. It was a veiled reference to alcohol. He didn't think anyone who used alcohol was safe around Cameron. He was aware of some of the events Cameron orchestrated when the girls were inebriated. He didn't think Cameron would do it to him, but it did cross his mind. It made him wonder if he was with any of the girls and didn't remember it. He thought it would actually be worse than not having been with them. If he was going to be with them, he wanted to remember the experience. If it really happened, he could call it up in his mind when 'Rosie' visited. If he was with them, nobody ever said anything about it. He figured at this point if it happened, it would be alright with him. He thought about suggesting it to Cameron but didn't want to spoil the atmosphere and closeness they currently shared.
It still made him wonder if Cameron hadn't slipped Allison, Vanna, or Jesse in on him at some point during the night. Would he have noticed the difference in the darkness? He didn't think so. He wouldn't have done any foreplay either. He just would have rolled on top of them, knocked one off, and then went back to sleep. The girls from the future weren't the only ones on his mind.
He couldn't help but think about the current arrival at the Resistance base. It was Allison's mother. Somehow it made her sound older, but she wasn't. She was actually younger than Vanna and Jesse. She was only a couple of years older than Allison. There was a cheerfulness and freshness to Claire all the other females lacked except Savannah and Young Allison. It was nice to be around a 'happy' person. He was sure it was because she didn't need to grow up in the future like the other girls did. He realized his mother was very much like the girls from the future. When he thought about it, she basically needed to experience the same things.
Maybe it was worse for his mother because she needed to be with a multitude of different men to learn skills and training by choice, rather than force. She no more wanted to do it with those strangers than the girls from the future did as they were held down. She did it for one reason. She did it to protect him. He understood the true test of love was sacrifice. If he ever questioned his mother's love, all he needed to do was remember the sacrifice she endured on his part. Everything she did, she did for him. He remembered the one time when she told him he could hate her as much as he wanted, but she would protect him as long as she could, no matter what happened. It made him feel very selfish and very foolish to remember it. He knew his mother would die for him. It wasn't a comforting thought.
Somehow it seemed all the messed up things about people's lives, including those he knew who died, was all somehow his fault, even if it was indirect. Why was he the focal point of everyone else's misery and sacrifice? There was some movement which disturbed his thoughts.
He looked up and directly into the cleavage of the waitress who was bent over the table to collect the plates. He could see right away she packed a really nice 'rack'. What he noticed was there was a tattoo of a daisy on her right breast. He was pretty sure there was more, but her top covered it. He quickly looked over at Cameron. There was a blank look on her face, but then she smiled at him. He was pretty sure she caught him checking the waitress out. He wasn't really paying attention and then 'bam', there it was right in front of him. He really wondered sometimes why some females complained when someone stared at them when most of their breasts were exposed by the type of outfit they wore. They could simply wear a shirt, or a more conservative outfit, and not experience the same problem. What was the point in 'advertising', and then be upset about what the cat drug in?
They shared some more small talk after the waitress left. She was soon on her way back over to the table.
The waitress wanted to know if they wanted dessert. They didn't.
John asked Cameron how much they should leave for the tip.
Cameron looked at John with a slight smile on her face.
"It depends upon how much you liked her tattoo and where it was at." Cameron said. "She did make sure you saw it. Don't get flustered. She made sure I saw it as well."
They finished up and headed back outside after tipping the waitress. It was decided they would give her a generous tip for being such a good sport.
Cameron didn't tell John the waitress slipped her a business card from the establishment with her personal phone number written on the back of it. It happened from time to time whenever she went out. Strangely enough, no male ever did the same thing to her. It was always females. She wondered if it was because males already thought she was spoken for, or they wouldn't have a chance. Some of the females were incredibly beautiful. She considered harvesting some of their DNA for future female Terminator chassis she captured.
John could see Cameron was a little preoccupied still.
It was time to go.
They passed through the patio. There was music playing.
'In The Mood' by 'Glenn Miller', was the current song.
Cameron stopped. She felt a desire to do something. Somehow it was the perfect setting. She was in the mood for a little more.
John looked back at her. He wondered why she stopped. He looked around and there were a few other couples dancing. It seemed to be a Forties themed night. Some of the people wore period clothing. Maybe Cameron wanted to dance. He remembered when he used to watch her dance. He hadn't seen her do it in a long time. It actually made him feel a little sad. He knew it was something she enjoyed.
"Would you care to dance?" John asked. "You know I'm not very good."
Cameron smiled at John. She hoped he would ask her and he did. She was aware he wasn't very good at dancing, but it wasn't the point. It didn't matter. It was the thought and the gesture which was important. She liked the little things when he reached back and touched her 'inside'.
"I'd like to dance with you." Cameron said. "Thank you."
They danced and soon the song finished up.
There was only a slight pause until the next song started to play.
The music slowed down a little.
'Tuxedo Junction' by 'Glenn Miller', played next.
Cameron moved in close to John. She felt there was a solution for him to learn to dance a little better. She knew there were two individuals who could teach him. She felt if they were in close contact with each other for an hour or more at a time, it would lead to a deeper closeness between them as individuals. She wanted to complete her mission. She wanted to provide John with what he wanted. She knew what he wanted and desired, even if he couldn't admit it, even to himself.
"You know Savannah and Young Allison can teach you how to dance." Cameron whispered in his ear. "It is really something they both enjoy doing."
It struck her there was actually a third individual who could really teach him how to dance and she was experienced in 'other matters'. It was Claire. If Claire stayed at the Resistance base, she would make sure she asked her to help John learn to dance while she stood next to Summer. No. She would just ask her instead.
She realized dancing was an age-old precursor for two individuals to share a deep closeness with each other, often with their body parts touching, including some of the ones which would be considered private. It was for the two individuals to see how compatible they were with each other with the extreme closeness.
John wondered why Cameron didn't offer herself. No, he really didn't need to wonder. He knew. He wanted to give her a third option.
"So can you." John said. "You can teach me."
John felt Cameron stiffen a little.
"OK, maybe I'll ask Savannah." John quickly said.
John felt Cameron relax again.
At the end of the song she gave him a long deep kiss.
An instrumental version of 'Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy' (From Company B), played.
John and Cameron danced to the song and left when it ended.
It was clear the music was going to go on for a while longer.
John was a little surprised when Cameron told him they needed to go. It made him wonder if he offended her by not accepting the offer immediately about Savannah and Young Allison to teach him to dance.
He'd shared a really great night with Cameron. They did a lot of things in a short while.
They walked along the rocks along the edge of the parking lot as the waves crashed below them.
When they arrived back at the SUV Cameron opened the door for John.
"I should be the one who does it for you." John said.
Cameron flashed John her sly sideways smile.
"You'll get your chance." Cameron said. "I just wanted to change my shoes."
John wondered why she needed to do it. Everything was fine on the way to the seafood restaurant.
Cameron took off her high heels and changed her shoes. She closed the door on the SUV. It didn't look like they were going to get into it. She wanted to ask John if he was ready for a little more excitement. She thought it would be better to give him some hands-on experience instead.
"Follow me." Cameron said.
John looked confused and followed Cameron around the back side of the SUV. He couldn't help but stop in his tracks at what he saw sitting there.
Backed into the spot next to them was the Ford GT. Because of its smaller size and stature, he didn't see it because it was blocked by their SUV.
Cameron looked at John with a serious look on her face. She gave him a few choices before. She wanted to verify which one he would want to do now since there was another option available.
"We can do the arcade and rides on the pier, or drive this." Cameron said. "It's your choice."
She thought about giving him a third choice and remind him the seats folded down in the back of the SUV. She was actually a little worried as to which machine he would choose. She didn't want it on her chip if it wasn't her. His excitement level was very elevated, and it wasn't currently directed at her.
John was sure his mouth hung open a little bit. To him there was no choice. He wanted to drive the GT.
"I want to drive this." John said. "I want to drive this hot car. I want to be inside of it and feel it respond. It's a clean machine."
It's what Cameron was worried about. John's statement sounded very sexual. She thought about the exhaust pipe again. There was more than one on the vehicle.
Bob got out of the GT.
"It's a tight fit for me." Bob said. "I would be physically unable to fit into an original GT-40. The SUV is more to my liking for size."
Bob was aware one of the original drivers of the GT-40 was taller than the others. There actually needed to be a little dome for the top of his helmet to clear the roof of the vehicle.
John thought about Cameron's previous statement where she said if it wasn't tight, it wasn't right.
Cameron looked around. It was a little different from her plan. There were some modifications to it by someone. It troubled her a little. She wanted to find out why.
"I thought Jim was going to bring the GT." Cameron said. "It was the plan."
Bob spoke with a little frown.
"The plan changed." Bob said. "Jim was going to, but he was worried the police would stop him if they saw him driving it."
Cameron tilted her head slightly. She instantly understood what he meant. Originally Jim used to follow behind Sarah when she did her morning run. It produced a number of 911 calls because of what people thought could happen. Sarah asked Jim to run next to her any time he was out with her instead. Sometimes when they encountered other questionable individuals, Sarah would momentarily hold his hand to show they were together.
"I didn't think of it." Cameron said. "It wouldn't have ended well for the police if they would start to beat him with nightsticks. He would be justified in responding with Terminator force if they did. Individuals who judge people on the color of their skin, rather than the content of their character, would deserve what they got in an unprovoked physical altercation."
John understood the undertone of the reasoning. There was some profiling in the past by some of the local police departments. It angered him some. He agreed with Cameron and her assessment one hundred percent.
"You shouldn't have to think about it." John said. "Nobody should."
Cameron didn't want John's mind to wander. It was time to quickly refocus his thoughts. A couple of hot machines should do it for him.
"Now you can open my door." Cameron said.
John started to walk to the passenger's side.
Cameron remained on the driver's side.
John looked a little disappointed. He quickly realized he would be the passenger.
Cameron thought a reference to what transpired on the beach earlier would make John feel less depressed.
"You got to 'drive' just awhile ago." Cameron said and giggled.
Bob looked at John.
John tried to suppress a smile. He didn't say anything . He walked back and opened the driver's door for Cameron.
"Thank you." Cameron said.
John walked back and got in on the passenger's side.
Bob left in the SUV.
Cameron looked at John very seriously.
"I want to give you some tips and instructions on how to drive this vehicle first, John." Cameron said. "I want us to be safe."
John felt a little miffed.
"I know how to drive." John said.
Cameron touched John's cheek and smiled.
"You will." Cameron said. "Buckle up. It is a five point harness system."
John looked a little confused. Maybe he did need to pay attention.
"Watch me." Cameron said as she buckled up.
John watched Cameron secure the harness. Now he felt a little worried.
"Are we going to need it?" John asked.
Cameron tilted her head slightly. She wondered why John was confused.
"Yes. It will be necessary while I'm driving." Cameron said. "I want you to remain in your seat and not all over the interior of the car. Maybe I should have asked for them to bring a helmet for you."
Cameron looked around to see if there was a motorcycle in the parking lot. Sometimes the rider left the helmet on the motorcycle. She would 'borrow' it if it was the case. None were spotted.
John swallowed hard. He realized this wasn't a Sunday drive. It was clear now Cameron was concerned for his safety. It was dark out as well. He knew it always increased the danger level. It made it harder for him to see things. He knew Cameron possessed an advantage in the darkness he lacked. It was time to put his false pride away and pay attention to what Cameron told him.
"OK, tell me everything." John said. "I don't want to blow it."
Cameron went over everything and gave John a few tips.
She reached down and started the GT. There was a thunderous roar.
Cameron saw John smile.
"I'll start out slow." Cameron said. "Remember it on the 'first time'. It takes a short while for everyone to get acclimated to something new."
Cameron looked over at John.
John knew she referred to something else. Savannah said it to him the times they almost shared. He understood the reasoning behind it. Things weren't used to being stretched down there. She told him it would be okay in a few seconds. He felt 'Little Willie' stir in his pants at the thought of claiming Savannah's virginity. He really wanted it bad. He wanted Young Allison's as well. He wanted to be the 'first' for both of them.
Cameron looked at John with a smile on her face. She was aware of what she made him think about. It was her mission after all. It wasn't completed yet.
She eased out of the parking lot and headed north on PCH. The signal at the intersection made it a lot simpler for them to get out onto the main highway.
John could see everyone look at them. They looked at the car anyway. They were pretty hard to see with the tinted windows. The GT gave off a deep throated 'muscle car' sound. He was pretty sure the exhaust system was modified. Maybe it wasn't and it's just how this vehicle sounded. It was a high performance vehicle after all. The engine was right in back of them.
Cameron looked over at John and smiled again.
John thought he saw Cameron communicate with CamNet at one point.
There was a mild amount of traffic on PCH as they headed northbound. Cameron didn't push anything and followed all of the traffic rules.
John noticed they approached Topanga Canyon Boulevard where it intersected PCH.
He knew Topanga Canyon was very curvy from PCH into the Valley. He thought it would be a fun ride. It was the route he suggested earlier to Cameron. They were already on the 405 at the time. It would have been a major detour.
"Are we going to take Topanga?" John asked.
Cameron looked over as they crossed the intersection and frowned. She decided to use the alternate name for the particular canyon road.
"No." Cameron said as she passed it. "I don't care for State Route 27."
Cameron always thought of the Skynet installations in Topanga Canyon from her future. Nothing good ever happened there.
John wondered if he was going to get some wheel time in or not. So far Cameron hadn't even exceeded the speed limit or the flow of traffic. He wanted to comment on it but decided not to. He didn't want to issue anything which seemed like a challenge to her.
She continued up PCH through Malibu. They drove past Malibu Canyon Road. She continued north along PCH.
"There's Paradise Cove." Cameron said as they passed a street off of PCH. "We can go there next time. There is another good seafood restaurant at the end of the road right up against the beach."
Cameron didn't like the parking fee charged at the establishment either. She felt if someone ate at the restaurant, the parking should be free. It was the same way at the other location they just left as well. It was just another way to make money. She understood the purpose of any business was to make money for those who owned or controlled it. They needed to make a profit. In turn they hired workers and paid them. They also acquired goods, or even services, from other businesses. They all needed to make a profit and hire employees as well.
John was familiar with the restaurant Cameron indicated. He only ever visited Paradise Cove once before. It was very secluded. He did like the idea of going there. He wondered if Cameron would suggest he take Savannah there sometime. If she did, he would. There was a lot of secluded beach front in the area as well. It wasn't out in the open like where they were earlier. He still found it hard to believe they actually did it. It was a total thrill and rush. The lovemaking with Cameron was great too.
"I'm in." John said.
Cameron quickly looked over at John. She liked his phraseology.
"You'll get another chance." Cameron said with a smile.
It sounded even better to John. He felt 'Little Willy' stir some more in his pants.
They passed Kanan Dume Road and continued north on PCH.
John was aware they passed all the major routes back toward the Valley area. Topanga was the only direct one. Maybe they were going to come in the back way through Camarillo. It would basically keep them on flat land.
"Are we going to stay on PCH until Point Mugu?" John asked.
Cameron downshifted and the GT rapidly decelerated.
"No." Cameron said.
There was a work truck with flashing lights up ahead. It blocked off the intersecting street.
"Hey, there's Jim." John said.
Jim gave them a 'thumbs up'. He moved two pylons and Cameron passed through. Jim replaced the cones behind them.
John wondered what was going on. He looked over and read the street sign.
"This is Mulholland Highway." John said.
Cameron stopped and turned off her lights. She reached over and checked John safety equipment. She received some updated information in her com. It was what she wanted to know.
"The street is blocked at both ends and it is clear in between." Cameron said. "Remember to breathe."
She placed Terminators at both ends of the street. It meant no one should be on the road unless they came off of some dirt road somewhere along the way. There was always a chance of it, even if it was highly unlikely.
John wondered why the lights were off on the GT. It looked like Cameron was ready to drive.
"Aren't you going to use your lights?" John asked. "Can you see?"
Cameron tilted her head slightly. She hadn't planned to use them.
"I see everything." Cameron said. "I guess I can turn them on so you know which way to lean."
She didn't want to injure John's neck as she did some of the maneuvers.
John felt a rush of adrenaline. He was ready to go.
"Tach it up…." John said.
Cameron kicked up the RPM and dumped the clutch. The GT took off like a rocket up the twisty mountain road.
Ally-Anna looked at the food selections available. There were a lot of choices inside of the theater, few of them seemed as if they would be good choices. She wasn't impressed. The food the girls looked at was of negligible nutritional value.
The girls hit the snack bar and loaded up with everything. They got some hot dogs, tacos, popcorn, soda, and candy.
Anna-Ally wasn't used to anything like this. It was quite a spread of food for her. She didn't often go out with the non Metal girls to do anything. Her interaction with them was usually sex. The only spread she was used to was between their legs.
"This is all really fun so far." Anna-Ally said.
Young Allison wanted Anna-Ally to have a good time. She wanted to play with her a little bit as well.
"It's the whole point." Young Allison said. "When you can't do big girl stuff, you have fun instead."
Anna-Ally tilted her head slightly. She thought sharing with the girls was fun. It was clear there were multiple types of things which could be considered fun.
Savannah knew she was going to have to keep an eye on Anna-Ally. She thought Young Allison was being a little too forward with her.
Ally-Anna didn't care for what was happening. She felt jealous. It was her sheath and chassis Young Allison was hitting on. She wasn't in it right now.
"I'll handle her." Ally-Anna said. "I don't want her to 'try out' my chassis."
Savannah understood exactly what it meant. She didn't want it either.
"Thanks." Savannah said. "I would prefer you were the one in it, if the event were to occur."
They started on the hot dogs and drank some soda.
Anna-Ally looked at the food on the tray.
"You know what this looks like." Anna-Ally said as she pulled a hot dog out a ways from the bun.
Young Allison giggled.
Ally-Anna didn't like the reference Anna-Ally made. She wanted to tone down the banter. She wanted to issue a warning to all of them.
"It looks like a sandwich with a tubular piece of meat." Ally-Anna said. "Don't push it."
Anna-Ally ignored Ally-Anna and continued to joke with Young Allison.
"Let me show you how to handle it." Anna-Ally said.
Young Allison wrinkled her nose a little. She saw enough of it on the internet. Her ever increasing desires sought a different path.
"It's not my choice." Young Allison said. "It's not my desire in any way."
Young Allison looked at Savannah.
"I would rather try a taco." Young Allison said. "I find everything inside of it fascinating."
Anna-Ally waved her hand in front of her sheath to indicate herself.
"Now you're talking." Anna-Ally said. "I know where one is at. It's fresh too."
Young Allison giggled.
Ally-Anna didn't care for the events unfolding at all. The conversation was completely sexual at this point, even if the reference was food.
"Watch it." Ally-Anna said.
Savannah tried not to laugh at the whole exchange. She didn't want to make a big deal out of it.
"Let's try to keep it civil. We're in a public place. It's enough joking for now." Savannah said. "Let's go take our theater seats."
The girls headed into the theater and took their assigned seats.
Anna-Ally and Ally-Anna tried a small taste of everything.
Multiple warnings popped up on their HUD,
"Skynet won't have to wipe out mankind." Anna-Ally said. "This food will do it for them."
Savannah was just glad she was able to sit down and eat for a change. She was usually on the move. She did try to eat healthy when she could. It wasn't always possible.
"It's nice to change things up a little bit every now and then." Savannah said. "It won't hurt much if you eat food like this sometimes. It just can't be all of the time."
Anna-Ally had her eye on Young Allison. She liked the comment about changing things up a little. She was ready for it.
"I'll say." Anna-Ally said as she looked at Young Allison.
Anna-Ally reached over and touched Young Allison's knee.
Young Allison felt 'goose bumps' at the gesture. She wanted more. She squirmed a little bit in her seat.
Ally-Anna didn't like what she saw.
"Watch it." Ally-Anna said.
Anna-Ally could see Ally-Anna was serious.
"Relax." Anna-Ally said. "I was just fooling about. You're as big a stiff as Cameron."
Ally-Anna took it as a compliment.
"Thanks…." Ally-Anna said.
It wasn't how Anna-Ally intended it to be.
"Killjoy…." Anna-Ally
Young Allison giggled.
The previews for the upcoming movies showed and then the movie started.
Savannah and Ally-Anna were both going to keep an eye on Anna-Ally. It was clear Young Allison enjoyed the attention.
It was like the attention CamNet gave her before. The difference was, here she could actually touch someone, and they could touch her back.
Savannah knew what it was like to be touched and to be able to touch. Maybe it was time for her to act. She still didn't think so. She did understand what Young Allison wanted. How could she blame her? She wanted the same things.
Cameron was behind the wheel of the Ford GT. It rocketed along the twisty mountain road.
It was a ride John never expected.
John found himself gripping the seat and bracing himself through the never ending turns. He did need to remember to breathe a few times. The ride was as terrifying as it was exhilarating. He realized they were literally one missed turn away from death on multiple occasions. He had extreme confidence in Cameron. If he was with anyone else, he would tell them to stop the car. He would rather walk at this point. He didn't care if it was the middle of nowhere in the dead of night. There weren't too many wild cats in the Santa Monica Mountains. Wait. It wouldn't be his biggest fear. He would need to worry about humans more. Any humans who were out in this area at this time would be trouble. He would rather face a mountain lion than some of them.
The road was an endless series of curves. Most of them were uphill, some were downhill. It was a ride quite unlike any other he ever experienced.
Cameron glanced at John between the shifts. She could see he was on 'pins and needles'. She decided to have some fun.
"I can drive it blindfolded if you want me to." Cameron said. "You can hold your hands over my eyes."
John quickly looked at her and then back to the road. His mouth was a little dry and it was hard to swallow.
"No." John said.
The ride was on the edge between being a thrill and sheer terror.
John heard Cameron downshift and she slowed. She stopped with a heavy break application. She turned out the lights.
He wondered if there was something wrong at first.
John looked around. It was total darkness around them. It looked like they were in the middle of nowhere. There was only the moon to watch them.
Cameron looked over at John and smiled.
"It's your turn." Cameron said as she shut the GT off.
John needed a few moments to collect himself. He noticed there was a mild shake to his hands. He actually felt a little weak.
"I'm not sure I can still walk." John said.
Cameron hopped out and came around to John's side. There were other things they could do until he was able to collect himself.
"We could always stargaze. It's very dark in this location. If it wasn't for the full moon, you would be able to see even more stars." Cameron said.
John looked up at the stars. He was actually aroused at the closeness Cameron was to him.
Cameron did a visual thermal scan of John and saw 'Little Willie' stir. An idea popped into her head.
"Do you want to try to drop it to nine hundred and eighty seven?" Cameron asked.
John looked down at his waist.
"I don't think I can." John said.
Cameron knew a few ways around it. There was no reason she couldn't take over.
"I can still get you there." Cameron said.
Cameron knelt down next to John. It was clear what she was going to do as she moved her head closer to his waist. He was ready for it.
"Start me up again." John said.
Cameron was aware of what the end result was going to be. It pleased her to think of it.
"It will only take a minute." Cameron said.
Cameron brushed her hair back to one side and leaned forward.
John leaned back a little and sucked in his breath slightly.
Cameron lifted her head briefly.
"This is just for you." Cameron said.
John briefly watched Cameron as she started in. He leaned his head back and closed his eyes after he took one last look at the stars. He knew he was going to see stars of his own. It was clear there was more than one route to heaven.
Once the movie was over the girls headed out.
"I think it was a cool movie." Young Allison said.
Savannah liked it as well. She hadn't been to a theater in a long time.
"I thought it was." Savannah said.
Young Allison looked at the Metal girls.
"You two should work on getting your chassis to fly." Young Allison said.
Anna-Ally didn't see how it would be possible.
"Our armor is on the inside." Anna-Ally said.
Young Allison looked at Anna-Ally with her big doe eyes.
"Your beauty is on the outside." Young Allison said.
Savannah didn't like the gist of the conversation. She wanted to remind Young Allison about how beauty should be viewed.
"It's on the inside as well." Savannah added. "It is where the true beauty lies in every individual."
Ally-Anna didn't like the chemistry between Young Allison and Anna-Ally, especially in her chassis. Maybe the chassis swap wasn't such a good idea after all. She didn't like the way Young Allison responded to Anna-Ally. She was sure it was because of her current appearance. Anna-Ally's current appearance was her appearance.
"We can switch chips back." Ally-Anna said.
Anna-Ally smiled at Anna-Ally. She knew what she wanted and it was clearly available.
"Not until I break this chassis in." Anna-Ally said as she looked at Young Allison. "Both of them…."
Savannah wanted to put the breaks on this conversation.
"It won't be happening." Savannah said. "I want everyone to chill out."
Savannah and Ally-Anna were both glad Sheila wasn't there and made the same bet earlier. She would be much harder to control and contain.
It was clear Young Allison was ripe for the taking.
Closing monologue by Cameron:
Start Me Up Again
One may feel motivation
From where does it flow
When a path is revealed
Does one turn away or go
Is the path crooked
Is the path straight
If it leads anywhere
Will it stop at a gate
When that gate is reached
What does one do next
If that gate is opened
Things may become very complex
Things may go smoothly
It lasts only so long
One will soon wonder
Where they really belong
Maybe things will happen
One may have found their Zen
It's time to make things happen
Start me up again
Nobody
