Chapter 1079
All Juiced Up
Derek watched Riley change. It always excited him to see her naked. Even when she was pregnant he thought she was beautiful. He looked forward to when her sexual desire would return. He was ready for the 'real thing' again and hoped to retire 'Rosie Palm' soon. He knew there was a possibility her sexual desires might not return. He checked into things on the internet and saw it was the case with some females after they gave birth. It's like they were 'done', Game Over.
He avoided Jesse and Sheila as much as possible. He was afraid he would stray. Thoughts of the old times died hard. Whenever he saw Jesse or Sheila, other things were 'hard'.
As strange as it seemed, he could never get over the fact Sheila looked identical to Jesse. It wasn't the case anymore when it came to breast size. Sheila was still like Jesse used to be and sporting nipple rings. Jesse now possessed much larger nursing breasts. He couldn't help but look at either one of them whatever he saw them. He would first glance at their face and then his eyes would inevitably end up on their breasts. Sheila was never shy to give him a look at one with a slight movement of her body and her loose fitting top. She was never in a hurry to tuck it back inside either. If anything she seemed to expose it even more before she returned everything to its proper place.
Riley looked over Derek. She always felt a little embarrassed about the way she looked. It was how she felt before her pregnancy, during her pregnancy, and after her pregnancy. It only seemed to get worse. She was always a little self conscious about the way she looked. She was always very happy Derek never said anything about her appearance in a negative way. He only ever complimented her and told her she was beautiful. She didn't know if he really meant it or not, but she always was very pleased to hear him say it. Maybe the fact he never did say anything negative about her appearance was the proof he actually meant it.
She never felt her build was very slim, even when there was little to eat. She always seemed to take on a heavier appearance than the others her age. She also seemed to grow quite large 'up top' relatively quickly. She was sure it was because the rest of her body was well filled out as well. She soon found out it made her a target. She tried to stay as covered, dirty, and unkempt as possible so she didn't attract anyone's attention. If she ever did, they would be 'on top of her' before the night was done. She didn't want to think about the past, the future. The present was frustrating enough.
"I need to lose some weight." Riley said, and she indicated her figure. "You deserve better than this."
Derek realized Riley caught him staring at her. He didn't want her to feel bad. He knew it was all part of the process of nature. It was something all females went through. It was just to different degrees. He didn't want her to worry about it. There seemed to be enough difficulty in her life right now. He didn't want to add to it.
"You look fine just the way you are." Derek said. "You don't need to change anything about your appearance, especially for me."
Riley knew what life was like in the Wastelands. There were a lot of people who looked worse than she did. They were scarred by battle. Some of them suffered terrible burns. Some escaped from work camps. Others were once held by Scavengers. Compared to those individuals, his statement might be correct. There was only one problem, even if it was a good thing, they weren't in the Wastelands anymore.
"Thank you." Riley said. "I think you're just saying it because of where we came from. We could die at any moment without any notice in the Wastelands."
She quickly realized they could die at any moment where they were as well since they faced the same enemy, even if the conditions were slightly different. The end result would still be the same.
Derek understood what Riley meant. Friendship and love could come and go very quickly in the Wastelands. The only guarantee was death. It wasn't anything to look forward to, but it was an inevitability. He needed to thank Mrs. Weaver for sending his brother and him back to the past, the present. There was no doubt in his mind he would be dead right now if he would have remained in his future. She was able to turn the tide of battle against Skynet with her force of Restorators. That was then. This was now.
"It may be true in the past, our future, but it doesn't apply to now." Derek said. "Right now we still hold the upper hand, even if sometimes it seems questionable."
Riley pressed down on her stomach several times. She didn't like how far she could depress it. As soon as she let go, it would rise back up several inches.
"I'm still going to work on it." Riley said. "I should look better for you."
She knew she should look better for herself as well.
Derek noticed what Riley did. He didn't want her to think about herself in such a way. It wasn't how he saw her. He went over to Riley and embraced her. He wanted to show her he cared. They may have received some assistance from Cameron and a few doctors, nonetheless, he was teamed up with a female who could reproduce. It was a rarity in the past, the future. It looked like they needed some additional help still.
"What time are you going to go to the doctor?" Derek asked.
Riley looked over at the clock.
"We're leaving in fifteen minutes. Jesse is coming with me." Riley said. "We'll have several Terminator chaperones. Cameron wants Precious to remain here at the base."
Derek wanted to show his support and 'pull his weight'. He wanted to be considered a 'good father'. He wanted to be a 'good father'.
"I don't need to go on the recon, Kyle can take it." Derek said. "I can stay and take care of Precious."
Riley already made arrangements with the other girls.
"Vanna and Allison are going to do it. Cam will be there with them. Claire and Sarah are both available." Riley said. "Jan and Summer want to help too. They all want to help. I think it's something special for them."
Derek was thankful for all the assistance. He wasn't sure how things would have played out if they would have remained in the future they left from. Most likely things would have ended terribly for Precious if there would be no one to nurse her properly.
He remembered when Allison drug Vanna out of the burn pile for the dead. He remembered when Jesse was a stone cold killer who would do terrible things to people she let live. Now both of them tended to his daughter and he was eternally grateful to both of them. He felt he helped both of them in different ways. Now they returned the favor in the most special way possible.
"Sometimes it's nice to have help." Derek said. "This is one of them."
Riley wondered where Derek was off to and how dangerous it was. Maybe it was better not to know. She still worried no matter what the situation was.
"Where are you going?" Riley asked.
Derek didn't want Riley to worry and downplayed it some. He was more than aware a recon could turn into combat at any time.
"Cameron has something planned for me." Derek said. "I think it's some low key recon. I don't need any extra weapons. I already asked her."
Riley wanted Derek to play it cool. She wanted to give him a reminder as well
"Just stay safe and let the Terminator lead." Riley said. "They're there to help you. When they help you they help us, all three of us."
Derek nodded. He didn't want to argue over it.
"Is Gail going with Jesse and you?" Derek asked.
Riley could only go by what Samantha told her.
"No. Holly and Samantha are." Riley said. "Jim is too."
Derek was a little surprised. He most often went out with Jim.
"Maybe I'm going with Bob then." Derek said.
Samantha indicated to Riley it would be a different arrangement
"Jesse said Gail was going with you." Riley said.
Derek was more than a little surprised.
"Really?" Derek asked.
Riley was pretty sure Derek would like his recon partner. When he wasn't busy looking at the target, she was sure he would be busy checking out her massive breasts. She really couldn't blame him. She did every chance she could get to do exactly the same thing. They were very impressive.
She remembered the time Gail and Holly removed their tops and were arguing about who was better looking and they asked her for her opinion. She took the opportunity to show them her breasts at the same time. She told them everyone was different. No two people were the same 'on top', or 'down below'. They were in the process of comparing the 'down below' part when she quietly slipped away.
"Really." Riley said.
There was a knock at the door from the nursery.
Samantha, who was in the bedroom with Precious, was already headed towards it when the knock came.
She opened the door. Vanna and Allison were already there. Cam and Holly were there as well.
They all exchanged pleasantries.
"Precious is asleep." Riley said as she glanced towards her room.
Vanna wasn't sure how much privacy to give them.
"We can wait here until she wakes up if you don't mind." Vanna said.
Derek didn't think it was necessary at all.
"Our home is your home." Derek said. "We're all like family anyway."
Vanna and Allison went and checked on Precious.
Allison could see Vanna's face light up when she checked Precious out. She sure hoped for the same level of help when she delivered her baby, if she did. She still didn't know how far the current pregnancy would go. None of the other ones ever went past the first trimester. She figured this one would be no different. The thought still terrified her. She knew she would need Vanna and her mother to help her. Young Allison even said she could 'take over' for her and all she would need to do was nurse the infant until Cameron got Young Allison some hormone treatments so she could take over the process too. She knew it was possible for Young Allison to be able to nurse because she saw it in the future. She didn't want to think about any of it right now. They went back into the main room.
There was a knock at the front door. Derek opened it and Jesse and Gail walked in.
Everyone pared up and headed out.
Derek checked Gail out as they headed for the car pool.
'Man, she has a set of jugs.' Derek thought.
He figured maybe he should think about what they were going off to do. He wanted to be in the right mindset in case the recon went hot. He hoped Gail knew what it was. He was usually given some intel to look over before he went to do the recon. So far he hadn't been provided with anything.
"Do you know what our assignment is?" Derek asked.
Gail was aware of the exact location. She wasn't supposed to divulge it until they were closer.
"It's in Van Nuys near the airport." Gail said. "It's supposed to be a soft recon."
Derek wondered which group Cameron was after.
"Is it related to the Fanatics?" Derek asked.
Gail thought it was always something in question until they actually encountered the group. The Fanatics were still Grays. It was the way they viewed their version of Skynet which seemed to create a bigger problem. They viewed SkyMaster as their god. They would rather self terminate than do anything to harm SkyMaster. She knew for the assignment today it was most likely not going to be the case.
"No." Gail said.
Derek knew Gail was never big on small talk. She only seemed happy when she was around the girls, especially Savannah. The rest of the time it looked like she wanted to kill somebody. He needed to remind himself it was what Terminators were constructed for.
Wait.
He remembered Gail was constructed as a Restorator by Mrs. Weaver in his future. She was never a Terminator. He actually thought it was a good thing. There wouldn't be any reason for her to revert to some form of her previous programming like a Terminator could he was once an operative of Skynet. Sometimes they went bad. Nobody knew why.
His favorite Metal girl was Holly. Her breasts weren't quite as large as Gail's were, but she was much more personable to be around. He wasn't sure if it was because of whom she was 'assigned' to as opposed to who Gail was 'assigned' to. He wasn't even sure 'assigned' was the right word at this point. Gail and Holly were clearly lovers of Jesse and Allison. Holly was normally around Allison, Young Allison, Summer, and Claire. Gail was normally around Jesse. He knew everything related to Jesse was all based on sex. He understood why. It was her 'escape' from the Hell they lived in. He knew Gail was with the other girls sometimes, both cyborg and human. It was all sex based as well.
They headed out. He was very familiar with the area. When a recon was over, if they were in the vicinity, he would drop by the viewing area of the airport and watch some of the planes take off and land. There were some private jets and a lot of small private aircraft. He noted there was a very big variation of the different types of smaller craft. There was another company on the west side of the airport which seemed to specialize in executive jets. There was one big one. It was a 727 airliner converted into a private executive jet. He thought if someone was going to have a private jet, it was the one to have. He liked how it had its own built in stairway. It came down at the rear of the aircraft. It wasn't low to the ground at all like some of the smaller private jets were because it was an airliner, it sat much higher.
It wasn't too long before they were in the vicinity of the airport. He knew he needed to start to pay better attention. They weren't at the recon site yet, but there could always be trouble on the way there. They certainly didn't want to be 'made' before they arrived.
It was shortly thereafter Derek received a pleasant surprise.
A Fire Department helicopter flew low overhead. It was one of the ones used to drop water on a fire. There were a number of them based out of Van Nuys Airport as well as a few with a private company. One of them was a Sky Crane. It could carry a very large water tank. Sometimes there were a couple of 'Super Scooper' twin engine aircraft which were amphibious. They could land on the water or use a runway.
"I love the sound." Derek said. "I really like to see the aircraft up close."
Gail tilted her head slightly. She wondered about it. Derek seemed to 'love' machines which weren't cyborgs. It made no sense to her. They were tools to accomplish a task unlike Terminators who could interact with humans and do a lot of different things. She was told he didn't like Terminators at first. He seemed well adapted now.
She wondered if he saw any difference between Holly and her as opposed to the rest of the Terminators. They were both Restorators. They were never under the rule of Skynet. They never killed humans in the Resistance. It was unknown what the other Skynet chassis which were captured were responsible for. She felt Holly and her were unique. Steve and Tom were created as Restorators as well, unfortunately they didn't have female attributes, or female infiltration programming.
"We're early." Gail said. "We can check out the airport for a few minutes. I can hear a lot of aircraft moving around. Unless you just want to park and wait somewhere else."
Gail hoped it didn't sound like a loaded question to Derek. It wasn't intended to be. She didn't plan to 'be with' him, even if he wanted it. Jesse always told her Derek was a 'good guy'. So was his brother Kyle. Jesse told her what most males were like in the future she came from. She didn't want her mind to go there right now. They were at the airport.
Derek was thrilled with the idea. He could get some airport time in before the mission instead of needing to wait until it was finished. He also needed to remember his duty and responsibility. He wanted to make sure the team came first.
"As long as it doesn't mess up the mission." Derek said. "It always needs to be work before pleasure, especially if it's Skynet related. I need to make sure everyone is covered."
Gail almost said 'affirmative' but caught herself. Cameron and Savannah always told her to choose more appropriate words. She thought 'affirmative' was the most appropriate response. She thought it very conclusively provided an answer.
"Roger." Gail said. "Everything is currently covered and under control."
She knew it was a term Derek used.
Gail pulled up to a gate on the east side of the airport. She entered a code and the gate opened.
Derek knew where they were at. It was hard for him to believe his eyes.
"No way." Derek said.
Gail was pleased at Derek's response.
"Surprise." Gail said with a big smile.
Derek saw how beautiful Gail could look. With her 'rack' and her smile, she was a total knockout.
There was something else at the airport which was almost as beautiful to him.
John Henry checked everything like always. Sheila's body cam disrupted him. She wore it like a necklace inside of her loose fitting top. It seemed she made it bounce around so he was able to see both breasts with their jewelry frequently. It was only one at a time and he needed to determine if it was the left one or the right one. Sometimes it was hard to tell. He was sure she did it on purpose to make him guess.
He saw her face close up and she smiled and blew him a kiss. The camera feed went dark and then it was in 'night vision mode'. He wondered what he was looking at for a few seconds. He realized Sheila must have put the body cam inside her underwear. Now he received a point blank view as she walked. He wondered what she was doing. Every now and then he was able to get a 'better view'. He didn't think Sheila needed to 'sell' herself anymore to him. He was ready to experiment and give it a try. He didn't know if he would be deactivated or not, but it didn't really seem to matter. He wanted to do more. He wanted to see what it was like to be with another individual.
"…is Cameron at?" John asked.
John Henry realized he was totally distracted watching Sheila's antics. She was really disrupting his thought process. His AI self 'JH' needed to intervene several times already. CamNet also stepped in a few times. They didn't want to bother him since he was so enthralled with what he viewed.
"What?" John Henry asked.
John wondered if he needed to start to worry about John Henry having some kind of a problem. He already experienced the type of problem several times in a row recently.
"You seem confused or distracted lately." John said. "It reminds me of Cameron before she blanks out."
John briefly pictured what it would be like. He wondered who John Henry would think he was if he experienced an episode like Cameron did. Cameron always thought she was Allison - Future Allison. He didn't know who John Henry would think he was. Maybe he would think he was a chess player of some type. He wondered if he would pick one of the Masters and use their name. He actually wondered if he would seek out a chess competition to be able to play someone. He needed to concentrate on what they were doing.
A strange idea hit him. What if he called himself the 'Turk'? It was the original name given to his program by Andy Goode. He didn't think it would draw anymore looks than someone named John Henry would.
John Henry wondered about what John just said. He didn't know if it could happen to him. What if he thought he was George Laszlo the actor and tried to act human? If the police picked him up, he would be in trouble. He hoped his AI self 'JH' or CamNet would look after him. He was actually pleased George Laszlo was terminated. The authorities would no longer look for him and it was doubtful anyone would recognize him. He would simply tell them he possessed a 'common face'. The case was closed.
He wanted to cover his tracks and wandering thoughts.
"I was working on a complex problem." John Henry said. "I thought I might be able to break River's encryption. It's very complicated."
John hoped it was true. It would allow their TDE to be able to function into the past. In its current configuration, it could only function into the future. He was aware it was put there as a safeguard by River to prevent Cameron from going back and meddling in the past. Unfortunately Cameron was able to circumvent it by constructing her own TDE as well as her own base. She created her own supercomputer and possessed her private army of Terminators. It was another thing he didn't want to think about. It always seemed like the recipe for 'Skynet' to him. He hoped John Henry would be successful in his endeavor.
"Can you?" John asked. "I know it's been tried many times, even continuously in the background."
John Henry hadn't worked on the problem at all. He left it up to 'JH'.
"No." John Henry said. "It was another failed attempt."
John's hopes were dashed a little bit.
"Maybe next time will be the one." John said.
John Henry strongly doubted it. The encryption was impossible to break. There was no need to point it out again.
"Maybe…." John Henry said.
John wondered exactly what Cameron was up to. He would try a subtle approach to see if John Henry knew.
"Is Cameron doing anything else today?" John asked.
John Henry didn't have any specific information to exactly what they were going to do other than take Young Allison back to Palmdale.
"It's unknown." John Henry said. "We usually only find out about it after she's done it."
John didn't need to be reminded about it. It irritated him to no end Cameron would do things on her own and maybe even get shot up and no one knew where she was off to, or what she was going to do. He wondered if maybe she was off to 'Sin City'.
"What about the operation in Las Vegas?" John asked.
John Henry tilted his head slightly. He'd already gone over it with John.
"I gave you the report earlier." John Henry said. "Nothing's changed."
John wondered how accurate it was, or what the actual source was.
"Is it your findings or what CamNet reported?" John asked.
John Henry understood the nature of John's question. He didn't think it was a good path to pursue.
"Both of us monitor everything." John Henry said.
John wanted to do more when he was there before. Maybe he should try again.
"Perhaps I'll need to go there again." John said.
It sounded like a bad idea to John Henry.
"It would be highly inadvisable." John Henry said. "You will endanger Savannah and Young Allison if you do."
John figured Cameron would send everyone to protect him. It wasn't what he wanted. It compromised everyone else. What did he really want to go there for?
"I understand. Cameron will send all the help to me again." John said. "Cameron should think about the others as well."
John Henry wondered why John was always confused about the subject. It was the same thing every time, for the exact same reasons. Cameron told him she couldn't let anything happen to John.
"Yes." John Henry said. "She's only following your directives."
John never liked to hear it. He seemed to agree with very little of what Future John did.
"Those were Future John's directives. Not mine." John said. "I'm not him, even if he was me."
John found it hard to believe everyone thought Future John was a great leader and hero. To John, he seemed like someone everyone should hate. He remembered Cameron told him once she didn't understand why everyone seemed to love her. She thought they all would hate her. Maybe it was the same for Future John. Maybe everyone saw him, how everyone here saw Cameron. Maybe it was the circumstances. He decided everyone would think Cameron was a total Bitch if they didn't know she was a Terminator and there was no Skynet problem or the Resistance.
John Henry was always annoyed. John seemed to forget Future John and him were the same person.
"You - Future John, made all the difference." John Henry said.
John knew the title fell to Cameron in the present. He actually wondered how much of the success in the future should be credited to Cameron. Maybe it wasn't Future John who was the great leader. Maybe it was Cameron at his side who actually was. If she was in the present, why wouldn't she be in the future as well?
"Just like Cameron does now." John said.
John Henry double checked his files. He just told John there was nothing new. It was no longer the case.
"I think I found something…." John Henry said.
A few minutes ago:
Ally looked over at Sheila and wondered what folly she was up to now. She fumbled around inside her pants.
"What are you doing?" Ally asked. "Are you trying to rub one off? We just pleasured each other for hours. I think you've got a problem. Well, I know you've got a problem. I think you've got a bigger new problem."
Sheila looked up at Ally and smiled. Maybe she would rub one off. She couldn't think of any reason not to.
"I put my body cam where the sun doesn't shine." Sheila said.
Ally needed to think about it for a second. There was a disgusted look on her face.
"Oh, brother." Ally said. "You're going to get John Henry deactivated. You'll probably be deactivated as well."
Sheila actually gave it some thought. She doubted John Henry would be deactivated. She figured if anyone would be, it would be her. She didn't know about it either. She did know Cameron wanted to borrow her chassis. It bothered her more than a little bit. She thought the first experience with a male in her chassis should be done by her, not by someone else. Cameron wanted to steal her virginity. If she was with John Henry first, she would be able to experience it, not Cameron. It seemed very selfish to her on Cameron's part. She thought they all had a protector with a strong voice.
"Savannah won't allow it." Sheila said. "Young Allison won't either. The girls will protect us as they would any Terminator regardless of the circumstances or situation."
Ally thought Sheila seemed to have become more reckless, especially since she returned from the past. She was able to do what she wanted with only Cammy with her. There was no one else around to stop her. Evidently a few of those years were spent in Cammy's chassis when they swapped chips. With Cammy's dual chip ports, they could do it by themselves. Cammy told her both times she was deactivated for two weeks before Sheila activated her in former chassis. Cammy told her she thought Sheila made 'modifications' to her own sheath and maybe Cammy's sheath as well since she was in control of it.
Ally knew Sheila 'modified' her sheath before she returned it when they swapped chassis before. She was still upset about it too. She was going to do something she would end up regretting sooner or later.
"I'm warning you not to push Cameron too far." Ally said.
Sheila thought back to the times Cameron almost physically damaged her sheath as 'punishment'. Savannah always stopped Cameron those times. It still left a few questions as to what would happen if Savannah wasn't around.
"Do you know if Cameron punished me in the past on my temporal mission?" Sheila asked.
Ally was still a little miffed Cammy was sent with Sheila instead of her.
"I don't know anything from the past." Ally said. "I wasn't there. It was Cammy you shared all your love with."
Sheila knew she helped Cammy deal with her separation. She knew Cameron did it to 'punish' Cammy and keep her away from Savannah. It kept Cammy away from Savannah for eight years. She thought it was some pretty severe punishment. Luckily for Savannah it was only a few days in the current timeline.
"I didn't have anything to do with the decision. I thought you were going to go with me. Cammy was very lonely without Savannah." Sheila said. "I livened her life up some and gave her some pizzazz."
Ally knew it wasn't the only thing she did.
"You also damaged her sheath, the same way you did mine." Ally said.
Sheila didn't see that as a big deal. It was quite common now. Females paid to have a simple outpatient procedure performed.
"Everything regenerated back the same as they were before. Yours did too." Sheila said. "Women pay good money for the' procedure'."
Ally knew it was a little different in reality. At least most of the time it was.
With the type of talk, Sheila wanted to go and interrogate the prisoner now. She was overly stimulated by all the talk with Ally. She wanted to do the interrogation by herself. She would make her talk. She would also have a little fun along the way.
"Maybe we can go check out the female prisoner." Sheila said.
Ally knew it was a bad idea when she heard It. She felt Sheila was in the wrong mindset to do a proper interrogation.
"Great." Ally said. "Now you're 'all juiced up' about it."
Sheila possessed all of the information in her system. It was one of the things Jesse warned them about.
"Maybe." Sheila said. "I learned it from my 'Neural Interface' files from Jesse. She did it to female Scavengers they caught before she killed them."
Ally remembered there were some exceptions.
"Didn't she let some live?" Ally asked.
Sheila believed Jesse was ahead of her time when it came to the 'total Barbie look'.
"Sometimes she did." Sheila said. "It was a greater punishment."
Sheila also knew Jesse now regretted the 'evil things' she did to others. She was glad she didn't have the same 'hang up' Jesse did. There were no regrets on her part. There was only pleasure as she did them and the desire to do more. She had an adverse reaction to anyone associated with Skynet or a would be Scavengers. They could all expect to pay a heavy price. It didn't matter if they were male or female. Their actions determined their punishment, not her. She simply carried out the sentence they gave themselves.
Earlier:
Young Allison felt a little upset, but not as bad as she thought she would feel. Having Savannah with her was a great comfort. Cameron and Anna were there along with Cammy.
Savannah looked at Young Allison. She looked a little more cheerful than she thought she would. Actually, it was a lot more cheerful.
"I can see you're all juiced up." Savannah said.
Young Allison didn't tell Savannah it was now literally happening elsewhere on her body at times. It seemed to happen on its own with just visual stimulation. It produced a very physical response. The way she felt right now was different.
"I am." Young Allison said.
Savannah wondered which aircraft they were going to use. She hoped Cameron received her A-26 Invader. It was a much hotter plane to fly than the B-25 Mitchell. The main drawback was the front compartment was separated from the rear compartment by the bomb bay. There was no crawl way over the top of it, or a catwalk through it. There was an access panel on both sides of it over the top of the bomb bay doors themselves. She figured she should find out some more before she got ahead of herself.
"What aircraft are we flying in today?" Savannah asked.
Cameron already knew which aircraft they were going to use and why. She wanted everyone to be able to move around and try the different positions.
"It will be the B-25 Mitchell." Cameron said. "The A-26 Invader isn't ready yet and allows less movement of personnel in flight based on its design. While it is possible, I'm not sure it is advisable. My aircraft will have a working bomb bay. It would be different if it was bolted closed. It won't be."
The prospect of being in the Mitchell excited Young Allison. She already got a taste of flying it before.
"Oh, boy." Young Allison said. "I hope I can get some yoke time in."
Cameron wasn't sure how everything was going to play out. She actually hadn't made any plans yet.
"We'll see." Cameron said.
Young Allison went from being somewhat depressed to happy and jubilant again. She knew it was as much the company she was with, as it was the upcoming flight. Life moved forward not backwards. She needed to remember what her goals were and what was promised to her for her future. She looked at Savannah and Cameron and was willing to leave the past behind for her future.
It seemed like Cameron was waiting for something or someone.
"Is anyone else going with us?" Savannah asked.
Cameron wanted to give a surprise to someone. She didn't like surprises herself, but sometimes there was a good surprise. She experienced a few of those herself.
"Yes." Cameron said.
Before Cameron said who it was, they spotted the planes in the hangar.
Young Allison sucked in her breath at the sight of everything. She could see a selection of Resistance aircraft which were all procured by Cameron.
"Look at all this…." Young Allison said. "I've studied the manuals on all of these and watched the instructional videos."
Savannah didn't want Young Allison to get ahead of herself. There were plenty of pilots who 'augured in' who thought they knew it all as well. They didn't. There were a lot of little things to watch out for. A tactic which might work on one aircraft, might not on another.
"Book knowledge and being in the cockpit are still two different things." Savannah said. "These planes are all a handful at first. You always need to remember it."
Young Allison wanted to remind Savannah she spent some time flying the B-25 but didn't. She actually felt she did some aggressive maneuvering in it. She didn't want to be a problem.
"I will." Young Allison said. "I'm not going to endanger anyone."
Cameron wanted everyone to be safe as well. She also wanted to remind them of a few things.
"All of my aircraft will be in better than new condition when they are flown." Cameron said.
Savannah could see they were working on the A-26. The plane had been stripped of its paint down to the aluminum.
"The Invader is really cool looking with the polished skin." Savannah said.
Cameron wasn't sure what the final look of the plane would be. It could be left like it was or it could be painted in several different ways.
"I may paint it black like some were or camouflage it." Cameron said. "It will be restored to A-26A / B-26K specifications. It will allow it to have maximum ground attack capabilities."
Savannah was aware after World War II the B-26 Marauder was retired. The designation of the A-26 Invader was changed to B-26 Invader at the time. She knew it caused a lot of confusion among people with the dual designation and the previous aircraft with the identical designation. The plane was heavily upgraded for the war in Southeast Asia. One of the countries it flew out of didn't allow 'bombers' to be flown out of their nation. The Air Force didn't have a problem with changing the B-26 Invader back to back to its original designation as the A-26 Invader. With the simple letter change, it was no longer a 'bomber' and now an 'attack' aircraft. She thought some of the politics were utterly ridiculous. She really wondered who the people fooled but themselves. Nothing was different in reality. The plane still continued in the same role it was doing previously.
"I always want us to use the A-26 designation." Savannah said. "Let's call the Invader what it was and is. There are very few B-26 Marauders left in the world. Unfortunately, the only regular flying example was destroyed some years ago in a crash."
Young Allison spotted the eight gun nose for the A-26 next to the eighth gun nose for the B-25.
"I hope we can fly in it before you take the glass nose off." Young Allison said.
Cameron was aware the view was fantastic from the nose of the A-26. It was even more open and exposed than the view from the B-25 nose. She would leave the glass nose on for now, but it wasn't what she acquired the planes for. They needed to be ready to fly on Judgment Day. They would fly as fully equipped combat aircraft. None of their flight systems would be affected from all of the EMP activity which would occur.
"I'll install the 'eight gun' nose on both of the aircraft at some point." Cameron said. "Once they're both restored. They will be placed in hillside hangars."
Young Allison pictured herself flying into combat with Savannah.
"I'll pilot one and Savannah will pilot the other." Young Allison said. "When we're called to serve."
Savannah hoped it never came to anything so drastic. She didn't even want to discuss the issue.
"Let's do the preflight." Savannah said. "Let's not get into any 'what if' scenarios either. We'll cross any of those bridges when we come to them."
Young Allison hoped to review the fueling process. It was one of the things which wasn't covered in detail. She wanted to know how to be able to do it. She only watched the tanks get topped up at Cameron's private airfield near Palmdale.
"Do we need to add any fuel?" Young Allison asked.
Cameron kept the tanks on all of her planes topped up. She wanted them ready to fly in a moment's notice.
"Not yet." Cameron said.
Cameron checked with CamNet and all the permits she wanted were in place. She wasn't sure if they would get to use them, but she wanted them in case they did. The funny part of it was CamNet needed to 'create' some of the permits so they could obtain them in the first place. The local municipalities now had permits for things they thought were once banned. They were going to bend and violate a lot of 'old' rules.
She didn't like the old rules. She changed them and made her own rules.
Closing monologue by Cameron:
All Juiced Up
When two are alone
Where will things go
Will they happen fast
Will they happen slow
Maybe one wants more
Than the other wants to give
Does one forge ahead
Will the other ever forgive
Sometimes things escalate
As they began to take
Are they just a fake
Who will hit the brake
Victory is at hand
If one is persistent
They may break through
If they are insistent
When does a pick up
Turn into a hook up
Maybe when the other
Is all juiced up
Nobody
