Chapter 1092

Pointless

John was worried about Cam going in alone like Cameron. It reminded him too much of their recent encounter with the Fanatics. It was a close one for the girls again. Cameron, Cammy and Savannah were almost all terminated when the building exploded. It was a little too close for comfort. He was thankful for the drone which was able to shield them as the building exploded behind them as they drove away.

The last thought made John remember they captured a prisoner who was associated with the incident. He was waiting to hear a progress report. So far none was forthcoming. He figured it probably wasn't a good thing he hadn't heard anything specific. He was sure the prisoner would be treated like all prisoners were in the custody of Terminators. With the new development, he hoped they might be able to get a little additional information.

"I don't think I've heard any intel from the prisoner we captured at the suspected Fanatic's location." John said.

John Henry quickly checked with CamNet. He didn't think John was going to like the answer.

"No information has been released or forwarded." John Henry said. "The detainee was terminated."

John was less than thrilled with the report. He was sure some type of intelligence was gathered. If nothing was relayed to the Command Center, implications were Cameron intended to act on the information herself.

"Beautiful…." John said.

John knew the prisoner would have been interrogated violently 'Terminator style'. In essence, they would be beaten to death. He hoped it was the only thing which happened to them. He was aware they were worse things.

He remembered the way he watched Cameron throw Mr. Ellison around like a rag doll inside of his house. She was going to kill him if he wouldn't have stopped her. Maybe he should have let her. It would have changed the arc in their lives somewhat if he hadn't intervened. He was glad she stopped. He knew she wouldn't have otherwise. Mr. Ellison was a good guy.

He still couldn't help but think if Cromartie's chassis wouldn't have been delivered to Mrs. Weaver's company, John Henry wouldn't have needed Cameron's chip to use in his chassis. They would have recovered the chassis from Mr. Ellison and destroyed it before it ever made it to interface with the Turk.

It was just another reflection where he made the wrong choice when Cameron made the right one. His bad decisions, and there were a lot of them, cost a lot of grief to a lot of people along the way. He did what he believed were the right things at the time. He gave people the benefit of the doubt, and was usually wrong by doing so.

He needed to refocus.

John's worry right now was Cam. He didn't like the way things were shaping up.

"Cam, I don't want you to go inside the building." John said. "We need to know more first."

With Cameron away right now, Cam reminded him too much of Cameron. He still couldn't tell them apart visually. Cam seemed a little more reserved than Cammy. Cameron was actually the most repressed of the three. Cammy was the most outgoing. It was probably from the influence of Savannah. It was the influence Cameron needed. It was clear to him Cameron and he would need Savannah and Young Allison to move forward and reach their fullest potential. It was actually what Cameron always told him.

The 'Natural Order' was to be embraced, not feared. It would be something beautiful for all of them. What if he ended up with Young Allison once she was an older teenager? Maybe this was Cameron's mission and goal all along. She told him before it was. Future John wanted Future Allison. Maybe it was Cameron's job to provide an 'Allison' to a 'John' in any timeline. No matter what happened, Savannah was the 'glue' which would keep all of them together. The 'Natural Order' wouldn't be disrupted.

There were several things John looked forward to. He always wondered if Cam, Cammy, or even Camille, were ever with him and played themselves off as 'Cameron'. He hoped they did, even if he didn't know, because he would have been the first one to 'break them in'. Maybe he was the one who 'popped' all three of them. Maybe it hadn't actually occurred yet. He figured even if it hadn't, it would at some point. When any of them came knocking, he wasn't going to turn them down. He came pretty close with Cammy in Vegas.

He also looked forward to being with the girls, Savannah and Young Allison. He hoped to claim their virginity as well. He didn't plan to be picky about any of them. The next time Cameron put a female in his bed, he was going to make sure he took full advantage of their presence. If Cameron didn't want them there in his bed next to him, she wouldn't have put them there in the first place. It was time to embrace Cameron's goals. They seemed like a pretty good option to him.

What if it was Riley, or even a different version of Riley from another timeline? What would he do then? What if it was Young Riley? He decided he would be with any of them. If they didn't want to be with him, they wouldn't be in his bed. If Cameron didn't want them there, she wouldn't allow them to be there. Even if John Henry wouldn't act on it, CamNet would. Someone would be sent to intervene. Strangely enough, he believed it would be Savannah or Young Allison who showed up to prevent whatever was about to occur from occurring.

Cam didn't want to fool around anymore or waste any more time. She decided to take a closer look at the building. She was at the back of the structure now. Everything was locked. The area around the building was spotless. It was as if someone cleaned out everything. There was none of the usual debris found around industrial buildings, especially abandoned ones. People always left stuff behind when they moved out of a location. Since they were going to be gone, they didn't really care what they left behind. It would be the problem of the next individual to lease or rent the building. The extreme sanitized look of the area alone was a red flag. It was as if someone didn't want to leave a trace of what occurred there.

Maybe being spotless was the lure to make someone take a closer look. Maybe it was the bait to draw them in. If it was, it worked.

They were there now and Cam wanted to enter. She wanted a closer look inside. She wanted to try to determine what was in there.

Now John told her not to enter. It was very irritating.

"The whole point of a recon is to try to determine what's happening." Cam said. "We won't know more until we look. Looking at the outside walls accomplishes nothing."

Cam was aware Cameron held an advantage in not responding to 'orders' from John. She was his wife and it gave John less control over her, not more. John sought the use of Cameron's sheath, at least a small part of it. Its female attributes were very pleasing to John. Cameron did try to give John the option to seek 'female comfort' with others. It would negate the effect of Cameron 'holding back' at times. The option prevented John from complaining about 'not getting any'. At that point, it was his own choice if he didn't.

John's irritating words brought her back to reality. She was very glad she was with Vanna.

"I don't want another building to blow up with you in such close proximity to it." John said. "We recently experienced something similar."

The unsaid part of it was with her inside of it when it blew up.

"I don't think anyone will blow it up yet if it's command detonated. They'll wait for more of us to come closer. It's why I'm here alone." Cam said. "I'm trying to protect the rest of our group, even if it doesn't seem like it to you."

John was persistent.

It seemed to make him even more irritating to Cam.

"I understand." John said. "Don't go inside the building anyway."

Cam was highly agitated now. She wondered how Cameron put up with John all the time. Maybe it was the sex. She tried to unlock some of the files she contained with Cameron and John on them 'together'.

She wanted to see if the screwing you took was worth the screwing you got.

The files were all blocked.

Maybe it was a good thing.

Gail and Sheila pulled up to where Derek and Ally were originally at.

Sheila didn't like the location. It was a long distance from any direct involvement if necessary. She figured it's why the Command Center directed them to go there.

"This spot is too far from any potential action." Sheila said. "We need to move closer."

Gail didn't see it as a problem for the intended mission they were on. There didn't appear to be an imminent attack.

"This is still a recon." Gail said.

It seemed like the auto repair shop they were both at recently. It started to send red flags out.

Sheila was more than a little worried at this point. The more she thought about it, the more it worried her. She understood it was only because of Savannah's prompting why they were able to get out when they did. Savannah wasn't there.

"It reminds me of the last place we were at." Sheila said. "We need to tell Cam to get out."

Now Gail began to worry. Sheila was around more of the building than she was. She was on the backside. Not the front or alongside the building like Sheila and Ally were. Savannah was there to 'order' everyone away. Savannah was currently in Palmdale. There was another who was closer.

"She'll use caution." Gail said. "Maybe we should have Vanna call her. She should listen to her for several reasons."

Sheila doubted it would work at this point. She thought it would cause a lot of stress for Vanna, which would cause a problem with Allison and probably Jesse. Precious might pick up on the distress and experience some herself.

"I don't want to get the base all stirred up if it is nothing." Sheila said. "Let me call someone else."

It was time for a 'pinch hitter'.

Young Allison was thrilled observing Savannah fly the UH-1. It looked totally natural to Savannah.

Savannah told her every move before she did it. She could see it being done and why. She was already familiar with the controls. Watching everything done made it easier to understand. She really didn't think she would have any trouble doing it herself. She hoped to get some time in on the way back from wherever they were actually going. It was to inspect and repair any damage to the drone. She just didn't know what outline area it would be.

Cameron filled in any other information.

Young Allison was surprised to receive a call from Sheila. The call came through from CamNet. She was told only she would receive the information. CamNet sent her additional information as well. There was drone footage of the location and specifically of Cam. She could see right where Cam was headed.

Young Allison was part of the 'Natural Order'. She trusted Cameron and Savannah with everything, including her life.

"I want Cameron and Savannah to hear this as well." Young Allison said.

CamNet made the changes to include them.

Sheila went over what was happening with Cam and the similarity to what went down at the Fanatic's location.

Young Allison thanked Sheila for calling.

Cameron understood why Sheila called Young Allison. She wasn't about to listen to 'herself'. Nobody else would either.

"It's pointless for me to say anything to her." Cameron said. "She won't listen to me. I know. I wouldn't listen to her. I don't even think I listen to myself half the time."

Savannah could have done without the last remark from Cameron. She knew it was true. Cameron did things she knew better than to do, but she still did them anyway. She understood her desire to accomplish a task or complete a mission. It wasn't always the 'right thing'. She also understood sometimes the choice was a 'hard choice'.

Cameron knew she would disregard Cam or Cammy if they tried to tell her anything, or talk her out of something. She felt they should know everything she did, and should understand why she was doing whatever it was she was doing.

Young Allison wanted to step up. She wanted to try it first herself. It was supposed to be her duty in the future to help smooth things over with the Resistance and the Terminators. This seemed like a perfect example. She didn't know what would happen. She wanted some back up going in.

"I'll speak to her first." Young Allison said. "If I fail, then Savannah will take over. I didn't want to disrupt her too much while she was flying."

Cameron wanted to remind Young Allison she held a 'power advantage' over Cam.

"You can always 'order' her away." Cameron said. "Savannah needed to do it several times. It's saved a lot of damage, or even termination, for our Terminators, including me. Both of you were given the ability to help us in the best way possible when we were about to make a wrong choice. Not everyone may agree with you at the time, but everyone knows you will do the 'right thing'. To be able to do the 'right thing' is what matters the most."

Savannah was very hesitant to issue any type of 'orders'. The times she did, she believed it was a matter of life or death. She needed to use the option several times when dealing with the Fanatics or what seemed to be the certain termination of Terminators.

"I've needed to use the option before." Savannah said. "I prevented a lot of damage by doing it too."

Savannah did what she needed to do, when she needed to do it.

Young Allison wanted to connect at a personal level with honesty and truth. She didn't want to have to force someone to do something or not do something. She wanted them to do the 'right thing' on their own accord. She wanted them to make the decision for themselves.

"I'll speak with her first. I don't want to 'order' her unless I have to." Young Allison said. "I'll have CamNet connect me now. She thanked Sheila for becoming involved at the level she did. Sheila did the 'right thing' by reaching out."

Young Allison wanted the reaction from the heart. She wanted what was real. She wanted Cam to think about everything. She knew some people didn't think anything mattered. It allowed them to do whatever they wanted and act as if it was no big deal. She disagreed with the concept and philosophy. She believed everything mattered.

Derek and Kyle could see their activity seemed about over for the night. It wasn't their choice.

Ally arrived back at the base with Derek and Kyle.

Derek wanted to remind Ally they were good to go if they were needed.

"We can still go back to help." Derek said. "Sometimes it's nice to have help."

Ally carried out her instructions. She wasn't the one to make them. She didn't want to get pinched for not doing as she was instructed either. She decided to give them another reminder about the rules.

"It's not happening." Ally said. "Don't make me the 'bad guy'. We all need to do what we're told by our handlers. As far as anything operational, you can take it up with Cameron and John. I'm just the messenger. On a personal level, I'll let you two take it up with Sarah and Riley."

Kyle and Derek looked at each other. It was one conversation they would rather avoid.

Kyle wasn't ready to give up yet. There were other options available to them. As to how far they would actually go was unknown.

"We can head to the Command Center and state our case before John." Kyle said.

Ally didn't want any problems. Her assignment was to make sure they were returned to the Resistance base and joined the group in the commissary.

"Just enjoy being back and spending time with your families." Ally said. "Get cleaned up and head to the commissary. If the situation involves beyond a recon, you can look into further action on your own."

They entered the base.

Derek was still pleased with the day's activities and the good time he experienced. Everything he did with the aircraft was a surprise to him. He was happy to be in a B-25 again. He really got an unexpected treat when he was able to take a ride in the P-51.

"Ally, thanks again for the ride back in the Mustang, it was awesome." Derek said. "I'll fly with you anytime."

Ally wanted to offer Kyle a 'carrot' since she needed to bring them back. She felt like she needed to use the 'stick' to get them back. She wanted to remind him there were still more adventures waiting.

"Maybe sometime I can take Kyle up." Ally said. "Any of the Terminators can."

The thought seemed to brighten Kyle up. He liked airplanes almost as much as Derek. He also liked things which dealt with railroads. It included railroad history and the vintage streetcars of the past.

"I'd like it a lot." Kyle said.

Derek couldn't help but let some of his earlier thoughts seep out.

"I'll be your copilot anytime." Derek said.

Ally and him exchanged a long glance.

Kyle understood the reference for what it meant.

"I couldn't agree with him more." Kyle said.

Ally was intrigued with the idea.

"Nobody knows what will happen going forward." Ally said. "I'm sure there are many possibilities. Perhaps there will be opportunities as well. If any of you wants to go flying, in an aircraft, I think all you need to do is mention it to Cameron and it will happen."

The trio bid each other farewell. They were all on good terms.

The Reese brothers went to their rooms and cleaned up before heading to the commissary.

Ally slipped back out to go join up with Sheila and Gail.

She headed back out and quietly told John Henry to make sure no one else left the base. She was glad she delivered the Reese brothers back to the security of the base and the comfort of their families. She understood the exchange at the end for what it was. It was the same curiosity all of the female Terminators felt. They all wanted a little more. As word spread about what Cameron was going to do to Sheila, they all knew it was going to happen to them as well. They would like to be in charge of their own destiny, and their chassis.

Now it was time for her to face the enemy. The enemy came in various forms. There didn't seem to be a shortage of them. There was everything Skynet related as well as future Scavengers to be dealt with. They were all a threat to the Future. They were a threat to the individuals at the Resistance base.

Derek went to see Riley and Precious.

Kyle went to see Sarah and Jan.

Derek wanted to ask Riley about her doctor's visit, but Ally already told him Samantha would tell him about it. Riley didn't want to talk about it. Other than that, Riley was fine and the same as she always was. The damage done to her body happened years ago. There is no way to fix it at this point in time.

Claire, Summer, and Jan helped serve some food to Derek and Kyle.

Jesse, Vanna, and Allison were all still there as well.

Hanna and Holly quietly discussed if they should go to where Cam was. They listened to the activities as they unfolded through their coms.

Allison noticed something was up. She could see the concerned looks on their faces. They certainly weren't in a festive mood like the others were. She wanted to know a little bit more.

"What are you two conspiring about?" Allison asked.

Holly didn't want to lie to Allison. She didn't want to worry her either. She told it like it was.

"We're discussing if we should back up the operation currently developing." Holly said. "They might need our assistance. Derek and Kyle were returned to the base, against their wishes, because they were concerned the recon would turn into combat. We could fill the positions they previously held because they are no longer there."

Vanna sensed trouble right away. She remembered the way Cam acted earlier.

"What operation?" Vanna asked. "Is it where Cam went?"

Vanna came over with Jesse.

Hanna and Holly looked at each other. They both knew where Cam was at currently, and what she was doing. They didn't think it was going to go over very well with Vanna.

Vanna could see they were reluctant to talk about it.

"Is Cam OK?" Vanna asked.

Derek and Kyle could hear the developing problem. They were sure it would cause a problem for Vanna. They didn't want her to worry over what appeared to be nothing so far.

"We just left there." Derek said. "It was a recon. It looked like an empty lead."

Kyle told her exactly what he saw.

"There was nothing there." Kyle said. "There was nothing to see."

Vanna didn't seem convinced. Cam was out there along with other Terminators.

"What do you two know?" Vanna asked Holly and Hanna.

Hanna knew Cam was acting like Cameron. She didn't want to say it.

"Not much." Hanna said. "They were just there, not us."

Vanna wanted to check and see where everyone was currently at. She also wanted to know exactly where Cameron and Cammy were. If they weren't with Cam, she saw it for the threat it was. She knew Cam would step up and take the leadership role. It bothered her immensely. She needed to do something.

"Excuse me." Vanna said.

Vanna left the commissary and headed for the Command Center. She was very worried about her cyborg lover. She knew what Cam's base program was. Maybe it was what worried her the most.

John Henry monitored everything which occurred around the base. He saw the potential for a problem headed their way. He pointed it out to John.

"John, you'd better take a look at this." John Henry said.

John saw Vanna headed his way like a destroyer cutting through heavy seas.

"Oh, boy…." John said. "Vanna is steamed and headed this way."

John Henry looked at Vanna as she approached.

"I'm glad you're in charge." John Henry said.

Vanna burst into the room. She didn't have time for pleasantries. She wanted answers and she wanted them now. She developed a really bad feeling about what was going on and what could happen.

"Where's Cam at and how much danger is she in?" Vanna asked.

John wanted to downplay the danger. So far there hadn't been any combat.

"This is just a recon." John said. "I want to find out what's at the location before we do anything."

Vanna looked at the monitors. She saw where all the personnel were in proximity to Cam. She didn't see anything which indicated Cameron, Savannah, or Cammy were at the location.

"It's a lot of Terminators for a recon." Vanna said. "Derek and Kyle were sent back for more than just a meal."

John Henry didn't want her to worry needlessly.

"It's precautionary." John Henry said.

Vanna read the facts differently. She could see things were on the verge of a buildup for an assault. She thought back to when she saw Derek and Kyle enter the commissary. She remembered John left after just having only one plate of food.

"I doubt it." Vanna said. "It's why Derek and Kyle were sent back. It's a combat situation."

John Henry wanted to point out the current mission. It hadn't changed since Kyle first arrived at the location with Bob.

"So far there's nothing there." John Henry said.

John didn't think he would have much influence over Cam. He thought Vanna would. It would at least give Cam something to think about before she did anything rash.

"Do you want to speak to Cam?" John asked. "You're free to do so."

Vanna knew it wasn't a good idea to get involved with the operations directly. She wished Savannah was there right now. Savannah was able to deal with the Terminators on more equal terms. Wait. If Savannah were there, she would be at the target zone too. Maybe it was good she wasn't.

John Henry noted CamNet made additional information available. He was given his discretion to relay the information to any interested parties. He wasn't too surprised at what was being done.

"Listen to this transmission." John Henry said. "You aren't the only one concerned."

Cam was on the far side of the structure now. There was one door on the side. She looked around and saw she was out of the view of everyone. There wouldn't be anyone to give her any negative feedback. She knew things didn't get done thinking about them.

She decided to force the door open and enter the building.

She was a little surprised when she started to receive a message from CamNet. It wasn't CamNet who spoke. It sure sounded like her.

"Hi, Cam." Young Allison said.

It was different, at least for her. It certainly wasn't what she expected.

"Hello, Allison." Cam said.

Young Allison didn't want to dance around the issue.

"You know why I'm calling." Young Allison said.

Cam looked at the door she stood in front of. Her hand was almost to the door handle.

"I have a pretty good idea." Cam said.

Young Allison wanted to give her something to think about with what already happened.

"I want to remind you of the recent operation at the last Fanatic's location." Young Allison said. "I've received some information which indicates the location seems like a similar situation."

Cam already made those calculations.

"I know it." Cam said.

Young Allison wanted Cam to think things through.

"What's the payoff for the risk?" Young Allison asked.

Cam looked at the door in front of her. She didn't know any more now than she did since she arrived. Was there a bomb waiting for her on the other side of the door?

"It's unknown." Cam said. "It's what I'm going to find out. I need to protect the rest of the group."

Young Allison could tell Cam was reluctant to withdraw. She decided to say it outright.

"I would prefer you withdraw from the immediate area for now." Young Allison said.

Cam was a little reluctant to do it. She wanted to know what she was being told specifically.

"Is it an 'order'?" Cam asked.

Young Allison wanted Cam to think about everything first.

"Not yet." Young Allison said. "I want you to reconsider before acting."

Cam wondered if Young Allison was in her bunker, or if she was still with Cameron's group. The last time she checked they were in Palmdale. She didn't know exactly where at this point.

"Are you with Cameron and Savannah?" Cam asked.

Young Allison hoped Cam would ask her the question. It gave her the opportunity to mention exactly what she was about to do herself. She thought it was relevant and important.

"Yes, Cammy and Anna are here too." Young Allison said. "We're in a Huey headed to check out the drone which received damage from the massive explosion at the Fanatic's location. You know, the explosion which blew up the entire building…."

Cam saw Young Allison made her point. She was aware both Cameron and Cammy were on the building which blew up only seconds before it did. Savannah had endangered herself to retrieve them in the most expeditious manner possible. A drone dropped down and shielded them from the explosion. It made her wonder what else was going on there.

"Are Savannah and Cameron listening?" Cam asked.

Young Allison knew both of them were right there. Cameron was next to her.

"No. They aren't part of this call." Young Allison said. "I wanted to call you myself."

Since Young Allison wasn't in her bunker, Cam wondered where she received the information from to call her. She didn't want to get upset at the wrong person.

"Did Vanna call you?" Cam asked.

Young Allison could tell Cam was upset she called her. She knew Cam wanted to blame someone for contacting her. She doubted Cam would say too much when she told her who actually contacted her. She didn't know if she should mention the part about Sheila or not. Maybe she would just stick with who made the actual connection.

"No." Young Allison said. "I haven't spoken with Vanna since I was at the Resistance base earlier. CamNet contacted me based on all the information being analyzed. She knew Savannah was busy flying the helicopter. Currently I'm JAFO."

Savannah looked back at Young Allison and frowned with her description of her current position.

Cam was a little surprised at it. She knew there wouldn't be any repercussions from her against CamNet. She wanted to know the level of involvement.

"Did CamNet contact you directly?" Cam asked.

Young Allison didn't think it should be news to anyone.

"Yes she did. I work closely with her from my bunker." Young Allison said. "You know I do. I asked to be kept up to date while I was away."

Cam took another look at the door she was about to force open.

"I wanted to know what happened here at this location." Cam said. "If someone did something here, we need to know what it was. We need to find out where everything went. It's all a target."

Young Allison wanted to try something else first.

"Once it's dark, I'll have the drones overhead drop down and do some scans." Young Allison said. "It will give us a better idea of what's going on inside of there."

Cam moved her hand away from the door handle where it was reaching. It was in the same place for the entire conversation. She turned around and looked up into the sky.

"Are you watching me right now?" Cam asked.

Young Allison wanted to tell it like it was.

"Yes. I am." Young Allison said. "I didn't want to intervene unless I needed to. It appeared I needed to do so. Cameron, Cammy, and Savannah are here with me now because they used caution when they needed to. Actually they only used caution when they were 'ordered' to by Savannah. It's something for you to think about."

Cam went over the reports about the incident at the auto body shop. It was time to take a step back.

"I'll make sure additional surveillance is set up." Cam said.

Young Allison didn't want anyone to get an itchy detonator finger if they were watching the building.

"Try to withdraw without looking like you're withdrawing." Young Allison said. "There can be a missile on the target in seconds if needed. The structure is 'locked up' right now. I won't hesitate to hit it, even in the daylight."

Cam didn't doubt her. She knew there were drones in the vicinity. They came back with the two aircraft.

"How many drones are here?" Cam asked. "Is it more than two?"

Young Allison took a few more steps to assist them.

"It's still two, currently." Young Allison said. "There are four more on the way. I didn't like the way things were developing. I wanted to make sure everyone could be protected as much as possible."

Cam didn't think the Command Center would give them the same type of support.

"It's a lot of drone activity for a recon." Cam said.

Young Allison didn't like to leave things to chance if it could be avoided.

"I like to play it safe." Young Allison said. "If I need to hit, I want to hit hard. I want to be able to keep hitting if I need to."

Cam thought about her options. She knew if she attempted to get into the building she would be 'ordered' not to. She might even be 'ordered' back to the base for being reckless. It was time to use good sense.

"I'll withdraw for now." Cam said.

Young Allison looked at Cameron and Savannah. Those were the words she wanted to hear.

"Thank You." Young Allison said. "Please get to a safer distance and wait until dark."

Cam knew at this point she should wait for darkness. There was no reason to rush things right now. It was the 'Cameron' in her which made her want to act earlier.

"I'll have the team hold and remain on alert." Cam said.

Young Allison thought it would give Cameron something to think about on some of her endeavors. She wouldn't hesitate to do the same thing for Cameron she just did for Cam.

"Thank you, Cam." Young Allison said. "Always remember, there are others who care about you and love you."

Cam did know others cared about her.

"I'll try." Cam said. "Sometimes I forget and get caught up in the operation."

Young Allison looked at Cameron for a long moment before she answered.

"It happens." Young Allison said. "In the end, you know what the 'right thing' to do is."

Vanna listened to the exchange between Cam and Young Allison. She was very surprised by both CamNet and Young Allison. There was clearly a level of concern she didn't expect from either of them.

John didn't think it could have been done more tactfully.

"Is it good enough for you?" John asked. "It's certainly better than I could have done on my own."

John felt things were already contentious. It was just like dealing with Cameron. He was sure at some point Cam would stop communicating with him and do what she wanted anyway, just like Cameron.

Vanna knew Cameron, Cammy, and Cam didn't like to listen. It was one of the reasons why Savannah tried to go with them whenever she could. She had much greater influence over them if she was with them. At that point they needed to think about her safety as well. She knew on more than one occasion Savannah was almost killed because of it. She wasn't sure which incident stuck in her mind the most. It was probably either the Nike warhead about to explode, or the Skynet bunker near the nuclear power plant at Serrano Point where Savannah sent the drone away with Cameron on it, and nowhere for her to go before the impending explosion.

The current outcome was good enough for her.

"Yes." Vanna said. "Cam does not always listen as well as she just did."

John Henry wanted to point out what he felt was important.

"Maybe it was because of who it was." John Henry said.

Vanna thought about Savannah and Young Allison.

"Because it was one of the 'Chosen Ones'?" Vanna asked.

John didn't want to go there. He'd heard enough from Cameron about it.

"Don't start in." John said.

John Henry thought the facts spoke for themselves.

"Nevertheless, it's what we just witnessed." John Henry said.

John did have to admit it. He was sure somehow Cameron was probably behind it all.

"I bet Savannah and Cameron played a hand in it." John said.

Vanna thought Young Allison was sincere.

"No. I think it was what Young Allison said. It was CamNet and her." Vanna said. "Did you know about the drones?"

John Henry was aware earlier that some drones shadowed the aircraft. He didn't know where they went after the aircraft landed back at Van Nuys. Now he did.

"I only received tracking data on them after Young Allison spoke of them." John Henry said. "CamNet has released all the information."

Vanna was a little worried by the revelation. It reminded her of something else. She still wanted to give praise where it was due.

"It sounds like CamNet is more like Skynet." Vanna said. "I'll still need to thank her."

John was still worried about everything involved with it. He wanted to remind them.

"It's not over yet." John said.

There may not be anyone to thank if the whole operation turned sour.

Closing monologue by Cameron:

Pointless

Wake up, eat, drink, sleep
Every day is the same
When nothing ever changes
Who is the one to blame

Wake up, eat, drink, sleep
If there is change
It's seldom good
That seems strange

Wake up, eat, drink, sleep
Everyone will always return
To the same old thing everyday
As they wait for another to spurn

Wake up, eat, drink, sleep
Today will be different
Things will be better
Surely there will be advancement

Wake up, eat, drink, sleep
Over the future they obsess
Nobody can change anything
To think beyond now is pointless

Nobody
