It was October the 31st of 2017, Halloween night. And the reunion party of the DA at 12 Grimmauld Place, the residence of the Potters.

Inside the house Harry and Ginny were setting the house up for the dozens of guests that were coming, with the help of Kreacher the house elf of the Potter-family. Lily was sent to spend the night at the Burrow, alongside the other Weasley-children that were not yet attending Hogwarts, since all their parents were going to be at the reunion.

Ginny was herself nervous that Dean would come into their home that very night, but she had to pull it off. The abortum-potion would be come within a week or so, and then she could get over with the inconvenient pregnancy, no matter how she felt deep inside about it or her lover.

Dean was in the office of the Daily Prophet, but saw that Ginny was not there. Being employed part-time, she likely asked their boss, current editor-in-chief Robson "Bob" Pandergast, for the day off.

He would see her again this night.

He had to a conclusion about the offer that Seppo Virtanen and F. M. Lindholm had send him. He would agree to it and move away. The pay they offered was very good and he needed to get away from England.

He would meet Ginny in the party, tell her about the new situation, and then propose if they would meet one more time at his place for some intimacy before he would leave for Finland, as a goodbye.

What Dean was not sure about to tell Ginny were his feelings for her. He had already once told her about his love for her, but this was in a very quick and detached context. Could he tell her how he truly loved her, as in wanting to be with her in a proper and public relationship?

Harry, Ginny and Kreacher were preparing the 12 Grimmauld Place for the party. Molly had just come by and picked up Lily Luna for the sleepover at the Burrow with the other grandchildren.

"Remember Kreacher, that the vegetarian plates are just as important as the meat ones. Padma, Michael, Dennis, and Seamus as well as their spouses eat no meat" Ginny told the elf.

"Yes, Mrs. Potter" Kreacher replied.

"Does Neville eat any vegetables, considering his career in herbology. What would you call an anti-vegetarian?" Harry wondered jokingly.

"No idea, and we're in a hurry, honey. The first guests are gonna be here in 4 hours" Ginny said back to her husband.

"Dean got no special dietary needs, right?" Harry asked.

Ginny's heart stopped at the mention of her lover's name, but immediately got a cool composure.

"No. He'll taste anything" she replied. Especially me, she thought.

"So, he's like Ron. If I remember our time in Gryffindor tower, he was the quite the eater, like your dear brother"

"Wouldn't know anything about that"

"I mean, you dated for a while back in school. Surely you would something as important as remember?"

"It was a long time ago, Harry. Unlike some, I don't obsess over every little moment experienced at Hogwarts" she snapped back, but immediately regretted it.

Harry looked at her, somewhat hurt.

Damn it, she thought.

Due to his bad living situation with the Dursleys, Harry had always seen Hogwarts as more of a home than 4 Privet Drive. This was something Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and the rest could not always relate to since most of them had more of less stable homes with their parents or loved ones. Even Neville, who also lost his parents to the Death Eaters and lived under his strict grandmother, was shocked when he learned about the abuse Vernon had put Harry through. The now late Augusta Longbottom might have been strict and proud witch, but there was never any question that she loved her grandson and everything she did was to make sure he would succeed.

"Sorry, Harry. I sometimes forget about why you see our schooldays differently as the rest of us" she stated.

"No problems. I sometimes forget why the rest of your see our schooldays differently as me"

"Let's get back to work. We have still so much to do!"

"Yeah"

Dean came home from work that afternoon and switched to what he would wear tonight: some simple, but good-looking black dress robes.

In a few hours he would see Ginny again.

Harry dressed himsel in black dress robes, decorated with red and gold, symbolizing his pride in the House of Gryffindor.

Ginny put on a strapless navy-blue dress and put her hair in a ponytail.

It started to become evening and the first guests started to appear. Ron and Hermione were the first ones to arrive, followed shortly by Neville and Hannah. Eventually more and more people started to appear.

Besides the familiar faces of the DA, there was also new ones, mainly spouses. Cho Chang had brought her muggle husband with her, a Dutch man named Guust van der Toorn. Luca Caruso had brought his wife, the beautiful Brazilian witch InĂªs Boaventura Justino. What surprised many was that Seamus had brought Daphne Greengrass, the beautiful Hogwarts ice queen, as a date, making her the only Slytherin at the party.

Ginny looked nervously into the growing crowd of guests when she noticed Dean arrive. He looked good, handsome, and sexy, as he always did, which led to her avoiding eye-contact with him. He was the only man in the party without a date.

"May I ask for a toast?" asked Harry, as all the former DA-members and their dates had gathered in the living room of 12 Grimmauld Place.

"I wish you all welcome to our home and for this celebration" he continued. "I thought it was a high time to meet again and see how our lives have moved on from the war. Our last meeting was 10 years ago, and a lot has changed, right?"

The people present all nodded.

Harry went on to have speech on how most people present have had more kids since the last time, as well as promotions, changes in careers, and children beginning their studies at Hogwarts. Ginny herself found it as an alright speech, and everybody clapped when it ended.

"Let the feast catering begin" Harry announced. "Kreacher!"

The house elf who was present snapped his fingers, and kettles and plates filled with food started to float from the kitchen, alongside drink of various kinds.

The mood got cheery at the party, as the guests started to enjoy the food and drink that was being served. As host and hostess Harry and Ginny socialised with their guests.

Ginny had been drawn into a conversation with the twin sister Padma and Parvati Patil, as well as Susan Bones and Cho Chang. The conversation had begun about their careers, but quickly fell into talks about men. Ginny was a bit surprised by this, they were all women in their mid-to-late 30's, but acting like they were back in their later years at Hogwarts.

"I have noticed that Neville has turned out quite fine" commented Susan, while looking at Neville Longbottom and Hannah Abbott talking with Luca Caruso.

"I bet Hannah forced him to get into shape when they got engaged" Padma joked, Parvati chuckling alongside her sister.

"All three of you are married, ladies" Cho commented, trying to be a more reasonable voice in the present.

"Oh, come on, Cho, I was joking" stated Susan.
"Michael Corner and Luca also turned out fine. Seamus not so much. Wonder how he got Greengrass to come here, considering what a stunner she is" Parvati wondered. "You think there is really something going on, or is it just a favor he asked her?"

"Who knows?" pondered Padma.

"Ok, should we maybe change the subject, we're not teenagers again" Ginny tried.

"Oh, what happened to the former it-girl of Hogwarts, Gin?" asked Parvati.

"She grew up"

"I think Dean looks good" said Cho abruptly.

The four other women looked at her.

"Just saying" she continued, pointing to Dean, who was talking with his old friend Seamus, Justin Finch-Fletchley and Lee Jordan. Daphne had gone somewhere else in the meantime.

"You're not wrong, Cho" stated Susan. "He didn't bring a date"

"He's not married, nor is he in any type of relationship" Ginny stated immediately. At least in public.

"How do you know?" asked Padma.

"We both work at the Prophet's office. He started earlier this fall" Ginny replied.

"Oh, and I thought you had kept contact with your old boyfriend" Padma joked on.

Ginny felt a little nervous.

"It's kinda strange how he is single. Good lucking guy and all" Parvati added.

Ginny could no longer stand the situation and excused herself, leaving the living room.

Dean was chatting with his old friend Seamus, Justin, and Lee, but noticed Ginny leaving. This could be his chance to meet her.

"Sorry, does anyone know where the bathroom is here?" he asked.

"Down the corridor on the right" said George, who had come to talk to Lee.
"Thanks" Dean replied and left the living room.

He walked away from the party, following where Ginny had gone. He saw the woman go into a room, closing the door.

Dean looked at the door, guessing it was the master bedroom.

HPHPHPHPHPHPHPHPHPHPHPHP

Ginny sat on the bed looking down.

Seeing Dean in her home bothered him. Seeing the other women thirsting over him in her home bothered her more. Wanting to run into his arms, but not being able to do so in her home bothered her the most.

She felt guilty, but also not.

Ginny then heard a knock on the door. She rose, walked over and opened it.

It was Dean.

"Hey, I think we need to talk" he said.

"I agree" she replied, and let him into the room.
