Chapter 1245
Everything You Want
Cammy and Savannah watched Cam walk away from their SUV. She used a limp as she walked out onto the main street. It was to make her look like an easier 'target'.
Cam currently wore the clothes Savannah wore in the storm drain. They were dirty, ripped, and covered with soot. She looked like a homeless female. The goal was to 'get' the truck driver, who abused the two females they took into custody at the old newspaper plant. They hoped he would attempt to pick her up.
Savannah was a little concerned for Cam's well being.
"I think this is a little risky." Savannah said. "We don't know what she's walking into."
Cammy saw it the other way around.
"If the truck driver stops, he'll be the one who doesn't know what he's walking into." Cammy said. "By the time he figures out what a Terminator is, it will be too late for him."
Cam was in contact with John Henry, CamNet, and Cammy. She detected some sound in the background.
"I hear the truck." Cam said.
The truck was almost to her location. They didn't know if the driver would stop or not.
Cam looked around. She couldn't see the truck yet even if she could hear it. There wasn't much traffic. She unbuttoned two more buttons on her shirt. A lot of her breasts would show. It depended on how she moved or leaned forward. She might even be able to get a 'nip slip' out of it if she worked on it a little. She wasn't sure how much bait she would need to use.
John Henry informed Cam the truck was about to turn onto the street she was on. It wasn't moving too fast.
She looked at the end of the block. She spotted the truck. She started to make her way across the street with her simulated pronounced limp. She would pass in front of the truck. He would need to slow down or hit her. There could be some type of verbal altercation associated with their initial interaction. There were a number of 'appropriate responses' she would be able to deliver.
Cam heard the truck downshift. She decided to pause in the middle of the street so the driver could get a good look at her. She decided to make a move of courtesy which could be viewed as submission. She looked at the truck and waved for it to go by her.
She heard the truck downshift again and a hiss of air. The truck was going to let her pass. She didn't look at the driver but waved her hand in thanks and finished crossing the street. She headed in the direction the truck was going to go. It would make it easier for him to try and pick her up. She doubted he would back up if she went in the other direction. All he would need to do now is pull over.
There was another hiss of air and the truck started to move forward. It passed her slowly and pulled up to the curb a hundred feet in front of her. She continued her uneven walk with her exaggerated limp.
As she neared the cab of the truck, the passenger door opened.
"Excuse me." The truck driver said.
Cam stopped to look up into the cab.
"Me?" Cam asked as she looked around.
Cam could see the truck driver look her over in detail. He could get a good view down her top from his elevated position.
"Yes." The truck driver said. "Do you know the directions around here?"
Cam wanted to seem unattached to anything. It would make her a more suitable 'target'. There wouldn't be anyone to miss her, or look for her.
"Not really." Cam said. "I just got into town a few hours ago. I'm trying to see what is what around here myself."
The truck driver looked around. He checked up and down the street. He didn't spot anyone else. It meant there wouldn't be any witnesses.
"Really…." The truck driver said.
Cam leaned forward some and showed a lot of cleavage. She wanted to make her story a little more enticing for him to act.
"Another trucker let me off where he said the local camp was at." Cam said. "I'm still looking. I think he was a few streets off. Maybe he didn't want to go into the neighborhood. Some of the camps are pretty rough. I'm going there now as soon as I find it."
The truck driver looked around again. He didn't spot anyone else. It would be better if there were no witnesses who saw her enter his truck. The hard part would be to get her to enter on her own in case anyone did.
"It's actually quite a ways from here. I can take you there." The truck driver said. "Hop in. We can be there in no time."
Cam looked around and hesitated. She wanted to make it look like she was having second thoughts.
The truck driver smiled at her. He wanted to seem non threatening.
"Hop in." The truck driver said again. "I passed by it earlier. It's still a ways from here. There's no need to walk when you can ride."
Cam started to move toward the open door but stopped. She looked around again.
"Thanks, but I better not." Cam said.
The truck driver decided to up the ante. He could usually come up with something which would serve as bait. He would start out with simple things first.
"I have some 'herb' and pills." The truck driver said. "We can party. Hop in."
The truck driver named off several different street names for illegal drugs.
Cam wanted to play it cool. She wanted to seem like she was unseasoned.
"Do you have any food?" Cam asked.
The truck driver looked around in the cab. There were a few bags of different snack items. They were all empty.
"I can get you some." The truck driver said. "I need to pick a few things up for myself. I can get you whatever you want. I'll even get you a few things to take with you once we arrive at the encampment. Hop in."
Cam indicated her leg. She made it so he would see it appeared to be injured at some point in time. The more recent the injury would be, the more pain would be associated with it.
"Can I have a few pills first?" Cam asked. "My leg hurts. The pills make me forget about it for a while. If I take enough of them, I don't remember anything."
The truck driver was thrilled by the thought of her not remembering anything. It would make everything so much simpler. He wondered if she needed assistance to climb up.
"Hop in. Do you need me to help you get in?" The truck driver asked. "I don't mind helping a lady in distress."
Cam looked around again. She wanted to play 'hard to get'.
"I don't know." Cam said. "I better not. I don't like to be a problem for anyone. I shouldn't have asked for anything either."
The truck driver tried a new tactic.
"I have some cash." The truck driver said. "Hop in. We might be able to work something out."
Cam moved up to the open door of the truck. She wanted to make it look like the money interested her. She knew humans were all attracted to it for various reasons.
"How much money are we talking about?" Cam asked. "I'm broke. I need to eat something."
The truck driver saw he had a hook in her. Cold hard cash always seemed to have a way to do so with a homeless female. He wanted to make it seem like a sweet deal.
"It will be the pills, some food, and ten dollars." The truck driver said. "Hop in."
Cam wanted him to be more explicit. She wanted to set some parameters going in so she could tell at what point he would begin to violate them. It would let her know when the deal was about to go south.
"What exactly will be involved?" Cam asked.
The truck driver didn't want to spook her. He knew not to ask for too much at the beginning.
"It's just for a 'good time'." The truck driver said. "It doesn't need to be anything fancy. Hop in."
The truck driver stuck out his hand for Cam to take and climb up.
Cam still wanted to play 'hard to get'. She wanted it to seem as if she still possessed some dignity.
"I'm not a street walker." Cam said. "It's not how I want to feel about myself. I don't want anyone to think of me the same way either. I don't want to enter the camp with a 'bad reputation'."
The truck driver sensed he was closer. He decided to play with her words. It was something he usually did to make things sound 'normal'.
"I know." The truck driver said. "You're just down on your luck a little. A nice lady like you would never be a street walker. A good time every now and then is no big deal. It's what everybody does. A little release keeps the blood flowing and the heart pumping. It's really just like exercise. Hop in."
Cam could see the truck driver really check her out. She made sure he could see a lot. Her top was unbuttoned below her breasts now. He could clearly see both of them when she leaned forward.
"I don't know." Cam said. "I just want some food. I need some things just to stay alive. It's hard sometimes. I want to get something to eat."
The truck driver wanted her.
"I'll make it twenty bucks." The truck driver said. "We can 'party' as new friends. Friends help each other out. Hop in."
Cam hesitated.
"I've never done anything like this before." Cam said. "For money, I mean. It's not something I want to do. I do need to eat."
Cam bent forward so the truck driver could see everything inside her shirt even better. It was a wide open view.
The truck driver's eyes were wide with sexual 'hunger'. He didn't want her to get away. He needed to think about the wording a little more.
"It's not about the money. Friends help each other. There are many ways to help each other." The truck driver said. "I'll make it fifty bucks and the pills. I have a sleeper cab. There's a bed. It won't be anything weird. Everything will be real simple and quick. Hop in."
Cam looked desperate. She shrugged her shoulders in resignation. She looked around in both directions.
"Let me see the 'goods' and cash." Cam said. "I need to eat."
The truck driver reached down and brought up a small plastic bag with some pills and flashed two twenties and a ten.
He reached his hand down to Cam again.
"Hop in." The truck driver said. "We can take care of a few of your issues. It's what friends do. They help each other out."
Cam looked around again. She wanted to make it seem like she was nervous and unsure.
"You won't tell anyone about this will you?" Cam asked.
The truck driver knew he almost had her.
"Never, I think it's rude to kiss and tell." The truck driver said. "Nobody will ever know. It will be like we're friends. Friends like to have a good time with each other. They look out for each other. They help each other. Remember, one hand washes the other. It's just how things work. Hop in."
Cam wanted to sound hesitant.
"This isn't a business transaction." Cam said. "There's nothing for sale here. We're just friends for now. I need a little help, and you want to help me."
The truck driver was more than elated. He looked at Cam and smiled.
"That's right, we're just friends." The truck driver said. "There's nothing to worry about. Hop in."
Cam reached up and took his hand and climbed in the truck. One of her breasts popped out of her top as she climbed up. She quickly tucked it back inside.
"I'm sorry. It happens." Cam said. "I need to get a new shirt too. This one's kind of messed up. I don't remember where I found it. My old one was a lot worse."
The truck driver's eyes almost popped out of his head at the close up view of her breast.
"You're really pretty." The truck driver said. "Close the door."
Cam tried to brush her messed up hair with her hand.
"I used to be." Cam said. "I'm not so much anymore."
The truck driver wanted her to close the door. He was afraid she would bolt.
"Close the door." The truck driver said.
Cam held out her hand.
"I've never done anything like this before." Cam said. "Let me have the cash and pills first. I don't want to be taken advantage of."
The truck driver moved closer to her.
"Friends don't take advantage of each other. I'll give you everything after I'm done. It won't take long." The truck driver said. "Close the door."
Cam let the other breast pop out of her top. She was slow to cover it back up.
"What do I have to do?" Cam asked.
The truck driver wanted her real bad. He knew what he wanted.
"You can just lay there for twenty bucks. You can do everything for fifty bucks." The truck driver said. "Close the door."
Cam looked onto the back where the bed was. She decided to push it.
"I'll lay there for fifty, or do everything for a hundred." Cam said.
Cam let her shirt hang open. Both of her breasts were exposed.
The truck driver's eyes were wild with lust. He reached down and needed to adjust his pants.
"I want to know what I get for a C-note." The truck driver asked. "What do I get for my hard earned money?"
Cam could see the truck driver I was on the edge. She wanted to play with him a little bit. She encountered his type before on Cameron's 'off the books' operations.
"Everything…." Cam said.
The truck driver sucked in his breath a little bit as he moistened his lips.
"Everything?" The truck driver asked.
Cam flashed her beautiful smile at him.
"Everything you want." Cam said.
The truck driver flashed a hundred dollar bill.
"I want everything." The truck driver said. "I want it all. Close the door."
Cam closed the door.
Moments ago:
Cammy and Savannah pulled out onto the street once the truck stopped. They watched and listened to everything.
Savannah was disgusted by what she heard. She knew things like this happened all the time all over the world. They did in some form or another for thousands of years. It was probably since the beginning of time for humans. 'Nature's Treasury' seemed to have a lot of influence throughout history.
Cammy didn't think Savannah looked well. She wondered if the aftereffects of what happened with the gun battle underground and getting shot in the back of her vest were catching up with her. She suffered a lot of smoke inhalation on top of it.
"You look ill." Cammy said.
Savannah didn't feel quite a hundred percent physically. She didn't like what happened with Cam and the truck driver right now either. She clearly had better days than today was going so far.
"After hearing what was just said, I feel like throwing up." Savannah said.
Cammy was worried about Savannah's pregnancy. She knew Savannah experienced some morning sickness a few times. Maybe this was related. She wanted to scan her.
Savannah saw Cammy reach for her to scan her. She didn't want to be scanned right now. She gently brushed Cammy's hand away.
"No, I'm fine." Savannah said. "It was more a figure of speech."
Cammy pointed out what they both knew.
"It happens all the time." Cammy said. "Females and males sell themselves. It's been the same way since the beginning of time."
Cammy believed it would be the same way until the end of time. Well, for humans anyway.
Savannah was educated in the ways of the world. It was the simplest form of barter there was. Someone possessed something someone else wanted. They were willing to exchange something for it. She figured it was actually better than one person taking it by force. If it was a mutual agreement, could anyone really complain? If it was just a simple business transaction, did it really hurt anything? She thought about some of the things she read. She really questioned some of the things people were willing to exchange for sex.
"I know it has." Savannah said. "I read once where females in a Southeast Asian country would trade themselves for a can of Root Beer. At the time, the soda cost about twelve cents."
Savannah really wondered how someone could sell themselves so cheaply. She knew it didn't take long before the females didn't see it as anything other than a way to achieve what they wanted, or needed.
Cammy indicated there were many reasons people 'sold' themselves. Generally, people needed to work for a living to survive. She figured the type of 'work' could come in various forms. Some people saw things as a moral issue. Others saw it as a means to survive. There was no free ride.
"Some people need food to survive." Cammy said. "Some do it for drugs. Depending upon the situation, it can be done for influence as well."
Savannah knew of the struggles of the females from the future. There were things a lot worse than someone selling themselves.
"I know how it works." Savannah said. "Some don't have a choice either."
Savannah was in two futures. She saw plenty of questionable things happen. She was isolated and insulated from most of it too. The Terminators around her always made sure she was protected.
She followed some of the operations Cameron took Sheila and Ally on. Vanna, Allison, and Jesse told her plenty. The world was an ugly place for females. By nature's creation, they possessed something desired by nearly all males and many females. It was both good and bad. Some people were willing to transact some type of remuneration. Others would take what they wanted by force.
She remembered something Sarah told her a few times as she got a little older. Sarah told her there were many things she needed to do to protect John when he was younger. She needed to learn skills on how to protect John and herself. Sarah told her there were things she needed to do, she didn't want to do. She said when it came to protecting John, there was no choice. There was nothing to think about. She did what she did to protect John.
She was never really sure why Sarah told her those things. She understood how things worked when she was older. Sarah told her indirectly there were many ways for her to survive and learn things with just the use of her body if she ever needed to. It was never said directly, but the implication was clear. One did what they needed to do to survive. One does what they have to do to live another day.
They watched Cam get in the truck. It wasn't what they wanted. They knew it was part of the ploy.
Savannah needed to clear her mind. She didn't like what was happening. She knew Cam could take care of herself. It was just the idea more than anything which troubled her.
"Don't close the door, Cam." Savannah said.
They listened some more and Cam closed the door.
It wasn't what Savannah wanted to see.
"I didn't want her to close the door." Savannah said. "I wanted her to be able to make a quick getaway."
Cammy was a little concerned herself now.
"He may drive away." Cammy said.
Savannah was worried for Cam.
"Keep him there, Cam." Savannah said.
Steve picked up on Savannah's concern.
"We're at the end of the block in front of the truck." Steve said. "We can stop it."
Cammy didn't want to jump the gun. She wanted the truck driver to clearly implicate himself. She wanted him to show himself for the evil person he surely was. Unless he had a Taser, Cam wasn't in any real danger. She was a Terminator.
"Hold for now." Cammy said. "Cam can take care of herself."
Savannah wondered about what might happen.
"What if he gives Cam the money and the pills first?" Savannah asked.
Cammy was afraid it could play out a little differently than they expected. The females may have played them. It was clear the females were less than truthful about a few things.
"Then maybe the females lied even more than we thought." Cammy said. "Listen…."
Savannah knew they were at the moment of truth.
"I think whatever is about to happen, is about to happen right now." Savannah said.
Just listening to the man made her feel ill. She couldn't imagine being in a similar situation for real. She knew there were females in similar negotiations all around the world in various ways at any point in time.
Sarah took Jan to look at the dresses.
Jan was clearly excited seeing the fancy clothes.
"Are all of these for me?" Jan asked. "They're beautiful."
Sarah could see how excited Jan was.
"You can pick one for each night we're here." Sarah said.
Jan could see there were more than she could wear in a few days.
"Can I have all of them?" Jan asked.
Sarah didn't want Jan to get hung up on material things.
"No." Sarah said. "You may be able to keep one of them. You don't want to get attached to things which can come and go. You know we could have things like this anytime. We don't, because we don't need them."
Jan was aware of what Young Allison wanted to do. Summer and her talked about it earlier. She could be older 'faster' too. It sounded like it would be fun to 'get away from it all' for a while.
"Can I go with Allison - Young Allison?" Jan asked.
Sarah didn't say anything. She knew what the reference was. The idea didn't sit well with her on several levels. There was just something wrong with the whole concept or premise of things.
Jan could see her mother understood. She didn't like the hesitation in her answer.
"We'll only be gone for a few hours at the most." Jan said. "We'd be right back."
Sarah tried not to get angry at Jan. She knew it was the fault of someone else. She was sure one of the Metal girls was involved.
"Who told you to do this?" Sarah asked. "Was it Cameron?"
Jan didn't want any of the Metal girls to get in trouble. They hadn't done anything.
"Cameron never said a word to me about it." Jan said. "None of the Terminators did."
Sarah wanted answers.
"Who told you?" Sarah asked. "The idea came from somewhere."
Jan didn't think it was a problem.
"Summer did. She wants to go with her sister, Allison - Young Allison, when she goes. I want to go with Summer." Jan said.
Sarah didn't want it. She didn't want things done in a convoluted manner.
"I won't allow it." Sarah said. "There's no reason for you to need to do it."
Jan needed to disagree. She knew the savagery young females faced in the future.
"I'll be better protected after Judgment Day if I'm older." Jan said. "I know what happens to all the females, sooner or later. For most of them it's sooner. I want to avoid it, or be able to defend myself better. Summer said we'll be abused less if we can fight."
Sarah wanted to scream. She needed to leave the room before she did. There was an evil truth in what Jan said. She knew it was a real possibility. She knew it was true. She was aware of what happened to Jesse, Riley, Vanna, and Allison. She worked hard and suffered a lot to try to delay Judgment Day. It's what she was trying to prevent all these years.
"You can look at the dresses while I check on your father." Sarah said as hurried away.
Sarah closed the door into their main suite living area. The tears started to run down her face. She wanted to be angry at someone but didn't know who. Maybe she should be upset at Skynet. It's what put all the other events into play. It was what created so many problems and challenges for her.
Cameron tried for years to assign a Terminator protector to Jan. Sarah always got angry and resisted. Maybe it's what Jan was going to need. Cameron said it could be male or female. There was a good chance the 'guardian' would one day turn into a lover. It did for all the other girls. If it was a male guardian, Jan would never enter into a traditional relationship. If it was a female guardian, a human male would like to be with two 'females'. Maybe it would only be two females. It could also be three females.
Sarah knew Claire asked Samantha to become a Terminator version of her. Maybe she could ask for a Terminator version of herself. If she did, Jan would always have a version of 'her' if she was killed. It's what Claire wanted for Summer. It would also most likely prevent them from becoming 'lovers' in the future if her Terminator protector looked like her 'mother'. She would want the Terminator to look like a teenage version of herself. Who knows, maybe something would happen if it were the case.
"What's wrong?" Kyle asked.
Sarah was a little startled. She was surprised to see Kyle standing there. He only wore a towel around his waist.
Sarah quickly wiped the tears away. She needed to snap out of it. She shouldn't have allowed her mind to drift. It wasn't the right time. She doubted there was a right time.
"Nothing is wrong." Sarah said.
Kyle very seldom ever saw Sarah with tears. Something needed to be wrong.
"I know you better than that…." Kyle said.
Sarah didn't want to discuss it.
"Can we please drop it?" Sarah asked. "At least for now anyway, we can talk about it at a later date. I don't want to do it now. There were just some things I thought of which I didn't want to think about, but I did anyway. I don't want to think about them anymore right now, please."
Kyle knew when to yield. He didn't want to make whatever problem it was even worse.
"I know you well enough to tell when it is time to back off too." Kyle said. "I do want to know about it when you're ready. Remember, I'm your soul mate. We can talk about anything."
Sarah wiped the tears away and took a deep breath.
"I'm fine." Sarah said. "It's not important."
Kyle doubted it strongly. Experience taught him over the years not to listen to what everyone said. Usually when any of the group said they were fine, they were anything but fine.
They heard the ship's horn let out a loud blast.
"That thing is loud." Kyle said.
Sarah looked over towards the open balcony door.
"Wow, I can't believe how loud the horn is." Sarah said.
Kyle figured anyone who needed to get on the ship better hurry.
Sarah wanted to check on her daughter.
"They're about to leave the dock." Sarah said. "I'm going back so Jan can watch. Put some clothes on."
Sarah reentered the adjoining bedroom with Jan.
She put on a brave face. She needed to do it most of her life since her exposure to Skynet. It never got any easier. She didn't want to think about what Jan said.
She also knew what Kyle wanted. They argued over it many times. Kyle wanted them to go back a hundred years in time so Jan could grow up and live her life without the shadow of Skynet hanging over her. He didn't want the threat of death lurking around every corner for her, or the abuse a Skynet future would hold.
She knew it was a standing offer by Cameron for anyone in the Resistance if they wanted to live a more peaceful life. She didn't think John would go. She couldn't abandon him. It made her wonder if she was going to sacrifice her daughter in order to save her son.
Kyle already died once because of Skynet. It didn't matter if it was Future Kyle or not. It was still Kyle. They all started from the same individual. If they went back a hundred years in time, none of them would need to worry about Skynet. Sure there would be other worries, the end of the world wouldn't be one of them, even if there were a few times people thought it would be.
Right now she wanted to help her daughter dress up and look nice. Life moved forward not backwards.
Derek and Riley were both finished with their shared shower. They looked over the clothes they were going to wear.
Derek wore his boxers and Riley was still naked. She didn't plan to wear any underwear since none of the other females did. It allowed them to display their assets to their fullest. Sarah previously said she was only going to wear her dress and high heels tonight.
Riley thought about trying for a quickie with Derek. She was still naked and cleaned up. She would feel more comfortable with anything she asked him to do now.
Derek watched Riley from the corner of his eye. He was afraid she wanted to do it again. His time in the shower with Riley showed him he was nowhere near ready on his own.
Riley came over and touched him.
"Are you 'up' to it?" Riley asked.
Derek didn't think so. He was spent.
"Maybe after dinner we can." Derek said. "My body can only do much. It's more than just 'old age'. It's nature."
Riley widened her stance to indicate what was available and what she wanted. It was one of the things she liked about a female lover. They were good to go at any time and more than willing to reciprocate.
"There are other things." Riley said.
Derek was sure it would only be the start.
"I think that…." Derek started.
They heard the ship's horn let out a loud blast.
"That thing is loud." Riley said.
Derek hoped for a reprieve. It looked like he might have just received one.
"We can watch the ship 'sail away'." Derek said.
Riley could tell Derek was struggling a little and maybe he did need a rest. She didn't want him to have a 'failure'. It would give him a complex. It would make him more hesitant going forward.
"Sure, Derek, we can do it." Riley said.
Riley headed for the balcony.
Derek grabbed two robes from the closet and followed her.
Riley opened the balcony door all the way and walked out. She leaned over the railing for a better look down.
Derek hurried outside with the robes.
"Here." Derek said. "Put this on before anyone notices you."
Riley took the robe. She saw there were people on one side. Both of them clearly saw her. She smiled at them and took the robe.
"I forgot some people here have a problem with nudity." Riley said. "I don't mean them either."
Riley would have preferred to remain naked. It would increase the chances of Derek wanting a little more. She put the robe on.
Derek did too. He looked over and saw the couple. It was about the last thing he needed to see when he saw who they were.
"Did they see you?" Derek asked in a hushed tone.
Riley didn't think it was a big deal
"Yes." Riley whispered back. "It's nothing they haven't seen before, either one of them."
Derek looked over at them and nodded. He would have preferred if it was anyone else who just saw Riley naked.
John watched Cameron as she looked at herself in the mirror. She was naked. She touched various parts of her sheath.
He realized she did the same thing when she was in control of Sheila's chassis. She made physical comparisons of her sheath and Sheila's sheath. He could tell she was comparing various body parts.
Cameron looked at herself in the mirror. She looked over at John. She looked back in the mirror and frowned.
"I want to ask Sheila if I can use her chassis for the rest of the cruise." Cameron said.
John wasn't too keen on the idea. He didn't want to get into an argument with Cameron over it. He would prefer if she remained in her own chassis. If it was what she wanted to do, he didn't think it would be a problem. He knew he wouldn't have a problem with it.
"She said she would do it anytime." John said.
Cameron wanted Sheila's chassis for herself. She wanted to look like Sheila. She wanted to be Sheila.
"I mean switch chips." Cameron said. "I want to do it for you."
John was afraid of this. Cameron was going to think he liked Sheila's chassis better. It was only because it was 'different', even if it was Cameron. He wanted her to know how he felt.
"I like you how you are." John said.
Cameron scanned John during every sexual encounter.
"You liked it more when I was in Sheila's chassis." Cameron said. "It excited and stimulated you much more than my chassis does."
John knew it was because it was like she was 'someone different'. It was like he was with a new person, even if it was Cameron. Maybe it was the same for her wherever her program was at. It was different for him visually when everything was different.
"It was exciting for me. It was something new for both of us." John said. "You were excited too."
Cameron felt she experienced a better time in Sheila's chassis.
"I was and still am." Cameron said.
John wanted to change the subject.
"How soon is it until the ship leaves?" John asked.
Cameron walked over and looked at her phone. There was an update from Bob.
"It will leave in two minutes." Cameron said.
John went and grabbed two robes. He put one on as he walked, it hung open.
"We can check it out." John said.
He held the other one for Cameron to slip on.
"Thank you." Cameron said.
They walked out onto the balcony.
They heard the ship's horn let out a loud blast.
"That thing is loud." John said.
Cameron and John both leaned over the side to look better.
Much to their surprise a few seconds later, Riley appeared on her balcony. She was naked.
Cameron and John both looked at her.
It was nothing either of them hadn't seen before. Both were under different circumstances.
Cameron skinny dipped with Riley before. They were nude on the beach and in the surf. She tended to Riley's wounds. She was there when Precious was born. She saw everything on Riley there was to see. She saw it in great detail.
John saw everything on Future Riley there was to see. He liked seeing it again. He thought back to the beautiful time they shared together. He wanted to look away but he couldn't.
Cameron noticed John was enthralled as he gazed at Riley naked.
She leaned closer to John.
"I can make a sheath like hers too." Cameron whispered. "I want to make you happy. I know where to get the DNA. We can at least try it like we did with Sheila."
John already dealt with enough regrets and bad memories about the whole chain of events. The 'ending' wasn't worth the price Future Riley needed to 'pay'.
"Don't start." John said.
Cameron didn't want to upset John about it. At least until the cruise was over. It was still a viable idea. There were a few chassis in her menagerie she planned to try out anyway in the darkness. She didn't want John to see them as she used them. He wondered if he could tell who they looked like in the darkness as his animal lust took control of him. Now wasn't the time.
"I'm sorry." Cameron said.
They saw Derek a short time later. They all nodded at each other.
It was clear to her Riley still touched John's heart. She would try to get Jesse or Claire, or both of them, to spend a couple of hours with John. A human female of her choosing should help him forget some about Riley - Future Riley. She knew both of them would be able to give him a better experience with a human female. She was pretty sure both of them would jump at the chance if she were to offer it to them. She wanted it to be one at a time at first, before it was both of them together.
It didn't bother Cameron as much anymore for John to be with a human female, if she was the one in control. She would be the one who set up a rendezvous with one of the other females. She wanted him protected. After what she just witnessed, she was going to try. It would be better for Savannah and Young Allison in the long run if John gained more experience with Jesse and Claire first. She would do the same with Vanna and Allison if they came on board.
John needed to be protected and there was no point in waiting anymore. One of the females needed to share with John. It would make him less awkward with Savannah and Young Allison when it was their turn. She wanted him to be able to satisfy them with experience and confidence. She didn't want him to pound away for a minute and be done. It would be a very unsatisfactory experience for them.
She really wanted Savannah on the ship.
Maybe she should lean on Hanna next. It would give John a 'taste' of what was in his future. Everything on Hanna was identical to Savannah. She examined her sheath extensively before Hanna's activation. It struck her how pink everything was with no darker pigmentation anywhere. It made her smile to think Young Allison named the one drone 'Pink Butterfly' for Savannah. She was pretty sure some World War Two aircraft carried the same name on its nose. Savannah promptly changed the name to 'Coltan Overcast' because 'Pink Butterfly' made her self conscious.
Hank and Larry both received an update from CamNet. There were more drones on the way. She wanted the hard drives they collected protected. The buildings could wait. Even if anyone left the buildings, they would most likely leave by a vehicle. There were two drones currently there. They could follow them to wherever they went.
"Those buildings may be destroyed when the complex inside the hill explodes." Hank said.
Larry figured it would be like an earthquake. It wouldn't be a big one. It would also be localized. The buildings were right next to where the complex was located. It could be enough to collapse them or partially collapse them. It would most likely damage them in some way.
"Let's get back to our SUV." Larry said.
Hank and Larry took off at a brisk run. They wanted to make sure they weren't too close to the hill either when the complex exploded. It took them nearly six minutes to reach their SUV. It was about three miles away.
"It's almost time for the explosives to go off." Hank said. "Do you want to wait or do you want to go?"
Larry looked around where they were at. There were a lot of trees around them. It was doubtful any of them would fall over. He didn't think they should take a chance.
"Let's roll." Larry said. "We can watch what happens from the drone footage. It will give us a better view anyway."
Larry also knew it would give them a better view of what was going on around them elsewhere.
Hank climbed into the driver's seat of the SUV. Larry climbed into the passenger seat. Hank started it and drove off. They quickly reach the dirt road. It would take them back to the paved road. It was clear around them. Hank stopped the SUV and turned the engine off.
The explosives will go off in twelve seconds." Hank said.
The female Fanatic looked back one more time in her rear view mirror to make sure it was clear to move over. She could see black smoke billowing up in the distance. She checked her side view mirror to move over to pass the bus. As soon as she came alongside of the bus, she only saw the vehicle in front of the car she was behind just a few seconds ago. There was no sign of the target vehicle.
'What the Hell?' The female Fanatic thought.
She slowed down and let the bus continue on. She turned her head over to the right side. It was the only direction the target vehicle could have gone. She wondered if they figured out the building they were just in, was now a mass of burning rubble.
When she looked back, she saw there was a gas station. The vehicle was parked at one of the gasoline pumps. She quickly made a left turn and parked across the street. She wanted to see how many individuals were actually in it.
She only saw one man exit the vehicle. He went inside. He was only in there for about thirty seconds before he came back out. He returned to the vehicle to pump the gas. She never saw him look back in the direction of the building. They were far enough away now he wouldn't know what happened if he looked. She was actually surprised she hadn't heard any sirens or seen any fire trucks go by. If there were more than a few of them, it was bound to attract everyone's attention to see why there were so many.
She knew there was still one other man out there somewhere. Maybe the target vehicle would pick him up. She would like to know where he was. The two men she listen to inside of the building indicated there might be some sexual activity involved somewhere. She was just glad she didn't see them bring a female back and take her inside of the building. She knew she would be dead now, if it would have happened.
The man removed the nozzle from the gas tank fill spout after a few minutes. He put the gas cap back on and put the nozzle back onto the pump. He got back in the vehicle and pulled away.
She wasn't sure which direction he was going to go. It's possible he left the building just to get fuel. She actually hoped he was going somewhere different. She planned to use the bomb in the back of her van against the two buildings where she was taken inside of the complex. If she found a better target first, she would use the bomb there.
She could always make another bomb if she needed to. She didn't need to use conventional explosives either. She knew how to make a 'fertilizer bomb'. She actually wondered why more people didn't use them. She remembered seeing a report on the news one time in a restaurant. They referred to an incident which happened a long time ago. Half of a multi-story government building was completely obliterated with fertilizer and diesel fuel. No actual explosives were involved.
The female Fanatic quickly ducked down in her seat. The vehicle was headed in her direction. She would need to let it pass and make another U-turn to follow it. She wanted to know where it was going. She wanted to know where the other man was at as well.
Hank and Larry could both feel the ground vibrate. They were actually able to detect the P-wave slightly before the ground shook.
They watch the drone footage. There was a lot of dust which came up off of the hill. The roll up door which went into the side of the hill blew off. They remember both of the blast doors weren't closed tightly. It was how they were able to get out. The opening was buried almost immediately as dirt and rocks from above it covered it over. The landslide also affected the two buildings. The backsides of both of them were crushed. The buildings themselves collapsed.
"It was a little more than I expected to see." Hank said.
Larry was surprised so much damage was done.
"I think the explosive force of all those chemicals added to the destruction." Larry said.
Hank knew he might have had something to do with it.
"I was able to add the chemicals to two of the drums to make nitroglycerin." Hank said.
Larry thought of doing the same thing but didn't. He knew how unstable nitroglycerin was.
"It was a risky procedure." Larry said
Hank thought the results spoke for themselves.
"The complex will never be used again." Hank said. "I think it's the only thing which matters in the end."
Larry was glad it wasn't the end for them.
The drone footage showed a few people crawl out of the wreckage of the two buildings.
Hank could see they had a few targets.
"I think we can follow the survivors and see where they go." Hank said.
Larry looked at the drone images as well.
"I don't think they'll be survivors for very long." Larry said.
Hank and Larry check on where the female Fanatic was.
They waited for their new targets to leave the area.
The female Fanatic waited until the target vehicle was two blocks away. She decided not to make a U-turn. She turned into a parking lot and then came back out through their other driveway. She thought it would attract less attention if anyone was watching.
Closing monologue by Cameron:
Everything You Want
It's been said to be careful
For what you wish for
Because you might get it
You may see you want more
How much is too much
Is there ever enough
Some always want more
It makes the road rough
When you take more
Than you're willing to give
What often remains
Is strained through a sieve
Throw aside the greed
Concentrate on the need
As surely as the sun rises
Your heart is going to bleed
Open your eyes and look
End the needless hunt
Look who's at your side
There's everything you want
Nobody
