After the blinding light had died down, John felt worse than when he had used the repository and ten time more disoriented. It took him nearly a minute to begin thinking straight again. "Deculture!" he cursed aloud, "they never mentioned that on the show, it felt like I was on a roller coaster in Antarctica during a snow storm." He moaned as he got out of the control chair to get his bearings.
Once the worst of the feeling had worn off, and he had been for a drink of water, and was thinking clearly again he moved to the tactical station behind the control chair to take a look around using the advanced version of the 'Search Eye' system in addition to the Asgard, Alteran, Starfleet sensors. He couldn't detect the small moon which he had originally been in orbit of before the jump, it was now a medium sized asteroid field while the larger Mars sized planet was now a class M Earth sized planet with a massive ring system
As the sensor results came in John noticed that this entire system was not only rich in the common materials of the Babylon 5 universe but also several very large deposits of naquadah, neutronium and trinium only a few hundred meters below the surface with almost a hundred of the larger orbiting Eros size asteroids being made up of almost seventy-five percent pure crystalized carbon and even a few Ceres sized ones made up of naquadria. The massive deposits were so deep underground and into the mountains, that nothing the locals have would have been able to detect them, and virtually impossible to mine without the use of Starfleet transporters like those on the Tsunami-II. There was also a small amount, almost twice the size of Olympus Mons, of Quantium 40 in the asteroid field that was the small moon before his jump, but it was masked by medium to high levels of radiation that would block local scanners. Realising that this planet was so rich in materials John began to land on the planet.
Upon touching down on the planet, John began to use the Asgard section of the core again and called up the designs for the replicators, and thanks to the highly advanced nature of the entire core and its user friendly interface. The first thing he did was alter the base code, first he changed it to prevent them from replicating and locked it down to his gene-song using a mix of Alteran and Klingon words as the password, and though he knew it shouldn't be needed he also included an immunity to the anti-replicator weapons from the stargate universe.
The second change he made was how they interacted with him to prevent people, even the Shadows and Vorlons, from actually steeling them from being under his control, even adding additional protection against un-authorised access to their base code without his gene-song and password. The final change he made was to limit their replication abilities, to only being allowed to create as many as was needed and would either go inert or self-destruct, as if being hit by three shots from a zat'nik'tel, on command. He then included all the basic Alteran programing for a replicator into them along with all of Asimov's 'Laws of Robotics', he didn't want to unleash them like a plague of locust or create Cylons after all, as well as preventing them from ever taking on a humanoid form.
Once he was done reprograming them he used the on-board Starfleet industrial class 6 replicators to create a second Alteran data core, with his new programing installed, and connected to the Tsunami-II's power core.
After completing the construction and reprograming of the newest version of the Alteran replicators, he made a slight modification to his collection of Mjolnir armours, to include a direct neural interface via his Spartan II cybernetics over a highly encrypted sub-space link, more complex than that of the Borg collective from Star Trek.
Then he used both the Asgard transporter beam and Starfleet industrial replicator to create ten groups of three different types of drones based off the design of the one from the Alteran unmanned stargate seed ships constructors, the first was a simple mining drone, the second was a basic refinery drone to remove the majority of the major impurities while the last was a basic transportation drone designed to bring the ores back to a location under the Tsunami-II, or the cargo warehouse he planned to build once the area around his landing location was mined of the materials needed to make the more advance nanite versions of the replicators.
Due to the complexity of the individual drones it took almost a day to build the first nine drones, but once each set was done he beamed them to the surface ten meters from the nearest major deposits. "Computer." He said, the authority in his voice clear. "Instruct the drones to commence mining operations, harvesting all available minerals into ten kilogram ingots. Priority minerals are naquadah, trinium, neutronium and Quantium 40."
"Acknowledge." The computer responded, its synthetic mono-tone voice making it sound more robotic than it was.
"Hum, maybe I should use the Thor hologram as the template for the computer." He mussed aloud as he launched several multispatial probes into orbit and set them to continually monitor the system as a form of early warning system for any approaching threats or anomalous activity near the planet and his, though limited, mining operations.
He then launched an Alteran social research satellite cluster equipped with a hybrid Alteran/ Asgard cloaking system and Anubis class hyper-drive towards Sol so he could work out exactly when he had arrived, and began to work out his first contact plan. Eventually he began to feel the events of the last week catch up on him, so he turned over his mining sites, orbital monitoring network and the Sol bound probe over to the Tsunami-II's VI control while he turned in.
Upon entering the stately commander's quarters, based off those of the captains quarters from the ZAFT ship Minerva, he stripped off his clothes, realising that he needed to create some clothes, other than his Mjolnir armour, and climbed into the very comfortable bed and fell asleep.
-{[Dimensional Castaway]}-
The next morning after taking care of nature John used the rooms Starfleet replicator to create several Kull warrior under armour layers, several additional Spartan-II nanocomposite body-suites and two dozen sets of British twenty-first century battledress uniforms in black and combat boots, all reinforced with a naquadah/ trinium weave along with a few ODST style tactical vests for everyday use. After donning a set he headed back to the bridge, where the system reported that there had been no sensor contacts or other anomalies activity within the system.
When John had gone to bed, his simple mining operation had only three full sets of mining drones in operation, now the reports were showing he had six of his planed ten sets active and the processing was beginning to amass sizeable and measurable quantities of both the local minerals, mostly Quantium 40, and the ones needed for the upkeep of the Tsunami-II, naquadah, trinium and carbon, and that the small stockpiles of ores was starting to mount up.
With all of that going smoothly, John headed for the mess hall in search of the greatest thing in existence, breakfast and coffee, before returning to the bridge to check on the probe cluster he had sent towards the Sol system.
Despite the fact that originally he was only 3600 light years from Sol prior to the jump, he was now nearly two months away if he used the local's version of hyperspace, in an area that was unclaimed by anyone, but was on the boarder of three different powers, the Narn, the Centauri and Earth. It had taken the probes almost twenty-four hours to reach Sol due to their smaller Goa'uld style hyper-drive, but so far the data that they had collected had allowed him to access the local version of the internet, it turned out that he had arrived a little over a month after the Dilgar War, giving him nearly a decade to uplift Earth to something which would make the disaster that was the Minbari first contact something safer, especially if he could get Jankowski out of the picture before the mission.
His initial plan called for him to jump to Sol, somewhere around Neptune, and slowly enter the system transmitting peaceful greetings, but thanks to all of his mining over the last day he could now also offer them both mineral and technological help, namely United Earth Starfleet second generation gravity plating and phase cannons like that used on the NX-01 or possible Ra era Goa'uld shields, but he drew the line at giving them weapons greater than that of Romulan War or those from Apophis class Ha'tak's.
Realising he had time he continued his mining operation even going so far as to add an additional one hundred drones to his operation but stopped at that since his operation was in full swing. As enough material was refined he used the Asgard beaming system to refine it more and made a small Alteran/ Forerunner refinery to purifier it to the common levels used by the locals, and began to fill the secondary cargo bays with it.
With that accomplished he instructed a few dozen drones to begin construction of a zero point module construction site, it would be able to make three of the extremely powerful modules, meaning that when they came online he would be able to produce two at any one time. Even if they would take almost two months to manufacture them, he also began the construction of an orbital defence grid.
Using the design of Cairo, he replaced the seven M606 Goalkeeper point defence guns increasing the amount to give it better coverage while augmenting them with a mixture of mark XI phaser strips and Gatling pulse phaser and plasma cannons, similar to those on the Ancient ship Destiny. The main mark V super mass accelerator anti-ship cannon was changed to a highly compressed positron hyper impulse cannon based off the Agni hyper impulse cannon, that could one shot a Vorlon cruiser or Shadow battle-crab, he also added Colonies of Kobol style flak cannons with an overlapping field of fire while creating a full 360 degree flack field. These upgrades when coupled with three Atlantis class shields meant that nothing short of a coronal mass ejection would be able to destroy them, and since they would receive power from six cloaked naquadah energized enhanced neutrino ion reflex generators they wouldn't be lacking for power.
He also created a small dock connected to the refinery on the surface, that he created a copy of the Alteran/ Asgard/ Starfleet core with a copy of a Destiny class VI and transferred control of the under construction orbital defence platforms, mining/ construction operation and sensor platforms over to it, making sure to include his replicator controls and Asimov's robotic laws. This was his first major project and systematic upgrade. When it was complete and powered by its own proto-culture matrix, he used the upgraded control chair to reverse the process that the Scientia Repositio used and transferred a full copy of his consciousness and memories, even his new ones into the core.
With all that done he began refining his first contact plan, and the list of technology he would offer Earth.
"Right, they are going to wonder why I'm the only one aboard, and with such advanced technology, okay since I don't exactly look human anymore I'll give them a story based on the Homeworld game. We were testing a new FTL when where attacked and jumped back to our home world, upon our return we discovered that our world was destroyed. It was being consumed by a plasma firestorm, along with all of orbital colonies and facilities, we only picked up the IFF of one of our newer capital ships in the asteroid field, show them an image of the Minerva Millennium class from SEED Freedom, and since we only had a skeleton crew we decided to evacuate to it. Most of the crew had transferred when we were attacked again causing the new drive to activate and send me here. I'll have to use the core to create some logs and left over belongings of the other crew but it should be plausible give the way in which the Dilgar were attacking the League of Non-Aligned worlds."
The months passed by and finally the ZPM factory finished the construction of the first batch of modules, so John wasted no time installing three of them into the Tsunami-II, bringing all of the additional upgrades that he had done to the ship, including replacing two banks of Zentradi style anti-ship missiles with Alteran drones, online while securing the remaining modules in a secure shielded underground bunker within the dock.
With the Tsunami-II now fully powered on its own power only rather than having to power the dock, all systems came back online, and the diagnostics reported that all systems, weapons, and hyper-compact Quantium 40 powered jump engine and both cloaks. Full diagnostics were ran and John needed to make a few tweaks and adjustments that weren't possible without being disconnected from the docks power systems. The Tsunami-II now purred like the powerful dreadnought in a battleships skin that he had originally envisioned with its Atlantis class tri-quantum computer core and other systems.
-{[Dimensional Castaway]}-
Having spent nearly six months on the planet, which he had named Kharak, and harvested a sizeable amount of materials as well as bringing the first orbital defence platform online, John constructed a dozen Destiny style maintenance drones equipped with both Asgard and Starfleet replicators and an entire secondary cargo bay that was filled with inactive nanites connected to the new maintenance pipes that spread throughout the ship like veins for future repairs, and used the point defence cannons on the first completed orbital defence cannon to make it look as if the ship had been attacked and had manufactured several hull plates to look like minor hull repairs. He also filled an additional two cargo bays with refined supplies of the local minerals and those needed to maintain the Tsunami-II, with a shielded cargo hold full of Quantium 40.
After making sure that the yard complex's VI was online, he decided to claim the planet in the crazy tradition of the Alterans by constructing a one hundred and forty meter tall obelisk with the entire Alteran and Asgard alphabets and numerical system's. The only complete phrase in both was the name of the planet, Kharak, to identify it to all and in a fit of humour he added a phrase from Transformers 'Till all are one'.
-{[Dimensional Castaway]}-
With the Tsunami-II all set to go, and his base locked down, John prepared for his journey to Sol and did a pre-flight. "Computer, given current location of Kharak and Sol, estimate the location of Neptune, calculate travel time using hyper-drive at Goa'uld Ha'tak type I speed." John ordered as he moved from the plot table, which was showing the progress of his mining base and defence grid construction, towards the command chair.
"Specified location is 3600.75 light years from current location. Using specified drive location is two months distant." The computers mono-toned voice responded.
"Hmm, Earth has just celebrated Halloween for 2232 the other day, so at that speed I should arrive the day before New Year's Eve." He said walking past the tactical station that was behind the Alteran command chair. "It looks like I might be able to spend New Year's Eve on Earth, I wonder how this version of Earth looks."
John walked along the short walkway that linked the control chair on the isolated and slightly raised control chair, in the centre of the area, and sat down enjoying for the first time the new leather like smell from the Kull-warrior like material that made up the padding. As he got comfortable with his hands resting in the neural interface gel on the arm rests and ordered. "Computer release docking clamps and clear all moorings, and take the ship into standard orbit."
"Acknowledged." The computer replied, communicating with the surface stations own VI. After several minutes the Tsunami-II entered into orbit, having passed the first of the completed orbital defence platforms. "Tsunami-II now in standard orbit of planet designated as Kharak." The computer announced.
"Right that's the simple part." John mused, "Alright, computer launch a cluster of multi-spatial social research satellites under cloak to the following Earth Alliance colonies, Beta Durani, Deneb IV, Orion system, Proxima III and Vega, establish and maintain a sub-space data link with them and Kharak station alpha. "Acknowledged. Estimated time until all clusters are on station one hundred seventy hours. Probes launching." Answered the computer, as John felt the small shudder as the probes where launched from the two hangers linear catapults before he watched as their Destiny class hyper-drives jumped the probes out with a flash of Cherenkov radiation.
After watching the sensor readings and checking that the sub-space data link was active John gave his next order. "Computer break orbit and engage hyper-drive to just outside Neptune's orbit, cruising speed." He adjusted the chair so that he wasn't in the standard reclined position when active, to a more natural one, so he could see the main view screen. He watched as the view changed as the curve of the planet below as the Tsunami-II turned so that it was pointed towards the Sol system and left the planets gravity well. Of course he felt none of this thanks to the ships highly advanced inertia dampeners. A few seconds later the Tsunami-II jumped into hyper-space.
With the ship on course John left the bridge heading down to the small hanger to work on his own personal project. He had realised that during his stocking of the primary cargo bays with the mined minerals and various UEG Starfleet and MACO weapons that while the SHADOW was ideal for long-stealth recon missions, its lack of missile based armaments meant it was seriously disadvantaged in anti-fighter/ ship combat roles, so he had begun developing a number of packages similar to those from the FAST packs used in Macross.
The design he had picked was similar to those used on the YF-19 from Macross Plus due to the similar designs of the two craft, but he had replaced the two types of micro-missiles with miniaturized Starfleet quantum torpedo's as well as Asgard plasma missiles, along with a number of decoy drones and sensor flares, he didn't need to increase the number of engines, since the puddle jumper pulsed gravimetric ion engines were more advanced than anything used by the locals, plus with two months until he reached Sol it would give him something to do other than use the ships gym or holodeck for exercise.
-{[Dimensional Castaway]}-
Everything was quiet, which was no surprise. Io patrol was always uneventful, so much so that a number of officers called it 'Farm Patrol' due to the large number of agricultural domed colonies on the surface of Ganymede. The route of the old Scirocco class patrol ship EAS Torelan Star was a standard one, traveling between station Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto even in peacetime the route needed to be watched for the occasional raiders and pirates attacking the smaller mines and H3 facilities. Captain Samantha Talif was stood, using her magnetic boots, by the upper deck plot table, drowning in paper work, as the young crew worked. This patrol wasn't an insult, she knew that those fresh from the academy needed some real ship time, and this was safe since a lot of the new frontline ships, like the Hyperion classes, where engaged on patrols around the league assisting with the rebuilding now that the 'cats' had died with their systems star going nova.
Talif was so wrapped up in her paperwork that she almost missed her comm-links beep of an incoming call, knowing only her XO or the deck officer would interrupt her. She looked at her new XO, her old one having been given command of one of the few older flight XXIV Oracle class still active, who was at the scanner station fiddling with the controls and double checking the readouts.
"Report!" She ordered, glad of the break from her paperwork.
"Ma'am, Io is tracking a battleship weight ship coming in from the outer system in our area of operations, and is heading for Earth. Its speed is equal to a Vorchan class. Should I broadcast a warning?" The XO asked, knowing that they really only had a boat full of children, as he looked over his shoulder at Talif. Samantha simply nodded, tapping the screen so that her paperwork was saved.
Suddenly her communications officer spoke from the lower level, which was almost directly under the small upper command level. "Captain we're receiving a response. Hmmm" he trailed off murmured thoughtfully as he tapped his consoles before giving a start of surprise. "Sorry for the delay ma'am, it is just that the language they are using is awfully close to that of Medieval Latin." She said placing the untranslated message that was repeating on the main speakers.
"Haec est navis Spatii Zentradi Navy Mandati Tsunami-II licentiam petens ut systema ingrediendi, pacatum missionem contactus et mercaturae sum…"
"That's strange." Agreed Samantha, wondering how an un-encountered race could be speaking a language that hadn't been spoken on Earth for nearly two thousand years. "Can you translate it comm's?"
"Despite the similarities there is a number of differences in the vocabulary and a number of phonemes…" The comm-officer muttered, his fingers now practically dancing over the touch screen of his station as a distinctively male sounding voice came over the old bridges speaker.
Samantha could understand instantly what the comm-officer meant, thanks to her degree in history and languages, in that this did in fact sound familiar, in a way that was nagging at the mind like an itch that she just couldn't scratch. Finally after about a minute the message changed into Earth Alliance standard, along with a small cry of success from the comm-officer, as it was translated in near real time thanks to the computer. "…this is the Zentradi Navy Space Command ship Tsunami-II requesting permission to enter the system, I am on a peaceful mission of contact and trade. Repeat. This is the Zentradi Navy Space Command ship Tsunami-II…"
"This is Captain Samantha Talif of the EAS Torelan Star. You are entering Earth controlled space. Please reduce your speed and come to a full stop." She ordered gently, while hiding her surprise at the familiar words, but she was sure it was just the computers translation software. The program was hardly perfect when translating other languages, even those from among the League. There was a short lag, despite being only a hundred million miles, before there was a response.
"Understood." Was the one word response as the scanners pinged showing that the ship had begun to slow down.
"Wow, they are really slamming on the breaks at something around twenty-seven g's, ma'am," Said the secondary sensor operator in surprise.
A moment later the command deck got their first visual look at the ship, which had somehow entered into the solar system, as it entered into their limited visual scanners range. "Magnify." Samantha ordered her scanner technician, containing her amazement at the Zentradi ship. The view on the majority of the displays changed from the sonar type display that the Torelan Star used for her scanners to show a ship that was graceful looking like the 'cats' ships had been, but was also clearly designed on a function over form basis, and had some signs of damage to her armour plating. Its dark blue colour making it look almost grey and hard to see, but she came to one conclusion very quickly.
"Ma'am, that's a battleship." Her XO said. "Scans are being partially deflected, but we are seeing at least two large turrets, smaller ones arranged in a point defence grid and a minimum of two VLS style tubes on the aft section, Captain, I think she also has some type of fighters judging on the location of those bays."
"Energy readings?"
"We are getting some energy emissions from the ship, these energy readings are off the scale ma'am. It could be because the scanner are being partially deflected so we can't get a clear read, or we just don't understand how there technology works."
"Ma'am they are coming to a relative stop a hair over twenty kilometres away." The helmsman reported nervously since his station was one of the few that had a duel viewer and scanner screen, and given this was his first assignment out of the academy, he wasn't liking what he was hearing or could see on bit.
"Easy ensign." Samantha said over the comm-link, though internally her heart was hammering away like a jack rabbit. "They seemed rather friendly in their original message, let's not hit the panic button for Io just yet. Hail them."
"I've got them, audio only ma'am." The comm-officer said patching it over the main speakers.
"Greetings again Torelan Star, I am Colonel S'Jet of the Zentradi naval vessel Tsunami-II." The voice was different, slightly more animated, and Samantha got the impression that she was actually talking to a living being and the earlier message had been a recording. She also noticed the use of familiar human terms, and stared at her XO, who frowned as he looked over the master display on the communications systems only to shrug helplessly. "I apologize for unintentionally breaching you space. How you would you like me to proceed?" Asked S'Jet, his voice sounding obviously male and human, it was also nervous sounding, amusing Samantha a small amount.
"Stand-by Tsunami-II while I contact command and see how they wish to proceed. Torelan Star out." She said signalling to close the channel. "Understandable, I will just hold station here then." He replied. It was strange how human, and young this colonel S'Jet sounded, as well as how fast he had translated his language into English, unless they had been monitoring Earth radio signals for the last few centuries and had based some of their culture off of them. It wouldn't be the first time that had happened as the Brakiri had done something similar. "Open a priority ultra-violet gold channel to Earth dome."
-{[Dimensional Castaway]}-
John stayed sat in the control chair waiting. 'At least they didn't open fire on me.' He thought as he did a passive scan of Sol to what he knew from both the series and the cores data banks. The first thing he noticed was the amount of military ships and stations, no orbital defence platforms but lots of rail and missile stations, next he detected at least two dozen Von Braun type space stations with the largest next to the primary jump gate. He was shocked at that as in the show the Io jump gate was shown as being nearer to Jupiter than its moon. Finally he was detecting not only the two shadow battle crabs, or rather the localised distortion field blocking tachyon scanners, but also a fair sized deposit of both naquadah and trinium in Saturn's rings. He'd already thought of nearly a dozen ways to use the Asgard sensors and transporters to destroy the nearest of the two, with the easiest being to beam two naquadah quantum torpedoes on a short fuse directly into a space large enough, when he was broken out his planning as the communications system started to beep.
"Tsunami-II, this is Torelan Star we are sending you coordinates and an approach vector to Io Station, you may dock there via a shuttle." Samantha said over the channel.
"Thank-you, I'm moving now." John replied, trying to hide his nervousness as he noticed the Torelan Star and two Starfurries move into an 'escorting' position. Although even he understood the very clear message they were sending, 'If you make one wrong move, you will be shot.'
He turned the Tsunami-II slowly, effortlessly matching the speed of the other ship, and set course to the largest station on auto-pilot. He was nervous, how could he not be as despite everything that had happened to him in the last few months he had never actually 'met' aliens or been in space before. Now he was about to go over to a massive station representing Earth while being the alien himself. With the ship on course he headed down to the armoury where he got into one of the Mjolnir armours, he figured he wouldn't need that much fire power, so only grabbed a Covenant energy sword, a single 2399 phaser and a compressed type 3 phaser rifle, as he had always loved the TNGera movie weapon. Of course he had the knowledge and skills to shoot and fight, but he had only ever fired a L98-A2 when he was a teen at some paper and wood targets, so he had no idea how he would feel if he actually had to shoot or kill somebody.
After donning his armour, he headed down to the hanger deck and boarded one of the ARGO's to go over to station.
-{[Dimensional Castaway]}-
Lieutenant Lewis Krantz was standing just past one of the few diplomatic docking bays on Io station as he and the small honour guard, that had hastily been assembled, awaited the arrival of the Zentradi commander. Frankly he was a little peeved at their arrival as he was just about to go off-duty, while scaring living daylights out of both the alien and civilian ships, not to mention making all the near-by military ships and defences go on high alert instigating a nightmare as everyone and their mother panicked. If he was higher in rank he would love to have something to say about it to the alien commander when they got here, instead of escorting them to the wardroom for commander Foxworth to start the initial diplomatic overture.
Suddenly the pressure door to the bay opened from the docking bays, a moment before a seven foot tall being in what was either armour, an encounter suit or both walked through. As the being drew near, and passed through the security scanners, everyone noticed that it had two weapons on its being.
"Welcome to Earth Alliance station Io." Krantz said. "I'm Lieutenant Lewis Krantz, and on behalf of commander Foxworth and the Alliance, welcome."
"Greetings leftanent," John answered, his voice slightly distorted by his helmet, but everybody took noticed he was speaking in perfect English with a British accent. "I am Colonel S'Jet of the Kiithrid S'Jet commander of the Tsunami-II, and on behalf of my ship and race it is a pleasure to be here. I believe we will have a great deal to talk about as it has been nearly fifty thousand cycles since any of our race visited this sector of the galaxy due to our time of isolation and rebuilding, but it is time to meet the neighbours so to say."
This shocked the greeting party, since it would seem that the Zentradi had been in this area of the galaxy around the time of Earths last great ice age. Krantz recovered quickly however. "As this is an Earth Alliance port, I am afraid that you will have to leave any weapons here or on your transport sir, as regulations state that no none Earth personal will be allowed to carry weapons on the station." He said, looking apologetic.
John smirked behind his helmet, but kept his voice neutral. "Are you trying to insult me leftenant Krantz?" He asked.
"I'm sorry?" Krantz asked his confusion evident.
"I am a Zentradi warrior. I've seen worlds and places you haven't even dreamed of! I have seen attack ships on fire off the Asgard nebular. I watched as quantum reflex beams glittered in the dark near Optera IX! I've fought terror that would make you crawl under you bed over the last two thousand cycles. Do not believe that you can begin to tell me that I cannot be armed." His body was ridged like a statue for a few seconds before he broke down laughing like a drunken Klingon, making the whole room relax. "It is alright Mr Krantz I'll return my weapons to my transport, but know this you are now 'personally' responsible for my safety, and it will be you who my people will call for to enter the pit of Tannhauser if anything happens."
"On my honour as an Earth Alliance officer, I give you my word that nothing will happen to you colonel."
"Very well." John said before turning and returning back to the Argo. Even without his energy sword and phaser's he would still have his omni-tool and the integrated Wraith stunner that was built into his armour, he also had programmed the Starfleet style transporter on the Tsunami-II to keep a constant lock on him in case of emergency.
After a moment he returned, though unknown to the Earth Force offices he was far from unarmed, and turned to face Krantz. "Happy, leftenant." He asked calmly.
"Thank-you sir." he replied, glade he hadn't caused a major diplomatic incident before first contact had even officially started due to regulations. "This way please." He said as he looked at the still armoured seven foot tall being.
"After you leftenant." John answered as he had no idea where he was meeting this commander Foxworth, and despite having used the sensors on the shuttle to get a detailed scan, this was actually the first time he had been in space. The scans had been partially out of curiosity, as even the core had no real data about this type of station hell it was still only theoretical back in his own dimension, and partly so that the Tsunami-II's VI could keep a track of him real time.
Krantz smiled and gave a nod before leading the way from the docking bays deeper into the station. The marine honour guard falling into formation behind as they were trained to do, while providing a security detail.
As he walked John thought about what he had said back in the docks, concerned as though he had gave his best impression of a drunken Klingon belly laugh, he had actually felt like he had lived the things he had described more than what he knew from the repository since he had actually felt the heat and smoke from overloaded consoles. First chance he got he was going to activate the Alteran enhanced Starfleet EMH to see exactly what it was that Minerva had done to him. The greeting hadn't gone that badly, aside from him not being allowed to have his weapons, which he knew from the show and he could understand even if he wasn't sure that he could actually take a life yet. 'Hopefully the rest of this will go as smoothly.' He thought, figuring that only time would tell.
