[After the ball]
Gothel raged! She ran home and threw things around her small cottage. She managed to buy herself a small house with her belongings in and she got everything she could find and threw it around.
"No, no, no!" screamed Gothel. "That was my thone!"
She grabbed a flower pot and threw it on the wall and it broke into multiple pieces and it fell on the floor and soil splattered everywhere. Gothel was angry and upset and lay down on her bed sobbing. She looked at her cupboard and opened it and gazed at the mirror. This was how Layla got herself killed, a mirror! Gothel hid it for the past ten years and she finally decided to hang it on her wall.
"Oh look at how magnificent you are." said Gothel, staring at her reflection. "Being a mirror must be wonderful, I wish I was... inside of you. The whole world and my emotions would evaporate. Oh mirror mirror on the wall, what would my life be like if I didn't fall?"
Suddenly, blue smoke filled inside of the mirror and a face appeared on it.
"Different indeed." said the mirror.
Gothel was shocked and stumbled back.
"It's alright." said the mirror. "No need to be scared."
"You-you're alive?" asked Gothel.
"Indeed I am, Gothel. I am! And now that you have summoned me, I can help you get everything you want with my knowledge."
"You can bring Layla back from the dead?" asked Gothel in joy.
"Ha!" laughed the mirror. "Even my magic has its limits."
"So you can teach me how to do it?"
"I have been taught magic for a long time and have mastered the skill and I've come to learn that it can help with many problems but it has its laws. It can't change the course of Fate, it can't make you fall in love and it can't bring back the dead."
"Yet I need all of those for me to get what I want. Make Jared fall in love with me, bring Layla back from the dead and change the course of Fate to make sure Layla never left Rosas... alive."
"You have a wicked heart," smirked the mirror. "I like you."
"I will determine whether I return the favour based on your outcome of my happy ending."
"Oh, it is going to take a long time for you to perfect magic, are you ready for the wait?"
"One year, a decade, century? I am a patient woman, as long as I get what I want in the end, I don't mind the wait."
[13 years later]
It had been thirteen years of Gothel being tutored by the mirror and to learn magic. She had mastered and perfected many skills such as teleportation, pyrokinesis, transformation, shape-shifting and heart-ripping. She was practising her pyrokinesis skills at noon and aiming her fireballs at targets and hit the middle each time.
"Mirror mirror on the wall," smirked Gothel. "Guess who just beat them all."
"You did." said the mirror as the face came in blue smoke in the mirror. "Well done. You have mastered five skills of magic."
"When can I learn more?"
"I'm sorry, Gothel. People born without magic can only learn five skills of their choosing, in order to master more you'd need to be a magical creature or have a magical object in your possession."
"I have you."
"And that's how you've perfected mirror enchantments."
"Ugh. So am I ready?"
"Yes, yes indeed. It's time for you to show Eva who the true queen is. Ask away."
"Mirror mirror on the wall, show me Eva in her great hall."
The mirror morphed from its face and blue smoke surrounded it and it showed Queen Eva in her palace with King Jared.
"Our life seems so wonderful, Jared." said Queen Eva.
"Indeed it is," said King Jared. "The kingdom has never seen a day as bright as today and our daughter is getting greater by the passing hour."
"But there is something missing in my life. A long time ago, I wasn't a very nice person. During this time, I have earned the trust and fixed my past with most of the people whom I have done wrong... except one."
"Gothel?"
"Yes."
"But why? I remember her from the ball and she tried to ridicule you."
"Everyone deserves a second chance, Jared. I've got mine, why can't she?"
"As usual, you are always right."
Blue smoke took away the image and the face had returned.
"She's going to forgive me?" smiled Gothel.
"You're going to forgive her?" asked the mirror.
"We have been with each other for thirteen years... of course not! Do you not know me at all?! I am going to use this as her weakness and my strength. This will be the downfall of Queen Eva."
"You really are going to be an evil queen."
[In the woods near the palace]
"Gothel?" asked Queen Eva. "I've got your message and I'm here."
"Long time no see." said Gothel from behind her.
Eva was scared to see her behind her.
"H-Hello! How have you been?" asked Queen Eva.
"Not bad but clearly not as good as you being queen." replied Gothel in an eerie tone.
"So what have you been doing for the past decade?" asked Queen Eva.
It was clear that Queen Eva was scared at the tone Gothel was in but she tried to keep on a smiling face even though it was hard.
"I've decided to... take on a new skill over these thirteen years."
"Really? Which?"
Gothel pulled out her hand and a fireball lit on it, "Magic." and she extinguished the flame.
"Oh... that's-that's amazing."
"Thank you."
"Whave have you been learning about magic?"
"Oh, I've mastered the maximum amount of skills an ordinary mortal can learn: teleportation, pyrokinesis, transformation, shape-shifting and one more which I think you will enjoy..."
Gothel punched her hand at Eva's chest and it went through her ribcage. Eva screamed in pain and Gothel pulled out a red gem out of Eva with a small taint of blackness and it was beating.
"What is that?" shouted Eva.
"A heart," smiled Gothel. "Your heart."
"Wha-"
"Silence!" ordered Gothel and Eva quietened. "Wow, that truly is amazing. The way once you master the skill of heart-ripping you get access to this spectacular organ. The heart's capabilities in my hand give me access to controlling, talking from your mouth, accessing your emotions and even better... killing you."
Gothel crushed the heart and it turned into dust and flew from her hand and whilst that was happening, Queen Eva went to the floor... dead."
