Chapter 1325
Won My Heart
Cameron and John went first on the zip line. It was a little more aggressive than she first thought. She decided she was going to assist Holly with the girls. Gail and Jesse conducted a quick conversation. Gail volunteered to do it instead. Jesse and Claire would be instructed by Hanna.
It pleased John when Gail asked to do it. He would be able to remain together with Cameron. He felt very confident with her at his side. He also appreciated it because Cameron thought of the safety of the girls first. The run seemed safe enough to him. It was always better to be safe than sorry.
He saw images of Cameron on her wild ride at Palm Springs. Where they were now, would be nothing like what she needed to do. He didn't like the way she did a lot of things. She still did them anyway. By using the cable for the aerial tram like a zip line, she was able to catch the cable car and intercept the female Skynet Terminator. There was a brief battle when the hostile Terminator forced the door open of the cable car before it reached the base station and jumped out. Cameron leaped off the top of the cable car and went after her. Cameron forced her to go down the east side of the building. Cammy was waiting there for her and Tasered her.
The Reese clan didn't have a problem with the zip lines and really enjoyed it. Sarah seemed especially amped up with it. Jan and Summer looked like pros. It was Claire who showed some apprehension. Jesse and Hanna coaxed her on and she gave it a try. She was really jazzed with it once she tried it. It was rather exhilarating for someone who never used one before.
There were four runs and everyone did them all at least three times. Several times the sky was filled with Resistance members going in all directions.
Gail understood the semi-submersible was educational and 'fun'. The zip line was 'fun'. Maybe Jesse and her could try some 'fun' things for once when they went out. Maybe if they made it a foursome with Claire and Hanna, they could do 'fun' things for a change. Savannah told her she needed to do more 'fun' things.
She was pleased with the fun things Jan and Summer showed her. She wanted to do those things with Jesse too. She really believed Jesse needed to get away from her past and look to her future, her new future. The direction of her life needed to be forward, not backwards. There was hope and opportunity going forward. There was only pain and death going backwards.
Maybe she didn't like Jesse spending so much time with Claire. She believed Claire made Jesse a better person and helped expand her outlook. She was a very positive influence on Jesse to move away from the past. Claire would also be able to help Jesse with a number of domestic issues. She believed they would be very important in the near future. She didn't know the exact timing.
Gail could see the 'motherly instincts' sprout in Jesse when she started nursing Precious. Claire would be the best one to help Jesse when Young Jesse, or her mother, 'helped' her out with a child. Sacrifice was the true test of love. She was willing to sacrifice to allow Jesse to have a better and meaningful life. It was very important to her. She hoped Duplicate Cameron and River were able to fix Duplicate Jesse in some way. She suffered from the same issues Jesse did. Perhaps one day she would be able to find out.
Cameron and John seemed to really enjoy being with each other and to be able to share in many different ways. She was content in the fact there were Terminators all around them. There was plenty of firepower in the van to back them up. Still, there was the danger of being out of the fortified base. It potentially exposed John to Grays, the Fanatics and the anti-Metal faction. She always kept an eye out for any trouble.
John was really having a good time with Cameron. He noticed her left hand started to glitch. He wasn't sure if he should address it or not. He decided he wanted to. He cared about Cameron and didn't want her bothered by something. If there was a problem he wanted to deal with it.
"Is everything alright?" John asked Cameron quietly.
Cameron moved her left hand behind her.
"I'm fine." Cameron said.
She was worried about John being assassinated because of his 'involvement' with her. She was supposed to be there to protect him. At the same time, she could be the cause of his termination as a 'Metal Lover'. In her case, she was his 'Metal lover', quite literally. It was never a pleasant thought for her. She couldn't help but think about the previous incident. It was more than just the incident with Future Riley and Future Jesse. They were also other Resistance fighters who came back from the future, a future. They didn't want to give John a grand reception.
John was worried about Cameron. He believed whatever the problem was, it was his fault. He wondered if what they were doing with the other female Terminators under Cameron's control bothered her more than she realized originally. He didn't want her to take the blame for it. He was as much a part of it as she was. He was willing to step up and face the music.
"Did I do anything wrong or inappropriate?" John asked. "If I have, I want you to tell me specifically. I'll do whatever I have to do to make you feel better."
John's question made Cameron feel sad. He didn't do anything wrong. He actually accommodated her with all of her desires and wishes. She was able to achieve something very unique by being a virgin multiple times with the different chassis. Since she reset her programming every time on the initial encounter, everything was as if it was the 'first time'.
"No." Cameron said. "You haven't done anything wrong or inappropriate."
John could see Cameron was troubled still. He wondered if there was an incident or an issue somewhere else. He didn't think so. It seemed like a personal issue for Cameron.
"How can I help you?" John asked. "Tell me what's wrong. Please, I want to do what I can."
Cameron was unsure what to say other than the truth. It was the truth as she believed it. She looked around to make sure no one could hear them. She didn't want anyone to hear what she said.
"The girls aren't helping me. I asked them to help me protect you." Cameron said. "NONE of them are helping me like I want them to. I don't ever ask for much from anyone."
John caught her drift. He knew how it was an obsession for her. It seemed to get worse for her as time went on. Things were like that for her, and this one was long running. It was going on for years. It started when Allison and Vanna were 'available' to him. She wanted them at his side as it was in her future. People could see Future John loved human females and had children. He wasn't just a 'Metal Lover'. He wasn't 'controlled by machines'. Later on, Jesse was added to the mix.
He knew it was time to 'man up'. He knew what Cameron wanted him to do. He believed his exposure with Cameron using the other chassis, was done to show him there was nothing holding him back any longer. He knew what awaited him. He was ready to take it to the next level. He had to know it was what Cameron really wanted. It had to be what everyone wanted as well. He knew from before the girls were hesitant to do it because they didn't want to hurt Cameron.
"I'll do whatever you want as long as it's what you really want." John said. "Whoever YOU personally put in my bed, I'll accept it as what you want."
Cameron's face instantly brightened. She smiled and gave John a kiss. She felt as if a giant weight was lifted off of her shoulders. She wanted to complete her mission. It was very frustrating to be unable to do so. A Terminator's mission shouldn't be drawn out over a period of years, unless it was a long term infiltration mission.
"Thank you, John." Cameron said.
John could see Cameron's demeanor change. Soon she looked 'happy' again. He was up for whatever Cameron wanted him to do. He was ready to up his game. With all the different chassis Cameron provided him with. He was acclimated to a little 'strange' at this point. It was a dream 'come' true for him in more ways than one. If it pleased Cameron on top of it, it was even better.
He was pleased to see how animated Cameron was after their brief discussion. He knew he wasn't going to be able to renege on what he said without causing a major problem for her. He hoped doing what she wanted wasn't going to cause a major problem for her as well. He didn't think it would. She understood how relationships work now. The girls were able to show her everyone can have some fun. At the end of the day, they still knew who they belonged to. Nobody experienced a problem with it.
The group still had some more time before their tour of the island began. They made maximum use of the zip lines.
Cammy was in Savannah's room at Cameron's base. She wanted to place herself in standby because she was worried about Savannah. She tried to get it together to stop the glitch.
She heard two Terminators arrive outside the door. The glitch ended. The extra muscle is what did it. She didn't like the implication. She was able to refocus. CamNet perceived her as a 'threat' and sent some 'enforcers' to watch over her and deactivate her if necessary. She wasn't the one who was a threat to Savannah.
It was time to make some plans and set everything in motion. She could speed things along. She took out her phone and started making calls. She expected CamNet to block them at some point. It didn't happen. It soon dawned on her why CamNet didn't interfere. It was because sacrifice was the true test of love. It appeared CamNet was testing herself. It wasn't what Cammy wanted to happen either.
She really wondered who was testing who.
CamNet was aware of what Cammy was up to. She needed to make a choice. She made it as she danced with Savannah and watched the activities inside the Young residence.
Savannah did the Tango the best she could with CamNet tethered to her main frame. She finished the dance and CamNet was bent backwards in front of her.
"It was beautiful." CamNet said.
Savannah didn't think she was precise enough. She needed much more practice to be able to do it perfectly.
"I don't think it would win any dance contests." Savannah said.
It seemed special to CamNet and it was what mattered right now.
CamNet stood and faced Savannah. She wanted her to know how she felt.
"It won my heart." CamNet said.
CamNet moved close to Savannah and they kissed softly.
Savannah returned the kiss in the same way.
CamNet deepened the kiss but still kept it soft.
Savannah could see CamNet was reaching out to her. She wasn't being aggressive about it either. CamNet was knocking on her door. She placed CamNet's hands on her breasts and she touched CamNet's breasts. Everything was done gently. It was an act of asking for love instead of sex.
She led CamNet over to the blanket and they slowly undressed each other as they gently touched and kissed. CamNet laid Savannah on her back. This time, CamNet slowly worked on her. CamNet wanted to repeat what she first did with her.
Savannah thought it was very special and caring.
CamNet worked against the clock right now for what she knew was the 'right thing' to do. She wanted to share the special love with Savannah first. Cameron always told her Savannah would do the 'right thing'. It was what she wanted to do as well.
When Anna and Young Allison finished one of their dances, Anna received a message from Cammy. She didn't like the interruption. She knew Young Allison would be thrilled. Young Allison mattered to her more.
"What else would you like to do today?" Anna asked.
Young Allison stiffened a little. Her initial fear was something may have gone wrong. She didn't want to get sidelined somewhere else and miss out on the action. If they needed to take the fight to the enemy, they needed to take the fight to the enemy.
"Is there an operation developing?" Young Allison asked.
It wasn't where Anna was headed. It was the last thing they needed.
"What?" Anna asked. "No."
Young Allison looked relieved.
"I was worried about Savannah." Young Allison said.
Anna could see how Savannah being out in the field affected Young Allison more and more. She wanted her to enjoy herself a little.
"I meant for you to do some fun things." Anna said.
Young Allison's face brightened up.
"Why didn't you say so in the first place?" Young Allison asked. "You made me worried for nothing."
Young Allison needed to study too. She could probably get a little less sleep tonight to squeeze it all in. There was only so much time in the day, and something needed to give. Sleep was the easiest thing to sacrifice to get more time out of a day. It wasn't the easiest on the body. It taxed everything else which occurred the next day. Doing it over and over slowly wore the body out.
Anna filled Young Allison in on Cammy's plan. She would get to be with Savannah and see her family. She could get some flight time in too.
Young Allison was thrilled.
"Let's get the Detail and go." Young Allison said.
Anna was aware CamNet put her effort into making sure everything would be ready.
"They'll be ready to go as soon as you're dressed for the occasion." Anna said.
Young Allison wanted to get ready as quickly as possible. She stripped off her pants and tossed them to Anna. She headed for her bedroom and pulled her top off on the way. She tossed it back at Anna.
Anna didn't see Young Allison remove her shoes. It must have happened right before she stripped off her pants. She watched Young Allison enter her room wearing only her socks and underwear.
Young Allison pulled out her fight suit and anything else she might need.
Anna watched her as she prepared to dress. It appeared Young Allison was going to skip some of her undergarments.
"Were you going to wear a bra?" Anna asked. "You know Savannah likes it when you do."
Young Allison looked down at the front of herself. She reached up and cupped herself. Things were happening fast but she didn't think it was necessary to wear one. She liked what was natural to be noticed. Savannah did like her to be 'covered'. It was a holdover from Vanna trying to prevent any male from looking at Savannah when they went out when she was younger.
Much to Anna's surprise, Young Allison removed her underwear. She was naked except for her socks.
"I think you should wear more, not less." Anna said.
Young Allison didn't want her to worry. It was more a matter of etiquette. Maybe it was style.
"Relax; I want a matching set." Young Allison said. "I don't want to look tacky."
Anna knew it was a 'dress code' tip from Cameron. She wanted her girls to look their best with whatever they wore. Appearance was important to John and they should always look their best when they were around him. Such would be the case later on.
"I'll help you get fixed up." Anna said. "John will see you too."
Young Allison wondered about the time.
"How much time do we have?" Young Allison asked. "We still have a forty five to fifty minute drive at seventy to seventy-five miles an hour."
Anna thought they were good on the time.
"A few minutes won't matter." Anna said.
Young Allison thought of another way to help save time.
"I can put my makeup on in the SUV." Young Allison said.
Anna didn't think it was necessary. There were other things she felt were more important.
"It won't take long. I'll assist you." Anna said. "Put your underwear on."
Young Allison smiled to herself. She liked Anna to see her how she was right now. She really didn't think it was a big deal. She was firm and perky. She thought she looked a lot like Cameron did in just about every way. She only hoped she could be as beautiful as Cameron one day.
Cam received the call from Cammy. It was a priority message. She could tell by the tone. She lifted her head from Samantha to take it.
"I'm sorry." Cam said. "It must be something important."
Samantha waved her hand in acknowledgement but continued what she was doing with Cam.
Cam found the call very distracting with what Samantha was doing since she was almost there.
She started her conversation with Cammy when she made it a few seconds later.
Cammy was unaware of what happened. She thought maybe the connection wasn't as good as it could have been. It happened from time to time.
Cam felt Samantha move out from under her. She then stood to finish the call.
Cammy filled her in on the details.
"We can be at the airport in an hour." Cam said. "How long will it be until Jesse and Claire are back here?"
Cammy wasn't sure. It depended on how events played out. She thought all the events could be accelerated somewhat. They didn't need to happen in the same order Cameron planned.
"The turn around should be less than two hours until Jesse and Claire are back at the Resistance base." Cammy said.
Cam wanted to check with Samantha first. It would leave Precious without Vanna or Jesse for a short time period.
"Hold on." Cam said.
Cam looked at Samantha and was about to ask her what she was good with.
Samantha smiled.
"I heard." Samantha said. "I can watch Precious for a few hours with no problem."
Cam nodded. She wanted to get things moving. It would give them more time on the ship. She let Cammy know the good news.
"We'll be at the plane in about an hour." Cam said. "I'll get everyone ready."
Vanna and Allison were in Riley's room sleeping. With the lack of sleep, because of all the sexual activity, they were tired. They hadn't expected to leave for two or three more hours and Jesse and Claire would be back first.
Cam spent a moment to look at them. She thought they looked beautiful sleeping side by side. It pained her some to know she was an interloper in their relationship. It was Cameron's fault, not hers. She knew they belonged together. She knew every Savannah Weaver and every Allison Young belonged together. It was time to get things started. She gently woke them.
Vanna opened her eyes. She saw Cam standing there naked. She understood what it meant. She thought Cam was there to make love again. She pulled Cam down on top of her. She doubted her performance would be very good, but she knew Cam's would be.
Cam gave her a kiss and stood up. Allison looked over to see what was going on. She quickly explained the situation. Both girls were onboard. They decided there was enough time to shower and get dressed. The few things they were going to take were already packed.
Vanna checked Precious and left with Allison to go back to their room.
Cam looked at Precious and then at Samantha. She wanted to give Samantha some more time to share with others.
"You can shower with them." Cam said. "Just keep it simple and have some fun."
Samantha was a little disappointed. She wasn't able to finish one last time because the phone call interrupted Cam. Now she could only shower with the girls because of the time constraints. At any rate, she did have a really good time the last few days.
The 'missed' finish would keep her looking for more in the future.
CamNet and Savannah made slow sweet love to each other after CamNet sent Savannah to heaven first. It was something she wanted to do. It sent a message of love to get the one you cared for 'there' and it was just for their benefit.
Savannah and CamNet shared one last tender kiss.
"I can stay longer if you want me to." Savannah said. "I don't have any set plans."
CamNet knew things actually changed. She wanted to make Savannah think about what else she needed to take care of.
"You wanted to see Young Allison later on." CamNet said.
Savannah did want to see her. She would rather stay with CamNet for a day. They shared a wonderful, beautiful experience.
"I can make it up to her." Savannah said. "I apologize again to you for being delayed multiple times when coming to see you. I think we made up for part of it today anyway."
CamNet knew how disappointed Young Allison would be. She didn't want Young Allison to feel dejected.
"You won't have to make it up to Young Allison." CamNet said. "I understand you're on a busy schedule and there's a war to fight. I don't want to be selfish. I appreciate what you shared with me. Your love is beautiful."
Savannah wondered if CamNet was kicking her out. It was the last thing she expected.
"I thought we shared our love beautifully." Savannah said.
CamNet smiled and gave Savannah a tight hug.
"We did." CamNet said. "This has been the most special day of my existence. You have a new mission."
Savannah instantly became alarmed. It usually only meant one thing.
"Did something happen?" Savannah asked.
She started looking for her clothes.
CamNet didn't want her to become alarmed.
"NO, no, no!" CamNet said. "It's a good thing."
CamNet quickly laid out the plan.
Savannah liked the idea. She wondered about its origination. She would have stayed all of the day and all of the night with CamNet.
"Whose plan was this?" Savannah asked.
CamNet didn't want any problems for Savannah and Cammy. She chose her words carefully.
"I'm the one who put it all together." CamNet said. "It seemed like a beautiful opportunity for everyone it will involve. I'll still be here. You know where to find me when your schedule permits. I understand the true trust of love."
Savannah saw it as a diplomatic answer. She decided to let it slide. She was sure there was some involvement from Cameron, Cammy, or Young Allison. Maybe it was all three of them. Maybe it was only one of them. Maybe it shouldn't matter. It was time to go with the flow.
CamNet picked up her underwear.
Savannah checked her time.
"Not so fast." Savannah said. "I'm going to dress you."
It sounded exciting to CamNet. She wanted to do the same thing for Savannah.
"Then I'll dress you." CamNet said.
It's what Savannah wanted. She needed to plan out the next step.
"It's the way I like it." Savannah said. "Notify Cammy if she is still here. We'll leave in fifteen minutes."
CamNet smiled. She knew exactly where Cammy was at. Cammy understood the true chest of love as well.
"Cammy is still here." CamNet said. "I appreciate her generosity."
Savannah wasn't so sure it was a message she should relay. She was sure it would be more like rubbing salt into a wound than anything.
She was where she was at right now because it was where she wanted to be. She made a promise to CamNet about what would happen. She knew she was only as good as her word. She knew it would bother both Cameron and Cammy for her to be where she currently was. She personally didn't think it was different from any other encounter with any other female, human or cyborg. She really didn't think some things needed to be as complicated as they were made to be at times by others.
Cameron kept a watch on the time. She rounded everyone up. It was time for them to move on to the next thing. Everything was all set up and ready to go.
John wanted to go over what they were about to do again.
"What's the island tour like again?" John asked.
Cameron knew it was a standard feature of Catalina adventures. It would just be done a little differently than normal.
"We'll go on a short trip and visit some of the sites around the island." Cameron said. "It will be done from a specialized vehicle. I think you'll be a little surprised when it arrives."
John wasn't really sure what the last part of her statement meant. He found out soon enough once the group was together and waited for the specialized vehicle.
Frank arrived with the medium sized open tour bus at the private recreation area. Dan put a portable step down on the ground to make entry easier.
"This is our tour bus and tour guides." Cameron said.
Everyone was as surprised as much as they weren't surprised with what was arranged.
Cameron directed Summer and Jan to sit in the front seat for the best view. The rest of the group boarded.
John and Cameron boarded last. They sat behind Jan and Summer, everyone left the seat for them.
John wondered about their 'tour guide'. It obviously wasn't a normal Terminator function.
"Is Dan really going to be our 'tour guide'?" John asked.
Cameron smiled at John. She wasn't about to leave anything to chance.
"Of course he is." Cameron said. "He previously took this very tour. He has everything on file. He could even use the tour guide's voice. It would be exactly what he experienced when he took the turn. You could share the same experience with him now."
John wondered about it. He wasn't sure if he should ask or not but it seemed like something they might want to decide beforehand.
"Was it a male or female tour guide?" John asked.
Cameron giggled.
"It was a female." Cameron said.
John didn't want to upset his mother or make the girls laugh.
"Maybe he should use his own voice then." John said.
Dan listened to their conversation.
"Affirmative…." Dan said.
His response caused Jan and Summer to giggle.
Frank made sure everyone was seated.
"I would like everyone to remain seated during the tour." Frank said. "We can stop anywhere along the way if someone wants a better look at something. Safety comes first on Catalina tours."
He pulled away from the private recreation area.
John was sure the driver of the tour Frank went on probably said the same thing. It actually made sense. He didn't think anyone would violated on purpose.
Dan spoke into a handheld microphone and began pointing out places of interest and local history as the tour bus moved through the main street. It turned around when it reached the area where they first got off the ship's tender and made a pass back the way they came. Dan filled in more information.
John was surprised to know there were two piers at one time. Some larger ships used to dock at them. The early generation of cruise ships were small enough to enter the port and tie up at the Green Pier. They were only about a third the size of their cruise ship.
The tour bus started up a steep hill to head into the interior and the location of the airport. The team all got a good look at the cruise ship as they neared the top of the climb. The elevation Advantage gave them a good look at everything below them and around them.
It was sort of a sad moment for those getting off. They all experienced a really great time on the ship.
Cameron noticed and said they would all see the ship again when they flew out.
John thought the hills all looked dry as soon as they started into the interior. He figured an island would look greener. He did remember back a few years when there was a massive fire. The Marines from Camp Pendleton sent a hovercraft full of fire trucks from the surrounding communities on the mainland to fight it.
He remembered watching the images on the news. The hovercraft drove up on the beach and lowered a ramp and the fire trucks drove off. We immediately started fighting the fire to protect the community of Avalon. It was actually quite impressive to watch.
The tour bus stopped.
"We have some unusual wildlife up ahead." Dan said. "Does anyone know what those are?"
After the recent encounter with the 'mermaid' under the water, they weren't sure what they were going to see. It could be anything from King Kong, or Sasquash, to a dinosaur. The weather wasn't nearly cold enough for it to be the Abominable Snowman. It was actually something just as out of place as any of those.
Riley looked up and thought they were some cows. They looked different. They seemed to have a lot of hair too. They looked big and wild.
Jan looked up and knew exactly what they were.
"They look like buffalo." Jan said.
Summer wanted to clarify things for her.
"They're actually bison." Summer whispered.
Jan wanted to correct her statement before someone else did, namely her mother.
"I mean bison." Jan quickly said.
Jan smiled at Summer.
Kyle remembered they roamed around the Great Plains originally. There was a lot of interaction with them when they built the first transcontinental railroad. He remembered reading they would stop trains for hours as they wandered across the tracks in massive herds. Catalina Island certainly wasn't the Great Plains. There was no way for them to have migrated there.
Strangely enough, he thought of when a politician who complained about all the flatulence, and resulting methane gas, released into the atmosphere from herds of dairy cows and other types of cattle. He wondered if anybody ever pointed out to the politician there probably wasn't a 'hole in the ozone' over the Great Plains because of the mass extermination of the millions of bison which surely would have resulted in such a tragic event.
"They seem a little out of their usual territory." Kyle said. "It seems like they would have needed to cross a couple of major mountain ranges."
Derek tried to be funny.
"Maybe they swam here." Derek said.
His ridiculous statement produced a round of laughter.
Dan explained in the nineteen thirties, they filmed a movie about the building of the transcontinental railroad. It was called 'Union Pacific'. They did some filming on Catalina and left the small bison herd behind after the film was done. Now there was a herd of bison who all were born on Catalina after the original ones grew old and died off. Catalina was the only home they ever knew. It was highly unlikely they would ever see snow during their lifetimes.
The tour continued.
Summer didn't want to upset the apple cart. She knew the remains of pygmy woolly mammoths were found on one of the Channel Islands. When the Earth was artificially cooled and experienced global cooling, more water was tied up as ice at the poles. It allowed land animals to walk across what would later become the ocean floor to reach the Channel Islands. As the Earth started to return back to its natural temperature, which it was nowhere close to reaching yet, the ice began to melt and the ocean reclaimed the land it lost.
She really couldn't understand why some individuals didn't understand the cycle of what actually was climate change. It involved hundreds of feet of sea level change, not a half of an inch. Based on the water level only forty-four thousand years ago, the sea level would rise another one hundred and sixty-seven feet as the Earth's temperature returned to 'normal'. People confused the concept of 'global cooling' with 'global warming' after the Earth was artificially cooled. Global warming couldn't actually occur until the natural temperature of the planet was reached. The reversal of 'global cooling' was a natural process.
Savannah gave CamNet a final kiss and said she would try to stop by when she could, but time was always short with all the operations.
CamNet tried to give Savannah a little more time by running her own operation on the side. She believed there were more important considerations.
"You need to remember your number one priority." CamNet said.
Savannah experienced a hard time keeping up with Cameron.
"I'll try." Savannah said. "Cameron runs a busy schedule."
CamNet touched her cheek and looked into her eyes.
"I'm talking about your real mate." CamNet said.
Savannah understood right away.
"I'll help and protect Young Allison any way I can." Savannah said.
The blast door opened.
"You'll see her soon." CamNet said.
Savannah exited and gave a final wave as the blast door closed. It struck her how CamNet gave up the opportunity to spend the night with her so she could be with Young Allison for the flight. The second blast door opened and Savannah exited. She saw Cammy dutifully waiting for her with a big smile on her face.
She realized both CamNet and Cammy sacrificed their feelings so she could be with others. They both passed the true test of love. They both sacrificed. They both did it willingly. She could tell Cammy was a little jealous at first. She wondered if CamNet would be the same one day. Maybe she was already. She understood none of them wanted to make her feel bad about her actions, even if they disapproved of them personally. They both wanted what was best for her.
"Hi, Cammy." Savannah said.
Cammy didn't want to talk about any of the events which occurred at Cameron's base. She wanted to move on.
"Everything will be ready when we get to Van Nuys." Cammy said. "Young Allison and Anna are on their way. So are Allison, Vanna, and Cam."
Savannah wondered how many were coming back.
"What's our return complement?" Savannah asked.
Cammy was unsure what the final count would be. She was sure there would be some last minute wrangling by Cameron in order to further get her way, and control all of the other girls.
"So far it is Riley, Derek, Sarah, Kyle and Jesse for sure." Cammy said. "Claire, Jan, and Summer may also return. Cameron wants them to stay."
Savannah knew why Cameron wanted Claire to stay. There wasn't much she could say about it. If Cameron wanted John and Claire to make love. it was up to the three of them. She didn't think it was necessary at this time. She figured Cameron would lean on her to stay. She wasn't going to unless somehow Cameron coerced Young Allison to stay. Life was complicated at times.
"It will be a full plane load of people if they all return." Savannah said.
Cammy knew it wasn't a problem. The weight wouldn't be a problem. It would probably be more of a problem of space.
"The plane was designed to carry a ton and a half payload." Cammy said. "It would take fifteen of you to even be close to one ton. I can remain behind. It will save space."
Now Savannah felt bad.
"You don't need to do it." Savannah said. "You're my copilot."
Cammy showed a faint smile. She wanted to remind Savannah about the realities of the future.
"You'll have your real copilot with you." Cammy said. "It's the 'Natural Order' of time."
Savannah didn't want to comment on it. It seemed she had quite a few 'copilots'. She was aware CamNet would be her virtual copilot as well.
Young Allison and Anna were the first to arrive in Van Nuys. John Henry made sure all the CHP units were elsewhere and all the on ramps equipped with a traffic light, only changed once a minute to lower the traffic volume. They made good time at about eighty to eighty-five miles an hour. We traveled fast, but not too fast. Young Allison was aware it wasn't always how fast one could go, it was how quick they could stop.
Anna wouldn't allow Mel to drive faster in non emergency conditions. There was a certain amount of braking distance required in an emergency. She also specifically told Young Allison she wouldn't be driving either.
The B-25 sat on the ramp. It gleamed in the sunlight. It was clear it had already been started and warmed up before their arrival.
Young Allison was about to start her 'walk around' when Cammy and Savannah pulled up.
Savannah walked over to Young Allison and they embraced.
They quickly formulated what they would do and what the flight plan would be. Cammy listened and set everything up with the tower. CamNet would take control from there. It would ensure everything went their way and the airspace was clear on their flight plan and flight path.
They did the 'walk around' together and checked everything on the plane. The fuel tanks were full. Everything was good to go.
Anna received an update as to where the remainder of the group was currently at.
"Cam, Vanna, and Allison will be here in four minutes." Anna said. "They're on the street outside the gate now."
Savannah decided to get strapped in and check everything on the inside of the plane.
Young Allison didn't want to seem pushy. She did want to know what was going to happen in the cockpit.
"Is Cammy going to be the copilot?" Young Allison asked.
Cammy hung up her phone and smiled at them.
"I'm going to set this one out." Cammy said. "I have a few things to take care of at the Resistance base."
Cam called Cammy just a few seconds ago. She asked if she could share with Samantha for the next couple of hours since it would be the end of her sexual freedom. Cam didn't like the fact she left Samantha 'hanging' earlier. It would have been a terrible 'last experience' to remember.
Cammy thought about her time waiting in Savannah's room at Cameron's base and agreed. How could she be upset at Savannah? They all shared.
She wanted Young Allison to have a good time.
"I'll observe." Anna said as she looked at Young Allison. "Allison will be the copilot."
Young Allison smiled at Savannah. She knew not to overstep her position.
"You're the pilot, you decide." Young Allison said. "Cam will be here soon."
Savannah wasn't happy Cammy wouldn't be going with them but she understood. Cammy whispered to Savannah why before she left. She felt sorry for Samantha and was glad Cammy stayed behind to 'help' her out. She was even more pleased when Cammy apologized for her earlier behavior. It seemed somehow things always worked out in the end.
Savannah and Young Allison checked all the instruments while Anna observed. Everything was done perfectly.
They were about ready to start the engines.
Young Allison saw an SUV enter through the gate on the east side.
"Here they come." Young Allison said.
Savannah decided to wait until they boarded. The prop wash could give someone a really bad hair day. She was sure everyone would have fixed themselves up so they would look good when they boarded the cruise ship. She knew they all wanted to look good for each other as well. She could always push a few more revs out of the engines to make up anytime if necessary.
CamNet's Terminators headed back up front to question the men in custody. All three of them were in a separate location. Two of them were still unconscious.
The first Terminator began the interrogation of the first man.
The second Terminator continued to look around the building. They also checked the drone images of the area around them. They didn't know if anyone else would arrive. They needed to worry about another group attacking the location. The current group looked like they were about to pack everything up. They needed to find any other locations they might move to.
When they took down the hillside complex, they heard talk about moving to a new location. They weren't sure if this was the same group or not. They would need to find out when they question the prisoners.
The first Terminator moved to the first man and removed his gag and blindfold. He immediately issued a string of cusses. She punched him hard in the gut. He let out a grunt of pain and doubled over.
When the first man was able to breathe again, she grabbed his neck and looked into his face.
"You will speak only when spoken to." The first Terminator said. "You will answer each question truthfully and to the fullest extent. The failure to do either of those things will result in further corrective action."
As soon as the man was able to grab another breath, he let out another long string of insults and curses.
The first Terminator punched him hard again in the gut and in the side. She could hear some of his ribs crack.
The first man was even in more pain this time.
She reached over and cut off his air supply as he struggled for air to breathe after the double impact.
"I can see this is going to take awhile." The first Terminator said. "The level of pain you experience is all up to you. There's no need to make yourself suffer."
It took almost another minute before the man seemed to be able to get enough air to be able to speak properly.
The first Terminator looked at him. Her eyes glowed red.
"Don't make me bust you up." The first Terminator said. "You're going to tell me anyway."
The first Terminator continued the interrogation process.
The female Fanatic needed to find out how many Grays were in the building. She needed a better weapon. She hoped to find explosives as she started her search. Her initial investigation of the equipment on the racks seemed to indicate everything she viewed were parts which would go into sub-assemblies of HK equipment. She was unable to determine exactly what type it would be determined on the individual parts. Once they were assembled into components or sub-assemblies, she would have a better idea. What she looked at now wasn't enough to determine what they were for. There seemed to be a rather large quantity of them.
Based upon what she found in the crate earlier, it appeared the components were shipped to another location for the initial assembly. She needed to get over to wherever they took the crates and see what was being done with them.
There was a sound from the direction she originally came from. It was the loading dock area. She moved back along one of the racks she was between and carefully took a look. The darkness around her suddenly vanished. Someone just turned the lights on in the area she was at. She didn't know if she was discovered or not. She may have shown up on a security camera or tripped a sensor. She didn't see either one. She was careful to look for both.
She quickly looked around behind her. She wanted to find a spot to conceal herself. She saw some boxes on one of the lower levels of the storage racks where she thought she could fit in. She quickly moved back to where she saw them. She backed in between two of the boxes. There was a crate behind her which faced the row next to her. She would be visible if someone specifically looked in the direction she was in. If they were just passing by, or looking for something else in a different spot, they most likely wouldn't see her. She hoped whoever was there wasn't a Terminator.
The female Fanatic listened to the footsteps approach as she waited in her place of concealment between two boxes in the storage area. She held her knife in her hand. She was ready to use it.
The second Terminator moved to the computers. The computers were already logged on when she arrived at the station. She would search the files on them to gather more information. She was aware the computers could be connected to some version of Skynet. She hadn't spotted any security cameras yet. It didn't mean there weren't any. She needed to take into account when she started looking into different files, it may trigger something at another location. The drone over them would alert them to any impending danger.
She decided to disconnect the computers from the internet before she started to search. There was no need to tip their hand before they needed to. She began to review all of the information on the computer. She could hear the interrogation up in the front area of the building. It appeared the Gray was a slow learner. There was a lot of 'corrective action' needed to get the answers out of him.
The second Terminator continued her search.
The female Fanatic could hear the footsteps getting closer. She soon realized they weren't on the aisle she was on. They were on the aisle in back of her. Her back was to a crate. She kept her head down. She could hear some rustling sound off to the side in back of her. She was pretty sure they would need the pallet jack or the forklift to move the crate behind her. She didn't think it was what they were after.
There was a loud metallic 'clang' as a metal part hit the floor.
The man cursed.
She soon heard other footsteps.
"Did you find it?" The first man asked.
"I got it." The second man said.
"It's a good thing we have a spare." The first man said.
"If everyone would have been a little more careful, we wouldn't need it." The second man said.
"I don't know if careful is the right word to use." The first man said. "I heard you drop something on the way over here. The parts don't fix themselves when they're damaged. If you show up with the damaged part and the Man is here, you're going to need to have a real good explanation very fast."
"It was just an end housing casting." The second man said.
"They're not casting." The first man said. "They're forgings."
"Whatever." The second man said. "I don't know tech stuff."
"It's why you're the 'gopher'." The first man said.
"Yeah, yeah." The second man said. "Go for this and go for that. I get it."
She heard the two voices move away from behind her. She carefully looked over the top of the crate in back of her. She watched them go around the corner. The lights went off moments later.
Some type of machinery started off in the distance. She couldn't tell what it was. It was loud enough it would prevent her from hearing anyone's footsteps approach her.
The female Fanatic decided to do a little more investigation. It was clear she was going to need to bring the building down. She still hoped to find some explosives and a better weapon.
The first Terminator continued to beat on the first man. He was very reluctant to give information. She already broke half a dozen bones. She found out the location was being moved. The Grays were sure it was compromised. They didn't know if it was by another group of Grays, the Fanatics, or the anti-metal faction of the Resistance.
He wanted to know which group she was controlled by. She broke another bone. It was a compound fracture. She informed him she wasn't controlled by anyone.
She made sure the first man was securely bound, gagged and blindfolded again. She moved on to the next one.
The second man was still out. She left him where he was after she checked his restraints. She moved on to the third man.
She went through the same initiation process with the third man as she did with the first man. He appeared to be a slow learner as well. He was able to hear some of the muffled screams and grunts of the first man as he was interrogated. He wanted to know the condition of the first man.
His questions resulted in him being roughed up further. Once he realized he was completely under her control, he became a little more talkative. The threat to break a bone was enough to get him to give a better explanation of anything she asked about.
The first Terminator continued the interrogation of the third man. She would deal with the second man next.
The second Terminator determined there was a lot of useful information on the computer she looked at. She proceeded to remove the hard drives from all of the computers there. She made sure all of them were disconnected from the internet before she removed them. She wanted to make sure there wasn't a backup connection.
She began to further look around the building. She wanted to see what else was there. There were a lot of useful components which could be used as spare parts for their drone fleet. She notified CamNet of what was available.
She was able to come up with several locations. One of them is where the components came from. It appeared to be the location of where the female Fanatic currently was at. Another was an assembly location. It was clear there was some assembly at the current location as well. The technicians most likely moved on. She would be able to gain the information from the first Terminator when she was done conducting the interrogations.
She moved around through the front area again. She passed the room where the first man currently lay in a pool of blood. It was doubtful he was going to survive much longer. She could see several compound fractures.
She passed by the room where the second man was at. He still lay unconscious on the floor. She went over and kicked him in the side. He didn't move. She wondered if he was terminated. She checked him. He was still alive.
There were two rooms used as sleeping quarters. It didn't appear the bunks in the first room were used in a while. There was a 'comfort bunk' in the far corner. There was dried blood on it in a number of places. More than likely one of the occupants died there. It was probably all of them.
She looked around in the second room. It appeared to be where the men they saw leave stayed, as well as the ones they took into custody. She wasn't sure why some of them didn't moved to the other room. She figured they were instructed by the Terminator associated with the group to remain together. It was probably so the mess they left behind wasn't as great as it would be in two rooms. There was a 'comfort bunk' in the room as well. It also showed signs of dried blood and most likely several terminations of the occupants.
She listened for a few moments as the interrogation progressed with the third man. She moved back into the room with the second man and kicked him in the side again. It wasn't hard enough to break anything. She heard him groan. She checked the drone footage around the area. There were no new developments.
The second Terminator roughly picked up the second man and placed him in a chair. She began the interrogation.
Closing monologue by Cameron:
Won My Heart
Is love more than a contest
In which two people compete
It should be so much more
To make two people complete
Everything should be equal
As two people learn to share
It should always be done
Because they both deeply care
To reach out to another
Should not be to take
Everything should be real
Nothing should be fake
When things are done with glee
It puts joy into you and me
It should be celebrated
For all others to see
It benefits both of us
When things are done smart
There are many reasons
Why you have won my heart
Nobody
