[One year later]
"Guys, I'm going out to get some strawberries!" said Snow White.
"Be safe!" said Happy.
"Yes, after that huntsman you mentioned, we really can't take any more risks of the Queen finding out where we are." said Dopey.
"Yeah, who knew that my step-mother would hate me that much." muttered Snow White.
"Don't beat yourself down, the Queen is pure evil." said Sneezy. "Achoo!"
"But maybe it was because of me. She was so sweet to me before my father's death..."
"No!" shouted Grumpy. "I admit that when you first arrived, I didn't want to listen to the fairy but you've been here two years now - you're sixteen now - and you are the purest soul I have ever met. You're a good girl and the Queen is the cruel one for wanting you dead."
"Thanks, Grumpy." smiled Snow White.
The dwarves made Snow White take extra precautions when away from the small cottage, there was now a maximum distance she was allowed to go in case anyone else comes trying to kill her and so she could easily run back to the cottage and the dwarves would be able to keep her from harm. Snow White couldn't help but dance and sing as she picked fruit from the bushes and the tree but suddenly, a blue bird came flying towards her and landed on her finger.
"There's someone there!" said the bird, using its wings to point to a man on a horse.
Snow White turned around to see a handsome young man riding a white horse and frightened, she dropped her basket full of fruits and ran as fast as she could but she was no match for the horse. The two of them managed to catch up to her in a couple of seconds and Snow White tripped and fell on the ground.
"Ow!" she said.
"Are you okay?" asked the man, helping her up.
"Y-You're not here to kill me?"
"Kill you? Who would ever want such a pretty girl like you who sings so beautifully dead?"
Snow White blushed but she knew she couldn't give out valuable information like that away so she lied.
"I was just... scared." she lied. "You have a sword right there."
The man looked down at his sword and said, "Oh, I was just coming to slay some deer for a feast in my palace."
"Palace?"
"Yes, I am Prince Florian of Monia."
The name sounded familiar to Snow White, when she was still living in the palace, as a princess she needed to learn the name of the kingdoms, though she only remembers a few now, they were just the neighbouring kingdoms: Corona, England and Monia. Corona was one of the largest kingdoms that was in the middle of the sea and connected by bridge to the main land and so was England but instead of a bridge, they only used boats to travel and the closest to her kingdom (Versailles) was Monia, it was a very small kingdom but it was very beautiful and rich - she went there herself when she was young.
"Oh, so you're a prince?" asked Snow White.
"Yeah, it's not as fun as most people assume. We have to learn about the history, geography, politics and so much more at-" started Prince Florian.
"At such a young age, exactly." finished Snow White.
"How'd you know?"
"Uh... lucky guess."
"Ah."
"So, I better get going now." said Snow White.
"Wait!" said Prince Florian.
"Yes?"
"Uh..."
"Were you going to say something?"
"I'm just trying to think of an excuse to be with you for just a bit longer."
"Well, I get quite lonely sometimes... perhaps we can have a small adventure..."
"Yes! Please!"
"Okay." smiled Snow White. "Come on!"
Snow White grabbed Florian's hand and dragged him over.
"Where are you taking me?" smirked Prince Florian.
"My favourite place in the whole Dark Forest." replied Snow White.
Snow White took him to a magnificent place. Animals lurked around everywhere in harmony, flowers bloomed to make such a beautiful colour and the light danced on the giant lake that was there. A deer them approached them.
"Watch this." said Prince Florian as he aimed his bow at the deer.
"Stop!" shouted Snow White and pushed him to the ground.
"What was that for?"
"Are you really going to kill that deer?!"
"Yes, I told you earlier, we are having a feast in the palace for my eighteenth birthday."
"Of course! You people always care about yourselves!" screamed Snow White and stormed away.
"Wait, what did I do wrong?" asked Prince Florian.
"That's the thing! You don't even know what you did wrong!"
"Please, just show me!"
"Fine... Follow me."
Florian followed Snow White back to the deer who had now changed positions, they slowly followed the deer to show that it was feeding its young.
"See?" asked Snow White. "If you killed that deer, you may have eaten well today but you would have made that fawn an orphan."
Florian felt so guilty for what he would have done and apologised to Snow White, "I am really sorry. I had no idea of what my actions would have caused. I have learnt my lesson. From now on, I swear I shall eat no more meat."
Snow White smiled, that wasn't the message she was going for but she was very proud at what the prince had done and didn't want to ruin his moment.
"Will we ever meet again?" he asked.
"I wouldn't mind if we did." Snow White replied.
The two parted ways after that but there was a feeling in their heart which neither of them would pass by. What was it they were feeling about the other?
