I don't Own Naruto or Fairy Tail
Chapter 2
"I want to thank you for everything you've done for me this last month to help me get back on my feet. This really means a lot to me." Naruto said as he shook the doctor's hand and smiled at the people that had come to see him off.
Naruto had not only been rehabilitating and recovering. The doctor's name was Jim Halsworth. He had gotten to know the people and they have been so kind to him and would come see him since he wasn't allowed to leave his room for the first week to allow his body to heal. The next three weeks were spent with Naruto going through rehab which was a slow process…. Well to Naruto it was anyway, but to everyone else with how quick he healed and adapted was incredible. During the three weeks, he got to know the townspeople and even learned that he was in a town called Hotu which was a few cities away from Magnolia. They're not a very rich town, so they couldn't afford to send for someone to come to him.
Naruto now sported new clothes while he wore a black shirt that was a thin jacket. And blue pants, along with black combat boots. His hair was much shorter now having got it cut, but he still had the bangs framing his face, but his hair was at shoulder length now instead of the middle of his back.
"It's my job as a doctor to help anyone if I can and I couldn't possibly allow a young man like yourself to stay hurt. It wouldn't be right if I did that to you." Jim said as he smiled at him.
"Still, if you ever need a job done or anything for that matter, you can send the request to Fairy Tail and I'll help everyone out for free the first few mission requests considering all things that you and everyone has done for me.
"I think we'll take you up on that offer." Jim said when kids ran up to Naruto and surrounded him saying goodbyes and laughing. One of them was crying and had tears in her eyes.
"Don't go, Naruto-nii!" A girl who looked to be about 5 years old. She had brown hair that was in a small braid and had bright blue eyes.
"Hey, it's not like I'm not going to be gone forever Sarah. I promise to be back soon. You guys have one of my Hiraishin kunai and a communication lacrima, so it's not like this'll be the last time we see each other." Naruto said as he got to one knee and let her hug him and vent her feelings to him as he returned the hug, not once did his smile leave his face. The women were all cooing at the scene with several blushes on their faces while the men were giving him teasing grins.
She looked at him with teary eyes and held her pinky out. "Promise?" Sarah asked with a cute pout.
He hooked his pinky around hers and gave her a reassuring grin.
"Promise and you know I always keep my promises." Naruto assured her as he gave her one more hug before leaving as he waved at everyone who cheered for him.
"See you guys later!" Naruto shouted as he left in a Lightning Shunshin as the kids watched in awe at his exit while the adults laughed or chuckled knowing he did that for the kids entertainment, especially Sarah whom he had grown the closest to in the short time he was in Hotu.

After everything was in order now, Naruto could see the nearest train station after walking for a couple hours. He could now take a train back to Magnolia Town and rejoin everyone at Fairy Tail. He rushed towards where the station was as he wanted nothing more than to go back home.
Upon approaching the ticket counter, the blonde was relieved to say that he still had time left before the train was to depart so he quickly paid for his ticket. He then turned to the small train in the station and bought some snacks for his journey back before he entered the train and sat down on the booth at the back. He hummed happily as he laid back and eased himself into his seat.
After half an hour, a voice from the speakers was heard in the train.
"Ladies and gentlemen. We will now be departing for Magnolia Town. Please stay in your seats as we will be moving shortly. We will arrive at our destination in about 3 hours."
…and with that, the blonde went to sleep with excitement and longing now in his mind as he was going to be reunited with everyone again.
A few hours later
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived at Magnolia Town. Please check your belongings before stepping off the train. Thank you for travelling with us and we hope to see you again!" The announcer spoke through the speakers on the train.
Upon the announcement, Naruto woke up and quickly made his way off the train towards the terminal.
After leaving the station, he got a good look at everything and it looked like nothing had really changed. Everything looks just as he remembered. He was so close to being home now after being gone for so long.
Naruto had a bag over his shoulder as he walked through the city, noticing how everyone is whispering about him due to his enhanced senses, he's able to hear everything.
"It's the Yellow Flash."
"I had heard that he had died though."
"He's gotten even more handsome."
"He's so cute, look at his whisker marks."
Those were the various things he could hear which made him sweatdrop, but also chuckle at their words. He paid them no mind though, as he finally came across what appeared to be the guild building, but it looked so different and much bigger than he last saw it.
"This is it. Finally." Naruto muttered as he grabbed the handle of the door before pulling it open and walked inside.
This got everyone's attention as they saw a blonde man walk in with a smile on his face almost in nostalgia as he looked around in awe of the place.
"Do you need something?" A man in his thirties asked. He had blue hair.
"Macao? Where's the master? Did everyone make it back from Edolas?" Naruto asked the man in front of him.
"Edolas? How do you know about that place? Just who are you?" Macao asked again with confusion in his voice as others were listening in the conversation.
"Didn't they tell you about me being stuck there until a month ago? It's me, Naruto. Do I really look that different from a few years ago?" Naruto asked with a frown.
Everything stopped when they heard the name. They had heard that Naruto did return with Natsu and the others, but they had no idea where he ended up. They had tried looking for him, but no such luck on finding him which meant he was out of reach.
"My god it really is you kid, where the hell have you been?! We tried finding you once we heard that you came back from Edolas like the others, but we could never find out where you were." Macao said in surprise, but he was smiling all the same much like the other members who knew Naruto while the newer ones were looking at him curiously.
"I'll tell you in a bit, but where's Master at? Usually he would be drinking at the bar, right? I don't see Natsu, Erza, Mira, Cana, or anyone else for that matter." Naruto had looked around and had noticed that several people were gone.
"You just missed them, they left for the S-class trials not that long ago, they will be back tomorrow though, so for the time being, we have a lot to catch up on, kid." Macao said with a grin as Naruto nodded and they went over to the bar to get something to drink.
"Hi, it's nice to meet you." A young woman who looked to be about 14 years old with short purple hair said.
"Likewise. I'll take some tea if you have any." Naruto said.
"Coming right up." She said as she walked to the backroom to prepare his drink..
"So where have you been the last month?" Macao asked, wanting to know where the blonde Shinobi had been all this time.
"It's a bit of a story." Naruto chuckled as the girl came back with his tea as she smiled at him. "Thank you. I'm Naruto, what's yours?" Naruto asked with a smile as she smiled back at him.
"It's Kinana. You're the guy that Mira-san and Cana-san talked about." Kinana realized with wide eyes.
"I suppose so. Now, to where I've been, it's like this." Naruto said.
After Naruto had explained his whereabouts, that satisfied the two as it would make sense if he was in as bad a shape as they had been told he was. They were just glad to have him back since it would make the family complete again.
"Hey Macao, is my house still there by any chance?" Naruto asked.
"Yeah it is, Cana and Mira had both moved in and kept it clean in case you ever came back." Macao said, much to Naruto's surprise.
"That's good to hear, but now I feel like shit if I worried them this much." Naruto said with a sad smile thinking about his two best friends.
"Do you want some help or company? Mira had me stay there when I first started working here." Kinana said, wanting to help the returned S-class Shinobi.
"Mind if I come too?" They turned to hear a young woman who appeared to be Naruto's age who had shoulder length purple hair, glasses with her outfit consisting of a white blouse with blue stripes, a red bow around her neck, black leggings, and had a red bow on top of her head.
"Oh hey Laki. Sure, you can come with us, I'm sure that Naruto wouldn't say no to you, right? That would just be rude." Kinana said with a smile that told him, he had no choice, making him sigh, but nodded as Laki smiled at them.
"I have no problem with it actually. You both could tell me what I've missed at the guild over the years and it would be nice and we could get to know my guildmates while there." Naruto said as Kinana and Laki nodded with smiles as they left the guildhall.
Luckily the house wasn't too far away, so it didn't take them long to get there by walking. Naruto would've wanted to Shunshin or even the Hiraishin since he could feel one of the markers still there, but it wouldn't have done his body any favors. The doctor had cleared him to only travel around by foot, but had forbidden him from using any transportation spells, so he had to take his time getting to Magnolia.
"Still looks the same as ever, but it's certainly home. I appreciate what you girls are doing for me, but you didn't have too, ya know." Naruto smiled at them, who nodded.
"It's nothing that big of a deal. We are just wanting to help you get settled back in. We also don't want you doing anything too strenuous if you're still going through recovery and based on what I'm seeing you look a little malnourished.
"Yeah, that was the biggest thing that the doc was to make sure I was eating enough, but not too much to overwhelm my body with the sudden amount of food.
"How long did the doctor say before you would have to stay from doing jobs until your body would be able to handle it?" Laki asked as he led them inside.
"I can't do any dangerous jobs yet or anything above B-rank for another month or so, but I can do C-ranked ones." Naruto said with a grumble.
"Oh, so the ones no one wants to do in town." Kinana said as she and Laki giggled at seeing his expression.
"Yeah, but as much as I hate it, it would probably be the best thing for me to do for now while my body adjusts. You know, I never got your name when you decided to join us." Naruto said, much to Laki's embarrassment, having not introduced herself to him properly.
"Right, sorry. My name is Laki Olietta." Laki chuckled nervously as he gave her an amused grin that made Kinana giggle.
"Nice to officially meet you Laki. Well, I'll drop my stuff in my room and then we can get to know each other more. I'm curious to know what's become of not only my home, but also the members that have joined while I was away. Maybe you two could help fill in the blanks for me?" Naruto asked as they nodded with bright smiles.
"Sure. It would be our pleasure." Kinana said as he nodded and put his stuff in his room and they all sat down in the living room comfortably and spent the next few hours talking about what's been going on with the guild the last few years and events that had happened. Needless to say, Naruto was going to be shocked at everything when he was caught up on everything.
After getting settled back into his home with the help of Laki and Kinana which was nice of them to offer their help since he still would still struggle on moving around every now and then. They also made sure he didn't overdo it when he explored the house to familiarize himself with it. He tried to tell them that he was fine, but they weren't having it for some reason and told him that they were there in case something did happen or when he tried pushing himself too far.
He had appreciated their concern for his well-being though and got to know each other a bit. He learned that Laki used a form of wood-make magic that was like his wood release, but on a much smaller scale. She had joined the guild around three years ago, so it was a year after he disappeared. She was also the same age as him, which was 18 years old.
Kinana didn't use magic according to her, but Naruto could sense something from her, but had no idea what it was, so he let it go for the time being. She joined the guild only a few months ago after having a spell canceled that had turned her into a snake. She had no memory of those years as one and so couldn't recall anything that had happened during that time.
Naruto told them how he joined the guild when he was 8 years old and had been with them ever since. How he had been deaged from his 18 year old self back to 8 when he arrived in Earthland after leaving his old home world. When it was getting late, Naruto offered them spare guestrooms for the night since he didn't want them walking home alone, but they declined saying they'd be fine and let them be. He would've walked them home, but he had a long day and was exhausted. It was a good day though, he was finally able to come home and made some new friends in the process.

The next few days Naruto would be at the guild most of the time, but he wasn't allowed to do missions for another week according to Laki and Kinana who forbade him from doing them. He used the time to catch up with the guild and with those that he knew while meeting the new people. It had been as much of a crazy guild as he remembered, but it wasn't the same since Natsu and Gray would usually be the ones that were the cause of them happening.
"You never did tell us what type of magic that you use. What kind of magic do you use?" Kinana asked, rather curious.
"Hehe, if you must know I don't use magic, most of the guild knows this, but I use something different called Chakra." Naruto said.
"Chakra?" She asked with confirmation.
He nodded. "Chakra is basically the combined form of physical and mental energy. It allows humans to perform superhuman feats like walking on water, manipulating the elements, and casting illusions, just like magic does in this world. Except unlike here, where only 1 in 10 humans can use magic, every human from my world has a chakra network, which is an additional circulatory system through which chakra flows. Anyone could be trained to access and wield it."
"As I came from another dimension, we didn't use magic, but Chakra I'm able to do various things with it, such as using seals that's similar to what Levy uses, applying chakra to my body can enhance my physical abilities, cast illusions though that one is difficult for me to do having large reserves, and being able to mold the elements depending on which ones i'm more in tune with. Most people would have a single element, but could train to use a second one which would take years to do." Naruto explained getting surprised looks from the two women.
"What elements are you able to use?" Kinana asked, getting into the conversation.
"I'm able to use wind and fire better compared to other elements, but I've learned to use all five basic chakra natures." Naruto said.
"Basic natures, what do you mean?" Laki asked.
"What he means is that there are the five elements wind, water, earth, fire, and lightning, but there are also something called sub-elements which is the combination of two certain elements that create said element. Naruto once said that he fought someone that used ice which in his world is a mixture of wind and water." Macao having joined them at the bar, helped out in the explanation, having known Naruto a long time.
"That's fascinating. What about the seals you mentioned?" Laki asked, curious about the comparison between the seals he uses and runes.
"Seals is the hardest thing a person can learn as it takes not only perfect calligraphy, but also patience and a lot of your time if you want to learn even the basics. It took me my whole life to be classified as a master by my clans standard which is extremely high." Naruto said with sigh as he remembered how long it took him a very long time to get to where he was now.
"It's that difficult to learn, what makes it so dangerous if its as hard as it seems?" Laki asked with wide eyes.
"Anything is possible with them. Only the imagination is what limits a person. My father with the help of my mother was able to recreate a technique that allowed him to manipulate space and time with it. You can form barries with them, seal a person's chakra and even someone's magic where they wouldn't be able to use it at all. There's so many things that you can do with them and that's just a small list." Naruto told them, even Macao hadn't been aware of how terrifying seals could be. Their jaws were on the ground from what they heard.
"Wow. There's so much I want to know about Chakra, but I want to know more about you first." Kinana said with a smile as Laki nodded in agreement as they asked more questions for the next hour with Naruto asking his own questions to get to know the girls as well.
Everyone was now waiting for their return since it's been a day since they left even Naruto was looking forward as he was wondering how Levy had done. He knew she would be okay. Hw wondered how Lucy had done since she was helping Cana out. He also hoped that despite how he felt about his friends that Anko and Fu didn't go too far if they fought any of them. What no one expected was to see someone from the Magic Council appear and one Naruto knew well. It was Lahar who he had worked with in the past.
"Hello Lahar. What brings you to Fairy Tail?" Naruto asked the captain.
"I've come with grave news I'm afraid." Lahar told the guild.
"What do you mean?" Macao said standing next to Naruto.
"I'm sorry to say, but Tenrou Island was attacked by Grimoire Heart and later on Acnologia who ended up destroying the island." Lahar said getting gasps from everyone including Naruto whose eyes widened at the news.
"W-What?" Naruto asked not believing what he just heard.
"What about the others?" Macao asked, hoping that there would be some good news of some kind.
"There were no survivors. We searched for hours, but we caught no sign of anyone. I'm sorry." Lahar said leaving the devastated guild.
"Everyone, Mira-chan, and Cana-chan." Naruto whispered as tears slid down his cheeks.
"Naruto." Macao said sadly as everyone else was struggling with the news of their friends gone, then suddenly a heavy killer intent was present in the guild that made everyone look at the source.
And it was coming from Naruto. His chakra could be seen surrounding him a dark blue with a hint of red as his eyes had now changed to red slits like Kurama's. The very air had become thick, making it hard for some people to breathe. His hair became spikier along with his nails becoming sharper and longer.
"Grimoire Heart and Acnologia, huh? The Black Dragon of the Apocalypse." Naruto said in a demonic voice that Macao knew what was happening.
"Naruto calm down! You're making people suffocate with yours and Kurama's chakra!" Macao shouted, hoping to snap him out of it, but he wasn't listening.
"Naruto-kun, please stop this." Laki said as she and Kinana grabbed his arms as he looked at them with their pleading eyes.
Maruto took a deep breath as he did as asked and slowly let go of the pressure that made everyone give a sigh of relief as they watched Naruto walk away, leaving everyone worried for him, especially Macao, Wakaba, Laki, and Kinana.
"I'm sorry that I was the one to have to tell you. Good day everyone." Lahar said, departing from the guild that was now stricken with grief and worry for what they had just been told.
"That dragon and dark guild's asses are mine. They'll pay for killing off part of my family and I'm going to make their suffering slow and painful." Naruto said as his eyes darkened with anger and hate with no one seeing this, but there were a few that gave him worried glances. He was going to be getting back into training tomorrow starting with physical conditioning and getting his chakra control back to where it needs to be. He has a lot of work to do for himself.
He never noticed Laki and Kinana walk up to him with concerns on their faces.
"Are you alright Naruto-kun?" Kinana asked softly.
He nodded and gave them smiles to assure them, but compared to the ones they had seen the last few days. They could tell how fake it was and it hurt them to see him hurting like this.
"I'll be fine. I just need some time alone, right now." Naruto said as he grabbed their hands and squeezed them lightly to assure them. They nodded in acceptance, but would keep an eye on him so he didn't do anything to get hurt. One thing he never noticed was his eyes changing from blue to purple with a ripple pattern for a brief moment before going back to normal.
Six Months Later (June x785)
It's been a long six months for Fairy Tail since they lost most of their strongest members. Things had dampened for the once hyperactive guild that was now less cheerful. Macao had stepped up as the Fourth Guild Master to represent them. Naruto didn't want the position, still not up to snuff on his strength and he wanted to regain and even surpass when he was at his best during the fourth great ninja war before he had arrived in Earthland. Naruto had been taking a lot of missions to help make up for the losses once he was cleared and with him training as much as he is when he returns from the jobs, no one sees him that much anymore.
Ever since Naruto learned who was responsible for their demise, he was set on finding that dragon and killing it to avenge his friends. He'd put hundreds of clones to work on not only Chakra control exercises, but also retraining himself in every category such as kenjutsu, taijutsu, ninjutsu, and Fuinjutsu. He'd put at least 50 clones going over stances with the sword, 50 more going over his taijutsu stances to catch himself up, 50 to master his ninjutsu arsenal where he doesn't need to use any hand seals anymore if he can make it happen, he redid his elemental exercises to the point where he could perform them instantly, and lastly was getting his handwriting up to snuff and than surpassing his skill in the art of Fuinjutsu. He was going to be much stronger than he was before in the Elemental Nations.
Now we find him in his backyard doing some push-ups with one hand while he had another clone reading a Fuinjutsu book. He performed a backflip after finishing the last set and started going through katas for the Toad's style. He suddenly got an alert from his seals that someone was at the door, so he grabbed a towel to wipe off the sweat and a bottle of water. Once he was inside, he heard someone knocking on the door and when he opened it, it was Macao which was a surprise to him since he was usually busy with being the guild master.
"Master, what are you doing here? Did you have another job for me?" Naruto asked with confusion.
"No, nothing like that Naruto. Can I come in?" Macao asked his strongest member.
He nodded and let him in as they went to the living room where they could have their discussion of whatever he wanted to talk to him about.
"What's up?" Naruto asked with a curious brow.
"We've received word that in the next few weeks, an event is going to be taking place called the Grand Magic Games. Every guild in Fiore is going to be wanting to be in it and we would like you to be the team leader for the games." Macao told the blonde who was surprised to hear about such a thing taking place.
"Why me though?" Naruto asked his guild master.
"You're our strongest member, but not only that, but you've led teams before. Even if you'd be considered the youngest of the team, but you have experience." Macao explained, getting him to nod as it did make sense to him, though he didn't like it since he would rather hunt the damn dragon.
"Who else will be on the team? I need to know who I'll be teaming up with." Naruto said as Macao smiled, glad that he agreed to it, but had been worried about him. Naruto had changed since the news of the Tenrou group had made him more cold hearted and obsessed with finding the dragon. He's been training nonstop since he found out and was pushing himself and taking A&S-class missions.
"I wanted to talk with you first before I went to the others, so I'll need you to come by the guild tomorrow for the team announcement." Macao said as he shook patted Naruto on the shoulder as he left, leaving the blonde to his thoughts.
"Huh, this isn't what I was expecting, but I don't really want to do this, but it would be good for the guild if we came out on top to prove that we are still a capable guild." Naruto muttered to himself as he was having an internal battle.
"Naruto-kun, you need to have a break from this. What you're doing is unhealthy and you're making people worried." Matatabi said as she gave him a concerned look.
"I'm fine Mtatatabi, I'm not abandoning them for revenge, but I will make that dragon pay." Naruto said, getting sighs from the Biju.
"Naruto, I understand how you feel, but you've hardly at the guild since you're either training or on high ranked missions. You never spend time with your friends." Kurama said.
"Especially with Kinana and Laki who must be very worried about you. You need to slow down, take a break, and go see them." Kokuo said to their host who wasn't saying anything, being deep in thought.
"You're probably right, I should actually stop by and visit with them. It has been awhile since I really spoke with them.
Naruto took a quick shower and got something to eat before heading towards the guild where he could relax for once. He was actually looking forward to seeing them again, but because he had been gone so often, he didn't do it often making them worry about how he was gone on missions. He walked inside and could see various people mingling with each other, having a great time. There were others drinking away without a worry in the world. He could see Laki was talking to a young woman with long green hair and brownish-purple eyes. A Western-style hat always visible on her head, had red lipstick, a light, polka-dotted neck scarf, and a pair of reddish brown boots. Her body was covered by a short, strapless one-piece dress decorated by spiraling motifs with darker, striped edges, but he could make out her large breasts that were D-cup..
He also spotted Kinana who was working, so she was busy handing out drinks to people. He gave them soft smiles and immediately felt bad about not seeing them more often. She saw him and gave him a bright smile and waved at him, making him wave back as he made his way towards Laki who hadn't noticed him yet.
"I'm sorry to hear that things didn't work out between you two. Just know that you're not the one at fault since he ended up doing something really stupid." He heard Laki say to the cowgirl who was taking long drinks from her mug.
"I just can't believe he'd cheat on me after we finally got together. Despite him saying that it was a mistake, how he promised it wouldn't happen again, but I'm not sure if I want to give him another chance." She said with a sigh as Laki rubbed her back to comfort her.
"Sounds like a bastard if you ask me." They turned to see Naruto approaching them.
"Naruto! It's rare for you to not be on a mission. What are you doing here?" Laki asked, but then realized how that sounded and blushed embarrassingly. "I'm sorry, that didn't come out very well." She said in embarrassment.
"It's fine, Laki. I know you meant well and I'm sorry I haven't been around that much." Naruto said.
"You've been doing nothing, but missions over the months, leaving you with no time to yourself." Laki said.
"I mean, I guess that's right, but it's more than that, but let's not worry about that for now. Who's your friend?" Naruto asked, looking at the beautiful woman.
"Oh, this is Bisca Mulan. Bisca, this is Naruto Uzumaki, a friend of mine." Laki introduced them to each other.
They shook hands in greeting and smiled at each other. Naruto had to admit that she was beautiful and whoever it was that cheated on her was a dumbass. Bisca was checking him out and he was certainly handsome, but also strong if he's an S-class. He'd heard about him before, but never met him until now.
"Anyway, what was that I heard about some dumbass cheating on you?" Naruto asked, getting the two to giggle at what he called Alzack.
"No one important anymore. Basically we had been dating for a few months when he decided it was a good idea to cheat on me with someone else." Bisca said with a her face as Laki gave her a sad smile.
"Wow, what a bitch. He cheated on someone as beautiful as you? What the hell is wrong with him? You're just as much as Mira-chan and Cana-chan were." Naruto said, getting a pink hue to appear on her cheeks.
"T-thank you. You seemed to have been close with them if you're comparing me to them specifically. Were you close to them?" Bisca asked.
"I was. We were actually dating when I disappeared and so we never got to see each other again." Naruto said with a sad expression which caught them both by surprise.
"You were dating them both? I had heard rumors about it, but that's all I thought it was. How'd you get them to agree to that?" Bisca couldn't help, but ask.
"It was their idea to share me. Honestly, they were way into that shit and had wanted me to take a couple more lovers, but I was fine with just the two of them." Naruto said, getting a nods from them.
"Mira and Cana would talk about you a lot. You had a lot of respect not only from them, but a lot of people, even Laxus respected you." Laki said, getting a look from Bisca.
"Laxus respected someone?" Bisca asked in surprise, having not expected that.
"I had no idea. This is news to me." Naruto shrugged his shoulders with a hum.
"Well, you did have power that he respected and considering what you could do with Chakra and how powerful you were then, it's no surprise he would respect you." Laki said, remembering the times she'd be in the guild and would actually thought highly of someone else other than himself.
"Well, I'm impressed. How come I'm only meeting you now if you've been here for so long?" Bisca asked, very curious about the blonde in front of her now.
And so Naruto told her about his time in Edolas who had been informed of the counterpart world, how he had been a prisoner for the king years until Natsu and Wendy managed to free him which led to them returning back to Earthland, but Naruto ended up in Hotu where he spent the month recovering in the town until he was able to make the trip back to Fairy Tail. When Naruto finished telling the story, Laki gave him a small smile and assurance that he was fine. Bisca looked at him with worry and awe as he told his story.
He never once wavered that he would get free or the fact that he would be able to come home to Fairy Tail. It was really sweet how he kept his spirits up due to thinking about them, but it was Mira and Cana that he would think about the most. It showed how much he not only cared about them, but loved them. It really was sweet and made her a little jealous of the kind of relationship that he had with them, but with them gone, she could understand how hurt and angry he must be having lost his two lovers. Her respect for him went up as she realized that he was never in the guild to socialize as he was constantly on missions that not only to do them, but so he could find any leads on who the ones who took them away from him.
"Aww, that's so beautiful." Bisca she gushed at the thought.
"I'll say that Cana-san and Mira-san were quite lucky to have someone like you. I'm almost jealous." Bisca said jokingly, but was also serious.
"I'm not that great, but thank you for the compliment." Naruto gave her a smile.
"Laki, you mentioned something called Chakra? What is that? A form of magic?" Bisca asked, remembering what she said about it. He was about to answer when they saw Macao and Wakaba walk onto the stage. He cleared his throat which got everyone's attention when they noticed the same thing.
"Alright everyone I have an important announcement to make. In a month's time, Fairy Tail will be participating in a series of games called the Grand Magic Games that will be taking place in Crocus. All the guilds in Fiore will be joining and only a certain number of teams will be able to get passed the first games." Macao announced to everyone as no one said a word on what to say. Naruto had already been made aware of it, so he wasn't surprised. There was murmuring amongst everyone as they thought about these events. "Each team can only have five members with one being the reserve and I already have one of our participants who I spoke with who will also be our team leader." He looked around to make sure he still had everyone's attention which he did, so he wouldn't have to repeat this again. "I want Naruto Uzumaki to come up as he'll be the team captain. As for the other four members, I want Max Alors, Laki Olietta, Bisca Mulan, and Jet. This'll be our team in the GMG with Jet acting as our reserve member." He announced as the participating people that were called were shocked and nervous except for Naruto who was smirking slightly.
"This'll be interesting." He thought to himself as he looked at his new teammates who were excited to do something like this.
For the next month, I want the team to be getting ready for the games and reading what the games will entail." Macao informed them as Max and Jet walked over to their new teammates table.
Max is a slim young man of average height with beige hair kept in a bowl undercut, with two large, straight bangs framing and partially covering the sides of his face; he has dark eyes and thin, dark eyebrows.
Max's outfit consists of a simple, open-collared blue shirt with rolled up sleeves, loose dark blue pants with torn hemlines, and light-colored plain shoes.[1] As the announcer of Miss Fairy Tail Contest, he donned a formal dark suit over a light-colored shirt, as well as an extremely large papillon.
Jet is a slim, young man of average height with orange hair, kept jutting backwards at the sides of his head. He has a sharp face, a prominent, flat and defined nose pointing downwards, and distinctive teeth, with a protruding, sharp, triangular-shaped upper molar complemented by a chipped portion on the lower row, something which allows him to close his teeth completely despite such a peculiar physical irregularity.
He wore an open, light-brown coat with yellowish fur trimmings on its edges and sleeves, which reached down below his elbows. Below it was a high-collared purple shirt, with its collar mostly left open, which was sometimes seen left hanging over the checkered belt below it, with a rectangular buckle, and others tucked inside the baggy dark pants covering Jet's legs, in turn tucked inside dark boots. He was sometimes shown with a bracelet composed of thin ropes around his right wrist, and a watch around his left. The most distinctive piece of his attire is probably the fancy, extremely high hat matching his coat, with a large brim and fur trimmings over its entire length, at regular intervals, plus a large furry ball on its top.
"Alright, most of you know each other already, but do you mind introducing yourselves to me since I'm not very familiar with everyone yet and what magic you use?" Naruto asked, getting nods.
"I'm Max Alors and I use sand magic." Max said with a nod.
"The names Jet and I use speed magic to move at fast speeds." Jet said with a smirk.
I'm Bisca and I use requip for gun magic, but my specialty is in using a sniper." Bisca told him with a smirk.
"And you know me already, but I'm Laki Olietta and I use wood-make magic." Laki said with a smile.
"Alright, that just leaves me left, I'm Naruto Uzumaki and I don't specialize in anything in particular, but for simplicity sake let's call it "Chakra Make" magic instead that allows me to do many things which hopefully I can tell you about during the one month." Naruto said, getting nods from them, but curious looks from Max and Jet.
"Alright, so we have a month to prepare for the GMG, how do we prepare for it?" Jet asked his new team.
"Sparring sessions will help us not only prepare, but also get a feel for our strengths and weaknesses." Naruto said.
"That sounds like a plan to me." Max shrugged and the girls nodded in agreement.
"When do you guys want to start this?" Bisca asked them curiously.
"How about tomorrow? So we can use the month to prepare without being interrupted, I'll handle expenses for the month." Naruto suggested as they looked at him in surprise.
"Are you sure? How'd you manage to do that?" Bisca couldn't help, but ask.
"I'm set for life and because of all the high ranked missions I've been taking along with my God Father's books that sold extremely well. Yes, I'm perfectly fine with doing this." Naruto said.
They nodded and continued to make plans to prepare for the games that will not be easy.

A Month Later (July x785)
After strolling through the crowded street of the capital city, the Fairy Tail mages finally reached their lodging. All of them were excited yet a bit tired from the long trip and just wanted to get a well-deserved rest, before the GMGs
Naruto's appearance had changed much from a month ago. He was wearing silver armor with a distinctive white black collar over a simple black suit. The armor was constructed from numerous metal plates, formed into multiple protective guards along his body. Beneath his shoulder armor he wore two extra shoulder guards on each arm. This clothing was accompanied by sandals. (Think Tobirama's armor except it's silver instead of blue and the fur color black instead of white.)
"This is it everyone. I'm a little nervous, but we can do this." Laki said with determination on her face.
"Good luck guys and be safe Naruto-kun." Kinana said with a smile at the team.
"Alright, everyone..." Macao spoke turning his attention to all the Fairy Tail members as they now stood in front of their lodgings with small backpacks and luggage containing their clothes and essential items for their four-day stay in the capital city, "...we still have a lot of time before the preliminary round starts, so if you want to rest then you can do it now and if anyone of you wants to look around the city you are free to go for now. But make sure that you return to the lodgings before midnight as there is going to be an announcement made by the organizers of the Games regarding the preliminary rounds, okay?"
All the members nodded their heads in understanding to their guild master, some more enthusiastic than the others. While the rule of returning to the lodging before midnight was only applied to the members participating in the games, like Naruto, they had decided beforehand that it would be better if they all gathered together during the organizer's announcement in the lodging.
"I can't wait for the event to start!" Wakaba suddenly exclaimed in excitement, crossing his arms on his chest "Kahahaha! This year we'll show them the power of Fairy Tail!" Wakaba announced confidently getting a cheer of agreement from the other members as well and an annoyed look from his friend due to his boisterous attitude.
"Did you hear that, Fairy Tail?"
"Where? Them?"
"Didn't they lose their strongest members at Tenrou Island?"
"No, they still have one of their S-class mages. I've heard he was stronger than Laxus."
"Really? well, it won't matter as it's one person only.!"
"GRRR!" Romeo and some of the other hot-headed members like Jet and Joey(1) gritted their fists in anger, glaring angrily at the citizens around them. Even little Asuka was puffing her cheeks angrily and glaring at the jeering citizens.
"Whoever wants to laugh, let them go ahead and laugh." Naruto patted little romeo on his shoulder while motioning to the others to calm down. "We will just wait and see who is going to get the last laugh after the Games."
"Naruto is right," Macao agreed with the blonde and advised the others "We shouldn't let their words get to us and should just focus on proving them wrong with our performance during the games."
This was enough to calm down the hot-headed Fairy Tail members, much to the relief of the guild master, who didn't want to create any scene that could possibly point their guild in a bad light before the GMG's had even started. and he didn't want to add 'assaulting the citizens' to their guild's long list of negative infamy.
"It's good to see that you guys made it here on time," Yajima spoke as he walked towards the members. "I hope that you all are prepared for the Grand Magic Games?"
"Yes, we are fully prepared for this year's Grand Magic Games. We are going to make you and all our friends proud." Macao declared confidently, making all the members cheer and grin in agreement with his declaration.
Yajima chuckled and felt his heart swell in pride as he saw the look of confidence among the Fairy Tail members. Even if they were missing most of their strongest members, he knew that there were others that were as capable. There was no doubt that they were going to prove all the naysayers wrong and make him, as well as his late old friend Makarov and their friends proud.
"I'll be looking forward to your performances in the Games." Yajima smiled and asked curiously, "If you don't mind me asking who will be representing Fairy Tail at this time?"
