Chapter 17: Eggman scrambled

Right. Now for the conclusion of mobius! This story acts in the manner of rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles: the movie and ben 10's dilemma in the second trials of the keyblade by spiderfan626. If you ever seen the movie and be patient if rise gets renewed for season 3 and read his fanfiction it's time to teach sora a lesson of how he feels about somebody's ego get the best of him when somebody acts like him in a stupid manner.
With that out of the way, here's the next chapter. Enjoy!
Short time later, the kh team found themselves at a All you can Eat diner where they sat at a table, giving out their orders. Normally Sonic would go for Chili Dogs, but he decided to go for something different today and opted for Steak and Mashed potato with salad on the side. Tails had spaghetti, and Sora decided to try out grilled fish with roasted potatoes with warm vegetables, and all three of them enjoyed their meals happily.
"I'm surprised you decided to not go for Chili Dogs today, Sonic." Tails admitted.
"Hey, I'm a sucker for Chili Dogs, but even I can't eat them 24/7, as much as I love them." Sonic chuckled. "The world tour did teach me to eat other kinds of food, you know."
"Guess that's true." The two-tailed fox giggled, wiping away the spaghetti sauce that somehow ended up on his muzzle, and laughed when his older brother noticed a spot and helped him clean it off. "S-Sonic!"
"What? I'm just helpin' out my best buddy and li'l bro." The blue hedgehog said teasingly.
"C'mon! I'm not a baby!"
"You're still my little brother I love so much, though."
"F-Fair point, but still...!"
"Wow. That's...really great." Sora said with a small smile, though he couldn't help to gaze low at the thought of everybody he cared about, everyone he fought so hard to save and bring back, at the cost of losing Riku and end up trapped by the empire with no way out or any way to contact anybody for help. Even hearing the word adventures brought him back to his own adventures and fun times.
just then his pad called the Miles Electric began beeping which caught Sonic, Tails and Sora off-guard before the nine year old cub quickly analyzed it to see what was happening. When he did and got the emergency signal whenever Eggman attacked, his eyes widened in horror and disbelief.
"AH! Oh no!" Tails cried out in dismay.
"What is it, Tails?" Sonic immediately demanded, worriedly.
"It's Eggman! He's somehow escaped the GUN security cells and is now heading towards Station Square with another giant robot heading his way!" The two-tailed fox explained frantically.
"WHAT!?" The blue hedgehog shouted in fear and shock, his heart dropping right into the pit of his stomach. Eggman managed to escape!? How could that be?
Narrowing his eyes knowing that the people of Station Square were in danger and he felt like kicking himself when he realized that the evil scientist did have a back-up plan Sonic and his friends actually failed to stop after all and weren't careful enough, the hero of Mobius quickly sped off towards the pathway leaving his friends behind and seconds later came back with a piece of green Emerald-Like tablet which glowed slightly, and gave it to his self-proclaimed girlfriend.
"Tails, Sora, you're both with me! We're gonna call in Amy and Knuckles since I have a feeling Shadow's already on the case to stop Egghead." Sonic instructed firmly.
"Right, Sonic!" Tails nodded in agreement.
"Here we...GO!" Sonic yelled excitedly as he ran in his natural speed.
"Come to think of it, I've never met anybody that could run so fast before either.". muttered sora.
"Come on I'll take you guys on the tornado to follow sonic." Said tails.
"He's right," Kairi nodded, "Let's go!"
"He better not get himself killed," Beast growled as he summoned his Keyblade and charged in after him.
Sora and the other Keybladers did the same as they followed them as Jack sighed, "Oh, I hope we don't go charging into every situation without at least some profit."
And so they flew on tails' bi-plane. Mulan jack sparrow and kairi hold on for dear life on the blue aircraft.
"Wow! You sure knew how to fly, Tails! That was really smooth sailing." Sora remarked as he hold on to the tornado.
"Years of experience." The nine year old cub replied. "I've been flying planes since I was four."
"FOUR!?" The sixteen year old exclaimed, bewildered.
"Yup! But first we need to find where Eggman is at station square." Said tails.
"There is one way."
They both turned to pirate who's hanging on the pirate.
"You know how to find eggman?" Kairi asked.
"Indeed I do, gift from above! Indeed I do..." Raising his arm, he summoned his Follow the Wind Keyblade. He grabbed the black compass that hung from the key chain and flipped it open. "Nifty little thing this is. It's no ordinary compass. The fact that it now hangs from a magical key-shaped sword makes it all the more special!"
"What's so special about that thing?", tails said.
"Well my fox-eared chum, let me explain." Jack slipped over to tails' side. "This compass doesn't point north, mate. Oh no! This compass points to your heart's desire." Everyone stared at him, urging him to continue. "But the heart's a fickle thing, is it not? Never knows what it wants! Money, power, pleasurable company," he said the last part looking at Mulan. She nervously smiled. "This compass here, it will point you in the right direction. So the question is, mate..." He held out the compass to tails. "...what's in your heart?" tails cautiously took the compass.
The dial did not move as it was held in tails' palm. Everyone looked on with expectation, but mostly in hope. And no one was more hopeful then tails as he looked down at the unmoving compass. Please, tails prayed. The dial wobbled slightly. Please. It slowly began to move. Eggman. The dial shot to the horizon.
"We have our heading!" Jack announced. tails smirked and everyone jumped up smiling.
Upon hearing that tails uses the Miles Electric to contact sonic.
"Sonic, I've picked up the direction where Eggman and the giant robot are. They're close to the outskirts of Station Square, but for some reason they've stopped. Maybe the others are already working on stopping them." Tails informed with a serious expression.
"I'll meet you guys there. Tails, you contact as many as you can!" Sonic ordered from his pad, and before Sora could even tell him to wait since they were still high up, the fifteen year old spun towards the ground as they were getting closer anyway, landing safely in style.
"Do you think that Sonic can handle it?" Sora muttered, worriedly.
"Sonic's known for battling Eggman's robots. But we'll be there to help him soon."
Sora nodded still unsure that he could trust sonic and flew to their destination.
By then while this was happening, Eggman's robot appeared and the evil scientist grinned wickedly from his Egg Mobile, while unaware of what was going on nearby.
"There's my Egg-Hammer. The perfect plan to give Sonic and his friends a wake-up call to see that their plan as ultimately failed!" Eggman declared.
"I wonder how we managed to escape?" Decoe muttered in confusion.
"It cannot be ghosts and we don't know anyone who isn't Espio to use invisibility to open up doors and knock out the guards." Bocoe remarked, shrugging.
"Who cares how it happened? All that matters is that I'm back and those fools are about to get a taste of my ultimate weapon!" The evil doctor declared.
"Not if he gets to smash the robot first, boss." Cubot suddenly pointed to the right, and as his creator and fellow creations looked to see where he was pointing at, just as the Egg-Hammer was about to land, a familiar red figure came charging in and delivered a huge punch right at it's head, causing it to topple over a little.
The six of them were shocked just as the figure revealed itself to be Knuckles who glared at the giant robot which began to recover, and then at the bewildered mad doctor and the five other robots who exclaimed in shock and fear.
"Knuckles!?" Eggman exclaimed in disbelief and dismay, before demanding in anger. "That irritating gullible echidna! What is he doing here!?"
"My guess would be that he saw the Egg-Hammer fly over earlier and came to stop it and maybe Sonic will be arriving shortly as well..." Orbot theorized nervously with a gulp.
"Oh! I don't wanna go back to jail!" Bokkun whined as he knew that this was going to be another humiliating defeat.
"I don't know how you already managed to escape, Eggman, but you and that robot of yours are going to be crushed!" Knuckles warned with a growl.
Eggman wasn't impressed. "You fool! Just because you and that hedgehog and the rest of your friends have imprisoned me yesterday and foiled my latest plot, I have another trick up my sleeve!"
"Oh yeah!? I can take whatever you dish out!" The red echidha challenged.
The evil scientist once again grinned. "If that's what you want, then I'll gladly to serve you my special recipe." He then commanded his robot. "Get rid of him!"
The Egg-Hammer thrust it's hammer side to side before it charged and made to crush the echidna who leaped out of the way to avoid in getting crushed, and the battles were just beginning.
Meanwhile they rendezvous with sonic and amy who's ready with her piko piko hammer at the station square and they see eggman's creation.
"Come on guys." Sora stated. The Key Blade wielder ran ahead with Sonic right beside him. Kairi Mulan beast and jack sparrow ran after the pair with the rest of Team Sonic right behind them. Our heroes made it where knuckles is fight the evil Dr. Eggman who's smiling and hovering above them in his hovercraft.
"Egghead!" Sonic said.
"Sonic the Hedgehog and Team Sonic, how nice of you to show up?!" Eggman replied.
"What are you doing here?!" tails angrily asked.
"That's Eggman?" Sora asked, seeing the mad doctor for the first time. The weight of the man and the robot that Sonic and Knuckles were fighting almost immediately reminded him of a combination of the mad doctor in Halloween Town and Pete, but in a more evil way. Eggman smirked at the Key Blade wielder.
"Well, well. You must be Sora?" Eggman said clearly.
"What do you want with me?" Sora said holding the Key Blade tight.
"Heartless! Attack!" Eggman ordered.
"Bring it on!" Sonic responded egging the Heartless on. Sora, and the others attacked the Heartless from the left side while Sonic and his team battle their foes from the right. Although Eggman's tech enhanced the Heartless power, Sora and new friends stood their ground and eliminated as many Heartless as they can. Seeing their tide slowly turn, Eggman quickly escapes. Sora, kairi, beast, Sonic, jack sparrow, and tails spotted him escaping.
"He's not getting away that easy!" Sora said running after him. Sonic stayed behind shortly to see Knuckles, Tails, and amy fighting off the Heartless.
"We got this Sonic!" Knuckles stated breaking a Heartless' face.
"You help Sora and the others!" Tails added swinging his bo-staff at his enemies.
"Be careful!" Sonic said dodging and killing an incoming Heartless and heads to sora's direction.
Eggman now stood in Sora's ways as his hovercraft began to transform. His hovercraft had now transformed into a giant cybernetic, Heartless scorpion.
"A omega Heartless Scorpion!" sora said.
"You can't stop me!" Eggman exclaimed. Sora dodged Eggman's stinger as sonic charged with his speed and Donald summoned his magic. Sora continued to dodge the stinger with his Key Blade in hand, trying to find an opening. Sonic dodged the heartless' attacks and threw his won back. After that he goes up to sora.
"So, if we take it out," sonic turned to Sora, "Will it stop the others?"
"Maybe, but..." Sora shrugged.
"Good enough for me," The hedgehog smirked as ran straight for the eggbot.
"Wait!" Sora tried to warn him, "the omega Heartless are way more dangerous than the others! And that was before it was enhanced!"
"Buddy, I probably saved the universe ten times more than you by now since you were in diapers!" sonic continued his pace toward the villain, "I got this!"
Sora glanced to Kairi, "I'm not that bad am I?"
"No," She reassured him, "For the most part, you usually wait for backup."
Elsewhere the others see sonic's display.
"So, he's in there on his own," Mulan sighed.
Beast muttered to himself, "He's a joke. Almost as bad as Jack."
Jack merely smirked, "Ah, but you love me, don't ya, Beasty."
The beast glared in annoyance.
"Hahaha! You can't beat my Scorpion!" Eggman gloated. Just then, Sonic and his friends join in on the attack, weakening the outside as forcing Eggman to struggle.
"Sora! The Heart! Destroy it!" Tails said hanging on by the stinger. Sora nods and gripped the Key Blade and slid under the scorpion, stabbing its heart. The Heartless Scorpion screamed in pain, sending Eggman flying out of station square as well. Sonic and his friends landed next to Sora as the others finished off the rest of the heartless and the omega ones. A small victory, but their battle was far from over.
"We did it!" sonic cheered. the gang cheered in unison. All except for sora and the crew who are glaring at sonic.
Sonic said "what?"
"Sonic... you can't just run off on your own..." Sora scolded, "What if it had been an Omega Heartless, or Maleficent, or Vader..."
"I would have been fine," sonic reassured him.
Tails perked up and approaches sora "excuse me who is this vader and maleficent?"
And then sora begins to tell everything of who vader is.
Even maleficent.
KHKHKHKH
Professor pickle spits out his tea in surprise upon hearing the name of the empire. "the empire?" he exclaimed.
"yes" Sora answered, "as I said before Their homeworld was overtaken by the empire and they've been helping us find Keyblade Wielders."
They were all gathered at professor pickle's house to report of sora's situation and radiant garden.
"Trust me," The professor turned to them, "you do not want to pick a fight with the Empire."
"What are you talking about," sonic raised an eyebrow, "We've faced worse. I mean, if they're this bad..."
"no. you Wouldn't dare to touch them," pickle cut him off, "Not without risking an intergalactic war.
"But professor we have the chaos emeralds even sonic they're gotta be something we can do." Said tails.
"Afraid you can't. even if you can use the chaos emeralds or sonic for that matter Anyone who tries to stand up to the Empire... they're never seen or heard of again." He glanced the Keybladers.
The professor sighed, "I'm sorry. But there's nothing you can do for them or your home."
"Professor," tails gasped in shock, "How can you say that?!"
"I'm sorry but we don't stand a chance against them." The professor said in conclusion.
Sora spoke up and said "I'm sorry we didn't anything like this sooner. We didn't want to interfere with your world. I'm afraid we should leave and look for another keybearer elsewhere.
Just then someone said "no."
Sora kairi beast Mulan and jack sparrow turn around upon hearing that. Sonic was the one who said no. and he's glaring daggers at sora.
"I'm not going to stand by and do nothing while you guys handle things by yourselves."
Sora utters "what? What do you say?"
Tails said out of concern "sonic?
Sonic responded "I said I'm not going to stand by and do nothing. Eggman's my enemy. I always defend mobius and fight his robots or whatever he throws at me. But I can't let you guys handle this without me."
Sora said "sonic stop joking around. This is a dangerous situation between us."
Kairi responded "and now we've overheard eggman's team up with the heartless it's only a matter of time before they attack your home for the third time."
Sora agreed "you're just going to get yourself killed out there sonic. I'm sorry but we're gonna handle this by ourselves without your help."
Mulan replied "and we can't allow this world suffer the same fate as others did." she said reminding she lost her homeworld.
Sonic argued "but this is my homeworld too! You need me on this even if you guys have weapons that may fix our universe's dilemma."
Sora shook his head and said "no sonic. It's too dangerous. You're just leading your ego get in the way."
Sonic all but shouted "well why do you care? You told me that you've saved the world twice! I've saved mobius a dozen times for crying out loud! And you're telling me I don't want to be a part of this saving world team?"
Sora sadly explained "it's not just it. There's more. You've still have what it takes to be a true hero. The professor's right. You guys don't stand a chance against the empire. Not after we left riku."
Sonic said sarcastically "oh right your friend that you left by the empire because you guys fled like the cowards you are?!"
The keyblade team winced upon hearing that. Sora of all people was shocked hearing that too.
Amy spoke up "sonic you can't speak to our guests that way!"
sonic exclaimed "I can and I will! This is exactly how and what happened when he told his story last night! Some keyblade master you are! And now you tell me you don't want me in the loop?"
sora upon hearing this shouted "well why do you care? You think I don't know that? I was like you once sonic but I don't want to be that person anymore!"
sonic said "why not? We're not so different! You told me that!"
sora yelled "because I changed! Since the battle of 1000 heartless! You're right. We can't win against the empire but all I've seen you did is being stupid incompetent and reckless as I was and you're just repeating the same mistakes as I am and you're not fit to save mobius!"
everyone gasped. Kairi yelled out "sora!" sora heard this and he sees a hurtful sonic and his friends hearing that outburst and sora instantly regretted of what he just said.
He was sounding just like Leon they fled radiant garden and when they left Riku behind.
Sonic gets over his expression and responds coldly "well if that's the way you feel about me you guys are not fit to save your friend held by the empire either. You guys go ahead and stop the heartless from spreading. I quit."
"but sonic-" protested amy.
Sonic said sadly "no it's fine amy. It's their decision. Let them do as they please."
And then he walks away. After kairi shouted "sora that was very mean of you!"
And sora winced upon hearing this and realizes what he had done. Was his recklessness not worth the effort? But sora can only remember a time he was like that with Donald and goofy around… but did they protest of his good intentions? No. do they always flee when the going gets tough? No. but if they were around even if they could've saved radiant garden stand up against the empire and saved riku? Yes.
Jack sparrow of all people breaks the silence "well this is kinda disappointing."
"Shut up!" yelled Mulan.
"What? Just say what we all thinking." Said jack.
"We didn't say you're an annoying drunk." Beast put in gruffly. "And we all thinking that."
Sora realized his mistake and spoke up "no. sonic's right. We've been running away for too long from the empire maleficent and the horned king. Can you guys hold down the fort and let me talk to sonic?"
The gang agrees "right!" and sora leaves to talk to sonic.
KHKHKHKH
Meanwhile, as Eggman was being carried in the helicopter yet again along with his robots, the massive shock-waves caused the GUN chopper to lose control and some of the passengers, including the evil scientist himself as well as Decoe, Bocoe, Bokkun, Orbot and Cubot, to fall out and land in separate areas below and far beyond Station Square and the military facility.
While they did manage to escape by sheer luck by the unusual event and the soldiers that also fell out were still alive themselves due to having parachutes, the evil bumbling six ended up having a not-so-pleasent crash landing as usual.
In fact, the six laid on the ground in the middle of a forest flat everywhere...well, Decoe and Bocoe's case, literally, but they were still functional as they, Orbot, Cubot, and Bokkun reactivated, and groaned in agony.
"Man, that wasn't a fun ride at all." Cubot complained, rubbing his head. "I think I got a headache."
"I think my joints are bent out of angle." Orbot moaned, rubbing his left arm.
"At least you both and Bokkun are still in one piece." Bocoe deadpanned, with his right arm and both legs lying beside him.
"We're both literally in pieces. That strange shockwave caused massive ends and Earthquakes everywhere." Decoe added, already attempting to put himself back together, as he really hated it when he was in pieces. He wished that his joints were super glued or something.
Bokkun in the meantime, noticed how Eggman was seemingly unmoving, approached with caution and began to poke the doctor's leg with a stick the same way Tails did two years ago during the Chaos Crisis...and very much like that time, the evil scientist groaned and slowly began to sit up.
"WAAH! He is alive!" Bokkun yelped in fright, as though worried his creator had become a zombie.
"Of course I am, you little bomb-hog!" Eggman growled in annoyance, sore but very much alive and in a really foul mood. "Now don't just sit there! Get these things off of me!"
"Rodent troubles?" said a raspy voice.
Eggman turns his head and sees pete. "who are you?"
"I have an offer that I know you will not regret." pete said.
"What is this offer that you speak?" Eggman questioned with a smirk.
"A Partnership see." pete stated. "You see we have an enemy in common. If you can help me with our conquest and maleficent, then I'll help you destroy this Team Sonic of yours. So, Dr. Eggman, do we have a deal?" pete ask extending his hand. Dr. Eggman smirked grew as he shook pete's hand; they've officially joined forces.
"We have a deal." Eggman answered.
After breaking Eggman from jail pete uses the heartless by transforming the weaken eggbots into something even more powerful and dangerous. Within a matter of seconds, dr eggman had a new army of different, powerful eggbots as Eggman's minions evilly grinned at pete.
"Right. Now just tell me where the keys are, and I'll do the rest." Eggman answered with an evil smile. Dr. Eggman and pete evilly laughed together; their plan to destroy sonic the hedgehog has only just begun.
KHKHKHKH
The keyblade wieldier walked to where sonic is by the river. He found the blue hedgehog sitting with his arms and knees against a tree.
"Sonic?" sora asked getting to snap out of his depressed trance.
"Oh hey." Sonic said.
sora explained "I just want to come by and say I'm sorry I tried to shut you out of whatever we do. It's just that…I didn't want anybody to be hurt by the empire."
Sonic said "but you told me you want to find the keybearers and fight back against them. So why the sudden change?"
Sora said was "I don't know. Maybe I wanted to change for the better. I must've picked Leon's brain during the discussion. Look at me. I'm no better than him."
Sonic smiled "I guess we're both disappointments on being a hero." Sora couldn't help but smile and they share a heartly laugh.
"You know you were just trying to stop Eggman, right? And you fixed up the world with the help of Tails and your other friends. You didn't do anything wrong at all. You care for the world, for your friends, and everybody else. To me, that's what I call a real hero." Said sora.
"Hey, Helping out others is what we do best." The hero of Mobius continued. "Plus, it'll be fun going on another adventure."
They both grinned. Just then Sonic's communicator spring to life.
"Sonic! Eggman's forces are surging the city again. We need you here now!" called tails.
Without missing a beat he answered "don't worry tails. I'll be there soon!"
By turning off his communicator he turns to sora "shall we?"
"Definitely" said sora grinning to ear to ear and race to station square.
KHKHKHKH
It was absolute madness.
Which is why the kh team and team sonic had to run, saving as many as they could.
It wasn't long before they found a clearing in the city. It wasn't much, just a little square that people could use to get into different buildings.
But what did concern them was the fact that he spotted a group of civilians cowering in fear at the sight of the robots.
Tails ran in, swinging his namesakes around and taking out several of the machines.
People cheered as he fought them. Tails, had saved him. They were going to be okay!
When the robots were cleared out, Tails couldn't help but smile before he looked at the others.
"Is everyone okay?" He asked them.
Several of them gave their affirmations only to stiffen at the sound of a light humming from behind the fox.
"No, Tails. You just so happen to be ruining the fun."
Tails spun around, to come face to face with Doctor Eggman sitting with his usual cheshire grin.
"Eggman!" Tails cried out.
"The one and only. Glad to see you little minscreants are enjoying themselves while I burn down this city."
"The only one having fun here is you!"
"Perhaps. But that makes it all the more enjoyable."
Just then Eggman sees his oldest enemy and sora approaching him taking out one robot at a time.
"I stand corrected." The evil scientist grumbled in annoyance, frustrated that his young long-time enemy has arrived already while the five robot minions now looked pretty worried and lowered themselves within the Egg Mobile, preparing themselves for another painful defeat.
"It's Sonic..." Decoe moaned.
"We're going to be dismantled!" Bocoe wailed.
"Eggman! This is a new low! How did you escape from the GUN's prison cells!?" Sonic demanded immediately, glaring at the mad doctor and wanting to get straight to the point.
"How did I escape? Well, that's none of your business, hedgehog! I did warn you that I had a back-up plan and I would be back!" Eggman snapped in return, glaring at the teenage hedgehog. "Unlike previously in the past, I learn from my mistakes and now you and your friends are about to pay for not paying any much attention!"
Sonic just hissed, attempting to ignore the fact that the mad doctor was right, and knew that he and his friends would still have to continue fighting him until they were certain he wouldn't escape again and stay in jail.
"Actually, we were securely locked up, but somethin' invisible let us out and it ain't Espio but maybe another Chameleon who's a fan of the Big Bad Egg." Cubot dimwittedly pointed out, which only made the rest of the bad guys groan in dismay and Eggman facepalming himself in exasperation.
That caught both teenage Mobians by surprise as they shared a glance in confusion over this revelation. So if Eggman didn't escape on his own, then who was the supposed chameleon that was apparently a fan to free the doctor? Well, it did at least lower the guilt Sonic felt for not paying much attention to Eggman's escape attempts.
"Guess you didn't really learn after all. You just got lucky because you got yourself another fan who isn't Starline to free you." Sonic taunted with a grin, folding his arms while Knuckles couldn't help but smirk.
"Oh, shut up! You have the entire world fan-basing on you and yet you just go off exploring!" Eggman yelled in irritation.
"That's because I love exploring and making friends, not taking over the world which FYI for a millionth time, it belongs to everyone, not just one person, especially you." Sonic argued, frowning deeply. "I didn't ask to be a hero, I just became one because it's the right thing to do! And I'll keep on doing it 'til the day the world is in real peace and I can die peacefully."
"Well, I guess we can agree to disagree, because you will be dead before you can live to see my Eggman Empire finally be built!" The evil doctor declared and once again commanded his robot. "CRUSH THEM!"
The Egg-Hammer swung it's hammer high above it's head as it recovered and thrust it down at the two Mobians who leaped back and avoided in getting crushed while dust was sent flying everywhere even as Sonic and Knuckles landed. The two glared up at it when it's eyes glowed and was ready to attack once again, with Eggman laughing darkly before it charged once more, yet Sonic quickly sped around it to make it lose concentration as it tried to hit him with a surprising speed, but still not as fast as he was. The blue hedgehog was running so fast that the giant robot, and even the evil scientist, Decoe, Bocoe, Bokkun, Orbot and Cubot were all quickly getting dizzy and saw stars in their heads.
"C'mon, ya' slow poke! I've seen snails slither faster than you!" Sonic taunted, grinning as he wanted to have it disoriented before he and his friend could give it another attack.
Once the blue hedgehog made it dizzy enough, Knuckles charged forward and gave the giant machine a series of attacks before Sonic joined in with several Spin Dashes and Homing Attacks which seemingly left the robot helpless with the attacks of the two Mobians. But to their shock as they made to land, the Egg-Hammer then held the hammer with one hand and it's left hand then transformed into a second, smaller Hammer which as they attempted to block or attack it, it smacked them both hard where they both screamed in pain before hitting the ground hard.
But just as quick as he appeared, he seemingly disappeared again. The robots tried to fire on sonic, but he was just too fast. Seemingly blinking into and out of existence before there was nothing left but a pile of scrap on the floor.
"Is everyone okay?"
They could only cheer; not only Sonic saving them, but seeing him in action first hand.
Tails was the one who answered. "We are thanks to you. Cutting it a little close though, pal."
"Yeah, that's pretty much how I roll."
He then turned and pointed to Eggman, who was still wearing his cheshire grin. "Okay. let's finish this, Eggman!"
But he still smiled at him. "But it will be your finish, Sonic. Behold the power of my ultimate masterpiece!"
Reaching into his coat pocket, the evil scientist revealed a small, handheld control and slammed his thumb onto the blaring-red trigger at the top. A powerful explosion ripped through eh surface of station square, showering the heroes in a light drizzle of water. The Keyblade trio could only guess that Eggman released depth charges in the lake, but sadly disappointed and, in amy's case, terrified. Emerging from the wake of station square was a titanic machine with a multiple level of thick, rusty-red armor, wing-like protrusions from its shoulders, and a row of green orbs at the bottom to it the impression of a tail. Covering the machine's right hand was a powerful laser system with a circle of eight Gatling barrels wrapped around the main cylinder. The left hand was replaced by an electrified sword that was spiraled strangely in the shape of a drill. The head of the machine was nowhere in sight, but was instead left unoccupied until Eggman and the Egg-Mobile settled in its place. Eggman laughed joyously above the stunned trio, commanding his new weapon of destruction to clash it weapons in a threatening manner.
"You don't see that every day." Sonic commented.
"Ok, anyone mind telling me where that came from?" sora shrieked freakishly.
"Such technology shouldn't be available at this time!" tails glared dangerously. "What have you done, Eggman?"
"You didn't think I'd be foolish enough to come unarmed!" Eggman cackled menacingly. "I had expected the Keyblade Master to try and stop me, so I decided to bring some precautions." He slapped the metal of his advanced weapon fondly. "I had built the Egg-Dragoon a few years before being banished, but it will only work if I have my trusted Egg-Mobile at the controls. That meddlesome king got rid of my beautiful hovercraft shortly after my exile."
"Now, sonic, prepare for the end!" Eggman exclaimed.
The mad scientist took hold of the controls and commanded the Egg-Dragoon to raise its right hand – the Gatling gun spiraled around the main pistol. As the Mechanical Titan unleashed eight separate blasts of blazing energy, amy and Tails dodge rolled to either side, but Sonic bravely tumbled forward. He managed to deflect the two initial shots, but the compressed stones were breaking off upon contact with the remainder of the load. By the seventh shot, The cobalt hedgehog was thrown back by the force of the impact and rebounded off the ground – his winced at the sharp flint digging at his shoulder. However, that was nothing compared to the pain he felt afterwards. Sonic was still flailing in the air when the final shot made full contact with his back, leaving behind a smoking-black mark over his spinal cord. Eggman was overjoyed. The hedgehog finally touched the grass again and rolled unconsciously on his side, hissing and moaning for the burning sensation tearing at his nerves. While Tomo tried to bravely attack Eggman head-on amy dashed over and skidded to a halt at Sonic's side, kneeling close with a worried stare.
"Sonic, are you all right?" amy asked fearfully.
"amy..."Sonic moaned weakly. "I can't...move..."
the Egg-Dragoon cocked its gatling gun and began collecting the necessary energy for the attack.
"NOW DIE!" bellowed Eggman.
sonic's hand then glowed bright. eggman and sonic froze in their fight to see the phenomenon. Sonic held the item above his head. It was a large blade that was amazingly formed in the shape of a key and had a yellow metal square circling the handle. At the end of the blade with a key chain shaped like buzz saw which is Sonic's symbol. Sonic star fluttered through sonic's mind.
"What the..." sonic muttered looking at his new weapon.
"Hey!", Sora shouted over the battle. "sonic's got a Keyblade!"
"Who could have seen that coming?" Jack Sparrow said, sarcastically.
sonic smirked and hefted his new Keyblade. "Let's see what this thing can do!"
"Augh! You two are becoming a real pain in the butt!" Eggman yelled furiously; the Egg-Dragoon hovered over station square completely out of their range. "But know this; Dr. Eggman will have the final laugh!"
The round scientist wasted no time and slammed his fist on the console, much to Eggman's jubilation, the Keyblade Master was sent flying in the direction away from the Egg-Dragoon. The evil scientist sniggered at the buffoon's pathetic attempt and readied the Egg-Dragoon's freeze piston for the final shot. The ended up being the mistake he wouldn't soon forget. As it turned out, Eggman and his Mechanical Titan were the intended targets for the Sonic but was instead aimed for the city connecting to station square. Combining the high amounts of acceleration and the strength of the Keyblade, Sonic was able to began to drift upwards into the sky and collided with the Egg-Dragoon above, crushing the Mechanical Titan upon impact. Eggman managed to separate the Egg-Mobile from the main body of his machine, but the explosion created upon the destruction threw the mad scientist off balance and lunged out of his seat. At the last second, Sonic rebound off the mountainside and Spin Dashed backwards across the air, and so the new Keyblade Master landed safely on the shore, laughing openly as his enemy performed a belly flop in the middle of station square.
"Looks like that's game." Sonic grinned.
"Bah! Meddlesome hedgehog!" Eggman snarled as he pulled himself out of the debris. "This won't be the last you've seen of me!"
And so he fled into the distance as per usual. After that sora persuades sonic to join his group.
"Really? You want me to come with?"
"Yup." Said sora.
Knuckles said "good luck out there sonic."
"And remember to be good." Said tails in tears.
And sonic turns to his beloved amy who's trying to hold back tears.
"Good luck sonic." Said amy struggling not to cry. "we'll be rooting for you."
And amy hugs sonic with tears of sadness. And sonic takes the hug to allow the girl to let it out.
Sora couldn't help but smile at the moving feature.
And sonic lightly chuckled and to sora and the gang and he then turned to him, "So, with two saviors of the universe, the bad guys don't stand a chance!"
"Heck ya!" Sora nodded, "They'll never know what hit them!"
As everyone leaving this world, left to the Gummiship, sonic stated, "But for the record, mine are definitely greater than yours!"
"Yeah, right!" Sora scoffed, "In your dreams!"
KHKHKHKH
Meanwhile, a mysterious armored figure, watched as the Gummiship took off. The Chaser watched as the ship took of as he grinned underneath his helmet, "Ah, just missed them. Another time then."
He turned to leave as the hunt would soon commence...
