Chapter 16 what rock has this guy been under
Sam's POV
"What exactly is the bargain?"
The man stepped back saying,
"It's simple, at the moment I'm the only one who knows you're alive. Meaning, if you tell me everything I want to know I'll let you go, and you don't have to worry about pursuit. If you refuse I will hand you over to some people you have heard of. Not only that I can and will, make it appear as though you are a major threat to the camp. Mark my words, Percy Jackson is not kind to anyone who threatens his home."
I swallowed hard. I remembered the Son of Nept…ehh, Possidedan well. He was unstoppable in the war games. And didn't take kindly to anyone messing with his friends, he also didn't take no for an answer, even from the gods themselves. Yes I had definitely heard of Percy Jackson, after all he was the one who exploded a water canen up my nose. What he was offering was a no brainer, so I said,
"What do you want to know?"
"I have been disconnected from the magical world for several years. I want to know everything you can tell me about the past three years."
I thought that was a weird request, but I did what he asked. He never took his eyes off me as I told him everything I could about the fight on Mount Authoris. How Jason Defeated Krios, toppling the black throne. How Percy turned up at Camp Jupiter with the goddess Juno, and his quest to Alaska. I told of the Prophecy of seven and the bombing of new Rome. I recounted how Gia met her end in a fiery explosion and the legion turning on Octavian. By the time I had finished, pre-dawn light was filtering through the broken windows. I licked my lips hoping he was satisfied.
"Is that everything you know of happening?"
"Just about."
"What did you leave out?"
"Only one thing that couldn't be true."
"Tell me." He ordered,
"Ok." I said nervously.
"The night before we entrenched ourselves around the Greek camp. A Redheaded mortal girl who claimed to be the Oracle of Delphi and a Fawn who claimed to be the Lord of the wild. Turned up at our base of operations with a message for Praetor Reyna."
"What was the message?"
"The girl said that Annabeth Chase had sent them a note from Tartarus, asking for Reyna to meet the seven in Greece and transport the Athena parthenos back to Long Island."
I couldn't read my captors face so I continued.
"Even though the girl had to be lying, Reyna believed her, and left at once."
"What makes you believe the girl was lying?"
I scoffed, "for one thing how could any Demigod survive Tartarus Let alone send a note? Besides, she had also claimed that she had one hit Saturn in the eye with her blue plastic hairbrush."
My captor got a funny look on his face as if trying to recall something, he rubbed an eye absently. But shook it off and stood, gabbing a strip of cloth he blindfolded me, saying.
"Hold still."
I did and I felt him cut my bonds and pull me rufly to my feet. Without saying another word he marched me out of the billing and away into the unknown. After what felt like an eternity we stopped. He untied my blind folded saying.
"You have five minutes to run as far away from here as you can. If I ever see your face again you're a dead man. Now run and don't look back."
With his last words he pushed me down the hill forcing me to start running if I didn't want to fall flat on my face. So I ran as hard and fast as I could away from the Greeks and away from that man
