As the meeting droned on Hermione couldn't stop herself from looking across the table at the ferret.

His beautiful greyish silver eyes focused on the current speaker. His brow furrowed as he absorbed the information that was being presented.

Oh my gosh! I need to stop looking at him. Hermione stop looking at him! I mean he looks good in that all black suit and who even wears a three piece suit to the office? I mean he can pull it off. He probably gets his suits tail… Merlin! why do I care about his clothes? Focus Hermione, this is important!

Hermione quickly diverted her attention back to the meeting, trying to make notes of any important points that she needed to remember or even clarify for later.

After another 30 painfully long minutes, the meeting was adjourned with Hermione and Malfoy selected as liaisons for their respective departments. Hermione was not happy with this decision, however, since it was voted by her peers, it couldn't be changed.

Hermione sighed thinking about all the unwanted time she would have to spend with Malfoy. At least she knew if he was to bully her again, she could just punch him in the face, heal his wounds and repeat.

As Hermione was gathering her things a shadow fell on her. "Well Granger… I guess we're stuck with each other for the next 6 to 8 months. Should I get my secretary to schedule a meeting with you or would you prefer to arrange them yourself?" asked Malfoy. His grey eyes looking at Hermione wearily as if she may actually punch him for being near her.

Hermione cleared her throat to make sure she sounded professional but also to hide her slight discomfort at their proximity. See Malfoy wasn't too close to evade her space but to Hermione he was too close, far too close to catch the hint of his musky aftershave. "How about your secretary schedules the meetings and I'll amend them if needed."

They both knew that Hermione wasn't comfortable near Malfoy after her time at the Malfoy Manner. Malfoy took a step back, subconsciously trying to give Hermione space. He didn't want her to feel boxed in. "Alright then… we'll chat soon… It was good seeing you Granger," Malfoy nodded before walking out of the glass boardroom.

Hermione let go of a breath she didn't know she held. Working with Malfoy was going to be complicated. She didn't understand how she could be attracted to someone that annoyed her but slightly scared her. But Hermione was a big girl, she'd faced a lot worse during her school career.

As for her attraction towards him, she learnt that those fade over time. That stupid potion was just a trick of her senses and her being single for so long was making her grasp at straws when it came to single and available men.
