The Smurfocalypse Chapter 130: The Search for the Savant Cure Part 23: Love and Justice! The True Sunlight Yellow Beam!

While the others fought against the magic Mammoth's group still traversed the forest. He was understandably exhausted. He was encumbered carrying three other Smurfs on the tusks of his helmet all while suffering the torpor emitting from his surroundings in the form of ancient magic. As he walked Dew and Pearl continued to bicker with one another debating whether or not the other was tired, and teasing the living hell out of each other. Sweepy walked just in front of him. Mammoth had the will power to hold the world together as Atlas holds up the globe, but he was definitely noticing he was getting older and he was tired. He was lagging behind trying to focus and keep his eyes open. His eyes close for a moment and that's when he heard her.

"Mammoth…" Anzu said.

Her voice echoed through his head.

"Anzu?!" Mammoth said waking right up and looking around.

Sweepy stops in his tracks and turns his back towards Mammoth.

"Hm? You say something big guy?" Sweepy asked.

"Anzu… I heard Anzu. Just now when I closed my eyes. I heard her voice." Mammoth said.

"Whose Anzu?" Sweepy asked genuinely not remembering.

"She's my wife. She was killed by Vanity and yet…" Mammoth said.

"Then it doesn't make sense that she'd be here." Sweepy said reassuringly.

"Yeah I know but…" Mammoth said still looking towards where he swore he heard her voice come from.

"Mammoth. The forest's magic is playing tricks on us. Don't fall for it." Sweepy said.

"Hey uh… Dew… I kinda ran out of things to rip on you for so uh… I'm just going to take your shoe I guess." Pearl said barely standing.

"No… I'm gonna be the one with the uh… shoe, or something and something about you being a bitch." Dew responded sounded equally exhausted.

"I have to admit I'm in the same boat as them. Mammoth we have got to do something fast." Sweepy said.

"There has be a quicker way out…" Mammoth said being a fan of short cuts admittedly when navigating the woods.

Mammoth shook his head trying to stay awake and he hears her again.

"Mammoth!" Anzu shouted.

"Anzu!" Mammoth yelled.

"Mammoth stop!" Sweepy yelled.

"She's telling me to go this way." Mammoth said pointing to his right.

"And I'm telling you it's not real! I don't hear anything Mammoth! Nothing!" Sweepy said.

Mammoth just shakes his head and drops Storm, Hefty, and Blossom's body at Sweepy's feet.

"Watch them! I'll be back!" Mammoth said stomping off.

"Mammoth! Where are you going?! We have to stick together!" Sweepy shouted going after him.

"What is even going on?" Dew asked.

"I don't even know anymore." Pearl said.

Sweepy tried to chase after Mammoth but he had gotten faster. Either that or Sweepy was getting more tired. Sweepy stops to take a breath and then Dew carelessly bumps into him causing him to drop his enchanted dagger as it fell from his belt. The moment that thing left his person Sweepy's eyes shut and he fell face first in the dirt.

"We're going to die aren't we?" Pearl asked to herself.

"It only happened after he dropped that magic knife." Dew said.

"Aren't the shoes magic too?" Pearl asked.

"I think so…" Dew said.

"We have to go guard Storm and the other's bodies." Pearl said.

"Guess you're right." Dew said.

Meanwhile Mammoth was being led by his wife Anzu towards a threat that could have ended their lives had it gone unchecked. Within this massive forest there were many creatures. Among them was a chimera that had been born within the tree line hence making it naturally immune to the magic. The group was getting dangerously close to its hunting grounds. Mammoth followed his wife's voice until he saw the huge behemoth before him. The body of a lion, the head of a goat, and the tail of a snake. This creature was feared by humans. What chance would the average Smurf stand especially like this?

"That could be a problem… Is that what you wanted to show me Anzu?" Mammoth said.

Mammoth generates his Smurf essence stepping out of the foliage so the creature would see his blazing purple aura. Mammoth kept generating Smurf essence, his entire body encased in gold reflecting off the sun's rays giving off a blinding light that was quickly expanding until it spanned far beyond even his aura.

"Sunlight Yellow Beam!" Mammoth shouted as he released his attack.

The sunlight gathering and reflecting off him then shot towards the chimera and engulfed it in light in a massive attack that displays power on a level that currently remains unseen by anyone he knows that is alive. Not even Compy knows truly the extent to how grand a finisher this is. The creature was reduced to a fine black ash. Gone in an instant. However that massive attack takes a ton of energy. Mammoth had no more to give to the innocent. He falls to his knees and then falls forward asleep on the floor.

"What was that huge light?!" Pearl shouted.

"Wasn't Mammoth over there!?" Dew shouted.

They look at each other and then at their passed out friends.

"I'll check it out." Dew said.

"Oh no you don't. I get to be cool this time Dew." Pearl said raising a finger.

"Fine… It's your funeral just don't get your blood on my shoe." Dew said.

Pearl investigated the source of the blinding light they had seen. She finds Mammoth collapsed from exhaustion. She saw the aftermath. The destruction. What remained of the chimera, and all she did was just sort of put her hand to her chin and pondered it all. Mammoth had torn a hole right through the forest with his attack. One could see right where his attack vaporized everything in its path and see outside the forest through it. She was feeling less fatigued standing in the midst of it all, and she gets an idea.

"Wait until Dew finds out I saved the day again." Pearl thought proudly.

Right. She saved the day. Never mind Mammoth whom she didn't even bother to investigate the wellbeing of as she was so excited to brag to Dew that she left him laying there. Mammoth would be fine though he was experiencing normal fatigue since he was outside the forest now. Now Dew and Pearl would have to work together with their bizarre chemistry in order to save the group. It was the end of the game now and all the pieces fell from grace except for the bishops. Two souls bound by rivalry carry the fate of Port Saint Smurf and its Smurfs in their hands.

"Dew I don't know how, but Mammoth found a place in the forest where the magic doesn't work." Pearl said walking up to her.

"Let's move the others there and wait to see if Sweepy was right and they'll wake up." Dew said.

Dew and Pearl get to work safely hauling their unconscious friends into the clearing Mammoth created. As they stood there watching over them protectively they started to feel less tired and their energy was returning to the level it'd realistically be at considering the time of day and respective quality of their sleep cycle.

"You know what sucks?" Dew asked.

"Your life?" Pearl said with a smirk.

Dew punches Pearl.

"No! The fact my weapon doesn't have a sheath!" Dew said.

"Oh yeah? You wanna settle the score right now?" Pearl asked.

"You know I can't. Not while Storm is like this!" Dew said.

"Whatever live in fear of me then." Pearl said.

"Tch! You make me so mad Pearl." Dew said turning her head away.

The hours would tick by so slowly that it was as though time stood still before them. Dew finally got tired of standing around and shoved her Trident into the ground so it was sticking blades up and sat down on a log next to it and began to eat.

"How can you think of food at a time like this?" Pearl asked.

"If I'm going to die and everything we love is going to fall apart again I at least want to not be in pain because I'm hungry." Dew said eating her sandwich.

"Dew… You have to believe Storm will find a way out of whatever she's going through. She'll be back. Storm can do anything." Pearl said.

"I know… I'm just worried." Dew said.

Pearl sighed sitting next to her.

"Me too Dew." Pearl said.

As Dew and Pearl keeps watch. There was more to be seen that went on in the other world. Blossom was discovering a side of herself that would forever make her stronger.
