So this begins with a continuation scene from where the previous chapter left off. Thought it would be interesting to leave y'all in suspense.
I do not own Paw Patrol, nor do I own its characters. I do own Jessie and Terra.
Also, there's an important message at the end that you must read.
Continuation of Scene 21:
The lion comes closer to Danny.
Jessie hops into her pick-up and uses her lasso to grab Danny. He is then pulled into the back of her pick-up.
Danny: "Jessie, you rescued me?"
Jessie: "We ain't out of trouble yet. That there lion's comin' right towards us."
Jessie drives off on the road. The lion roars and chases after them.
Marshall: "That lion doesn't look like he's going to stop playing chase with Jessie and Danny."
Rocky: "Ryder, we need to help Jessie!"
Chase: "I thought you were afraid of Jessie?"
Rocky: "That's before I got to know her better. She's not a mean a pup. She's just a good pup who wants to help however she can. And now, we need to help her!"
Ryder: "Rocky's right. We need to secure that lion and save Jessie and Danny. Rocky, do you have anything that can lure a lion back in his cage?"
Rocky: "I'm right on it! Anything to help Jessie."
Rocky runs to his vehicle to look for anything that can help them.
Ryder: "Chase, take Marshall on your police car. You can catch-up with that lion and Marshall can use your mega phone to talk to him."
Chase: "Chase is on the case!"
Marshall: "I'm fired up to stop a lion!"
Chase and Marshall take the police car to catch-up with that lion. But the lion begins to run faster as the sirens get closer to him.
Captain Turbit: "Ryder, some wild critters get scared easily from loud noises."
Ryder: "Chase, Marshall, the lion's too scared of the sirens. Come back."
Zuma: "But, how are we going to stop that lion if he's too scared of loud noises?"
Ryder: "Maybe we can use loud noises to scare the lion back into his cage. Or someone who can bark loud enough to scare him."
Ryder looks at Terra.
Terra: "Really, me? Even after I've caused so much trouble scaring everyone with my barking?"
Skye: "You were just trying to help."
Ryder: "And now, we really need your help. You're the only pup who can bark loud enough to scare the lion back into his cage."
Terra: "But, how can I get close to that lion?"
Ryder: "Skye can fly you close enough for you to bark at him."
Rocky returns with a pink gift box with a yellow bow in it.
Rocky: "And once you stop him, we can lead the lion back to his cage with this gift."
Rubble: "What's inside the gift box, Rocky?"
Rocky grins.
Rocky: "Something that the lion will like."
Ryder: "Alright, Rocky. Then lets rescue our friends."
Scene 22: Terra is strapped into Skye's harness. The rest of the team is alongside.
Skye: "You strapped in, Terra?"
Terra: "All safely secured."
Rocky gives Terra the gift box.
Rocky: "When Ryder gives you the signal, show the lion this gift."
Marshall: "And I'll tell the lion that there's something in it that he'll like."
Terra: "But Ryder, how are you going to give me the signal?"
Ryder: "Through your pup tag, of course!"
Terra: "My pup tag?"
Ryder puts a collar with a pup tag on Terra.
Ryder: "Terra, you're now an official member of the Paw Patrol!"
Terra: "Me? Really? Wow, thanks!"
Ryder: "Now I can call you on the pup tag and let you know when to bark really loudly."
Terra: "Awesome! Skye, you ready for this?"
Skye: "Lets take to the skies!"
Skye's helicopter takes off with Terra strapped in the harness.
Terra: "It's a real beauty when this pup's on duty!"
Now the fun really begins. As for Terra's pup tag, I see it as grey with a yellow triangle on it. Not a whole lot, but it's what a guard dog symbol looks like. If any of you have better ideas, I'm willing to listen to them.
I'll admit that Terra's catchphrase isn't really original. I got the saying from Homeward Bound 2. Thought it would sound nice here.
P.S. As an honest writer, it is my duty to inform when I had been wrong. In my previous works, I mention of how a man had run over a wolf cub, showed her off in a bar, tormented her while she was still alive, then beaten her to death just for the fun of it. I was so enraged that I've been mentioning this case in my works demanding that he be jailed for his cruel actions. Only now I have realized that I have been going at this all wrong. I still want that man to be given a rightful penalty for what he did, but we shouldn't focus only on him. We should be focusing on the fact that he was able to get away with tormenting a young wolf and given a small fine as a result. How is it that Wyoming allows people to run over animals purposely? Why did no one interfere when that man was tormenting a live wolf in public? This cannot be acceptable. I've depicted the man as a monster long enough. It's time to focus on society in general and how animals are treated. The laws must protect not only domesticated animals. Wildlife deserve just as much protection. I mean, had that wolf been a dog or a cat that man would have faced more serious charges. Doesn't sound fair, does it? This needs to change now. And that change starts will us. It's time we march right up to those high and mighty government officials and demand that they add laws that protect all animals both wild and domestic. And if they don't listen, make them! Take matters into your own hands if you need to. You can't break a law, but you can work around it. Nothing says you can't stand up to someone harming an animal or demand the government for better animal protection laws. Heck, if people can protest about climate change during live TV events, then animal lovers can do the same. What I'm trying to say is to go big! The more attention a cause gets, the more people will support and will want to get involved. Actions, protests and passion were what led to equal rights between sexes and races. And they can do the same to protect animals of all kinds.
