Chapter 7:
Waking up the next day had been like the wildest dreams had suddenly come true. Eric opened his eyes to find Calleigh sleeping next to him, the sheets a bit low exposing her bare back, revealing the sides of her breasts as she laid on her stomach with her head on the pillow and her arms up against her head. He smiled as he thought about last night. They had finally made love and Eric couldn't believe it actually happened, not after all these years he had waited for her to be ready for this. The way she had looked at him and touched him, kissed him, the way she moaned...he could still hear her moans making him shiver, he could still hear her telling him to make love to her, to be inside of her. He had later taken a peek at his back, and Eric couldn't help the smile that escaped him. She had marked him so bad. His back look like he had been attacked by a tiger...his tiger.
Looking at her now, he shifted closer towards her and let his fingers slide up and down her back, with light feather touches. He heard her whimper and a smile formed on his face, as he started planting sweet soft kisses along her back, up until he was with his face next to her, nuzzling her neck.
'Good morning beautiful' he whispered.
She smiled as she started to shift around under his weight, her arms immediately going around his neck, pulling him down for a searing kiss, as their tongues met and started exploring one another. She moaned into his mouth as she felt his hand slide down her side, brushing against the side of her breast.
'Good morning' she told him smiling at him, her green eyes bright and shining. Her hair was tousled and her skin seemed to be softer this morning 'This feels like a dream' she told him against his lips.
'You have no idea how many times I've dreamt about this. Waking up next to you...naked' he finished smiling at her.
'Well it seems like your dream is coming true' she replied smiling at him 'Mm...I wonder how that dream continues' she told him pretending to be thinking.
Eric smiled at her and captured her lips briefly, kissing her passionately before he let go of her lips and started moving to her neck 'It usually...continues here' he started telling her 'And then...here' he said as he took one of her breasts in his hand and sucked on the other one momentarily and then he started going down, pampering kisses across her flat tummy, her belly button, and then he continued lower, without missing a spot, without missing a beat and just like that he licked her pussy and Calleigh hissed immediately arching her back and grabbing her pillow 'And then it continues here' he told her speaking just above her core, letting his breath wash over that sensitive area. He licked her again and again as he settled between her legs, grabbed her legs and locked his mouth with her core immediately sucking and lapping and flicking her clit and Calleigh was biting her lip, enjoying the assault he was inflicting on her core.
'Mmm...I like how...the dream...continues' she told him between breaths. She had just finished talking when two fingers slid inside her heat and damn she was hot and wet.
'God you're wet already Cal' he told her.
'And you're so hard and big already' she told him as she took him in her hand as he shifted.
'Well you got me like that' he told her as he slid another finger inside of her and started pumping them inside of her. He watched her bite her bottom lip, her eyes closed, as her hand moved up and down his length. He picked up his pace and so did she, and at one point he had to push her hand away and stop touching her or he was going to cum. She smiled devilishly and pushed at him, startling him and pushing him on his back. They laughed as she fell on him and he wrapped his arms around her. She leaned down and captured his lips again, kissing him hard this time, sucking hard on his bottom lip before she started going down.
'It's my turn now' she told him wickedly and Eric watched her take him into her hand, stroke him a few times and then she took him in her mouth and he cursed as he let his head drop back enjoying the feeling of being in her mouth. He could feel her tongue twirl around his shaft, sucking his tip as her hand was moving up and down again.
'Cal' he whispered signaling her that she needed to stop but instead she looked at him, catching him watching her and licked him 'Fuck Cal' he cursed and Calleigh smiled intending on continuing with this torture, enjoying what she was doing to him but Eric couldn't take it anymore 'I need to be inside of you now' he told her so she crawled onto him, positioned herself and went down on him. He watched her, his dark eyes fixated on her face as he watched her take him inside of him as she sat on him. He watched her head drop back and his hands cupped her breasts. She hissed and started moving up and down on him. The sight of her was mesmerizing...Calleigh was straddling him, he was inside of her, her walls were squeezing him, her breasts were on full display bouncing in front of him, her head was falling back, her blonde hair falling back as she bit on her bottom lip. He needed to kiss her. He needed to hold her and touch her, so he sat up and they shifted in a sitting position, his hand now in her gorgeous hair, the other hand on her back as he kissed her hungrily. Her breasts were flat against his chest and as he shifted, he hit a particular spot and Calleigh cried louder breaking the kiss.
He could feel himself starting to get close and from that cry, he could tell Calleigh was close as well, so he pushed her on her back, never leaving her body, tangled their fingers together raising their hands above her head and started pounding into her as she wrapped her legs around his waist. He kissed her quickly, his tongue tracing the outline of her gorgeous lips before moving to her neck again. He could hear her moans getting closer so he started moving faster, and then she reached up for him, wrapped her arms around his neck and moaned loud in his ear 'Aaaahhh...Eric' she said as her nails scratched his back and Eric lost it. He trusted hard a couple of times and shot his load and as he continued pounding into her as he fell into his own world of ecstasy, she came hard around him, his own release bringing her own.
They stayed like that for a long moment, holding onto each other, before Eric pulled out of her and fell breathless next to her, his chest moving up and down as he tried to catch his breath. She turned her head to look at him and smiled 'I left you breathless eh?' she teased.
He turned his head to look at her and laughed 'Always' he replied and Calleigh leaned in and kissed his lips.
'I hope this was better than any dream you ever had' she told him sweetly.
'You have no idea' he replied before kissing her lips again 'If only we can stay in bed all day' he muttered.
'Mm...I wish' she replied surprising herself. She never really did that. She never really wished to stay in bed instead of going to work. It was not who she was but then again, she didn't need to wish that when she didn't have anyone to stay in bed with, but with Eric next to her, making love to her the way he does, Calleigh honestly didn't want to get out of bed. Worst than that was, that she knew that as soon as she was heading into work, she was bound to see Jake, and she really didn't feel like seeing him today, because she was feeling so good, she didn't want her mood to be ruined.
They only had a few minutes to enjoy the afterglow as they held each other, and Eric showered her with slow soft kisses and when it was time for Eric to leave, she had simply put on one of her silky robes and walked him to the door. Leaning against the door frame, she smiled at him as he looked back at her 'Thank you for such a wonder day yesterday and an amazing wake up call' she told him smiling at him as she leaned against the door.
Eric chuckled at that 'You are so welcome' he told her before he leaned in and kissed her lips. She wrapped her arms around his neck and let herself melt in his arms again, knowing that she had no idea when she would be kissing him like this again.
'I will see you soon' she told him as she ended the kiss.
'See you soon Cal' he told her his hand cupping one cheek 'And for the record...you were amazing' he told her just before he leaned in and kissed her forehead, and with that he turned and went on his way.
OooOOOooo
Calleigh had been on her way to work when she had gotten the call informing her about Shelly Seaver's murder. She had her kit with her so she informed them that she would just head that way. Little did she know that Jake was already there and was the detective on this case. It had been like someone had just poured a bucket of cold water when she walked into the house and their eyes met. He was definitely the last person she wanted to see first thing this morning, right after she had just spent an amazing day and night with Eric. She smiled at him, not wanting him to read too much into her eyes but the truth was, that this was uncomfortable. She was so confused. Every time she was in Jake's company, she was feeling like she shouldn't be there but at the same time, it was nice seeing him, at least when he wasn't being a jerk. His smile was something she always liked, and this morning was no different. There was just something in the way that he was smiling at her, something about the way that was looking at her, that made her want to pause this moment. It was moments like these that reminded her what she liked about him, that made it impossible to choose between him and Eric.
'What do we have?' she asked him.
'Shelly Seaver. Looks like she was stabbed to death. There's a possibility that she was raped as well' Jake told her indicating the fact that her hands were tied and there was fluid between her legs 'Looks like we will be working this case together' he told her with that grin of his and she smiled.
'Looks like it' she replied before she turned towards the victim and started taking photos of the crime scene. Unfortunately, this also meant that she would be working this case with both him and Eric, and knowing Eric and Jake, sparks were bound to fly. They both didn't hold back from getting into each other's face or hide how they felt about each other, and after last night, Calleigh knew for a fact that things had gotten even more complicated. Maybe it was her own fault, but how was anyone supposed to take such a quick decision about who they wanted to be with? It wasn't that simple. It wasn't like she could choose one and then if it doesn't work out, she could simply turn to the other one, and she was scared of hurting either of them, especially Eric. He was her best friend. Choosing Jake, wouldn't just be unfair on Eric to then turn to him and try for a second chance, but she would also be ruining their friendship. She would be throwing away him, and Calleigh just couldn't do that. She just couldn't loose Eric, not after she almost lost him for good. Every time it crosses her mind that she could have lost him for good, it just makes her realize even more how important he is to her, how much she wants him and needs him in her life, and after last night and this morning, after the way he had made love to her, she simply couldn't have that. No one had ever made love to her the way he did, no one ever made her feel the way he did...not even Jake.
Just like she had suspected, Eric was not happy to be working this case with Jake involved, but at least they had minimal contact for once and they weren't in each other's faces all the time and she had to play referee. Seeing Eric again at work after, had been different. Their eyes had connected and she couldn't help but smile at him, recalling so many things from last night and this morning, and by the way he was looking at her, she knew he was remembering the same details.
'Hey' Calleigh greeted him, staring straight into his brown eyes, her eyes sparkling and a smile plastered on her face.
'Hey' Eric replied approaching her, that grin on full display.
He had been about to say something when Calleigh received a phone call from Horation letting her know that Jake had been in a car accident and Wade had escaped. Eric watched as her emotions played out on her face, immediately alerting him that something had happened.
'Eric and I are on the way' she told him just before she hung up.
'What happened?' he asked her as they started heading out of MDPD towards the hummer.
She looked at him and took a deep breath, not sure how he was going to take this, even if she had an idea 'Jake has been in a car accident and Wade escaped' she simply replied Horatio's words.
'What do you mean Wade escaped?' he asked and Calleigh looked at him again, ready to ask him if he had heard the first part of the sentence but let it slip. She figured that he would skip that part.
'I don't know. He didn't give me anymore information, but we need to go' she told him, all professional.
'And Jake?' he asked her after a moment and Calleigh looked at him again, her features softening up a bit, acknowledging the fact that even if this was about his competitor where she is concerned, he still asked about him. She knows Eric well enough to know that he wouldn't wish anything bad happening to him.
'I don't know. He didn't say' Calleigh replied.
When they arrived on the scene, there was chaos. There were police cars, hummers, an ambulance ready to take Jake to the hospital, who was being wheeled on a stretcher and Calleigh caught sight of him. Her eyes met his as he reached out his hand and Calleigh never felt more conflicted than at that moment. She was next to Eric but Jake was reaching out to her, and he looked like he was pretty banged up. Hesitating for just a moment, she walked over to Jake and took his hand in hers.
'Hey what happened?' she asked him.
'I...I don't know...he was prepared' Jake told her 'It happened so fact' he continued as he squeezed his eyes obviously in pain.
'It's alright, don't talk' she told him, squeezing his hand just a bit, letting him know she is there for him, and then he was taken away into the ambulance. She watched him momentarily as they lifted him in the ambulance and then turned to go and work the case. Eric was no longer where she left him. Of course he wasn't. She caught sight of him talking with Horatio. Taking a deep breath, she walked over to them. He looked pissed off obviously, she wasn't expecting anything less really. She definitely wasn't expecting him to understand her position.
Horatio looked at her but Eric didn't and that somehow cut deep, even if she was expecting it 'Any leads?' she asked him.
'We suspect that he had an accomplice. Jake said that Wade had been prepared, that he had held onto the seatbelt before the impact, that's why he managed to escape' he explained.
'We'll walk the perimeter maybe he ditched the handcuffs' Eric told him and with that he turned and walked away. Horatio looked at Eric and then at her and she smiled briefly before turning away and hurried after Eric. He was walking with the metal detector hoping they would find something, but so far nothing so he walked further ahead while Calleigh followed. He knew she was behind him but didn't turn around to look at her, instead he kept checking the ground. They had been walking the perimeter for quite a while and at some point Calleigh had excused herself and Eric didn't ask any questions. She had been vague so Eric assumed it had something to do with Jake. He didn't ask...he just hoped it was nothing serious for Jake but the less he knew about the two of them the better.
'I spoke to the ER, Jake's gonna be alright' Calleigh said as they walked the perimeter while Eric used the metal detector hoping to find some form of evidence. They were hoping someone would have dropped the handcuffs but so far there was nothing.
'Well I'm sure he would love for you to go visit him in hospital' Eric told her, not looking at her. This thing that he wasn't even looking at her, was cutting in deeper than she thought after the way he had looked at her just this morning.
'Yeah well you know what...I came to see you at the hospital too' she told him as she stopped walking and that got him to look at her.
'Yeah. That was different' Eric replied almost pissed off that she would match his injuries with Jake's.
'It is different, because you and I work together' Calleigh replied.
'You work with Jake too' Eric replied.
'He's in homicide. You and I are in the lab day and night. You know I trust you with my life. I don't even know how I feel about Jake yet' she told him and that seemed to calm him down or at least satisfy him.
'Alright maybe we should get back to work' he told her, a hint of a smile on his face at that small victory and she smiled at him. She hated arguing with him and after this morning it was even harder.
'Okay I got something' she heard him say. She watched him go down and as he disturbed the ground, she could see the handcuffs 'Somebody cut the handcuffs off and then buried them. Confirms he's got an accomplice' he told her as he picked them up.
'Lucky for us no one stepped on them. Whoever kicked the dirt around it left a nice footprint. It's a biker boot' she said.
'Yeah and I know exactly which biker' Eric replied.
OooOOOooo
'Will you tell me what you're looking for?' Calleigh asked him. They had been called at Lucas Wade sister's house after she had been found guilty of Jennifer Royce's murder. Horatio had found her lying on the floor after Lucas had attacked her.
'Lindsey couldn't tell us where her brother went, so, something has to' Eric replied.
'I have a hard time feeling sorry for her since she killed Jennifer Royce, and I think she's probably covering for him' Calleigh admitted.
'He has her little girl, Calleigh' Eric pointed out. He was pissed off and Eric couldn't seem to hide it. He had heard her earlier calling the hospital to check on Jake. It wasn't that he was expecting her not to care but Eric was hurt. This was certainly not how he thought this day would develop.
'Yeah but still. She's a murderer' Calleigh replied matter of fact before she took a picture.
'Family psychologies make you do things you never thought you were capable of' Eric told her, remembering when he had to buy marijuana for his now deceased sister, to help her with the pain she was in. Never in his life had he thought he would do something like that, much less do it when he is a cop.
'Yeah you're right' she said 'Do you mind finishing up here?' I'm gonna go check on something' she asked him but even though she didn't tell him exactly what it was, the look in his eyes told her he knew. It killed her to see that look, knowing she was causing it, but Jake was in hospital and he could have been killed and Calleigh was a bit shaken up about it. Everything was just spiraling out of control and happening so fast, it was like she couldn't catch a break.
'Yeah I'll collect the girl's things' Eric told her as he watched her leave the crime scene.
OooOOOooo
'Wolfe pulled over Lucas Wade on this block' Eric told her 'When it's in the range, it will beep, but on his end too' Eric informed her as she drove. Somehow Eric and Calleigh had ended up chasing Wade together. The drive had been silent apart from when they had to discuss something related to the case. It was obvious that they both had things to say but now was not exactly the time to discuss their personal matters.
'Yeah. So that means we need to be good to go' she told him.
'Wait a minute' Eric said as the monitor beeped indicating they were close.
'Eric this is it' she told him, knowing that they had to stop Wade from escaping with the little girl. They hurried out of the hummer and found Wade packing the boat as quickly as he could but they caught up to him.
'Wade...it's over' Eric called out both him and Calleigh and the rest of the officers pointing their guns.
'I wasn't going to hurt her. I just needed to get her away from my sister' Wade replied.
'Prove it...get on the ground' Calleigh told him. They watched as Wade got down on his knees, his hands raised and Eric hurried to handcuff him, and as the officers took him, Eric went for the little girl while Calleigh watched him.
'Come here Holly...you're safe...one, two, three' he told her and then he picked the little girl in his arms, lifting her in the air making her laugh as he smiled at her and Calleigh couldn't help smiling at the scene in front of her. She watched him walk towards her with the little girl in hand and their eyes met. So much was being said with their eyes and yet no words were being spoken, and the ride back to MDPD was even worse. She could hardly look at him. It was like seeing the family she could have with him in front of her own eyes. She always knew he wanted kids, and always had the idea in her head that he would be an amazing father, because Eric is a family man. Instinctively, she sighed and Eric glanced her way but didn't say anything. This...this is exactly why she had always been afraid of getting involved with him romantically, because she was always afraid of losing her best friend, and she knows that if she had to choose Jake, their friendship would automatically change, and she hated that thought.
When they arrived at MDPD, Horatio was waiting for them in the lobby with another lady, who both assumed was someone from child services.
'Poor girl' Calleigh said 'She has to grow up without her family...how could her mother not think about what she was putting her daughter through?' she said and as the words rolled out of her mouth, she stopped, her own words hitting her. She felt Eric's eyes on her, sure he caught what she just did with those words 'Don't reply to that question' she said with a raised hand and he didn't say anything. Her phone signaled a new message and his eyes caught sight of the name and without a word he walked away and didn't say anything, leaving her alone in the middle of the lobby. She sighed heavily as she watched him leave, turned around and headed down to firearms. She needed to fire a gun.
OooOOOooo
The elevator doors opened just as Calleigh was approaching and Jake appeared arranging his tie, slightly banged up. He had texted her that he was on his way so she had gone up to wait for him. She had managed to go and see him once while he was in hospital but then she got caught up again, and he wasn't critical so she had told him she would see him when he gets discharged, so Jake had let her know.
'Hey how are you feeling?' she asked him as she approached him with a smile on her face. She was just relieved that he was out of the hospital and that he didn't end up getting seriously hurt. The thought that he could have died, gave her an uneasy feeling.
'I'll survive' he admitted with a smile 'My jaw hurts for some reason' he told her.
'Where?' she asked checking his face, because she was not seeing any bruises where he was pointing at, and just as she is looking, Jake grabbed her face and crushed his lips hard against hers in the middle of the lobby. She was so startled that she didn't react and the first thought was...Eric! She had seen him in one of the rooms going through some photos from another case and she just hoped that he didn't see Jake kissing her.
Jake pulled away then, that devilish grin on his face as he looked at her 'You feel like taking me home? I can't drive today. The doctor said it is better to avoid it' he told her.
'Sure' she replied so she walked after him in the elevator, but as she rested her back against the wall and turned her head, her eyes met Eric's, and the pain that she saw in them was too much to handle right now. She couldn't keep eye contact with him so she turned to look away and the doors closed.
Now as she stood in the living room, looking outside of the window, she couldn't help but start thinking. He had asked her if it would be okay if he went to take a shower so he would get out of his clothes and Calleigh had promised him that she would wait. Her head was starting to hurt. So much had happened in the last twenty-four hours that it was just too much too process, even for her. She could handle processing crime scenes for long hours, but this heart matter was shaking her to the core and giving her a headache, in fact she pulled out two asprins and drank them down with the bottle of water she had in her hands. It was probably the first quiet moment she had where she could really think about what was going on, but the thing was that this accident, made her realize that she did still have deep feelings for Jake, because even if she had not panicked when Horatio told her that Jake was in an accident, the thought...the realization that he could have met the same faith as the other police officer shook her to the core. She wasn't sure she could face that.
'Hey' she heard as Jake's voice came from behind her.
'Hey' she replied but her reaction didn't go unnoticed. It was almost like she had seen a ghost.
'Are you okay?' he asked her concerned.
'I should be asking you that' she replied smiling at him now.
'Well I asked first' he replied 'So...are you okay?' he asked her again.
'Yeah...it's just been a long day' she admitted.
'Tell me about it' he muttered as he walked back towards the kitchen and opened the fridge to pull out something to drink. She watched him grab a bottle of beer and shook her head.
'I'm not sure you should be drinking that' she told him as she walked over towards him.
'I'm not taking any medication Cal, I'm much better and besides, the night is coming I can rest' he told her.
'Yeah maybe I should leave. You do need to rest' she told him but as she turned to start walking away, he reached out and grabbed her arm and Calleigh stopped and turned to look at him.
'What's wrong?' he asked her, taking a step closer to her.
She looked in his eyes for a moment 'You just scared me Jake...that's all' she told him.
'Does that mean you still care about what happens to me?' he asked.
'You know I do' she replied.
'Well you have been pissed off with me more often that not lately' he started telling her as he reached out a hand to push her hair behind her ear, and Calleigh knew he was just warming up to kissing her again. The thing was that she did want to kiss him again. At MDPD, she didn't react because they were at work and knew that Eric could possibly be witnessing the whole thing, but here, they were alone and she could react.
'Well you have been giving me reasons to be pissed off at you' she replied 'But today, you scared me' she admitted and then she watched him lean in and Calleigh couldn't help but meet him half way and as their lips met, she felt his hand cup the back of her head and Calleigh deepened the kiss. Jake pulled her closer to him as he met her needs but when he left her mouth and started making his way down her neck, she took a step back stopping him 'I can't Jake' she told him.
'Why not?' he asked her.
'Because I need to figure things out plus you are hurt' she reminded him.
'I'm fine' he told her as he tried again.
'No Jake seriously...I can't' she repeated. She was not going to sleep with two men in one day. It is not who she is. It never happened in all her life and it was not going to start now. It was bad enough that she was torn emotionally between the two of them, sleeping with both of them on the same day would just be wrong, and Eric does not deserve that either. In fact, she needed to leave and go find him. She needed to talk to him 'I have to go actually' she told him as she turned to leave, needing to put some distance between them.
'Oh come on Cal...you just kissed me' he told her.
'And that was not a green light to fall in bed with you' she told him 'I kissed you because you scared me' she told him 'And don't kiss me at work' she told him, and that seemed to push a button.
'Why? Because your boyfriend would see us?' he asked her and Calleigh turned sharply to look at him, her eyes narrowed at him.
'Eric is not my...' and she stopped 'You didn't have to kiss me in front of him. You knew he was there. You did that on purpose' she accused him.
'Yes I did' he admitted 'I want him to know that I am not backing down because I want you Calleigh' Jake admitted and Calleigh sighed.
'Well don't do that again in front of him and don't kiss me again at work. It is not the place. You know I don't like to bring my personal matters at work' she told him.
'Well I didn't hear you complain' he told her as he watched her grab her stuff and get ready to leave.
'Well I'm complaining now Jake. Don't do it again at work. Now I have to go, you look like you are more than fine' she commented 'Take care of yourself' she told him and with that she opened the door and walked out, leaving a frustrated Jake alone.
She hurried to the car and closed the door, placed her belongings on the passenger's seat and ran a hand through her hair sighing heavily. This was such a mess she was in, and the worst thing was that she had no idea how to get out of it. The only thing she knew right now though, was that she needed to go and find Eric. She hated leaving things like this and Eric does not deserve this from her. She was the one who wanted him to make love to her, and God knows how much she wanted that, how much she still wanted that. If Jake wasn't in the picture, she would make love to him right now, because every place in her body ached for him and she knew...she knew she really needed time alone to think about everything, and tonight she could just go home and think, but she couldn't leave Eric hanging like that, so with that she started the engine and drove all the way to Eric's house.
OooOOOooo
Eric was in the shower trying to wash this day and the image of Calleigh kissing Jake out of his head and replace it with one of him kissing her instead or else get her out of his head all together but how was he supposed to do that when he still remember how good she smelled, how soft her skin was, how wonderful it was to finally be with her, to have her arms around him? He could still hear her moan in his ear, see the pain of pleasure on her face. Resting his hands against the cold shower tiles, he let the water splash on his body, but every time he closed his eyes, he saw her face...he saw her straddling him, saw him plunging into her, felt her nails scratch his back. Pulling away from the tiles, he finished the shower and stepped out of the cubicle. He couldn't help but check his back as water droplets traced the marks she left on him. There were red marks all over his back, a reminder of what happened last night and early this morning and yet, it felt like it was weeks away and not just hours away. The doorbell ringing startled him, not sure who would be here at this hour, he grabbed a large towel and wrapped it around his waist as he hurried towards the door.
Pulling it open, he froze as he stared in the green orbs that had haunted his dreams day and night. She stared at him, her eyes moved up and down his wet almost naked body. He watched her swallow hard before she met his eyes.
'Can I come in?' she asked him, and without saying a word, he stepped out of the way so she could come inside and closed the door behind her. He shut his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose and took a deep breath. This was the last thing that he needed right now.
They stared at each other for what felt like forever, her heart pounding hard in her chest as her eyes traced the water droplets that were still falling down his chest. She could feel her chest rise and fall, her mouth going dry and her hands were itching. She wished she could just close the distance between them and kiss him, touch him and remove that towel and let him fill her again...but this is not why she was here.
'Can we talk?' she asked him.
He shrugged 'Give me a minute' he told her as he turned and left the room. He had watched all the emotions dance on her face, her eyes moving with the water still falling down his chest, ger eyes settling on the towel he had wrapped around him, and as much as he wanted to use that to his advantage, they needed to talk without distractions, so he dried himself up properly, put on a pair of boxers, shorts and one of his white vests and made his way out. She was sitting on the couch, her face buried in her hands 'Cal' he whispered, announcing his return and she literally jumped at the sound of his voice and got up from the couch.
'Sorry...I didn't hear you coming' she told him. She looked visibly tired and upset, but so did Eric for that matter 'I emm...I just wanted to apologize for earlier' she started telling him.
'For what? For kissing Jake in front of me?' he asked her bitterly.
'Eric he startled me' she told him.
'Maybe...but you didn't exactly stop him' Eric muttered.
'No...I guess I didn't' she admitted looking away from him 'I guess I was just relieved that he was okay' she told him.
'Whatever' he replied before turning to walk away from her.
'Eric please' she pleaded reaching out a hand.
'What do you want me to say Cal? I understand?' he asked her as he turned to look at her again frustrated 'I know that things could have ended much worse for him, but it doesn't take the pain away of seeing you and him kissing, especially when all I can see in my head is you and I making love' he told her and by now he was really pissed off, and the pain was loud and clear in his voice as he spoke, not to mention how broken his eyes looked.
'I shouldn't have told you to make love to me' she said almost in a whisper as she let her head drop but he heard her, and it was like she had slapped him so hard, it knocked the wind out of him.
'Are you regretting making love to me?' he asked her 'Because I didn't think you were regretting it when you were screaming my name' he shot at her, his eyes so broken, she could barely look at him.
'That is not what I meant' she told him, trying to keep it together. His words were harsh but maybe she deserved them because she was the one that couldn't decide, and now they had made love and Eric was hurt 'I don't regret making love to you Eric' she told him as she took a step closer to him, trying to hold eye contact. She needed him to understand that. She would never regret making love to him. Never 'I'm just saying that if we didn't make love to him, maybe you wouldn't be this hurt right now' she tried to explain 'But I don't regret making love to you Eric. No one has ever made love to me the way you did' she admitted.
'And yet you're still undecided' he muttered.
'I know...this is not how I was planning today to turn out' she told him.
'Definitely not' he replied and Calleigh looked down not wanting to see the look in his eyes right now 'And you know what the worst thing is? Is that I look at you and all I want to do is kiss you and make love to you again' he told her.
'Me too' she admitted heartbroken 'I can't stand this Eric...I can't stand seeing you like this' she told him, fighting back the tears that were burning the back of her eyes.
She watched him walk over to her, stopping right in front of her...close to her...very close to her. She felt his hand cup her face with both hands and Calleigh closed her eyes at the contact and then he was resting his forehead against hers 'I can't stand seeing you like this Cal...I can't stand the pain in your eyes' he told her and then she felt him brush his lips against hers and she grabbed his vest and leaned into him, placing her lips hard against his. She heard him take in a deep breath as he pressed his lips hard against hers and then her lips were parting and his tongue dove right in capturing hers and before she knew what the hell was happening, she was removing his vest over his head and he was undoing the buttons of her shirt and in a matter of minutes she was pressed against the wall, his lips assaulting her mouth as his hands worked to remove the clasp of her bra. She could feel his bulge pressing into her against her core, and Calleigh moaned as his lips moved to her neck and found that spot that always turned her into jelly. Her hands were wrapping around his head and his back and she was begging Eric to touch her, her heart rattling the cage inside of her.
She felt his hand grab her globe momentarily and then moved down her side, grabbing her leg, before it moved between them and slid into her knickers, his fingers immediately vanishing inside of her.
'Aaaahhh...Eric' she cried throwing her head back, one arm wrapped around his neck as he assaulted her neck for a brief moment before capturing her mouth again in a hot passionate kiss. She deepened the kiss as she sucked on his bottom lip and Eric growled against her mouth, his fingers still pumping into her and her nails were starting to break his skin again. He could feel his back burning, knowing for sure she was reopening scratches from this morning, the sweat that was now trailing his body, not helping one bit.
He let go of her mouth then and went on his knees, and before she could say anything, her knickers were down and his tongue was lapping her clit like crazy, like he was a thirsty dog and needed to urgently drink water, like his next breath depended on it. She felt his finger slide inside of her while his tongue flicked her bead, her stomach coiled and then the dam broke and she came hard in his mouth and damn this was so erotic...what the fuck was he doing to her?
He got up from the floor then and removed the remainder of his clothes so he was naked as much as she was, hoisted her up and as she wrapped her arms around his neck and legs around his waist, he slid inside of her and Calleigh cried as he started immediately pumping himself home, without giving her a moment. He was big and hard and ready to explode and there was nothing romantic about all of this, but just pure need and want, just pure lust and desire.
'Oh God' she cried as she felt him fill her with every thrust, her head falling back as he lavished her neck with hot kisses one moment and the next she was kissing his mouth and with every different angle he penetrated her, she cried and panted and Eric growled and when his name fell out of her mouth in a prayer, she felt her body shaking in his arms and she came loud and hard again and Eric let go as he shot his load and filled her.
He let his head drop against her shoulder and Calleigh leaned into him, hugging him back. He felt his legs about to give away from the force of his release but when he attempted to pull away, she stopped him.
'Don't...not just yet' she told him, so he pushed from the wall and tried to make his way towards the couch without pulling out of her, which was quite tricky but somehow he managed as he laid on his back and Calleigh laid on top of him, her legs spread against his sides, her head now on his chest. She could hear his heart beating, feel his chest rise and fall while his fingers danced on her back as they swayed up and down. They had no idea for how long they had remained like that but Calleigh was starting to dose off while he was still buried deep inside of her, not quite fully awake, but she could still feel him.
'I'm sorry' he apologized 'Probably that shouldn't have happened' he said.
'I just wanna stay like this' she whispered without lifting her head, her fingers moving slightly against his chest.
'Well if it was up to me we would be like this every night' he replied and at that her fingers stopped moving 'Sorry' Eric apologized.
'I just...I just want to enjoy being here with you right now and not think about anything else' she confessed 'I'm sorry for hurting you Eric' Calleigh told him.
'Ssshhh...not now Cal' he told her. He didn't want her to go there when they were like this. He just wanted to enjoy having her naked in his arms like this 'You wanna go to bed?' he asked her but she shook her head 'You're going to be soar if we stay like this, plus the bed is more comfortable' he told her but she didn't reply 'What is it?' he asked her, feeling like she was hesitating.
'It's your bed Eric' she told him as she pushed herself up a bit so she could look at him 'Are you sure you want me in your bed when I haven't made up my mind yet?' she asked him before looking away.
'Calleigh look at me' he told her as he lifted her chin up with his finger 'I will always want you in my bed...in my life...because having you for five minutes in my bed is better than never having you in it' he told her.
'But...' she started and he stopped her.
'I know you haven't decided...I know you're torn and yes it hurts sometimes and yes I will get pissed off sometimes because I want you so bad...but I just want to cherish this moment while it lasts' he told her.
At those words, she felt like he was already expecting her to disappoint him 'You deserve so much better than me' she told him 'I don't deserve you Eric' she told him and she started getting up, confusing him, as he watched her walking towards the pile of clothes. He watched her put her clothes on, somehow unable to move from the couch, too stunned about the sudden turn of events, but when he watched her grab her stuff and get ready to go, he hurried to her, grabbed her arms and turned her around.
'Don't ever say that Cal' he told her urgently 'You're all I will ever want' Eric told her his eyes pleading with her.
'You're expecting me to hurt you Eric and the worst part is...that I am probably going to' she told him, and with that she walked past him and ran out of the door, leaving him naked in the middle of the living room not sure what hit him.
