Chapter 1600
Burn In Hell
A drone at high altitude picked up a figure who exited the building from the rear.
"It's a nude female." John Henry said.
Bob handed Derek some clothes he picked up from the last hovel.
"You two go help the female." Bob said. "We'll sweep the building one more time."
Derek and Kyle went out the rear entrance.
"I don't think she'll be a problem." Kyle said.
Derek wasn't so sure.
"If she's unarmed she won't be." Derek said. "We don't know if she's part of this mess or not. There were females who ran with the Scavengers."
Kyle knew Derek referred to Jesse. She joined up with more than one Scavenger group. As part of the group she was abused less. She was able to abuse others. It was the time period when she mutilated both males and females. She wanted them to live less than a man or a woman as a reminder of her cruelty. It was during the time period she wanted revenge for being born. Sheila picked up on the 'dark side' through the 'Neural Interface'. She mutilated and maimed both males and females as well. The main difference was, Sheila always terminated them after she was done. She wanted them to face some 'punishment' for their crimes before their termination.
There was the sound of a metal can, or something like it. It hit the ground between the sheds. It was where they knew the female was at.
Kyle looked at Derek. He wanted to give the female some reassurance as to who they were without making anything worse. If she was a victim, she might want to fight rather than being recaptured. If she was part of the group, she might want to fight because it was in her nature to do so.
They were advised by the Command Center to put some 'spin' on it.
"We're with building security." Kyle said. "Come out and you won't be harmed. We're here to help."
There was no reply.
They moved closer.
"I see your foot." Derek said. "Show us your hands now. We don't want you to get hurt. We have clothes for you."
First one hand came up, and then the other.
"Don't hurt me." The female said.
The female stood up. She was dirty and there was dried blood on her nude figure.
Kyle wanted to make sure she hadn't armed herself with a rock or some other foreign object. He was aware how desperate people could be once they were cornered.
"Step out from behind the barrel." Kyle said. "Keep your hands where we can see them."
The female was very skinny. Her age was indeterminate.
Derek could see her walk was very unsteady. It was possible it could be from several different things. It could be anything from narcotics, to a beating, or repeated abuse. It was most likely all three. Drug users could be very unstable.
"Are you on drugs?" Derek asked.
The female looked scared. She saw they were both armed. She heard the shooting inside. She wanted them to know the drugs weren't of her own doing. They were forced on her by her captors.
"Yes." The female said. "They injected me with something and made me take pills. I never used drugs before they caught me. I didn't know what was happening to me most of the time. Unfortunately there were times when I did. They wouldn't let me go."
Derek slung his M4 and approached her with the clothes in his hands.
"We're here to help you." Derek said. "Cover yourself. We want you to have some decency."
The female was a little apprehensive. She couldn't help but think he said 'decency' instead of 'dignity'. After what she went through, she doubted she would ever have any type of dignity or self esteem again. She carefully took the clothes and put on the shirt and then the pants.
"Thank you." The female said.
She was pretty sure they weren't going to abuse her. She didn't know what happened inside, but she thought a few people died.
"Who are you?" The female asked.
Derek and Kyle looked at each other.
"We're the good guys." Derek said.
They led her around the side of the building after she started to tell her story. She said she didn't have any belongings. She was naked for two weeks straight so far. She only remembered her clothes were ripped off when they pulled her into a van. She was homeless and they offered her food. When she went to take the food was when they grabbed her. She knew better than to approach a van. She heard stories about what happened to other females, and even some young males, when they did. She couldn't help it. She was hungry. She hadn't eaten anything for three days. As soon as she was pulled into the van and the side door closed, she knew it was going to happen. It did, over and over and over. She was abused in the van before she arrived at the location. She didn't know where she was, or even what city it was.
Bob and Jim each went back the way they came for a second sweep inside the building. They hoped to find a live one still. It didn't look promising. They were too efficient and did what they were constructed for. They terminated every threat.
Everyone inside the building was dead. They quickly moved the bodies to the center of the structure. There was a van and a car parked inside. They ruptured the fuel tanks. The volatile liquid ran amongst the dead.
The Grays and Fanatics joined the dead inside. The shot up sedan and van were pushed inside. Their fuel tanks were punctured as well. There was soon over fifty gallons of gasoline running through the building.
Bob and Jim headed for their SUV. Derek and Kyle were already there with the girl.
Jim turned and fired half a dozen rounds from his silenced M9 into the open door of the building. Several of them hit metal and sparked. It was what he wanted. There was a 'whoosh' sound as the gasoline vapor ignited.
The girl looked back at the raging inferno.
"Burn in Hell…." The girl said. "I want all of you to burn in Hell."
John Henry made sure there would be no emergency response.
After they heard the females comment, the Resistance team hoped not all of the people they left inside were dead yet. It appeared they all should burn in Hell.
Sarah wasn't thrilled to see Kyle in pursuit of a nude female, but she knew he was there to help.
Summer knew the female could be a victim or a participant. She instructed Kyle and Derek to make a statement about being private security.
John Henry didn't think a nude female posed much of a danger to two armed Resistance fighters.
They watched as Derek and Kyle apprehended the female. She appeared to be a victim.
They were able to get some facial images and run those through the system.
John Henry found some answers.
"I have her ID." John Henry said.
He was able to come up with a brief history of the female.
Kyle and Derek questioned her about what happened. Her story left everyone very uneasy.
They all heard her story. It was a sad one. She was a runaway. She been abused in her own bed by her mother's boyfriend before she ran away. Her mother never stopped him. Her mother was a drug user and she didn't really do much of anything. Her mother was the one who allowed the boyfriend to 'take' her. She 'traded' her own daughter for drugs. Her mother needed a fix. He said he wanted 'more' in return. She allowed him the 'use' of her daughter. Her mother never heard the screams and cries as she slipped into a drug induced stupor. There were plenty of drugs made available to the mother. The boyfriend visited her every night while her mother was strung out. Sometimes he brought his friends. She knew the men were with her before and after they were with her strung out mother. They all wanted the 'mother daughter thing', even if it wasn't. They compared them and joke about it.
It was only after her mother told her she was nothing but a 'fix' to her, when she ran away. Up until then, she did what her mother told her she 'needed' to do. She went to a bus station and ended up in the inner city. She was jumped by a street gang the first night, and thrown in a dumpster when they were done. They all laughed as they did. They told her it was where a trashy slut belonged anyway. She stayed hidden inside of it until the trash truck came. She barely got out of the dumpster as a trash truck picked it up during the night. If it would have picked up her dumpster first, she would have ended up in the back of the trash truck.
A homeless lady found her and took her to a homeless camp. It consisted mostly of cardboard and old tires. She needed food and found there was only one way to 'pay' for it. She didn't have any money and only wore a long ripped shirt she found in the dumpster. She saw the homeless lady was given food too for bringing her to the 'camp boss'. The homeless lady looked at her.
"It's about survival." She said. "At least you have food to eat. God gave you a 'money maker', so use it. It's your only asset. It will open a lot of doors. Life is lived from day to day from now on. Use your natural assets to survive. It's how it works in the jungle. You always have something to trade for food or shelter."
She never saw the homeless lady again.
The girl lived in the homeless camp. She was able to barter herself for anything she needed. She obtained clothes and always had something to eat. She was never going back home again.
Two weeks ago she was on her way to the soup kitchen when the van pulled up. They offered her food. When she approached it, they pulled her inside.
Sarah listened to the story. She looked at the information John Henry collected on her. She looked at the girl's ID. She felt a 'sick feeling' instantly.
"My God, she's the same age as Jan!" Sarah said. "Well, a year older now I guess."
John Henry told Sarah how Cameron, Savannah, and Young Allison all helped females in similar thought it was unnecessary, but it mattered to Cameron and the girls.
Sarah was impressed, but not surprised. She wanted to do more for the female who was nearly the same age as her own daughter.
"Can we help her too?" Sarah asked.
Summer wasn't so sure. She ran some calculations. It didn't look promising for anything.
"She needs to want to help herself first." Summer said. "Derek and Kyle should avoid physical contact with her. She is most likely disease ridden after the run she's been on. She's been with thirty to fifty different men. Based upon anything she didn't tell us, it could be double or triple the amount. The odds aren't in her favor."
Sarah was surprised to hear Summer say it. It was clear more than ever Summer was as much of an adult mentally, as she was young in appearance.
John Henry sent out the warning.
Kyle and Derek were aware it wasn't the future where everyone with underlying diseases, and pre-existing conditions, was wiped out by the virus Skynet unleashed on the survivors of Judgment Day. All Skynet did was make the humans who survived even stronger. The deadwood was taken out of the pack. It left more resources for those fit and healthy to combat Skynet.
Sarah couldn't help but think how the girl was no different than Jan, other than her environment and what was thrust upon her by others. She hoped everyone who abused the girl would burn in Hell.
She couldn't help but think about Jan. Under different conditions, it could be her story. More than ever, she wanted Jan to have a Terminator protector. She didn't care if it was a male or a female at this point. She knew she should have listened to Cameron years ago about everything. She wanted Jan's training stepped up as well.
Summer could see how Sarah was affected by what happened. She glanced up at the security monitor. She knew CamNet could see her.
'Take care of all of them….' Summer typed.
Camille-Hanna threw on a top and some shorts.
"Jesse is your real lover." Camille-Hanna said. "I'm your Metal lover."
Claire didn't see it the same way at all. Metal girls were still just girls to her.
"We can all share." Claire said.
Camille-Hanna looked back as she went out the door.
"I plan to." Camille-Hanna said. "Rest up. I'll check on Summer and find Jesse for you."
Camille–Hanna knew right where Jan was at, as well as Summer from CamNet. They were both fine. Sarah was with John Henry and Summer.
She headed around the back way so she could pass by the girl's rooms. She figured she could find some action there. She wanted Claire to rest up. She was still a little worried about how far she'd taken her earlier.
Claire was just beat. She was asleep in no time.
The two men were inside the destroyed remains of a Skynet related complex. CamNet's terminator followed them in.
"We're bound to find something soon." The first man said. "I can feel it."
The second man wasn't so sure. He was certain if they didn't leave now, they were certain to die there. He made his opinion clear multiple times already.
CamNet's Terminator could see what was there and where to go. He continued his silent pursuit of the two men. When he reached the junction, he looked in the direction they went. He was a little closer to them than he anticipated. He moved across the opening and continued in the direction the passageway was headed. He decided to explore it a little further before he returned and closed up on the men.
He picked up his speed since he didn't anticipate there being anyone in front of him. He became a little concerned as the debris along the sides of the passageway began to pick up. Soon there were piles of debris. He needed to scurry over some of them to continue along. It appeared to him the section of the passageway he was in might be compromised. It was clearly unstable if nothing else. He decided to use a little more caution as he continued forward. He didn't want to give away his position. He didn't want to lose track of the men either.
The two men were in the side passageway.
"I know this is going to lead somewhere important." The first man said.
It was something the second man doubted strongly.
"If it was important, there would still be people here." The second man said. "There would be some type of working lights. We need to watch our batteries. We're never going to get out of here if we lose our lights."
The second man already felt they weren't going to get out of there anyway. He could only express his concerns so many times to the other man. He really didn't know what he thought he was going to find.
The first man shrugged it off. He was elated with the find. All the other places they visited were burnt out buildings, or piles of rubble. The destruction of them was very complete. He knew this location was attacked as well. Either way, they were still inside of it right now.
"We're bound to find something soon." The first man said.
The second man hoped it wasn't their final resting place.
The Terminator continued his search of the deteriorating passageway.
Burn In Hell
There are many choices in life
Most people pick where they will dwell
It doesn't take much time
Before it becomes a cell
Many of their aspirations
They need to shelve and quell
They go nowhere fast
As they slowly retreat into their shell
It doesn't do any good
To speak up or rebel
No one can hear them shout
Nobody cares if they yell
Everything is fixed and stagnant
No other universe is parallel
There's nothing else to see
There is no one to tell
It is only a matter of time
Before their soul they will sell
It's a race to see
Who will burn in Hell
Nobody
