Chapter 1622
One Of Those
Bob, Jim, Derek, and Kyle were inside of the building where some atrocities were committed. A van just arrived inside of the building. They didn't like what they heard.
The team could clearly hear the sound of sobbing and crying from inside of the van once the doors were open. They sprang into action.
Bob grabbed the man on the passenger's side of the van when the sliding door opened. He yanked him out. He could see there was another man in the back next to a female. Her hands were tied behind her back.
He slammed the man down hard on the ground. He reached back inside to grab the second man.
Derek moved forward and checked the man on the ground. He wouldn't be getting back up.
Jim grabbed the driver at the same time Bob grabbed the first man from the passenger's side. He pulled him away from the van. He held him by the neck. He made sure he was disarmed. He only carried a revolver stuck in his pants. He quickly choked the man out with his hand. He dropped him on the ground near Kyle. He went around to the rear and opened the door.
Kyle moved forward to assist him. He searched the unconscious man further.
Bob moved into the van and yanked the man away who was over the female.
The man was still trying to process what happened to the first man. Only a few seconds passed before the big man appeared from nowhere.
Bob grabbed him by the neck and choked him out. He tossed him out on the ground.
The rear doors on the van opened and Jim was there.
The female stopped crying and sobbing as she tried to figure out what just happened. She knew something did, but she didn't know exactly what it was. She was still terrified.
Derek checked the second man. There wasn't much to check. He didn't have any pants on.
Kyle soon joined Jim. He looked at the frightened female.
"I'll take it from here." Kyle said.
Jim moved the driver over to where the other two men were at. He could see one of them was already terminated. He knew it wouldn't be long before the other ones were as well. They caught one of the men in the act of abusing the female. His fate was already sealed.
Kyle began to attempt to reassure and soothe the female. He wanted to convince her everything was under control. She was no longer in danger. Her immediate troubles were over.
Bob handed her a pair of pants. Her shirt was ripped open. He got out and took the shirt off the man he terminated. He looked at the other two men on the ground. He gave both of them a kick in the thigh. He moved back into the interior of the van and handed the shirt to the female. She was sitting up now. She just put her pants back on.
Jim went to check on the other person who was being abused earlier. Derek went with him.
Bob left Kyle to speak with the female alone. He moved the two men and the corpse away from the van. There was no need to further traumatize the female when they removed her from the van. If she asked about the men, he would simply say they were in custody.
Camille-Hanna glanced at Gail before she returned her attention to Dee. They were about to enter the building and deal with the female's abusers. It was going to be a terminal situation for those involved in the abuse.
"You're to remain in the vehicle." Camille-Hanna said. "If you get out, one of us will need to come back to make sure you remain secure. This is a very rough neighborhood. It will only leave one of us to deal with your mother's boyfriend and his associates."
Dee understood the two females could be injured on her behalf. She wanted the men punished for what they did to her and why.
"I want you to make sure none of them will be able to abuse anyone again." Dee said. "I don't care how you do it. It just needs to be done."
Camille-Hanna knew if Sheila was with them, she would physically carry out Dee's wishes. She knew Sheila always liked to show the perpetrators what they would no longer be able to use again. It was a perspective they never could have observed before since Sheila held the item, or items, in her hand. They were no longer attached to the assailant's body.
Gail planned to terminate the perpetrators with extreme prejudice.
"I can guarantee no one in the building will ever hurt anyone else again." Gail said.
Camille-Hanna and Gail moved away from the SUV.
"I hope she stays in the vehicle." Camille-Hanna said.
Gail knew the drone would keep watch on her. CamNet would warn them if Dee exited the vehicle. She wanted to take care of the men the same way Jesse did. It was always very violent when a sexual predator was dealt with.
"I'm going to personally deal with the mother's boyfriend." Gail said. "I want to warn you now it's going to be extreme."
Camille-Hanna didn't think 'extreme' would be a problem. She watched Sheila in action plenty of times. She was pretty sure nothing got more extreme than Sheila did. She was sure whatever Sheila picked up on the 'Neural Interface' with Jesse, was multiplied several times in its extremeness. Sheila was a Terminator after all. She could do a lot with just her hands. There was no part of a human body she couldn't crush or rip off. It didn't matter whether it was an arm, a leg, a head, or any other smaller appendage.
They reached the front door. There was no need for a clandestine entry. They were updated by CamNet on what she was able to pick up from inside of the dwelling. There was definitely someone inside who didn't want to be there.
They did what Terminators do.
Gail kicked open the front door. The door frame ripped loose along with the door. It was secured with a barricade bar. It didn't matter. The barricade bar and its supports flew into the room along with the door.
There were two individuals on the floor. One was on top of the other. Four other men stood around in a loose circle and watched what was going on. There was a lot of laughter and snide remarks.
Five of the heads turned in the direction where the front door used to be. Whatever each of them was doing, is how they remained with their mouth now slightly ajar trying to comprehend what just happened. There was a large female headed towards them. She moved with lightning speed. Her eyes glowed red. There was another female right behind her.
Before any of the men could move, Gail was on them. She went over the top of the two individuals on the floor. She grabbed all four of the other males. As she passed over the male on the floor, she slammed her foot down hard on his back.
Camille-Hanna was right behind her. She could see Gail was extremely upset with the men as she began to deal with them. It was going to be messy.

Speedy and Eddie showed the girls out of the hangar.
Cameron and Young Allison headed for the Galaxie.
Speedy saw where they were headed. He took a moment to look the car over. He knew power when he saw it.
"Is this your car?" Speedy asked. "It looks like a 'sleeper'."
Young Allison smiled at him.
"Yes. It is." Young Allison said.
Cameron could see Speedy check it out.
"Do you know what it is?" Cameron asked. "They only built two hundred and twelve of them."
The look on Speedy's face was the same look anyone else would have when they looked at one of his aircraft.
"I sure do." Speedy said. "I had one on order at the Ford dealer in Mojave. I don't think I'm going to be able to get one. I really want to get my hands on a 427. It's currently the 'Merlin' of vehicle engines out there right now. I like fast things."
Eddie looked at the Galaxie. He knew Speedy was infatuated with speed.
"Remember what his nickname is." Eddie said.
Cameron wanted to give him a little insight on what was going to be available in a few more months. She didn't think it would be wise to tell him the Ford 427 was going to dominate NASCAR Grand National races for the next few years. It would bring Ford the Grand National championship for seven years straight. The bottom end would stay the same with the forged parts and the four bolt mains. There would be multiple head designs. The engine currently sported what would become known as 'low riser' heads. There would be 'high riser' heads, followed by 'medium riser' heads. One of the prominent drag racers would make hemispherical heads. As the competition attempted to keep up in NASCAR, the 'tunnel port' head would be designed. There was also a single overhead cam version known as the 427 SOHC. She figured she better stick to the present.
"There's going to be even a faster version available in 1964." Cameron said. "It's a Fairlane equipped with a 427. It's lighter than this vehicle. Make sure you get the option with the dual quads. The rated horsepower is 425. Its actual horsepower is well over what it's rated at. The only company who rates the engines at more horsepower than the cubic inches is Chevrolet. It doesn't do anything good for anyone's insurance rates by them doing such a thing. It's going to be called the Thunderbolt. They're only going to make a hundred of them for sale to the public. Some dealers will convert some on their own, they'll be clones. I suggest you place an order in a larger city as soon as you fly into one. They probably won't know what you're talking about at first. Have someone get on the computer, I mean the telephone, and call headquarters directly. It won't hurt to flash a little cash if you have it. Cash tends to make people listen."
Eddie could already picture it.
"I'm sure we'll be running drags on the taxiway when he gets his hands on one." Eddie said. "It's where some of the local racers show up at on Friday and Saturday nights."
Cameron gave Speedy a brief rundown on the engine specs and what she did so far.
Speedy was impressed at some of the vehicles Cindy raced against.
"You took on a fuel injected Stingray?" Speedy asked.
Young Allison wanted to make it clear.
"There was also a 413, a 409, a Cobra and an XK Type E." Young Allison said. "They all got to look at our two round tail lights and to listen to our exhaust."
Speedy was thrilled at the idea of an even faster car.
"I'm going to look into a Thunderbolt." Speedy said. "I flew a Thunderbolt. I plan to drive one too."
Eddie shook his head slightly.
"It sounds like I'll have something else to work on as well." Eddie said. "I was happy with my Rocket 88."
Cameron tilted her head slightly. She knew the vehicle he alluded to was mentioned in the song 'Rip It Up'. It was simply referred to as an '88'. She knew the horsepower race of the Sixties would lay the groundwork for the engines which would be raced for decades to come. All the bells and whistles put on the various 'super machines' over the years still couldn't match the performance of many of the muscle cars and the versions which were modified to race. She'd actually watched a 1964 Thunderbolt race before. The driver turned 9200 RPM and ran in the 8s at 150 plus miles an hour. She wanted to set Eddie straight about his Rocket 88.
"The Galaxie Lightweight and the Thunderbolt are both much quicker." Cameron said.
Young Allison didn't want Cameron to get ahead of herself.
"Remember the Thunderbolt isn't available yet." Young Allison said. "If he wants to be in a Thunderbolt now, it'll have to be in a P-47 again."
Cameron let her skirt blow up one last time. She figured it would make them forget about what she just said. It never ceased to amaze her how a few female sheath components could have such an influence and effect on humans.
Young Allison wanted to move Cameron along.
"You can drive." Young Allison said.
Cameron smiled.
They climbed into the Galaxie and fired it up.
They both waved at Speedy and Eddie.
"Let's see some rubber." Speedy called out.
Cameron looked over at Young Allison.
"I'm going to dump the clutch at five thousand RPM." Cameron said. "Hang on."
Cameron checked around to make sure it was clear. The path straight ahead didn't have any obstacles in it. She kicked up the revs and popped the clutch. The Galaxie fishtailed slightly as it laid down twin streaks of rubber on the asphalt. Cameron stayed on the gas and got rubber into second with no problem. She let off the gas before she shifted into third. The speed limit was only 25 miles an hour. She was double the speed limit before she shifted into second.
Young Allison looked over as they went past several of the other hangars.
"I bet there's a lot of Warbirds in some of those hangars." Young Allison said.
Cameron glanced over as well. She was a little surprised at one of the aircraft she viewed. It was very distinctive.
"I spotted a T-Bird and what might be a de Havilland Vampire." Cameron said. "There's a few of those on the Warbird circuit."
Young Allison looked back but didn't see it. She knew there were other aircraft which were similar from the same manufacturer. It seemed to be the way it was with all of them. They all just kept redesigning the same aircraft.
"You made a good spot." Young Allison said. "It has a distinctive design."
Cameron thought about its beginnings
"It first flew around the same time the P-80 did." Cameron said.
Young Allison thought about the P-80. It missed its first chance at combat where it would have excelled.
"It's really a shame the Shooting Star never got to mix it up with the Swallow." Young Allison said.
Cameron wasn't sure if it was a good or a bad thing.
"The war ended too early." Cameron said. "The first operational squadron just arrived in Italy as the war was about to end. A P-80 would have walked all over the ME 262. Like everything else associated with the nation involved, it was overrated. There were a lot of good ideas, but few of them were actually perfected before they were rushed into production. It seemed to be how things were from all of Europe. There were a lot of good concepts out there, few of them were reliable. I don't believe something can be considered to work, if it's not reliable. If you can't depend on it, what good is it?"
Cameron made her way out of the airport. She headed back over towards the highway. The Mojave rail yard was directly in front of them.
Moments ago:
Speedy and Eddie stood in the cloud of burnt rubber.
"I'm going to get me one of those." Speedy said. "It's the hottest thing I've ever seen."
Eddie fanned his hand in front of his face several times and coughed.
"It sure was." Eddie said. "It's really a great car."
Speedy looked over at Eddie.
"I wouldn't mind getting one of the cars either." Speedy said.
One Of Those
It takes more than a little time
For one's thoughts to compose
When things start to congeal
They may create some prose
There will be some highs
Even if there are more lows
One will miss a lot
If they snooze or doze
The mistakes seem to happen
When one starts to suppose
There's always some type of darkness
When there are shadows
When things start to crack
One's commitment soon shows
Eventually it is known by all
Whether they will support or oppose
The direction followed and taken
May not be the one they chose
When they see what they like
They will want one of those
Nobody
