With the other Autobots disguised themselves on Earth and Megatron has a map, Optimus and the others decided to establish the hidden base with the kids' help.
"This is the place!" Coby said as they're walking in the canyon. "Check it out! Solid granite. Probably at least three miles thick and there's enough iron or in the water walls to shield any electromagnetic emissions."
"What my big brother means is this is perfect for a secret base." Bud clarified.
"I guess you guys can use it." Lori said, "My dad was gonna build a Housing Development up here before the market went soft."
"Huh? Soft? Looks pretty hard to me." Scattershot said while scanning the area.
"Not the ground. The market. Oh, never mind!"
Scattershot then turns to Optimus. "Well, it's solid now. Coby's right. Should provide plenty of natural shield and it's far away from any human activity. This looks like our best bet, Optimus."
Optimus nodded in approval. "All right. We need to get everything set up before sundown. You got that team? Roll out!"
"Right!"
"Got that!"
Jolt then got back after scouting around the area they're in.
"Aerial Survey complete." He reported and transformed to robot mode.
The Autobots brings up the blueprints for the base on Earth.
"Command Center!" Scattershot said, looking at the blueprints. "Communications Array! Energon reactors. And Central Data Processing. Looks like we got everything."
"What? Are you serious?" Lori spoke. "I just think you could use a more efficient design, that's all."
"So, what's wrong?"
"Are you kidding? There's no workflow, no ventilation, and if you haven't noticed, there aren't even any bathrooms! You gotta work smarter, not harder." She said, "That's my dad's first rule of business. Catch my drift? You should organize everything around a central hub, with easy access to all the other work areas."
"Wait! You mean something like this?" Jolt said, projecting the blueprints.
"Cool! Just like the league of Galactic Guardians!" Bud said.
"Well, it's a good start." She said, looking at the blueprint.
"I don't really see the difference, do you?" Landmine mummered.
"I guess it's some weirdo Earth thing." Overhaul said.
"That's just rude!" Lori frowned when she heard them.
"No!"
"We're all sorry, ma'am."
"All right, who's up for construction duty?" Optimus said. "Autobots, sound off!"
"Landmine!
"Scattershot!"
"Overhaul!"
"Jetfire!"
"Jolt!"
"Nightflier!"
"Hot Shot!"
"Fire!" Optimus fired his blaster at the canyon wall.
"Turbine Wave!" Jetfire unleashed his plane's turbine wind at the wall.
"Ground Pounder!" Overhaul jumped and smashed the wall.
"Turbo Kick!" Hot Shot round kicked the wall.
"Sonic Blaster!" Nightflier fires his shoulder cannon at the wall.
"These guys can rock!" Bud remarked.
"I'm ready, Prime." Landmine said, wanted to help them.
"Now hold on, Landmine. You're not fully recovered yet." Optimus said, putting his servo on his shoulder before walking away. "And I need you 100% before we go after Megatron again. Start clearing some of this debris."
"Hey, Optimus! Bet you can't that boulder up on the ridge." Bud said as Optimus and the others is clearing the debris away.
"Bud, leave the man alone." Coby chided before Vector Prime is checking the mark of the Atlantis. "Argh! That sound!"
"It seems impossible, but it cannot be the coincidence." He muttered as the kids hears the loud frequency.
"Hey, gramps! What's with all the rackets?" Bud shouted while they covered their ears. "Argh! You're making my teeth hurt!"
"That so-called racket you speak of is the transonic signal given off by the Omega Lock." Vector said. "You alone can hear its call. The fate of the universe rests with you."
"It does?" They said.
Meanwhile in the fire dimension, Megatron and Starscream looks at the Earth after Thundercracker reported to them about the Autobots.
"Who cares what the Autobots are doing on Earth! We have the map!" Starscream urged him. "We should be looking for the Cyber Planet Keys!"
"Not yet! You heard Thundercracker's report." Megatron said, "They're up to something."
"But once we have the Cyber Planet Keys, Optimus and the Autobots will cower before us!" He said. "What good will their plans be then?"
"I really don't like surprises." Megatron said, "First we visit Earth. Then we search for the keys."
Back on Earth, the kids walked in the tunnels as the Autobots is setting up the interior in the base.
"If Vector Prime is right, we're the only ones who can find the Omega Lock." Coby said.
"So the Autobots really need our help!" Bud said.
"Wow!" They awed at the interior design of Autobot's base.
"Scattershot! Hot shot! Overhaul! You work on the sensor and communications." Optimus ordered. "Everyone else, apply stealth beam coating to the walls and doors."
"Right, Optimus!" They said before scattering as they're given a task.
"Stealth beam? Really?" Bud said, "Like on jet fighters?"
"Isn't that awesome?" Coby said, "Come on guys! Let's go check the command center!"
Hot shot then set the machine down.
"Got it! There's the oscillator. Now where's the skin converter?" He walked away as Overhaul and Scattershot carries the machine.
"Why do I always get the crummy jobs?" Overhaul grumbled as he set the machine top of it.
"Whoa! Would you check out all the sweet gear?" Bud said as they look at the machine.
"Yeah! it's probably way beyond human technology." Hot Shot said, "So whatever you do, don't touch the equipment, you got it?"
The human kids looked and touched the equipment anyway.
"Hey! Come on, you guys! Stop that!"
"Hey, ahh, Hot Shot?" Coby asked, "How come you use a crystal oscillator?"
"That's, uh, kinda technical.." He said.
"'Cause, I just thought that a phase-locked loop would be, ah, much more stable."
"Hmm." Hot Shot then come up with another idea. "Hey, uh, how would you like to help me set up the transmitter?"
"You got it!" Coby said, giving him thumbs-up.
Bud then talks to Jetfire, Nightflier, and Jolt.
"You can't just fly out of here. You gotta go…" Bud makes a sound. "Then…"
"Ooh!" Jolt said, makes a sound like Bud.
"Do what now?" Jetfire said, confused.
"What do you mean, Bud?" Nightflier said.
"You need to shoot out of here at top speed, just like a catapult!" Bud said.
"A catapult?" They said.
"Humans use them to launch planes off ships." Jolt said.
"All you have to do is step on the platform… then BLAM! You're in the stratosphere!" Bud said.
"Look kid, I don't know what the heck..." Jetfire said, rubbing his head.
"No, Jetfire, I think the kid's got the right idea." Scattershot said, knows what Bud means.
"What idea?!" Jetfire groaned.
"The catapult thing! You could reach maximum velocity before you leave the base! Without using extra energon."
"Really? Well, why didn't you say that in the first place?"
"We did!" They said.
"You could've been more specific than that." Nightflier shook his head.
Outside the base, Jolt carries the Communication Array to the top.
"Hey! Careful with that thing, Jolt." Hot Shot said with Coby's help. "Okay. Steady, steady."
After that, Hot Shot and Bud connects the power connectors.
"Sweet!" Bud shouted.
Lori was then looking at the floor's layout on the paper.
"Okay, the alignment of this piece is absolutely crucial." She said before shouting at Overhaul. "Hey Overhaul. That piece goes right over here."
Overhaul carries the sofa and place it on the ground where Lori is pointing.
"Jetfire, what's our status?" Optimus asked.
"We're looking good, chief." Jetfire said as Scattershot and Jolt working on covering the cave walls with metal plating. "Right on schedule. We'll have all ready by sundown."
With the combined efforts, they successfully built their hidden base before sundown.
"Hey, good job, you guys! This totally looks like a real secret headquarters!" Bud said, looking at their new base.
"Gee, maybe 'cause it is one!" Hot Shot said.
"Okay, righty tighty. And we should be just ready for the big show." Scattershot said, while connecting the computer connectors. "Okay, Coby. Fire it up!"
"You got it!" Coby then pulls the lever down.
The communication and sensor system is now powering on and operational as the base's light is on.
"All right!" Coby said.
"Hot Shot was right!" Bud beamed. "This is the real thing."
"And so stylish." Lori added.
Suddenly, the alarm is blaring as the monitor is showing the warning sign.
"Okay, nobody panic, it's probably just a glitch." Scattershot said.
"Huh?!" The kids sighed.
"Just let me tie this down here... gimme a second... adjusting frequency…" He adjusted the frequency channel until the radar scanner shows the two blips, heading towards the Earth.
"What is that?" Coby gasped.
"Hang on! Let me see if I can boost the resolution. They're still pretty far away." He then boosted the scans, showing the picture of Megatron and Starscream. "Oh no!"
"Hmm?!" Hot Shot said.
"Now you can panic!"
The kids gasped in shock.
"Optimus, come in!" Scattershot contacts him.
In the corridor, Optimus Prime receives a from the command room as Vector Prime, Jetfire, and Nightflier is with him.
"Go ahead, Scattershot." He responded back, "What is it?"
"We've got a definite situation here, Optimus!" Scattershot said, "Long range sensors just up two objects entering Earth's atmosphere. It looks like Megatron and he's got Starscream with him!"
"Hmm. Why would they come here?" Optimus wondered.
"Perhaps they seek the Omega Lock!" Vector assumed
"The Omega Lock?
"You think they know it's hidden on Earth?" Nightflier asked.
"It's possible." Vector said.
"It gets worse, Big Bot." Hot Shot said,
"Huh?" The kids looked at him.
"Worse how?" Coby said.
"It's the stealth beam coating." Hot Shot said, "So far, we've only got about half of the base done."
"But if the base isn't shield, then what exactly does that mean?" Lori said.
"Without that coding, Megatron will sense this base from a lightyear away." Jetfire said. "Our secret won't be a secret anymore."
"We have no choice but to abandon the base." Optimus said. "And Earth."
"No!" The kids cried.
"Scattershot, what's the Decepticon's maximum sensor range?" He asked.
"In this terrain and atmosphere, I'd say 240 km. max." He said.
"All right, this is the plan. Jetfire, Hotshot, Nightflier and I will hold them off."
"Right!"
"Yes, sir!"
"Mhm!" Hot Shot nodded.
"The rest of you, get that stealth coating up. Do whatever you have to but get it done."
"Let's roll!" They said as Hot Shot went to Optimus and the others.
"Hey! We want to help too!" Coby said.
"Yeah, this is our base too, you know." Bud said.
"Thanks kids. I knew I could count on you." Optimus nodded.
"Optimus." He turns to Vector Prime. "If they have come for the Omega Lock, we must stop them, no matter the cost. Are you ready to make such a sacrifice?"
"Agreed. We should fight them until our Sparks are extinguished."
Vector nodded as Optimus nodded back.
At the loading bay, Optimus and the Autobots headed to their launch bay.
"Condition Red! We have two Decepticons at 2000 km. and getting closer every minute!" Scattershot said. "Everybody, get ready for action!"
The canyon wall opened and deploys the runway as Jetfire and Nightflier goes up.
"Opening all primary launch bases."
The waterfall opens the runway tunnel.
"Deploying surface access ramps!"
The ramp rises from the lake to make a bridge as Hot Shot goes down.
"Deploying vertical launch ramp!"
The mountain splits in half as Vector Prime goes to the launch bay.
Once everybody is in positions and transformed into alt mode, they are ready to deploy.
"All locked and launched!"
Jetfire then launched first to the launch ramp and Nightflier is launched next. Vector Prime then launched in the air as Optimus Prime and Hot Shot takes the road.
"Remember, nobody gets within 150 miles of the base!" Optimus issued.
"Understood." They said.
"I'm gonna drop them where they stay." Hot Shot said.
"Just held them off, Hot Shot." Jetfire told him. "Nothing fancy."
"Right." Optimus said.
"Aw, you're no fun." He said.
The group sees them left the base to hold Megatron and Starscream off.
"They're on their way." Scattershot said, "Well, we'd better get busy on our end."
"Let's go!" They all left to spray the stealth coating beam all over the area.
Flying into the atmosphere, Megatron and Starscream is flying to Earth as they think the Autobots is up to something or they found and hid the Omega Lock away.
"See? Nothing! Now are you satisfied?" Starscream said.
"Not so fast, Starscream." Megatron said before spotting the incoming Autobots. "Look!"
They see the flying Autobots headed their way.
"Like lambs to the slaughter." Starscream remarked.
"Do not destroy them until we find out what they're up to." Megatron ordered before they dispersed.
"Is it my imagination or have they gotten even uglier?" Jetfire said.
"Ugly is as ugly does, Jetfire." Optimus said.
They then dodged the incoming missiles as Nightflier and Jetfire returns fire at the Decepticons.
"Wow! You're a cheeky one!" Jetfire said before chasing Starscream.
Starscream then transformed to Robot mode and shot Jetfire down. Megatron transformed to Robot mode and sees Jetfire is down.
"How pathetic!" He smirked.
Coming out of the smokes, He sees Optimus and Nightflier is shooting at Megatron, who dodged their attacks and tried attack them with his power before they transformed to robot mode.
"Beat it, Megatron! You're not welcome here." Optimus said.
"VILLAIN, RETURN MY MAP!" Vector Prime demanded as he flew in and transformed to robot mode. "I shall reclaim what's mine!"
"No, wait!" Optimus shouted as they follows him.
"Oh really?" Megatron zaps Vector with his power as Vector Prime swerves through.
The ancient Prime punched and kicked Megatron.
"Return the map!" He demanded. "Huh?"
Megatron regained his flight and laughed. "I don't think so!"
He then launched the missiles at him, knocking out of the sky.
"Vector Prime!" Optimus cried.
"I'll get him, sir!" Nightflier then swooped down to catch him.
Optimus then glanced at Megatron as he smirked while he glared at him.
At the base, the group spreads out and covers the hallways with stealth coding beams.
"Keep it up, guys." Scattershot said, "We've got a lot of hallways to cover."
Overhaul is in the hallway while cover them with stealth coding beams.
"All right, Scattershot! We hear you!" He said, spraying the hallway. "What a waste of my talent."
Then, Landmine is in another hallway while spraying with stealth coding beams as well.
"I copy that, Scattershot." He said before contacting the kids. "Coby, how are you kids doing on your section?"
The kids are in the other hallway as they're covering them with stealth coding beams.
"Pretty good, Landmine. We're almost with Corridor C." He said. 'We can't let the Autobots down. If we blow this, the whole universal will be in danger.'
"I know everyone's working as fast as they can, but I don't think we're gonna make it." Scattershot said while watching everyone is spraying the corridors. "All teams, status report!"
"A Block stealth beam coding: 57% complete." Overhaul said.
"B Block: 65% complete." Landmine reported.
"C Block. Um.. about 75% complete." Coby said. "Give us five more minute."
"Good work! Start on D Block as soon as you're finished." Scattershot said. "Well, maybe Megatron will just give up and go away."
But the sensor scans shows that Megatron and Starscream is coming at their way.
"But then again, maybe not."
Back at the battle, Hot Shot is driving faster to the battle.
"HOT SHOT, TRANSFORM!" He transformed to robot and launched rockets at the Decepticons. "Pulse Cannon!"
Starscream dodged them and fires his Null Cannons at Hot Shot. Vector Prime flies in to tackle Starscream, but he sidestepped and kicked him away.
"Old fool!" He snarked before looking up.
"Megatron, there's nothing to be gained here!" Optimus said while Nightflier and Jetfire circles around them.
"Somehow I doubt that!" He scoffed.
Jetfire then transformed to robot mode and fires the missiles at Megatron while Nightflier fires his left-handed Ion Blasters.
"Gotcha!" Optimus shoots his blaster at Megatron as well.
However, Megatron laughed and holds his both servos out, canceling all their attacks.
"Impossible!" Jetfire gasped.
"How did he get so much powerful?" Nightflier said, shocked.
Megatron laughed, manically. "Such feeble blows are a mere annoyance to me."
"They are blocking us!" Starscream said.
"What?"
"Look at their positions." He noticed something's off.
"I know."
"They formed a defensive line to keep us from something."
"There's only to find out what." Megatron said. "Hmm. Very well, we'll do this the hard way. Come on."
"Right."
"Here they come!" Optimus said, shooting at them.
The Autobots fires all their rockets and lasers at them as the Decepticons dodged them until they're hit.
"No way they're flying out of that." Jetfire said.
"No, it's too easy." Nightflier said. "No way they're defeated that easily.
As they looked, Megatron and Starscream transformed to jet mode and flew passed them as they're headed towards their base.
"I stand corrected."
"Well, I hope they're finishing painting." Jetfire said.
Back at the base, Scattershot was a little under pressure as the corridors is almost finished.
"Take it easy, Scattershot." He mumbled. "See? There's only one block left.
He then heard an alarm and the sensor scanner shows the Decepticons is heading for their base.
"Oh no!" He gulped. "Attention, everyone! Megatron broke through. He'll be in less than fifty seconds."
"Huh?" They gasped.
"Overhaul, get over to D Block and quick!" Scattershot told him.
"But there isn't time." He said.
"There's still almost a minute left, Overhaul. I know it's not much, but we're not giving up."
"All right, but there's no way I can do it all by myself."
"Maybe not, but you still gotta try." He said, "Now get going."
"Right! I can do this!" Overhaul transformed to a vehicle and sped to the Block D.
Outside the base, Optimus and the Autobots is shooting Megatron and Starscream as they keep dodging their lasers.
"I can't let Megatron win." Optimus exclaimed, "I can't let them destroy everything."
"We won't let that happened, Prime." Nightflier said.
"Right behind you." Jetfire said as they fly faster.
The sensor scanner detects the Decepticons is getting closer to their range.
"Less than thirty miles until we're in range." Scattershot said. "Okay, stealth-beam coating is completed on A Block, B Block, and C Block. And now it's all up to Overhaul... We are so doomed!"
Overhaul is driving faster to D Block as fast as he can.
Getting closer, Megatron flew ahead as he is getting closer to the base's range.
"You fail, Autobots. Soon, I shall know your secrets."
Made it to the D Block corridor, Overhaul came to stop and transformed to robot before spraying the hallway.
'I can do this.' He thought, spraying faster. 'I can do this. I can do this.'
"He's going so fast." Bud said as they got back from the corridor,
"Come on, Overhaul." Coby said, "You can do it."
They see Overhaul is spraying fast as he can.
'Just a little more.' Lori thought.
'Keep going, kid.' Landmind thought, 'Keep going.'
'Come on, Overhaul.' She said as Overhaul is spraying harder.
The sensor scan shows Megatron is getting closer to its sensor range.
"Oh man! Tell me when it's over." Scattershot panicked, covers his optics.
Megatron kept flying as he gets closer.
"Whatever can it be? A secret of such important hidden on Earth." He said.
Suddenly, the portal in front of him and Vector Prime teleported in between him and the base.
"What?" Megatron then transformed to robot mode.
"Hold, Megatron! You shall not go no further!" He said, not letting him get past him.
"Look! It's Vector Prime!" Optimus said, spotted him.
"Stand aside!" Megatron demanded.
Vector Prime suddenly starts glowing all over his body and lets out the mighty roar as he extends the column of bright light to the sky.
"Huh?" Megatron gasped.
Something is falling from the sky and inserts in his abdomen.
"CYBER KEY POWER!" He yelled as his chest glows.
"By the Allspark of Cybertron!" Optimus Prime said.
"What is this power that he did?" Nightflier said.
"What is it? what are you protecting?" Megatron demanded as he flies in with his fist.
"TACHYON SHIELD!" Vector Prime generates a force shield, stopping Megatron.
The Autobots keeps heading to the light.
"What trickery is this?" Starscream said, transformed to robot mode and fires his Null Cannon at Optimus, Jetfire, and Nightflier as they dodged his laser.
"That light! It's stop Megatron cold!" Hot Shot said.
"Cover me! I'm going in!" Optimus ordered before they flew away.
Hot Shot transformed to robot mode as dodged the laser.
"Eat plasma!" He shot the rockets at Starcream, Knocking him away.
"The Omega Lock! It must be!" Megatron said as he pushed harder against the force shield.
Vector Prime yelled and fires a powerful laser at Megatron, blowing him away.
"No way!" Nightflier gasped.
"Did you see that?" Jetfire asked.
"I sure did!" Optimus said before flying ahead. "OPTIMUS PRIME, SUPER MODE!"
Optimus Prime combines with the rear trailer and transformed to super mode. He then armed all the cannons and aimed at Megatron.
"Fire!" He fires all the cannons, hitting Megatron directly.
"They got Megatron!" Starscream gasped before flying after him.
"Quick! Quickly, Starscream! The Warp Gate!" Megatron ordered while holding his injured left arm.
"Right!"
They then retreated to the warp gate and closed it as the Autobots watches them go.
At the base, they see the Decepticons has the left the Earth for now.
"They're leaving! They're leaving!" Scattershot said. "I don't believe it!"
"Mission accomplished!" Overhaul called in.
The kids sighed in relief that the base is now safe and hidden as they were almost close of being discovered by Megatron.
"We made it!" Lori sighed.
"Yeah! I knew we would." Scattershot said.
At sundown, the Autobots thanked Vector for keeping the Decepticons from discovering their hidden base.
"Vector Prime. Without you, we would have lost this base." Optimus said, "We're honored to have you with us."
"No, the honor is mine." Vector said, held his servo for handshake.
"But Vector Prime. What was that thing that fell out of the sky?" Hot Shot asked. "Man, you were lit up like a solar flare!"
"Young warrior, that a Cyber Key."
"Cyber Key?" They repeated.
"A tiny fragment of the power of Primus." He explained. "You do not know it?"
"Frankly, we've never seen anything like it." Optimus said.
"Yeah, this is the first time we seen it." Nightflier said, "If only we could access to that power, we could use that to beat the Decepticons."
"Well, now you shall have them." Vector Prime pulls out his sword as it shines.
"Huh?" Optimus looks at the glowing left cannon.
Jetfire's tail assembly, Nightflier's Sonic Cannon, and Hot Shot's tail wing as they were granted to access the Cyber Key power.
"Sweet!" Hot shot said.
"Use well your Cyber Keys, valiant warriors." He said, "For you have truly earned them this day."
The Autobot's hidden base is safe and Optimus and the others now have granted the power to access the Cyber Key's power to defeat the Decepticons.
