Chapter 1.
I jostled out of nowhere, making me snap my eyes open from the lovely nap I was taking on this annoying gray shaking box of doom, well doom for my best friend, and speaking of best friend i look to my right seeing him sitting there, eyes closed like me a couple of seconds ago, but I know he's not asleep that idiot can't sleep on one of these for the life of him though having terrible motion sickness doesn't help one bit. I tap him on the shoulder making him break the concentration he had so he wouldn't throw up. I see him open his eyes slowly and look at me with his sapphire blue eyes. His eyes brightened up seeing the person that woke him up was his bff.
"What's up? Did you need me for something Bloody?" he says to me with a happy tone and a small smile on his face. "Naw i didn't need nothing from ya, but the reason i got you out of your meditating was cause we should be almost there, go ahead and channel your semblance like we trained before so you can handle negate your motion sickness" I see him nod before seeing his aura shimmer slightly, my eyes soften at seeing the light, warm, golden glow of it. I get up from my seat slowly before using my semblance to stretch and pop the bones in my body, I sigh in relief feeling my now loose muscles. I finally see Jaune get up having to look up since the bastard got taller. I know I can just make myself taller because of my semblance but I've gotten used to being short so I'm fine with it. "You good" I ask with a concerned voice though "yeah i'm good Bloody so don't worry alright?" He says with a cheerful voice and a smile on his face looking down to look at me, I sigh and shake my head before turning off the seals in my helmet, I hear the familiar noise of them letting go before twisting it to the right and taking it off. I look up at him again again now bare faced before pinching the bridge of my nose with my gloved hand. "That's good, just worried like usual." I finish with a joking voice. He chuckles and I smile softly before hearing someone seeing a blonde woman appear on the screens. She starts talking about how we are going to be training at the best hunter school and other stuff that I didn't care to listen to.
"I don't wanna be the bees knees Yang, I want normal kneessss!" I hear a girl yell behind me, I turn around and look to see a short girl in a red and black color scheme yelling at a taller girl wearing semi revealing clothing, though her most defined trait is her long and fluffy blonde hair that goes to her back "Ah c'mon you're special sis you got in here 2 years earlier that's awesome!" I look at Jaune with a confused look "hey Jaune i think we found us but girled" i put a shit eating grin on my face while looking up to him "I concur I think we did, should we go talk to them?" He looks at me with a grin "I think we shall" I say before putting my helmet under my left arm as Jaune and I make our way towards them, as we get closer to the 2 girls Jaune and I notice that they don't even notice us even though we're arms length to them. I look at Jaune with confused eyes and he returns it in full, but I just shrug before clearing my throat making the 2 of them look at us with confused eyes as well "Yo" I say with a casual voice and a little wave "Yo to you too shortstack" She says with a cheeky smirk before chuckling "Shortstack?" I say with an eyebrow quirked up "Yup shortstack" her cheeky smile gets worse "Doubling down?" I said with a grin now "yup" she returned the grin before we both chuckled before i stuck my hand out for a hand shake "names Josh, what about yours?" I say softly smiling at her, I see her eyes soften the same with her smile, she then shakes my hand. "Names Yang, Yang Xiao Long. pleasure to meet ya shortstake" She says nicely "the pleasures all mine" i say kindly before looking at the short girls and Jaune talking, a smile forms on my face seeing Jaune finally befriend someone new.
"So you friends with her?"
"No she's actually my little sister" she says with a straight face.
"Huh really?" I asked confused since they look nothing alike
"Half siblings" she said normally
"Ah, same here ironically" I say
"Oh, you and the blonde brothers?" She asked with a quirked brow
"No he wishes though, we're just childhood friends" I say with a soft smile
"Ah well that's cute" She says with a cheeky grin
"Yeah i know" I chuckle
I chuckle before whistling to get Jaunes attention "so who's your new friend Jaune?" I ask with a smile "Oh well this is Ruby Rose sister of Yang Xiao Long and she like cookies and" he starts to list off more things about her but we were almost to Beacon so i had to cut him off "would love to learn more but from the looks of it we are almost there" I say because i started to notice people move towards the windows, I then see ruby sprint to one with yang in tow, I bump Jaune and point my head at a window so we can see what everyone else was looking at. "Hot damn that is one nice view!" I say with excitement before looking at Jaune and seeing him smile wide with sparkly sapphire eyes. "Yeah it is!" he says with such joy on his face.
The ship rumbles as I turn my head to see people starting to congregate near the ramp, I signal Jaune about the recent development and tap yang on the tricep "hey sunshine looks like we're here now" i say to her with a cheeky smirk "thanks for the heads up shortstack" she returns said cheeky smirk. She signals Ruby and we decide to walk as a group, from left to right it was Me, Yang, Ruby, and then Jaune, we see the ramp start to go down as we are greeted with a magical site. Seeing the school up close for the first time made me think back on a hard game series i loved to play (god i hated seeing that you died message) "Soooooo —" i start before getting my collar yanked on by yang " HEY SIS I SEE SOME OLD FRIENDS, SORRY JAUNE IM TAKING JOSH BYEEEEEEEEEE!" She says loud and fast before I see her sprint forwards off the ramp, of course since she still had me in her grasp I got flung towards her "SLOW DOWN SLOW DOWN, IM NOT A FUCKING KITE YA DICK HEAD!" i said before being slammed into yang, making her slam into the ground "you idiot this is why-" i was about to scold her before realizing i was on top of her, i spring back up grabbing yang and yanking her up with me, i start to dust her down "imsosorryishouldvewarnedyouiweighashittoncauseofmysemblance"
I sputter off before being silenced with a finger on the lip, i look up at her with her amused but soft eyes, i notice the smirk on her face and some blush on her cheeks "jeez you're good shortstack, don't blow a fuze" She says with a warm joking voice, i let my cheeks flair up a little before looking away for a sec "well we should probably go inside now huh?" I say looking down before looking at her, she nods and agrees before we start to make our way to the auditorium.
We made our way into the auditorium as yang looks around to find a spot, though i see a spot before her so i grabbed her sleeve and start to drag her to the spot "jeez look whos the dick head now" she smirks before chuckling, i join her and chuckle as well. "Well i never said i was nice sunshine" i say jokingly "well you are nice shortstack" She responds with a soft smile and blush, i blush also before looking away "shut it dumbass" i say with a large blush on my face, i finally make it to the spot before letting go of yang, but she grabbed the left cuff of my jacket with her right hand softly, barely holding it, i look at her hand and blush, before looking ahead as we both wait for the other pair. As almost an hour passes of us just in comfortable silence, i then see yang perk up before tugging on my sleeve, guess she doesn't see me looking at her, the goof, i tap her hand to signal the stopping of the tugs, she stops tugging but doesnt let go of my cuff, i look to see the other pair of blonde, red and black. I wave at em before looking back up at hang, but i spooked her since i guess she was looking at me also, "hey sunshine" i say with a quiet and soft voice before seeing her face soften as well, "heya shortstack" she says before looking back at the other two i do the same seeing them right in front of us now. I look to see the two shit heads have their little shit eating grins and knowing looks, i death glare Jaune, my pupils turning blood red and glowing with aura slightly, i see him gulp before stopping his antics. I turn to Yang and see her having ruby in a nuggy, i chuckle before looking at Jaune "sorry for that dude, i kinda got dragged away" i said with a awkward chuckle "you're good Bloody" he said with a carefree smile, we turn back to see yang and ruby arguing with a girl in all white. "And we can talk about cute boys like, tall, blond, and scraggly" she said pointing and referring to Jaune, i see ruby perk up happily "really!?" she said happily, "no" the white themed girl said curtly before leaving them, i see yang get red eyed. "You saying the other one aint cute!?" she said angrily though the white themed girl ignored her, i blush before shaking my head and chuckling "ok guys Ozpin is about to do his speech" i tell them before we all pay attention, we all listen in on what he has to say, though not gonna lie i didn't pay attention, shutting my conscious off and making my subconscious take over to wake me up.
I suddenly gain consciousness and blink a couple of times to get my vision back, I look around and see the others looking at me, Jaune looking with his usual golden retriever look and ruby and yang look worried "you good shortstack?" she says with a concerned voice, i nod "so let's go drop our stuff off now huh?" I say pointing at the exit, so we can go to the locker rooms. They all nod before we depart and deposit our stuff. Jaune and I walk out of the Jaune in his blue bunny onesie and me in my black sweatpants and dark red sleeveless shirt, we see yang and ruby off in one of the corners, though we notice ruby looking at us and waving us over, we both look at eachother and nod before making our way to them "heya yall" i wave before settling down beside yang getting comfortable in my sleeping bag, i lay down and look up to her and smile softly, she looks down at me and smiles also before poking my forehead out of nowhere. "What was that for ya goofball" I said chuckling, "cause I can, what are you gonna do about it Josh?" she said with a cheeky grin. I just smirk and close my eyes and relax, "what, you sleeping already?" she said with a smile "yeah probably, just don't have too much fun without me alright?" I said before shutting my conscious don't with my semblance and blacking out completely.
