What's this? An update close to a week from the last one? What is going on here? Well, to be perfectly honest, I've gotten quite a bit ahead of what I wanted chapter wise. BUT! This is not going to become a new update schedule. It is still going to be once a month or twice a month IF I feel up to it.

Besides...this will just make the climax of the next chapter all the sweeter in a month.

All six retreated to the dining room and kitchen area, Alexis still acting like a maid. Jaden frowned, vowing to talk to her about this when they were alone. A part of him was excited to see Alexis in the outfit, but he ruthlessly cut that down. The man had a sneaking suspicion on why she was doing this. Once he had Fonda, Jasmine, and Mindy sitting down, he went with Alexis into the kitchens.

The kitchen was big. Pots, pans, and various skillets hung from a rack over a stove island. Jaden walked over to a fridge, opening it up. Grabbing various food items, he spoke to Alexis.

"Cutting boards are to the right of the island. Knives in the left hand drawer. Be careful, they are Glady's knives."

Alexis's eyes went wide at that. But she quickly did so. Once the items were laid out, Jaden set some veggies and fruits on the nearby counter. He began washing them under lukewarm water.

"Lex, grab a large pot, fill it with water from the second sink." Jaden commanded, making her jump but hurry to fulfill his order.

She reached up, grabbed a large pot and began to fill it up. Once it was at the halfway point, she turned off the water and put it on the stove.

Seeing her do this out of the corner of his eye, he told her how to turn on the stove. Once she had, he directed Alexis to waited for the water to boil. Alexis nodded, watching the water.

"...Lex, is there a reason for the getup?" Jaden asked, chopping some onions up.

Alexis blushed before nodding. He didn't prompt her, but waited for to gather her thoughts.

"I...felt terrible for what I did during the whole Society episode. I wanted to make it up to you." She answered bashfully.

"Lex..." Jaden began.

"NO! I...I want to prove my love to you, Jaden." Alexis cut him off.

"And you have done that several times over, Alexis...you don't need to degrade yourself to prove your love to me..." Jaden said softly, turning to her.

Placing his knife down, he raised a hand. Placing it on her cheek, he caressed her tenderly. Alexis leaned into it, looking at him with her amber eyes.

"...but what if I wanted to...?" She whispered making Jaden freeze a little. "I...the guilt is so much Jaden..."

Jaden embraced her, stroking her hair. He kissed her forehead, looking at her directly.

"I don't love you for your body, Alexis...that is a bonus. You are a kind, generous and loving person. THAT is what I love about you." Jaden whispered to her, making her tear up. "We will get through this if we talk some more...and not...this."

The two stayed embraced, Alexis enjoying the warmth and heartbeat. She truly did not deserve this man before her. Still, she was not going to let this go.

"...but I look drop dead sexy in it don't I?" Alexis teased.

"...Fucking hell yes..." Jaden answered honestly.

Laughing, she turned back to the stove. Seeing the water now bubbling, she quickly asked for more directions. Jaden told her what she needed to do.

Dropping in some tomatos, she was to watch them until the skins peeled off. Once that was done, drain the water and take the skins off. He'd handle the chopping.

"No, let me learn. Please...teach me?"

Jaden looked at her before nodding. He stepped to the side. She quickly took up the knife, but froze. Jaden had come up behind her, pressing his chest against her back making her blush scarlet. Gently grabbing her wrists, he began to guide her.

"Okay, first chop the onions..."

The next few minutes passed in a blur. Alexis soon was browning the onions while Jaden was taking care of the meats. He explained that he was making a curry, the rice having been in the cooker before hand. She took out the tomatos, peeling off their skin.

"Jay, can you guide me again?" She asked, blushing a bit.

The man was all too happy to. Alexis melted into his arms as he guided her in cutting the tomatoes. A thought crossed her mind and pouted a little.

"Y-you know, Master Yuki...a-a good master tends to reward a maid for doing good work..." She stammered out.

"...oh, and what does my maid consider a good reward?" Jaden teased, his hot breath tickling her ears.

"...a-a little grope...?" Alexis asked demurely.

Jaden looked at his official girlfriend in shock. She wanted him to...? Asking if that was what she wanted, she gave a slight, but energetic nod. Jaden gulped hard, the sound even overtaking the roiling water. Slowly, his arms moved up her side. Her breathing got quick, her heartbeat thudding in her ears.

Soon, his hands reached the underside of her chest. He rested both orbs in his hands. Alexis tensed up, the memory of her night at the abandoned dorm roaring to life.

She took a deep calming breath. It wasn't them. Jaden was the one touching her chest. Jaden! Her boyfriend.

The thought calmed her down. Jaden hadn't moved when he felt her tense up. He had a inkling why. He slowly let go, making Alexis mewl in disappointment and ground into him. However, as she did so, she soon felt something VERY large poking her.

"Let's not get too overboard here, Lex..." Jaden said softly, pulling away from her and returning to his work. "Sides, you're about to burn the onions."

That woke up the Obelisk Queen.

"OH SHIT!" Alexis shouted, quickly returning to her job.

The ingredients were all added in and set to simmer in the pot. Jaden added some apples for some subtle flavoring. Alexis took the rice off the cooker and set it aside. As they were cleaning up, Jaden looked at her.

"So what do you want to do after you graduate, Lex?"

"Run the circuit. I know its mostly male dominated...but I'm counting on turning that around."

"Hey, its not as bad as you think. Some women do last a long time on the circuit. Helen Joy, Mackenzie...I know, I know what she did back at the GenX tourney, but I do admit she has skills. Let's not forget Mai of course."

Alexis smiled, placing the cutting board on a drying rack.

"Yeah. Being with you has reignited the passion I have for dueling. So I want to try the circuit. Should it not work out, I can become a model for Jasmine." Alexis said, smiling.

The two got the rice onto plates, followed by the curry next to it. The pair walked out, carrying plates. But before they reached the door, Alexis looked at Jaden.

"Jay...I want you to do something for me..."

She leaned in and whispered to him. His eyes blinked before looking at her.

"A-are you sure?" He asked.

"Yes. Very sure." She affirmed.

Jaden nodded, determination crossing his face.

Supper was a quiet affair for everyone. The thoughts of their hopes and dreams of the future were bright in their mind. It was going to be interesting to see what this year had in store for them.

Welp, there ya go. Now what could those girls have been asking Jaden to do? Well, you'll find out, next time.
