Ok to all who have been waiting for this I greatly apologize. The last 6 months have been absolutely crazy. However I am going to restart this story. I came back a few weeks ago and read over it and I don't even remember what I was doing here. There was so much that needed fixed so I'm just gonna completely change it. I've got a much better story path in mind and it's much more planned out. It'll still have the same characters and it'll mainly be focused in the Prime universe with some characters from G1 and Bayverse. I have a better feeling about this one and again if you read please review. I am new to writing and want to know some things yall like and don't like. As usual I don't do smut, lemons, or any yucky stuff just action, adventure, fun and fluff. I don't own Transformers or anything except my OC's.

Rain poured down in the Nevada dessert, as a large Peterbilt semi-truck soared down the road. Rain splattered across the metal surface. Every few seconds the windshield wipers activated, to give a few moments of visibility as the truck sped on down the empty highway. The large truck was colored red and blue with hints of silver throughout. On the front of the grill a silver emblem was engraved to look like the face of a robot. In the drivers seat sat a young girl of 17 years. She watched out the window as the world passed by, barely paying attention as the truck drove itself. She let out a deep sigh filled with sadness and grief, watching the window fog up. She drew a smiley face in the fog in an attempt to cheer herself up. All of a sudden a deep sultry voice broke the silence, filling the cab as if it came out of no where.

"We're nearly their" said the voice, calm and quiet.

"K" the girl said, almost too quiet to hear.

The truck turned it's rearview mirror so that it could see the girl better. Her boy-short brown hair was a mess, looking as if she had just woken up. She wore blue jeans and a Pink Floyd t-shirt, with a dark blue jacket. She sat back in the seat and pulled her phone out of her pocket. She plugged in her headphones and put one in her ear. The truck watched through the mirror as she pressed a few buttons on her phone then set it in her lap. A small hhmmm escaped the truck as he wondered what she was doing. Upon hearing this the girl lifted her head and raised an eyebrow. "Whats up" she asked.

"What is that chord you stuck in your ear" he asked in an attempt to make small talk.

"Headphones" she answered "for listening to music. Most humans use them so that others don't hear their music or so that they don't hear other people. They kind of help to block the world out. Do you like music Optimus?" she asked the truck.

Optimus thought about this for a second. "I do, though not all music appeals to my taste. Some can be too fast and even quite inappropriate." He thought back to some of the human music he had heard. He often enjoyed flipping through the radio channels when he was alone. He preferred the ones that played Nashville music, as Agent Fowler had once called it.

"What kind?" the girl asked, beginning to perk up a little. She pulled her headphone out of her ear so as to listen to their conversation better. "Are there any particular artists?"

"Hmmm" Optimus thought, trying to think back on any of the singers names he had heard. "I believe I often hear names such as Jason Aldean and Keith Urban. They seem to be very popular on the radio stations".

"Ah you're a country guy then" the girl sighed "I definitely like some country, especially Keith Urban. His song Days Go By is one of my favorites". The cab was silent for a few moments. The girl watched as rock and sand slowly turned to grassy fields with a few trees scattered here and there.

"What about you, Kylee" Optimus asked continuing their conversation "Is there any type of music or artist that you prefer?"

"Well I listen to a little bit of everything" she began "But I really like 80's and 90's Rock. Actually can I turn on the radio? Theres a radio station that plays some stuff I think you might like."

"Very well" Optimus answered as Kylee reached for the radio knob. She turned the dial listening for a certain station. When she found it a new song had just come on. Optimus had heard Miko's guitar many times and how she had referred to her music as "rock and roll". But when Kylee said she wanted to listen to rock he was not expecting what came on. A soft guitar came on with minimal lyrics.

"Oooh I love this song" Kylee said as she began to play an air guitar "it's called Free Bird". She continued pretending to play guitar as the song picked up speed. And for the first time in the last month Optimus saw her smile. It was small but it was a smile nonetheless. He knew what she had been through and if he could, he would have had a very large smile on his silver face. As the song faded out another came on, but Optimus shut off the radio as he noticed where they were.

"Hey what happened" Kylee asked. She looked out the windshield as she noticed the rain had begun to clear and they were approaching what looked like a military base, set at the base of the Sierra Mountains. "Whoa" she whispered. As they pulled up to the gate Kylee pulled out the special I.D. card Agent Fowler had given her. After having the guard check it the gate swung open and Optimus drove inside. The base seemed to be made up of mainly old hangars. Optimus pulled to a stop and Kylee swung open the door to hop out. She pulled her hood over her head and opened the back door to grab her backpack and guitar case. She backed up and watched as Optimus began to shift and change, transforming into his robotic form. Kylee had seen it several times now and it was still amazing. Then she noticed. Not only were there humans here but other Cybertronians as well. All of a sudden a tall older man walked up to them. He was tall and slim, wearing the usual camo uniform.

"You must be Kylee" the soldier greeted, as he held his hand out for a shake " Agent William Lennox." Kylee shook his hand as he introduced himself. "Come on" he said turning to walk toward the nearest hangar "Let's get out of the rain".

Kylee followed Agent Lennox into the hangar, glancing back to make sure Optimus was still following. She looked around the room, realizing it was some kind of cafeteria. The roof was built at least ten feet above Optimus head and was absolutely massive. On one side was a long buffet style line with tons of food for the guards and residents as well as dozens of metal tables with benches. On the other side there were huge stacks of glowing blue cubes that Kylee assumed were filled with energon, this side was also rather empty with plenty of space for the bots to sit and enjoy their dinner. "Find a good spot" said Lennox "You can set your stuff down and grab some food. I'll catch you up on any questions you might have". Kylee looked around noticing Optimus had gone off to join some of his friends. She then realized that she still didn't know anyone here other than Optimus and after her long journey she didn't really feel like wondering around on her own. "Optimus" she called, running after him "is it alright if I stay with you?"

"Of course" he answered, as he sat down with a cube of energon. Kylee set her belongings down next to him and went fix a plate. She came back and sat down in front of Optimus, noticing a few bots had gathered around him. She suddenly felt very uncomfortable as several pairs of eyes turned to her.

"Friends" Optimus began "I would like to introduce you to Kylee". Kylee waved shyly as she suddenly noticed how small she was compared to the giant alien robots surrounding her. "Kylee, I would like to introduce to you Bulkhead, Hound, Ratchet, Ironhide, and Bumblebee" He pointed to each of them in turn.

"Hi there" said Bumblebee "We've all been super excited to meet you, it's not everyday a new human joins us." Kylee smiled. She already liked Bumblebee. He seemed fun and if he were human perhaps about her age, maybe a few years older. She had been told he was one of the younger bots.

"How was your trip" Asked the large green one she remembered to be Bulkhead.

"It was ok I guess" she said between bites of mashed potatoes "I mostly slept".

"This one seems quiet" Ratchet stated "I guess she's ok". Kylee giggled, from what she had been told Ratchet was not one for loud noise and often complained about the humans, even though he had chosen to stay on earth after the war.

"Just wait till I settle down and you get to know me" she replied "I have ADHD so I'm kind of all over the place".

"Oh joy" Ratchet sighed with a grim look on his face. Kylee looked back at Bumblebee who seemed like he wanted to ask a question.

"Have you chosen your guardian yet?" he finally asked. Kylee gave him a look of surprise, wondering what he meant. Bee, seeing the confusion in her face looked to Optimus at the same time Kylee did. She hadn't been told anything about a guardian.

"You're a part of the guardian program" Lennox stated, joining into the conversation "You will get to choose your own personal guardian out of several autobots and even a good few excons. This guardian will be your personal protector and probably your best friend so take your time in deciding." Kylee looked up to Optimus. She had become quite comfortable around him as of late and he had become almost like a father figure to her.

"what about Optimus" she asked "can he be my guardian?"

"Unfortunately" answered Lennox "Prime is not allowed to be a guardian, mainly because he's got a lot of his own duties to fulfill around here and sometimes even on Cybertron. He's way too busy to have a charge." Kylee looked down at her plate, she had been very hopeful of getting Optimus as a guardian.

"However" Optimus intervened "I will always be here for you to talk to and if you ever need anything you can come straight to me". Kylee cheered up a little, maybe it would be fun to meet some other bots. She finished her dinner and stood up. Lennox picked up her bag and guitar.

"Come on" he said, heading out of the cafeteria "I'll show you where your sleepin". They walked out to the base and for the first time Kylee got a good look at it. The rain had stopped and the sky had cleared. The base was made up of several hangars, some of which had been filled with cybertronian technology. There were also several smaller buildings that looked more like houses, though they were still being built.

"What are those" Kylee asked, pointing to the half built buildings.

"Those" said Lennox "are some new homes being built. This base was abandoned till about a year ago. The government decided to use it as a safe place to house the transformers who decide to stay here and any human who comes into contact with cybertronians that might be in danger because of it, kind of like you. Those houses will have a special underground chamber for each human's guardian. But those are still a work in progress so for now we have special barracks rooms." He led Kylee down the dirt road to a five story building with lots of windows. They walked in to see a small lobby set up with a tv and video game consoles to look like a living room. They entered an elevator that took them to the third floor. Lennox led her down several halls to a door marked 231. He pulled a key out of his camo cargo pants and handed it to Kylee. She stepped forward to unlock the door, but before she could even insert the key the door opened. There stood a young woman maybe a year or two older than her. She had short blonde hair just barely longer than Kylee's. She was a few inches taller and a little thinner. She wore a bright yellow t-shirt underneath a set of denim overalls.

"EEEEEEEE" she squealed grabbing Kylee's hand and shaking it "you must be my new room mate." Kylee looked to Lennox almost a bit scared.

"Kylee this is Halo" he said, as the girl began bouncing in the door way "don't worry, once you get settled in she'll calm down. And I'm sure you'll perk up some too." They walked in to see a decent sized room. There were two small bean bag chairs in front of a small tv with a Playstation 4 hooked up to it. In one corner was a small doorway to Halo's bedroom. Kylee walked through a small doorway on the opposite side of the room to see her own bedroom. There was a twin size bed in the furthest corner, with white sheets and a blue blanket as well as a few pillows. At the end of the bed sat a small dresser for her clothes. Some of her old belongings had already been moved into the room, still in cardboard boxes. Lennox set her bag and guitar on her bed.

"Alright kid" he said "get settled, get some rest , tomorrow you'll be introduced to the rest of the base. The bots have decided that the best way to choose a partner is to get to know them so they're gonna have a sort of field day tomorrow, I dunno it was Bee's idea." She walked over to the window on the farthest wall and looked out into the courtyard. Several bots were out, some were chatting some were playing with human partners.

"Hey" said Halo, who now seemed much calmer "I can show you where the bathrooms are if you wanna get washed up, though you might wanna bring some flip flops, the shower floors are kinda gross."

"Ok" Kylee shrugged. She dug through a few of the boxes but found no sandals. She turned around to see Halo holding a clean folded towel and a new pair of sandals.

"Thought you might need some" she handed them to Kylee and walked out. Kylee grabbed some pajamas out of her bag and followed Halo. As they cleaned up Halo asked a few questions about where Kylee had come from, how she had met Optimus Prime, and what had happened to her. Some questions she refused to answer, though others she answered without a problem. She had come all the way from North Carolina, and had met Optimus through her father's involvement with the government. In turn Halo told her story, how she had randomly woken up one day and didn't know who she was. She had been told that she'd been rescued from M.E.C.H. as they had tried to experiment on her with cybertronian technology. All they knew of her was her name and even her name couldn't bring up any government records. After they finally decided to go to sleep, Kylee lay down in her new bed with a sigh of relief. Halo sure liked to talk, but it had taken a lot to hold back tears upon hearing the name of M.E.C.H., the ones responsible for all her pain. She stood up and dug through one of the boxes till she found a white blanket covered in little dinosaurs. It was the softest blanket she had ever felt and had belonged to her baby brother. She curled up into the blanket as she lay down and cried, just a little bit as she had held it in all day. After a few minutes, she took a deep breath and closed her eyes. But before she could fall asleep, the sound of a loud engine roared in the courtyard below. She stood up and looked out her window. It was now dark and a bright red Aston Martin slowed to a stop in the middle of the yard. He transformed into a rather small bot, about the size of Bumblebee. The tires on his back spun as he stood, and he looked around as if making sure nobody was watching. His glowing red eyes landed on Kylee, and a look of confusion and interest came upon his face. She waved politely and was about to open the window when he walked off into the nearest hangar. She hadn't seen him among the other bots in the cafeteria earlier. Perhaps he was returning from a mission.

Without a second thought she lay back down and this time, still wrapped in the dinosaur blanket, she fell asleep.

So what do yall think? I think it turned out way better than the last one. I'll still keep the old story up as more of a random one shot but I think I'm gonna mainly focus on this story. I'll keep the other on as the old name and just change this one. Love yall
