For a reminder, previously: Cien is missing. Selina has returned. Sasha was comatose and finally awoke. But Selina escaped once she realized her ruse was up.

Now... They have to find the real Cien.

Part 1 Chapter 1- In Loving Memory

Troy stared in shock at the scene before him. He was standing in the middle of a hospital room on Chandrila. The last place he saw his father. His real father, Levaan. And the scene before him was set to that mournful day. He had no idea how he got here or why he was seeing this now. It wasn't the anniversary of that day. He rushed over and tried to leave the room to see if it would make the memory go away. But the door wouldn't budge. He was locked in. Lowering his head to his chest, Troy took a shaky breath as he slowly looked back towards the room.

It was a private room with a singular bed and few chairs around it. His Mom was sitting beside his dad, holding his hand and talking quietly to him. She looked so tired and exhausted from endless days of sitting in this very room by her dying husband's side. Troy's younger brother Rami, who was about seven at the time, was sitting in the chair beside a younger looking Troy, who was about ten years old. The two young boys were playing a quiet game on the datapad before them.

His father, however, looked sickly. His skin was so pale white that the sheets around him had more color. His hair that used to be so nicely groomed was gone. His body that used to be so well built that he looked like an athlete was skin and bones now. Even after all these years since his passing, this image of his father was one that still scared him. The way his father always looked before he got sick was what Troy pictured when he thought back. But this… was always burned into Troy's memory.

Troy could still remember it all like it was yesterday. His father was diagnosed with a terminal illness when Troy was only eight. The doctors believed that it wasn't life threatening at the time. So he went through treatments for a whole year to try and battle it. And it worked. He was illness free for several months, almost another year, until one day it came back with avengence. This time his chances of survival were twenty percent instead of the sixty percent they were told the first time around. He got treatment again to try and get it to go away for good, but it didn't work. That horrible disease won the battle and two months after restarting treatments he passed away.

On this day. In this room. Trovon Sulam lost his father to a horrible illness after the doctors did everything they could to save him. And Troy was now stuck reliving his death day on repeat in this hell he was thrust into. This nightmare was unlike any he had before and he wished it would end. And it repeated itself over and over and over again. Starting at the beginning when everything seemed fine to his father giving his final words to the family to his dad's last breath followed by a river of tears. He hated watching his mother cry as her husband died before her eyes. He hated the feeling of watching his little brother scream out in confusion as to why Daddy wasn't waking up. And he hated the feeling that he was now without a father and he didn't know what to do. All of it broke his heart and his tears never stopped falling.

Even now, tears fell from Troy's eyes as he watched his father die for the twelfth time since he arrived in this room. He had struggled to fight the tears the first couple times, but after the fourth Troy couldn't take it anymore. He tried to turn away, to blot out the screams and cries, but they echoed through the space even as he tried to plug his ears. After the thirteenth time, he finally collapsed to his knees at the foot of his father's bed as tears streamed from his eyes.

"I'm sorry Dad," Troy wept. "I feel like I've tried to do everything you asked of me. I helped Mom as best I could, but she got involved in the war and brought the Empire to an end. I should've been there to protect her like I promised you I would, but she wanted me to stay with Grandma and Rami." He sniffed. "And I looked after Rami like I said I would, but he and I have become distant since I left for school. Especially now that I'm with Mom and Scamp and the 19th. I feel like I failed you, and I'm sorry." He sniffed again. "I miss you, Dad. I wish you were here. I wish you were still here."

"Lieutenant Sulam?" A woman's voice called out, but he didn't respond. His mother was a Lieutenant all those years ago. It was most likely a nurse calling for her. "Lieutenant?" The voice called again. "Troy?"

That caught his attention. The voice wasn't calling for his Mom, but for him. He looked up from where he wept and around for the origin of the voice, but it was just him and his family alone in this room. He couldn't see anyone else.

"Hello?" Troy called back, hiccupping from the crying.

From the doorway, Jedi Knight Sasha Monroe-Zeb appeared as if she had been in the hall outside the room. Troy was startled to see her and scrambled to his feet. She looked at him then at the scene. She frowned before looking at him again. "Are you alright?" She asked quietly.

"I… how…" Troy struggled to say as he wiped his face. "How are you here?"

"It's a long story," Sasha said, dismissively. "Right now, I'm just here to get you out."

"Out?" Troy asked, confused. "You mean from this dream?"

"It's not exactly a dream, but yes," Sasha answered as best she could. "Your family and the others are waiting for you to wake up. They're worried." She noticed the tears still on his face. "Are you okay?"

"Not exactly," Troy admitted as he looked down. "I haven't seen him in years. So this is… hard to see again."

"I understand," Sasha said, quietly. She wasn't sure what else to say to help comfort him. "We can go in a bit if you want a few more minutes." She finally settled on.

Troy looked back over to his dad. "No it's okay. We can go. I just…" He swallowed a large lump in his throat. "I just wish he was still here. I mean I love Scamp, but he's not my Dad. I mean he is my Dad, but… he's not him." He quickly corrected himself then gestured over to the bed. "But I just wish he was here so he could see everything." He tried to hold back more tears.

"I never met my parents," Sasha spoke up after a moment. That stunned Troy as he looked at her. "But I understand how you feel. There are times where I wish my parents were here. Like when I was pregnant there were plenty of moments where I just wanted my Mom to be there to help me through all of that. So I get it. But your father is still with you. He's just here," she pointed to her head, "and here." Then she pointed at her heart.

"I know," Troy nodded solemnly. "Mom has said that a lot too. But seeing him again like this after all of these years makes me realize how much I miss him. And how much pictures and holovids are just not enough sometimes." He sniffed. "I just wish I could see him the way he was before he got sick. Just one more time."

Sasha looked at Troy then over to Mr. Sulam. She then held her hand out to Troy. "Well, why not?" She suggested lightly.

"Why… not… what?" Troy asked, confused, looking at her.

"Why can you not see him like that one more time?" Sasha clarified. "I can help with that, if you'd allow me."

"You can? How?" Troy asked, incredulously.

"This space we are in is controlled by the Force," Sasha explained as simply as she could. "I can use it to pull up memories, especially the good ones."

"Really?" Troy asked, almost eagerly. "So you could show me my dad from before he got sick?" Sasha nodded. "Then can you please do it?"

"Alright, hang on," Sasha said as she waved her hand around them.

The scene disappeared until they were standing in the middle of darkness with no sense of direction around them. Then after a few moments, the space around them changed again. This time they were standing on a lake side on what looked like the planet of Naboo. Before them was the Sulam family. The younger Troy looked to be about seven, his brother Rami about five, and his parents looked happy and healthy. His dad was playing catch with him and his brother as they pretended to be pro-field ball players. Rami caught the ball and ran a little awkwardly down the sandy beach.

"Oh no! He's going to score!" His dad exclaimed, feigning shock. "Quick! After him!"

Troy and his dad chased after Rami, but almost in slow motion. Then they both dove for the younger Sulam boy and narrowly missed him as he scored.

"Yeah! I win!" Rami cheered as he held the ball high in the sky.

"Darn, I guess you did, kiddo," dad said as he got up from the sand and gathered Rami up into his arms. "And winners get victory tickles." He started tickling the little boy and Rami burst into a fit of giggles.

Younger Troy came over to them, laughing too. "I want victory tickles too!"

"Of course! How could I forget?" Dad said laughing as he scooped up Troy and held both boys to his chest, causing them to giggle loudly.

Older Troy stood beside Sasha watching this play out and found himself smiling as new fresh tears fell down his face. He got choked up as he watched the memory, fondly.

"Thank you," Troy whispered. "This means a lot."

"Of course," Sasha said, nodding as she smiled at the cute scene before them.

"We can go now," Troy said, happily after another moment as he reached up and wiped his face.

"Alright, give me your hand," Sasha said as she held her hand out to him again.

Troy nodded and continued to watch the scene. He then grabbed Sasha's hand and in a flash, everything became black again.

Troy awoke with a gasp. He looked around in a panic to see that he was lying in one of the medbay beds. The lights were back on and it sounded like the ship was back up and running again. He could hear many other voices around him as his vision cleared. He glanced to the side and found Knight Monroe was right beside him, holding his hand. She looked like she just woke up too and positively exhausted as she let go of his hand.

"Are you okay?" She asked tiredly as she leaned heavily against the table beside his bed.

"I'm alright," Troy responded as he sat up. He faltered slightly as his vision spun. That's when he noticed the horrible pounding in the back of his head. "Ugh, why does my head hurt?"

"You seemed to have gotten hit on the back of the head," Sasha informed him. "It was bleeding, but it wasn't that bad of a cut. One of the medics already saw to it."

Troy reached up and touched the back of his head. There was a bandage wrapped around his head. He then dropped his hand and looked at her. "Are you okay? You look exhausted."

"I'll be fine," Sasha said, dismissively. "I just need to rest. I'm just glad you're alright, though."

"How did I get here?" Troy asked, gesturing to the bed. "The last thing I remember was…" He paused for a moment trying to remember. Then it all came flooding back to him. "Kriff, my Marines. Are they alright? Where are they?" He asked, frantically as he looked around the room.

"They're fine," Sasha assured him. "I helped them out of the mindspace a while ago. Kelce dismissed them to go rest in their quarters. It seems the ship being shut down caused a bit of a panic and a decent number of people got hurt. Nothing serious, just a lot of minor things." She informed him.

Troy relaxed at that. "Thank you for helping them," he said, grateful. "And me too. What was that exactly?"

"It's a Force thing that myself and Cien can do," Sasha explained as best she could. "Selina found a way to use it and that's how she took you and your men out. Along with a few other crew members along the way."

"Where is she?" Troy asked, furrowing his brow.

"She got away," Sasha said, annoyed.

Troy groaned at that as he ran a hand down his face. He should have done a better job guarding Selina, and now she was gone. He felt a shade of guilt and frustration wash over him as he tried to gather his thoughts. Before he could say anything more, the curtain around his bed was pulled open and his mother stood there, worriedly. Behind her was Scamp and Jedi Knight Viran Zeb.

His mom looked at him sternly for a moment before her face softened. "Are you okay Trovon?" She asked as she pushed her way to the side of his bed, opposite Sasha.

"Yeah, I'm alright," Troy assured her. "Just a headache. Are you okay?"

"I am now kiddo." His mom replied as she put a hand on his shoulder and gently squeezed. "Gave me a bit of a scare there when they told me you were down." She said, and he could see the glint in her eye that it was a bit of an understatement.

Troy looked her in the eyes and frowned. "I'm sorry that I scared you, Mom, but I'm alright. I promise." He then looked to Sasha. "Knight Monroe, Sasha, saved me from the…" He tried to remember the word she had used. "What did you call it?"

"The mindspace," Sasha said, tiredly as Viran wrapped an arm around her to help keep her standing as it obviously her fatigue from everything was weighing heavily on her.

"You alright?" Scamp asked her from across the bed with a furrowed brow.

"Yeah, just exhausted," Sasha said, nodding lightly. "Using the mindspace several times in a row after a brawl took it out of me. I just need to rest then I'll be okay."

"Then go rest." Naderia Sulam said to Sasha in the tone of a concerned mother rather than an Admiral's order. "You've more than done your part today, kid."

Sasha nodded. "Don't need to tell me twice," she said exhausted as Viran helped her towards the curtain. She limped alongside him.

"Thank you again, Sasha," Troy said, grateful.

"Of course," Sasha said, shooting a smirk back at him.

Viran then drew the curtain back for them to step out.

Shades was walking along talking to Wynnie beside her. The younger woman was nursing an arm with a burnt sleeve exposing a lightly burned forearm underneath. "I still don't see why you thought trying to overload a blaster to blow out the, uh… Oh hey guys." She stopped as she saw the curtain parted.

Wynnie also came to a stop, seeing the Xivs and the Admiral and… "Hi Roy. I mean Troy." She said quickly. Shades shot her a confused glance.

"Uh, hi Wynnie," Troy said, surprised to see her then furrowing his brows as he glanced at her arm. "Are you okay?"

"Oh, yeah," Wynnie replied in a higher pitched voice and speaking faster than usual. "I uh, just uh, was trying to, you know -" She gulped.

Shades stepped in. "We were trapped in the shooting range and she tried using an overloaded power pack from her new blaster to blow the door open."

Sasha and Viran looked at her with raised eyebrows, stunned. Troy also looked surprised, but there was still a hint of worry in his expression.

Scamp snorted slightly. "Not a wise move, Wynnie. You should be glad only your arm got singed. I knew a few of my Clone brothers did that once and they were in a lot worse shape," he admonished lightly.

"I think she learned her lesson." Shades said, glancing at her young friend.

"Ahehe yup." Wynnie said before she clapped her hand to her face in embarrassment.

Shades threw an incredulous look at her. "Come on, let's go see if we can find a medic." She said, directing Wynnie away with a wave back at the others.

Everyone watched them go. Scamp, the Admiral, Sasha and Viran all shared the same confused yet bemused look on their faces for Wynnie's strange behavior. Troy, however, tried not to frown as he was worried for Wynnie. She was acting so strangely and a part of him wondered if it had anything to do with him. The other part wondered if it was because of something else entirely. Either way, he watched her go, wishing he could get up from the bed and make sure she was okay. But not here with his Mom and Scamp watching.
