"Chelsea, that dinner was delicious."

"I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was a little worried that it would be a huge fail after your perfect pasta."

Adam flashed a smile. "My perfect pasta, very funny."

"That's what it was. You did such a good job."

"Again, I'm happy you enjoyed it."

"I enjoyed it so much, it inspired me to cook for you. To be honest, even if it wasn't good, I would have done this for you. The fact that you even took the time to do that, was just so nice. But…now it is time for dessert."

Adam wasn't expecting that. "Oh, dessert too?"

She smiled. "Yep."

She left briefly and returned with two plates of chocolate cake.

She placed his plate down in front of him. "Happy Birthday."

He laughed. "You remembered."

She sat down. "How could I forget? This is to make up for the cake I ruined."

"Chelsea, you didn't have to do that. It was always the thought that counted."

"You can't taste a thought. But go ahead, I'm waiting, taste it."

"Ok." He tasted the cake.

She just sat there watching him chew, waiting for a response.

He nodded. "I mean…did you make up for the other cake or what."

"You like it?"

"Chelsea, it tastes amazing."

"You aren't lying are you?"

"No, I'm not. And I really appreciate you doing all of this for me."

"I told you it was payback. You spent a lot of time on that dinner you made for me. And having my favorite cheesecake flown in, that was so nice of you. I just had to do something that showed how appreciative I was. The fact that you actually took the time to make me dinner, was such a nice gesture. You could have ordered food from any restaurant in Genoa City, but you chose to make it yourself. That said a lot, Adam."

"That was the point. Chelsea, I just wanted to make some happy memories with you, while also reminding you of the good times we had, before everything went to shit."

"You mean the last time we were together?"

He took a sip of wine. "Yes. You know we never really talk about what happened?"

"Because we hardly ever talked. Before Conner had his issues, we just really only discussed him, and the rest…we just kept polite."

"It was always there though. I know you felt it. I did."

"Of course I felt it, Adam, but for Conner's sake I ignored it. We had developed such a great system of co-parenting, I didn't want to ruin that."

"Me either."

Chelsea continued. "So, I just tried to forget it as best I could, but then Conner's issues forced us to spend more time together, which led to Baltimore happening, which led to us blowing up our lives."

Adam did not want to talk about that. "Yeah, but we can't change any of that. We have spent the last seven or eight months beating ourselves up. Let's not start that up again."

"You're right and it didn't change a thing."

"Nope, but I am so happy you decided to move to the ranch. I know it wasn't the easiest decision."

"It wasn't, but I can't lie, I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would."

"Is it the staff?"

She grinned. "Yes. I mean, they come here, clean, and do the laundry. They will even cook."

He laughed. "Not hard to get used to."

She shook her head. "Not at all."

"But, Chelsea, you have been able to afford a maid for years. You are a very successful designer and even if you were not, I would have given you anything you wanted."

"I know, I just felt like I had to do everything or I was a bad mother."

"You could never be that. Do you feel like a bad mother now?"

"Absolutely not. I feel like a rested mother. I think all mothers across the world should have maids."

He laughed.

After they finished, Adam insisted on cleaning up.

She cooked, so he thought it would only be right if he cleaned.

While he was busy cleaning, she went off to call Conner.

He was staying the night at Victor and Nikki's with Johnny.

She wanted to talk to him before he went to bed.

She had to go to her room to do that because that's where she left her cell phone…

After cleaning up the kitchen, Adam walked back into the living room and sat down on the sofa.

He was supposed to be having a nightcap with Chelsea.

He waited for almost an hour but she never returned.

He started to get a little worried, so he decided to go make sure she was ok….

He knocked on her room door but received no answer.

He wouldn't normally just walk in, but what if something was wrong?

He knew how she felt about boundaries and all of that, but this could be an emergency.

He turned the knob and to his delight it wasn't locked.

He walked in and found her lying across the bed.

She had fallen asleep with her cell phone still in her hand.

He was happy she was ok, but a little disappointed, because he was looking forward to spending more time with her.

She was obviously exhausted from all of the cooking.

He was not going to wake her up.

He left and closed the door behind him.

He went back into the living room, poured himself a drink, and headed to his room to shower…..

Chelsea stretched and opened her eyes.

She looked at the time.

She had fallen asleep.

She felt horrible because she told Adam that she was coming back for a nightcap.

That was three hours ago.

He was probably in bed by now.

She would have to make it up to him.

She got up and took a shower.

She slipped on a nightshirt and got back in bed.

She found a true crime show and watched an episode.

After it went off, she started thinking about how good that cake was.

She wanted some more.

She pulled her hair up into a top knot bun, slipped on her robe, and headed to the kitchen.

Chelsea didn't even bother turning on the light in the kitchen.

She could still see thanks to the nightlight.

She grabbed a plate, a knife, and a fork.

She made a beeline for the cake.

She was leaning up against the counter eating cake, in the almost dark, when Adam walked in.

He was shocked to see her standing there. "You're up."

"I'm so sorry, Adam. I am so sorry. I guess I was tired. When I woke up, and realized what happened, I felt horrible."

"You obviously needed the rest, and by the looks of it, more cake."

She laughed. "I couldn't stop thinking about it."

She continued to eat the cake. "Why are you up?"

"I couldn't sleep. I'm happy I couldn't because here you are, awake too."

"How long did you wait? And when did you realize I had fallen asleep?"

"To answer your first question, it was almost an hour. I didn't realize you had fallen asleep until I walked into your room."

That was news to her. "You came to my room?"

"Yes, I wanted to respect your…boundaries but I was worried about you when you didn't return."

"And you found me sleeping. I know you were disappointed."

He smiled. "Yeah, but I'm happy now."

"Adam, I'm so rude, would you like some cake?"

"Are you going to feed it to me?"

"If you don't mind sharing a fork? I could also cut you a piece."

"Chelsea, we have shared DNA, we can share a fork."

She laughed. "You didn't have to say it like that."

"It's the truth. Our shared DNA is at my father's right now."

She laughed.

She fed him some of her cake and then ate some more herself.

He watched her. "You are destroying that cake."

"It is so good. Adam, can you believe we are standing here eating cake in the dark, in a house we are actually living in together? This is so crazy. I could have never imagined this a year ago."

"Life is funny."

Chelsea agreed. "Life is hilarious. I mean, we are living on Victor's compound."

He started laughing. "I guess it would be considered a compound? At least it isn't a cult?"

"I mean…it might be." She started laughing. "I'm just kidding. I am just kidding. I don't think that."

"So, you think I'm a part of the Newman cult? Where would I rank in the cult?"

"I don't know, Adam. Lieutenant? Do cults have lieutenants? I'm just joking. I promise you, I am just joking. I don't know anything about cults."

He smiled. "No, you are not."

He pointed. "You have icing on the corners of your mouth."

She stuck her tongue out and tried to lick it. "Did I get it?"

"No, let me help you out."

He reached over and took his thumb and wiped it off.

He put his thumb in his mouth and licked the icing off.

She thanked him and grinned. "I don't know what I would have done without you. Thank you."

"I didn't get it all."

She shrugged. "Don't worry about it, I'll get a napkin."

"Let me try again."

She giggled. "You are really serious about that icing. I told you it's not important."

Adam was about to do something that he had been wanting to do for a while now.

He had no idea how she was going to react.

He just had to do it.

He leaned in and kissed her.

Chelsea thought she had imagined it because it was so quick.

Adam waited for a reaction, which he assumed would include her lecturing him about boundaries, which would then lead to her telling him that the reason she is actually living there is because of Conner and not him, but she didn't say anything.

She just stared at him.

His eyes fell back on her lips.

OK, she didn't shut him down.

He decided to try his luck again, because he was a gambling man.

He leaned in and pressed his lips softly against hers.

This time, to his surprise, she kissed him back.

They were cautiously moving their lips against each other's.

He pulled her top lip into his mouth and sucked gently, while she did the same to his bottom lip.

The whole time their eyes are on each other.

Maybe waiting to see who would stop this before it got out of control?

Adam removed the plate from her hands and placed it down on the counter along with the fork.

He pulled her closer, their eyes closed, and the kiss deepened.

Her hand slipped up the nape of his neck and the kiss continued to grow in intensity.

It grew like a wildfire and now they are devouring each other.

Adam pulled the belt on her robe.

He lifted up her nightshirt and started palming her bare breast.

He broke the kiss, leaned down, yanked up her shirt, and pulled a nipple into his mouth, while he teased the other one with his thumb and index fingers.

She bit her lip and moaned.

He didn't stop there, he made a pathway down her body, until he ended up on his knees on the kitchen floor.

It happened so quickly.

One minute they were kissing, the next he was on his knees.

She didn't have time to think about what was transpiring, because it was already happening.

He kissed her inner thigh and placed one of her legs on his shoulder.

He ran his tongue down the center of her lace panties.

Her panties were so thin she felt every single thing he was doing.

She leaned up against the counter and inhaled.

Chelsea knew she needed to put a stop to this.

They were supposed to be respecting each other's boundaries.

This was definitely overstepping them.

She had only been living with him for a few short weeks and now he was on his knees with his head buried in between her legs in the kitchen of all places.

He kept running his tongue up and down her, stopping to suck gently on her pearl through her panties.

She moaned again.

Ok, if she was going to stop this, she needed to stop it now.

She felt him move her panties to the side and his tongue on her skin.

She moaned. "Mmmm…"

Ok, she really needed to tell him to stop.

This was really getting out of control.

He took his tongue and pushed it inside her, while flicking his thumb gently against her button.

Chelsea grabbed a handful of his hair and her eyes rolled in the back of her head.

Maybe she would tell him to stop in a few more minutes?

He removed his tongue and clamped his mouth over her pearl, while sweeping his tongue against it.

She let out an even louder moan.

Yes, a few more minutes and she would put a stop to it, because Adam had really overstepped her boundaries.

He pushed two fingers inside of her.

She yelled. "Oh, God!"

She was so wet that the sounds filled the quiet kitchen.

Adam was so focused on the end goal, he had no idea of the battle that was going on in Chelsea's head.

Ultimately, it didn't matter what battle was going on in her head, Adam was winning the battle going on with her body.

Chelsea threw her head back and moaned loudly as she exploded on his fingers.

He withdrew his fingers and licked her slowly as she came down from her high.

He removed her leg from his shoulder and started kissing her all over legs, then her stomach before standing up.

He pulled her into a deep kiss.

He obviously was not done and wanted to take things even further.

She could tell that by the way he was kissing her.

She pulled away. "Wait, Adam, wait. What are we doing?"

"Making happy memories."

She did not think that was funny. "Stop joking, I'm serious."

"I'm serious too."

"I just came down here to eat cake. What was all of that?"

"I didn't plan on that happening. I think things may have gotten out of control."

"You think?"

"Chelsea, I am not lying. I really didn't plan on any of this happening. I was waiting for you to stop me."

"Adam Newman, are you blaming me?"

"No, I'm not blaming you."

She buried her face into her hands. "How much have you had to drink?"

"This is not Baltimore, I'm not drunk."

She looked up at him.

He was just staring at her.

Her heart was racing and the tension was thick.

She ran her hand down her face. "I don't even know how it all started. I was just standing here eating cake."

"You got icing on your mouth and I wanted to help you get it off."

She shook her head. "You are just so funny. Newsflash, I didn't get any inside my panties."

"I had to check."

She cocked her head to the side. "The jokes just keep coming. Adam Newman, the comedian, who knew?"

"Chelsea, I'm going to be honest. I did not plan that, but I want to continue it. We can either take it to your room or mine."

"Adam, what has gotten into you?"

"I'm just trying to create happy memories with you. That didn't make you happy?"

"I mean…it didn't make me sad. It was just unexpected."

He laughed. "Look, Chelsea, if you don't want to take things any further, that's fine. I've had fun."

"I can tell."

He chuckled. "You must admit you had a little fun too."

"I'm not admitting to anything."

"You don't have to. I could tell. Let's just go back to our rooms and just think about things. Well, you go back to your room and think about things, because my mind is made up."

She questioned him. "You want to have sex?"

He didn't deny it. "Very badly."

"I don't know, Adam. This feels like a bad idea."

"We are adults and we are single. Free to do whatever we want. How long has it been since you have been with somebody?"

"It has been a long time."

"For me too. Look, you go to your room and think about it, or you can just come straight to mine."

She threw up her hand. "No, I'm going to my room."

They walked out of the kitchen.

Adam watched her walk in the opposite direction because their rooms were on opposite wings of the house…..

Chelsea is on her way to her room.

She stopped just before reaching it.

Did she really want to do this?

This wasn't Baltimore.

They couldn't blame it on the alcohol.

They were going into this with eyes wide open or in her case legs wide open.

It didn't help that she had not had sex since last July, which happened to be the night she cheated with Adam.

She never could bring herself to sleep with Billy after that.

And then there was the whole thing with Adam, did she want to start that up again?

Adam walked into his room and sat down on his bed.

He had been sitting for about ten minutes when he heard his door open.

Chelsea walked in and closed the door behind her.

She saw him sitting on the bed. "You were waiting on me."

"I was. I knew you were coming. But…what made you decide to come?"

"I wrestled with it, Adam. I really did. I almost made it to my room, but I stopped just before getting there. And I did some thinking, and the next thing I knew I was on my way here."

"Well, I'm glad you came."

She looked around.

That was her first time in his room.

He noticed her looking around. "This is your first time in my room."

"Yeah, you know that whole boundaries thing kept me away."

"Well, that's more your thing than mine."

She smiled. "It wasn't when I ate your chips."

He laughed.

She continued to look around. "And your first time in my room was a few hours ago. We've had a couple of firsts tonight."

He didn't say anything.

He was just staring at her.

Her eyes fell on him.

"Chelsea, if you are unsure, we really shouldn't go any further."

"I wouldn't be here if I wasn't sure, Adam. I have no idea where this is going to lead, but we can have fun tonight. It has been a long time for me."

He smirked. "So, you are using me?"

"Aren't you using me?"

"No, because that would mean you could be anybody, but I don't want just anybody. I want you. But if you want to use me, use me. I'll take it. So, what now Miss Lawson? How would you like to use me?"

"Getting right to it, but I mean you have been doing that all night."

"Is there any other way? I'm not going to lie to you, I've been wanting you for a very long time. That's why things got so out of control in the kitchen."

That was news to her. "Really? How long?"

"I'll never tell."

She grinned. "Maybe that is a good thing? I might not want to know."

"I don't think you would."

She took a deep breath and blew it out.

Adam questioned her. "Are you nervous?"

"Of course not, I feel comfortable with you. I just hope we don't regret this."

"We won't if we do it right."

She laughed. "That was never the problem with us. You know that whole thing that happened in the kitchen is the reason I'm here. How am I supposed to just go back to sleep after that?"

"So, I made you want more?"

"Basically. You brought me out of hibernation. Well, you snatched me out of hibernation."

He stood up and walked towards her. "Yay me."

He leaned down and kissed her.

He was wearing a t- shirt and sweatpants.

She slipped her hand inside his pants.

He groaned.

She broke the kiss. "I guess I should check you for icing and…well, you know how much I believe in payback."

She squatted down and pulled his pants along with his underwear down his legs.

She wrapped her hand around him and started stroking him, while looking up at him.

He ran his hand through her hair, causing her top knot bun to unravel.

Her eyes were on him as she took him into her mouth.

Adam let out a deep moan.

She wrapped her tongue around the tip of him before taking as much as she could into her mouth.

He kept his eyes on her.

She didn't shy away from his watchful eye.

Chelsea continued to work him with her mouth. "Oh…and happy birthday."

He groaned. "Thank…you."

Adam started alternating between moaning and cursing.

She had a strong grip on him while pumping him in and out of her mouth.

He was no longer watching her.

He had thrown his head back and was doing a mix of grunting, moaning, and cursing.

And she was loving every minute of it.

Her goal was to bring him to his knees, but he had other plans.

Adam had a firm grip on her hair and knew he had to cut this short, because she was just too good at this.

He removed himself from her mouth and pulled her to her feet.

He finished removing his pants, then helped her remove her robe and her nightshirt.

He took great pleasure in sliding her panties down her legs.

He was still wearing his t-shirt, so he pulled it over his head and tossed it.

It had been a long time since they had seen each other naked.

They were so drunk in Baltimore they could hardly remember putting things where they were supposed to go.

Adam took her in, then pulled her into a kiss and lifted her up.

He took her over to the bed and sat down.

She was straddling him.

He kissed her while she raised up to join their bodies.

They both let out loud deep moans as her body accepted each inch of him.

Chelsea waited a few seconds before she started moving her hips.

It had been a long time since she had sex.

She had to give her body time to get adjusted to him.

Adam didn't rush it.

He let her take control.

He leaned over and gave her the slowest, deepest, most sensual of kisses.

It was so sensual it made things even slicker.

Eventually, she started slowly rocking her hips back and forth.

Adam broke the kiss and kept his eyes on her.

He watched her face go through various emotions, which turned him on even more.

He pulled her down into an even deeper kiss and she moaned into his mouth.

He was done waiting on the sidelines, so he decided to join the game. He started pushing up into her, which caused her to moan even louder.

He grabbed a handful of her rear and developed a steady rhythm.

Chelsea wrapped her arms around his neck and joined his pace, as they both moved in unison.

She threw her head back and moaned. "Oh God, Adam."

Hearing her say his name was the cherry on top of everything.

In one motion he flipped her over onto the bed and took over from there…..

Adam and Chelsea are lying in bed.

He reached over and caressed her cheek. "Having you in my bed feels kind of weird. I just never thought this would happen again."

"I know. I didn't think I ever wanted it to happen again. Baltimore was one thing, because we were drunk. This is different. I just can't believe I'm even here."

He propped his head up on his elbow. "Was I that awful?"

"You were there. I don't need to answer that."

He knew she was right. "Look, I don't blame you. I know I ruined us."

"Yeah, you did. You just took a bomb and blew it up. It sucks, because I really loved you, Adam. Maybe too much? Maybe that was the problem?"

"Do you think you could ever love me again?"

"I don't know if I want to open that door again. We also have to think of Conner. I don't want to disappoint him. And it's dangerous loving you."

"So, what are we now? Just people that sleep together sometimes?"

"I don't know, Adam. We just slept together five minutes ago. Too early to label it. Let's just take it slow with no labels."

"Is tonight considered taking it slow?"

She smiled. "Some moments were slow and some moments were fast."

He smirked. "But were they happy?"

She laughed. "Very."

"I propose we continue on this happy memories trend. Everything else, we will worry about another day, because the night is still young."

She laughed. "Lead the way."

He moved over her. "Let's move this over here."

He used his right leg to move her left leg wider.

"And then this one over there."

He did the same to the right one.

She grinned.

He gave her a quick kiss. "I'm not done. This will definitely ensure a happy memory. We need to put this in here."

He reached down and joined their bodies.

She moaned.

He kissed her again. "Are you happy?"

She nodded and breathlessly answered. "Very….."

It's later and Chelsea is asleep.

Adam was still up.

He had a lot on his mind.

It took a lot of hard work to get here.

He was actually proud of himself.

Getting her to move in was the hardest part of his plan.

Getting her back in his bed so soon was unexpected, but he was not going to complain.

He just had to get her to keep coming back.

She assumed that tonight was the first time he had been in her room, well since she moved in.

It was not.

He actually visited her room after she moved in.

He waited until she left for work, then he went into her bathroom to take a picture of her birth control pills.

The second time he went into her room, he replaced her birth control pills with placebos.

Adam knew what he did was wrong.

He really couldn't help himself.

Especially, when he really wanted something.

He tried hard to suppress his dark side, but sometimes he just couldn't.

Chelsea moved and opened her eyes.

She noticed him staring at her. "Why aren't you asleep?"

"Too much excitement."

She grinned. "Go to sleep."

"Yes, Ma'am."

He threw his arm around her and tried to bring her closer.

She moved away. "Don't do that, Adam. We are just having fun. No cuddling. I don't want to confuse things."

"Ok, if that's what you want."

She closed her eyes and went back to sleep.

He laid there staring at her for a few minutes, before eventually joining her…

This is a one shot but who knows one day I might revisit because I can really take this somewhere.
