I breathed in before doing the bravest thing I had done in a while. I was going to figure out who was here. I walked down the hall and before turning the corner I heard Rima talking to someone. She had said Senri's name but quickly backtracked on that. 'Had someone possessed Senri?' I thought as I listened and waited, as I heard footsteps make their way up the steps and to Kaname's office. I stayed silent and listened on. I could hear the whole conversation before hearing the male voice speak about being a pureblood. 'I was right.' I thought as I kept listening. 'These two have a past…Uncle? They're related?!' A moment later I could feel the ground shake and then a yell for Kaname to stop from none other than Takuma. 'He's protecting the pureblood? But why?' My thoughts kept going without the proper context. I heard what I could before hearing the door open, and barely saw "not" Senri and Takuma walking out, I kept myself from saying hello to him but saw Rima on the other side.
I did not wait much longer after they left to slip into Kaname's office. I didn't even need to announce myself, he knew I was there.
"How much did you hear Sora?" He asked, using my old nickname, which told me he was having a truly horrid day already.
"All of it. I sensed his presence when he walked in. Kaname, just who is he?" I asked.
"The man using Senri's body is my Uncle, Rido Kuran." He said annoyed clearly.
"What did he mean by that you couldn't end him?" I asked, even though there were very few options for the meaning of that phrase.
"Rido is the one who resurrected me from my eternal sleep. You know my age and history, I believe you can piece that together, Sora." He said.
"Yes, I can. But I know it's not known throughout the vampire world. I won't say anything about it to the others." I lowered my head to him, but only slightly.
"Thank you, Sora. Had I known that he would appear, I wouldn't have let you stay. From now on, it won't be as safe as it was before and Takuma won't be able to protect you for the time being. I can arrange for another vampire to watch out for you if you'd like." He said trying to make this just a tad better.
"No, that won't be necessary. The rest of the Night Class will protect me when the time comes. As will my own staff, I may be seen as the weakest of the purebloods, but I will not be alone in a fight." I said with confidence.
He simply offered a little smile and a nod.
"Please protect who you need to and I will help how I can, Kaname," I said before leaving the office and walking back to my room. I walked in and opened the windows, there was a chill in the air and snow was beginning to fall. 'It's only a matter of time…before this lovely night turns into something that can not be undone.' I thought as I walked back to my bed.
I hadn't been on my bed for very long, maybe less than half an hour when the scent in the air changed. It was human, but there was a familiarity about it, and then the scent changed again. It shifted. It was dark, pure, and familiar. "Wait-...that's…" I rushed to the window and tipped forward a bit. "Kaname…that's Kaname's blood…" His scent was out there and then suddenly an old but new presence was in the area. I could feel another pureblood and knew this time who it was. It was her, Yuki Cross…no, Yuki Kuran. It was beginning, my vision was sure to come true very soon.
