Bulma found Vegeta's unnerving glare focused intently upon her during breakfast. He had ignored her good morning greeting with a cold demeanor so she concluded that he was still pissed about what she had told him last night and it made her feel an uncomfortable, spine-chilling tension fill the dining room. She turned her eyes on Whis, who gently smiled at her as he put down Vegeta's breakfast in front of him. She shrugged her shoulders, looked away to avoid the grumpy deity's intimidating gaze, and decided to grab a remote control not far away from her to turn on the television not far from them. The awkward, deadly silence was no more once the morning news was on.

Bulma tried her best to ignore that stomach-knotting feeling caused by Vegeta's silent glaring, forcing herself to concentrate on the news on TV. Why was he staring at her like that? She became concerned when she heard the news of what happened to actor Anaheim Brosiz. Vegeta observed that she was genuinely worried about what happened to the guy and he couldn't believe that even she was that affected by what happened to Anaheim. Bulma felt bad for how such an actor she liked and praised for his gorgeous looks had lost his beauty and probably his fame as well in one terrible night.

Vegeta continued to study her in silence for quite some time as she lamented while watching the sad news, before he finally spoke to her in his typical icy tone, "Why are you affected by his loss so much? It's not like whatever happened to him had something to do with you in the first place."

His cold voice caused Bulma to gasp in surprise and almost jump out of her seat. She slowly turned her head to his direction, silently wondering what he meant by his words.

Bulma blinked her big, blue eyes at him, then she responded, "What do you even know of love, compassion, and concern from being a fan? Have you ever looked up on someone enough for you to care about them?"

Vegeta tilted his head slightly. His seemingly soulless, beady, black eyes staring frigidly back at her. He had a somehow detached expression as he spoke to her in a chilly tone, "No, and I don't care," he deadpanned. Although he actually once looked up and cared so much for his father back when he was still a young, mortal child until he realized that such idolatry meant nothing when he learned that the king was nothing but a pathetic fool.

Vegeta turned to his food, grabbed his knife and fork and began eating what Whis put on his plate, "I know you were so infatuated with him for that made-up trash you made me watch the other night, but I never thought that you'll care so much about him when he probably doesn't even know who you are. Hmph! This idolatry crap is complete nonsense to me," he huffed.

"Whatever, you're just probably jealous," Bulma muttered with a roll of her eyes.

She heard Vegeta grunt in irritation, before he said with the same cold tone, "Don't be ridiculous. There's no reason for a God of Destruction to be jealous of an insignificant mortal who will be destroyed sooner or later."

Bulma stared back at him for a moment, wondering if he was bluffing or not. However, seeing that cold and intimidating gaze he was giving her, he seemed serious about it. She frowned.

"You tell me, were you the reason why Anaheim is suffering right now? Did you do this to him, somehow?" she asked him.

"Indirectly, yes," he answered nonchalantly.

"But why? Anaheim is a very kind man, why is there a need for you to make him miserable?"

Vegeta raised his ebony eyes at her, put his utensils down, and leaned his back on the backrest of his throne-like chair while crossing his muscular arms over his chiseled chest.

"These things happen because of my presence in this world. I didn't specifically choose him over someone else, it just happens to anyone unless I decide to focus directly on them. It was then when their lives would be even more miserable. All living things on this planet would suffer some kind of terrible fate so long as I am here. It was a test to see if these things truly deserved to exist in this Universe."

Bulma lowered her eyes to her food, looking quite forlorn.

"So now do you realize what I'm trying to tell you about?" Vegeta told her with a guarded expression.

Bulma didn't respond to that for a while. Indeed, this could be one effect of his destructive divine presence on Earth. She recalled he once warned her on how more devastating occurrences would occur the longer he was in this world. She was sure that he would even make people feel more miserable too. He existed to cause all of that after all.

"I wonder if Anaheim or any of his fans were mad about what happened to him," she mumbled after a few silent moments.

"Yeah, they were furious. Furious enough for them to pray and summon me to wish for the destruction of Rezeph Sinclair," he responded, causing Bulma's eyes to widen in surprise as she raised them to look at him in shock.

"Really?! So it's Rezeph Sinclair, indeed?!" she gasped. "Woah, I can't believe it. The guy was so possessive and obsessed with Cayena Hale! So did you hear them all?"

"Yeah, but I only considered one among them since they all had the same wish. I wanted the victim to decide the fate of his perpetrator on his own, rather than allow someone insignificant to him decide their fate. Though, I admit that after seeing you having such concerns for that man, I was actually tempted to offer you the contract instead."

Vegeta's impassive demeanor suddenly changed as he finally let out a foreboding, sinister smile. "So what do you say? Do you wish for me to avenge your idol from the one who destroyed his gorgeous face?"

Bulma glared back at him, offended that he thinks so low of her.

"You're crazy! Did you honestly think that I could easily fall into your trap?! I am not that obsessed!" she yelled at him.

Vegeta snorted before chuckling darkly, "Hehehe… Yeah, sure. It's only a matter of time before he decides his fate anyways," he said. Then his expression turned deadly serious. "And soon, someone will decide the fate of this world, too."

Bulma blinked back at him, "What do you mean by that?"

"You said that you won't wish for me to destroy this world anymore, right? I wonder how long that adamance of yours would last."

"Huh?"

Why were they having this conversation again?

"You told me last night that you already know how to win against me. Did you honestly think I would allow an insignificant being such as you to win? I can tell, you know. Have you forgotten that I could see through you, too? I am a deity of destruction, so of course, I am able to see through mortals like yourself…

"Hatred, anger, vengeance, bloodlust, ambition, obsession, I could hear all mortals' darkest desires and use them to get whatever I want from them. After all, emotions are a mortal's greatest weakness. Knowing how easily you pathetic humans get too sentimental and emotional, who knows when one among you would snap and desire for destruction? In other words, your fates were already sealed the very moment your unfortunate planet welcomed my divine presence. Sooner or later, either you or someone else would wish for me to destroy this world."

"I will stop you then. I will never allow you to destroy this world," Bulma told him.

"How can you stop me? Keep on assuming things about me which you don't even understand? That's what you've been doing ever since I agreed to give you the chance to change my mind and you know that it's ticking me off."

"I'm not assuming things about you and you know that, Vegeta. You always say that, but we both know why it always ticks you off whenever I try to point out to you these things."

"Hn, perhaps you're right. Thanks for pointing it out, that's why I will be more careful now," he told her coldly. "After what happened between us yesterday, I have all the reasons I need to destroy you now. But then, I figured out that it would be too boring if I destroyed you outright so I decided it would be more entertaining for me to let you witness what's coming for you when everything you know gets destroyed by my power right in front of you. It's a fitting divine punishment for a pest like you after all.

"This is the final warning I'll be giving you, woman. Be careful how you speak to me, if you assume things about me or my 'feelings' once more, for the last time , then you shall suffer my wrath and receive the divine punishment of destruction."

Bulma stared back at Vegeta's dark eyes and felt her body shudder in fear. He was utterly serious about his threat this time and she couldn't find any trace of emotion there. Was he really that angry about what happened between them yesterday that he had to resort to this kind of cold and ruthless treatment towards her? What was wrong with him? What was his problem?

Bulma smiled nervously and shakily told him, "Hey, you know I was only kidding you around."

Vegeta slammed his hands over the table and pushed his chair back before he walked out of the dining room. Bulma watched at his back as he stomped his way out of the dining room without even finishing his breakfast. She heard Whis let out a disappointed sigh to himself on the side and she turned to see him shake his head as he muttered displeasingly, "Him and his pride…"

Chapter 28: A Dangerous Obsession

"You did? You really met the God of Destruction?!"

A young adult male with a layered, copper-colored hair donning a black leather jacket and pants, and had lots of piercings of silver on his ears, nose, and lips gasped in great fascination as he plopped down by the sofa across the hospital bed where Anaheim, whose face was completely covered by bandages, sat with a grim look upon his face. Anaheim, whose countenance was pure and clean in comparison to that of his rebel-looking rockstar friend, the vocalist of the now famous band, The Dark Destroyers , Yami Shimono, nodded back.

Yami grinned to himself as he rose again and paced across the room, a wide, sinister look as he let out a dark chuckle, "I told you I was right all along, Anny! The God of Destruction truly exists!" he turned to his friend and asked, "So, what did he tell you? Is it really true that he will destroy anything you desire?"

Anaheim nodded silently.

"Why? Did you do the ritual I told you about?"

"No, he said my fans were the ones who did the ritual for me. He wanted me to make the decision and enter the contract with him instead."

"Then why didn't you make the contract? That bastard, Rezeph, deserved to be destroyed!"

"Well, there's a price the God of Destruction was asking for," Anaheim said in a timid way.

"A price? Is he really going to take your soul?"

"No, what he demands from me are the souls of my fans who did the ritual. He wanted blood sacrifices."

"And you're afraid?"

Anaheim nodded once more.

"Well, if that was the price for his service, then maybe it's not that bad. You didn't do the ritual so you're safe. If he wants to take those people's blood as sacrifice then you should have done it. They summoned him, so that means they were all willing to sacrifice anything for you in the first place."

Anaheim looked at his friend with an aghast expression, "Do you hear what you're saying, Yami? Are you serious? You want me to sacrifice my beloved fans for the sake of revenge?"

Yami shrugged his shoulders,

"Rezeph is hiding somewhere. We have no idea if the police could even arrest him or if he could just bail out and pay them a huge sum of money. We both know how filthy rich Rezeph is and how fucked up the justice system is in this rotten world actually is. We can't even trust those bastards any longer. Only a deity who doesn't care about his money, influence, and power could put him in his proper place and punish him justly."

"I agree with you on that, Yami, but it doesn't mean that I have to sacrifice my soul or someone else's for the sake of revenge. I believe the deity has another way to punish Rezeph and I just need to wait for that right time. After all, Vegeta-sama mentioned something about balance and due time. If I make the contract, it will disrupt these things, that's why he demands a sacrifice in exchange for his special service. If I don't do it, then Rezeph will get divine punishment in his due time without me making any sacrifices at all. I believe it is a test from the deities, especially from the God of Destruction."

Yami sighed as he turned to stare at his friend, shaking his head before propping down on the sofa next to Anaheim's hospital bed.

"Hey Anny, did you know that according to the Urban Legend, wherever the God of Destruction goes, death and devastation would occur in that place? There was a huge pile up and several damaged roads on Tongari Avenue this morning. It goes all the way here, I had to go around and take another way just to get in here."

"Really? Maybe that's why a lot of patients passed away when he came to meet me here," Anaheim said.

"So what if we're already doomed whether you make the contract or not? What if the world we live in gets destroyed and along with it, all the bastards like Rezeph or all those murderers and sinful men? What if everything that's good and beautiful gets recreated in a new world and is allowed to stay in peace? A world where there's no sinful people, men bore no hatred, bitterness, war, but peace and quiet. Do you think this new world would become a much better place than this rotten world?"

"Vegeta-sama did mention something about him keeping the balance of this Universe, so it is possible that what you're saying is true."

"Yes, so what if he came in here to cleanse this world of all its filth and recreate it after all?" Yami asked him. Then he nodded. "Yes, that's it!" he suddenly exclaimed excitedly.

Anaheim gazed at his friend with a questioning look.

"How could I not think of this sooner? Yes, I can actually use the ritual to summon the God of Destruction and tell him to destroy this world so I could recreate it into the perfect world! A real-life Utopia!"

Vegeta was in his room staring up at the view of his balcony. His seemingly bored eyes turned icy when he suddenly sensed someone's destructive desire, a desire to destroy this rotten world. It was intense, determined, and enough to catch his attention.

Vegeta tilted his head slightly, intently listening to the dark appetency of this mortal, Yami Shimono, a close friend of his latest client, Anaheim Brozis. He knew this human had been one of those who was annoyingly trying to call him repeatedly just for his own obsession to prove that the Urban Legend about the ritual to summon him was true and for his desire to seek attention of the public. It was due to this mortal's insignificant and incessant drive to validate his existence that Vegeta decided to ignore all his previous summons. He doesn't just appear before a mortal who would undoubtedly waste his time over proving whether he existed or not, what Vegeta needs from mortals is their desire for him to destroy anything their heart desires.

It seemed that Anaheim told Yami that he appeared before the fallen actor and it stirred something within the metal band rock star vocalist. After what happened to his best friend, Yami desired to rid this world of its rotten inhabitants by wishing for the God of Destruction to destroy it and recreate it into the perfect world where only everything that is good according to Yami's preference exists.

Vegeta snorted to himself, glaring. This foolish mortal thought he could do the impossible. There was no Utopia, there cannot be a perfect world. If you eliminate this world with all of its darkness, there will be no balance at all. And without that balance, this Universe will fall off and be destroyed. This is the reason why there is a creator god and a destroyer god who work together in keeping that balance. Vegeta's job was to cause darkness in order for the light to go through, to cause evil to see the goodness of mortals, to test the strength of mortals through their weakness and misery, to bring death in order to give new life, and to destroy for another to be created. If he doesn't exist, there will be nothing for the creator god to do.

"Tch!"

He sneered in annoyance, deciding to ignore Yami's destructive desire, although Vegeta had been waiting for someone to wish him to destroy this world, this mortal's reasons were unacceptable due to his foolish belief of what justice is. Just who does Yami think he is? Is he trying to make himself a god of the world he wanted to create?

"Hmph! How ridiculous! These stupid humans sure are getting on my nerves!" he growled. "But then, Anaheim's thoughts about the contract I offered him was actually impressive for a pathetic human. I wonder how long that will last."

A sinister smirk changed his earlier scowl, "Hmm... This is interesting."

A light sound of knocking made Anaheim and Yami turn their heads to the door of the room. Yami rose from his seat to open the door to find a beautiful lady standing before him, bringing a huge bouquet of flowers and a basket full of fruits.

"Oh, Cayena-san," Yami greeted.

The lady called Cayena Hale, Anaheim's co-actress in their hit drama 'Start-up' smiled back at Yami.

"Oh, it's Yami-san! Hello! Is Anny in there?" she asked.

"Ah yes," Yami said, moving to the side of the door. "Come in, I'll go and get us something to eat."

"Thank you," Cayena replied. She walked inside the hospital room, Yami winked at Anaheim mischievously just as he stepped out and closed the door to leave the two behind.

Anaheim, who saw Cayena coming in, immediately gasped at her presence. She was as beautiful as ever and as usual, he's so starstruck with her. Feeling ashamed of what happened to him, he quickly turned away.

"Anny, how are you now?" Cayena asked in a soft voice.

It took Anaheim several moments to answer, "I… I don't know… Ashamed, maybe. Scared…"

Cayena put the flowers and the basket of fruits on a huge table by the side of the door where several presents and letters of 'get well soon' were left. She sighed before she walked near him, then sat next to him by the sofa. Anaheim automatically turned his head fully covered with bandages away, still rueful of his situation. That look of pity and hurt Cayena was giving him made him feel upset with himself.

He had been secretly crushing on Cayena ever since they started working on 'Start-Up', secretly because he knew that she had a boyfriend, Rezeph Sinclair, although he always believed that she was only forced into that relationship. Rezeph was a very obsessed man with Cayena, so much that he turned very aggressive and violent towards anyone he deemed would take his beloved girl away from him. There have been a lot of times Rezeph confronted him due to being paired up with Cayena in their drama, where he would threaten Anaheim. The last time was during the ball where the actors and actresses celebrated the anniversary of their Entertainment Company two nights ago. Anaheim remembered Cayena looked like a princess when she arrived at the ball, and everybody was looking in her direction in awe. Of course, while everybody was gawking at her beauty, they seemed like nothing to her but props to her background as she walked by.

Everybody, except for Anaheim. The moment their eyes met that night, Cayena immediately decided that she wanted to dance with him on that ball. And she knew that he wanted to invite her as well. They grew closer since their drama together and she knew that if she wanted to spend this night with anyone, it should be with Anaheim.

But as Cayena's eyes seemed to concentrate clearly on Anaheim's pretty boy looks, everything blurred when her sights focused on the man that walked in front her, obviously blocking her view of Anaheim. Cayena gasped as she felt her body froze in utter horror. Rezeph Sinclair glared at her with his cold eyes while he approached her. His hands grabbed her shoulders, his face drifted closer as he leaned forward until his lips were on her left ear. She felt his hot breath blow at her ear, causing her to feel goosebumps of terror all over her body while her breath was caught in her throat due to her fear.

"Keep your eyes only for me and stay beautiful only for me, my dearest Cayena Hale."

That was what Rezeph whispered to her that night. It was clearly a threat. Cayena forced herself to smile back and answered with a shaky: "Of course, my love."

Rezeph pulled away from her, grabbed her left hand covered with silk gloves, and walked her around as if he was showing off his prized possession. When they passed by Anaheim's side, Cayena stared at him like a caged animal seeking help while Rezeph gave him a cold, but threatening gaze. If only Anaheim knew what Rezeph was planning on doing to him inside his cruel mind, he would have prevented it from happening.

"Please look at me, Anny."

"I'm sorry, but I can't," Anaheim muttered.

"Are you scared that I won't like you anymore because of what happened to you? I don't care about it. What I like the most about you is your pure heart, not just your looks. To me, you are a very beautiful person no matter how you look," Cayena assured him. "So please, Anny. Look at me. Don't be afraid."

"I can't… I really can't."

Cayena sighed.

"It was Rezeph who did this to you, wasn't it?" she asked him in concern.

Anaheim didn't answer. He just lowered his eyes in shame.

"Please, Cayena-san. You should leave. If Rezeph-san learned you're here, then you will be in big trouble," Anaheim told her.

Cayena was silent for a moment. Her silence suddenly caused Anaheim to look back at her in concern. What was she thinking?

"I'm breaking up with Rezeph," she told him.

"What?"

"You heard me, I'm breaking up with him."

"But Cayena-san, you cannot do that. You know just what kind of guy Rezeph-san is. Who knows what he'll do if you break up with him and if he loses you. He might go on a rampage."

"I don't care anymore what he does. I had enough of his games. I will not tolerate any of his violent tantrums and obsession any longer. I'll have him in jail for what he did to you."

"Cayena-san…"

"Anny, I… Since I got paired up with you, I always felt comfortable. I enjoyed everything we did. I never felt this way around Rezeph, he always made me feel scared, terrified, I know you felt that way around him too. It was worse than what Yami-san made me feel. Yami-san had an intimidating aura, but somehow I feel better being around him than Rezeph, maybe because he rarely cared about something else. Rezeph was different. He's manipulative, toxic, violent. To be honest, I forced myself to love him because I was feeling threatened about what he would do to me and to others. It really wasn't love, love is what I feel around people like you. I only have abhorrence towards Rezeph and nothing else. You get what I mean, Anny? I want to stop pretending any longer. I will break up with Rezeph and be with you. I want to be with you, Anny."

Anaheim stared at Cayena as she said those words which made his heart feel like someone was gripping it.

"Cayena-san, if you only knew how much I wanted to be with you, too. If you only knew how much I am in-love with you. I would give the world for you, but… Rezeph-san…"

Suddenly, Anaheim had thoughts of the God of Destruction offering him the contract to rid Rezeph for him.

"I am the God of Destruction, the deity responsible for death and devastation, Vegeta Yonsei. I heard your prayer and here I appear before you to offer you a contract that would allow me to destroy Rezeph Sinclair for you…

"When you agree to make a contract with me, I shall bestow my divine punishment to Rezeph Sinclair. In this process, he would cease to exist in this world. That means he will disappear forever, body and soul. He will never pass over, be sent to the afterlife, or will be given the chance to go to heaven, hell, or even be revived or be reincarnated. He will also be forgotten by mortals as if he had never existed in this world.

"I am offering you to decide your perpetrator's fate, I would instead take the souls of all the people who summoned me for your sake. A fine sacrifice for a guaranteed vengeance, I should say."

Anaheim pulled Cayena into a warm embrace. He wanted her to be free of Rezeph's evil clutches. He knew she was suffering inside pretending that she loved the guy when she was only trapped into a dangerous obsession that just wouldn't stop and wished to be free of it. He wanted to get rid of Rezeph, but he cannot sacrifice the souls of the people who loved him either.

What must he do?

"Anny?"

"Cayena-san, please don't do it," Anaheim told him. "Don't do it until I am out of this place. I don't want him hurting you greater than what he did to me. Please wait a little longer, I will report him to the police and liberate you from him."

"Alright, Anny. I will wait a little longer."

When Cayena left, Anaheim called his manager and asked if he could arrange a press conference tomorrow. He was planning to bring Rezeph down and reveal the darkness behind that handsome face. He's not going to be the only one whose carrier shall fall.

Yami returned with a bamboo box filled with mixed sushi and some drinks. He was disappointed to know that Cayena already left and apologized for being too late.

Yami was late because several minutes earlier while Anaheim and Cayena were together, he was busy creating a vlog entry while he walked into the streets towards a nearby sushi restaurant using his smartphone. In his vlog, he revealed that the God of Destruction appeared to his friend, Anaheim Brozis, and offered him a contract to destroy the perpetrator who caused him to be in the hospital. Yami didn't name Rezeph in his video, but he knew that the guy would get the message and be in fear of his upcoming doom. The vlog gained a lot of views during its livestream, with a few comments saying it was another hoax since Yami always failed to summon the God of Destruction during his many live attempts.

Yami laughed the doubtful comments off and showed them the destruction around Tongari Avenue where he believed the God of Destruction passed before he appeared to Anaheim, challenging them to explain how all of these happened and to think it's all the way to the Sun Wukong Hospital. Yami also revealed that a lot of patients in the hospital died during the time Anaheim was with the God of Destruction. He even told everyone the story of what happened to Anaheim while he was talking about the God of Destruction, even revealed what he looked like, the terms of the contract he offered the actor and that the deity's name was Vegeta Yonsei.

His phone suddenly went off the very moment he spoke of the God of Destruction's name. Yami wondered what was wrong with his phone and after many attempts of booting it up and still failed, he just decided to throw it away in the trash bin and buy a new phone later. He went to The Ox King's Sushi restaurant to get some food for Anaheim, Cayena, and himself.

Once Yami walked away, Vegeta appeared and took the wasted phone out of the trash using telekinesis.

"Tch! Pesky fool!" he grunted. With a simple gesture, the phone exploded into several pieces.

At the Ox King's Sushi Restaurant, Jun Maeda, who was browsing the internet through his laptop while taking his breakfast at the corner, got a notification of Yami's livestream. Jun was following the Dark Destroyer's vocalist's vlogs since he was so obsessed with trying to summon the God of Destruction for quite some time. The title 「The God of Destruction Appeared to Anaheim Brozis!」caught his attention, and he watched the live video of Yami Shimono speaking about Anaheim's experience. Jun just learned by reading the newspaper this morning that the popular actor was sent to the hospital when a still unknown suspect splashed acid in his gorgeous face. According to Yami's video, it was Anaheim's fans who did the ritual but the God of Destruction appeared before him instead to decide the fate of the suspect, and his fans' existence in this world. This alarmed Jun greatly.

The moment Yami was speaking of the God of Destruction's name, the video was cut off with static before turning totally black. But at the last moment, something caught Jun's critical eye. It's not as easily noticeable though for some reason, he was able to catch a glimpse of an eerily familiar sight several meters behind Yami.

Jet black hair standing up in a flaming array, dark ebony eyes glaring icily into the camera. Jun automatically pushed the printscreen button on his keyboard to capture the image.

When Jun viewed the said screenshot, he took out the sketch he made when Keisaku Sakai revealed to him what the God of Destruction looked like. He put the sketch and the screenshot side-by-side and he gasped with a mixture of fascination and horror.

"The God of Destruction, Vegeta Yonsei," he muttered.

At the very moment he said that, every electronic device around him lost its power, even battery-operated robots, laptops, and smartphones, which caused himself, the staff, and several customers to wonder what happened.

If it is true that Vegeta Yonsei indeed appeared before Anaheim Brozis, then sooner or later, he would make his move and destroy his target, whom Jun suspected was Rezeph Sinclair. Just as he did with Keisaku, Jun decided to go to the Sun Wukong Hospital and speak to Anaheim in order to stop the evil plans of the God of Destruction. But he will not go alone, since he was here all along, he had to bring Bulma Briefs as well. He knew she was close to Vegeta Yonsei for some reason so it would be best to keep her around.

Jun rose from his seat to approach Bulma Briefs by the counter when he caught sight of Vegeta Yonsei right before his eyes. He was arguing with Bulma there, about how he wanted to sit where his usual spot was but the said seat was already taken by a customer. Bulma sighed and took him to the spot, which Jun realized was where he was sitting.

"See? It's taken. You didn't make any reservation, Vegeta," Bulma told him, rolling her eyes. "Just because this is your usual spot doesn't mean you own that spot. You could wait if you want until the customer is done or take your seat elsewhere."

Jun stared at them, wondering if she was aware who she was talking to. Was she aware that Vegeta was the God of Destruction? Considering how she talked to him and how she addressed him, he doubted not.

Vegeta turned his dark eyes to Jun, giving him an angry glare. It automatically made Jun feel greatly intimidated by such a powerful presence focusing his sights on him. For some reason, it was causing him to back away in utmost fear, to leave and run for his life.

Jun looked away, cleared his throat, and quickly cleaned up the table. He put his things together as he decided it was best to leave this place while he still can.

"It's okay. I'm done. He can sit here now," Jun told Bulma with an awkward smile.

She turned to glare at Vegeta, silently asking him if he did anything. He didn't seem to respond as he continued to gaze at Jun, who tried to ignore the uncomfortable feeling in his stomach.

In his scurrying, Jun dropped the sketchpad on the floor, revealing the drawing he had of Vegeta. Jun hurriedly picked it up, awkwardly smiling at Bulma and Vegeta before he scampered out of the restaurant.

"That drawing… Isn't that you?" Bulma asked Vegeta once Jun was away.

"Yeah," he responded as he finally sat down on the seat Jun left.

"He was Himawari Maeda's son, wasn't he?"

"Yeah."

"Why does he have a drawing of you?"

"He was trying to find out my true identity in his hopes of trying to put an end to the Urban Legend. He believes he inherited his mother's will to stop me."

Bulma smirked, "I guess he and I have the same goal. Now there are two of us you need to look out for."

Vegeta snorted, "Hmph! As if I care about what foolishness you wish to do. No matter how much scum gets in my way, it still won't change the fate I plan to bestow upon this planet," he turned to see Bulma just staring at him with a strange look as if he just grew a second head. "What are you gawking at? Get me your offerings of Maguro Nigiri now!"

Bulma walked away to get him a platter filled with Maguro Nigiri, which she put right in front of him. She was still staring back at him with quite a suspicious look as he began eating with a stoic expression, silently wondering if Maguro Nigiri wasn't enough reason for him now to change his mind about that fate. What happened to him? Why was he being like this all of a sudden?

"Thanks for pointing it out, that's why I will be more careful now," that's what he told her this morning. Was he really that upset about her pointing out his feelings when she was only teasing him? What was so wrong with that? She can't understand him and his moodswings at all.

When Cayena returned to her home, she found Rezeph waiting for her in the living room. She wondered what he was doing there so late at night.

"What are you doing here?" she asked him rather coldly.

"Why are you so surprised? I am your beloved boyfriend so I have all the right to be here at any time of the day. Isn't it obvious? I am waiting for you to return from your whereabouts. Shouldn't I be the one asking you questions, my dear little Cayena?" Rezeph sneered at her. "Where have you been, you little bitch? Why didn't you tell me where you plan on going? Why did you make me wait here all alone?"

"Wherever I went, it is none of your concern, Rezeph," Cayena told him coldly.

A furious Rezeph was suddenly in front of her, pulling her hair and causing her to let out a pained grunt, "It is my concern, Cayena. As your boyfriend, I have all the right to know where you decide to go and with whom you spend the precious free time you were supposed to give me," he snarled in her ear. "Now tell me where you went before I decide to smash your pretty face into the floor."

"Alright! Just let me go, Rezeph!"

"Tell me!"

"I went to the Sun Wukong Hospital to visit Anny!"

"Again with that stupid Anaheim! You really are a flirtatious little bitch, my dear little Cayena."

Rezeph harshly pushed Cayena off him, causing the actress to stumble forward and hit a cabinet with her lower back. The beautifully designed Chinese plates displayed on the top of the said cabinet fell into the floor.

Cayena glared at Rezeph, he looked like he was ready to murder her.

"How many times do I have to tell you that you are only mine?!" Rezeph shouted at her. "Anaheim has no claim over you! You are mine, Cayena! Only mine! You are not allowed to see anyone but me, you stupid bitch!"

"Enough of this, Rezeph!" Cayena screamed back. "I only visited a friend in the hospital. What's so wrong with that?!"

"Are you having trouble understanding using that utterly tiny brain of yours? I said you are only mine. I am your freaking boyfriend, for goodness sake! You don't need anyone else in this world but me and me only. I don't care about any of your friends or your stupid family. I am the only person you are allowed to see, outside of your job."

"Anny was my co-actor! He is part of my job, Rezeph!"

"That is the problem, Cayena. I am always supposed to be your co-actor and yet he stole you from me. He should be thankful that that's the only thing I did to him, I should have killed him the very moment he laid his eyes on you!"

Cayena's eyes widened as she gasped in disbelief, "So you really did it to Anny?!"

Rezeph began to laugh cruelly, "Oh, did I forget to tell you? Yes, I was the one who burned his ugly face. I burned his face so he would appear so terrible you won't look at him ever again!"

"You're such a terrible monster, Rezeph…" Cayena snarled. "That's it! I'm breaking up with you! I had enough!"

Rezeph's cruel smile faded as his expression turned catatonic, "What did you just say?"

"I said I'm breaking up with you! Do you have trouble hearing?"

Rezeph just stared at Cayena. His silence was unnerving to the actress. "You? You're breaking up with me?" he repeated. His tone was cold and filled with suppressed anger. "Do you even know what you're talking about, Cayena? You owe me your fame, all these things you enjoy right now were because you were paired up with me."

"You're wrong, Rezeph. It's you who owe your fame to me. Have you forgotten that ever since I paired up with Anny, your career began to fall?" Cayena told him. "I don't owe you anything, Rezeph. Now leave and get out of my house before I call the cops and tell them what you did to Anny and for trespassing my house this late at night!"

Cayena stomped away from Rezeph, leaving him completely stunned there. She went to the kitchen to get some water to drink. Behind her, Rezeph, seemingly in a trance, squatted down the floor where the pieces of broken plates from earlier laid in a mess. He took one of the shards, the sharpest looking one, and stalked Cayena to the kitchen.

When Cayena sensed his presence behind her, she demanded what he was still doing there when she just told him to leave. Hiding the deadly broken piece of the plate behind his back, he tried to coax with Cayena in his hopes of her changing her mind about breaking up with her, and save her from the fate he was planning to bestow upon her tonight.

But Cayena's decision was unyielding. It was then when Rezeph began to force himself to her. While lasciviously kissing and licking her lips and the smooth skin of her small neck, he ripped her dress off her as she cried out for him to stop. She tried pushing him off her, incessantly screaming at him. When he told her to keep quiet and she didn't, he began to stab her with the sharp broken piece of plate in his hand.

Cayena's blood sputtered across the kitchen as she screamed. Rezeph pushed her down to the kitchen counter, began to take off his pants and his underwear and he pulled her panty away.

"You will not disappoint me, Cayena. If I cannot have you, then no man will never have you," he snarled at her ear as he forcefully pushed his throbbing cock into her virgin, dry, and obviously unready womanhood. Cayena cried out in pain as this demon raped her so hard until he was satisfied. He was ruthless and rough with her and she couldn't take it anymore. She tried to fight back, scratching at his face or his skin with her fingers, pushing him off her, hitting him with her fists, but it only made Rezeph grow wilder.

"No!" Cayena screamed.

"How is this, Cayena? You had enough?! I'm sure that ugly freak won't give a shit about you anymore now that I've destroyed you just as I have destroyed his stupid face! Hahahahahaha!" Rezeph laughed.

Cayena was screaming from all her hatred and her anger, though to Rezeph's deranged mind it was from the pleasure of his rapid thrusts. He was clearly enjoying his sweet time forcing himself into this little bitch and letting her know who owns her.

Once Rezeph came into her, he growled to her ear, "Now you know where you belong, Cayena! Under me!"

Then he pulled her hair back and hurled her into the floor, bleeding. Cayena was in tears, completely broken.

"Now tell me you want me back after that. I know you enjoyed the pleasure I inflicted upon you. I'm sure you will never get such a thing with that pussy Anaheim Brozis," Rezeph told her.

But then, her decision remained. She glared back at him, "I will not change my decision, Rezeph. Don't think so lowly of me, I am not after some rough sex or money or fame. I love Anny because of his kindness and gentleness not just with me but towards others. I love Anny and you won't change my mind about it, even if you kill me!"

"So fucking you still won't change your mind, huh? What a stubborn little bitch you are," Rezeph said. "Fine. Since you won't change your mind, then I will kill you here. Like I said, if I cannot have you, then no one else could!"

Rezeph walked into the other side of the counter to grab a kitchen knife. "Now, die!"

Anaheim was carefully walking through the hospital hallway to grab some drinks via the vending machine in front of the nurse's station. The actor seemed careful and wary with every step he took. He almost screamed and had a heart attack when someone approached him and grabbed his shoulder. He turned around to see a man whom he recognized to be Jun Maeda.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you. You're Anaheim Brozis-san, right?" Jun asked him with an awkward smile.

Anaheim finally relaxed and he let out a sigh of relief.

"No, no… I mean, I'm sorry I reacted that way, and yes, I am Anaheim Brosiz. you're Jun Maeda-san, right?" he recognized.

"Yes," Jun responded. "I'm surprised you know me."

"Yami and I watch your vlogs on Likomico. Let's say I'm a big fan of yours."

"Thanks. I've watched your drama too. You're an amazing actor."

"Thank you."

"Do you mind if I take some of your time? I really need to ask you something that's really important."

Anaheim nodded, agreeing only because he didn't want to be left alone, "Ah, Yeah, sure."

"Thanks, you're as kind as everyone says."

The two of them decided to sit down on a table in the small canteen to talk. There's not much people since it's already around three in the morning.

"Have you seen your friend's vlog this morning?" Jun asked.

"Yeah, Yami was really obsessed with that ritual so it was obvious how hyped he was when he learned that the God of Destruction indeed appeared before me."

"So everything he said on that video was true? The God of Destruction offered you a contract to rid of the person who did this to you in exchange for the souls and existences of those fans who did the ritual for you?"

"Yes," Anaheim replied.

"How did that make you feel?"

"Shocked, of course. I just couldn't believe my fans were willing to sacrifice that much for me. I didn't want them to do such a thing for me, so I declined making a contract with the God of Destruction. But, it seems he was still waiting for me. I know this sounds crazy but I feel like he's been watching me since last night."

"Watching you?"

"I can feel this cold, terrifying presence around me, especially when I am alone."

"So that's the reason why I frightened you earlier."

"Yes, and I'm so sorry about that."

Jun chuckled, "I can understand how you feel, you know."

"Have you seen him too?"

"Yes, just this morning."

"Did you summon him?"

"No, my mother did the ritual many years ago."

"Oh yeah, I watched that vlog you made not too long ago. You can't remember her, huh?"

"Yes, I don't remember anything about her at all, her face, her voice, what she was like, her favorites, even the taste of her cooking… I don't remember anything. But in my heart, I can feel that she existed and that she was a part of me that's missing now. She may not be my biological mother, but I loved her with all my heart."

"Yes, you must have loved her so much and so dearly that even when she ceased to exist, you still had a part of her remaining deep in your heart."

"Yes. In her last days, she gave me her will to stop the God of Destruction from all the evil things he was planning on doing in this world."

"But how are you going to do that?"

"I am trying to look for the sources of that Chillypasta account which created the page where the Urban Legend of the ritual to summon the God of Destruction was posted. If I manage to hack into that, I could probably take the page down…"

Jun suddenly noticed Anaheim shifting his attention to somewhere behind him, obviously not listening to him any longer.

"Anaheim-san..?"

Anaheim held an appalled look as he continued to stare behind him. Jun turned around to see that Anaheim was staring at the television hanging near the ceiling, it was showing a Flash report that read 'Start-up Actress, Cayena Hale found dead at her home.'

"27-year-old actress Cayena Hale was found dead and in the pool of her own blood after she was brutally murdered in the kitchen of her home at WST224679, West City. Witnesses heard screaming and arguing in the house at around 1:00am and mentioned that they saw Cayena's long-time on-screen partner and current boyfriend, Rezeph Sinclair escaping the house after his murderous rampage.

"According to her neighbor who refused to show her face and tell her name: 'I was awakened by the sound of them arguing, I think she was breaking up with him already because she suspected that Rezeph was the one who did what happened to Anaheim Brozis. Then suddenly, I heard loud crushes inside the house, probably the things in the kitchen they started throwing at each other. I could even hear her screaming as he raped her before he killed her.'

"The Police already arrested Sinclair as he was found hijacking a taxi cab he stole, all thanks to the information sent by the taxi driver..."

Jun turned to Anaheim and saw the shock, grief, and his tears falling from his eyes despite the bandages he had around his head.

"Eeeeeeyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!"

Anaheim began to cry out loud.

"Cayena-san! Cayena-saaaaaan! Noooooo!" he wailed. He rose from his seat and began to feel extremely agitated, pacing around like he was going crazy. Jun stood up to try and calm Anaheim down.

"Anaheim-san, please calm yourself down."

"Don't you tell me to calm down! You saw it! You saw what he did to Cayena-san?! I could forgive him if he did this to me, if he did it to me, I can let him go, but to Cayena-san?!" Anaheim roared. Everyone in the canteen was now staring in their direction, surprised at the mad behavior the famous actor known for his kindness was doing. Who can blame him anyways? "Damn you, Rezeph! This is completely unforgivable!"

Meanwhile, on the God of Destruction's Planet...

Vegeta, who was doing some mental training inside his enormous bathroom, opened his eyes the moment he sensed Anaheim's rage. He straightened up from his floating, meditating position on mid-air and gracefully descended on the tiled floor. He was wearing a white bathrobe as he was taking a relaxing bath in his jacuzzi before he decided to do some mental training exercise.

"I'm going, Whis," he said.

His guide angel who was standing not far away responded, "Yes, milord. Your divine garments are prepared."

Vegeta walked towards Whis, removing his robe and dropping them on the floor. He took his God of Destruction clothes and dressed up in preparation for his duty to cause death and destruction in this Universe.

Once he was done preparing himself by fixing his thick golden cuff bracelet around his left forearm, he turned around swiftly with a deep scowl. His narrowed, cold, pitch black irises flashing an eerie pinkish-red light.

Then his lips stretched into a menacing, spine-chilling smile.

"Wait for me. I'm coming for you."

Jun tried to consolidate with him but Anaheim slapped his hand away before he stormed out of the canteen. Jun chased him across the hallway and into the staircase, shouting for help from the doctors and nurses.

Meanwhile, Bulma who just visited her sister in the ICU caught sight of what was happening. The commotion distracted her from watching the devastating news of Cayena's untimely death to a scene of Anaheim sprinting towards the staircase. She quickly joined the chase when she recognized Jun Maeda and heard him shouting for Anaheim not to make that contract. She didn't know why but whatever was upsetting Anaheim must be due to whatever happened to Cayena, and she felt that Anaheim might summon and make a contract with the God of Destruction.

Once Anaheim reached the hospital's rooftop, Bulma and Jun saw that Vegeta was already there waiting for his client before the door quickly shut on their faces, leaving the distressed actor alone with him on that rooftop.

Jun tried knocking and breaking through the door but an invisible force seemed to turn the door completely fixed on the wall and made it seem unbreakable. The said supernatural force was pushing him back while Bulma tried to call Vegeta's mobile phone only for her calls to be utterly ignored because he decided to leave the useless thing back home.

On the rooftop, Vegeta gazed quietly at Anaheim, whose face was filled with his grief for his beloved Cayena.

"You called for me?" he asked.

Anaheim sniffed before taking a few breaths to calm himself down. "I'm sorry, Vegeta Yonsei-sama, but can we please change the terms of the contract? Please spare my fans from the consequences of the contract I'm willing to make with you. Let's just say that I summoned you here and right now, so you should take my blood, my life, and my existence in exchange for you giving Rezeph his proper divine punishment of destruction."

Vegeta could tell what exactly Anaheim was thinking. After the actor assured that Vegeta would give Rezeph his due divine punishment, he would take his own life in his hopes of seeing Cayena for the last time before his existence gets destroyed by the God of Destruction. In Vegeta's opinion, it was utterly foolish of this human to be blinded by both love and anger at the same time just as what his previous contractee Saten Matsumoto did. Both believed in the absurdity that they could not live without the person they loved the most. He was correct in his opinion about how even the kindest mortals like Anaheim can have the darkest desires once their emotions became out of control. Still, despite Anaheim's rage towards Rezeph and his grief at the loss of his beloved Cayena, he was willing to sacrifice his own life rather than that of others who were supposedly insignificant to him.

"Fine," Vegeta responded. "I will do as you wish."

A few moments later, the unbreakable supernatural force that restricted the door from being opened earlier finally burst open. Bulma, Jun, along with some nurses and doctors entered just in time when Anaheim jumped off the rooftop. Everyone screamed in terror as they stumbled towards the edge only to see Anaheim's broken and dying body in the pool of his own blood by the concrete road in front of the entrance of the hospital where people around started to panic. Vegeta was nowhere to be seen.

Before Anaheim's final breath, he saw the apparition of Cayena approaching him while singing the sad and dramatic theme song of their drama she vocalized when she was still alive. She had a sorrowful look on her face as she held up her hand to him as if she was inviting him to come with her. With tears in his eyes, Anaheim imagined himself reaching out to her.

And then, he was dead.

Anaheim and Cayena's souls approached the waiting God of Destruction with their ghostly apparition in which Vegeta had allowed them to take. He was smiling in satisfaction at the blood sacrifice he got from Anaheim, and as promised it is time for him to work on his duty.

"Let's go," he told them. The two ghostly apparitions nodded back as they followed him to where their target was.

Rezeph was in his prison cell, yelling and screaming at the police officers on duty about how they seem to not recognize him as the popular actor Rezeph Sinclair. He was trying to bribe them by offering to pay them millions of zennies if they get him out of this stinking place and forget about what he did. He said he only did it out of his love for Cayena and that these fools know nothing of what true love means. The officers grumbled about how crazy this man truly was.

When Rezeph had enough of his tantrums being ignored, he tried sleeping against the concrete floor, angrily grumbling about how dirty and cold it was. He was a very narcissistic man with a spoiled, rich life being from a prestigious family of actors so he just couldn't believe this stupid government treating him of all people this way. He swore that once he was able to get out of this hellhole, he would find a way to make them all pay.

As Rezeph closed his eyes, he heard a familiar voice singing not far away from him. The voice was so familiar he thought he was only dreaming. Someone was probably trying to play Cayena's songs nearby. Who the hell was that fool playing such loud music at this hour of the night?!

Rezeph turned to his side, covering his ear with his only pillow, groaning angrily. He felt a cold hand touch his arm gently, he ignored it, shrugging off the strange feeling.

Then he felt the cold hand ran across his face, this time he popped his eyes open for him to see Cayena sitting next to him and looking down at him.

"Cayena? Is that you?" he gasped in fascination.

Although Cayena's ghastly apparition wore a white dress, was pale, bloody, broken, and had a deathly, terrifying stare. Rezeph didn't care. He sat up from the floor, mesmerized by the ghost before him.

"Cayena! You're alive! Oh my dearest Cayena!" Rezeph rejoiced. "You've come for me! Get me out of here, Cayena. Tell these stupid police officers that I did what I did to you to show you just how much I love you! I know you enjoyed every bit of it!"

Cayena simply stared back at him and started singing once more. Rezeph had never heard this song before. The lyrics spoke of fear, death, and destruction to those who gained the destroyer deity's wrath, as if to attract this fearsome god to come over and pour his divine punishment into this pitiful, sinful, unforgivable human being.

Another spine-chilling voice joined in the singing. It sounded like that of Anaheim's. Rezeph saw Anaheim's ghostly apparition, broken, pale, and bloody, though worse than that of Cayena, drift towards them. Both sang the same eerie song as they both stared down at Rezeph with their horrifying gazes. Cayena rose and held Anaheim's hand and the two joined together like lovers, this made Rezeph seethe with unspeakable rage.

"Anaheim Brosiz! How dare you take my precious Cayena away!" Rezeph roared. "Is burning your ugly face not enough warning to you?! Do I need to break you or kill you too just so you could understand in that stupid, tiny brain of yours that Cayena is only mine?! She's mine! Cayena! Let go of that fool and come to me!"

Rezeph tried to pull the two away but it was as if they wanted to mock him, Cayena and Rezeph hugged and kissed each other right before his eyes. This fueled Rezeph's rage even further; he hurled the nearest thing he could find into them. The pillow got reduced to dust when it hit them.

Suddenly, Rezeph heard a cold, intimidating, and displeased voice of a man he couldn't recognize behind him, "Hey, this is the first time I've seen a pair of ghosts as vulgar as the both of you. Is this really what you both think would bring enough torture to this pathetic mortal?"

Cayena and Anaheim seemed to laugh, though the sound was distorted it sounded quite eerie. They pulled away from each other and stood in attention before the new arrival as they continued singing the same song from earlier. Rezeph turned around to see a petite man with a strange style of jet-black hair that stood upwards like a wild, blazing flame, wearing an Egyptian pharaoh-like costume and had an odd brown monkey-like tail waving lazily behind his short legs. He had quite a disgusted look upon his devilishly handsome face.

"Who… Who the fuck are you?" Rezeph demanded the newcomer.

Vegeta turned his intimidating eyes to him, his magenta eyes lit up as he gazed intently at his target, his cold face seemed to darken at the sight of this sinful human.

"I am the God of Destruction, the deity responsible for death and devastation, Vegeta Yonsei. And I'm here to give you a taste of hell before you start begging me for your destruction."

"God of Destruction?" Rezeph repeated. He knew of the Urban Legend and even tried to do the ritual once to wish for this deity to eliminate Anaheim in this world. But the God of Destruction never heard his prayers nor he appeared before him back then.

So Rezeph thought that this puny little guy was just pretending. He laughed, "Hahahaha! You? You are the God of Destruction?! Are you serious? Hahahaha! And here I thought you looked hilarious with that hair and costume of yours! Stop kidding around, midget! A God of Destruction doesn't exi-!"

"Infuu Seikuyo," Vegeta muttered in a flat, emotionless tone.

Everything that surrounded them was abruptly swallowed by an infinite darkness and purple lightning began to strike above them after Vegeta has created a closed space using the Seal of Suppression, separating this part of the prison cell from the real world. Suddenly, Rezeph began to scream in agony, feeling an intense burning sensation all over his face.

Vegeta, whose expression was cold with his seething fury, tilted his head, "You were saying?"

"Stop! Stop this! Please stop this, Hakaishin-sama! Please forgive me! Stop! It hurts! It hurts!" Rezeph begged.

Vegeta doesn't feel like showing mercy this time. He was in the mood for bloodshed and destruction. And this despicable bastard shall suffer the wrath he was trying to keep under control since yesterday.

"You pathetic fool. It's too late to beg for mercy! Suffer!" he declared.

The closed space began to be filled with Rezeph's agonizing screams and the scent of burning human flesh and fresh blood as Rezeph's once handsome face charred into something completely unrecognizable. It made the cruel and sadistic God of Destruction cackle out loud in complete ecstacy and run his tongue across his lips in satisfaction at the sound of Rezeph's cries of torture, and all those ambrosial scents of blood and pure terror.

"How's that? Have you had enough? Now do you know how much pain you caused Anaheim when you splashed acid on his face? No, because what you just suffered is far worse that that."

Rezeph couldn't speak at all. But he was thankful that the burning had finally stopped. Although his face hurt so much, but not as much as his shattered pride since he was so proud of his gorgeous looks. He was sure he's not handsome anymore after what happened to him.

"I'm not done with you, yet," Vegeta told him with a voice devoid of any emotion. "For what you did to Cayena, I am going to castrate you, inch by bloody inch!"

Rezeph's body was pulled upwards by an invisible but powerful force and he was pushed into an unseen wall, completely restrained by that hefty energy. For some unknown reason and out of his control, Rezeph felt himself get sexually aroused which caused his reproductive organ to go hard. What the hell is this?!

Vegeta laughed and insulted Rezeph's tiny weiner (tiny, according to him) and told him there's no wonder Cayena didn't enjoy what he did at all.

The next several minutes, or probably hours, were filled with more of Rezeph's agonized screaming as Vegeta slit a knife made with his ki across Rezeph's sexual organ oh so agonizingly slow. He would occasionally stab Rezeph's body with the knife when he didn't get enough satisfaction with all the blood and screaming, causing human blood to sputter out of those deep cuts and wounds he made. It went on and on until he successfully removed the entire thing off the rest of Rezeph's body and impaled the pathetic human numerous times until he had enough. Rezeph was supposed to be dead with all those multiple deadly injuries and blood loss Vegeta just did to him, but since he became the miserable plaything for the ruthless deity responsible for death, Vegeta didn't give him that satisfaction. Rezeph would suffer the God of Destruction's rampage until the deity had enough of him. Vegeta's utter cruelty in this target was brought by his frustration and anger at humans, but more of himself with what happened between him and Bulma, and of Yonshir's words. Rezeph ended up to be at the receiving end of such vile temper, which is why Vegeta was taking his sweet time torturing him as much as he wanted to destroy this rotten world. Vegeta was pouring all his wrath and his desire for blood and destruction into this unforgivable mortal. This eventually triggered his Secret of Self-Indulgence: Ultra Ego technique and its power was beginning to take control of his mind.

He wanted more. More blood. More screaming. More agony. More power. Yes, with every bit of torture he was causing Rezeph, the more he felt his ki rose and his bloodlust grow. He felt his heart begin to pound with utter excitement and he started laughing maniacally at such exhilarating feeling. His face had a terrifying, deranged look as he cackled madly at what he was doing. The white scleras of his eyes slowly darkened into smoky-black as the glow of his magenta irises seemed to blaze and the flowing spikes of his flame-shaped hair began to shed a purple highlight due to the intense amount of destructive energy building up within him along with his primal and destructive excitement.

A hand quickly grabbed his wrist where his hand held his deadly weapon, and it brought Vegeta out of his crazed, murderous state. He turned his head to see his guide angel, Whis, giving him a look of disapproval. The guide angel saw what his master was about to become and thought it was already too much. Vegeta was beginning to lose control of himself as he delved deeper into his Secret of Self-Indulgence: Ultra Ego technique.

"Stop it. That's enough, Vegeta-sama," Whis told him with a stern tone and a hard gaze in his typically soft and gentle violet eyes. "You're already stepping out of your proper duties. You already gave him too much of what he deserved, please control your destructive desires or that power would take control of you."

Vegeta stared at Whis for a moment, willing himself to gain his control back over his intense rage and spiraling bloodlust. The dark smoke-like mist within his eyes faded away and he dissipated his energy knife with a single gesture. He harshly pulled his wrist off Whis' grasp and snorted out loud. He stepped away from the now completely unrecognizable Rezeph, and decided to end this with his final punishment. He raised his left hand forward, his palm facing Rezeph's utterly beaten, broken, and bloodied body. Rezeph let out a grunt when he felt the God of Destruction focusing his powers into his core of existence, his soul.

"You have incurred the wrath of the God of Destruction and now you shall receive divine punishment for your unforgivable actions. You have been judged and therefore, your existence shall be destroyed. Before creation, comes destruction! To keep the balance of this Universe, one must be destroyed for the creation of another to happen. Now, receive the consequences of your wrongdoings!

"Destruction!"

Squeezing the air and tightly closing his hand into a fist, Rezeph's body slowly turned into black dust until there was nothing left of him.

Vegeta turned to Cayena and Anaheim's ghostly apparitions as they faded back into the bluish white flame they were originally supposed to be. The two balls of flames drifted towards him.

"The soul of Cayena Hale shall go ahead and pass over to the otherworld. I gave you the justice you seek and now you shall go in peace," Vegeta told the two souls. The left one that belonged to Cayena seemed to blaze a little as if to thank him, but it pulsed as if in hesitation.

"No, he will not go with you. Anaheim made a contract with me and shall be destroyed just as I did to Rezeph."

The said ball of flame pulsed once more, begging him.

"No," Vegeta told her coldly. "I cannot do that. A contract made with the God of Destruction cannot be voided. He shall not be spared from the consequences of his decision."

Cayena's soul pulsed again.

"What?"

"Please destroy me too. I want to be with Anny wherever he goes. If you destroy him, then please destroy me as well. I can't live another life without him by my side. It would be torture for me to live with the things he won't be able to enjoy any longer, knowing that his existence was destroyed because of me. Please, Hakaishin-sama."

Vegeta stared at Cayena's soul for a moment with an intense gaze. In his mind, he could not understand what Cayena meant. She wanted to be with Anaheim no matter what, even if it would destroy her. It was the same reason why Anaheim took suicide earlier because he wanted to be with Cayena before Vegeta destroys his existence. These two cannot live without the other. It reminded him of his prior client, Saten Matsumoto, who immediately asked him to destroy her existence after he erased that of her husband's and his mistress'. He cannot understand why these people act and think this way at all.

"You're wrong. When you get reincarnated, you will not remember anything about your past life. All your memories will be erased and you will become an entirely new being. You can live your next life well without him," Vegeta told Cayena's soul.

Cayena's soul pulsed once again, pleading him desperately, crying out to him. Vegeta rolled his eyes, getting extremely annoyed.

"Ugh, you really are persistent about this foolish decision of yours," Vegeta growled. "Is this really what you want, Cayena Hale?"

The soul pulsed to reply with a yes.

Vegeta let out an exasperated sigh. "Fine, I will give you what you want. But know this, there's no turning back. You decided on this yourself, I am merely granting your wish to be destroyed because you believe it would give you peace."

Vegeta truly doesn't understand why and how one's destruction could bring them peace at all. He knew he didn't give much thought about this when Saten Matsumoto decided on the same thing because he was disgusted on how ridiculous it was for her to believe that she could not live without her mate at all. He knew Saten was obsessed with Keiji just as Rezeph was with Cayena, only that the latter lacked the violent insanity Rezeph had. He could not comprehend why these mortals do this out of their love for someone so insignificant. Anaheim's fans were willing to give up their existence for his sake. Atla did the same thing for Lemuria. Why were they all willing to sacrifice that much for the sake of love?

Vegeta snorted to himself. They're all pathetic fools who don't have any sense of pride within them, that's all the answer he could think of. Love, just as he was taught when he was still a mortal Saiyan child, could make mortals weak and soft. Love could become someone's greatest weakness and eventually be the cause of their downfall.

Love could even bring their own destruction.

And for this, Cayena Hale deserved to be destroyed in his opinion. There's no room for pathetic fools in his Universe. They don't deserve to exist here. That is his final judgment to this miserable soul. And he shall give her the proper divine punishment she deserved.

The two souls blazed as if to rejoice at the decision they got closer together as if to embrace each other as they accept their fate, "Thank you, Hakaishin-sama."

Vegeta silently snorted in response. With a look devoid of any emotion, he raised his left hand forward, the two balls of flames pulsed and changed color into purple in reaction to him concentrating his destructive powers unto them.

"As stated in the contract made tonight between myself and Anaheim Brozis, I, the God of Destruction, Vegeta Yonsei, is finishing this contract by destroying the contractee's existence, along with that of Cayena Hale's according to her own free will. Before creation, comes destruction! To keep the balance of this Universe, one must be destroyed for the creation of another to happen. All terms stated in this contract have been completed.

"Destruction."

As the two souls got turned into black dust until nothing was left of them, Vegeta turned and unsealed the place, shifting their surroundings back into his home. As the darkness faded away, the God of Destruction saw Bulma standing right before him with a surprisingly cold and angry look. At the back of his mind, Yonshir's words replayed...

"You're the one making a fool out of yourself by trying to believe your own delusions. You refuse to recognize your faults, your weaknesses, and if you continue this, it could bring you your downfall.

"Those feelings you are surely developing for her will eventually grow if you don't stop this. You have to destroy her now before she becomes a greater nuisance to you. I understand that you were once a mortal who used to feel those emotions, and that you still long for them from time to time. But you have to keep in mind that you aren't a mortal anymore. You are now the God of Destruction who only exists to kill and destroy. Nothing else."

That's right. He is the God of Destruction now, the most powerful being in this Universe. This was all he ever wanted, a decision he made a long time ago for the sake of gaining the most powerful position in the cosmos. Whatever stupid mortal emotions he was developing for this Earthling woman will eventually become his weakness, his downfall. These things were completely unnecessary to him if he truly wanted to become the strongest among all creatures in the multiverse. He will not allow anyone or anything to get in his way, in this path to power. He will never sacrifice his existence, his pride, this power, or this position for the sake of such an insignificant mortal.

But why does that cold and angry glare she was giving him feel so intimidating to him all of a sudden? It felt like icicles were being impaled through his supposedly hardened heart. He didn't like it at all. While he loved igniting the fire within her blue eyes everytime he invoke her ire through his teasing, this time he saw no fire within them despite her anger in him. Vegeta knew that kind of fury, it was the same as his own whenever he felt utterly displeased with someone's improper behavior. That cold, quiet, suppressed indignation he know all too well.

He knew that Bulma was very angry at him, and he didn't like it one bit.

Why? Why is it that he didn't like her to be very angry at him this way?

"What have you done to Anaheim?" she asked him with an icy tone.

Ignoring that odd feeling in his chest, Vegeta responded to the question with his typical cold demeanor, "I destroyed him just as our contract stated. But not before he witnessed the destruction of his perpetrator. Cayena Hale asked me to destroy her existence as well, as she said she cannot live her next life without Anaheim."

"What? Even Cayena-san?!" Bulma gasped in disbelief. "How could you speak of such things so lightly?! Were you the reason why Anaheim took suicide? I know I saw you on the rooftop earlier, moments before he jumped off. You said you could hear a mortal's darkest desire and use them to get whatever you want from them. Did you manipulate Anaheim's feelings to get what you want? Is this part of your plan all along? Even Cayena Hale's death?"

Vegeta stared at her in shock for a moment before his expression turned wicked due to his sinister smile, "Is that what you think I did?" Then he let out a dark chuckle. "Yeah, I did just that. So what?"

His cold response and lack of remorse completely stunned Bulma.

"Please tell me you're not serious about that," she muttered breathlessly in her disbelief.

"A God of Destruction doesn't lie, woman. What's good or evil doesn't matter to me. I simply did my duty. Your obvious change in opinion doesn't matter to me either. I'm just baffled to see you change your mind just because you cared for Anaheim as his fan. Heh, just as I thought, that adamance of yours wouldn't last. Now you can stop pretending and forcing yourself to believe that you love and understand me when you just couldn't. You cannot stop me, your fates were already sealed the very moment I descended upon this world."

Bulma could tell how serious he was. He was truly bent on destroying everything in this world no matter what she did, no matter how much she tried to make him see the good things the Earth could offer him. Nothing can change his mind, and nothing can save this world from his wrath after all. She felt disappointed that nothing she did for him held any importance to him at all. It's just as he told her so many times, and after what she just witnessed him do, she realized there's truly nothing she could do anymore. She thought he was starting to like being with her, and that she had a chance to save her world from him, but for some reason, he suddenly decided to throw away all of that because he was too bound to his pride and his duties as the God of Destruction of this Universe. She truly cannot understand the workings of his mind and his capricious mood no matter how much she tried making sense of it.

"Yes, perhaps you were right. I was being a fool and a hypocrite for believing I could love and understand a proud, selfish, evil god like you," Bulma said. "You were right when you said that I would regret this. Fine, let's just end this. You win, Vegeta. I admit my defeat. Now you can do as you wish with me and the Earth, not like I can stop you or anything. It would be better if you destroy this world by blowing up everything on it rather than making humans, especially the innocent ones like Anaheim, suffer for your own entertainment. Go ahead and destroy us now. That's what you want, right?"

Vegeta tilted his head to the side, "Is that what you wish for?" he asked, his tone of voice still as detached as earlier.

"No, but since you still plan on destroying us, what use would it be for me to wish not for you to destroy the Earth? It was my fault that I summoned you here. It was my fault that everyone is suffering due to your divine presence in this world. I did what I could to gain your mercy, I tried showing you what Earth and humans could offer you. It was all but futile because you were dead set on destroying us no matter what."

"Hmph! How ridiculous, I don't entertain reluctant decisions, especially if you think it would suddenly convince me to spare you by forcing me to feel guilty for doing my job. A destroyer god isn't a fool. I don't feel any guilt, remorse, doubts, or even hesitation at all. There's nothing personal about my reasons for destroying someone or something, bestowing destruction to all creation is my job after all. I am the judge, the punisher, and the executioner of everything that exists in this Universe. I gave you a chance and you just blew it.

"I could have destroyed you all whenever I wished to since you believe I was already dead set on doing it, but it turns out that I just wasted my time on this miserable mudball. Whatever, at least I know now that you are no different from the rest of your hapless saps. This game is over. And I would like to forget whatever happened between us these entire three years," he muttered darkly and bitterly as he turned away from her. She missed the look of utter disappointment Vegeta had in his dark eyes as he walked towards his guide angel and told him, "Let's go, Whis."

Whis stared at them both as if he was expecting them to change their minds all of a sudden. Vegeta gave Whis a furious gaze and the guide angel stared back at him an odd look before letting out a disappointed breath. "As you wish, milord."

Right before Bulma's eyes, Vegeta and Whis vanished like some ghostly apparitions, and she found her small apartment return to what it was before the God of Destruction agreed to live with her. The unit was back to its normally messy, small, studio-type look. The white wall she was staring at made her feel heavy-hearted. Now everything in this world will be destroyed and her only regret was that she failed to save everyone from the God of Destruction's divine wrath.

But the world's destruction as she expected him to bestow didn't happen at all. It seems only her own world was destroyed the very moment he left her there. Those words he told her about wanting to forget everything that happened between them struck and hurt her the most.

What had he done to her?
