Chapter 70 Inkling Training

The brothers were out in the woods as Yuto relaxes against a tree as Yugo looks around. They had to think about what happened back then,
"So are we going to see what the forms will do?" Yuto said.
"Yes." Yugo changes to his inkling form. "I can't find the right books yet so it's best to test it out."
He goes to a pond and stares.
"Wait, isn't that connected to the beach?" Yuto said.
If he remembers, theres a small stream that's salt water many warned them about.
"Well we are aquatic like creatures so we should-" Yugo touches the water and screams before pulling his hand out.
"No way, we can't swim in water in these forms." Yuto said.
"Okay, my mistake." Yugo admits it.
He changes back and checks his hand for any damage.
"It seems we can't touch salt water it seems." Yuto said.
"But how? What are these forms meant to swim on?" Yugo said.
"Uh, ink maybe." Yuto guessed.
"Ink?" Yugo wonders.
"Yeah, we're basically made of ink in them." Yuto said.
"If that's true how are we supposed to use them?" Yugo was now thinking.
"I don't know, your the smart one." Yuto said.
Yugo grunts as he thinks of something.
"It's not like we have something to shoot ink." Yugo said.
Then something dropped behind them.
"Huh?" They looked back.
They saw two green looking water looking guns on the ground.
"What are those?" Yuto said.
Yugo picks one up and saw a name. "Splattershot."
"What's a splattershot?" Yuto said.
Yugo aims and shoots orange ink.
"Huh?" They said.
"It shoots ink." Yugo said.
"Okay, we just said that at random, who just dropped this stuff." Yuto looks around.
"I don't know, but let's try them out. "Yugo said.
They transformed into they're inkling forms. They shoot around and changed to the squid forms to move around inside of the ink.
"It seems we are able to enter ink." Yugo said as he jumps out before going back inside.
Yuto got out and changes to the humanoid form. "Okay, at least we know what these things can do."
Yugo came out too. "Yes, but I wonder what else inklings have?"
"Well we won't know until we find more about grandma." Yuto said.
Ashley then appeared in her inkling form. "Hey bros!"
They screamed looking at her.
"Don't scare us!" Yuto said.
"Sorry, but I had to come since we are siblings, plus now we match." She hugs them.
"Okay Ashley." Yuto pushes her off.
"We were just training using our forms." Yugo said.
"Plus we found out we can't even go inside salt water in them." Yuto added.
"Well too bad, I wanted to surprises the others on the beach." Ashley said.
"Yeah don't even try or you'll kill yourself." Yuto said.
"But I wonder where did our grandma come from? We weren't even able to know about this inkling forms from the world we went." Yugo said.
They heard a noise and saw Left and Right as they waved.
"And Left and Right are watching us." Yuto frowns.
"They came with me. I think they wanted to look after you two." Ashley said.
"Is there anyone here?" Yugo questions.
"No just us." Ashley said.
"Well let's go before someone-" Yuto stops as they heard a sound.
Teddy came out eating ice cream. "So yummy!"
The three were inside the ink nearby as Left and Right hide on another spot.
Teddy looks at the ink. "Huh, someone must have dropped a bucket of ink. They should have cleaned it."
He walks away as the trio rise up slowly.
"I don't want the others to find out about this yet." Yuto said.
"We'll have to go back home now." Yugo said.
"But I wanted to see what we can do more." Ashley complained.
"Another time!" They said to her.
Teddy looks back and they were hidden again.
"I thought I heard a squid." He shrugs before going away.
"That was too close." Yugo said.
Yuto nodded and they kept going back home.
they managed to avoid something bad but now they have to find a less public place to train they're new forms and they won't dare to use the Shadow world.
Note: The brothers tested out they're Inkling forms while avoiding getting caught.
"Yes, let's just go back home." Yuto said.
"Okay." Ashley sighs.
The three of them went back out as the twins came, they changed back to normal.
"Okay, let's head back." Yugo said.
The group walked back home, later they passed by Junes and they heard a few talking.
"Hey did you hear? Someone was shooting paintballs at the forest."
"Really? They should be careful if not people will catch them."
The brothers got worried hearing that.
"Oh great." Yugo mutters.
"We better keep a look out or find a better spot." Yuto said.
Yugo nodded at what he said.
'We can't go to the forest, we already made a test with the water, if Dojima finds out we will be in trouble.'
The brothers kept going avoiding anyone for the time.
"I can't believe someone found that. Did Teddy say anything?" Yugo said.
"Well the bear doesn't keep quiet. I hope he doesn't mention any squid noises." Yuto frowns.
"That would make things worse for us." Yugo said.
"Ashley might be able to escape since she only changes when she's with us." Yuto said.
"That was too close." Yugo said.
Yuto nodded and they kept going back home.
