Chapter 75 Yumi's Hope

Yugo was at his place looking at his book, he has been thinking about Yumi and how she's been dealing with her father being sick.

"I really hope she can be strong."

As someone that lost his parents, he knows how hard it is. He didn't even get to say goodbye to them.

Yugo then got a call, he saw it was Yumi and that made him answer. "Yumi?"

"Yugo! It's..." She cries.

"Where are you now?" He asked.

"At the hospital." She said.

He runs there as fast as he can to make sure he makes it on time. He arrives and sees her at a bench looking down.

"Yumi," goes to her side.

"Yugo!" She hugs him. "He... Dad... He's not going to make it."

He hugs her back since he knows how it feels.

"I don't know what to do?" She said.

He looks at her in the eyes. "It's better to say your goodbyes, you'll regret it later if you don't."

Yumi looks at him and nodded. "Okay."

She goes inside of the room as the door closes, he was next to it.

"Dad... I'm so sorry for how I treated you." She told him.

He looks through the window to see Yumi next to her mother as a man was on the bed holding her hand.

"I love you." Yumi cries.

Yugo stares at the scene and it reminded him of how he and his brother suffered. He looks at the colors of the outside since when his parents died he took the worse of them both. Losing the ability to see it until his brother helped him.

"Dad... Thank you for bringing me... into this world..." He heard Yumi talk to her dad again.

Later

She came out and Yugo hugs her again as it happened.

"He's..." She flinches.

"It's alright Yumi." He rubbed her back. "At least he got see you again. You managed to get something I didn't."

She frowns. "You didn't get a chance."

"Let's go." He takes her outside to get some fresh air.

She smiles and feels warm being with Yugo, she just hopes she can go forward.

Next day

She was now at the drama club with Yugo there and she looks around.

"You know, I came here to basically escape reality, because of what happened in my life. To be able to pretend."

Yugo looks at her. "Many have ways to deal with pain."

"But, i'm going to quit and help my mother." She said.

"What?" He got surprised.

"It's for the best. Since it hid my sorrow and true feelings after what happened with dad."

"Dad told me my name means bear fruit. Which means I was they're fruit, they're pride and joy." She has a tear coming out from her eye.

She then gives him a Annotated Script.

"This is my gift for you. The last thing from this old me. You know i've been getting close and it feels like... I really like you." She blushes looking down.

"But you wouldn't-" She smiles.

"What if I did?" He asked.

She got surprised. "What don't be silly."

Yumi turns around to face the wall. "Just walk away and i'll know your answer."

She waited before Yugo hugs her from behind making her face red.

"Yukiko allowed her other girls and... Let me help you." He said.

She got surprised before she holds his arms with a smile.

"Yugo... I love you." She said.

She can feel a special love between them and hopes they can stay together got a very long time. Even more... Both of they're lives.

"Me too Yumi. Me too." He smiles.

He does care for her a lot. And he doesn't want to risk her having to suffer anymore. He went through a similar experience and Yumi still has her mother.

But he wants to be at her side since nobody deserved to be alone after losing a parent.

"Your... Really the boy I fell in love with." Yumi smiles back at him.

The two went out as she was happy being with him.

Back at the house

Yuto got a text from his brother that said what happened.

"Well, good for him." He smiles.

He still remembers that he has been trying to help Yumi feel better after what's been happening with her dad.

He looks outside a window. "I know you guys from KoiTec have been doing shaddy things. Even more you "professor" what have you been doing to my brother?"

If he didn't take Yugo out of town back to they're hometown he might have gotten worse if he kept taking those pills.

"One of these days you guys will fall and i'll be there to witness it. Nobody does that to my brother and gets away with it."

Ashley was nearby. "I wish I found you guys sooner after hearing about that."

"I know, but we can't change the past. Only try to bring justice to those corrupt guys. They're up to something and we gotta find out."

She nodded. "I will be there to help too."

The two went to relax for a bit as Ashley suggested a movie while Yugo was hanging out with Yumi.

Those two drama members are meant to be together as much Yukiko and Yugo. So the two siblings gave Yugo his space.

Note: Yumi storyline is done and Yugo helped her overcome the grief since he knows what it feels to lose a parent, it was something I didn't like the anime as they skipped her story among others, which is why I prefer the games a bit more.
