Chapter 78 Desti's Hope

At the house Yuto and Ashley stared at Desti who was looking nervous while smiling.
"Theres another inkling here?" Yuto said.
"Well Octoling, but close enough." Desti said. "So can you show me your other forms."
Ashley looks at Yuto before they shrugged going into they're inkling forms.
"Well not bad." Desti said.
"Thanks." Yuto shrugs.
"So what are you all doing here in this city?" Desti asked.
"Outside of being our home. We're trying to solve a case." Yuto told her.
"You mean the killings?" She got surprised.
"You heard?" Ashley asked.
"It's all over the papers I found." Desti told her.
"Well you should know how important this is then." Yugo said.
"Yeah, but are you sure you want to do this?" Desti said.
"This is our home and we will make sure that we do it." Yuto said.
Desti stares at him before she chuckles.
"What's so funny?" He questions.
"It's just... You reminded me of a friend that I lost a long time ago. She would say something like that." Desti smiles.
The trio looked at each other and wondered who was her friend.
"Well I can teach you three how to be a real splatfest contender." Desti told them.
"What's splatfest?" Ashley said.
"Huh?" Desti looks at her.
"We weren't born in your world remember." Yugo said.
"Right. I'm used to more of my kind knowing." Desti frowns.
"Well we never heard of it. What's it about?" Yuto said.
"It's basically a event where a team of four go through challenges against another team to win to become splatfest champion." She explained.
"Oh." Yuto nodded.
But then he looks at Yugo and Ashley.
"We are only missing one." Yuto said surprising his siblings.
She chuckles. "Well if you want you'll need a fourth one."
"Well I can try if it will make you two happy." Ashley shrugs.
"Now do you have a training area at least?" Desti asked.
Later the triplets showed it to her posing.
She examines. "Hmmm... Not bad. It's good for a beginner."
"Hey." The trio frowned.
"Hey don't worry. It's what you three need." She said.
"Okay, so what are we going to do now?" Yuto said.
"Let's start with the basics and shoots targets." Desti said.
All three started shooting as the boys did better as Ashley missed a lot.
Desti frowns and looks at Ashley.
"I'm not that good of a shot." She said.
"Are you kidding me?! You use a magnum!" Yuto said.
"Using it is not the same as being good." Ashley said.
Desti rubs her head and sighs. "This might take longer."
She told them to keep training as she goes to look around for anything.
Nearby
Yu was walking forward after a job he did. He moves forward before he saw a shape move around the forest.
He got curious and goes inside to check. Maybe it will have a clue.
Yu looks around before Desti peeks out waving.
"Oh hi."
He blinks at her. "Huh, your different."
She got stunned. "Your not freaking out?"
"Why would I?" He said.
She blinks before shrugging. "Well anyway. What are you doing here?"
"I just finished a job and saw someone."
"Oh you saw me. Well I should be more careful.. I'm Desti."
"I'm Yu Narukami."
"Well Yu, if you keep this a secret from others... And I mean anyone since I don't want anyone to hear about this." She goes up to his face to make a point.
She then goes back. "I might teach a few tricks I know."
The siblings will need a fourth member and this guy is already too deep.
Yu thinks. "Okay."
"Good. And i'll make sure to punish you if you break that promise. But remember you can always ask for help too." She smiles.
Yu nodded and he sensed a new bond as it changed.

"Now i'll be going." She goes back to the forest.
Yu can feel that Desti was special outside of her appearance.
"I wonder what she can show me."
He then walks back home since Nanako is waiting for him.
She goes back to where the siblings are and Ashley noticed.
"What took you so long?" Ashley asked.
"Just a few things." Desti said.
"Well we're getting better." Yugo said.
"That's good to hear. Well better keep going as we have more training to do." Desti said.
She wonders about Yu and the fact he didn't scream or anything like that could mean he can be the fourth member of they're team. She could have joined but she's not feeling it.
She seems to enjoy training others for that now.
"Okay let's keep going." She told them.
"You said that again." Yugo said.
She ignores him and kept they're training as she sees big things from the siblings.
Yugo wonders what might be happening to Desti now but they have to focus on they're training since it seems to make her happy seeing them get better.
'If it makes her feel more calm than we should do it for her.'
Note: Desti started training them all and even met up with Yu, who got the Hope Arcana from her, she has themes of it even more when it comes to the reverse arcana since she's in the two sides.
