AN: Story's Shadow and I are back, and we have another exciting update for Vixen. This chapter is a bit more filler, but trust me, the action really gets going going next chapter. Story's Shadow and I hope you all enjoy.

-NYC, S.H.I.E.L.D. Camp, The Next Day-

Crusader entered the tent where Gwen still laid injured, her father asleep in the chair next to her. The Continuum commander walked over to the young woman's bed, kneeling down. She turned to him, eyes widening for a moment before they relaxed.

"Have my friends left yet?"

"Not yet, I believed you'd want to see them off with the others."

"I would like to...how is Vixen?"

As an answer, Crusader motioned with one hand and a dim golden light enveloped Gwen. When it faded, she gasped in surprise and relief. There was no pain anywhere there had been just a moment ago. She sighed in relief and turned to her father, though he hadn't woken up, before she turned back to Crusader.

"Thank you."

Crusader nodded to her, standing up.

"Your friends are preparing what I informed them that they'd need on their journey."

"It's not going to be the same without them."

"The task they have is temporary and will return."

"I know, I just-"

"You're afraid of what lays ahead."

"Can you blame me?"

"No, I understand."

"You're afraid? You?"

Crusader sighed as he exited the tent with Gwen after she laid a piece of paper on her bed in front of her father, giving him a short note.

"Remember I've faced Imperious before and it's not a battle I enjoyed. He's one of the most formidable opponents I've ever faced. As we both know just how powerful and dangerous he is, caution cannot be discounted in the battles ahead. I just worry for what he might do. He's a brilliant strategist and a mighty warrior, the army and I that faced him in the last battle of our previous war with him learned that all too well."

Gwen nodded.

"You really think getting these Infinity Stones will give us the edge?"

"I believe so though it's not a overwhelming edge, his magic is powerful enough to challenge my people's power and his armies are vast. We have to gain or take any weapon and advantage we can get...otherwise this war may end as it did before or worse."

Gwen gulped unintentionally. The Continuum commander looked over the camp, seeing all the people helping the injured in and around the space present. Some only had minor cuts or bruises while others couldn't even walk from the physical trauma that had been inflicted. He frowned before he clapped his hands and a dim golden light enveloped all the injured and wounded in the camp.

As soon as the light faded, all of those people had been completely healed. Their eyes were wide as were those of who were helping them around. The camp was then filled with the sounds of joyous crying. Gwen turned to him, eyes wide. Crusader sighed, a small smile on his face.

"Took a little bit of energy, but it was well worth it."

"T-Thank you."

Crusader nodded to her.

"Now, I believe you will want to see your friends off."

-S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ, Locker Room-

The Secret Warriors were quiet as half of them packed what Crusader had instructed them to gather for their journey. Daisy looked at the blade of her katana that she'd been gifted, the metal gleaming. A slow, unsteady breath escaped her as she sheathed it in the scabbard. Riri looked over her equipment in front of her, hands on her hips. Kamala looked at her Kusarigama, lip quivering, as the weight of what laid ahead washed over her. Chavez put the daggers into a backpack while she looked at a photo of her and the other Secret Warriors, including Vixen, inside her locker. Dante latched the axe on his back while he gathered his other gear.

Daisy turned to them, having gathered everything she needed to bring.

"Ready?"

The others turned to her, nodding.

Vixen, Gwen, Doreen, and Rayshaun all sat on a bench looking at them. Daisy turned to them, specifically at Rayshaun.

"Rayshaun, can you handle things with team while I'm gone?"

"Be proud to."

She nodded.

"I think we're ready."

Gwen turned to them, her legs shaking a little.

"A-Are you sure you guys want to go through with this? C-Crusader could still choose some other people to do this."

Dante nodded.

"He chose us specifically, we need to do this."

"B-But we always do missions like this as a team, all of us together."

Chavez sighed, her breath seemingly unsteady.

"Yes...but this is a threat bigger than anything we've ever faced before. If this mission gives us a chance, we have to take it."

Vixen's ears had been drooped.

"You have to be careful, dad hasn't told me where you'll be going."

Daisy nodded at this grimly.

"That's probably for the best, you can keep your focus on the fight here."

Kamala turned to her, gasping.

"I-I mean I wouldn't be opposed to them worrying about us, I'm worried for us."

Riri rested a hand on her shoulder, despite it feeling a little unsteady.

"We're all worried about each other...this isn't something any of us have ever done before."

Rayshaun nodded.

"We're at war...and wars aren't always fought in the same place."

Doreen turned to him, gasping a little under her breath. She opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out. Daisy turned to her team, trying to present as confident and resilient a pose as possible.

"It's our duty to protect this world, we need to do this. You all know this, we can't let that genocidal bastard win."

The group nodded to her, at different times rather than at the same time.

The Secret Warriors stood before the gathered group of Director Fury, Metatron, Captain America, Captain Marvel, and Crusader. The Continuum commander took a step forward.

"Have you prepared?"

Those chosen nodded.

Crusader snapped his fingers. The moment after this a machine appeared behind him, its golden and marble design sparkling in the sun's light. It at first appeared like most modern public airplanes though it was at least twice the size and its outer design was likened in the visage of a griffin in flight.

"This is the Golden Griffin, it will be yours for the duration of your journey through the stars."

Most of the Secret Warriors gasped at the sight of the aircraft, its regal stature standing proudly over those present. Captain Marvel gazed at it, her eyes a little wide as she looked over the design.

"Gotta admit, I'm impressed. She's a beauty."

Crusader nodded to her, a small smile on her face.

"Some of our scientists have prepared its A.I., living quarters, and tech for your needs."

Riri turned to Crusader.

"A.I.?"

Crusader nodded.

"The A.I. will aid you in traveling, day to day needs, and training."

Daisy turned to him, an eyebrow raised a little.

"Training?"

"There's a hard light, transforming hologram room for your team to train. It's been downloaded with battle programs and combat techniques to sharpen your skills and tactics. I advise you to utilize it as often as you can. It also has an onboard teleporter from which Continuum soldier can arrive if the need arises, I pray it will not."

Captain America and Director Fury looked to those preparing to leave, the latter spoke up.

"Agents, this world is in dire need of any advantage we can gain over these invaders. Your mission is crucial to this war and you must gather these Infinity Stones to prevent Imperious from obtaining them. This world is counting on you."

Kamala grimaced a little at this as she whispered.

"No pressure or anything."

Captain America fixed them with a confident yet cautious smile.

"You all have been trained well and been gifted powerful tools to see this mission completed. I believe in you, you will obtain these Infinity Stones and will weaken our foe. We will hold the line here and give you as much time as we can to complete your mission. Good luck soldiers."

The group nodded.

Captain Marvel chuckled, patting Captain America on the shoulder.

"Good speech."

She then turned to the agents.

"Go kick some ass, guys. We'll make sure not to beat up this Imperious too much while you're gone."

The group chuckled.

Captain America turned to his friend, an amused smile on his face.

"Interesting speech."

She grinned and chuckled.

Metatron took a step forward, fixing his golden eyes on the group. Those present turned to him.

"I don't know what you shall find in the stars on your journey, you have the weight of this world in your hands it seems."

The group shared a look of uncertainty at this, though before anyone one could respond the Wolf continued.

"That is why you have the hearts of every family and friend with you as you take this path to ensure the freedom of your world. With each victory here and where you go the fight against the false dragon shall grow and inspire each of you to battle on. Know that despite what you may face from here on till you return, you have everyone here with you in spirit. Know that you are not alone as you go beyond."

He then bowed to them and in return the Secret Warriors bowed to him.

Captain Marvel's eyes widened at this then turned to Captain America and whispered.

"Seems you got some competition in the speech department."

Captain America chuckled, smiling.

The Secret Warriors turned to one another, hugging and crying, before those chosen entered the ship. And soon it ascended into the sky with a roar before disappearing into the distance of the great beyond.

Soon most of the group left until it was only Doreen and Rayshaun left standing looking up at the stars. Doreen felt tears moving down her face as she sniffled. Rayshaun had an arm around her.

"It's going to be ok, you know that."

"I-I just...I just thought we'd all be fighting this war together, like literally side by side."

Rayshaun gave her a sad smile.

"I know, so did I...it's just...we have to do what we can to win."

Doreen was quiet, still looking up into the sky.

"Why couldn't we have all gone?"

"Some of us needed to stay to fight here. You heard Cap, we have to hold the line here."

"I know...I just...I can't help but think what Metatron said...about our hearts...and spirits being with them...but...I'm not sure if theirs are with us here."

Rayshaun was the one who was quiet now for a few moments.

"It's..I know it's..."

Doreen was still looking up at the sky, hoping to see her friends.

"Half of your team is gone. Soon it'll just be you."

Doreen's eyes widened at this. Her head moved side to side swiftly though she didn't see anyone but Rayshaun.

"D-Did you hear that?"

Rayshaun turned to her, confused.

"Hear what?"

"I-I...I thought I heard someone talking...whispering..."

"I didn't hear anything...but your hearing is better than mine."

Rayshaun looked around, stepping away to find anyone around them. After a few minutes of scouring the area he returned to Doreen.

"I'm not seeing anyone."

"M-Maybe it was my imagination...or maybe it's the stress."

"Hey."

He stepped forward, hugging her.

"It's going to be ok. We'll get through this, don't worry."

Doreen sighed after a moment, a small smile on her face.

"You're right, we will."

He smiled and nodded, before he walked off. Doreen moved to follow him before she thought she heard that same soft voice, though she couldn't make out any words. It felt right beside or behind her though the only thing she could detect around her was the wind. A look of uncertainty was fixed on her face as she went back inside.

AN: So the Secret Warriors have been divided with those chosen going into space to seek out the Infinity Stones. I hope you all like the exotic locations we have planned for each of the Stones. Keep in mind that Imperious already has the Space Stone, the others are free gain. Until next time we hope you enjoyed.
