Chapter 31: Meeting The Father Of The Titans! The Colossal Titan Regigigas!
Once Zoroark was gone, everyone else gathered around Michael.
Twilight - "So what's the plan for right now Michael?"
Michael - "For right now, all we can do is hope that Lord Uxie can avoid Teams Galactic and Neo Plasma for as long as possible. In the meantime, Advent and I have to challenge Candice and her gym, along with me entering Snowpoint Temple to battle and catch Lord Regigigas. Speaking of which, have you learned anything now about Lord Regigigas while you were here Weiss?"
Weiss - "Sadly no. Seems like no one, including Candice, know anything about Lord Regigigas. What I have heard about was some kind of titan statue that's at the bottom of the temple."
Michael facepalmed.
Michael - "You've got to be kidding me…"
Roxanne - "What's wrong Michael?"
Cynthia then quickly understood.
Cynthia - "Michael. Don't tell us that the statue in the bottom of Snowpoint Temple IS actually Lord Regigigas?"
Michael - "It is."
Michael let that piece of info sink in before he continued speaking.
Michael - "For those of you that don't know. Lord Regigigas is the one that CREATED the other five Regis: Lord Regirock, Lady Regice, Lady Registeel, Lord Regieleki, and Lady Regidrago. But there's also rumors that even if any of those five ARE caught by a trainer, Lord Regigigas can STILL control them."
The girls felt their blood run cold at hearing that.
Clair - "That's not all of Lord Regigigas' legend, is it?"
Michael - "No, it's not. Lord Regigigas is also know to survive active magma and super frigid temperatures. But the biggest part of his legend is what he did in the part which caused him to become a statue in the first place."
Candice - "And that would be?"
Michael - "After creating the Legendary Golems, Regigigas was tasked with pulling the landmasses of the world together and binded them with ropes, thus creating the Pokémon regions as we know them today. It was then at some point between then and now that he fell into a deep sleep in the deepest parts of Snowpoint Temple."
Ruby - "So then you want to catch Lord Regigigas first before your gym challenge, right?"
Michael - "That's correct. But I'm guessing I need permission to enter the temple, don't I?"
Michael had turned his attention towards Cynthia while asking. He already had an idea that he was gonna need her permission to enter the temple since she was Sinnoh's current champion after all. Cynthia then smirked.
Cynthia - "You have my full permission to enter Snowpoint Temple then Michael. Just make sure to give Lord Regigigas a fun battle while you're down there."
Michael - "I will."
While the girls went about the city to take in the sights, Michael slowly made his way over to Snowpoint Temple. He was also joined by Cynthia, since she had to tell the one guarding the temple entrance that she gave the ok for Michael to enter it.
Michael - "From what I DO know about Snowpoint Temple, there were a few puzzles that needed to be solved to be able to reach where Lord Regigigas is. And that back during the days of Hisui, the entrance was mainly on the second lowest level. But all of this snow that's fallen since then is the reason for where the temple entrance is right now."
Cynthia turned to see Michael lost in thought.
Cynthia - "You ok there Michael?"
Michael - "Just fine Cynthia. Just going over the temple's history in my head."
Cynthia - "Well we're right here at the entrance. So you can explain the history of this place to me on the way down."
Michael - "Right."
Soon the pair was right in front of the woman guarding the entrance of Snowpoint Temple.
Female Guard - "Ah. Hello there Miss Cynthia. Do you need something here at the temple?"
Cynthia - "Nothing much. Just that my shared boyfriend Michael is gonna challenge it."
Female Guard - "Oh, ok then. Have fun with your challenge. But just be weary of the super strong Pokémon in the temple."
Michael - "Don't worry. We both will."
Soon Michael and Cynthia entered the temple. Espeon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Dragcaria, along with Cynthia's Garchomp and Lucario, had also come out to help solve the temple's many puzzles. As they slowly made their way through it, solving each puzzle they came across, Michael did notice that the puzzles got harder the deeper into the temple he and Cynthia went.
Michael - "Man this is a fun challenge at least."
Soon they reached the bottom-most floor. While Cynthia and her Pokémon, along with Espeon, Glaceon, and Dragcaria, stayed back near the stairs so they wouldn't be in the way, Michael and Leafeon made their way over to the statue in the middle of the floor. Michael then reached into his bag and brought out the three shards of Regirock, Regice, and Registeel. Then the shards glowed, which caused the "statue" to start moving. As Regigigas moved to stand up, Michael looked over and noticed how fidgety Leafeon was being.
Michael - "You ok there Leafeon?"
Leafeon - "I'm fine Michael. Just super excited to have my first battle against a Legendary Pokémon."
Soon Regigigas was fully standing.
Lucario - "Man Lord Regigigas is giant."
Dragcaria - "I'm more surprised at how much of a brave front Michael and Leafeon are putting up right now."
Glaceon - "Hey Espeon. Is it just me, or does Leafeon look more high energy than normal ever since we entered the temple?"
Espeon - "I have noticed that Glaceon. But I believe she's just excited to have her first ever battle against a legendary Pokémon."
While stating what she wanted to help calm Glaceon's nerves, Espeon noticed something very familiar about Leafeon's abundance of energy.
Espeon - "There's no mistaking it. It's the same as when Delcatty fought against Lady Kyogre back at Sootopolis City in Hoenn. Delcatty's unwavering will allowed her to achieve Mega Soul Evolution. And I have a feeling the same thing's gonna happen to Leafeon. Hell, I'll predict that Michael's gonna fight Lord Heatren soon, and he'll use Glaceon against him. And I'll also predict that Glaceon will achieve Mega Soul Evolution during that battle too."
? - "This should be a fun battle to watch."
Espeon jumped as Delcatty appeared next to her.
Espeon - "Could you please not do that."
Delcatty - "Then you should've sensed my presence already."
Dragcaria - "How long have you been out for Delcatty?"
Delcatty - "Since we entered the temple. I was gonna offer to help at first, but then it seemed like guys had it all taken care of. So I just silently stayed back and enjoyed the show of wits."
Meanwhile, Regigigas had bent his head down to look and see who had awoken him.
Regigigas - "I tAkE iT yOu ArE tHe OnE wHo AwOkEn Me?"
Michael - "I am Lord Regigigas. My name is Michael Masi, and I wish to battle you."
Regigigas - "Ah, I sEe. I hAd BeEn WoNdErInG wHo WaS tHe OnE tHaT hAd CaUgHt ThReE oF mY cHiLdReN aLrEaDy."
Michael - "If it makes you feel any better Lord Regigigas. Lord Regirock, Lady Regice, and Lady Registeel were very tough opponents despite the counters I had for them."
Regigigas - "ThAt Is VeRy GoOd To HeAr InDeEd. NoW i TaKe It YoU'rE cHaLlEnGiNg Me WiTh YoUr LeAfEoN hErE?"
Michael - "I am. And that you're her very first Legendary opponent."
Regigigas - "ThEn YoU bOtH bEtTeR gIvE mE eVeRyThInG yOu'Ve GoT."
Leafeon - "Oh we intend to."
Regigigas - "GoOd To HeAr. NoW tHeN. lEt ThE cHaLlEnGe BeGiN!"
Michael - "Let's go Leafeon!"
Leafeon - "Yes sir!"
Michael activated his battle disk as he and Leafeon jumped back to one side of the temple floor, which caused an aura to surround Regigigas.

Michael - "Leafeon got lucky there. But the further this battle drags on, the closer Lord Regigigas gets to reaching his true strength."

This time both Pokémon took glancing blows from their opponent's attack. Leafeon grimaced a bit as she landed back in front of Michael.
Michael - "You ok there Leafeon?"
Leafeon - "I'm good Michael. Nothing I can't handle."
But Michael knew that Leafeon was truly trying to hide just how much pain she was in.
Michael - "The Booster cards end this turn. So next turn is where we really need to find a way to endure Lord Regigigas' assault."

As Leafeon rushed at Regigigas, she stumbled from wincing at the pain in her side that she got from the glancing blow of Regigigas' last attack. This in turn caused her to take the full force of Regigigas' current attack, which sent her crashing into the temple's wall and crumbing to the floor in a heap.
Everyone - "Leafeon!/Sis!"
Michael punched the floor, angry at himself for not pulling Leafeon from the battle sooner.
Michael - "I'm sorry Leafeon… I've failed you…"
Suddenly, Leafeon slowly stood up through sheer willpower, shocking everyone.
Glaceon - "Leafeon…"
Leafeon - "That better not had been ALL of your power Lord Regigigas. Cause I still have some energy left in me for one more tussle!"
Regigigas - "ThAt WaS mY mAx PoWeR sO fAr. BuT iN tWo TuRnS, yOu BoTh WiLl SeE mY tRuE fUlL sTrEnGtH!"
Suddenly Leafeon's aura flared, which then resonated with Michael's Key Ring.
Michael - "This is just like back with Delcatty…"
Michael then quickly knew what to do.

Michael - "Lady Arceus, hear my plea! Let my bond with Leafeon lead to the birth of a new evolution! Go, Mega Soul Evolution! Come forth, Mega Soul Leafeon!"
Everyone watched as Leafeon's soul aura synced with Michael's Key Ring. This then caused Leafeon to Mega Soul Evolve. The light then died down, showing Leafeon to still have her original body, but she also had now insect antennas on her head and insect wings on her back.
Michael - "Well this is a bit unique. But then again the similar thing happened to Espeon during the battle with Lord Deoxys when she achieved Mega Soul Evolution."
Michael crouched on one knee as Mega Soul Leafeon walked over to him.
Mega Soul Leafeon - "So what's the plan Michael?"
Michael looked at his current hand. Then at Regigigas. Soon he quickly came up with a solid battle plan and whispered it in Mega Soul Leafeon's ear.
Mega Soul Leafeon - "You sure this plan will work?"
Michael pets Mega Soul Leafeon's head.
Michael - "Just have faith Leafeon. Everything will work out in the end."
Mega Soul Leafeon - "Yes sir!"
Mega Soul Leafeon then ran back out onto the battlefield.
Regigigas - "ThE wIlL aNd HeArT yOu TwO hAvE sHoWn HeRe HaS iNsPiReD mE. iN fAcT, i'Ll Do NoThInG tHiS tUrN."
Michael - "You sure about doing that Lord Regigigas?"
Regigigas - "YoU mAy CaLl It An 'AcT oF gOoDwIlL' fRoM mE. bEsIdEs, ThIs Is ThE lAsT tUrN fOr My SlOw StArT aBiLiTy AnYwAy."
Michael - "Good. This can be the perfect way to test out Mega Soul Leafeon's new found abilities and power. Field Card activate! Blooming Meadow! Mega Soul Aerial Leaf Seed Scissor!"
Michael then quickly looked up Mega Soul Leafeon's new abilities. And what he saw surprised him.
Michael - "Well this is quite the twist."
Michael's Hand: 6 - 1 = 5

Everyone was completely stunned at Leafeon's new strength.
Cynthia - "Well that was certainly stronger than before."
Delcatty - "Not only that. It seems like Leafeon's attack healed her as well."
Michael - "That's because it did my dear Delcatty."
Dragcaria - "How so?"
Michael - "First is Leafeon's typing. If her new appearance wasn't a big giveaway, she goes from being a pure Grass-Type to being a dual Grass and Bug-Type."
Garchomp - "So that means X-Scissor gets a power boost from the change in typing. But what about Aerial Ace? It seemed to have gotten stronger too."
Michael - "That's where the first of Leafeon's two completely new abilities comes in. It's called Nature's Return. If Leafeon uses any moves that's of a type she's normally weak to while in her Mega Soul Evolution, those moves gain a 50% boost in power. But. That's only if she has a one type weakness. Only three other Pokémon are dual Grass and Bug-Types, and that's the entire Swaddle line. And of all the types this combination is weak too, only two types do four times the normal damage, and that's Fire and Flying. Leafeon's fourth move, Aerial Ace, is the latter of those two. So as such, it's power doubles before everything else is factored it. As for while Leafeon got healed, that's due to your other completely new ability, Nature's Blessing. Now even though it's not truly stared, all Pokémon have a certain max amount of HP, or Hit Points. When they're HP hits zero, they're knocked out and can no longer be part of a battle unless they're revived or taken to a Pokémon Center. Besides potions, and either Oran or Sitrus berries, there aren't a lot of other ways to heal a Pokémon. Nature's Blessing here is the ability version of moves like Giga Drain and Leech Life. For each Grass and/or Bug-Type move Leafeon attacks her opponent with, she recovers a 1/16th of her Max HP."
Espeon - "I'm guessing the ability can stack on itself then?
Michael - "It can. When Leafeon uses a combo move, each Grass and Bug-Type used in it counts as a separate time Nature's Blessing activates. So just using Leaf Seed Scissor already brings back 3/16ths of her Max HP. Then if I'm using Blooming Meadow on top of it, that's a full quarter of her Max HP back when the turn ends after she attacks."

Michael threw the Ultra Ball at Regigigas, where it hit him on the head and sucked him inside it before falling to the ground.

Michael smirked as he walked over, picking up the Ultra Ball with Regigigas in it as Leafeon ran over to him.
Michael - "Alright! We just caught Lord Regigigas!"
Leafeon joined in the celebration as she returned to her normal form. Seen the others joined them.
Cynthia - "Congrats on catching Lord Regigigas Michael. Now let's return to the Pokémon Center and get Leafeon healed. Along with informing the others about what happened here."
Michael - "Good thinking."
Soon Michael and Cynthia, along with their Pokémon, returned to the Pokémon Center.
