Ahsoka's POV

Ahsoka closed the door curtains behind her, even with the knowledge that Anakin was right behind her. She sat down on the old couch and sure enough, Anakin burst into the cot.

He wasted no time. "What's the matter, Ahsoka?"

"Nothing," she replied, possibly choosing the most obvious lie she could use.

"So you stormed off in front of everyone for no reason?"

"I said I'm not feeling well."

Anakin sighed and sat down next to her. "Nobody gets sick that fast, Ahsoka. Is there something on your mind?"

Ahsoka resisted the urge to bury her face in her palms. There was absolutely no way in hell she was discussing this with Anakin. She didn't even know what was going on herself! She had never experienced anything like whatever that cold, piercing sensation was that she had felt back there. There was just no way she could stay there and look at.. whatever Steela and Lux were doing.

"Ahsoka?" Anakin repeated.

"I don't know!"

She might have yelled that a bit too loud.

Anakin looked a little taken aback, and they ended up just staring at each other. She could almost see some understanding in his eyes, but what would he know about these things? Nothing.

She was doing her best to try and stop whatever was happening to her, but it just wasn't working. It hadn't been like this the last time she met Lux. Then again, that time they had been busy trying not to die. Still, she cringed just thinking about that tent incident.

Anakin broke the silence. "I know how you're feeling."

"You don't."

"Well, I can make a pretty good guess."

Ahsoka sighed.

"Everyone has those kinds of feelings, Ahsoka, and they're completely natural," Anakin started.

Oh, hell no.

"You might feel confused, but I promise you it's normal and nothing to feel weird about", he continued.

Stop now.

"But you know, as Jedi we need to find ways to deal with emotions like these. You must keep purpose before feelings, especially when on an assignment like this. Distractions are dangerous."

She almost wanted to ask him for advice, but she just couldn't do that with a subject like this. Merely out of principle.

"That's not even what this is abou-" she tried.

"Come on, Ahsoka," Anakin interjected, grinning. "You know I can see straight through you."

"But really, I-"

"Uh huh."

Lux's POV

Once both Ahsoka and Skywalker were out of vision, the group erupted into chatter. Kenobi and Captain Rex tried to calm down the situation, but even they were sneaking glances at the cot, worried expressions on their faces.

Lux felt a strong instinct to go talk to Ahsoka, but it would be quite pointless with Skywalker already with her. He lifted his gaze and listened.

People around him were whispering and making guesses as to what had just happened.

For a reason, he thought. He'd spent quite a while around her, first on Raxus and then on Carlac, but he had never seen her act like this. At first she had seemed perfectly fine and happy, and then the next moment she became completely different.

Thinking about Ahsoka being sad caused a strangely unpleasant feeling in his chest.

Thinking about the way she smiled at him just moments before caused a different kind of sensation. One that made him feel slightly uneasy.

"Alright everyone, calm down!" yelled Master Kenobi, interrupting his thoughts. "Let's continue."

And then they were practicing again.

Ahsoka's POV

Ten minutes in the poorly lit cot was enough for Ahsoka to get absolutely blinded by the Onderonian sun. She rubbed her eyes a little and began scanning her surroundings.

The others were unsurprisingly still throwing droid poppers. Admittedly, it hadn't been easy for her the first time either.

As in the literal first time she ever threw one.

The second throw 5 seconds later had been successful.

Let's just say she was a bit skeptical of the qualifications of these freedom fighters.

"Ahsoka!" Lux yelled.

"Hi," she answered, and immediately cringed at her response.

"Well, uh, Steela and Saw are improving with their throws."

"That's great." She didn't know why, but she just couldn't form proper sentences right now.

Lux wasn't smiling like he had been 10 minutes earlier. She guessed that was because he was talking to her and not getting all touchy with Steela. That thought made her feel like she should run back inside the cot and not show herself for the rest of the day.

"Master Skywalker said we can move on to target practice," Lux continued. "You wanna come train with me?"

With you? Me? Is he talking to the wrong person?

Hoping that was not the case, she accepted.

"You don't have to call him Master Skywalker. He doesn't mind being called Anakin," she added, attempting to add something to the conversation, but her ears were ringing and it all sounded like gibberish to her.

"Eh, I'd prefer not to," Lux mumbled. "He's pretty intimidating."

"Hey, he's not even a master yet!"

"He isn't?"

"Nope," Ahsoka assured. "And he likes to remind me of it. He says it's 'outrageous and unfair'"

"That's actually surprising," Lux puzzled. "Isn't he one of the most accomplished generals in the Republic? You know, the Hero With No Fear?"

"That's not the only factor. No one as young as him has ever been granted the rank of master."

"Well, he seems like a great Jedi to me. At least his apprentice is really cool," Lux smirked.

Ahsoka felt a tiny smile appear on her lips.

Perhaps things weren't quite that bad.

Next chapter will be longer, but not that long. When I try to write longer ones, I keep putting it off and it ends up taking a year... I'll try updating this more often. With that being said I have no real plan for this, I kinda started it based on an idea I had at 2 am. Anyway...
