Chapter five:
The next day Leo's scent has gone down and Leo does feel more energized compared to before.
"We can go back whenever you're ready." Raph mentions and Leo nods before the red banded turtle turns away.
Leo looks at Raph a little longer than he should. He turns away wondering what his life is going to be like now that he's an omega. He's almost kind of not wanting to go back. He knows that there will be some changes like that he probably can't go out alone, other alphas won't take him seriously and will try to attack. He likes the peacefulness of the Farm house where he doesn't have to worry about that. He tells himself though that he is needed back in the city... At some point at least... "Okay. I'm not ready to go back yet but I'll let you know." He gets a nod from Raph at this. He is truly glad to be able to relax for longer. He wants the freedom of this place even if it's just for a bit longer.
Raph does seem patient about it at all which is nice to Leo.
Leo feels even more relaxed here with Raph's patience. He is truly glad for the other's understanding and willingness to wait.
Soon enough the two are enjoying the rather nice weather outside.
Leo is lying in the grass soaking in the warm sun.
Raph on the other hand is checking the area where the crops are usually grown. He scowls a little at seeing all the weeds. He forces himself away to go to Leo since he's not here enough to make planting worth it. He sits next to the omega turtle looking at him.
Leo is churring happily yet softly with his eyes closed. He could almost pass as being asleep right now.
Raph feels warmth in his chest as he watches Leo. He thinks that the other looks rather cute currently. He looks away not wanting to get caught staring. He wonders what Leo would say about his feelings for the fearless leader himself. He doesn't want to ruin what they have by admitting it. He however has found his desire for the other growing stronger with the other as an omega. He isn't sure if he can keep his desire hidden for too long. He will be able to not go too far, though he may end up blurting out his desires at some point.
If Leo doesn't want him that way then Raph will respect it.
Rejection is a good way to help desires remain more under control, at least for Raph.
Raph decides that if they head back before then he will do it later. He would want to let Leo be able to talk to others, instead of being alone with him, if the answer is no. He just won't be able to help it if it does come out on its own.
"Raph?" Leo's voice snaps Raph out of his thoughts.
Raph turns meeting Leo's now open eyes that are looking at him.
"Is everything okay? You looked troubled." Leo mentions and Raph lets out a small breath.
"Yeah. Just thinking to myself." Raph shrugs and offers a small smile to the other. "Just that I like someone but doubt that they like me to. It's fine though. It's not that big of a deal." He wonders if he imagined the look of slight disappointment on Leo's face for a moment.
"Oh I see." Leo shifts to sit more up with a calm look again. "Well you won't know until you tell them right?"
"I suppose so." Raph lets out a breath at this. "And if they do reject me it'll be probably be a good way to get rid of these feelings."
Leo nods his head. "And you're a much better alpha than others outside of our family. There is alphas out there that won't take no as an answer. Especially from an omega." He glances down making Raph blink a little worried. "I never thought I'd have to potentially deal with that."
"Ah, don't worry about it." Raph places a hand on Leo's shoulder getting the others attention back to him. "You're a badass Ninja. If they try to force ya or anything then you beat their asses. They'll hate it but know better than to mess with ya again."
Leo smiles a little at this. "Yeah. Thank Raph."
"No problem Fearless." Raph responds sharing a smile with the other.

The two stay for a week longer before finally heading back to the lair. They keep a low profile to not draw any alpha attention to Leo. They are soon standing before the entrance to the lair.
"You ready?" Raph whispers to Leo who takes a quiet deep breath.
"As ready as I'll ever be." Leo whispers back. He knows that his family is more accepting and not like some of those on the surface. So his position as leader is safe, though they may get a bit laughed at up above for having an omega leading even some alphas. He has to trust that they'll be able to get through whatever will be thrown at them. He just still feels a bit nervous despite knowing how his family will welcome him back warmly.
Raph places a comforting hand on Leo's shoulder for a moment. He lets go as the two head inside of the lair.
Mikey turns from the couch and is the first to notice that the two are back. "You're home!" He rushes over quickly hugging Leo almost knocking the other omega over.
Leo gives a hug back to the other. "Hey. Yeah we made it."
Mikey pulls away after a good hug. He sniffs the air around Leo. "Aw. I really like your scent!"
"Thanks." Leo doesn't seem to know how else to respond to that. His hands are taken into Mikey's own.
"Don't worry! You'll have plenty of help figuring out omega stuff! Don't be afraid to ask any questions you need to know about."
"Okay. Thanks." Leo nods and Mikey finally lets go of him.
"Donnie! They're back!" Mikey races off to the lab to find his mate.
"Let's get ourselves actually inside before we're swarmed." Raph suggests getting a nod from Leo.
They head further inside putting down their bags for now by the couch.
Splinter emerges from his room and approaches the two who dip their heads in greeting. "It is good to see you again my sons. Today you can relax and let yourselves settle back in at home. Tomorrow we will have a meeting to be able to discuss some changes to how we will handle things. Mainly to keep you safe as a new omega."
The two nod in understanding and Splinter heads off letting them have a chance to relax.
Almost right after Donnie and Mikey emerge from the lab with Mikey clinging to his mates arm. The two head over to their older brothers.
Donnie also takes in the new scent. "Your scent suits you." He nods to Leo who gives a simple nod back. "It's good to see you two back. Things have been pretty quiet. So no sign of any enemies yet."
"That's good." Leo confirms to Donnie at this.
"I'm going to get something to eat." Raph mentions heading towards the kitchen.
"I'll help make something!" Mikey offers hurrying after Raph.
Donnie clearly knows that Raph isn't a threat to his relationship. Hence he isn't worried about his omega hurrying after the other alpha. He turns his focus on Leo for now. "How are you feeling?"
"Alright. Definitely better than when all that happened." Leo mentions to the other. "I knew that a presentation was horrible. However I'm pretty sure I underestimated just how bad." His words get a slight chuckle from Donnie.
"Yeah. You can't really understand how bad it is until you go through it." Donnie nudges Leo's arm with his elbow a little playfully. "Though you definitely had a rough time. Gave a good scare at one point. So you may have had it worse than the rest of us."
"Sorry for scaring you guys." Leo apologies only for Donnie to wave it off.
"It's fine. What matters is that you made it out alive." Donnie assures him which does make Leo feel better. "Feel free to still rest a bit more for a bit if you need to."
"Relaxing after getting back here does sound nice. But I'm pretty sure I'm recovered from the whole ordeal." Leo tells Donnie who nods glad to hear it.
"I'm gonna see what the two are going to have to eat." Donnie doesn't walk yet wanting to see if Leo wants to follow him.
"I'm okay. I think I'll come in a minute." Leo sees Donnie nod in understanding then head to the kitchen. He grabs his stuff heading to his room. He places his stuff down deciding to put things away later. He sits on his bed letting out a breath after getting there. He lays back on the bed with his back on the sheets and his gaze facing the ceiling. He stares up at there for a bit. He wonders who Raph could like. He's found himself liking the alpha more and more. He had suspicions that he liked Raph for a while now. He thinks that his feelings may have been amplified by becoming an omega. He never thought Raph would want him as alphas tend to go for omegas as it is nature.
It is rare for a beta to be picked by an alpha or omega, however even then an omega or alpha may become involved with the one who isn't a beta.
Leo had prepared himself for a lonely life as a beta. He closes his eyes with a sigh reminding himself that the alpha he likes has feelings for someone. He supposes that he didn't ask Raph who he liked. He just doubts it's him since he was a beta until recently. He probably shouldn't really waste his hopes on someone who has probably never even considered him. He sighs heavily and shifts himself on the bed to lay his head on his pillows, his body lying on the side now instead of his back. He stays there trying to not think about Raph possibly not wanting him. He doesn't want to let himself think of something that hurts to think about. He wonders if he can fall asleep so he doesn't have to think.
"Leo! You want pizza?" Mikey calls out causing Leo to open his eyes.
Leo can kind of hear Raph and Donnie telling the youngest something. He figures it is probably about Leo possibly resting and Mikey might be bugging Leo. "Yeah! I do!" He calls out shifting off his bed glad to hear them calming down. His words having helped soothe any possible fight that might have started. He heads out joining his brothers in ordering pizza. He even smiles as he gets an idea. "Let's watch a movie too!"
The other three also look happy at the idea.
"I'll make a fort!" Mikey hurries off to the living room.
No one stops him as making a comfy spot does sound nice to them all.
This will be a great movie night they can all tell, likely relaxing as well which Leo and Raph especially appreciate after all the walking.
