Canyon
The Scene shows a canyon zooming in to two monsters battling. A Punklike creature a dinosaur that's half cyborg. The dinosaur was gonna win until the creature countered with a powerful attack that caused the dinosaur to pass out. The winner sign was over the creature's picture and the loser had the dinosaur's picture.
Park - day
Screen zooming out there are two boys playing Digimon on their Vpets in the park. A boy named Kai grinning with victory while his opponent was upset.
Kai is a 12-year-old boy, he has black spiked hair kindof like Tai's, wears goggles around his neck and sometimes his head, wears a black shirt, blue ripped jeans, grey socks, and black shoes. His Vpet was black colored.
"Aw man, I thought I finally got you with my metalGreymon for sure this time." The boy said."
(grinning) "I know, but you almost won but you should always be prepared for anything, whelp see you later." Kai said as he gets ready to leave."
"Hey, next time we battle I'll win for sure." The boy said."
"We'll see then," Kai said."
"Wait, shouldn't let your Digimon rest, you've had 10 battles today?" the boy asked."
"Why, he's strong he can handle anything and if he dies, I'll just replace him, Digimon are just data Created using Celtx anyway," Kai replied."
(Disapproval) "Dude, that's not cool we care for our partners we can't use them as toys," the boy said." Don't you care if your partner who you work with got sick or... "
(annoyed) "Look, it's just a game and Digimon don't have feelings so stop making excuses already," Kai said as he starts walking away disappointed."
"Man, what's his problem?" the boy asked."
(bored) "Man, these guys are too easy to beat I want a real challenge. They should also stop talking about Digimon having feelings jeez," Kai said."
Park - Day
(V.O) "Hi I'm Kai, a young preteen dreaming of having an adventure. Lately I've been playing my Digimon game on my Vpet like everyone else. I always win my battles because I just push my Digimon to victory," Kai said."
"Honestly, you're too full of yourself," a girls voice was heard."
Kai turns around and sees a girl with her hands on her hips looking annoyed with Kai. She was a cute red head in a ponytail, wearing a t-shirt, a bracelet on her left arm, a watch on her right arm, a skirt, high knee socks, and clip on shoes. She also has a pink Vpet attached to her waist as a keychain.
(annoyed look) "Oh, hi Crystal why must you keep continuing to nag me every time?" Kai asked sarcastically." (V.O.) "This is Crystal, she and I are childhood friends. Both of us really love Digimon, but she feels that Digimon have real feelings. Kids think she's weird because of it. Even I don't believe her, but I protect her from bullies."
"Kai, first I don't nag and second you should be more considerate to your Digimon you should let him rest," Crystal replied."
"Why, Digimon don't have feelings they're just data so get over it and let's go home," Kai said."
(pouting) "Fine, sometimes you're insensitive with my feelings and your Digimon's feelings," Crystal said."
(annoyed) "So what, I just want a real challenge, real adventures and face the toughest tamers ever. If my Digimon dies so what, I'll just replace it with a better one, it's just a game. It's the last day of summer and I've faced everyone at the park. I want a better excitement in this game," Kai said."
Suddenly an electrical surge started to happen causing sparks and streetlights to go haywire. A portal opened unleashing two Digimon at the park battling each other causing destruction.
(shocked) "Crystal, what's going on, that's blacktyrannomon and Monochromon battling. Crystal?" Kai said as he looks at Crystal knees they were shaking."
(scared) "I... can't... move," Crystal said as tears were running down her face."
(yelling) "Crystal, get up hurry we got to get out of here fast!" Kai said."
Fire Breath!" Blacktyrannomon said as he's blasting at Monochromon."
Volcanic Strike!" Monochromon said as he's blasting at Tyrannomon."
Their attacks caused a big explosion in the park causing Kai to react with fear.
(grabs Crystals hand) "Run!" Kai yelled until his and Crystals Vpets started glowing." huh our Vpet's are changing."
their Vpets turned into digivices. Suddenly Kai's digivice started to light up showing his partner Digimon Stefilmon.
"Stefilmon, you're real?!" Kai asked."
(surprised) "Whoa," Crystal said."
Stefilmon used a powerful attack and sent the Digimon back through the portal before it closed, but Stefilmon started falling onto the ground running out of his strength.
(smiling) "Stefilmon, you did it!" Kai said until he saw Stefilmon collapsing Stefilmon what's wrong?"
(petting his nose) "He's Dying," Crystal replied."
(shocked) "What! you're kidding right he can't die he's made of data right?" Kai asked."
(shaking her head) "No he's not, I'm sorry," Crystal replied."
After seeing his partner is dying and Crystal being right. Kai walked to Stefilmon and started hugging him.
"Stefilmon, I'm so sorry" Kai said as tears started coming out."
(Fading) "Its Ok Kai, you may have pushed me to my limits and only saw me as data, I saw you as my best friend and partner and you'll always will be," Stefilmon said." We'll see each other again, that's a promise."
Stefilmon fades away smiling at Kai.
(crying on his knees) "Stefilmon!" Kai Shouting to the sky."
The screen fades to black to the next morning showing a sign saying 3 weeks had gone by since the Digimon encounter. Crystal goes to Kai's house to see how he's doing.
Kai's house - Day
Crystal rings doorbell allowing Kai's mom to answer it.
"Hello Kai's mom, is Kai here?" Crystal asked."
"Hi Crystal, he's watching T.V.," Kai's mom replied."
Kai is seen sitting on the couch busy watching the news about the attack 3 weeks ago while holding his digivice still realizing Digimon are living creatures, and he was too dumb to see that.
"3 weeks had gone by, and no one knows about the destruction at the park, luckily nobody was injured in the event, but the question is what were those monsters, and will they return to wreak havoc?" the news woman asked."
(walking up to Kai) "Hey Kai, are you doing ok?" Crystal asked."
"No, I feel empty because my partner is gone and you were right about Digimon having feelings, So I just need sometime alone right now," Kai replied."
(looking sad) "Ok, I'll see you tomorrow" Crystal said as she starts walking out the door."
Park – next day
The next day Kai rides his bike to the grocery store. He passes the park that is under construction. He overheard a group of children talking about the incident.
"Man, those monsters were awesome," boy 1 said."
"I know, I think it's a new VR game to make it more realistic." The second boy said."
KAI gets upset and stops his bike.
(yelling) "Are you guys that dumb? It wasn't a game that was real!" Kai yelled."
The group of children turn to see Kai.
"What are you talking about Kai?" the second boy asked."
"Yeah, what do you know?" a girl asked."
(calming down) "Nothing, I'm just a little stressed that's all," Kai replied."
"Then don't take it out on us jerk," the second girl said."
Kai rode his bike leaving the park to the store to do some grocery shopping for his mom.
(sighing while parking his bike on the bike rack) "Time to shop," Kai said."
Kai starts walking to the store with the slide doors opening
"Hi Kai, doing some shopping?" the store owner asked."
"Sure am," Kai replied."
"Is your mother doing fine?" the store owner asked."
(confused look) "Yeah, she's doing just fine," Kai replied while getting the food." (thinking) 'why does he keeps asking me that every time I come in here?'
(feeling bad for him) "Are you're still thinking about the incident?" the store owner asked."
(feeling down) "Yeah, it feels like I lost a good friend," Kai replied while coming up to the register."
"Well, I hope you feel better" the owner said as he's cashing and bagging the food then handing him the receipt."
"Thanks, I'll see you later," Kai said."
He walks out of the store carrying a bag of groceries to his bike.
Kai's - house - day
Kai rides his bike home, when he got home, he meets up with Crystal at his house with big news.
(feeling excited) "Kai, I got news (shows Kai a letter addressing to him and her) look at this," Crystal said."
(looking upset) "Will you stop going through my mail," Kai said looking upset while holding bags of groceries."
"Sorry, but this is really big," Crystal said."
"Alright already, but first help me with the groceries OK," Kai said."
"Sure thing," Crystal said."
Crystal grabs Kai's keys and unlocks his front door and they both walked inside meeting up with kai's mom washing dishes.
"Hey mom, I'm home and Crystal's here too," Kai said."
"Hello," Crystal said."
"Hi you two, thanks for getting the groceries, Kai," Kai's mom said."
"Sure thing," Kai said while putting the food away." oh and Crystal went through our mail again. "
(surprised and got upset) "You snitch, well then, I guess you don't want your letter," Crystal said."
(frowning) "Fine, give me the letter," Kai said."
Crystal hands him the letter.
(confused) "Hey, there's no address (opens his letter and reading it) Dear Kai we are delighted to inform you, and your friends have been enrolled to Digital academy a private school," Kai said." (looking confused) Digital academy, I've never heard of it, have you mom?"
"Nope, I never heard of it," Kai's mom replied."
"Actually, only the kids involved in the incident 3 weeks ago got these letters," Crystal said."
"I think you both should go," Kai's mom said."
(feeling unsure) "I don't know mom, it seems really suspicious to me," Kai said."
"Why not, it could be fun," Crystal said."
"I guess so, then let's go pack and get ready," Kai said."
"Good idea, oh I should go pick the right outfit gotta go bye," Crystal said as she dashes out and heads home."
Nighttime and Kai getting ready for bed
In Kai's room - night
(In bed and thinking) 'Am I doing the right thing, this so call academy that no one's ever heard of is mysterious,' Kai thought' (yawning) oh well better sleep then.'
Unbeknownst to him, on his desk, his digivice started blinking. zooming in, it showed a digiegg.

"Hi, it's me Kai. Welp here we are digital academy, this place is amazing and learning about it will be just as fun. Huh, my digivice, wait it can't be," Kai said." Next episode, Digital academy and return of an old friend, see you next time."
Ending theme plays.
This was a script assignment I did in college. My plan is to make it a TV series, but for now it'll be a fanfiction story. This series is also inspired from the anime and games including the apps, including what if stories.
