A/N: Welcome to this week's edition of "Heart, Soul, and Mind". Sorry for the delay in posting, got occupied with Memorial Day weekend. Anywho, today, it seems someone lost their soul. Not only that, but we're finally gonna know why the Devil is wanting us so badly, from a much better source. Stay tuned!
(Normal P.O.V)
The group looked toward the source of the blood curdling scream they heard…and what they saw made them gasp with horror. They saw Dice once more, using his new abilities grabbing Mugman's chest, trying to take out his soul!
"MUGMAN!"
Feeling instincts kick in, Lexie bolted to Dice, hoping to suckerpunch him and help Mugman, shouting "DICE! GET AWAY FROM HIM! NOW!"
"NO! MUGMAN!" Cuphead screamed as he raced to help his brother.
"No, guys! Wait!" Katie shouted.
"You might hurt Mugman!" Natty called.
Just as the two reached for him, Dice used a spell, pushed the two back hard, skidding across the floor. Then, to everyone's horror, Dice ripped out Mugman's soul, leaving the child colorless and even lifeless. He then panted before he collapsed onto the ground, unconscious. Dice then proceeds to place the soul into a crystal sphere, gazing at it with a wicked grin.
"Huh, that worked better than expected." He sneered. "Well, I got what I came for. One down, more to go!"
He then gave a terrifying cackle, and teleported out of the shop once more.
"DICE! GET BACK HERE YOU BLOCKHEAD!" Lexie shouted.
"No! Mugsy!" Cuphead cried, scrambling to his feet and bolted to his unconscious brother. He cradled him in his arms, feeling hot tears stream down his face. "Mugman! Mugsy! Wake up please! Mugsy!"
He shook him a bit, trying to wake him up, but he didn't respond nor did he woke up. Cuphead's body began to tremble, his breath shaking.
Lexie knelt down and hugged Cuphead, sadly claiming "Cuphead, I'm sorry...he's not gonna wake up."
She began to feel tears slip down her face as Cuphead screamed, "NO! MUGMAN! Please wake up! I-I'm so sorry!"
The entire group was silent and full of sorrow. Natty and Katie fought back tears, while Matt clung to Liam, whimpering with sadness. Even Kaichi was saddened as he perched himself on Katie's shoulder, his long ears drooping and his wings sagging.
Lexie after a moment or so, stood up and wiped her tears angrily.
"Y'all...I'm gonna kill him."
"He'll pay… DICE WILL PAY!" Cuphead shouted.
"I know. We all hate Dice for what he's done but… we can't just charge in without thinking things through first…" Katie sternly replied.
"If we don't act NOW, he'll take someone else!" Lexie pointed out.
"I feel awful…I-I don't think there's a spell to get it back…" Natty trembled, looking at her wand.
Tears fell from their faces, not sure what to say or even do next. They were too startled by what happened and were terrified of whatever other abilities Dice had and how he was planning on using them against the inhabitants.
"What can we do?" Kaichi asked, his ears drooping.
"For starters, can you all explain what had happened in my shop?" A voice asked from the door.
The group looked and saw Misterie was at the door, staff in hand as Aren the martial eagle palisman was alive atop of it. She was additionally carrying a sack filled with supplies. She looked around her shop, seeing the place a huge mess; items were scattered, broken, hanging from the ceiling and marks were scraped on the walls and floors.
"Oh darn. I guess we took fighting a bit too far." Natty thought. "And you wonder why Mom told you never to play ball in the house."
"Look, we're really sorry about the mess!" Lexie cried. "We were tryin' to find you and then Dice attacked us and…and our pal Mugman lost his soul."
Misterie placed down her sack and placed her staff to the side before approaching and kneeling down to Cuphead, who was still holding on to Mugman. She gently felt around him, feeling his neck and arms, before she stood up.
"For starters, we should return the young mug to my hut where it's much safer. Don't worry, I had cast powerful charms around my own home so it's difficult for even the Devil's good for nothing lackey to find." She replied. "And in the meantime… it would seem I will have to relocate my shop to a different spot… again."
The group nodded and proceeded to help Misterie clean up the place. The only exception was Cuphead holding on to Mugman, still looking very sad. No one could blame him.
A while later, after relocating the shop in a different area of Isle One, the team found themselves near the entrance to Misterie's home. The hut, much like the shop, was simple yet humble and welcoming.
"We're so sorry about the damage again, Ms. Misterie." Lexie sighed in sadness.
"We needed to find you and Dice made it more difficult for us." Natty added.
"It's quite alright." Misterie reassured. "It was a necessary sacrifice for a good cause."
"Well, we can give you these back." Katie replied.
Katie and the girls attempted to hand her their Keyblades, but to their surprise, Misterie shook her head.
"Actually, you may keep these for the time being. I have a feeling they may be of some great use to you in the future…"
"Really?!" Lexie beamed. "Oh that's amazing! Thank you!"
"Yes! Thank you!" Natty smiled.
Misterie nodded and turned to Katie.
"And for you…" She then reached into her sack and pulled out a small brown box. Curious to know what was inside, Kate opened it.
Inside, resting on a dark blue velvet cushion, was a necklace consisting of a round blue gemstone pendant on a dark blue-black necklace band. The pendant had two silver beads on each end at the top while it had only one on the bottom, holding two purple scarf-like ribbons with light blue tips in the impression of feathers. Next to the necklace were two white gold cuff-like bracelets with pointed ends at the top and teardrop-shaped blue gems while they had tiny round ones at the bottom.
"Whooooaaaa…" Natty gazed in amazement.
"They're beautiful…" Katie gasped.
"The bracelets don't do much, but there's a little magic in this pendant." Misterie explained. "An old friend of mine had asked me to pass that necklace onto young Katie here when the time is right."
Katie arched an eyebrow as she asked, "Who is this 'friend' of yours?"
"That's a story for another time." Misterie replied with a shrug.
"Do we know 'em?" Lexie chimed in.
Misterie nodded with a smile as she replied, "In time, you will."
The girls looked at each other with an added layer of confusion before Misterie rushed and grabbed some charms from a box.
"Now, hurry. We need to give the young mug the proper charms to prevent the Devil from corrupting his vessel while that demon's in possession of his soul…"
The group nodded and helped Misterie with the charms while Cuphead looked up at Natty with a teary eyed look on his face.
"W-Will we save Mugsy?"
"We will…I promise." Natty replied.
"We're gonna save everyone from that lunatic." Lexie chimed in. "Mark my words."
"And we'll make Dice pay for messing with THREE Mama Bears!" Katie declared, an angry yet determined glare on her face.
Once that was taken care of, the group slipped inside the hut and the door was closed shut and locked. Misterie had settled Mugman onto a bed as she prepared the charms.
"It has taken me years to perfect these but they're strong enough to ward off even the Devil's strongest spells and curses." She stated. "Until his soul returns to its rightful owner, the young mug's vessel will be safe here."
"O-okay." Cuphead replied, his lip trembling.
Katie placed a hand on his shoulder in comfort, her eyes bearing concern, sympathy and guilt.
"I feel like this is partially my fault…" she thought. "If only I had caught onto Dice was up to, Mugman wouldn't end up like this. Why is the Devil so bent on getting the girls and me? What is it that makes us special enough to kidnap us and try to make us his little 'family'?"
Lexie seemed to catch on to Katie's facial expression and asked, "Kate, you okay…?"
"Huh? What? Oh, yeah, I-I'm okay. I guess, I feel a bit guilty for this." Katie sadly replied. "I-I should have kept an eye on Mugman and because we let our guard down, Dice managed to get his soul. I should have been more careful…"
"Kate, don't be ridiculous. None of this is your fault." Lexie replied. "If anything, it's 100% Dice and the Devil's fault. They're the ones doing this, so they get the blame for their own actions."
"Lexie's right. You did nothing wrong." Natty chimed in. "They're big jerks who can't handle losing and are now using horrible methods to win."
"I-I guess. I still feel bad. I've never seen Cuphead so upset before." Katie mentioned.
"Well, of course he's upset. That's his brother for cryin' out loud." Lexie reasoned.
"I would be horrified if my brother was hurt like that." Natty mentioned. "I know we have our differences, but I still love him."
"I don't have siblings…but I know I'd feel mortified if anything happened to Liam or Matt…or either of y'all…" Lexie sighed.
"You're right. Thanks, Lex." Katie smiled weakly. "I'm sure we'll find a way to help Mugman."
Lexie nodded while adding, "We will. There's no question about it."
"But first, I think we need some answers about the gemstones as well as why the Devil could want us." Natty mentioned. "Thanks to tall, dark and ugly, we're still in the dark."
"Ugh, don't remind me." Lexie scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Honestly, I think this whole 'be part of my family' thing is about control. For some reason….he wants to control us."
She then looked to Misterie with a concerned look on her face.
"Do you have any idea why the Devil would want us so badly? And about those…gemstones?"
"As a matter of fact, I do…" Misterie answered.
The group then sat on the soft sofa, ready to hear what she had to say.
"Katie… Alexis…Natalie… there's more to the three of you than meets the eye. So much more…"
"Okay…I gathered that." Lexie arched an eyebrow. "But…how exactly?"
Misterie exhaled gently. "Have any of you had any dreams before coming here? Anything concerning any visions of particular creatures and such?"
"Um…I've been having recurring dreams about a Phoenix and an angel while The Phoenix by Fall Out Boystarted playing. But that's before I came here."
"Now that you mentioned it, I did have a few dreams of a winged wolf, as well as a firefly. Then the song "Fireflies" by Owl City just played in my head, but the lyrics were different." Natty mentioned.
Katie thought this over before she spoke up, "I did have dreams about a blue dragon with bird-like wings as well as a dragonfly while there was a blizzard of white rose petals, and hearing the song, "The Call" by Celtic Woman lately. But when Sally Stageplay and her husband found me… my dream was different than the ones I had before."
"Different?" Kaichi asked.
"In the recent dream before I woke up in the theater…the dragon was accompanied by a yellow phoenix with feathery butterfly-shaped wings and a pink winged wolf…" Katie struggled to remember. "Before that, they were in the form of winged hearts. When I was drawn to the blue one, they transformed into the dragon, phoenix and wolf before they then flew upwards to form into a tornado and… that's all I can remember before I woke up."
"Hey! That's the exact same Phoenix I dreamed about!" Lexie exclaimed.
"And that wolf too!" Natty added. "Okay, that can't be a coincidence! Wait, during that song, when he revealed…they could be the same…"
"What're you talking about Nat?" Liam asked with an arched eyebrow.
"Erm, well, the Devil had gone into a musical number, and before you ask I don't know why, but near the end of it, I saw three gems; a teardrop, a butterfly, and a star." Natty explained. "The star kinda looked like the one from my dreams. And the other gems, they might be the same ones."
"Yeah, I thought he was referring to the necklaces on our necks as an implied threat." Lexie added. "Then again, the Devil has the tendency to be 'hidden in plain sight' when revealing stuff…"
"I mean, I could be completely off, but I feel like those were the same ones." Natty mentioned, shrugging.
"No, I think you're right, Nat." Lexie nodded. "Cause I saw butterflies in my dreams. Glowing yellow ones. And then I saw the Phoenix flying around."
Katie reaches for her locket and looks it over as something occurred to her.
"In my dreams, the heart bears some similarities to the symbol on my locket." she murmured. "I have a feeling none of this was any coincidence."
Lexie turned to Misterie as she asked, "What could all this mean?"
"It means… the three of you are receiving visions of your past." Misterie answered.
"Our past?" The girls asked simultaneously.
Misterie nodded. "As I said, there's more to you than you think for none of you are purely human… In fact, you are each born different from other worlds."
"Uh…that can't be right." Lexie replied. "I was born in Dallas, Texas…"
"Yeah, and I was born in Chicago, Illinois." Natty replied. "And my mom told me nothing was complicated with the birth or anything."
"My mom told me that I was born a month early and she had to have a C section since my umbilical cord was choking me. Other than that, nothing else really happened."
"To be honest, I can't remember where in the UK I was born. I really can't remember everything in my childhood." Katie confessed.
"I only remember a bit. But just not my birth. Course that's normal." Lexie shrugged.
"Same. I looked at photos and home videos when I was little." Natty mentioned.
Misterie shook her head as she replied, "I'm afraid your births are much deeper. Your mothers from your worlds had to make a few sacrifices to pass each of onto your… other mothers, to put it mildly, to ensure you all grow up safe, happy and strong until you're all ready to know the truth."
Lexie paused for a second before she asked, "Sooo…you're sayin' they pulled a Virgin Mary?"
"That can't be right…" Natty pondered.
"I don't understand." Lexie asked. "If we were not born on Earth, then how did we get there?"
"Each of you were born with unique magical abilities, capable of doing many amazing things. However, a great evil force feared this and attempted to abduct you as infants." Misterie explained. "This forced each of your birth parents to send you away to different parts of Earth; Katie to England, Alexis to Texas, and Natalie to Illinois."
"This great evil force…was that…the Devil?" Lexie asked.
Misterie shook her head. "I'm afraid I cannot be certain, Alexis. Whomever this evil force was, he or she was well hidden by all forms of magic and technology."
"What about the gems?" Katie asked. "How are we connected to them?"
"The gems carry a purpose." Misterie explained. "They each serve as a gateway between Earth and other worlds such as this one. Keys, if you may refer. Once you were all brought to Earth, the gems had to be hidden away until the time is right for all of you to know about your past. Unfortunately, the Devil had apparently discovered them and took them into his possession and… well, you all know the rest."
"Ugh…that guy is always the crux of our issues…" Lexie muttered.
Natty examined her Keyblade and looked closely at the fine details of it. Then she noticed something.
"Hmm. That's odd. Something's written on mine. It looks like it reads…Scriptor? Yeah, that looks right."
Katie looked over her Keyblade as she also noticed something written on it as well as she said, "Same with my Keyblade. It reads… Binder? I don't know… they never taught me how to read Latin in school. Only French."
"I know Sasha took Latin in college. She would ask me to help her study for exams so a bit might be rubbed off." Natty mentioned, looking over Katie's shoulder. "Let's see…Binder… well, it's pretty self explanatory, the process of holding things together."
"Mine says Illustrator. " Lexie piped up.
"What does all of that mean?" Katie inquired.
"The names engraved on your Keyblades are your titles." Misterie explained. "The three of you have different potentials when it comes to writing stories, as you are all connected with creating fictional tales based on this world."
Turning to each of the girls, she explained, "Natty, you are the Scriptor, one that can write the story, and work within the finer details. Lexie, you are the Illustrator, the one who brings life and color to the story and to the characters, presenting images of the people, places and events. Katie, you are the Binder, the one that holds the adventure together, keeping track of their journeys and preventing unwanted visitors from interfering or even changing it."
"Oh! I see! We're like a collab team! I write the story, Lex draws the pictures, and Kate keeps them together! That's cool!" Natty smiled. "I guess that makes sense, considering we bring life to our stories in different ways."
"Yeah, like when I give ideas I've created on my computer based on how one looks or even how the characters are presented." Lexie pondered over.
Misterie nodded as she said, "The three of you are the heart, soul and mind of your stories and all those who are involved in them. As you can see, our young Sprigon created from the incredible imagination of Katie is a prime example of your magic. That is why the dark force is wary of you. And now that the Devil knows of you, I fear the worst is yet to come should he attempts his claws on all of you again."
"If the Devil gets his mitts on the girls again, Inkwell is doomed!" Cuphead gasped. "Who knows what he'll do when he has those powers."
"But, he can't take them away from them. Right?" Liam asked.
"No, he can't since their magical abilities are their birthright," Misterie answered. "However… he will resort to any means to control the girls themselves and have them use their magic for his wicked benefits."
Kaichi groaned. "Oh, great… that's even worse."
Katie bit her lower lip, looking nervous. The very thought of being under the Devil's control and back in his grip was not a pleasant thought, especially since he could easily marry her. She trembled as she remembered how he held her chin, ran his claws through her hair and how he stared deep into her eyes with lust.
Natty took notice and rubbed her back.
"It's okay, Katie. He's not going to get you. We'll make sure of it." She assured her.
"I know…" Katie sighed in reply. "But… I'm more worried about you and Lexie. The concept of being forced to be the daughters of the Devil can't be good for your Christianity."
Lexie rolled her eyes. "Nat and I are not gonna bend at his will and neither will you. He's condemned and he knows it; he can't withstand the power of God."
"Besides, if he was smart, he would have figured out that Lex and I were Christians and backed off." Natty mentioned. "If he thinks he can tempt me to leave my faith, he's got another thing coming."
"Even so, the Devil will not stop until he obtains what he desires." Misterie cautioned. "And he will destroy those who will stand in his way. Even going as far as to inflict harm on those who you all hold nearest and dearest to your hearts as a means to break your spirits."
Cuphead shifted uncomfortably as he looked over at Mugman, lying on the bed near the couch. His heart did break badly when Dice took his soul and he was worried about the others he could take from. Even Elder Kettle's soul, just for the fun of it.
"There's got to be a way to stop him." Liam argued. "He's desperate and won't stop until he has them back where he wants them."
"There is a way." Misterie stated. "But it would require proper training and a tough journey to master. The girls must learn to tap into their magic and control their powers if they are to defeat the Devil."
"But…but how?!" Lexie exclaimed. "Look, I hate to sound pessimistic, but dude's literally a 50 foot demon and…"
Lexie paused, taking a sigh as she limped her head, "God, when he was manhandling Kate like that, I never felt so useless in my life…"
"The Devil always has the arrogance to believe that he can get away with such an heinous act since your powers had laid dormant over the years. So, it's easy for him to assume you would be powerless against him since to him, the three of you are still humble mortals." Misterie stated.
"Soooo…how do we activate our powers?" Natty asked.
"I'm afraid I don't know all of the answers." Misterie replied. "It is something you all must learn for yourselves. But what I do know is now that you are here, it is very likely they will surface… in time at your great hour of need."
"Well, that's reassuring, I suppose." Lexie shrugged. "I guess I'm just worried that I won't match up against him. What if it's not enough?"
"You are all stronger than you think." Misterie answered. "And you will still have each other to depend on one another. The love for your friends is your greatest power."
She then took out several crystals and shines them over the lantern, creating beautiful streams of light. The light beams shine upon the walls and ceiling, creating something similar to the starry skies as shapes of various creatures took form.
"Whoa!" Natty exclaimed. "What is all this?"
"When every soul in the universe is born, in essence a spirit stands besides them." Misterie stated sagely.
"Why?" Katie inquired.
"To light their way through a long, dark night." Misterie explained. "And sing them songs to guide them."
"Why's that?" Lexie asked, arching an eyebrow.
"Because each of us has a destiny that sets us all apart."
"A destiny that sets us apart?" Natty repeated.
"Indeed."
Misterie took a prism and pointed it at one of the lights, which caused it to split off into three directions across the room.
"The path is different for you and me…but the journey starts in the heart."
****NEW SONG: "Who You Really Are" From Balto 2****
*The song starts out with Misterie pointing her prism light to both sides of her as it lit up like a glorified flashlight.*
Misterie: You must go to the East…go to the West…the road is rocky and the way is far.
*The five humans, Kaichi, and Cuphead look at each other confused while Misterie glides to a more central part of her living room.*
Misterie: It's a dangerous trail, a difficult quest…
*She then takes her staff, Aren flying off of it (which startles Lexie and Natty) before she twirls it around.*
Misterie: If you want to know…who you really are…
*With a tap on the floor, she teleports herself and everyone to a dark cave, filled with crystals and lights. The group all hears random whispers echoing in the cave while they all witnessed lights shaped like animals glowing all over the cave*
Misterie and Chorus: There are voices all around you…
*Three particular lights stand out, one blue, another yellow, and another pink, as they start to fly all around the three girls*
Misterie: To comfort and guide you…
*The lights then turn into animals and float behind the girls. The blue dragon floats behind Katie, the yellow phoenix hovers behind Lexie, and the pink winged wolf behind Natty, swirling in tandem around them respectively.*
Misterie and Chorus: Fathers and teachers, powerful creatures…
*The three creatures then float in front of the three girls, and they glow brightly.*
Misterie: And a voice that sings inside of you….
*The yellow phoenix then forms into a silhouette of a woman with butterfly-shaped angel wings, floating directly in front of Lexie, her eyes briefly glowing yellow. Lexie closes her eyes, still worried and insecure about her power.
Lexie: Should we turn back around…run along home? (Turns head to Liam and Matt) Back to the place where our friends are…?
Katie: Is that the best? Leave this to rest?
Natty: Is it worth going on a dangerous quest…?
*The three girls look up at their glowing silhouettes, which are forming reflections onto nearby crystals in the cave.*
Lexie: Regardless, we want to know…
Natty: We truly want to know…
*All three girls hold their hands while bowing their heads
All three girls: We really want to know….
Misterie: Who you really are….
Chorus: Who are you?
Who are you?
* The random chorus continued to chant "Who are you?" as Aren perches himself back atop of Misterie's staff as the silhouettes of the creatures begin fading out into the starry backdrop.*
Misterie and Chorus: Who are you?
Who are you?
Who are you?
Who are you?
Who are you?
Who are you?
****END SONG****
Once the song has ended, everyone is back in the room of the hut.
"Wow… that was new." Cuphead commented.
"Yeah. New indeed." Liam agreed.
"I'll say." Kaichi added in.
"Never thought a musical number would cheer me up somewhat." Lexie mused. "I guess it's good to get it outta your system."
"Sooooo….now what?" Natty asked.
"Well, we need to warn the other debtors about the Devil's plans." Lexie replied. "The fact Dice just took Mugsy's soul tells me he's out to get everyone."
"Indeed." Misterie replied. "But take heed; the Devil won't stop until he has all three of you in his grip, so stay on the move until we can find a way back home for you."
"But Inkwell is a pretty big place." Liam mentioned. "Where should we start first?"
"We are in Isle One and Hilda mentioned sending word to Cagney…" Lexie pondered. "So I guess that leaves the Root Pack, Goopy, and the frog brothers Ribby and Croaks."
"You know, I've always wondered how Goopy of all people could owe his soul." Natty mentioned. "It amazes me how a guy like him lost a bet."
"Bets are not the only way one sells their soul, Nat." Lexie replied. "The Devil is infamous for contracts…deals. And people will sign them for a variety of reasons; be it money, fame, power or whatever. But sometimes…it's to protect and provide for their families…and the Devil will capitalize on them."
Nat nodded. "Yeah, that makes sense."
"Which debtor is the closest we can find and warn them about the Devil?" Katie inquired.
"Maybe we should go to the Root Pack first." Cuphead suggested. "They're nearby the cottage. I…need to tell Elder Kettle what's going on."
The group nodded in understanding as Lexie put a hand on Cuphead's shoulder.
"No worries, man. Let's head out then."
Before heading out, Cuphead mentioned to Misterie "Erm, thank you for helping us, and sorry for your shop."
"It's quite alright, young cup." Misterie replied. "Dice is the one that should be sorry, not you."
"And he'll be VERY sorry…" Lexie growled, clenching her fist.
"Before you all leave, I have one thing I need to give you…" Misterie stated, reaching into the pouch on her belt. "Girls, hold out your hand, please."
Katie, Lexie and Natty each did as they were told, as they each held out a right hand right hand. Misterie took out what she was searching for and placed them into each girl's hand.
In each of the women's hands was a charm that bears a mild resemblance to the Heartbinder charm from Kingdom Hearts 3.
"What are those?" Cuphead asked.
"They look like one of those summon charms you can use to summon an ally to assist in battles from Kingdom Hearts." Katie exclaimed in awe as she examined her charm.
"Oh it's so beautiful." Natty gasped. "Thank you so much."
Misterie smiled in reply as she said, "You are most welcome. "And indeed, they are summoning charms. You can summon any ally of your choice from other worlds. You just need to think of an ally who is capable against certain circumstances, concentrate with your heart and the said ally shall come to your aid."
"Wow, that's so cool!" Natty smiled. "Don't worry, I'm sure these will come in handy."
"Also, Katie, Lexie… there's a special feature on your weapons I had overlooked to mention." Misterie spoke up.
"Really? What's that?" Katie asked, confused.
Misterie smirked mysteriously. "Touch them and see for yourselves."
Shrugging, Katie and Lexie each held up their Keyblades and touched them. In a small burst of light, they transformed again… each into the form of a bracelet.
Lexie's bracelet consists of autumn brown cords woven together with three beads in the middle. The bead in the middle is sunset orange while the other two at either side of it are both sunshine yellow. The clasp holding the bracelet in place is the shape of a golden butterfly.
Katie's own bracelet is made from woven light blue cords and the beads were an opalescent pearl white. The clasp in the back is in the shape of a small silver heart.
"Whoa!" Katie gasped as she looked over her new bracelet in stunned awe.
"So cool!" Lexie exclaimed, admiring her own bracelet.
"You didn't think you would have to carry those things all the way through on your journey, did you?" Misterie chortled. "Just concentrate and they will be ready for use whenever you need them."
Natty concentrated and her own Keyblade reverted back into its wand form.
The group bidded Misterie farewell before heading out of her humble home. While the plan was straightforward to warn the other debtors, the process of it was going to be very dangerous.
With the Devil and his goons hunting them down, there was no telling what other tricks he had up his sleeve.
And the heroes were scared to find out.
A/N: Wow, that was alot to take in! How will we activate our new powers? And what wicked nonsense do the Devil and his goons have in store for us now? Join us next time on "Heart, Soul, and Mind"!
