A/N: Welcome to this week's edition of "Heart, Soul and Mind"! Today, we're visiting Cala Maria to warn her of the Devil's plan. But uh oh, it seems Ol Stupid's after her as well. Will we get to her in time? Stay tuned!

(Lexie's P.O.V)

So we arrived at Cala Maria's cave. I gotta say, it was way bigger than I expected it to be (which in hindsight made sense cause she's a giant mermaid/gorgon lady). I couldn't shake that horrible nightmare I had out of my mind, Dice giving me what Natty calls the "bedroom eyes", holding me like that…UGH!

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard Natty marvel, "Whoaaaaaaaaa…."

"That's incredible." Kate chimed in.

"It's beautiful…" I mused. "And to think that part of the boss fight was difficult."

"Ugh, tell me about it…" Nat groaned.

We advanced closer and closer into the cave, which became darker and darker with each square inch we traversed.

Briney then lit some lanterns on the side of the ship and Nat created a large torch providing light. Just like in the boss fight, the cave was completely covered in scarlet colored crystals scattered all throughout, and when the light hit them, it practically shimmered. It was so beautiful.

While mesmerizing to gaze upon, one of the things that worried me was the silence of the cave. The only sounds that were made were the waves and the ship treading on them, but no Cala anywhere.

"Hello?! Cala Maria? We've come to warn you!" I called, my voice echoing.

"Hello!? Cala?!" Natty exclaimed.

"Cal! Where are ya?!" Cuphead called.

Still, there was nothing.

"Hmmm these waters be quiet…too quiet." Briney pondered. "When ships arrive, the waters are restless."

Just hearing that, I began to have that same bad feeling from before.

"Oh come on...don't tell me…"

Just then, we heard a loud, blood curdling…

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

"No! No! No! We just got here!" Natty groaned.

"Hang on, Cal! I'm coming!" Cuphead called, putting on his goggles and scarf. He grabbed his plane and once he got it to a proper size, he hopped in and flew off.

"Right behind ya, Cups!" Chalice chimed in, getting into her own plane.

"Full speed ahead, Briney!" I called.

"Aye-aye, lass!" He then steered the ship deeper and faster into the cave while Cuphead and Chalice flew ahead.

"We can't be late! Not now!" Katie gasped.

"CALA! HANG IN THERE!" I shouted as loud as I could.

We advanced further and as the screams got louder we were horrified to see… a giant Devil taking Cala's soul. Or at least was trying to because Cuphead and Chalice were distracting him with their airplane attacks. It was like from the classic movie "King Kong" where he was fighting off the planes while he was on top of the empire state building.

But seeing the Devil the size of a giant was something very terrifying to see. While it was one thing to see him like that in the throne room, it was another to see him outside the casino.

"Oh jeez!" Natty jumped.

Matt whimpered and hid behind Liam. For a split second, I felt bad for Matt; this was probably a sight that would scar him for life.

"You freak! Let Cala go!" Cuphead shouted, as he continued to zoom around the giant Devil.

"Sorry but I don't take orders from the likes of you!" The Devil growled, as he attempted to swat Cuphead's plane.

While the battle was going well, we still needed to do something. But with Nat still learning her powers, not to mention still learning to fly for long periods of time, and Kate was a bit worn out after that battle with Rumor, we needed a new plan.

Just then, I spotted a harpoon gun on Brineybeard's ship. Getting an idea, I dashed to it and grabbed it.

"Y'all be quiet...I'm hunting Scratch Butts." I claimed, making the signal to be silent.

I definitely resisted the urge to utter the goofy laugh that Elmer Fudd would let out after his iconic "Be vewy vewy quiet, I'm hunting wabbits".

But now wasn't the time for Looney Tunes jokes.

"Good call." Nat nodded, as I got in position.

"Wish I had my phone would make a great epic video…" Liam trailed off, as he hid behind some barrels with Matt.

I carefully snuck across the ship, aiming the harpoon at the Devil while trying not to hit Chalice or Cuphead.

"Ohhhh boy...arcade games don't fail me…" I muttered.

Cuphead must've seen what I was doing, because he started to draw back, motioning to Chalice to do the same.

"What is that boy up to?" The Devil muttered, as he was a bit confused.

*TWANG!*

I shot the harpoon gun straight at the Devil. Sadly it didn't kill him (cause y'know, he's an immortal son of a gun), but it did leave a nasty scratch and mark on his arm, causing him to shriek in pain.

"ARGH! YOU LITTLE PEST!" He roared.

"Whoo! Nice shot Lexie!" Natty cheered.

Twirling the harpoon gun like a cowgirl does with her pistol, I winked to the gang as I remarked, "I still got it."

It was true; there was a time when I was younger where I went out shooting with some guy friends of mine and being provided terrible earbuds, I tilted my head to cover one ear while covering the other ear with my free hand.

I was still a better shot than all my guy friends, by the way, so there was that.

"Yoooo! That was awesome!" Cuphead laughed.

"Amazing shot!" Chalice called.

"Oh, you like laughing huh? Well, laugh at this!" The Devil growled.

Just then, instead of going towards Cuphead and Chalice, he caused a nasty tidal wave, making the ship shake violently.

"Whoa!" Natty cried.

"Yikes!" Kate gasped.

As the boat shook, I rushed to the front of the ship and created a wall of paint which blocked the tidal wave, Kirby Canvas Curse style. Thankfully, the waves stopped and we were safe.

"Whew thanks, Lex." Natty sighed.

"Yeah, thanks." Liam added.

"I-I don't feel so good." Matt groaned, looking a little green.

"Easy, Matt, easy…" Kate tried to comfort him.

I then created a small fan with my paintbrush, and waved it in front of him. "Get some air and look ahead of you. That should help."

After a second, he took a deep breath and gave me a cute smile. "Whew, thanks."

"Alright, now we got some oversized throw rug to deal with…" Natty muttered.

"Uh, he's HUGE though." I reminded her, a bit panicked. "Any ideas on fighting a giant demon?"

"Man, when you said he was huge in the throne room, you were not kidding…" Liam trailed off.

"Wait. Maybe we let Cuppy and Chalice battle him from the sky and we take the ground." Natty suggested. "Make it difficult to choose who to fight."

"That's a plan!" I beamed. "Briney, you good with that?"

He nodded and whistled to his ship, which became sentient, just like in the game.

"Attack that dreaded horned beast!"

The ship began blasting cannons at the Devil, angering him. He wanted to attack the ship, but Cuphead and Chalice made it harder for him to do that.

I have to say, I wish the ship came to life in the show. Would have been super cool to see, but I guess you can't include everything from the game.

"I'll help Chal and Cuppy! You guys deal with him on the ground!" Kate informed us, transforming into her dragon form.

"You got this, Kate!" Natty gave her a thumbs up.

"Be careful, Kate." I claimed.

She nods and flies off. As I got my paintbrush ready, Natty transformed into her wolf form, stretching a bit and baring her teeth.

" I could use a bit more practice with this form." She mentioned.

"Think you can take on a passenger?" I asked, as I brandished my paintbrush.

"Yeah! Hold on tight! I hit and run hard!" Natty warned me.

I nodded as I hopped on her back. Ok, gotta say, her fur is super soft!

And we were off! Natty flew gracefully as she and Kate dodged the Devil's attacks, and I helped block whatever attacks the Devil threw at them via my paintbrush.

Oh, and the ship was spewing out huge pink lasers like in the game.

"IMMA FIRIN' MAH LAZOR!" I laughed.

Ah, I love that meme soooo much.

While all of this was going on, Katie swooped down at the Devil and blew a stream of fire across his back.

"Get him, Kate!" I cheered.

"Yeowch!" The Devil yelled out in pain.

You'd think that'd knock some sense outta someone like the Devil, cause he wouldn't want anymore pain right?

Nope. He just looked at Katie with the creepy grin again. EW!

"Awww, you can breathe fire. How cute. Let me show you mine!

Turning into his dragon-serpent form he took a deep breath and blew fire ALL over the place. Dude really put Bowser from Super Mario to shame with how much fire he was spewing.

"Look out!" Nat and I shouted.

Kate was awesome; she quickly barrel rolled to one side before launching a terrain of icicles across his back and over his head.

The whole experience must've felt like we were at the Super Bowl cause we were all cheering her on.

"Yeah! Way to go, Kate!" Natty cheered.

"Whoo! Go, Kate!" Cuphead chimed in, adding in a whistle for good measure.

"That's showing that glorified rattlesnake!" Chalice called out.

Just then, Katie started to show yet another ability as she suddenly encased herself in rocks and stones and threw herself at the Devil, striking him like a wrecking ball.

Oh lord, I feel the Miley Cyrus song creeping up in my head.

"Oh, yeah!" Kaichi cheered!

"Yoooo that's cool!" Natty giggled.

"Wow! that was amazing!" Liam applauded.

Fine, I couldn't keep it in anymore.

"She came in like a WRECKING BALL!" I sang jokingly.

Natty started laughing, enjoying that humorous act and singing.

The Devil shook that off and thought "Huh, she has the ability of an earth element. Interesting…"

The Devil decided to change tactics and vanished in the water.

Now we were all confused.

"Ookkay? What just happened?" Cuphead asked, lifting his goggles from his face.

"I've got a bad feeling about this…" Kate pointed out nervously.

Just then, the water bubbled and now in the form of a giant octopus similar to his cartoon show counterpart. He grabbed a hold of the ship and started pulling and shaking it hard.

"AAAHHH! HE'S THE KRAKEN!"

Dang it, Nat! I wanted to say that line! And to think, when she was working on her sequel for Within the Fine Lines, I wanted to say that then too! Oh well.

"Nat, next time the Devil turns into a freaky Davy Jones ripoff, I get to say the line. Okay?"

"You have my full permission to do so." She nodded.

"Whoa! Did not know he could do that!" Liam cried, as he grabbed his fighting staff.

"Lexie! Boys! Captain Briney! Look out!" Katie cried out.

"Hey! Watch it!" Kaichi exclaimed, dodging another swipe.

"Arrgh! That'd be the most terrifying sea beast me eye has ever laid upon!" Briney grunted. "Hold tight, lads and lassies!"

He pulled out his squid (yes, his pink squid from the boss fight) and began firing at the tentacles.

"Hang on, Captain!"

Nat swooped down and Kate zapped at a few tentacles with her electric breath and flew higher and out of the Devil's reach as one tried to swipe at her.

"Hold still, my love! I want to get a good look at my queen-to-be!" The Devil sneered.

"How about look from ALL THE WAY OVER THERE!" I shouted, creating a paint blast at the Devil, which shoved him a good distance away.

The Devil was knocked back quite a bit, but it still wasn't making any difference. We needed to think of something, and fast.

"Hey, Nat, have you watched the original Powerpuff Girls?" Katie called out all a sudden.

"Oh yeah, loved it and have seen the movie. Why?" Natty asked.

"Well, in that one episode where they were celebrating their birthday, Mojo Jojo had sent them a robot as a "gift" to destroy them." Kate explained. "It has extendable arms and and they tried the robot to chase them with its fists and even its head, tricking it into tying itself up. And in one episode of The Little Mermaid series, Ariel tricked a giant squid to tie itself up in its own tentacles."

"Ah! I see! Let's do it!" Natty grinned.

Kate turned to the Devil and gave her most tauntingly annoying face to him.

"Oi, Devil! Catch us if you can, you overgrown calamari!"

Natty then made a goofy face and blew a raspberry at him.

"We'll see about that, my love!" He grinned.

The Devil tried to grab Natty and Katie with his furry tentacles as they flew around him, unknowingly tangling them up as they deliberately wove about, dodging his attempted grabs.

The Devil was fast, but Kate and Nat were fast flyers as he struggled to catch them.

"Whoa!" I exclaimed while ducking away from one of the tentacles.

"Argh! Hold still!" The Devil growled.

"Make me, ya overgrown alley cat!" Nat called out.

"You gotta do better than THAT, ya Big Dope!" Kate laughed, sticking her tongue out at him.

They continued to fly around, tricking the Devil into tangling more of his tentacles together, until they were in one big tangled mess.

"Huh?! What the?!"

"Whoops. Looks like you're 'knot' in a good spot!" Natty laughed.

We all burst out laughing while Natty brushed her fur with pride.

"Ahhh, I make myself laugh…" She sighed.

"Sorry, big guy, but I'm afraid you've got your hands… 'tied' at the moment! Tee hee." Katie snickered in an innocent tone of voice.

We then busted out laughing again, this time, harder. I practically wheezed and doubled over, that's how hard I laughed.

"Good one, Kate!" Kaichi laughed.

The Devil rolled his eyes and replied sarcastically, "Oh ha ha ha ha. I forgot how to laugh."

"We can teach you if that's okay." Natty suggested.

"It's called having a sense of humor." I chimed in. "You should try it sometime."

The Devil, now ticked off, transformed back into his normal giant form and grabbed Katie in his fist.

"Ha! Got you now, my beloved queen!"

"Kate!" Natty cried.

"Oh, no! Leave her alone!" Cuphead shouted while Chalice gasped in horror.

"Let me go!" Kate shouted, squirming in his grip

Ohhhh no! No freaky Elmo rip-off on crack is gonna grab MY friend like that and get away with it!

"Oh no, you DON'T!" I yelled, taking out my paintbrush. "GOKU! I CHOOSE YOU!"

With a swipe of my brush, I managed to bring to life Goku from Dragon Ball Z. Now mind you, I haven't seen much of the popular anime, but I saw enough of it to know how it goes.

"Whoa! So awesome!" Kate gasped.

"Wow! Amazing!" Natty smiled.

Goku transforms into his Super Saiyan form and rockets at the Devil, beginning to beat the mess out of him, delivering flurries of kicks and punches all at once.

"Oh! Ouch!" Liam gasped, covering Matt's eyes.

"Sheesh! That's crazy!" Cuphead winced.

The Devil was forced to lose his grip on Katie and she quickly flies out of there just as Goku arched back, ready to unleash his signature technique.

Yes, the Kamehameha.

"Hit him real good!" Liam called

"Kamehame….HAAAAA!"

A huge beam of energy protruded from Goku's hands as it landed straight at the Devil, who could only block it with his arms (which didn't do much good for him). The Devil was then knocked off his feet, badly bruised.

"That's showing him!" Kaichi laughed.

"Yeah! Awesome job!" Natty cheered.

She and Kate landed on the ship, turned back into their human forms, and Goku came down beside us, returning back to normal.

"Whew, this power really takes a lot out of ya…" Nat sighed.

Turning to me, Katie smiled as she said, "Thanks, Lex. And you, too, Goku."

Goku, who returned to his normal black-haired self, grinned and winked at us, Liam and Matt absolutely freaking out with fanboy-isms.

"Gotta say, that was really cool!" Liam smiled.

"Yeah! Way to punch him!" Matt beamed, imitating his punching.

We actually fist bumped with Goku before he gave out his signing farewell gesture and disappeared.

"That was so awesome! I can't believe I actually bumped fists with Goku!" Kate squealed.

As we celebrated, the Devil groaned and sat up, now filled with anger. He looked over at the soul of Cala and gets an idea.

"Very well. If I can't win with my own abilities, let's see you fools take on a dear friend of yours!"

Just as we celebrated, we all felt the ship suddenly starting to rock due the water was getting extremely choppy

"Gadzooks! What's happenin'?!" Chalice exclaimed.

We all looked shocked as Cala emerged from the water, looking like a demonic and more terrifying version of herself. Even her snake hair looked more scary instead of their cutesy former selves.

Some of us were screaming, others were just shocked. Either way, this was NOT looking good, Not good at all.

"Oh no! Cala!" Natty cried.

"Now, lets see you pests deal with this one! Cala Maria! make them suffer!" The Devil commanded.

"Oh boy…this is gonna end well." I muttered sarcastically, biting my lip.

Cala raised her hands and made some motions with them. The water raised up and was flung towards us. They surrounded us and knocked us off our feet. I quickly caught myself before my face could hit a pane of glass-hard water as it had formed a bubble around me. I was shocked to notice the others were bubbled up as well.

All except for Cuphead.

"Uh oh!" He gasped.

"What the?!" Natty grunted, pounded on the bubble prison.

"HEY!" I yelled.

Okay, am I the only one that wanted to scream out Nostalgia Critic's line, "FREAKIN' BUBBLES!"?!

No? Okay, well, I did.

"Let us out!" Liam shouted, holding Matt close to him

"Ha! I don't think so." The Devil taunted. "Now since you're all 'bubbled up', it's time I get a new addition to my collection. Cala, get me that pesky cup!"

"CUPHEAD!" I screamed, pounding on the bubble prison.

"Oh jeez!" He gasped.

He nearly dodged Cala's hand as he flew. He dodged several times hoping to come up with a plan, but suddenly, she managed to smack him off his plane, causing him to fall right into the Devil's giant palm which enclosed trapping him.

"NO! CUPHEAD!" Natty screamed.

This was bad. Really, really bad!

"NO! LET HIM GO!" Kate shouted.

"NOO!" I screamed.

"Now that I finally got you, time to pay up, you little pest!"

"D-do what you want to me." Cuphead grunted. "But you will never have the girls! They'll never join you!"

"Awww, such bravery. Very, stupid bravery." The Devil sneered. "But I will be having my daughters and my bride join me, one way or another. But first, it's time to take what's mine!"

Then, he opened his claw and being quick and swift...he grabbed Cuphead's chest and started ripping out his soul. Cuphead then began screaming in great agony, much like the others who had lost their souls.

"NOOOOOOOOO!" We all screamed.

Chalice gasped in great pain as she grasped at her chest before she let out a bloodcurdling scream of agony. It was obvious that the Devil pulling out Cuphead's soul was hurting her too, seeing as half of his soul was in her.

"CHALICE!"

"NO! NO!" She screamed, collapsing onto the bottom of her bubble.

The Devil yanked hard and pulled out Cuphead's soul, holding it in his fingers. He grinned wickedly at it, and then dropped Cuphead, who was now lifeless and colorless, on the deck of the ship.

"Ohhh, I've waited a long time for this! Now I have a new set of tea cup souls!" He cackled.

As he glanced at the long awaited soul, he looked oddly at it. While it was astonishing that his soul was different from the inhabitants, there was something else that made is special.

"Oh, isn't this interesting. The boy's soul is in half as well. Just like the Mug's soul…" The Devil trailed off.

"NO! Let him GO! Leave him alone!" Natty shouted, tears streaming down her face.

"GIVE HIM BACK, YOU MONSTER!" Katie screamed.

"Alright I will...if you agree to marry me." The Devil grinned lustfully at Kate, shrinking down to his normal size and strode towards her bubble.

"Kate! Don't do it! it's a trick!" Liam shouted.

I couldn't say a word in response to anyone. I was just absolutely frozen in shock. First Mugman, and now Cuphead? No…no this can't be.

The Devil must've noticed my shocked face because he grinning like the fool he was, taunting, "Awww, how cute! Little Lexie is now defeated."

He then leaned against my bubble, fidgeting with Cuphead's soul like some fidget toy while smirking mockingly at me.

"Ya know, I heard that you made a promise to that old tea pot that you'd look out for his boys, but it looks like you failed, since you couldn't protect either one! What a shame it'll be, telling him he's lost both of his boys. Not so trustworthy now, are we?"

"Hey! Stop that!" Liam shouted.

"Shut up... SHUT UP!" I screamed, hot tears of anger and sadness rolled down my face.

"Or what, Lexie dear? You gonna pound me into next week?" He asked, mockingly. "Go ahead, see if you can break out. I'd be very impressed if you can do that with that pathetic art tool of yours."

"You give Cuphead back his soul!" Katie shouted, banging on her bubble. "And Mugman's as well as the others you have stolen! You're nothing but a vile, HEARTLESS BULLY!"

The Devil just sneered at Kate while I started body slamming at the bubble holding me. It just bounced me backwards against the back of it. It was worse than a bounce house.

"Oh, I'm sorry, my pet, but you forget, he owes me his soul for the mistake he made!" The Devil reminded her. "Besides, his soul is rather fascinating, don't you think?"

"YOU TRICKED HIM!" I screamed, my voice cracking. "He was too young to gamble and YOU KNEW IT! YOU TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THEM!"

"What did you expect from me? To play fair? Lexie dear, you know perfectly well that's not how I run things." He crooned at me. "Don't worry, I'll keep him in my soul vault, along with the rest of them!"

"Stop calling her that! She's not your daughter!" Natty shouted.

"In time, you and her will be my children and I'll have my radiant Katie by my side."

"Okay, that's just NASTY!" I gagged.

"I'd rather drown in these very waters than marry an evil old demon like you!" Kate shouted.

"And I'd rather be thrown in the DEEPEST PITS OF HELL than be YOUR kid!" I shouted.

"Oh, don't worry, Lexie dear. The three of you will be there soon enough."

He paused before mentioning.

"Seeing as the three of you are struggling to keep all the debtors from my grasp, I believe I will have you all in my powerful and wonderful family. You honestly think people will join you? Especially since they're dealing with me and my army?! Not to mention I have a bounty hunter who is more than willing to kill to get what I need."

He then sneered toward an unconscious Cuphead, grinning at his lifeless body.

"Once they see you all with me, they'll back down and I will RULE! Maybe I'll have this little Cup be my personal bodyguard along with his little brother."

"NO! LEAVE THEM ALONE!" Liam shouted, feeling Matt shake with fear.

"Don't you touch them…" I growled. "YOU UNDERSTAND ME?! DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH THEM!"

"Or what, sweet Lexie? Tell me, since you're trapped, what do you plan to do to stop me? Throw a temper tantrum? Please, I've heard all the insults. Not even the mention of God will shake me!"

He then turned towards me, his grin more menacing than ever.

"Face it; you failed hard. With the Isle under my control, everyone will give me the respect I deserve! And it will be all thanks to you, because you couldn't keep a simple promise."

"SHUT UP!" I shouted.

"Knock it off you freak! Lexie is not to blame! YOU ARE!" Katie argued.

"Awwww, and what does my lovely, sweet Katie plan to do, huh? Seems to me you're struggling to get out. Not even your powers can help. Just admit defeat and marry me. I'll give you a life better than anyone on that dull planet could." He snickered.

Time stood still for me while the Devil continued to flirt with Katie. I got flashbacks of a conversation the Cups and I had on the way to Cagney's...

It felt like yesterday. Cuphead, Mugman, and I were on the way to Cagney's when I decided to start a conversation. I had always wanted to know what the Cup boys' hopes and dreams were, to get to know them, not just as video game characters, but real individuals.

"Say guys, what do y'all wanna do when you're grown up?" I asked.

"I wanna be a great explorer, seeing the world and having new adventures!" Cuphead replied.

"I wanna be an ace pilot! I want to soar high to the heavens and learn new tricks with my plane!" Mugman chimed in.

"During my travels, I want to meet new people, learn more about the world and different cultures!" Cuphead mentioned.

"I also hope to learn from other pilots about flying and making new friendships with them!" Mugman added. "I could take you for a flight, Miss Lexie!"

"Man, that'd be awesome, Mugs!" I beamed with a smile.

I looked down a bit sadly. At the time, I was worried about what the Devil had planned for me, and what that would mean for my own future. What about Liam and Matt?

"Are you okay, Miss Lexie?" Mugman asked. "You look a little sad."

Snapping out of my thoughts, I replied, "Yeah I'm fine. It's just that…I'm worried, well, pretty much everything…"

"If you're worried about your friends, I'm sure we'll find them." Cuphead assured me.

"Yeah, you're right." I sighed.

I looked at the Cups; they reminded me of myself when I was very young; always eager for adventure, wanting to try new things, and having hopes and dreams of my own.

"Y'know, when I was your age, I had big dreams myself." I reminisced. "It's gonna sound kinda silly, but I always wanted to start my own studio. Like someone that brought stories to life and brought joy to everyone on the big screen."

I then sighed, "With work and other, well adult stuff, it's been hard to follow that dream. I wish I knew where to go from here…"

"Well, one thing I know; I know we can reach our dreams! I just know it!" Cuphead claimed, his voice sounding so determined.

I nodded, while replying, "Absolutely! As long as we do our best and never give up!"

"That's right! We won't give up no matter what!

The three of us did a group fist bump and laughed together. Nothing could ever break this bond that we had between the three of us…right?

The flashback ended as I snapped back to reality, hearing Katie whimper a bit, as she leaned up against the back of her bubble while the Devil ran a claw down the surface.

"Awww, no need to be startled, my darling. The wedding between us will be a day to remember." He grinned. "I'm looking forward to holding you in my arms…"

Kaichi looked green in the face as he gagged, about to vomit.

"Cut that out! She's not interested!" Natty snapped.

"You seem to forget, Natty, that when I want something, I will use any means necessary to get it. And getting my bride to agree will be the best challenge I've ever accomplished." He sneered. "And you'll be happy as Anubis marries you. I'm looking forward to walking my little girl down the aisle on her big day."

"Ugh! Over my dead body!" She shouted.

"Hey! Back off, you overgrown throw rug!" Kaichi snapped. "You'd better give Cuphead his soul back, or I'm gonna-!"

"What, you little fur ball? What are you planning to do if I don't give the cup back his soul? Puff up like a birdbrain?" The Devil taunted. "Ha! You're so small and pathetic you're not even worth my time."

Kaichi growled, his fur puffing up like a cat does, while Kate got even more angry.

"You leave him alone!"

"Hey, he made that threat, not me." The Devil shrugged.

"Even so, you're still a big bully who's soulless enough to intimidate and torment those who are smaller than you!" Katie shot back.

"True that!" Nat chimed in.

"Eh, no matter. Once I get the rest of the souls, the entire Isle will be in the palm of my hands...even you." He cooed at Katie.

"No…!" She gasped, holding Kaichi close to her.

"We'll never join you!" Natty shouted.

"Oh, but you will." The Devil sneered. "You three will be part of my family and together, we'll bring everyone to their knees!"

"NO! NEVER!" Katie screamed, scrunching her face.

"You know I don't take no for an answer, my sweet." He reminded her.

"I don't care! You can't force me to love you! I'll never be yours! NEVER!"

"Awww, never say never, my little swan…"

Kate gulped in fear while Kaichi puffed up his fur once more.

As I witnessed this, I felt a growing flame of anger that just kept growing bigger and bigger, and more aggressive. Those boys had hopes and dreams...and the Devil just threw it away like nothing!

And he had the NERVE to treat Katie like THAT?!

"Give him back." I demanded, in a low, cold tone.

He turned to me and chuckled. "Or what, Lexie? What are you going to do? Please amuse me. You can't use your Keyblade. Face it; you're trapped and helpless."

Okay, THAT WAS IT!

I stood up in my bubble, glaring hotly at the Devil. Honestly, I think my Irish genes were kicking in, cause my face was RED with anger.

"I SAID! GIVE. HIM…"

I felt my eyes change color, from green to bright yellow. Not yellow like the Devil's, but a lighter color.

I then gave the loudest, ear piercing screech that could ever come out of me.

"BACKKKKKKKKK!"

It caused an earthquake, which was causing Cala to lose focus. It released everyone, as they held their hands over their ears.

"Whoa!" Natty cried.

"What the heck is going on?!" Kaichi called out.

"Ow! That hurts!" Matt whined.

"Whoa! That's powerful!" Liam gasped, as he covered Matt's ears to help.

I continued to scream louder and louder, so much so that eventually, my bubble cracked. In hindsight, I think it had to do with the frequency of the scream. It cracked more and more until...

*SMASH!*

I smash the bubble in a blinding burst of yellow light. And before the Devil could blink...

*PUNCH!*

He was flung so hard he released Cuphead's soul and hit the wall behind him.

Hard.

The group was so shocked by what just happened. You could say they were speechless.

Without a word, I grabbed Cup's soul and quickly shoved it back in his body. Just then he gained his color back and life. He gasped and coughed, trying to catch his breath.

Chalice also gasped as Aya rubbed herself against her.

"Easy, buddy, easy…" I soothed, tightly hugging Cuphead. "You okay?"

"Y-yeah I think so…" Cuphead wheezed out.

As he looked at me, his eyes widened. "Whoooaaa! Lex, you're an angel…"

I blushed while replying, "Aw shucks, kiddo. I'm just trying to protect ya…"

"No, literally! You're an angel. You have angel wings! Look!" He pointed.

Now I was confused.

"Huh?!"

I turned around and sure enough, I had glowing yellow angelic wings resting on my back. What was interesting about them was that they were shaped like a butterfly's wings, covered in feathers like that of an angel.

"Oh wow! Now that's cool!" I smiled.

"They're lovely!" Kate beamed.

"Whoa! Lex! Those are amazing!" Nat marveled.

"So beautiful!" Liam chimed in.

I looked and even the Devil was terrified for a bit. I imagine it was him getting some kind of PTSD from his time in Heaven.

Ha! Serves him right!

"N-no that's-that's impossible! She-she's an angel! But how…?" He stammered.

"Wow, even the Devil is scared of me." I smirked.

"I mean, if you scared him, he knows he's in trouble." Liam mentioned.

"Yeah. If there's one thing that scares him the most, it is an Angel of the Lord meeting him face to face." Nat claimed.

"Go get him, Lex! Teach that overgrown throw rug a lesson!" Kaichi cheered.

"Yeah! Knock him outta the park!" Cuphead cried out.

"Show him who's boss!" Chalice chimed in.

I turn around glaring at the Devil. He's looking for a fight?! He just GOT one!

"You wanna go, pal?" I growled, cracking my knuckles. "Let's go! Right NOW!"

The Devil seemed to snap out of his own trance while snarling at me.

"Fine, just show me how strong you think you are, Alexis!"

"Don't need to tell me twice."

I pulled back and stretched my arms forward, blasting piercing beams of light at him. He got hit pretty hard with this as he struggled to counter attack it.

"Whoa! This is new!" Kaichi exclaimed.

"Amazing!" Kate lit up.

"Whoo! Go, Lex!" Liam cheered.

While the Devil was recovering, I blasted him with a barrage of fireballs. He quickly avoided them, getting a bit burnt on his fur, and attempted to blast me with his pitchfork. I swiftly dodged the attack and, using the firebending technique out of Avatar: The Last Airbender, I redirected his fire attack back at him.

He got hit and burnt a bit but growled at me. He changes into his dragon form and attempted to grab you and squeeze you hard.

"Lex! Look out!" Kate shouted.

"Incoming!" Nat called out.

I didn't care at that point; it was like I knew exactly what to do next out of instinct. I held out a hand at the Devil's chest and…

ZAPPP!

I generated an electric shock, which electrocuted the living mess out of the Devil. It even showed his skeleton just like in the show. Heh heh, gotta love cartoon logic.

"Ooohhh! That's gotta hurt!" Chalice winced.

"Sheesh! And to think, the one from the show was really funny." Liam recalled.

Katie hid her face in shock as she witnessed the whole thing.

"Oohhh, that's gotta leave a mark." Cuphead cringed.

I glared hotly at the Devil, my wings spread out looming over him, "Had enough yet?!"

After a second, the Devil claimed. "I'm just getting warmed up. Gotta say, Lexie dear, I'm very very happy your powers are finally shown."

"Why? So you can use me for your own selfish gain?!" I shouted. "Yeah I don't think so!"

I followed that up by blasting another fireball toward the Devil.

"You tell him, Lex!" Kate called.

"Oh, don't worry, I don't plan to do that. Yet. Once I have you three back home, then I'll start the next phase; getting you to submit to my will." he stated.

"Dream on, you overgrown fur coat! That's NEVER gonna happen!" Kate shouted.

"Yeah! You can forget about it!" Natty chimed in.

Kaichi blew a raspberry at the Devil while the fool just chuckled.

"Oh, don't worry I'll be planning carefully."

Katie let out a draconic growl as I continued to glare at the Devil.

"Oh, I see. Guess ya better catch me first!"

I started to fly away from him in all different directions, hoping to throw him off.

"Awww, playing games with dear old dad? Don't mind if I do!"

Ewwwww! SERIOUSLY?!

"UGH! You're NOT MY DAD!" I screamed.

"And that was the creepiest thing you've ever said!" Natty added.

"And your claim of making me your wife is bad enough!" Kate added.

"Not so much of a secret, if that's what's bothering you."

"You're horrible!" Kate snapped.

"Why thank you, my love. Very nice of you to say." He grinned.

"Ugh, hate it when he does that…" Natty groaned.

I blast him again with fireballs, now getting angrier.

"That's for coming onto Katie, ya DIRTBAG!"

"Very well. You want to play rough? I can do that too!"

I cracked my neck and made a 'come at me bro' gesture with my hand.

"Bring it, you sad excuse for a MUPPET!"

"Ooh this is gonna get good!" Nat snickered.

"C'mon, Lex! Give him what for!" Kate shouted.

He then transformed himself back to his normal form and began shooting out those crystal spheres, making them bounce around the cave as an attempt to hit me.

"Whoa!" I exclaimed, dodging them.

It wasn't long before one of them was about to hit me. Out of instinct, I held out a hand and…the sphere stopped dead in its tracks. Yo, did I develop telekinesis?!

Grinning, I stopped another sphere, and another…until they were straight revolving around me like I'm the freakin' Sun due to the momentum. I then released the spheres, blasting them right back at the Devil.

*SMASH!*

He got hit with several, but that wasn't enough to stop him. He then transformed into his gorilla form and tried to snatch me in his grip, hoping to stop me.

Ohhhh boy it's on like DONKEY KONG NOW!

I quickly dodged one of several grab attempts. I dunno why the idiot thought that was gonna work, seeing that I was way faster than him.

For all my Mario fans reading this, yes, I took out the hammer. I made two huge hammers out of pure light and when I got close enough…

*WHAM!*

I hit him on the head like he was in Smash Bros.

After giving him a few lumps on his head, he growled at me and changed into his dragon form. Gotta say, this really scared me.

I could barely react before he coiled his nasty freakin' body extensions all over me. Great.

"LEX!" The guys screamed.

"Ha! Got you now! Looks like I beat you." He taunted.

I squirmed in the coils and clawed at them. For a moment, I started to panic. Until I remembered something from my dreams.

Butterflies.

I took a breath, and the next thing I knew, I shrunk and transformed into a glowing yellow butterfly. It kinda reminded me of Timpani from Super Paper Mario. I managed to flutter away from the coils quickly.

"What!? NO!" The Devil roared.

I fluttered back up, turning back into my angelic form and PUNCHED him in the face, giving him a good uppercut.

He flung back and once more hit the cave wall behind him.

"Had enough now, Scratch Butt?" I growled. "Or do I need to put more fear of GOD into you?!"

He got up, shifting back to his original form, paused for a second, and grinned.

"Well, it seems to me that all three of my girls have finally unlocked their powers. I knew I found a way to trigger them."

"Uh EXCUSE ME?!" I shrieked. "YOUR girls?! Dude, that's literally DISGUSTING!"

"Just stating the facts. And now that I finally got you three to discover your abilities, I can now move on to the next phase of my plan." He continued. "But don't think this is the last time I'll see you. I will return for you, even if I have to bring you back kicking and screaming."

"Whatever, loser." I spat. "How bout you crawl back to the Hellhole you came from before I bash your face in?"

"My, my, always a way with words, huh Lexie dear? No matter. I still have more souls to collect. I would hurry. Time is not on your side."

Turning to Katie, he announced "I will see you very soon, my queen."

With that, he teleported out of the cave. The waters became steady once more and we all gasped and panted after that.

"Sheesh, that was insane." Natty gasped.

The bubbles all floated down and popped once they reached the deck while I floated down with them.

"Whew…what a workout…"

Feeling weak in the knees, I collapsed on the deck.

"Whoa, Lex. You ok?" Liam asked, rushing to my side.

"Yeah, I'm fine, Lee." I panted. "I think that power took a lot outta me."

"Well, I have to say, that was awesome." He smiled. "Man, that had to be good to do, getting even for all that he put ya through in the Casino."

"Amen to that! I…I just felt so much rage! Between him messing with Cups' soul and hittin' on Katie..I just couldn't take it."

"That makes sense. I know I would feel that way if someone messed with someone I loved and cared for like that." Natty mentioned. "But the good news is now you've got your powers unlocked!"

"Yep…that I did." I smiled weakly.

"While that is amazing to hear, we have to be extra careful." Kate brought up. "The Devil now knows about that and will probably come up with something worse to get us."

I nodded in agreement as I added, "True, and those knuckleheads will probably push to grab more souls, more than ever."

"But not if we get there first!" Cuphead mentioned. He then looked over at the cave entrance and saw the sun was setting once more.

"Wow, time does fly huh. It's almost night time."

"Wait, doesn't the Phantom Express only comes out at nighttime?" Liam asked. "We should go catch that train before we do to anyone else."

"That's a good point. Let's move out!" I declared.

Before we left, I noticed that Cuphead looked sadly over at Cala Maria, who like the others, was lifeless and colorless.

"I'm sorry, Cal. I promise you I'll get you back…I have to…I just…"

I wrapped an arm around Cuphead, bringing him into a tight hug. I then heard a sniff come from him and felt tears on my arm.

"It's okay, Cups…it's okay." I soothed him. "We will bring her back. And you're not alone. Never again."

He looked up with sad eyes and bit his lip before choking out. "You mean it?"

I wiped the tears from his face as I smiled gently, "Of course I do. You and Mugs fought the Devil by yourselves last time. This time, you've got our full support, and the surviving debtors. We may have lost the battle, but we haven't lost the war."

He wiped his eyes and took a breath. "You're right. Thanks, Lex. I just wanna get everyone safe and their souls back to their owners. I don't wanna let anyone down."

"You've already made so many people proud of you." I replied. "Elder Kettle, Mugsy…they'd seriously be proud of how mature you've become. You're growing up, kiddo."

He smiled a cute grin at me before hugging me. "Thanks, Lex."

"Don't mention it." I smiled in turn, feeling a small tear drop from my own face.

We then headed out of the cove and journeyed back to the docks.

Who knows what else that muppet maniac and his goons had planned for us…

(Normal P.O.V)

As the heroes made their way back to shore, little did they know that King Dice was watching from the looking glass of the throne room. He wanted to witness the boss's battle with them and to see what would occur.

However, when he saw Lexie's powers revealed, he was turned by her angelic appearance, his eyes glowing a bright jade green while he grinned a hateful smirk on his face.

"Ohhhh my, what a beautiful butterfly she is." He crooned, as he gazed at her angelic wings.

While he witnessed the blonde comforting Cuphead in a tight hug, he caressed her image in the mirror.

"Lexie, my love, I wanted you before, but now, I want you more than ever. And I will make sure you're all mine in no time."
